THE SAUDI INVASION OF AMERICA AND THE DOWNING OF THE TRADE TOWERS 9/11 - Seven of the 19 Islamic terrorists who hijacked commercial planes on September 11, 2001 (9/11), killing nearly 3,000 Americans, remained in the United States after overstaying their visas thanks to a wide-open loophole that continues to allow about 685,000 illegal aliens to stay in the U.S.

HOW MANY PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARIES DID THE MUSLIM SAUDI TERRORIST FUND? OR PHONY CHARITIES LIKE THE CLINTON FOUNDATION FAMILY SLUSH FUND?

Seven of the 19 Islamic terrorists who hijacked commercial planes on September 11, 2001 (9/11), killing nearly 3,000 Americans, remained in the United States after overstaying their visas thanks to a wide-open loophole that continues to allow about 685,000 illegal aliens to stay in the U.S.

In total, all 19 terrorists arrived legally in the U.S. as 16 secured tourist visas and three obtained business and student visas. Eventually, on September 11, the terrorists executed attacks in New York City, New York, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania that killed 2,977 Americans and have since left thousands more Americans dead with illnesses related to the attacks.

Seven of the 19 terrorists overstayed their visas either before the attacks or at the time of the attacks. Despite U.S. immigration law requiring their detainment and potential deportation, none were detained or deported.

The seven terrorists who overstayed their visas include:

  • Hani Hasan Hanjour of Saudi Arabia
  • Nawaf al-Hamzi of Saudi Arabia
  • Mohamed Atta of Egypt
  • Satam al-Suqami of Saudi Arabia
  • Waleed al-Shehri of Saudi Arabia
  • Marwan al-Shehhi of the United Arab Emirates
  • Ahmed al-Ghamdi of Saudi Arabia

Nawaf al-Hamzi, specifically, was able to obtain driver’s licenses in California, Florida, and Virginia. Nawaf al-Hamzi, along with his terrorist brother, Salem al-Hamzi — who obtained a Virginia driver’s license — arrived in the U.S. on tourist visas in 1999 from Saudi Arabia.

Nawaf al-Hamzi arrived back in the U.S. in 2001 and lived in New York for just a couple months before hijacking American Airlines Flight 77 and flying the plane into the Pentagon. A month before the 9/11 attacks, Nawaf al-Hamzi was placed on a terrorist watch list. He should have been deported nine months before the attack, as he had overstayed his visa.

Mohamed Atta — who hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 and flew the plane into the World Trade Center’s North Tower — had overstayed his visa as of December 2000, but was not deported at the time. Atta was able to obtain a Florida driver’s license despite being arrested months before for driving without a license.

Atta’s name appeared on a terrorist watch list in January 2001 and he was detained in the United Arab Emirates before returning to the U.S. to carry out the 9/11 attacks.

Hani Hasan Hanjour, the terrorist pilot of American Airlines Flight 77 that was flown into the Pentagon, was considered an illegal alien at the time of the 9/11 attacks, as he did not enroll in school despite obtaining a student visa in September of 2000.

Satam al-Suqami and Waleed al-Shehri, likewise, had overstayed their visas in the U.S. before aiding in the Flight 11 hijacking and Twin Towers terrorist attack.

Marwan al-Shehhi — the terrorist responsible for flying United Airlines Flight 175 into the World Trade Center’s South Tower — took at least three trips out of the U.S. and back to the country despite having overstayed his visa as of November 2000. Al-Shehhi was also able to obtain a Florida driver’s license.

Ahmed al-Ghamdi, one of the Flight 175 hijackers, was in the U.S. illegally, as he had overstayed his visa but was never deported, allowing him to hijack the flight and aid in flying the plane into the South Tower in Manhattan.

Today, that visa overstay loophole used by seven of the 9/11 terrorists remains wide open and even larger than decades ago. In the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) latest report on the loophole, officials revealed that nearly 685,000 illegal aliens are in the U.S. after overstaying their visas.

DHS continues to have little-to-no resources for deporting visa overstays despite the 9/11 Commission calling for a rigorous biometric entry/exit system to track all visa-holders in the U.S. and whether or not they have left the country at their required date of departure.

The 9/11 Commission report urged:

William Gheen’s Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC) was formed 18 years ago, just a few years after the 9/11 attacks, to fight illegal loopholes such as visa overstays.

In a statement, Dan Stein with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said, “It is important to note that the Biden administration has forgotten nearly every lesson learned on that tragic day.”

“By loosening immigration inspections, border controls, document security, interior enforcement, and screening standards, America is no longer secure,” Stein said. “The threat of state-sponsored radical Islamic terrorism is still a very clear and present danger, as we have been reminded in just the last few months.”

About half of all the nation’s 11 million to 22 million illegal aliens arrive on visas but eventually overstay. The majority are never deported.

Flashback: Feds Approved Visa for 9/11 ‘Mastermind’ KSM Just Before Attacks

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind behind the September 11, 2001 (9/11) Islamic terrorist attacks on the United States, was approved for a visa by the federal government just weeks before the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.

About six weeks before the 9/11 attacks, Mohammed, known by federal officials as “KSM,” was approved for a tourist visa to enter the U.S. despite having been indicted in 1996 for terrorism. The 19 hijackers involved in the 9/11 attacks had also been approved for visas.

The 9/11 Commission Report details:

Khalid Sheikh Mohamed, the chief tactical planner and coordinator of the 9/11 attacks, was indicted in 1996 by Federal authorities in the Southern District of New York for his role in earlier terrorist plots. Yet, KSM, as he is known, obtained a visa to visit the United States on July 23, 2001, about six weeks before the 9/11 attacks. [Emphasis added]

Although he is not a Saudi citizen and we do not believe he was in Saudi Arabia at the time, he applied for a visa using a Saudi passport and an alias, Abdulrahman al Ghamdi. He had someone else submit his application and a photo through the Visa Express program. There is no evidence that he ever used this visa to enter the United States. [Emphasis added]

In 1998, KSM was linked to the bombings on U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Likewise, in 2000, KSM was linked to the bombing on the USS Cole.

Attorneys for KSM, along with other terrorist detainees at Guantanamo Bay, are reportedly negotiating plea agreements with the federal government for their involvement in the 9/11 attacks and other U.S. terrorist attack plots.

“Negotiated agreements are part of all criminal cases, and negotiations have taken place throughout the case,” an attorney for KSM’s nephew, Ammar al-Baluchi who is accused of being a courier for Osama bin Laden, said in a statement. “This process is not unusual: the vast majority of capital cases in the United States are resolved by plea.”

9/11: What Do Americans Actually Know About This Terrible Day?

Twenty-one years on, and where are we? What do our children know about 9/11 and the Islamic terrorists who attacked our country in the worst attack on our homeland in American history? In a word, nothing. Or worse.

Why did the attackers do this? Discussing their motive today, twenty-one years later, is tantamount to a hate crime. The jihadis’ last letters have all but been scrubbed from the public record.

Read the “martyrdom” letters left by the Muslim terrorists. Allah is mentioned over ninety times. “Remind your brothers that this act is for Almighty Allah,” done for the cause of advancing Islam.

Before the attack, one of the Muslim terrorists who struck our nation on September 11, 2001 wrote: “When the confrontation begins, strike like champions who do not want to go back to this world. Shout, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ because this strikes fear in the hearts of the non-believers. Allah said: ‘Strike above the neck, and strike at all of their extremities.’”

But how many American schoolchildren know or understand that the attackers were Islamic jihad terrorists? How many know what a jihad is, or what the objective of the 9/11 attacks was?

On the morning of September 11, 2001, jihadis attacked the homeland when four commercial airliners were hijacked by Muslim terrorists. The first two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were flown into the two towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. A third plane, American Airlines Flight 77, hit the western side of the Pentagon, just outside Washington, D.C. The fourth hijacked plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania, never reaching its intended target because its crew and passengers fought back against the terrorists. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks, a number that would almost certainly have been significantly higher if not for the actions of those aboard Flight 93.

On that fateful morning, Muslim terrorists hijacked American Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel, and crashed it into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City at 8:46:40 am, instantly killing hundreds of people and trapping hundreds more on the building’s higher floors.

Eighteen minutes later, at 9:03 am, a second hijacked airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, turned sharply toward the World Trade Center and sliced into the south tower and exploded.

At 9:45, the jihadis struck the nerve center of the U.S. military: Flight 77 slammed into the Pentagon.

10:05 a.m.: The south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed, plummeting into the streets below. A massive cloud of dust and debris formed and slowly drifted away from the building.

10:10 a.m.: United Airlines Flight 93, also hijacked. crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania, never reaching its intended target, because its crew and passengers fought back against the jihad terrorists. The hijackers were targeting the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland or several nuclear power plants along the Eastern seaboard.

Here we are twenty years on and... they’ve won. Biden has unleashed the dogs of war. Surrendering Afghanistan to the Taliban was just the beginning, not the end.

If someone had told you in September 2001, as the Twin Towers fell and people in the Pentagon perished, that on the 20th anniversary of this atrocity America would be contemplating aligning with the guys who helped to do it, you would have thought them insane.

The post-9/11 war on truth and reality was the successfully implemented template for the propaganda and misinformation machine the Democrats have employed to destroy our country and dismantle our freedoms. Censoring the truth while smearing, defaming, and attacking anyone who dissented from the lie is now the daily business of the Democrat party and its running dogs in the media, academia, entertainment axis. The Democrats honed this approach in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, defaming and destroying anyone and everyone who dared even to get close to the truth of what happened on that day, and why.

And so almost the entirety of the post-9/11 generation has no idea why it happened, or what can and should be done to prevent it from happening again. And so on one terrible day in the not-too-distant future, it will happen again. For that, we can thank the left’s denial and willful ignorance, and its ruthless pursuit of its authoritarian agenda.

Recalling the haunting images of the attacks on September 11, 2001

After twenty-one years, one would think that the haunting images of 9/11 would fade away in the fog of time. If anything, for me and I suspect others, on the anniversary of 9/11 they have grown stronger as our mind continues to process the trauma of an event that occurred over a decade ago. Every day when I walk past the photograph of my Pentagon office, I still see the faces of my former “shipmates” looking back and asking “why me” before they perished in an inferno that no one could survive.

Perhaps it is due to “survivors guilt” that I am not ready yet to fully process their loss; however, in the meantime, there are two other images from that horrific day that continue to haunt me both day and night. These images define the tragedy of innocent lives lost and our national resolve and unity to avenge their senseless loss.

The first is the video of a young woman jumping from the conflagration at the top of the Twin Towers to meet a certain death. During her last moments on earth, she had the presence of mind to hold her skirt down in an act of modesty. A small but symbolic gesture that will ever define her humility and grace under pressure.

The second image is the group of New York City firefighters along with their chaplain who are suiting up and preparing to advance towards the raging inferno in the Twin Towers. They knew that a mass fire on the upper floors would ultimately weaken the structural integrity of the building and it would soon come crashing down and entomb them in the rubble.

One need only look into their eyes to see that they acknowledged they were doomed to die, but yet they knew it was their duty to press on in an attempt to save their fellow man. That day they demonstrated the reality of John 15:13, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Yes, the images of that day will forever define who we are as a nation but for many of us who survived, we are burdened with the guilt that we did not perish.

I, like many veterans, have PTSD, but its associated stigma made me ashamed, and for many years I neglected to seek treatment, thinking I could carry the burden myself. This impacted not only my mental and physical health, but unfortunately those closest to me. PTSD is not a sign of weakness, but rather a defense mechanism to deal with the trauma that is too great to bear.

If this defines you, seek professional help — if not for yourself, but for your loved ones. After all, PTSD is a warrior sickness not a coward sickness. There is no shame in admitting that you  need help — make that your legacy to those who died on 9/11.

9/11, Islam, and the US: What Have We Learned

Twenty-one years after 9/11 in this supposedly "Islamophobic" country, U.S. Muslims have gained unprecedented political and cultural influence.  The Muslim population in the U.S. increased to 3.85 million in 2020.  Mosques have more than doubled from 1,209 in 2000 to 2,769 in 2020.  These are not grounds for any grudge, as the U.S. is magnet for people seeking prosperity and religious freedom.

But it is troubling that for a country based on the rule of law, Islam and Muslims have acquired an immunity and exemption from any critical scrutiny, no matter how justified.  This "Islamic exceptionalism" operates blatantly at the political and cultural levels and is a recurring pattern going back to almost immediately after 9/11, when George Bush declared that "Islam is peace."

Take Biden's reaction to the stabbing of Salman Rushdie on August 12.  His statement, ostensibly defending free speech, had important omissions.  It made no mention of Islam or even "Islamism" or the First Amendment and, most importantly, to the right to commit blasphemy, which was the fundamental motive for the stabbing.  Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser, made an even more squeamish statement, completely omitting any mention of freedom of speech, Islam, or blasphemy and trotted out a few cookie-cutter horror words: "Today, the country and the world witnessed a reprehensible attack against the writer Salman Rushdie.  This act of violence is appalling."

Contrast Biden's response with that of the French.  Following the Samuel Paty beheading in October 2020, giant images of the Charlie Hebdo cartoons of the Muslim prophet Mohamed were projected onto two town halls under heavy security.  On both sides of the Atlantic, the fundamental issue was blasphemy, but the responses could not have differed more.

Biden's speech on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 made no reference to any religion.  But he did mention the followers of only one religion: Islam.  Predictably, and cynically using this opportunity to reinforce Muslims' victim status (despite their flourishing since 9/11) and keep them firmly voting Democrat, he issued a sham warning against the "darker forces of human nature: fear and anger, resentment and violence against Muslim Americans, true and faithful followers of a peaceful religion."  Our political class uses the adjective "peaceful" only for Islam.

Ilhan Omar, a Muslim supremacist, who has made herself invincible by donning the woke cloak of "fighting for justice, for equality, for the right for us [Muslims] to equally exist in this country" and notably ungrateful to the U.S., given her life history, vaporized the human suffering of 9/11 when she said, "CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties."

Her breezy dismissal of the 9/11 carnage came in the same speech that she opened by lamenting "a tragic, tragic nightmare that has happened to Muslims in New Zealand," referencing the Christchurch attacks.  For comparison's sake, the New Zealand attacks left 49 dead against the 2,997 on 9/11.  She has suffered no political consequences and is invariably elected by her "Islamophobic" voters.

The determination to exonerate Islam is deeply embedded in mainstream media.  On September 11, 2018, the New York Times tweeted (and later deleted) that "airplanes took aim" at Twin Towers on 9/11.  For the Times, the malignant agency of Osama bin Laden and the international team that planned the carnage counted for nothing.

During the Pulse Nightclub attack in Orlando in 2016, the killer Omar Mateen placed a "chilling, calm, and deliberate" call to 911, calling himself an "Islamic soldier."  Obama admitted that Mateen had pledged allegiance to "ISIL" and said that "countering this extremist ideology is increasingly going to be as important as making sure that we are disrupting plots from the outside."

Yet, if an attack that is clearly terrorist in nature (it is immaterial if it was mixed up with troubled sexuality, as claimed) is somehow transmogrified and elevated seamlessly into a national memorial for gay rights and excludes any reference to the Islamic motivation of this act, then we as a nation have traveled long and hard down the road of self-delusion and surrender to Islam.

Major Nidal Hasan's terrorist attack in Fort Hood in 2009, which killed 13 people and wounded dozens, was classified, incredibly, as "workplace violence."  In 2021, he exulted and congratulated the Taliban in a triumphant victory message from death row after they had seized control of Afghanistan.  On death row, Nidal's sentence is likely meaningless, as he will probably live his full life.

De facto sharia in the U.S.

The world knows only too well the slaughter provoked by the satirical Charlie Hebdo cartoons.  Muslims consider such portrayals of their prophet as hate speech and an intolerable attack on Islam.  They accuse the West of double-standards, citing criminal prohibitions of Holocaust denial as proof.

But this argument can argument be easily refuted.  Apart from the fact that we are being asked to calmly and rationally accept that murder is an appropriate and justifiable response for cartoons, what would happen if a courageous arts teacher gave an assignment to his students to conduct historical research and draw a respectful and accurate picture of the Muslim prophet?  Would this be considered hate speech?

Assuredly yes, for Muslims consider any pictorial representation of their prophet as blasphemous.  But for the U.S., compliance to this prohibition with its First Amendment guarantee of free speech leaves us with only one conclusion: that sharia law is the de facto law in the U.S., to which the U.S. Constitution must capitulate.  In this respect, at least, we are not at all different from Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Apart from these constant political and cultural exceptions made for Islam (and Islam alone), the behavior and actions of sections of the Muslim population in the U.S. deserve scrutiny.

Although Muslims make up a bit more than one per cent of the U.S. population, they constitute about nine percent of the state prison population.  Muslim immigration has dramatically increased the risk of female genital mutilation (FGM) which is understood in many Islamic countries as a religious obligation.  In North America, Muslims commit most of the honor killings.

We have reached here because of the unbreakable alliance of the left and Islam.  Leftists' frequent accusations of "Islamophobia" are grossly exaggerated and more powerful than any weapon.  This does not imply that Muslims cannot be targeted.  But the left's partnership with Islam has succeeded in achieving a unique moral inversion.  Leftists have conferred upon a specific religion and its followers blanket immunity from hostile examination, and simultaneously labeled those as making any enquiry, no matter how justified by facts, as intolerant, and excluded them from the streams of authorized debate.

September 11 was the day that the towers fell, and the U.S. began its submission to Islam.  Unless checked, it will surely hasten our downfall as a nation.

OBAMA’S WAR ON THE JEWS

The Democrats are now officially the party of Jew-hatred. This is largely due to the disastrous presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. PAMELA GELLER

Abunimah’s piece -- and Obama’s numerous anti-Semitic associations -- got little attention. Throughout his life Barack Obama has been close friends with numerous virulent anti-Semites: Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Khalid al-Mansour, Rashid Khalidi and others.  PAMELA GELLER

Obama sabotaged the process of bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to justice and now, just as with the Taliban and Iran, Biden is finishing the criminal betrayal that his boss began.

Hayward: Susan Rice’s Abandonment of Democrats’ Khashoggi Crusade Frames Biden Saudi Trip

Democrats have become quite muted in their criticism of Saudi Arabia, particularly over the death of political activist and writer Jamal Khashoggi, as President Joe Biden prepares to visit Riyadh in July and beg for oil from the kingdom he once promised to excommunicate from the civilized world. Obama Administration veteran Susan Rice, a major force in the Biden White House, seems to have lost her previously fervent interest in “punishing” the Saudis.

Human rights activists are grumbling about the sudden silence from Biden and his party. When Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia was announced, Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard called it a “betrayal for Jamal Khashoggi, for Yemen, and a betrayal of what the Democratic party stood for over the last three years.”

“I have absolutely no doubt that Joe Biden will get nothing in terms of human rights protections and the visit will be seen as a full victory and endorsement of Saudi Arabia,” Callamard predicted.

These complaints are muted compared to the excoriation former President Donald Trump received for supporting the Saudi government after the murder of Khashoggi, who was lured into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey in October 2018, violently executed by a team of Saudi agents, and dismembered.

Jamal Khashoggi’s fiance appears before his death was confirmed in Turkey in 2018 (Photo: Associated Press)

The Saudis have portrayed the killing as a rogue operation and prosecuted several alleged perpetrators. Many human rights groups dismissed those claims and accused Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the de facto chief executive of Saudi Arabia, of ordering the murder.

Those groups believed the Saudi government deserved to be condemned and ostracized for the killing, atop their grievances against the Saudis for hitting civilian targets during their intervention against the Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen, as Callmard indicated.

Joe Biden promised to do exactly that during the 2020 presidential campaign, most famously during the Democratic primary debate in 2019. Asked if he would “punish” senior Saudi leaders for Khashoggi’s death, Biden replied:

Yes, and I said it at the time. Khashoggi was, in fact, murdered and dismembered, and I believe on the order of the crown prince. And I would make it very clear we were not going to, in fact, sell more weapons to them, we were going to, in fact, make them pay the price and make them, in fact, the pariah that they are. There’s very little social redeeming value in the present government in Saudi Arabia.

And I would also, as pointed out, I would end subsidies that we have, end the sale of material to the Saudis where they’re going in and murdering children, and they’re murdering innocent people. And so they have to be held accountable.

One of the biggest players in the Biden administration is Susan Rice, who was national security adviser to President Barack Obama when Joe Biden was vice president. Rice was a big part of the Obama administration’s bizarre obsession with turning away from the Gulf Arab states and embracing ultra-hostile Iran as America’s key partner in the Middle East, and she was a very loud critic of the Saudi government and President Trump after the Khashoggi murder.

Rice went directly after MBS in an October 2018 op-ed for the New York Timescalling him out for “extreme recklessness and immorality” that made him “a dangerous and unreliable partner for the United States.”

Rice heckled Americans “from Silicon Valley to the editorial pages of our leading papers” for getting suckered by “the crown prince’s promises of reform and the deft marketing of his leadership,” but said his true character had been exposed by “numerous impulsive and vicious actions” – from the war in Yemen to Khashoggi’s killing, from the repression of dissidents to his brutal seizure of power and money from other royals.

“If we fail to punish him directly and target only those around him, the crown prince will be further emboldened to take extreme actions,” Rice urged, going right up to the line of regime change.

“The United States was wrong to hitch our wagon to Prince Mohammed, but we would be even more foolish to continue to do so,” she declared.

That was then, and this is now, with President Biden’s approval ratings tumbling into the abyss because of skyrocketing inflation and gas prices, and Democrats looking at a midterm election bloodbath.

The Obama-Biden administration supported the Saudi intervention in Yemen when it began, but in a 2019 interview with the Huffington PostSusan Rice absolved both Obama and Biden of having to address their old policies or speak up on the death of Khashoggi – an event she airily dismissed as “over a year old” at the time. The Huffington Post was very unsatisfied this answer, presaging today’s left-wing grumbles about Biden attempting to repair his relationship with the Saudis.

The Obama brain trust’s pivot to Iran lies in shambles, wiped out by the hostility and intransigence of the aspiring nuclear power in Tehran. The Iranians certainly are not going to rescue the Democrats from the electoral consequences of Joe Biden’s malicious energy policies.

The Saudis won’t either, in part because they remember Biden and Rice’s insults, and because their own geopolitical agenda does not include surging oil production to bring prices down. French President Emmanuel Macron took the remarkable step on Monday of warning Biden not to waste his time in Riyadh in front of press camerasvery much aware that his “personal comments” to Biden would be heard around the globe.

Macron told Biden that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is at maximum oil production capacity now, and the Saudis could only increase their output by 150,000 barrels per day, “maybe a little bit more.”

The Emiratis quickly confirmed Macron’s statement was accurate and the world price of oil promptly went upthe exact opposite of what Biden was hoping for.

According to Politico this month, some Democrats are quietly fuming at Biden for dropping his tough campaign talk when nothing in Saudi Arabia has changed much. Some of them had ideas for little snubs Biden might deliver during his July trip to show the Saudis that his administration remains displeased, without antagonizing them too much – a pathetic walkback from a party that once vowed to isolate Saudi Arabia the way Russia was isolated after invading Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (L) meets with U.S. President Joe Biden in the Oval Office at the White House on September 01, 2021 in Washington, DC. This was the two leaders’ first face-to-face meeting and the first by a Ukrainian leader in more than four years. (Photo by Doug Mills-Pool/Getty Images)

Of course, Biden’s isolation of Russia has been bungled as badly as the rest of his presidency – Moscow is raking in more petrodollars than ever, while the U.S. president is reduced to mewling that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is responsible for the lousy Biden economy. In other words, Biden is saying he picked a financial brawl with an economy one-fifteenth the size of America’s and lost.

With an election just months away and the American people giving him record-low approval ratings, Biden is not about to start a fight with the world’s pivotal oil producer. Even the Iran-centric loons Biden inherited from the Obama administration will think twice about pushing Saudi Arabia and its OPEC partners further into Russia’s – and China’s – orbit.

Biden needs to come back from Riyadh with some kind of win, and MBS can be counted on to negotiate a high price for it. Talk of making the Saudis into global outlaws for murdering Jamal Khashoggi will be long forgotten.

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

Biden recently released Mohammed al-Qahtani, the 20th 9/11 hijacker, and Zuhail al-Sharabi, another hijacker for an expanded version of the 9/11 attacks from Guantanamo Bay, so it's only fitting that he's trying to cut a plea deal with the mastermind of the attacks.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the architect of the September 11 attacks, not to mention multiple other plots and acts of terror including the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and the brutal murder of Daniel Pearl, was captured in March 2003.

19 years later the trial has yet to go anywhere.

In 2008, the process of charging Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others began.

Unfortunately a year later, the pro-terrorist administration of Barack Hussein Obama took office.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced that he wanted to bring Mohammed to a civilian court in New York. The backlash, especially from the families of 9/11 victims, was tremendous and the Obama administration overruled Holder. However Holder injected a poison pill into the system by going after the use of material gained through the terrorist leader's interrogations and even from a “Clean Team” that independently obtained a confession from Mohammed.

“It’s a statement about what this Administration is about,” Holder boasted.

As if anyone needed further reminding of what the Obama administration was really about.

After that everyone settled in for a decade of lawfare by Mohammed’s lawyers who carefully sabotaged any effort to move the case forward by demanding classified information involving the system set up to stop, capture and interrogate Islamic terrorists. And their client and his legal allies followed the Al Qaeda lawfare playbook by making all sorts of frivolous complaints, such as objecting to the presence of female personnel, to drag out the case.

Their game plan was to get the government to settle. And they almost made it once before.

A previous effort to cut a plea deal with Mohammed was thrown out when Attorney General Jeff Sessions demanded that military prosecutors cut out any such nonsense. But now it’s back.

The trial of Mohammed and other terrorists involved in the 9/11 attacks finally began in 2021 and after a series of hearings was shut down again due to the pandemic before being restarted.

The Biden administration has been aggressively pressuring the Department of Defense to shut down Guantanamo Bay and free all the terrorists. Mohammed and his legal allies understand that, like Obama, Biden wants to empty Gitmo. The 9/11 mastermind has effectively used that in the past by demanding that he serve out his sentence in Gitmo instead of in Colorado.

Mohammed and his legal defenders claimed that Gitmo was a better place for Muslims.

Even though Mohammed had confessed several times already, a plea deal would have the terror boss trade a guilty plea in exchange for prosecutors dropping the death penalty.

Attorney General Eric Holder had promised that Mohammed would receive the death penalty. Numerous politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, assured 9/11 families he would. But Mohammed understood that, like his Taliban allies, all he had to do was wait out America.

Americans would care less about the September 11 attacks with every year that passed. The families of those who were killed in the Islamic terrorist attacks would grow old or die. The political and military systems would grow tired of jumping through legal hoops and surrender.

And that is exactly what’s happening.

The Obama administration warped the morale and patriotic fiber of portions of the military. Court officials who were once disgusted to even be dealing with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda terrorists have been replaced by those who now ferociously advocate for them.

At the Gitmo trial of an Al Qaeda terrorist last year, military officials serving as a jury sent a shameful letter whining that the terrorist's interrogation was a "stain on the moral fiber of America" and "a source of shame.” The only stain here was in their treasonous cowardly letter and the only source of shame is that those who wrote it are still employed by the military.

The Biden administration is betting that it can cut a plea deal and clear the Mohammed case.

But in 2009, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his fellow terrorists had already entered their "Islamic" response to the charges against them which declared that "killing you and fighting you, destroying you and terrorizing you" are "considered to be great legitimate duty in our religion."

Terrorism, the Islamic response explained, was an "offering" to Allah. It described the "blessed 11 September operation" as "our military attack".

That’s an official confession without any duress whatsoever.

The Islamic response also admitted that even without any of the named pretexts, "it would have been the greatest religious duty to fight you over your infidelity."

This infidelity was defined as “your statement that Allah had a son and your trinity beliefs.”

Al Qaeda would have been at war with America simply because it’s a Christian country.

“Our prophet was victorious because of fear," the response boasted. "Our religion is a religion of fear and terror to the enemies of Allah: the Jews, Christians, and pagans. With Allah's wiling, we are terrorists to the bone."

It concluded by declaring, "Your end is very near and your fall will be just as the fall of the towers on the blessed 9/11 day."

A country that still had any dignity left would have responded by stringing Mohammed and all the rest of them up. Instead another decade of legal wrangling and lawfare followed as military prosecutors and judges continue to insist that they have no idea how to try and convict him.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had confessed his crimes multiple times.

In 1942, with the war underway, Nazi saboteurs brought here by submarine were arrested by the FBI. They were caught in June, tried in July, and sent to the electric chair in August.

And that was for enemy operatives who had not even managed to kill a single American.

Meanwhile after 19 years of having the mastermind of the murder of thousands of Americans in custody, he has yet to be convicted and is unlikely now to pay the price for his crimes.

The military court system, which was meant to expedite the trials and convictions of terrorists as enemy insurgents during wartime, not criminal defendants protected by the Constitution, has been corrupted and broken. It needs to be replaced. But that is not likely to happen until the next phase of the war against Islamic terrorism is underway.

Meanwhile the political and cultural allies of the Islamists are running our government.

Obama sabotaged the process of bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to justice and now, just as with the Taliban and Iran, Biden is finishing the criminal betrayal that his boss began.
