Biden to Give Free Work Permits to Most of 70K Afghans Brought to U.S. Thus Far
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced plans to provide work permits to tens of thousands of Afghans brought to the United States, free of charge.
On Monday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that the agency will exempt Afghans brought to the U.S. via “humanitarian parole” from filing fees to “help facilitate their resettlement in the U.S. by streamlining the processing of requests for work authorization, green cards, and associated services.”
“By providing these evacuees with access to streamlined processing and fee exemptions, we will open doors of opportunity for our Afghan allies and help them begin to rebuild their lives in communities across our country more quickly,” Mayorkas said in a statement.
The policy move means that most of the roughly 70,000 Afghans, whom Biden has flown to the U.S. for resettlement across 46 states, will be able to apply for and secure work permits without paying the $500 filing fees that other foreign nationals typically must pay.
As Breitbart News has reported, multinational corporations in the airline industry, pharmaceutical industry, big banks, and tech conglomerates are working closely with the Biden administration to funnel Afghans into American jobs.
Facilitating much of the corporate partnership is a non-governmental organization (NGO) backed by former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama and former first ladies Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, and Michelle Obama.
As of November 1, about 10,000 of the 70,000 Afghans brought to the U.S. thus far have been resettled in American communities with no say from residents or local and state officials.
Refugee resettlement costs taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years. Over the course of a lifetime, taxpayers pay about $133,000 per refugee and within five years of resettlement, roughly 16 percent will need taxpayer-funded housing assistance.
Over the last 20 years, nearly a million refugees have been resettled in the nation — more than double the number of residents living in Miami, Florida, and it would be the equivalent of annually adding the population of Pensacola, Florida.

The Jihad on Mimicry
A group of young students in France are under severe threat by Muslims. An Oct. 14, 2021 report has the details:
Several Nantes high school students have been subjected to harassment and threats online for several days… It all started with a video shot in January in a private setting and which was not intended to be broadcast…. [T]he 17-second film made during a birthday party shows young people, then in third grade, laughing as they imitate Muslims praying. The images nonetheless ended up on Twitter and Instagram in early October, prompting a torrent of insults and death threats.
On being asked if the students were behaving maliciously, one source acquainted with the incident said it was “more of a very stupid game,” adding, “we can see that things are already going wrong.” Indeed, since then, the death threats to the students have reached the point that “police patrols had to be deployed around the high school frequented by the victims.”
The déjà vu nature of this otherwise unremarkable account is especially interesting. As documented in these two articles, in 2015, a group of Christian students in Egypt made a 30-second iPhone video mocking the Islamic State; they appear laughing and joking, as they pretend to be members of the Islamic State praying to Allah before they pretend to slit the throats of each other, an ISIS trademark.
Rather than doing what France’s Muslims are currently doing—threatening that nation’s young jokesters—Egypt’s Muslims went into full blown attack mode. One Christian shop owner recounted their wild reaction on learning about the video in 2015:
There were three or four marches in different places in the village, as our village is a very big village. They were chanting slogans against Christians and Christianity. They were chanting: “With our souls and blood, we will defend you, oh Islam! We will not leave you; we will take revenge for you!”
They were pelting Christian homes with stones, pounding threateningly on doors and windows, attacking shops owned by Coptic Christians. They destroyed the door of my shop and they destroyed a photo studio owned by the father of one of the boys.
For three days we were living in terror and panic. We stayed in our homes and our children didn’t go to their schools. We also couldn’t go to church to attend the masses for [Coptic] Holy Week.
Another local Copt described how his home was attacked:
On Thursday evening [4/9/2015], the Muslim demonstrators attacked our home. They pelted it with stones and insulted us. They were shouting, “Oh kafirs (infidels), we can’t let you live here. We will oust you from our village.” They also stole the windows from our home…. We were unable to go to the church during these events. Also, we didn’t go to the church on Saturday to attend the Easter mass. Until now, we have been staying at our homes and are afraid that the attacks against us will be renewed.
After the Muslim mob had had its fill, it was the Muslim authorities’ turn: at least four of the teenagers were arrested on the charge of “insulting Islam,” detained for 45 days and subjected to “ill-treatment,” according to one human rights group.
Then, in early 2016, three of these Christian teenagers were sentenced to five years imprisonment. The fourth defendant, 15, was handed a juvenile detention for an indefinite period. They “have been sentenced for contempt of Islam and inciting sectarian strife,” explained their defense lawyer, Maher Naguib: “The judge didn’t show any mercy. He handed down the maximum punishment.”
In other words, mocking the Islamic State—which we are regularly assured is an “extremist group” that has little to do with “true” Islam—is, according to Egypt’s judiciary (to say nothing of the people) tantamount to expressing “contempt of Islam,” and therefore deserving of punishment “without mercy.”
What can be learned from these two cases of non-Muslims miming Muslims—the one from Egypt the other from France?
First, any claims that those Muslims currently threatening students in France are “extremists” or “radicals,” or that they “do not represent Islam”—as we are often and forever told whenever a Muslim “misbehaves”—must be rejected out of hand: when the same exact thing happened in Egypt, Muslims everywhere rose in violence and the authorities themselves arrested, abused, and sentenced the “blasphemers” to prison.
That’s because if you want to know how Islam truly behaves, especially vis-à-vis the infidel, see how it behaves on its own turf, where it is in a position of power and authority, as opposed to where it is a minority faith (e.g., France). Nor is Egypt alone; most Muslim nations exhibit such wild reactions to and have severe laws against “blasphemy.” It seems to be a near weekly occurrence in Pakistan.
Here, then, is yet another example that the sort of behavior Westerners find extremely distasteful—threatening to kill children or teenagers because you find their private jests offensive—is 100 percent Islamic.

ISIS Threat in Northern Virginia
Afghan refugees?
Police Chief Kevin Davis of Fairfax County, Virginia, announced Friday that “we have increased our police presence throughout the county to include major thoroughfares, transit hubs, shopping plazas, and shopping malls.” This was reportedly in response to a terrorism threat; police sources said that their increased presence would last through Halloween weekend and possibly through election day on Tuesday.
ISIS, said CBS News, “has been more active since the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August. Officials say threats from the international terrorist group and al Qaeda are accelerating.” And according to the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence chief, John Cohen, “Right now we’re seeing a dramatic increase — or an increase — in online activity by media operations associated with different al Qaeda elements and Islamic State.”
Meanwhile, Jack Posobiec of Human Events tweeted late Friday evening: “Two US officials tell @HumanEvents that the ISIS threat alert in Northern VA / DC region is related to Afghan refugees.” He added that some Secret Service agents “are concerned DC-area ISIS threat may be related to a report of 3 Afghan refugees who forced their way off a bus earlier this month.”
There is nothing incredible about this. Defense One reported in late August that “security screeners at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar have detected that at least one of the Afghans who was evacuated from Kabul Airport has potential ties to ISIS, a U.S. official confirmed to Defense One.” How likely is it that he was the only one?
Business Insider reported on August 15 that “thousands of inmates, including former Islamic State and al-Qaeda fighters, were released from a prison on the outskirts of Kabul… Footage published by an independent Afghan news agency, which supports the Taliban, appears to show militants letting the inmates out.” What possible safeguards have been in place in Kabul to prevent some of those jihadis from coming to the United States as “refugees”? How likely is it that the strongest, most violent, and most ruthless among the Afghans were able to muscle their way onto the planes to America?
What’s more, witless and woke Biden administration authorities have no idea who many of these refugees are. Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) recently disclosed that 12,000 of the Afghans who are at this moment in the United States were brought here despite the fact that they had no identification at all: “They came with nothing. No Afghan I.D., no I.D. of any sort. Those people were all forwarded on to the U.S., and that’s quite an admission. So many people had no I.D. whatsoever and yet find themselves in the United States today based on what they said.”
Who could they be? Well, they could be any number of things, and one of them is that at least some of them could be members of ISIS.
Nor do authorities know where many of these refugees are. Reuters reported at the beginning of this month that at least 700 Afghan evacuees engaged in “independent departures” from the U.S. military bases where they were being housed. Over 300 have vanished from Fort Bliss alone. Are some of them in Northern Virginia now, plotting a jihad massacre?
Whether they are or not now, it is likely that some Afghan jihadis did enter the United States with the refugees and that we will be hearing from them sooner or later. One of Biden’s handlers has admitted that ten of the Afghan evacuees have already been detained as risks to national security. How many more have managed to navigate through the Biden administration’s shoddy vetting processes (this is a regime that doesn’t even acknowledge that Islamic jihad terrorism exists, much less knows how to spot warning signs of jihadist sympathies) and are now in the United States? We will find out sooner or later, and if not in Northern Virginia over the Halloween weekend, then sometime soon, somewhere in the United States.
Even worse: The Biden administration’s handling of the Afghan evacuees is just one of the ways in which it is proceeding with absolutely no concern for national security or for the safety and well-being of the American people. The consequences will eventually be catastrophic, not for the cosseted elites who have brought this upon us, but for the ordinary Americans who, as always, have to bear the burden of their America-last policies.

Republicans Press Biden To Abandon Nuclear Talks After Iran Strikes US Military Outpost
Coalition of GOP leaders say Biden admin's singular focus on nuke deal endangers American troops
Republicans in Congress are renewing pressure on the Biden administration to abandon its diplomacy with Iran following Tehran's recent drone strike on a U.S. military outpost in Syria, according to a letter sent Thursday to the White House.
Seventeen Republican members of Congress, led by Rep. Bryan Steil (Wis.), accused the Biden administration of ignoring Iran's increasingly aggressive attacks on the United States and its allies in the Middle East to secure a revamped version of the 2015 nuclear accord. As negotiations between Iran and U.S. diplomats stall amid Tehran's demands for full-scale relief from economic sanctions, the Islamic Republic has stepped up its regional terrorist enterprise.
"During a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, it sends a dangerous message to our friends and adversaries that we continue to lift sanctions and negotiate with the largest state sponsor of terrorism as they attack us," the lawmakers wrote in the letter, which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. "This attack is yet another reminder that your administration is setting the wrong priorities by working to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal. If Iran is willing to engage in this kind of behavior while negotiations are still ongoing, imagine the respect they will have for any agreement once the ink is dry."
U.S. military officials say Iran was behind a "complex, coordinated and deliberate attack" late last month on an American military outpost in Syria, where U.S. troops are stationed. Several drones carrying explosives struck the military site, though no casualties were reported. Iran has been behind a string of drone strikes on American, Israeli, and other allied positions in the region.
The Biden administration did not publicly respond to the strike or announce any operations aimed at countering Iranian aggression. The administration's decision to avoid agitating Iran in the wake of the strike has prompted accusations that the United States is looking the other way as it scrambles to ink a nuclear deal with Tehran. As Biden's diplomats promise to waive crippling economic sanctions on the country—including those that target Iran's support for terrorist proxy groups—Republicans are increasingly concerned the Islamic Republic will become more emboldened.
In addition to Steil, the letter was signed by Republican representatives Dan Crenshaw (Texas), Randy Weber (Texas), Brian Babin (Texas), Doug Lamborn (Colo.), Tracey Mann (Kan.), and Vicky Hartzler (Mo.), among others.
The drone strike came just weeks before Iran sent several drones toward a U.S. naval vessel that was operating in the Persian Gulf. Iran says it prevented the United States from interfering in its seizure of an oil tanker.
"We have continued to watch Iran attack U.S. troops and our allies in the Middle East, while increasing its nuclear activities," the lawmakers wrote. "These threats are ongoing, and your administration continues to weaken our ability to combat the Iranian regime by lifting U.S. sanctions."
Steil, speaking to the Free Beacon about the letter, said the Biden administration's singular focus on its diplomacy with Iran sets "the wrong priorities" for America.
"This administration is weakening our ability to combat the regime, and is increasing already heightened tensions in the Middle East," Steil said. "We must hold Iran accountable, and ensure we are protecting Americans, our troops, and civilians in the region."

What happened to Donald Trump in 2016 and beyond dwarfed Watergate. Most of the media not only didn't care about the corruption of the Democrats, but they were also major participants in seeking to destroy a candidate, and later, president, they didn't like.
Special Counsel John Durham has started to hit paydirt with three arrests so far, the tip of the iceberg, and the story is essentially buried because the media doesn't care, and they don't want the public to know the truth. If the public learns the truth, they will see how dishonest, corrupt, and dangerous the media is. They will set out to destroy anyone they don't want in elective office. The truth and evidence are never necessary when they are campaigning for Democrats.
The basic story of the 2016 election is that the corrupt, criminal, unlikable Hillary and the DNC couldn't run on their record or unpopular leftist Democrat policies, so they needed to destroy Trump. They clearly couldn't dig up enough truthful dirt, so they set out to create pure fiction. They paid a foreign national, a Trump hater, over $10 million to create a dossier full of pure lies. Then these lies were spread throughout the media and throughout the corrupt Obama-Biden administration to destroy Trump and his associates. The lies were obvious, yet no one cared. All they cared about was electing and protecting Hillary.
Dishonest people working at the FBI used these fictitious documents in lies to the FISA court as they set out to spy on and entrap anyone associated with Trump.
These same agents protected the career criminal Hillary from prosecution no matter how many laws she violated and how many pieces of information she destroyed to obstruct justice. The media didn't care.
For years, the Democrats, including Reps. Schiff and Nadler set out to destroy Trump with endless investigations based on fictitious documents. The media participated in targeting Trump with no evidence. They needed to destroy him because they didn't like his policies.
Schiff, Swalwell, Clapper, Brennan and others went on compliant media outlets to spread lies about Trump being a Russia agent.
The corruption and dishonesty of the media has been clear for decades. Here are some things they haven't cared about or have lied about as they campaigned for Democrats and set out to destroy their political opponents.
Didn’t care about how many women the Clintons physically and mentally abused. People who we are told respect women called them bimbos and trailer trash. The women were disposable as the media, entertainers, and other Democrats campaigned for Bill.
Didn’t care about Bill committing perjury and causing a young subordinate to commit perjury and obstruct justice. Monica was disposable.
Didn’t care how many trips Bill took with known pedophile Epstein. The young girls were disposable if the Clintons wanted power. How many women and young girls were sexually abused by powerful men because so many were campaigning for the Clintons?
Didn’t vet Obama, or care that he associated with radical leftists such as Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers. They also didn’t care about Biden’s record as they sought to destroy McCain and Palin. All that mattered was electing Obama.
Didn’t care about all the lies used to pass Obamacare, nor did they care that Pelosi wouldn’t let members of Congress, the media or the public see it before it was voted on. All the media cared about was the agenda.
Didn’t care about separation of powers when Obama illegally bypassed Congress to pay for shortfalls in Obamacare.
Didn’t care when Obama and Holder obstructed justice for years on Fast and Furious.
Didn’t care when Holder or others in the Obama committed perjury before Congress. They were above the law.
Didn’t care when the corrupt, politicized IRS illegally targeted political opponents of Obama, destroyed computers and documents and lied to Congress. The politicized, corrupt Justice Department decided that the swamp creatures at IRS were above the law. Political opponents of Obama and constitutional rights were disposable.
Didn’t care when the corrupt Justice Department, EPA, and CFPB shook down corporations and set up slush funds to give kickbacks to Obama supporters. Laws and ethics were disposable.
Didn’t care when Obama and Hillary didn’t lift a finger to help people under attack by terrorists in Benghazi. Instead, they concocted a lie about a video causing the attack because the truth might have jeopardized their power in the coming election. They even sent Susan Rice out to five networks to intentionally lie. Now this known liar is high up in the Biden administration.
Didn’t care that people continually lied through the media to get the Iran deal done. Ben Rhoades bragged about how gullible and helpful the media was in perpetuating the lies.

Don’t care how many people were killed by drugs and terrorism because Obama cared more about his legacy. The Americans who died were disposable.
Don’t care that the corrupt, politicized, Justice Department was so busy campaigning for Hillary and seeking to destroy Trump that they didn’t care how many laws Hillary and her aides broke, didn’t care how many computers and documents they destroyed, didn’t care how much they obstructed justice, and didn’t care how much they lied. Don’t care that Comey, McCabe, Schiff, Brennan, Clapper and others intentionally lied about Trump and Russia for years. They still trot them out when they want to trash Trump.
Willingly participated in spreading the “Hands up Don’t Shoot” lie after Ferguson to gin up racial hate against white cops. They don’t care how many cops were injured or killed by these intentional lies. The cops were disposable.
Participated in the intentional lies as they sought to destroy white Christian boys for the crime of wearing MAGA hats. The young boys were disposable.
Participated as they sought to destroy Judge Kavanaugh with no evidence. It is astonishing and deplorable how many people the media is willing to destroy to push the leftist agenda.
Never cared about the Biden family corruption. Even buried the truthful story about the Hunter Biden laptop to protect Biden before the election. They still don’t care about all the kickbacks to the Biden’s no matter how much evidence there is.
Instead of caring about the Biden family corruption, the media and other Democrats sought to destroy and impeach Trump for wanting to investigate the corruption -- which should be his job.
Don’t care about sanctuary cities and states and the Biden administration refusing to enforce immigration laws they swore to uphold.
Don’t care about how much Fauci, WHO and others have lied or got wrong or about the Wuhan lab and gain of function research. The children’s financial, physical, and mental health were disposable as schools were unnecessarily closed.
Don’t care about natural immunity as they are willing to fire anyone who dares disagree with the dictatorial mandates to get shots. Those people who get fired are disposable.
Don’t care about how well Florida is doing compared to the rest of the country without mask or vaccine mandates.
Don’t care about all the states where election laws were intentionally violated in the 2020 election. Instead, they pretend that there is nothing to question. They had no concerns when the 2016 election was challenged, and Trump was called an illegitimate President for four years. Instead, they participated in the big lie. They don’t care about voter integrity as they claim requiring a photo ID to vote is racist.
They participate in continuing to call an unarmed protest on January 6 an armed insurrection to intentionally mislead the public.
They don’t care about the only person killed by a weapon on January 6. An unarmed veteran woman shot by a Capitol cop. Ashli Babbitt was disposable.
They not only don’t care that CRT is taught throughout the U.S. They lie about it as they regurgitate the terms, white supremacy, white privilege, and systemic racism to gin up racial hate and division. They do this while they pretend that they are for unifying the country.
They have never cared about evidence to support the radical climate change agenda to destroy America. They don’t care that all the dire predictions have been 100% wrong for decades. All they care about is the agenda.
And they certainly don’t care what is in all the slush funds the Democrats are seeking to pass and how they are paid for. They don’t care that Pelosi is trying to get them passed before they are read and before they are scored by the CBO. They campaign for these bills, sight unseen, because facts don’t matter and haven’t for a long time.
I am sure others can think of many other things that the media doesn’t care about.
What should we call the press who cares more about who they elect and an agenda than the truth? What should we call people who are willing to destroy anyone who gets in the way of the left’s quest for power? Wouldn’t enemies of the people be an appropriate term? Calling these people progressive is certainly mislabeling.

Biden’s Fort Hood Back Story

“We Have Won!!! All-Praises be to All-Mighty Allah!” came the cry as the American forces departed Afghanistan in disgrace.
Was this a Taliban commander at the controls of an American Apache helicopter? Or perhaps a Taliban fighter brandishing the latest American assault rifle? No, it was Leavenworth inmate Nidal Hasan, a former major in the U.S. Army who called himself a “soldier of Allah.”
In 2009, Hasan was communicating with al Qaeda terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki about killing American soldiers, then shipping out for Afghanistan. The FBI knew all about it but did nothing to stop Hasan. On November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas, Hasan gunned down 13 unarmed American soldiers and wounded more than 30 others.
For the composite character president David Garrow described in Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama, it was not terrorism but “workplace violence,” not even a punishable offence in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The composite character, formerly known as Barry Soetoro, failed to name a single victim and on subsequent anniversaries held no special ceremony to honor the victims’ families.
Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013, but the sentence was not carried out. In 2014, the president declined to meet with Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford, who took seven bullets from the soldier of Allah. If the president ever visited any victims’ families, nothing has come to light.
After the 2009 attack, vice president Joe Biden said, “Jill and I join the President and Michelle in expressing our sympathies to the families of the brave soldiers who fell today. We are all praying for those who were wounded and hoping for their full and speedy recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the entire Fort Hood community as they deal with this senseless tragedy.”
Joe Biden failed to name a single victim or explain how they “fell.” For the Delaware Democrat, it was just a senseless tragedy, not an Islamic terrorist attack, an atrocity, or even a crime. Hasan’s mass murder of Americans, in solidarity with the Taliban, failed to prompt any investigation into how many other “soldiers of Allah” might remain in the ranks.
As Lessons from Fort Hood confirms, the Washington office of the FBI called off surveillance of Hasan. It remains unclear whether anyone in the FBI was disciplined, demoted or dismissed over a failure that claimed 13 lives. This invites a comparison with Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Biden’s military shared intelligence with the Taliban, and gave them a list of Americans still trapped in Afghanistan. Biden also hired the Taliban for security at the airport, which facilitated the terrorist bomb that claimed 13 American lives.
In his delayed response to the atrocity, Joe Biden mumbled something about his late son Beau but mentioned not a single American victim by name. As with Fort Hood, Biden held no special event at the White House and showed little if any concern for the victims’ families. On the other hand, Biden did ramp up one of the composite character’s worst policies: targeting his domestic opposition as the primary threat to the United States.
For example, in 2009 DHS boss Janet Napolitano released Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment. This document warned of “white supremacist” types that reject federal authority. This was code for anyone less than worshipful of the composite character, particularly those who value their constitutional rights. In 2021, such embattled Americans mighty consider the Biden Junta’s Interim National Security Strategic Guidance (INSSG) report, a replacement for the Trump strategy.
As a serving U.S. military officer and Iraq veteran notes, the Biden INSSG gives priority not to external enemies but challenges from within, including “inequality” as the primary threat. “Domestic violent extremism” gets a workout and “economic” concerns are mentioned 34 times. That marks a contrast to 15 times for China, and five for Russia, both nuclear-armed adversaries of the United States.
The Biden INSSG mentions “diversity” seven times, and “climate” a full 27 times. Observing the Col. Scheller case, and the DOJ jihad against parents, the officer concludes “we have an administration that believes the greatest threats are those citizens who disagree with the administration’s agenda.”
As with Communist China, Biden appears to believe the Taliban are “not bad folks,” and worthy of partnership. One of their early allies was Nidal Hasan, who gunned down 13 unarmed Americans, including Pvt. Francheska Velez, who was pregnant and died crying “my baby!” For the composite character it was workplace violence and for Joe Biden the Americans only “fell” in a “senseless tragedy.”
Twelve years later, Hasan claims “we have won!” That tells other soldiers of Allah in the ranks that, under the Biden Junta they can murder American soldiers with impunity, keep their own life, and live on for the terrorist cause.
Soldiers Forced To Bunk Outdoors While Afghan Refugees Slept in Their Barracks
Afghans first, Americans last.

In 2019, members of the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry returned home from Afghanistan. In early October, the 127th left Appleton, Wisconsin and traveled to Fort McCoy for training.
Unfortunately, Fort McCoy was already occupied by an estimated 13,000 Afghan “refugees”.
According to Rep. Tom Tiffany, who has paid several visits to Fort McCoy, the base only has the capacity to house 10,000 people, and is struggling to cope with the overflow in tents. When they first arrived some 600 Afghans had been quarantined with a variety of infectious conditions.
Fort McCoy, located in rural Wisconsin between the small cities of Sparta and Tomah, started out as an artillery range and its barracks were intended to house military personnel arriving for training exercises, not huge numbers of foreign migrants. The barracks, which were built during World War II, are in poor condition and a new construction project only recently got underway.
Even while hosting the largest population of Afghan migrants in the country, Fort McCoy struggled to maintain its training role. Over 100,000 troops had trained there during the fiscal year with personnel from all of the services participating in everything from cold weather operations (it gets pretty cold in that part of the country) and various exercises.
When the 127th arrived, the barracks they were meant to sleep in had already been taken. With Afghans sleeping in their barracks and their beds, they reportedly had to sleep outside instead.
“The summers are warm and wet; the winters are freezing, snowy, and windy,” is how the local weather has been described. In October the weather had begun its slow descent from warm and wet to freezing, but it was not the Afghans who were expected to deal with the weather.
According to a Department of Defense spokesperson, “The 2-127 Infantry Battalion was offered access to the hard structures in the field, as the barracks on post are currently occupied by our Afghan guests.” The spokesperson also insisted that, “There were no unexpected weather events during the training and no impact to the Fort McCoy mission or training for the service members.” And yet according to some the impact on morale has been quite serious.
The displacement of American soldiers to make way for Afghan migrants was symbolic of events in Washington D.C. and at Fort McCoy where refugee meals closely follow Islamic Sharia and liquor was removed from the shelves of the PX so as not to offend the Afghans.
The men of the “Red Arrow” are used to challenges. With a history that includes the Iron Brigade of the Civil War and the Les Terribles in WWI, and as members of the Wisconsin National Guard, they’re not afraid of weather. But the displacement drove home to them where the priorities of the military brass lie, not with the soldiers who served in Afghanistan, but the Afghans whom the Taliban waved past their terrorist checkpoints in Kabul and on to America.
Some no longer recognize Fort McCoy, divided into Afghan “neighborhoods” where the hated Shuras (an Islamic form of tribal governance) have been reconvened and are dictating to base personnel the way that they did during the failed “hearts and minds” efforts in Afghanistan.
The national media, which had little interest in Fort McCoy when it was filled with American heroes training to save lives and win wars, has swarmed over the place. The Today Show, among many others, has filmed canned propaganda segments touting carefully selected Afghan refugees, usually young, western, and female, who locals say are unrepresentative of the thousands of covered and frightened young women, many of them pregnant, in the barracks.
Sources say that reporters are asked to leave their cars behind in the visitor lot and then bused over to selected locations. Camera interviews are usually conducted at the main gate to avoid anything problematic in the background.
What are they worried about?
Since the Afghans swarmed into Fort McCoy, two Afghan refugees are federal facing charges, one for "attempting to engage in a sexual act with a minor" and another for "assaulting his spouse by strangling and suffocating her". But that may only be the tip of a very large iceberg.
A leaked State Department document contained multiple reports of "child brides" and polygamous marriages at Fort McCoy. Wisconsin Democrats however tried to shut down reports by whistleblowers about the abuse of young girls happening right on our military bases.
"There are no cases in Fort McCoy right now with child, 15-or- under, who is married," Sen. Tammy Baldwin contended in a very precisely worded denial leaving open the question of whether such cases had existed in the past or whether the children weren’t technically married.
Locals in nearby Sparta whose medical resources have been drafted into the Afghan refugee crisis however describe large numbers of pregnant women, some looking very young and a threatening atmosphere where calls to emergency services in the small city are a constant.
The media plays up stories of impoverished refugees, but sources say that the Fort McCoy Post Exchange keeps running out of smaller bills because the Afghan refugees have plenty of hundred dollar bills to spend. Not to mention credit cards and cell phones.
While locals have generously donated their own clothing, the Islamic Society of Milwaukee has been conducting its own clothing drive focused on hijabs and "traditional" and "modest clothing" for the women. The infidel clothes apparently weren’t sufficiently compliant with Sharia law.
Despite media disinformation, few if any of the Afghans were “interpreters”, many did not even speak English, and the vast majority had not received visas to come to the United States, When the Biden administration surrendered Kabul to the Taliban, it allowed the terrorist group to man the checkpoints and pick which Afghans (and Americans) were allowed to make it to the airport.
The Afghans who had legitimate visas based on their time working for the United States were not allowed through. Some may have been abducted and killed after the Biden administration turned over lists of visa recipients to the Taliban. Only 1,800 SIV visa holders made it here. Another 50,000 were Afghans who had no legal right to be here and once in this country began committing crimes and disappearing from the bases that were hosting them.
Many in Sparta are worried about what this influx of Afghan migrants means for them.
When Cuban refugees were housed at Fort McCoy, some stayed on in the area. Locals are concerned that history may repeat itself with the large number of Afghans. Even if only a few hundred are left behind, they could significantly change the character of the area.
To some locals, the sight of Americans being displaced by Afghans may be their future.

Shamima Begum's jihadi husband has refused to condemn ISIS beheadings or the use of sex slaves and said he still hopes to see a caliphate established.
Speaking in an interview from Kurdish-run al-Roj prison in northern Syria, Yago Riedijk, 29, described the couple's 'beautiful' former life under the extremist group.
He said ISIS-claimed attacks on the West were not 'Islamicly responsible' because they involved killing innocent people which is 'prohibited in Islam' but refused to condemn the group's violence against Yazidis, who were sold as sex slaves, and other Muslims.
Riedijk also stayed silent on ISIS beheadings, saying only 'I can't really comment' when pushed to condemn the extremist group's brutal punishments.
The 29-year-old later said he did not believe ISIS was finished and said he still hoped to see a caliphate which adheres to 'Islamic traditions' established.
He smiled as he spoke about married life with Begum in the caliphate and described 'beautiful memories' of baking cakes as a family.
The Dutch extremist married Begum days after she arrived in Syria from East London, aged 15, in 2015 and the couple had three children together, all of whom have died.
Begum is being held in Kurdish-run refugee camp al-Roj in northern Syrian amid an ongoing battle to return to the UK after she was stripped of her citizenship in February 2019.
Riedijk is being held in al-Roj detention centre. He was convicted in a Netherlands court in 2018 for joining the extremist group and will face a six-year jail term if he ever tries to return to Europe.

Speaking to Alan Duncan, a former Scots soldier who is making a documentary on ISIS, Riedijk said he did not agree with ISIS-claimed terror attacks on Germany, France and the UK because they involved killing 'innocent people'.
'Personally, I don't agree with these attacks for a couple of reasons. The prohibition of killing innocent people in Islam, women and children.
'I see these attacks as not being Islamicly responsible [sic],' he said.
However, questioned about attacks on other Muslims and Yazidis - who were sold to ISIS fighters as sex slaves - Riedijk shook his head and said 'no comment'.
More than 2,800 Yazidi women and children are still missing and are thought to be being held by ISIS.
Riedijk also revealed he discussed marriage directly with Begum when she arrived in Syria in 2015 and agreed on conditions before they tied the knot.
'It was not really anything big. Small things like going out shopping - stuff like this. She asked for some freedoms which I agreed to give her. Going shopping, seeing friends. Basic stuff,' he said.
He said Begum asked for a dowry of an English translation of the Quran, which he agreed to.
He smiled on camera as he recalled the family baking cakes to make money while Begum was pregnant with their second son Jalah.
'There were some nice days with my wife and kids at home. Some beautiful memories,' he said.
Riedijk has said he wants to reunite with Begum and 'start a family again'. Last year he urged Begum to 'do whatever you can to build a future for us' as she fought against the Home Office decision to strip her of her British citizenship.

Riedijk said he found it hard to take that Begum had two miscarriages, before giving birth to their three children. Talking about the first miscarriage, he said: 'It was difficult to take. I'm a family man, I love family, I love children.'
He added Begum got pregnant immediate after the first miscarriage but lost the baby for the second time.
The 29-year-old added that while living in the caliphate he contacted his family back home more often than Begum spoke to hers, but declined to elaborate.
Riedijk also refused to comment much on how Begum viewed ISIS's beheadings and punishments. But he described seeing corpses left on the street as an example as 'not a pleasant picture', but refused to condemn the act as wrong.
'I can't really comment', he said.
He went on to describe death as part of daily life, blaming coalition bombing for the killing of innocent Muslims.
Asked if ISIS was finished, Riedijk said 'no', later adding when questioned that he would like to see a caliphate which adheres to 'Islamic traditions' established.
Begum was one of three schoolgirls from Bethnal Green Academy who went to join ISIS, shortly after Sharmeena Begum, who is no relation, travelled to Syria in December 2014.
Kadiza Sultana and Amira Abase, then 16 and 15 respectively, joined Begum on a flight from London to Istanbul before making their way to Syria.

Aged 19 and heavily pregnant, Begum resurfaced at a Syrian refugee camp in early 2019 and said she wanted to return to Britain.
In an extraordinary interview she admitted she did not regret going to join ISIS, saying the experience had made her 'stronger and tougher'.
She acknowledged she knew the group was carrying out beheadings and executions before she left, adding that she was 'OK with it at first'.
'I had my kids, I did have a good time there. It's just that then things got harder and I couldn't take it any more and I had to leave,' she said.
She also revealed she had left Raqqa in January 2017 with her husband, but her children, a one-year-old girl and a three-month-old boy, had both since died.
The baby boy she was carrying later died in a camp in northern Syria, with reports suggesting he had suffered from breathing difficulties.

Begum's case became a major political controversy in Britain, resulting in then-home secretary Sajid Javid revoking her British citizenship on national security grounds in February 2019.
She challenged the government's decision, and in 2020, the Court of Appeal ruled that 'the only way in which she can have a fair and effective appeal is to be permitted to come into the United Kingdom to pursue her appeal'.
The supreme court later overturned the ruling and said Begum could not return to the UK to contest the case.
In September, a dolled-up Begum appeared on Good Morning Britain and begged the UK public for forgiveness and to be allowed to return.
She also made a surprising direct offer to help Boris Johnson's government tackle extremism and terrorism.
