Joe Biden and the Ides of August
William Shakespeare, in his play Julius Caesar, wrote of a soothsayer warning Caesar of his impending demise during the Ides of March. But when it comes to his political demise fueled by catastrophic decisions, Joe Biden, as president, faces the Ides of August.
On the 14th of August 2020, Politico Magazine, in a lengthy article, revealed for the first time Barack Obama’s true opinion of Joe Biden together with his warning to the people of America. During the 2020 primary Obama told a fellow Democrat: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.” In light of August 2021 and 2022, were these revelations published during the Ides of August in 2020 just a coincidence or a foretelling?
On the 15th of August 2021, Biden unleashed a deadly and unfathomably haphazard de facto surrender in Afghanistan. He heartlessly and deliberately left behind over a thousand American citizens as well as untold thousands of Afghan allies. He abandoned, in usable form, over $7 billion dollars in military equipment for the Taliban to create one of the best equipped militaries in the world, thus, reconstituting an avowed terrorist state. His approval numbers and that of the Democrat party immediately cratered and have not recovered nor will they ever recover as long as Biden occupies the Oval Office.
On the 8th of August 2022, the Justice Department, responding to Biden’s edict to prosecute Donald Trump using any pretext possible, raided the former president’s home at Mar-a-Lago, using the guise of recovering highly classified papers. This unprecedented, anti-democratic and extra-judicial process has cast a permanent and irreversible shadow of corruption, ineptitude and malevolent authoritarianism on Joe Biden and the Democrat party that will eventuate in overwhelming political losses for the Party and the demise of the Biden presidency.
Before or around the 15th of August 2023, Joe Biden will be forced to resign. In a last-ditch effort to avoid a potentially devastating 2024 election and facing either Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis or Ted Cruz, the Democrat party hierarchy and the ruling class will abandon a feckless and grossly inept Joe Biden by forcing his resignation and thus his ultimate political demise.

The disaster that was the withdrawal from Afghanistan coupled with the spectacle of a choreographed raid, with guns drawn, of a former president’s private residence as well as all the other innumerable economic and foreign debacles that Joe Biden has precipitated in just 19 months should not come as a surprise to anyone who has paid attention to his 50-year career as a politician.
It is a career littered with failures due to unforced errors, countless flip-flops, plagiarism, cupidity, mendacity and demagoguery, all brought about by overweening egocentrism and an inbred inability to admit he is wrong about anything. He has always been an arrogant, self-important demagogue with a short fuse who will slander and defame not only his political opponents but their supporters in the most hateful and over-the-top manner imaginable.
There is little doubt that Biden is suffering from progressive cognitive decline brought about by the aging process, but that should not be an excuse for his lifelong character flaws which have become more pronounced and exaggerated in old age, and in the case of a senescent president of the United States, exponentially more dangerous.
Nor should his cognitive decline be used as a cover to assume that he is willingly manipulated by those around him. That he is merely a puppet signing and regurgitating anything that is put in front of him. He is not a manipulated puppet as he refuses to acknowledge his receding mental capacity due to his implacable lifelong belief that he is always the smartest man in the room. As such he will always adamantly insist that he has the final say in any major decision that emanates from the Oval Office.
On foreign affairs, he sincerely believes he is infallible and will dismiss any and all contradictory opinions or analyses he does not agree with. Thus, it was he who insisted upon and unleashed the humiliating and haphazard surrender in Afghanistan. His arrogance extended to his unwavering belief that he could successfully negotiate with and trust the Taliban, whom he was certain would evolve to be who they are not.
The Afghanistan debacle, which was the catalyst for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and the increasing belligerence of Communist China, has dramatically increased the possibility of a global conflict, empowered a terrorist state, emboldened Iran, and together with open borders exponentially increased the likelihood of massive terror attacks within the United States. All of which is solely due to the unbridled hubris of an exceedingly stupid and imperious man put in office by the ruling class.
The same is true of the decision to unleash Biden’s personal Gestapo, the FBI, against his predecessor and potential future opponent. The lack of foresight, the impetuousness, the deviousness, and most importantly the obliviousness to the potential fallout are the hallmarks of virtually all of Joe Biden’s major decisions over his 50-year career in politics. Thus, there can be little doubt that he either overtly or tacitly ordered the raid and that a spineless Merrick Garland, knowing there was no legitimate legal basis or precedent to justify a military-style raid of the private home of Donald Trump, meekly acquiesced.
By this inexplicable action, Biden has permanently changed the public’s perception of federal law enforcement, revealed to previously indifferent citizens the unbridled power of the federal government, exposed a Democrat party determined to institute a quasi-police state, massively animated Republican and independent voters to vote in November, and irrevocably changed the political landscape. The Democrat party, as presently constituted, is doomed to eventual oblivion.
Thus, the ruling class and it’s enforcers, the radical left-controlled Democrat Party, can no longer allow Joe Biden to remain in power. Biden has effectively empowered the America First movement to potentially become dominant and for Donald Trump to be more influential in American politics than at any time in his pre, post or actual presidency regardless of whether he runs for president in 2024. In 44 B.C. a soothsayer warned Julius Caesar to beware of the Ides of March, unfortunately in 2020 there was no one to warn America to beware of the Ides of August.

Schiff: Trump First Person ‘Without Character’ in the Oval Office
Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump was the first president of the United States “without character.”
Schiff said, “We have seen a pattern with Donald Trump, and that is when he’s not held accountable. He goes on to commit worse misconduct. He wasn’t held accountable for his Russia misconduct that led to Ukraine. He wasn’t held accountable for the worst misconduct in Ukraine that led to a literal attack on our democracy on January 6.”
He continued, “If he’s not held accountable and ever given an opportunity to exercise power again, we can expect things that are worst still. We are forewarned about this man.”
He added, “We always knew the importance of character in the Oval Office, but we didn’t really know until we had someone without character occupy that office. So, I have to think that whatever motivation brought those documents to Mar-a-Lago had nothing to do with the president wanting to do his homework or the national security needs of the country. There’s only one thing that’s ever been important to Donald Trump, and that is Donald Trump. And that’s just — ought to be an utter disqualification from office.”

It’s Over: Trump Will Be Indicted
I have finally seen enough. Donald Trump will be indicted by a federal grand jury.
You heard me right: I believe Trump will actually be indicted for a criminal offense. Even with all its redactions, the probable cause affidavit published today by the magistrate judge in Florida makes clear to me three essential points:
(1) Trump was in unauthorized possession of national defense information, namely properly marked classified documents.
(2) He was put on notice by the U.S. Government that he was not permitted to retain those documents at Mar-a-Lago.
(3) He continued to maintain possession of the documents (and allegedly undertook efforts to conceal them in different places throughout the property) up until the FBI finally executed a search warrant earlier this month.

That is the ball game, folks. Absent some unforeseen change in factual or legal circumstances, I believe there is little left for the Justice Department to do but decide whether to wait until after the midterms to formally seek the indictment from the grand jury.
The cruelest irony for Trump is that it never needed to be this way.
Put aside that in the chaos following his election loss Trump’s team never undertook the normal procedure for properly sorting through and archiving his presidential records in coordination with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Put aside that properly marked classified records were shipped to Mar-a-Lago and sat there for months until he began turning stuff over to NARA in late 2021.
If he had fully cooperated at that point, and returned all of the records to NARA last year, this likely never would have become a criminal matter. DOJ would have declined to take any action, notwithstanding the existence of the classified records, and it would have been a “no harm, no foul” situation. Just another minor story in the Trump saga of incompetence.
But Trump just could not bring himself to play by the rules. He turned over 15 boxes last January but did not turn over all the records. Political operatives from conservative organizations started whispering into his ear that he had legal precedent on his side to refuse to turn over the classified records to NARA (he did not). His lawyers surprisingly wrote a rather condescending letter to DOJ in May 2022, effectively arguing that even if there were still classified records at Mar-a-Lago the FBI lacked the authority to take any criminal action against Trump given his former status as president. Then, in June 2022 after the FBI executed a subpoena to recover more records at Mar-a-Lago, two Trump lawyers wrote (and one signed) a sworn affidavit reassuring the government there were no more classified records at the property.
We now know that statement was not true. The FBI found multiple more classified records, including some with markings for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) during the search this month, and not just located in the storage room with the other boxes of records. They found records located in different parts of Mar-a-Lago.
Of course, there are various arguments for why a prosecution might not succeed in this situation.
There is the contention by Trump and his allies that he declassified the documents, whether through a “standing order” or more specific verbal action. No evidence has been produced corroborating that assertion, and there certainly is no indication that the classification markings themselves were ever revised to reflect the declassification. The Trump lawyers in May certainly did not provide any such evidence in their letter to DOJ, and they similarly provided no evidence of it in their “motion” filed earlier this week in district court in Florida seeking a Special Master.
And that is before we even consider if the classification status would matter for an Espionage Act prosecution, which only requires that the information relate to the national defense.
Trump’s Coup Attempt Will Always Be a Way Worse Crime Than Stealing Documents
There is also the issue of selective political prosecution and supposed bad faith by the government in its decision to pursue the case. This is something that has been mentioned ad nauseum by Trump allies on cable news, and was briefly mentioned in the “motion” filed earlier this week in court. Lacking from those arguments is anything beyond rank speculation. That will not fly in court. Just ask Sidney Powell how well it works to try to litigate in court the way you argue on cable news. Hint: it does not go well.
All in all, this case should and in my opinion will result in an indictment. Sure, an indictment does not equal a conviction. Trump is still assumed innocent until proven guilty. There are unknown variables like whether the prosecution would occur in Florida or in D.C. We do not know what evidence Trump might have to substantiate his declassification claim. And we do not know what the courts would say about his various arguments.
Get the popcorn ready either way.

Don Jr. on ‘My Son Hunter’ Panel: This Film Is ‘Incredible Example’ of Conservatives ‘Looking for Alternative Venues to Spend Their Hard-Earned Money’
The upcoming film My Son Hunter is an “incredible example” of conservatives “looking for alternate venues to spend their hard-earned money,” Donald Trump Jr. said during a panel discussion Thursday evening on Truth Social following the release of the film’s full theatrical trailer.
“Look at Disney stock. Look at Netflix stock. Look at what’s going on,” Trump said. “Our people have finally had enough. We’re no longer just saying, ‘Well, we’re going to accept different views’ while the other side takes your hard-earned money and uses it and weaponizes it against all of your belief systems day in and day out. They’ve said enough, and now they’re looking for alternate venues to spend their hard-earned money and I think this movie is going to be an incredible example of that.”
Trump’s remarks came during a panel discussion on Truth Social hosted by former California congressman and current Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes that also included My Son Hunter director Robert Davi (Licensed to Kill, Die Hard, The Goonies); Government Accountability Institute President, Breitbart Senior Contributor, and bestselling author of Red Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win Peter Schweizer; and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow.

My Son Hunter, which marks Breitbart’s expansion into film distribution, was a crowdfunded project inspired by the investigative reporting of Peter Schweizer and Breitbart News about the Biden family’s corruption—reporting which, as the film’s director Robert Davi noted, the media and Big Tech sought to censor during the 2020 election.
“No one was talking about the Bidens—until recently now the New York Times says it’s okay,” Davi said. “This [film] is I think the first peek that lifts the skirts, so to speak from the Bidens to show people in a humorous way. It’s like the laptop exploded onto film for me.”
The film follows Hunter Biden, aka the “smartest guy” the president of the United States knows, as he navigates a tangled web of prostitution, partying, international business dealings, drugs, sex, Chinese spies, a laptop from hell, Ukrainian oligarchs, more sex, more drugs, and, of course, his responsibilities to the leader of the free world.

Bestselling author Peter Schweizer, who was the first to report on Hunter Biden’s corrupt business dealings with foreign governments at a time when his vice president father was negotiating U.S. foreign policy with those regimes, described My Son Hunter as an entertaining “shorthand version” of his 300-page bestselling book chronically the Biden family corruption.
“I think what people are going to get in this film is information lifted from the pages of my book and turned into the flesh,” Schweizer said.
In fact, Schweizer said that the truth about Hunter Biden’s corruption seems almost too outrageous for fiction.
“It’s such an unbelievable story in a way,” Schweizer said. “I mean, imagine if you were a screenwriter, and you went to producers in L.A. and you said, ‘Hey, I’ve got this idea for a film. It’s going to be [about] the vice president’s son. He’s going to take tens of millions of dollars from the Chinese. He’s going to be a coke addict. And then he’s going to leave his laptop computer at a repair store. And that thing’s going to [be made public], but the mainstream media is going to try to cover it up.’ I mean, the producers would just laugh you out of the room. Yet, that’s exactly what happened.”

Indeed, Donald Trump Jr. noted that had the news about Hunter’s “laptop from hell” not been censored, the outcome of the 2020 election might have been very different.
“The story was out, but they did whatever they could to cover it up, and that’s part of the problem,” Trump said. “That’s why I love that you guys went about doing this [film] because even though the story existed in the ether, social, entertainment, mainstream media, no one would actually cover it because they understood that it would hurt their cause and their narrative. Now we know something like 17 percent of all people would not have voted for Joe Biden just on the suspicion that where there’s smoke there’s fire…That would have changed the election. So, you can see how these things were manipulated so, so flagrantly.”

Panel host Devin Nunes made a pointed joke highlighting the fact that members of the U.S. intelligence community were among the driving forces behind censoring the news about Hunter Biden during the 2020 election by declaring all reporting about his laptop was “Russian disinformation.”
The panel was quick to note the Justice Department and the FBI’s disparate handling of the Trump and Biden families.
“This is a story that the FBI should be all over, and they’re nowhere to be seen,” Davi said about the Hunter Biden corruption scandals. “This is the biggest story in America as far as I’m concerned because the corruption has been kept from the public.”
“I’ve investigated corruption for decades on going after Republicans and Democrats,” Schweizer said. “The treatment that the Bidens and received compared with the treatment of the Trumps, there’s absolutely no comparison.”

When asked by Nunes how Biden family corruption compared to past political corruption, Schweizer called it “absolutely the worst that I’ve seen.”
“You literally have the most powerful family in the United States taking money from our sworn rivals’ and taking it from four businessmen who are linked with Chinese intelligence,” Schweizer stated.
“If I was Hunter Biden, I’d be in jail,” Donald Trump Jr. said. “You know, I’m probably the most deposed-slash-subpoenaed human being/civilian in the history of the U.S. Government. They’ve done countless hours, nothing there—literally nothing or you would have heard about it by now, and I’d be in jail.”
Meanwhile, as Trump explained, Hunter Biden has a laundry list of scandals that have seemingly gone unnoticed by the nation’s various law enforcement agencies.
“Look at the international deals—a billion dollars invested in a crackhead [by] China,” Trump quipped. “Let’s just say China does a little bit better diligence than that unless they’re buying someone. No-show jobs in the Ukraine for millions of dollars with no understanding of even the basic business or an understanding of the language. Doesn’t matter. Money laundering operations for literal Russian oligarchs with direct ties to Putin. I was told that’s Russian collusion! Apparently, it doesn’t matter. That money couldn’t go through a U.S. conventional banking system because it was literally linked to human trafficking rings and sex trafficking rings in Eastern Europe. And that’s not a problem. And that’s before we even get into probably the countless other personal issues.”
“The guy is actually on film with crack pipes and prostitutes talking about how the Russian mob has his laptop—because at this point, which one of our enemies doesn’t have a Hunter Biden laptop?” Trump said ruefully about Biden’s son.

Trump explained that it’s this disparate treatment that has inspired his own political activism and his hope for the success of My Son Hunter.
“I’m just trying to be on the leading edge of the culture wars because we’ve sat back for decades and allowed [the left] to assume control over every major institution in our country,” Trump said. “Even the U.S. military, in terms of leadership, has gone woke [and] the FBI, as evidenced by the hostage-rescue team raiding Mar-a-Lago just last week against their political enemies simply for having the guts to call out the corruption at the FBI. We then get to get lectured sanctimoniously from Christopher Wray—‘How dare we not respect the FBI’—when it seems like they haven’t done anything to deserve that respect. When you’re talking about forging FISA warrants, lying before Congress, the people who did that, whether that’s Andy McCabe or Peter Strzok, they maintain their jobs, they get contributorships at CNN and MSNBC, there’s virtually no penalty.”
“The politicization of our institutions and the outright corruption at this point needs to be called out,” Trump said. “And I think we’ve actually hit a tipping point. I think Breitbart has done a great job of highlighting these things. We created Truth [Social] with Devin to be able to point out these things.”

Trump noted that conservatives are now busy “building their own” and “taking on the power structures that have been so heavily dominated by the left.”
Trump sees My Son Hunter as “part of the tip of the spear” in this conservative fight back.
“The one thing I can say that’s been great about Joe Biden and this administration is it’s been so disastrous that the people who have been agnostic [who] have been too busy to get involved in politics or thought they were too busy to get involved in politics… they’re involved! They’re motivated, they’re watching, and they’re getting it,” Trump said. “I think we’re creating an entire new economy, as we speak, with all of the things that are going on. And this [film] is going to be part of the tip of the spear of that. So, I want it to be successful because I want people to understand just how important this is. We’re fighting for our values. We’re fighting for our country, and we’re just fighting for the future that we want to leave our children. With my five young kids, I want to make sure I leave them in America they recognize.”
Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow sees Breitbart’s distribution of My Son Hunter as embracing the legacy of the company’s founder Andrew Breitbart.
“I’m very proud—and I know everyone at Breitbart is—to be extending Andrew Breitbart’s legacy. He of course famously said, ‘Politics is downstream of the culture.’ It is the culture that is really the driving force in American life, and there is no one who executed on that premise more in recent years than the Trump family,” Marlow said.

My Son Hunter—which is available for pre-order now and will be available for download and streaming starting September 7—stars Laurence Fox (Victoria, Inspector Lewis, The Professor and the Madman) as Hunter Biden; Gina Carano (The Mandalorian, Dead Pool, Heist) as a Secret Service Agent; and John James (Dynasty) as Joe Biden.
Nunes noted that actress Gina Carano was herself the subject of a Hollywood cancellation despite her large fanbase. Truth Social has already shown its success in helping artists bypass woke cancellation. The most recent example of this was Truth Social’s successful promotion of John Rich’s song “Progress,” which hit number one in the Apple iTune’s song chart after Truth Social promoted it.
Nunes said he hopes Truth Social can repeat this success with the promotion of My Son Hunter. “Hopefully we can recreate the success that John Rich had with this new song, ‘Progress.’”
Marlow joked about the beneficial publicity that comes from cancellation. “I’m hoping for at least some level of a cancellation because that seems to be the best way to get publicity these days,” Marlow quipped. “I’m guessing a lot of people are not going to want this film out. Good! We should hear from you! By all means let us know what you think. MySonHunter.com is where people should go.”
Marlow summarized how Breitbart’s embrace of this film is in keeping with the site’s mission and core beliefs.
“We believe the American people are smarter than the average bureaucrat in Washington. They’re smarter than the average Democrat politician,” Marlow said. “This [film] isn’t just conservative content. It’s blatantly anti-woke content. And, of course, the Bidens aren’t going to be happy about it. But this is about using entertainment as an art form to try to convey some deadly serious ideas in a humorous way. And that elevates—that’s stuff that America was all about.”

Director Robert Davi revealed that lawyers associated with Hunter Biden actually tried to infiltrate the My Son Hunter set while he was filming in Serbia.
“Hunter was in Serbia and Belgrade a month before we started the film,” Davi explained. “They sent a team of lawyers, saying they were doing a documentary, to infiltrate the set. And we find out later on that they were sent down. They were representing Hunter Biden. Now, what’s he doing in Serbia when we’re filming in September? What was Hunter doing in Serbia in Belgrade in September? Very interesting.”
It’s hardly surprising that anyone associated with the Bidens would not want Americans to see this film. As Marlow noted, the film brings back so many of the Biden family scandals that “you’re shocked at how many incidences that went down for real in Hunter Biden [and] Joe Biden’s life that you’ve forgotten. There’s so many scandals, you’ve forgotten so many that you could barely count them all.”
