After House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Thursday that she will not seek a leadership role in the Democrat Party next session, Fox News Host Tucker Carlson presented a video “tribute” to Pelosi.

“We could’ve gone hours, we have that much tape, but we got it down to just a few moments. Here are just a few of her greatest hits,” the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host said.

What followed was a montage of Pelosi:

  • Angrily insisting she has “a heart full of love,” but spewing vitriol about Republicans and accusing them of killing children by building a border wall,
  • Claiming that then-President Donald Trump and Republicans have “doggie-do” on their shoes,
  • Displaying hateful, public contempt and disrespect for the president of the United States during official Congressional proceedings,
  • Reading poetry,
  • Laughing at her own “jokes,” and
  • Attempting to coin a new phrase. (“Open, Biden”???)

Because Republicans won the House majority in this month’s midterm elections, they will be electing the next House speaker. As a result, on Thursday, Pelosi announced in a speech that she will be stepping down and turning party leadership over to a new generation of Democrats.

“Fired, angry, nasty, Pelosi, no class to the end,” television and radio commentator Mark Levin tweeted, reacting to Pelosi’s speech, linking to an article reporting that “Pelosi takes sly dig at Trump in farewell speech as speaker.”

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) put out a statement on Sunday, honoring “Transgender Day of Remembrance” and attacking Republicans for “undermining the safety and well-being” of transgender individuals.

“As our nation marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, the House Democratic Caucus mourns the countless Americans stolen away by the scourge of transphobic violence, a crisis that continues to disproportionately harm trans people of color,” said Pelosi.

“Whether spouting dangerous rhetoric from cable news desks or openly bullying schoolchildren from the halls of power, MAGA Republicans are cruelly undermining the safety and well-being of our transgender community,” she said.

“Horrified by such shameless bigotry, House Democrats are proud to march alongside our trans friends, neighbors and siblings as we work to uphold justice and dignity for all,” said Pelosi.

San Francisco – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released this statement in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance:

“As our nation marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, the House Democratic Caucus mourns the countless Americans stolen away by the scourge of transphobic violence, a crisis that continues to disproportionately harm trans people of color.  Today, and every day, let us offer comfort to grieving loved ones, honor the memory of those killed and continue fighting to save lives from the wicked forces of hate.

“That fight remains more urgent than ever, as right-wing extremists target transgender Americans’ most fundamental rights and freedoms.  Whether spouting dangerous rhetoric from cable news desks or openly bullying schoolchildren from the halls of power, MAGA Republicans are cruelly undermining the safety and well-being of our transgender community.  Horrified by such shameless bigotry, House Democrats are proud to march alongside our trans friends, neighbors and siblings as we work to uphold justice and dignity for all.  That is why we enacted fully-inclusive federal hate crime protections with the historic Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.  And it is why the Democratic House has twice passed the Equality Act, landmark legislation extending the full protections of the Civil Rights Act to LGBTQ Americans.

“Heartbroken for so many beautiful souls murdered by hate and guided by relentless activists across the country, let us renew our resolve to build the future that our children deserve.  Together, we will forge a safer, more just America – one where all of its people can freely and proudly exercise their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
