JOBLESS CLAIMS SOAR - NAFTA JOE BIDEN SAYS AMERICA NEEDS AMNESTY SO 50 MILLION MEX FLAG WAVERS CAN BRING UP THE REST OF MEXICO AND WORK 'CHEAP'

(CNSNews.com) - At a CNN town hall Tuesday night, President Joe Biden seemed to admit that Democrat policies -- extended and expanded unemployment benefits and a moratorium on rents -- may be contributing to a worker shortage in this country.
John, the owner of a restaurant group with 39 outlets, told President Biden he can't find enough workers. The entire industry struggles to find employees, John said. He asked Biden how he plans to incentivize people to get back to work:
"Well, two things," Biden responded:
“One, if you notice, we kept you open. We spent billions of dollars to make sure restaurants could stay open. And a lot of people who now work as waiters, waitresses decided that they don't want to do that anymore because there's other opportunities at higher wages -- because there's a lot of openings now in jobs, and people are beginning to move. Beginning to move.”
Then Biden admitted "there's some evidence" that a moratorium on rents and expanded unemployment benefits may have kept people from going back to work:
I think it really is a matter of people deciding now that they have opportunities to do other things, and there is a shortage of employees, people looking to make more money and to bargain. And so I think your business and the tourist business is really going to be in a bind for a little while.
And one of the things, we're ending all those things that are the things keeping people from going back to work, et cetera.
It will be interesting to see what happens, but my gut tells me -- my gut tells me that part of it relates to, you know, you can make a good salary as a waiter or waitress. One of my sister-in-laws is -- of five sisters -- makes a very good salary. She works in Atlantic City, that's where she's from, but it is -- there's a lot of people who are looking to change their occupation, I think, but I could be wrong.
The American Rescue Plan extended the extra $300/week in unemployment benefits through September 5, 2021. The federal eviction moratorium ends on July 31.
Host Don Lemon asked Biden if he believes expanded unemployment benefits may be encouraging people to stay home:
"Well, that was argued it was," Biden said. "I don't think it did much. But the point is, it's argued that because extended unemployment benefits kept people -- they'd rather stay home and not work than go to work."
"You don't think it did that?" Lemon asked.
"I see no evidence it had any serious impact on it. But you can argue it," Biden said. "Let's assume it did. It's coming to an end. So it's not like we're in a situation where if that was it, and it ends, then we're going to see -- John's going to have no problem."
Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Jump 51,000 to 419,000
The jobs market’s progress appeared to stall last week.
New claims for unemployment benefits soared by 51,000 to 419,000 for the week ended July 17, the Department of Labor said Thursday.
Economists had forecast 350,000 new claims, a decline of 10,000 from the previous week’s initial estimate of 360,000. That estimate was revised up to 368,000.
The four-week moving average, which smoothes out week-to-week volatility and is considered by many to be a more reliable gauge of the health of the labor market, rose by 750 to 385,250.
Continuing claims, which are reported with a week’s delay, fell 29,999 to 3,236,000.
The federal government last year launched new programs that provide benefits to people not eligible for traditional unemployment benefits. The total number of continued claims under all programs for the week ended July 3 was 12,573,833, a decline of 1,262,814 from the previous week.
In around two dozen states, most led by Republican governors or with GOP-controlled state legislatures, have brought the federal enhancement to state unemployment benefits to an early end. That enhancement paid an extra $300 a week in benefits, which priced many workers out of the labor market by paying them more not to work than they earned when working. In the rest of the country, the enhancements will expire in September.
Federal courts in Maryland and Indiana ordered the state governments to continue paying the extra $300, undermining efforts to repair the labor market before the nationwide end. It is a stark reminder of the outsized role judges have in curtailing democratic control of the government in our troubled times.
Heritage Action Launches ‘Save Our Paycheck’ Tour to Highlight How Biden’s Policies Hurt Americans
Republicans Sen. Rick Scott (FL) and Gov. Brian Kemp (GA) will be featured speakers as part of Heritage Action’s national tour in August and September to highlight how President Joe Biden’s economic policies are hurting Americans.
“President Joe Biden and Washington Democrats are leading our nation down an unsustainable path with their failed economic policies and reckless spending,” Scott said in the announcement on Tuesday of the tour. “Americans deserve better. The Democrats’ spending addiction has created an inflation crisis and their solution is to spend more and tax more.”
“And instead of focusing on getting Americans back to work and helping small businesses re-open, Democrats are insistent on paying workers more to stay home and rely on government assistance,” Scott said. “These policies don’t work, and we are seeing it every day.”
The “Save Our Paycheck National Tour” is in response to the “Biden-Harris Administration’s war on Americans’ pocketbooks,” according to Heritage.
Heritage, working with the Coalition to Protect American Workers, will “host state and national officials at local businesses across the country in a series of events aimed at exposing how disastrous President Biden’s policies have been for the American worker.”
“The tour will also highlight the personal testimony of business owners, American workers, and grassroots leaders most impacted by President Biden’s failed economic agenda,” the press release announcing the tour said.
“Thanks to Bidenflation and the Administration’s continued attacks on our pocketbooks, Americans are losing purchasing power every month — blue state lockdowns and Congress’ disastrous spending plans have led to higher taxes and higher unemployment,” Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson said of the tour. “The Save Our Paychecks tour will shed light on the American workers and businesses who have been left behind by the Biden Administration.”
Erica Kious, the former owner of the now-shuttered San Francisco Salon where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) got her hair done despite coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, will kick off the event on August 10 in Fresno, California.
“After owning a very successful salon in San Francisco for over ten years, my dreams and hard work came to an abrupt end,” Kious said. “I was ultimately forced to shut down by extreme leftist politics due to the exposure of Nancy Pelosi’s hypocritical actions in my salon relative to the mask policies surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.”
“Americans need to know that the left is dedicated to destroying small business owners like me and hurting American workers—it’s time to save our paychecks.”
The Florida Politics website reported on the tour:
Scott has repeatedly hammered the Biden administration for big spending, noting the national debt as a major concern.
“President Biden’s silence on inflation is deafening, and his lack of leadership in the face of this serious threat is hurting people every day. Every increase in food, gas and household good prices, even increases of just a few cents, negatively impact families, especially low-income families and those on fixed incomes. For our nation’s poorest families, like mine growing up, rising prices are devastating — I know because I watched my parents struggle with inflation and putting food on the table when I was a kid,” Scott said, referencing his personal narrative in comments in May.
Scott, a former two-term Governor of Florida before getting elected to the Senate in 2018, expects people to come around to his way of thinking on these issues and for that mandate to become clear for Republicans in the midterms next year.
“It’s going to be a hell of a 2022,” Scott said during a call with reporters in June.

Analysis: Joe Biden ‘Set to Surge’ Illegal Alien Population Across U.S.
President Joe Biden is “set to surge” the number of illegal aliens living across the United States, new analysis provided to Breitbart News details.
The analysis, conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), projects that the nation’s illegal alien population will increase dramatically as a result of Biden’s mass migration agenda where border crossers are routinely being released into the U.S. interior, most illegal aliens are evading deportation, and there are no plans for a crackdown on visa overstays.
The illegal alien population “could exceed 20 million” if Biden “implements all of his preferred policies” by the end of 2024, the analysis estimates.
“… the illegal alien population is set to surge under the Biden administration,” FAIR’s analysis states.
As evidence, FAIR notes that even as former President Donald Trump implemented strict border controls, boosted deportations of illegal aliens, and closed a number of visa loopholes, the illegal alien population “grew considerably” from their estimate of 12.5 million at the start of 2017 to 14.5 million by the end of 2020.
“This can be attributed to a number of reasons, including a strong economy throughout most of [Trump’s] presidency,” the analysis states:
However, it can also be attributed to a failure to enforce some existing laws or implement important policies that would deter migrants from coming to the United States illegally, such as mandatory E-Verify or the prosecution of businesses that hire those who are not authorized to work in the United States. [Emphasis added]

Biden’s recent plans to slip an amnesty into a federal budget, drafted by Senate Democrats, would allow millions of illegal aliens would have “negative impacts on taxpayers,” the analysis states — one being that they would “immediately become eligible for federal welfare programs.”
“Previous reports by FAIR have revealed that illegal aliens earn far less on average than American citizens or lawfully present immigrants,” the analysis continues.
The flood of illegal immigration since Biden took office, the analysis states, is a direct result of Biden’s “promises of amnesty” in addition to his gutting of interior immigration enforcement and ending of most Trump-era border controls.
Analysis by Steven Kopits of Princeton Policy Advisors estimates that the Biden administration will drive nearly 1.7 million illegal aliens to the U.S.-Mexico border by the end of 2021 — making it the worst year for illegal immigration in American history.
For perspective, should nearly 1.7 million illegal aliens arrive at the border this year, this would be a foreign population three times the population of Wyoming.

Illegal aliens enrolled and eligible for former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are demanding amnesty with a path to obtaining American citizenship after a federal judge ruled the program unconstitutional.
Last week, Judge Andrew Hanen ruled that the Obama administration had illegally implemented the DACA program to shield hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from deportation. The program, Hanen ordered, must be effectively shut down to new, illegal alien applicants.
In response, DACA illegal aliens with the open borders group United We Dream — linked to billionaire George Soros — protested outside of the United States District Courthouse in Houston, Texas, on Monday to demand amnesty.
“It hurts deeply that my home state, the place I’ve grown up in and that I’ve grown to love, is the one leading the charge against me and my right to live and work,” Susie Lujano, a DACA illegal alien said during the protest according to Click 2 Houston.
“Last week’s decision by Judge Hanen to partially end DACA was cruel and vindictive,” Lujano continued.

Since Hanen’s ruling on DACA, open borders activists and key members of President Joe Biden’s administration have said Senate Democrats must use the case as an impetus to sneak an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens into a budget deal through the little-known filibuster-proof reconciliation process.
On Monday, Biden told the media it would be up to the Senate parliamentarian to decide whether or not an amnesty could be passed through reconciliation.
Should Democrats try to sneak an amnesty into a budget via reconciliation, it will be up to Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough to halt the plan on the grounds that the measure is not budget-related but actually alters federal immigration law. MacDonough previously stopped Democrats from increasing the federal minimum wage visa reconciliation.
A DACA amnesty would put more U.S.-born children of illegal aliens — commonly referred to as “anchor babies” — on federal welfare, as Breitbart News reported, while American taxpayers would potentially be left with a $26 billion bill.
Additionally, about one-in-five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one-in-seven would go on Medicaid.
At the southern border, a DACA amnesty has the potential to trigger a border surge that could triple the number of illegal aliens pouring through the border. Since DACA’s inception, more than 2,100 recipients of the program have been kicked off because they were found to be either criminals or gang members.
