There’s an unspoken reason that Blacks are attacking Asian people
Woom Sing Tse arrived in America from communist China almost 50 years ago with $100 to his name and worked his way up to owning a successful restaurant. On Wednesday, a 23-year-old Black career criminal executed him on Chicago’s streets. Maybe a rival paid for this hit or maybe this was yet another example of the Black community’s incredible hostility to Asians.
The core story is awful:
A Chicago man who loved ones said was the “epitome” of the American dream was shot dead while walking to buy a newspaper a block from his home Tuesday.
Woom Sing Tse, 71, had just finished eating lunch with his wife at their Chinatown home, when he was executed by a man who pulled up in a silver car as he walked to his local store, according to WGN.
Surveillance video obtained by the station showed the gunman opening fire from inside the car. The driver then got out of the car to fire another shot at Tse as he laid on the ground, the footage showed.
The suspect, identified as Alphonso Joyner, 23, was later arrested, and charged with first-degree murder, CBS Chicago reported.
Joyner had previously been arrested four times, including two gun charges, one of which he had pleaded guilty to, the station said. No motive for the ghastly attack was reported.
(At the same link, you can see a video, slightly redacted, showing Joyner gunning Mr. Tse down. I chose not to include it here because it’s sad and adds nothing to this post.)
This is not the first Black-on-Asian attack to show up in the news. We read regularly about Blacks attacking Asians, whether it’s stories about beating them up, stabbing them, or shooting them. Back in August, the FBI reported that hate crimes against Asians had risen by 70% over the past year. The report does not mention that it’s mostly Blacks who are committing these crimes.
At the most primitive level, the anti-Asian crimes increased because ill-educated people, when hearing that the Wuhan flu originated in communist China, decided to make their displeasure known by attacking people who had escaped from communist China. This simplistic thinking is common in marginalized communities—and marginalized often means Black.

At a secondary level, Blacks have for decades competed with Asians for resources in poor neighborhoods. In San Francisco, as Asians poured in from the 1960s through the 1980s, they moved into the Tenderloin and Bayview Districts, both of which had long been Black redoubts. Just as happened when Puerto Ricans started moving into historically Black districts, there was an uptick in Black violence against the interlopers, who were squeezing them out of rental property and entry-level jobs.
Both of those are acknowledged reasons for Black on Asian violence. But there’s another reason that few people like to talk about: Asians go from ghetto to suburbs in one generation and, often, from suburbs to chi-chi upper-class communities in just one or two generations. If you think about the fact that Asians came to America broke, speaking no English, and often facing substantial prejudice, their success puts the lie to Black claims that there’s no way Blacks can achieve success in a country as racist as America.
California, for example, a state with a huge Asian population, long had the Asian equivalent of Jim Crow laws. This article lists law after law, riot after riot, and court decision after court decision, all aimed at ridding California of what was then called the “Yellow Peril.” Democrats imprisoned thousands of them during WWII. Even in 1967, Hollywood produced a comic movie, Thoroughly Modern Millie, that showed Asians engaged in sex trafficking. In many ways, Asians experienced every bit as much discrimination as Blacks.
Additionally, Asians, unlike Blacks with deep roots in America, but like Mr. Tse, arrived here relatively recently, broke, and unable to speak English. In that regard, one might say that Blacks have been better positioned for success.
The real difference between the two groups is simple: Education. Asians revere it. When I attended San Francisco's Lowell High School that requires an exam to enter, Asian students whom we called “FOBs,” or “fresh off the boats,” within a year or two were pulling higher grades than any native-born California kids. Just look at this chart at the left-wing Brookings website showing the homework difference between the races.
Meanwhile, as John McWhorter detailed in his superb Losing the Race: Self-Sabotage in Black America, educational attainments are too often denigrated in Black America as something that is “White.” Although McWhorter first wrote the book some years ago, nothing has changed.

Video shows stranger attacking Asian woman with hammer in NYC

An Asian woman in New York City was attacked in the head with a hammer by a stranger who demanded the victim remove her mask, police said Monday.
The New York Police Department's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the assault. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.
The attack occurred about 8:40 p.m. ET Sunday in the 410 block of West 42nd Street, which is in Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan, police said.
Police released surveillance video that showed the moment a woman appeared to accost two Asian women walking on the sidewalk from behind. The woman demanded that they remove their masks before striking one of them in the head with a hammer, police said.
The victim was identified as a 31-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital for a laceration to the head, according to authorities. The other Asian woman, 29, did not appear to suffer any physical injuries.
The 31-year-old woman told NBC New York that she was "shocked," adding that she has lived in New York City for two years.
"I've never faced this kind of thing," she said. "This has never happened in my life."
After the attack, the woman with the hammer ran, police said. Authorities are still on the search for her.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo condemned the latest attack.
"I am disgusted by this violent attack in Midtown Manhattan, the latest seemingly senseless and despicable hate crime against Asian Americans in this state," Cuomo said in a statement on Tuesday. "We will do everything in our power to protect those who are vulnerable to these attacks and to hold cowardly perpetrators accountable to the full extent of the law."
Hours before the attack, hundreds of New Yorkers, including city officials, gathered at a rally in Flushing, Queens, denouncing the wave of hate crimes against Asian American communities.
“If you hate, get the hell out of here because you don’t deserve to live in New York City,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said at Sunday's rally.
The "Stop Asian Hate" march was held a day after two other Asian Americans were targeted in separate attacks in Queens and Brooklyn, police said.
On Saturday afternoon, a group of five teens punched a 15-year-old Asian boy while spewing anti-Asian remarks at him in Rego Park, Queens, according to authorities. The boy was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Three of the suspects were taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor assault and harassment, police said. Investigators are still looking for two other suspects.
Shortly after the Queens attack, a stranger pushed a 52-year-old Asian woman towards the subway track at the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway Station in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, police said. No injuries or arrests were reported.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating both incidents.
The hammer attack occurred just a block from where a man repeatedly kicked a 65-year-old Asian woman outside a luxury apartment building as witnesses appeared to watch in late March.
Authorities arrested the suspect who was already on lifetime parole for fatally stabbing his mother in 2002. The two apartment building doormen who were caught on video appearing to watch the attack unfold were fired, the building's owner said.
Last week, a new analysis of hate crime data revealed that the increase in anti-Asian attacks has remained consistent.
The analysis, released by the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino, found that hate crimes surged 169 percent from the first quarter of 2021 to the same time period in 2020 across 15 major cities.
New York City accounted for the largest surge from 13 hate crimes in the first quarter of 2020 to 42 in the same period this year — a 223 percent jump, according to the research.

Racist gang attack on Philadelphia train targeting Asians demonstrates effect of race hustlers on the minds of black youth

Last week, a video of a violent racist attack on a group of Asian-American students on a public train in Philadelphia was widely circulated on social media. The perpetrators were four African-American girls, one of whom was wearing a hijab.
It began with four perpetrators hurling racist abuse and intimidating and physically assaulting a group of Asian-American high school students who were sitting in close proximity. The Asian-American victims helplessly attempted to shield themselves from the violence.
In time, a senior Asian-American girl student attempted to intervene and bring a stop to the assault. This lead to her being the target of violence and abuse from the four African-American girls.
The Asian-American girl student was struck on her head multiple times and was slammed against the train doors. The assailant group kicked and punched her as she laid flat on the ground of the train compartment. One of the assailants even took off her shoe and used it to strike the victim multiple times.
A man eventually intervened before the video is halted.
The SEPTA Police Chief said the four suspects ranged from 13 to 16 years of age. He said that his organization was working with other city and school leaders to offer support for the victims. SEPTA pledged to provide police protection for students in the future.
The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office then approved charges of aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, and other related offenses against four African-American girls.
One suspect has been charged with an additional count of robbery for attempting to steal one of the victims’ air pods.
The question remains what caused the inconsolable rage in the minds of these teenaged African-American girls?
Perhaps it is the divisive climate that has been created owing to the relentless race-baiting by Democrat politicians, activists, and members of the mainstream news media?
Perhaps the frequent and dishonest claim that there is systemic racism all around?
Perhaps the claim that Kyle Rittenhouse is a white nationalist led by then-candidate Joe Biden and the proclamation with certitude that White Privilege and Nationalism was omnipresent following the acquittal of Rittenhouse?
Perhaps White House reacting to Rittenhouse’s acquittal with the implication that it was unfair?
Perhaps the claim that Kamala Harris’s low approval ratings are solely owing to sexism and racism?
Perhaps the fact that former President Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama only claim victimhood instead of being cheerleaders for the black community?
Perhaps the fact that African American multi-billionaire Oprah cannot stop talking about race while interviewing mixed-race multi-millionaire Meghan Markle?
Perhaps the amplification of fake claims of a black gay actor that he suffered a racist attack from Trump supporters in Chicago?
Perhaps the frequent amplification of the irresponsible and reckless actions of a few police officers that lead to the deaths of African Americans and the spin that all persons of color are targets of the police?
Race relations have emphatically improved, the proof is a person of color was elected to the highest office of the nation on two occasions.
However, it will take a great deal of time and collective effort to achieve MLK's dream of a society that sees people for the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
MLK's dream can only be achieved by permanently alerting the mindset of seeing everything through the prism of race. Overstated claims and frequent spin about racism only make matters worst
Sadly, many individuals masquerading as pundits have made race-baiting their business model. They make preposterous claims and write articles about the worsening of race relations to enrich themselves.
For some 'experts', race relations is their domain expertise, if they concede that race relations are improved, they run the risk of becoming obsolete.
The same is true for a group such as BLM, who will never ever concede that there is even the slightest of improvement in the lives of African Americans because their very existence is based on promoting victimhood.
Any incident of when an African American is persecuted is an occasion for raising money. The money is used to further perpetuate myths about victimhood which leaders to more donations. The cycle of hate continues.
The people making the outrageous and overstated claims are like actors, they have a prepared script given to them by activists, perhaps they use their own imagination.
They know their claims are false but they say it anyway. They spit venom on TV and elsewhere and then return in the comfort of the luxury homes in gated communities with armed bodyguards.
But the effects of the poison spread in the minds of innocent and impressionable young African-Americans can never be undone.
For the performers on TV, this may just be the clever usage of epithets and some amateur but for the audience, it could be the trigger that causes a permanent impression.
Nothing that follows can ever change those first impressions. They grow up with the feeling of victimhood that causes anger to simmer from within. One day it explodes rather unexpectedly following a seemingly innocuous trigger such as the mere presence of persons of another race.
The racist violence that was seen on the SEPTA train is an instance of that? But it could have been worse, what if any one of them was armed?
Sadly, the attack on the SEPTA train will be followed by many other racist attacks. The rage that has been created simply cannot melt into thin air.
The race hustlers hence have blood on their hands.
Alas, few will dare to call them out.

The NYPD needs help in identifying a suspect who allegedly assaulted an Asian man inside a Queens subway station last month.
What happened: The unidentified man approached the 22-year-old victim while inside the Queens Plaza subway station at around 1:30 p.m. on April 18, according to amNY.

The suspect allegedly punched the man in the back and chest before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect was seen wearing a white Adidas hoodie.

Police said the victim refused medical attention even though he was hurt in the attack, Patch reported.

Rising crime rate in NYC: Police data compiled by the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at CSUSB revealed that New York City is the most populous city in the U.S. with the highest recorded bias crimes against Asian Americans in the first quarter of 2021.

The city experienced a 223% increase from the same period in 2020 which had 13 reported hate crimes.

The recent incident follows days after a Filipina woman was subjected to racism at a boutique in Forest Hills, Queens.
