But the propaganda ministry is trying to convince us that this is all good news for the crime family that calls itself the Democrats.
The Great Conservative Migration
The results of the 2020 census are in, and the Democrats are looking very nervous. It turns out that red states are growing and blue states are shrinking. Red States are gaining three congressional seats while blue states are losing three. In fact, California will lose a seat for the first time ever. Legislative and Electoral College power is shifting in favor of the Republicans.
But the propaganda ministry is trying to convince us that this is all good news for the crime family that calls itself the Democrats. The narrative is that liberals are moving from blue states to red states and will eventually turn them blue. But as we’ve learned, if the talking heads are talking, they’re most likely lying. So, let’s examine what they’re saying.
My home state of Idaho is a perfect example of the migration. It has experienced a 17% growth in its population over the past 10 years -- the second highest in the nation (Utah was first). For most of the decade, the growth rate hovered around 1.5% annually. However, in 2020 the rate spiked to 2.9% -- almost twice the normal rate. Does it have anything to do with California being nearby? Maybe rampant homelessness, spiking crime rates, and oppressive COVID restrictions weren’t that popular with Californians after all. It seems locking the state down didn’t work any better for California than it did for Cuba -- though an escape from Newsomstan is a bit safer than giving the one-finger goodbye to the Castros.
A look at Idaho’s growth data reveals that California was indeed the big culprit -- but not alone. Based on 2018 migration data from the census bureau:
- 26.3% came from California. If Nevada were a body of water, we’d have had a boat-people crisis.
- 18.7% came from Washington state.
- 8.3% came from Utah. It must be due to Romney embarrassment.
- 5.9% came from Oregon. Even legal cannabis didn’t convince people that Antifa is mostly peaceful.
- 5.2% came from Texas. Texas is also growing and it’s starting to burst at the seams.
In fact, my wife and I were part of the migration. We lived for 36 years in American Siberia -- otherwise known as Minnesota. Politics in Minnesota has always been dominated by the Democrats. However, in recent years it has taken a decidedly radical turn. When Keith Ellison -- former supporter of the Nation of Islam and attorney to cop killers -- was elected attorney general, we knew it was time to leave. This anti-Semite, race baiter, and woman abuser was now the state’s top law enforcement official. What could possibly go wrong? One year after we left, the George Floyd riots happened. That’s what could go wrong.
We moved to the small town of Star, Idaho. I call Star the nicest refugee camp in the world. It’s a community of new housing subdivisions, wonderful schools (that don’t teach Critical Race Theory), numerous churches, and friendly people. It has also doubled in population in the last 10 years -- almost entirely from west-coast transplants.
With this level of growth, is Idaho turning blue? It doesn’t feel like it. We’ve made a number of friends here, and most are recovering Californians. Virtually all are more conservative than me -- and I clearly meet the DHS definition of a right-wing extremist (I still believe the Constitution means what it says). I even saw a pickup truck, with California plates, flying a “Trump 2024 – Screw Your Feelings” flag -- except the word wasn’t “screw.” It took me a while to get used to it but wearing a MAGA hat in public won’t get you mugged and a Trump bumper sticker probably won’t get your car vandalized. The place simply doesn’t feel like it’s sliding into leftwing lunacy.
But, apart from feelings, what does the hard data show? In 2016 Donald Trump won Idaho with 59.2% of the vote. After adding tens of thousands of new residents, mostly from California and Washington, the Donald won Idaho with 63.9% of the vote in 2020 -- and there wasn’t even the slightest hint of election fraud here. With our supposed slide into the embrace of Democrats, Trump increased his margin of the vote by almost 5%.
Between 2013 and 2019, the percentage of voters who registered as Republican went from 32.4% to 50.8%. Democrats added 52,300 voters to their rolls, but Republicans added a whopping 200,000 to theirs! Idahoans are becoming more engaged in politics, and their political proclivity is clearly conservative.
So no, Idaho is not going to turn blue anytime soon. I suspect the same holds true for Texas, Florida, and numerous other red states. Does that mean we can relax? No way. If we want to keep our liberties, we have to work for them. There’s no room at this party for any posers that think compromising with evil is okay (looking at you, Mitt and Liz).
Why are the Democrats and the media (to be redundant) saying the migration is turning red states blue? I think they’re trying to gaslight themselves. They desperately want to believe that states like Texas, Florida, Idaho, and Utah are turning blue, because the alternative is terrifying. Maybe they should move to Oregon and try some of that legal cannabis.
The reality is that conservative states are becoming more conservative, and they are gaining political clout at the same time. The people moving about the country aren’t missionaries going forth to spread socialism, any more than those fleeing Cuba in the last century were trying to bring communism to Florida. They’re escaping the blue states in search of the America of their youth. The America in which the only limit on what they can accomplish is their imagination and willingness to work. They’re political refugees.

Baltimore Propaganda: So Bad It's Laughable
Baltimore City, a once-proud industrial and commercial center in the mid-Atlantic, conveniently located between D.C. and Philadelphia, continues to slide into oblivion -- and one department’s propaganda machine is the warning signal rational people everywhere can no longer ignore.
Corrupt politicians, wasteful spending, horrible policies, and general negligence for the citizenry continue to highlight why this city is an increasingly horrible place to call home, despite the wonderful history, sports, parks, and food. Unfortunately, for me, as a Marylander, Baltimore is my neighbor. The crime, drugs, poverty, and general sense of hopelessness reside right around the corner from my home.
The education system in this city is notoriously corrupt and tragically incompetent.
The city is literally falling apart. I’ve seen it with my own eyes when I travel through the city for work. The countless vacant homes, abject poverty, and destroyed communities remind me of scenes from Detroit.
Despite the real problems: poor education, crumbling infrastructure, crime, poverty, and drugs, the city continues to hobble its own citizens and the local economy through arbitrary COVID measures. At the forefront of this effort is Mayor Brandon Scott and the Baltimore City Health Department.
The Health Department is focusing its effort on propaganda that continues to align with mainstream narratives regarding COVID, as well as to show their solidarity for Black Lives Matter. Yes, that’s right -- the Health Department is a supporter.
The other thing you’ll quickly notice is the content of their posts on Facebook. It seems like a peculiar mix of slick marketing and juvenile thinking, and there’s an ever-present sense of superiority in their word choice. The propaganda machine wants you to know that you’d better listen. They have the answers, and any contrary opinion is downright idiocy. Yet the harder they push their message, the more disingenuous it becomes.
The department’s posts range from helpful info about scheduling your vaccine to silly gifs that make little sense. When people push back and provide comments in opposition to the department, the administrator often replies with the simple phrase of “Stay Mad,” as if this is an acceptable and logical response. Although, if my guess is correct, the social media wing of the department is being run by a 20-something-year-old gender studies grad who has no sense of how to rebut arguments with any substance.
What particularly struck a chord with the public this past week and spread beyond Maryland, was a cartoony post about how to celebrate Memorial Day. One side showed an image representing those who have been “fully vaxxed” and can celebrate with food and friends at an outside BBQ -- “the absolute best”, as they describe it. The other side shows the “unvaxxed” who must stay at home, eat leftovers, and remain masked -- “the absolute worst.” A Maryland-based Facebook site caught the post before it was unceremoniously removed.
By all appearances, this was a legitimate post, although it didn’t seem to last long online -- It was apparently overrun by abject contempt from the readers. The propaganda machine was truly firing on all cylinders when they created this beauty. I understand there will be mistakes made, but this seems to be outright egregious. Just look at the absurd comparisons between the vaccinated and unvaccinated, not to mention the callous description of what it means to “celebrate” Memorial Day.
But, perhaps this is the best the city has to offer. And I don’t mean that facetiously.
If we look at the education system, high crime, horrible communities where vacant homes attract rats, trash, and drugs, who would want to move to Baltimore and make it home? When people outside of Maryland think of opportunity, I doubt they think of Baltimore. Their thoughts probably tend towards Texas, Florida, or Tennessee. The city isn’t drawing talent or new commerce, and unfortunately, the local population isn’t well educated or trained.
As we often hear, people vote with their feet. The city’s overall population declined from 1950 where the city peaked at almost one million residents to the current number which fell below 600,000 in 2019. That’s a 40% decrease.
Baltimore, like so many other cities, has been dominated by one-party rule for decades. Democratic mayors have dominated the city since the 1960s. This is not acceptable for a healthy and successful democracy to fully function. Instead, one-party rule allows for corrupt politicians and their policies to operate without checks or balances. The city continues to exemplify this unfortunate truism.
The sad result is that there’s so much untapped opportunity here. People want to be successful. People want to be safe and happy in their homes. If only those same people would realize they have the ability to make a difference by throwing out these corrupt politicians and leaders. The citizens need to regain a hold on the reins of power and rip them from the hands of the corrupt, ineffective, juvenile, thoughtless leaders that currently reign supreme. Only then will Baltimore have a chance at a bright future.

Rochester is the 5th poorest city in the country. It’s also one of the dirtiest, it has the worst schools in the state and some of the lowest literacy rates. The graduation rate hovers between 40 and 50 percent. 75% of Rochester's children are being raised by single parents.
The Democrat Model for the Future is the Worst City in America
The only things going up are murder rates, STDs and electric car chargers.

Rochester has the second highest urban murder rate in New York with killings up 56% and shootings up 90%. Once the 32nd largest city in the country. Rochester is at number 111 and falling. Its population shrank 6.2% since 2000. The poverty rate is at 31% and the only thing going up is STDs with gonorrhea up 77% and chlamydia rates placing second in the state.
So the Democrats are using Rochester as a model for America.
Hardly a week goes by without someone in the media, who has never been to Rochester and wouldn’t go there at gunpoint, describing it as the first city to conduct some socialist experiment.
Last month, the media was promoting Mayor Lovely Warren’s push to use drug revenue for racial reparations and basic income even though the last thing a city with open air heroin markets needs is the government handing out free money financed by drug sales.
Last week, the New York Times touted Rochester's war on highways under the headline, "Can Removing Highways Fix America's Cities?"
If Rochester is the model for fixing anything then the answer is always, “Hell no!.
But Rochester is always doing something excitingly progressive like defunding the police or being designated by Governor Cuomo as a "model EV city” and setting up electric car charging stations across a city with few electric cars and a plague of deadly carjackings.
The cheapest Tesla costs $35,000. That's also the average household income in Rochester.
Before Rochester became Cuomo’s model city for charging the electric cars it doesn’t have, it was his pick as a "model city" to fight global warming by building 10 miles of bike routes.
Those routes give Rochester’s bike thieves different options for making their getaway after over 100 bikes were stolen from a neighborhood biking program giving away free bikes.
“I just want to ensure that the people that did this know I love them and that our program is open to them,” Mayor Lovely Warren assured the thieves. “We’re just extremely sorry that life’s circumstances led them to a place in which they had to make a decision like this to rob a free neighborhood program of bicycles."
The free bikes program shut down this year.
Fresh off the efforts to make Rochester into a model city for electric cars and bikes, Mayor Lovely Warren embarked on a social justice spree of police defunding and reparations.
In 2020, Rochester police tried to restrain Daniel Prude, a career criminal who had been arrested 37 times and convicted 9 times,who had taken PCP and was wandering the streets. Prude shouted, "Give me that gun". Police tried to restrain him by hooding him and he died.
Morbidly obese white socialists showed up naked in white hoods and sat on the steps of City Hall with “Black Lives Matter” written on their on their bottoms to protest a black mayor.
Not even the most dedicated white supremacist could have come up with anything more racist.
After that the Black Lives Matter race riots and arson almost came as something of a relief.
Mayor Lovely Warren and the Rochester City Council defunded the police, cutting millions from law enforcement in a city with hundreds of shootings. Police Chief La’Ron Singletary warned that this would hurt the black community, but the media cheered Warren’s move. A Black Lives Matter organizer insisted that, “police make neighborhoods more dangerous.” Really?
"Murder, Carjackings, Violent Crime Surge in Rochester NY. Why?" a Democrat Chronicle article inquired this year.
It was a mystery no one could solve. Especially the police who weren’t allowed to solve crimes.
As murders rose 56% and shootings shot up 90%, Rochester decided to offer iPads in exchange for “working handguns and assault rifles”. No questions asked. A week after the “largest gun buyback in Rochester history”, four people were shot in just one day.
Five months after announcing that she wanted to reimagine the police, Mayor Lovely Warren was indicted on campaign fraud charges. Last month, her husband was busted in the takedown of a drug ring. The cops found a semi-automatic rifle in her home. Warren, who had allied with Bloomberg’s Everytown gun control group, claimed that she knew nothing about the weapon.
It couldn’t have been too shocking since her husband had already been convicted of armed robbery.
Mayor Lovely Warren blamed the whole thing on racism. “Things are not that different from the 1860s and 1950s,” she insinuated. It’s just like the 1860s in Rochester under its black female mayor, black female police chief, and 60% black city council with only two white members.
Warren then doubled down on racial reparations and police defunding.
It’s important to “invest in the people, in the neighborhoods that suffered from the criminalization of marijuana," she had claimed earlier.
Rochester isn’t suffering from excessive criminalization, but decriminalization. And the last thing a city overrun with drugs needs is more drugs, or police defunding, EV chargers, demolishing highways, or any of the other “progressive” gimmicks that Democrats keep jumping on.
The media is right. Rochester is a model. And a cautionary tale.
The former booming industrial city is a model for what the Democrats want to do to America, gutting industrial bases, replacing work with welfare, and then using black people as lab rats for radical social experiments like drug legalization and police defunding with deadly results.
Being a “model city” now means having every toxic leftist policy idea tested on you.
Democrats have failed at the most basic elements of governance in Rochester. And yet they keep rolling out exciting new ideas to fight global warming or transform society when they can’t even handle their existing responsibilities.

But this is the Democrat model that devastated cities and communities. The only thing that they have added to this mix since the seventies is electric car chargers and police defunding.
And then they blame the corrupt, violent, and impoverished hellholes their economic and social policies created on “systemic racism”. Like the naked socialists wearing white hoods to protest racism, they’re right about the racism, but the naked leftist emperors could use a mirror.
Whatever happens to Mayor Lovely Warren, her city will go on chasing every new progressive policy idea (and the cash and publicity that comes with it) even as life keeps getting worse.
And Democrats will try to turn every city, town, and village into another Rochester.
