House Republicans release a scathing report alleging politicization of the DOJ and the FBI
On Friday, the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee released 1050 page report detailing the claims made by myriad whistleblowers at the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the abuse of power and politicization of the nation’s foremost law enforcement authority.
They called it "the first comprehensive accounting of the FBI's problems to date, which undermine the FBI's fundamental law-enforcement mission."
The following are the key details of the report.
The report states that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray are willing participants in the Biden Administration’s weaponization and politicization of law enforcement
The whistleblowers describe the FBI’s D.C. leadership as “rotted at its core,” with a “systemic culture of unaccountability,” and full of “rampant corruption, manipulation, and abuse” and that "the problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI's politicized bureaucracy."
The whistleblowers allege that “the FBI prioritizes investigations and uses differing tactics based on political considerations—using aggressive tactics against political opponents of the Biden Administration while going softer on, or outright ignoring, allegations against the Administration’s political allies.”

The reports reveal that investigations into the Trump campaign and its associates were based on information from left-wing organizations. However, the nature of the sources was diluted in an official memo seeking probes and the probe was approved by the FBI leadership.
The report slams the FBI for abusing its authority under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to spy on US citizens associated with Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
The report also cites the DOJ and FBI conducting an unprecedented raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence as an instance of abuse of power and political bias.
There is mention of the FBI seizing the personal phone of Pro-Trump GOP Congressman Scott Perry of Pennsylvania.
Whistleblowers also allege that the FBI’s “political meddling” “is dragging the criminal side of the Bureau down” as resources are “pulled away” from real law enforcement duties.
Whistleblowers alleged that FBI officials purposefully portrayed information related to Hunter Biden’s financial and foreign business activities as disinformation.
The report reveals the FBI's resistance toward probes that are meant to initiate remedial actions.
Agents provided an unsolicited and unnecessary briefing to GOP Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, who were investigating Biden’s foreign business deals. Perhaps the goal was to misdirect the probe and render it futile. The report also reveals that details about that briefing were later leaked to the news media in an apparent effort to discredit the senators’ investigation.
The whistleblowers also claim the FBI is “artificially inflating statistics about domestic violent extremism” by pressuring agents to report irrelevant incidents as violent extremism and by categorizing Jan. 6th-related investigations as separate cases, not as related to one single incident.
The whistleblowers cite examples of the FBI abusing its counterterrorism authority to investigate parents who spoke out at school board meetings. The report states that the DOJ and FBI used counterterrorism resources to investigate parents protesting against a far-left school curriculum for their young children.
The report also reveals the FBI did little to prevent attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers and other facilities while prosecuting pro-life protesters.
There is mention of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, conceding that an FBI warning led to suppressing and censoring articles relating to Hunter’s infamous laptop from hell.
The report also makes a broader point of the FBI’s collaboration with social media platforms “to censor Americans’ political speech.”
The report adds that “there is little indication the FBI has changed—or is willing to change—course” despite their abuse of power and politicization being extensively reported.
Whistleblowers also allege discrimination within the FBI toward those who “dissent from its woke, leftist agenda” and the suspension of the security clearances of these staff and questioning of their “allegiance to the United States.”
There are troubling revelations that the Bureau is seeking to “purge” FBI employees holding conservative views and that retaliatory actions were taken against at least one whistleblower.
The whistleblowers claimed that the FBI is taking steps toward firing employees who engaged in protected First Amendment activity on Jan. 6, 2021, according to the report.
There are other revelations that the FBI seems less focused on serious crime. One of the whistleblowers was told that “child sexual abuse material investigations were no longer an FBI priority and should be referred to local law enforcement agencies.”
How did the FBI react? The FBI appeared to dismiss the report in the following statement released on Friday night:
"The FBI has testified to Congress and responded to letters from legislators on numerous occasions to provide an accurate accounting of how we do our work. The men and women of the FBI devote themselves to protecting the American people from terrorism, violent crime, cyber threats, and other dangers.
“We follow the facts without regard for politics. While outside opinions and criticism often come with the job, we will continue to follow the facts wherever they lead, do things by the book, and speak through our work"
So what do we make of all this?
In a democracy, agencies such as the FBI have a crucial role to play. The FBI’s mission is to protect citizens and uphold the Constitution of the United States, in other words, they must serve citizens by being vigilant watchdogs.
It is essential that the FBI remain objective and apolitical to ensure that the law is enforced based on the nature of the crime and unquestionably not the influence, affluence, party affiliation, and ideology of the actor.
Alas, these watchdogs have relinquished their objectivity and vigilance and have willingly become lapdogs of the deep state and the D.C. establishment. Hence, they bark at and even bite those who present a threat to the status quo in D.C. while they servilely wag their tails before the powerful.
Legal egalitarianism is a fundamental tenet of any functioning democracy. When that essential principle begins to falter and the law is selectively applied, democracy begins to dissolve
It is essential, that the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee meticulously investigate the FBI and initiate remedial action by purging out rogue politized agents.
It will not be easy.
The politicization of the FBI didn’t occur in a day, the grab was strategic and gradual such that the roots run very deep. There may have been major changes that have made the organization inherently biased. These changes won't be documented anywhere but are implicitly known. Perhaps recruitment and promotion programs ensure that individuals of a certain political proclivity make it to the top.
The FBI could retaliate by digging up personal dirt on the Republicans investigating them. The media will amplify these allegations and even fabricate them. The allegations could even be of a serious nature and devoid of any credible basis, but it won't matter. There would be demands for resignation and the probes would be discredited. It could be similar to what happened during Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
The GOP will have to be focused, determined, fearless and above all impervious to bogus allegations and media smear campaigns.
All of this is much easier said than done.

Barack Obama promised to fundamentally transform America, and he certainly tried hard to do so. Under his watch, we saw the politicization of federal agencies under his watch, victimization becoming a virtue, and the government intruding into Americans’ health decisions. We can also see the damage his Justice Department inflicted as it coerced cities around the country into “consent decrees” that neutered police forces. There is of course much more but, in reality, the most fundamental transformation for which Barack Obama is responsible has nothing to do with his time in office.
The backlash against Obama’s leftist policies brought us the unabashed patriot, Donald Trump. But by the time Trump was inaugurated, the cancer from Obama’s eight years in office had done its damage, and many in the federal government had become fully engaged members in the cult of progressivism. From the fiction that America has widespread “white supremacy,” to environmental extremism, to LBGTQXYZ fanaticism, to the open borders lockstep, leftism was now baked into much of the government ruling America.
Trump shocked the world and stepped into a Washington that more resembled a swamp of vipers than the seat of a functioning government. The leftist cabal—including a wide swath of those government workers—spent 4 years seeking to derail the plans of the duly elected president of the United States. This treachery culminated in November 2020 when the government colluded with the media and social media to execute a coup against the sitting president under the guise of “The most secure election in American history.”
And it is that coup with which Barack Obama achieved his greatest success in “transforming” the United States because it gave us Joe Biden.

No matter how bad Obama’s actions while in office, nothing he did compares to Joe Biden. Since being installed as president, Biden has done an insane number of things that simply make no sense from a rational perspective.
Literally the first thing Biden did was reduce the amount of energy available to Americans. He canceled completing the Keystone XL Pipeline which would have brought more Canadian oil. Soon thereafter, the administration threw up roadblocks to domestic oil production both offshore and on federal lands. First, they curtailed new leases and “reviewed” existing ones. Later, when they backed off from a complete ban, they instituted a virtual ban, which included increasing fees and other elements to make extraction more expensive for energy companies and everything more expensive for Americans.
Next, his administration propelled mandates for the untested vaccine that swept across the country, forcing severe post-lockdown restrictions on Americans covering travel, shopping, employment, and more. Nationwide tens of thousands of firemen, police, teachers, and even Navy SEALS lost their jobs and incomes because of vaccine mandates for a virus with a survival rate of above 99.9% for almost everyone.
Building on that lunacy, the Biden CDC recently issued a recommendation that states require Covid vaccinations for school children even though the survival rate for ages 0-19 is 99.9997%. So, this administration would have seventy-five million American children vaccinated with a medicine that has had no long-term testing, making the long-term effects, by definition, unknown. This is part and parcel for an administration with so little regard for children that it supports the castration and mutilation of children who are not old enough to vote or to drive, often without the knowledge or consent of their parents.
Then, of course, there is the economy. With the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act, Biden poured trillions of dollars into the economy and drove inflation to levels not seen in 40 years. Everything, from energy to housing to food to clothing…virtually every single thing Americans use has gone up in price since Biden became president, often by giant leaps. As a consequence, Americans are fighting to stay afloat financially, with 60% worse off than they were a year ago and a staggering 40% of businesses missing their rent payments in October.
As if making Americans less prosperous wasn’t enough, Joe Biden has made the world less safe. In August 2021, the Pentagon exited Afghanistan in such haste that it left behind literally tens of billions of dollars of weapons for the terrorists now running the country to use as they please. Not content to arm one just one terrorist government, the administration pushed to reopen negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal. Then there is Russia and Ukraine. Early on in the conflict, when the sides were close to an agreement to cease hostilities, Biden sent his puppet, Boris Johnson, to scuttle the negotiations and, as a result, the world is the closest it has been to nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
All of this has changed America, and not for the better. But while rising prices and forced vaccinations may change American behavior, they don’t rise to the level of transforming the country.
But changing the demographic makeup does. And this is where Joe Biden is fulfilling Barack Obama’s goal. He invited essentially anyone willing to make the trip to come to the United States by telling them that they would not be detained and they would be able to get healthcare. Not surprisingly, millions of people from impoverished nations crossed the border into Club Biden. Since Biden became president it’s estimated that more than 5.5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border. And that doesn’t include the hundreds of thousands or millions who crossed and were never seen by the Border Patrol in the first place.
There is something called “replacement theory” which Democrats label as a conspiracy theory amongst racist whites. It’s not that. As Tucker Carlson demonstrates in a piece from earlier this year, replacement theory isn’t a right-wing conspiracy theory at all but is, instead, a plan Democrats have spoken about for years. As they will tell you, the goal is to outnumber the mostly White, American-born population with people who look and think differently. Not surprisingly the way they accomplish that is by inviting in millions of people from countries that rarely share American mores and values.
To put those 5.5 million plus people in perspective, that’s more people than live in 28 out of the 50 states; it’s more people than South Carolina, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Connecticut individually or Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, and Washington DC combined! It’s also more than the population of every single city in America other than New York. Every single one….
At this rate, by the end of Joe Biden’s first term, as many as 15 million new illegal aliens could be here, all of whom need healthcare, schooling, food, shelter, and clothing, provided free of charge by American taxpayers already struggling to put food on the table and fuel in their cars, and keep a roof over their heads.
That is a fundamental transformation. Once those 15 million people get to vote, Republicans will never win another election and America will become San Francisco. But “they’re not citizens,” you say, and they can’t vote. Given the current state of affairs and the Democrats’ fading allure among actual Americans, how long do you think before that changes? Remember, these are the people who told us that gay marriage was all they wanted but are now telling us men can have periods and allowing hospitals to do unnecessary mastectomies on girls without their parents’ knowledge.
We are on the cusp of a real, fundamental transformation of America. There are however those who want to move the country back in the direction of sanity. None of those people are running under the Democrats’ banner….

Wow. Angry, creepy, sleepy Dementia Joe gave another one of his atrocious Sieg heil! speeches on Wednesday blaming MAGA Republicans for his failures, and the wannabe tyrant could not have come off more revolting. (Could he be any more despicable? — sorry, Chandler Bing.) If his imbecilic ranting had any strategic objective, it got lost (much like Biden) in the disgustingly un-American backwash frothing from his vitriol. He sounded like some mad-hatted, off-kilter offspring of Stalin, Hillary Clinton, and a caca-throwing howler monkey. It is a wonder that he refrained from calling for public MAGA executions right then and there! Our mentally-challenged, child-grooming, puppet dictator was clearly going for the dumb, pervy, pro-gulag vote with a mindless diatribe meant to do nothing but threaten and divide Americans.
As has evidently become official U.S. government policy, Slow-Joe's speech consisted of nothing but vilification, calumny, and lies. He tried to paint the hammer-wielding commie Castro nudist who Houdini-ed his way past security to invade Paul Pelosi's personal space as a card-carrying member of Team Trump, yet the absurdity of turning a far-left, drug-addled hippy into a MAGA mascot was far too removed from reality to resemble anything but flagrant propaganda. The speech (such as it was) went downhill from there. It was evil MAGA did this, insurrection that, democracy is hanging by a thread, Oceania must defeat Eurasia — regurgitated gibberish all! For as little sense as his insults and threats made, Slanderous Joe might as well have screamed, "Trunalimunumaprzure, du eshuur dez whee vild mehrca, argle-bargle, jiggery-pokery, bark-bark. I'm Jill Biden, and I approve this message."
Oh, and Mail-In-Ballot Biden went out of his way to warn Americans that it would take many days for midterm votes to be counted before this year's elections are "officially" concluded. Criminelly, tell me you plan on stealing the elections without saying you plan on stealing the elections, why don't you! (Get out and vote anyway! The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray.)
The ol' child-sniffer-in-chief sounded more like a Latin American commie crook than an American politician. Maybe Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez never actually died but came up north disguised as a doltish, decrepit, corrupt, third-rate Delaware politician with the inside skinny on how best to rig an election. If that's not Chávez wearing a Joe Biden mask, then what's left of Go-Low-Joe's pudding mind is pure Marxist malevolence. What a disgrace!
Forget unworthy comparisons to Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Reagan, or Trump. Ventriloquist Dummy Biden couldn't — in his wildest dreams — manage to lead an army, write and speak eloquently, or succeed in the private sector beyond the safe confines of quid-pro-quo corruption and life on the public dole. He has no talents or gifts that distinguish him in any way. His singular accomplishment is that he has managed to hold office in Washington, D.C., for half a century. Yet that feat distinguishes him as a mere barnacle clinging to the ship of State, sponging off the accomplishments of other larger-than-life American leaders who swam the Potomac's currents as political whales. What is more, American voters have known this about him for decades, as they overwhelmingly rejected him in two previous humiliating runs for the White House before Basement-Dwelling Biden managed to collect enough mail-in ballots (wink-wink) to make him the most popularly elected president in American history. You see, if you harvest enough ballots (and break enough election rules), you can miraculously go from worst to first in no time. Uff-da.
Two questions kept running through my mind as I watched the sleazy spectacle unfold: (1) How has America fallen so far?; and (2) Who in their right mind would ever go fight a war overseas for this fraud?
As for the first question, the answer's pretty obvious: slow and steady ruination orchestrated from within the cesspool of government. You spend the last century undermining America's federalist system by stealing inherent powers reserved for the states and the American people and transferring them to some unholy Frankensteinian D.C. monster recklessly wielding unconstitutional authority. You distort the delegated separation of powers so completely that the Supreme Court writes laws, the Executive Branch declares war, unaccountable bureaucratic agents browbeat ordinary American citizens, and Congress conducts show trials, while cashing checks from the big-monied interests politicians actually represent.
You go out of your way to teach America's children that Almighty God is not real and that God-given freedom is made-up; and then you spend decades teaching those children's children that Big Government is the highest power, and that the almighty State will reward "politically correct" subjects with a lot of "free" stuff if they remain well-behaved. You mock virtue and sacrifice, character and courage; and you place sin, vice, and other cheaply obtained pursuits of no worth high on a pedestal, as if they should be idolized as precious luxuries to be pursued and adored.
You open America's borders to too many outsiders who don't share the nation's values or history. You disrespect citizens and ignore their needs and complaints. You orchestrate fraud-filled elections that destroy trust and breed hostility. You redefine the plain meaning of words, peddle propaganda, and smother truth. You turn the "free" press into controlled organs of the State. You transform the courts into a two-tiered criminal (in)justice system that protects the powerful and persecutes the powerless. You disgrace the Department of Justice by using FBI agents and federal prosecutors as political partisans, inquisitors, and cheaply bought whores.
You do all this, shake the whole sordid mess in society's giant tumbler until it's ready to explode, and throw the nasty, stinking awfulness out back until it smells like vulture vomit baking in the hot summer sun. Then, and only then, have you created a concoction so revolting and unsavory that someone as venal, petty, and repugnant as Joe Biden can walk past the stench without anyone much noticing.
As for the second question, I honestly don't know why anyone would sacrifice life and limb to defend China Joe's woke, trans-obsessed, identity politics-oriented Defense Department or the Pentagon's Big Brother pals in the Deep State today. If anyone needed more proof that politics — not warfighting or service members' survival — reigns supreme, the disastrous and deadly Afghan retreat was a searing and unpleasant reminder. Furthermore, it's no longer clear just whom Biden's apparatchiks consider the real enemy. When the U.S. Intelligence Community is used to hunt American citizens for their political beliefs, it's way past time for Americans to question why they would fight for those who are already waging war against them. On Wednesday, Biden all but declared MAGA Americans "enemies of the State." On Thursday, his chief of staff, Ron Klain, went so far as to frame Biden's hate-fest as "one final warning" to us all. Threats don't exactly inspire loyalty. And nobody follows a fool into battle.
It's as Mel Gibson's William Wallace correctly averred in Braveheart: "Men don't follow titles; they follow courage." In any walk of life, this observation is undoubtedly true. What people do with their lives, how they conduct themselves, whether they reach for the heavens, and by doing so, inspire others to do the same — or whether they prey on our worst impulses, divide and conquer, and drag us down into their own pits of despair — this is what separates the weak and wicked from those who possess great strength.
Biden, of course, is a weak, wicked, and cowardly man, and no title stitched before his name could ever beckon any American of worth to follow his lead.

There is of course much more but, in reality, the most fundamental transformation for which Barack Obama is responsible has nothing to do with his time in office.
The backlash against Obama’s leftist policies brought us the unabashed patriot, Donald Trump. But by the time Trump was inaugurated, the cancer from Obama’s eight years in office had done its damage, and many in the federal government had become fully engaged members in the cult of progressivism. From the fiction that America has widespread “white supremacy,” to environmental extremism, to LBGTQXYZ fanaticism, to the open borders lockstep, leftism was now baked into much of the government ruling America.
Trump shocked the world and stepped into a Washington that more resembled a swamp of vipers than the seat of a functioning government. The leftist cabal—including a wide swath of those government workers—spent 4 years seeking to derail the plans of the duly elected president of the United States. This treachery culminated in November 2020 when the government colluded with the media and social media to execute a coup against the sitting president under the guise of “The most secure election in American history.”
And it is that coup with which Barack Obama achieved his greatest success in “transforming” the United States because it gave us Joe Biden.

No matter how bad Obama’s actions while in office, nothing he did compares to Joe Biden. Since being installed as president, Biden has done an insane number of things that simply make no sense from a rational perspective.
Literally the first thing Biden did was reduce the amount of energy available to Americans. He canceled completing the Keystone XL Pipeline which would have brought more Canadian oil. Soon thereafter, the administration threw up roadblocks to domestic oil production both offshore and on federal lands. First, they curtailed new leases and “reviewed” existing ones. Later, when they backed off from a complete ban, they instituted a virtual ban, which included increasing fees and other elements to make extraction more expensive for energy companies and everything more expensive for Americans.
Next, his administration propelled mandates for the untested vaccine that swept across the country, forcing severe post-lockdown restrictions on Americans covering travel, shopping, employment, and more. Nationwide tens of thousands of firemen, police, teachers, and even Navy SEALS lost their jobs and incomes because of vaccine mandates for a virus with a survival rate of above 99.9% for almost everyone.
Building on that lunacy, the Biden CDC recently issued a recommendation that states require Covid vaccinations for school children even though the survival rate for ages 0-19 is 99.9997%. So, this administration would have seventy-five million American children vaccinated with a medicine that has had no long-term testing, making the long-term effects, by definition, unknown. This is part and parcel for an administration with so little regard for children that it supports the castration and mutilation of children who are not old enough to vote or to drive, often without the knowledge or consent of their parents.
Then, of course, there is the economy. With the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act, Biden poured trillions of dollars into the economy and drove inflation to levels not seen in 40 years. Everything, from energy to housing to food to clothing…virtually every single thing Americans use has gone up in price since Biden became president, often by giant leaps. As a consequence, Americans are fighting to stay afloat financially, with 60% worse off than they were a year ago and a staggering 40% of businesses missing their rent payments in October.
As if making Americans less prosperous wasn’t enough, Joe Biden has made the world less safe. In August 2021, the Pentagon exited Afghanistan in such haste that it left behind literally tens of billions of dollars of weapons for the terrorists now running the country to use as they please. Not content to arm one just one terrorist government, the administration pushed to reopen negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal. Then there is Russia and Ukraine. Early on in the conflict, when the sides were close to an agreement to cease hostilities, Biden sent his puppet, Boris Johnson, to scuttle the negotiations and, as a result, the world is the closest it has been to nuclear war since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
All of this has changed America, and not for the better. But while rising prices and forced vaccinations may change American behavior, they don’t rise to the level of transforming the country.
But changing the demographic makeup does. And this is where Joe Biden is fulfilling Barack Obama’s goal. He invited essentially anyone willing to make the trip to come to the United States by telling them that they would not be detained and they would be able to get healthcare. Not surprisingly, millions of people from impoverished nations crossed the border into Club Biden. Since Biden became president it’s estimated that more than 5.5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border. And that doesn’t include the hundreds of thousands or millions who crossed and were never seen by the Border Patrol in the first place.
There is something called “replacement theory” which Democrats label as a conspiracy theory amongst racist whites. It’s not that. As Tucker Carlson demonstrates in a piece from earlier this year, replacement theory isn’t a right-wing conspiracy theory at all but is, instead, a plan Democrats have spoken about for years. As they will tell you, the goal is to outnumber the mostly White, American-born population with people who look and think differently. Not surprisingly the way they accomplish that is by inviting in millions of people from countries that rarely share American mores and values.
To put those 5.5 million plus people in perspective, that’s more people than live in 28 out of the 50 states; it’s more people than South Carolina, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Connecticut individually or Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, and Washington DC combined! It’s also more than the population of every single city in America other than New York. Every single one….
At this rate, by the end of Joe Biden’s first term, as many as 15 million new illegal aliens could be here, all of whom need healthcare, schooling, food, shelter, and clothing, provided free of charge by American taxpayers already struggling to put food on the table and fuel in their cars, and keep a roof over their heads.
That is a fundamental transformation. Once those 15 million people get to vote, Republicans will never win another election and America will become San Francisco. But “they’re not citizens,” you say, and they can’t vote. Given the current state of affairs and the Democrats’ fading allure among actual Americans, how long do you think before that changes? Remember, these are the people who told us that gay marriage was all they wanted but are now telling us men can have periods and allowing hospitals to do unnecessary mastectomies on girls without their parents’ knowledge.
We are on the cusp of a real, fundamental transformation of America. There are however those who want to move the country back in the direction of sanity. None of those people are running under the Democrats’ banner….
McCarthy: Democrats Trying to Divide America to Distract from Disasters They Created

(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) accused Democrats of trying to divide Americans to distract from the disasters they created.
As CNSNews.com reported, President Biden gave a speech Wednesday night warning that “MAGA Republicans” are trying to deny people’s right to vote, but missing from his speech, McCarthy said was any mention of the economy, the southwest border, or fentanyl.
“You talk a little bit about the pulse, but you also have to talk about what the president said tonight. He wasn't uniting us. The Democrats were dividing us as they’ve move forward. They just want to distract from the disasters they created,” he said told Fox News’ “Hannity.”
All those topics you brought up? I listened to the president's speech. I don't remember hearing anything about inflation, about gas, about border, about fentanyl, about crime or the 98 individuals on the border who are on the terrorist watch list they have caught.
What we’re really finding in these next six days, this is a hinge election. This is defining election like a 1980 election. Which direction does America want to go? That's why we have the commitment to America.
We literally spell out what we'll do: make us energy independent, give us an economy that’s strong, secure the border, Fund the police, Stop the prosecutors who are woke, give you a parent's bill of rights. You know what else? Save and strengthen Medicare and Social Security, what the Democrats lie against, have a government that is accountable, a future that's built on freedom.
I think the entire nation should look at what the Democrats have done with one party rule, look at what the commitment says, and make a decision. I'm talking to all Americans, not just to Republicans but independents, Democrats, green party. You know this nation can be better. You want to pick somebody who has a plan to turn this nation around and that's exactly what we’re going to do.
The minority leader said that on day one after Republicans takeover the House, they will pass legislation to repeal the hiring of thousands more new IRS agents, because “government should be there to help you, not go after you.”
Our Commitment to America promises what we’ll do to get out of the House. On our very first day on January 3, we’re going to vote on a bill. We’re going to vote to repeal the 87,000 new IRS agents, cause I believe government should be there to help you not go after you. Hold our feet to the fire.
Remember after the ‘94 revolution, it took three times putting on the president's desk before they got welfare reform. We're going to continue fight, move this forward. We need you not only to join with us but stay with us as we move it through the House to the Senate and the president’s desk, but Sean, you’re right. I’ve been watching your show quite some time. Your town halls on these Senate candidates have been tremendous talking about solutions.
It's so important to have the house and the senate. Because it gives us an ability to repeal these regulations with the coming congressional review act which is 51 votes in the senate. We can do reconciliation with 51 votes in senate and put a bill on the president's desk. We have the appropriations process. So they are a number of ways that we can achieve what we talk about in the commitment, even though the president is sitting in office right now.
McCarthy stressed that despite what President Biden has said to the contrary, Republicans will always save and strengthen Medicare and Social Security.
We’re going to use the power but I want to be very clear. We will always save and strengthen Social Security and Medicare. That does not change in the outcome. You should have a debate about how we spend government money. There shouldn’t be a blank check for anything. It's the taxpayers hard-earned money being spent.
We should eliminate this wasteful Washington spending, and we can do that. This is the part that we need the people, and on that very first day, we have already sent the preservation letters. We’re going to hold this government accountable, something that hasn't been done. You should know where COVID originated from. We should know why the DOJ went after parents for going to school board meetings.
We should know what happened those last 60 days of Afghanistan so that never happens, so don't have 13 new gold star families again. These are just a few of the items we’ll be looking at, but what we’ll be doing is moving policy that makes us energy independent, not just in America, but we should make the rest of the world dependent on us. It makes the world more secure and makes America stronger. We should secure our border.
Michael Savage: Biden ‘Worst’ President in My Lifetime, Administration Unrivaled in ‘Evil, Corruption’
Reflecting on the country’s last 15 presidencies, from Franklin D.
Roosevelt to Joe Biden, conservative radio legend Michael Savage argued
that Biden is the “worst” president to lead the country during his
lifetime, claiming a “criminal enterprise [is] running the country,” while
highlighting the current border crisis, the recent Afghanistan withdrawal,
the return to energy dependence, and the “authoritarian” COVID-19
mandate.
Detailing “the good, the bad, and the ugly” aspects of the presidents who ruled America over the last several decades, Savage weighed in on today’s issues during his latest podcast.
Having been born in 1942, when Roosevelt was president, Savage claimed “we are now living under another Democrat President called Joseph Biden, who is not really a president in any sense of the word.”
Arguing the way to objectively judge a president is by his “domestic and worldly successes and failures,” Savage explained why it was up to the individual to decide if the president met these standards.
“With a very small cadre of extreme far-left or Marxist-light so-called presidential historians as the only source to answer our question, we really have to rely upon our own observed realities,” he said.
“We can’t rely upon so-called presidential historians — they’re all part and parcel of the same machine that’s destroying this country,” he added. “They’re of the far-left variety, the socialist variety, the Marxist variety.”
For example, he noted, “almost all Americans would say they respect and love” John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States.
“Is this a product of a sort of mass hypnosis? Media propaganda? Or his actualities?” he asked. “Likewise, in reverse, most knowledgeable Americans know that Jimmy Carter was an abject failure.”
“Both domestically and on the international stage, Carter was a disaster for this country,” he added.
Open Borders
According to Savage, we are currently “living with a presidency that seems to be a foreign power dominating this country rather than an actual presidency in a party of the United States of America,” especially considering this administration has “welcomed 4 million illegal aliens” from South and Central America, Africa, and the Middle East, “almost all of whom have not been vetted for terrorist ties, for diseases… nor for plain old criminal activities such as smuggling drugs.”
As a result, he added, one can conclude “that when they’re bringing in a population larger than that of some states, we have a criminal enterprise running the country.”
Though Savage admitted there have been other presidents “who were weak, like Jimmy Carter,” or “whose loyalties were questionable, such as Barack Obama,” and yet others “who may have been as corrupt as Joseph Biden,” the country has never “had a package of such evil and corruption as we currently have.”
Savage accused Biden of creating “the worst border crisis in American history.”
“He has literally melted down our border with Mexico,” he said. “Four million illegal aliens have not only come in, but have been invited in.”
“That’s larger than some states,” he added, as he pointed to the fact that many are “diseased,” “criminals,” or “drug carriers,” often appearing as “gang members.”
Noting the problem “isn’t abating,” Savage accused the media of turning US Border Patrol agents into “dummies.”
“They’re made into the enemy of America instead of the guardians of America,” he lamented.
Afghanistan Withdrawal
He called attention to Biden’s actions in Afghanistan, which he urged Americans to “never forget.”
“A shamble of a withdrawal from Afghanistan, [it is] one of the low points of his presidency and one of the lowest points of American foreign policy since the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War,” he said. “He left $175 billion of military equipment picked up by Islamic radicals.”
In addition, Savage stated, the Biden administration “assured the country that the withdrawal would be orderly and the Afghanistan government was stable upon America’s departure.”
Calling it a “massive failure of intelligence” after the Afghan government collapsed and the radical Taliban took over the country in just weeks, Savage also detailed how Biden “abandoned our Afghani partners,” and armed terrorists.
“He gave equipment to the Taliban and other Islamic radicals — American equipment — they’re now wearing American uniforms and driving around in American Humvees,” he said.
Energy Dependence
Savage also accused Biden of “taking us back to energy dependence.”
Though during the Trump presidency, the US “became a net exporter of oil for the first time in 75 years,” according to Savage, the “psychos in the Biden administration took away this strategy.”
“Instead, these sickos encourage an increase in green energy at the expense of fossil fuels and good clean nuclear energy,” he said.
“These renewable energy zealots are a long way from meeting global energy needs, and Biden put more regulatory burdens on the oil and natural gas industry slowing its production considerably,” he added.
Most importantly, Savage argued, “the nutcases in the Biden administration shut down the Keystone XL pipeline project to move oil from Canada to the United States while effectively greenlighting the financing of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline to carry natural gas to Germany.”
Domestic Threat
Addressing the “disaster of the Joe Biden presidency,” of which “we’re only halfway through,” Savage insisted “our country is facing an existential threat, where an enemy within has finally shown its face, and it’s nakedly saying it wants to destroy and intimidate its way into a transformed state and nation, a transformed nation that we cannot recognize.”
He also compared the Biden administration to a “radical vigilante woke mob that knocks down and steamrolls anything and anyone that gets in their way:”
They attack the American way in a clear and intensifying manner. They stifle dissent. They’re using the FBI as a personal Gestapo. They publicly shame parents who stand up to the perverse agendas of the radical, perverse left. They encouraged the violence of Antifa and Black Lives Matter. They perverted, distorted the realities of our great history, not only tearing down monuments and buildings, but tearing down the American spirit itself.
Savage then accused the current administration of encouraging the “mobs of wokesters” to “go after the family unit, go after parental rights, go after the traditional moral values, tear down the meaning of the church, [and] tear down fact-based education.”
“We’re all watching as this evil group tries to brainwash our young babies into thinking we live in an evil, racist, irredeemable nation,” he said.
The Biden administration, Savage argued, has “denied science and data.”
“They say that a boy is a girl and a girl is a boy if they say they are such.”
In addition, “they trample over personal liberties that are enshrined in the Constitution, throwing teachers out of jobs who refuse to bend their knee to their perverse agenda,” he continued. “They take to the streets like criminals, burning, looting and destroying everything in sight while we are told by the vermin in the media that these are mostly peaceful and passionate protests.”
Big Tech and Media
Savage also called out “big tech moguls in Silicon Valley” as “the only arbiters of truth, deciding who gets to speak and who gets silenced through the digital public squares that they own.”
“We watch the legacy media muffle legitimately verifiable news stories that do not align with their preferred narrative, only to see the truth seep out months later at a more politically expedient time,” he said.
“The enemy within has taken over media,” he added.
Noting that “corporate boards, professional sports, foundations, [and] professional institutions have steamrolled and left no corner of our lives untouched,” Savage suggested what could be done in response.
“The first thing to do is have knowledge of what the enemy within is doing to us,” he proposed. “Only by knowing what they’re doing to us can we stand up to defeat their false pretenses and predetermined narratives and false promises.”
As a result, Savage argued, “we must know more about Biden than we already know,” as he ripped the media for its portrayal of the “disaster” taking place at the southern border.
“The security at the southern border is an ongoing disaster, given almost no coverage by the worthless stooges in the legacy media,” he said. “The Jake Tappers, the Wolf Blitzers; they are nothing but mouthpieces for a Stalinist regime.”
“The massive spike in border crossings [was] initially excused by the Biden allies in the media as a ‘seasonal problem,’” he added. “Yeah, well, it was really ‘seasonal.’ It was called ‘open borders’ season.”
COVID-19
Savage then slammed the Biden administration’s “authoritarian COVID-19 mandates” whereby “private employers and other organizations with over 100 [or] more employees [were] to enforce a vaccine mandate, despite [Biden] saying that he didn’t think it was exactly constitutional.”
“This liar tried to turn us all into guinea pigs for this unproven vaccine, not really tested except on a massive population,” he added. “And we still do not know what the long-term effects of this vaccine are.”
Crime
In addition, Biden’s presidency has seen “an explosion of violent crime” that began in the summer of 2020, Savage stated, in a trend that was “exacerbated by the Democrat-controlled media tied in with the ‘defund the police’ movement.”
“In fact, because many Democrat-run cities made good on this slogan by defunding their police departments and stemming the use of proactive policing, the criminals are running wild in the streets: rapes, murders, beatings, robberies, break-ins,” he said.
“Cities that defunded police agencies make the list of places with the largest increases in violent crime,” he added.
However, Savage noted that now “these so-called city leaders are changing their tune and restoring police funding after much of the damage has been done, but it will never be good again because not only have the police been defunded, they have been demoralized.”
“They’ve been turned into the bad guys instead of the good guys,” he added. “How many times over the years did I tell you that the thin blue line was the only thing standing between us and total and absolute anarchy? I was right.”
Economy & Ukraine
On the economy, Savage noted today’s rising inflation as he called out the president for having said inflation would be a “temporary problem” his administration had a handle on.
“Right now we have unchecked inflation,” he said. “And they can’t control it because they’re printing money, and they’re spending money on a foreign war that nobody voted for.”
Savage blamed President Biden for having “dragged us into a proxy war against Russia.”
“We all want to see poor little Ukraine survive. We all don’t like the evil wolf or the big bear of Russia. But putting aside what we like and don’t like, it’s not our business,” he said.
“Putting aside the fact that he’s sending our military equipment and billions and billions of our money, billions and billions of our tax dollars, to Ukraine,” Savage continued, “how much of it is being tracked?”
“How do you know how much of this money isn’t going into the pockets of the corrupt officials in Ukraine? How much of it is being kicked back to Democrat officials in America? Do we know?” he asked.
Trump Supporters
However, “worst of all,” Savage argued, is that President Biden “attacked Trump supporters.”
“He called those of us who support Donald Trump a threat to democracy. He used U.S. Marines as political props during [his] September 1 Mussolini speech in Philadelphia,” he said. “The president said ‘We’re not bystanders in this ongoing attack on democracy. There are far more Americans from every background and belief that reject the extreme MAGA ideology than those that accept it.’”
Addressing the president, Savage asserted that “most Americans accept the MAGA ideology.”
“What does it really stand for? It stands for ‘America First,’” he said.
“That’s not a good thing, Biden?” he asked. “It stands for borders, language and culture. That’s not American, Mr. Biden? Which side are you on, Mr. Biden?”
Savage concluded by stating that “some of us can see the future, some of us can see around corners.”
“I hope you understand,” he said. “I’m one of those.”
Last month, following the FBI raid on former President Trump’s estate, Savage accused the Biden administration of having brought a “nightmare” upon America as it “dragged us into the Dark Ages” and “raped half the nation,” as he slammed hypocritical “liberals” for “cheering” on “fascism.”

Tucker Carlson exposes the totalitarian Biden regime

Since its inauguration, the Biden administration has displayed its absolute contempt for freedom and democracy.
Some examples:
The January 6 probe's sole function is to prevent President Trump from running in 2024. Parents who opposed the teaching of Critical Race Theory to young children were branded as domestic terrorists. The Disinformation Governance Board's function is to intimidate citizens from freely expressing themselves. Biden recently called Trump supporters "the most extreme political organization that's existed in recent American history."
The Democrat government-ordered vaccine and mask mandates encroached upon freedom of choice and lockdowns that restricted the movement of citizens.
But beyond these overarching anti-Democratic acts, the Biden administration has also baselessly targeted specific political opponents.
Tucker Carlson reminded his viewers of political opponents who have been targeted since Biden’s inauguration in his monologue yesterday.
The following is the gist of what Carlson referred to:
On Jan. 27, 2021, days after Biden's inauguration, the Justice Department arrested Douglass Mackey, known online as Ricky Vaughn for creating Internet memes that made fun of Hillary Clinton.
On Feb. 3, 2021, the FBI raided the homes of Russell Taylor and Alan Hostetter for organized a lawful political rally on January 6 for which they had a permit.
On April 28, 2021, the FBI seized the cell phones and computers belonging to Trump’s former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, despite not charging him. This was a violation of client-attorney privilege
On June 24, 2021, the FBI raided the home of a Giuliani associate, George Dixon who was working on a documentary about Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and their shady business dealings in Ukraine.
On Jan. 19, 2021, Infowars's Owen Shroyer was arrested and charged because he told the crowd on January 6, "Today we march for the Capitol because on this historic January 6, 2021, we have to let our congressmen and women know, and we have to let Mike Pence know, that they stole the election."
On Nov. 6, 2021, the FBI raided the homes of journalists who work for Project Veritas and the organization's founder, James O'Keefe. They reported on a diary written by Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley, in which she revealed, that Biden behaved inappropriately with her which made her a sex addict later in life.
On Nov. 15, 2021, the Justice Department arrested one of the most prominent critics of Biden and former Trump advisor Steve Bannon for refusing to cooperate with the January 6 probe.
On Nov. 16, 2021, the FBI raided the home of Sherrona Bishop, a former campaign manager for Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado. The FBI confiscated Bishop's cell phone but never charged her with a crime.
Also on Nov. 16, 2021, the FBI raided the home of Mesa County Republican Clerk Tina Peters. Peters had questions about the legitimacy of the last election.
On June 3, Peter Navarro, a trade aide to Donald Trump, was arrested at Washington National Airport, put in leg irons, and sent to jail. Navarro had sued the January 6 Committee, he claimed executive privilege in his communications with the president.
On June 9 of this year, the FBI arrested a leading Republican candidate for governor of Michigan Ryan Kelley. Kelley had participated in the January 6 protests.
On June 22, the FBI seized the phone of former Trump attorney John Eastman in a parking lot. Eastman wasn’t even presented with a warrant.
On June 23, the FBI searched the home of former Trump DOJ official Jeff Clark. The search came one day before the January 6 Committee held a televised hearing claiming Clark had a role in attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
The Biden administration has also targeted the January 6 protestors. Some of the protestors were placed in solitary confinement for prolonged periods of time. Such was the torment that one among them committed suicide.
The criminalizing of political opponents only occurs in third-world dictatorships where the despot wants to leave no stone unturned in his monopoly on power and the narrative. All opposition is outlawed. Questioning journalists, members of the opposition party, protestors, activists, and even artists are targeted.
These are not the kind of occurrences expected in one of the world's leading democracies.
The goal behind these arrests, confiscations, and raids is to outlaw political opposition and association with political opponents.
The targeting is also supposed to function as a deterrent.
Most people just don't want the hassle of being arrested in public or having their devices confiscated so they stay away from Trump or the GOP and keep their ideas to themselves.
If Trump wins in 2024, there may be several talented individuals, perhaps in the private sector, who could serve in Trump's cabinet present fresh ideas, or even run for president themselves later and work toward the betterment of the nation. But they look at the various witch hunts and choose to stay away because they do not want any suffering or the destruction of their reputation. The result is progress is halted and Washington's stale and inept ideas prevail.
This is how the power grab succeeds.
In addition to the overt targeting of opponents. The Democrats also want to make elections irrelevant. They infiltrate election infrastructure. They also amended electoral laws to enable fraud. They use big tech and suppress stories critical of Democrats and concoct stories about their opponents. The list of assaults on Democracy is relentless. It is ironic that they even call themselves Democrats.
They leave the border open and allow an uncontrolled influx of illegal aliens. They even attempted to give voting rights to non-citizens in local elections. The attempt failed, perhaps they will try again or resort to fast-track citizenship for illegal migrants, hoping to increase their vote base.
Unabashedly working alongside the Democrats in this power grab is the news media.
Once upon a time, a few papers and TV channels had a monopoly over the news. They could push whatever narrative they desired and consumers really had very little choice.
Those days are over. The consumer now has numerous news sources to draw from. The facts can no longer be suppressed. However, the undesired side effect of the news boom is consumers have volatile short-term memories.
They may remember minute details about a news broadcast when the Berlin Wall came down, but they may not recall any details about an explosive news story from the previous day.
This volatile memory often enables the powerful to incrementally commit violations. Each violation may seem insignificant on its own, but put together we see a trend.
When the state of affairs descends into chaos, the opposition has a function to beat the drums of warning to inform the citizens.
In addition to high inflation, surging gas prices, and the open border this authoritarian power grab should be a leading campaign issue.

Try to imagine a President doing a worse job than Joe Biden. Think about how that would even be possible. Would they have to set the White House on fire while vomiting on Boris Johnson? Maybe a President in a Nyquil-induced stupor trying to start a nuclear war with Canada? Jimmy Carter on his worst day couldn’t hold a candle Joe Biden on his best, provided Biden ends up having a best day.
Remember this one: “I’m gonna ask the public for 100 days to mask, just 100 days to mask. Not forever, 100 days. And I think we’ll see a significant reduction if we occur that, if, if, if, if that occurs with vaccinations and masking to drive down the numbers considerably, considerably”? That was Joe Biden 1 year ago Friday, part of his “plan” he swore he had to “shutdown the virus.” How’d that work out again?
Has there ever been a bigger disconnect between what a candidate for President promised and what they delivered? It’s not even that Biden tried and failed, it’s that the entire premise of his campaign was a lie. He had no plan, he had no clue. All he had was an objective and handlers determined to get him there, for their own reasons.
It’s unclear to me that Joe Biden ever wanted anything more than the trappings that go with being President of the United States – the house, the being waited on hand and foot, and most importantly to a career politician with wild insecurity and unrivaled narcissism like Joe, the guarantee of being remembered. Senators are forgotten, quickly, Presidents are remembered forever. Someone who loves themselves as much as Joe does, who desperately needs others to love him just as much, that matters.
There’s also the added bonus that former Democratic Party Presidents are showered with money after their term, often times by the industries they pretended to “fight” when they were running. And Joe Biden loves money. He made a bunch after his stint as Vice President on the prospect that he would run in 2020 (leftists hedge their bets and spread their money around). That’s, of course, in addition to the millions his family raked in through Hunter’s string of jobs and contracts for which he was wildly unqualified. Joe pretends he isn’t, but he’s all about the money.
But to get to the rewards of being a former Democrat President, those Presidents tend to want to accomplish some things; they usually believe in things. Joe Biden believes in nothing. His biggest, and really only accomplishment in the Senate was the 1994 crime bill and he had to denounce it because Democrats had gone from being against crime and supporting police to supporting criminals and wanting to defund police.
On abortion, Biden changed his tune completely as well. There isn’t a person serving his administration, either in the White House or the media, who won’t insist Joe labored between running for President or becoming Pope, such a devout Catholic is he. And in his time in the Senate he used to pretend to be personally against abortion, but refused to allow his religious beliefs to dictate his policy positions. It was and is BS, but many politicians play this game (looking at you, Nancy Pelosi).
Now, he’s no longer pretending. The party of “safe, legal, and rare” abortions is now the party of abortions for everyone, on demand, with no restrictions on when. It won’t be long, maybe 5 years, before they start advocating post-birth abortions, taxpayer funded, of course. That’s where Democrats are now, so that’s where Joe Biden is now. Biden is such a weathervane on everything, and always has been, that he’d perform abortions in the White House if that’s what the fringe of his party demanded.
With no moral code, no center, nothing matters. You just read what’s in the teleprompter and hit the sack by 7:00 while your degenerate son collects piles of cash for the family until you’re free to do it on your own. All you have to do is what you’re told, your handlers and the media will take care of the rest.
That Joe Biden hasn’t come close to fulfilling any campaign promises, or even that those promises were made, is a testament to what he was willing to do to get the job. Just imagine what he’s willing to do to keep it. Even scarier, just imagine how much worse things have the potential of getting as he works to do just that.

In one-party states such as the old PRI-ruled Mexico, the stealing tended to start late. Before a Mexican president was escorted out for the next, he and his would sweep the presidential palace for everything not nailed down -- the lightbulbs, the toilet seats, the doorknobs and more. There were exceptions, but it was generally the known narrative. In more than one Latin American country, the last-minute asset grab on the way out actually had a name -- "La Pinata." After all, as former PRI mayor of Mexico City, Carlos Hank Gonzalez, used to say: "A politician who's poor is a poor politician."
Which brings us to Joe Biden, and his family's unusually fast scramble to profit from his public office right out the gate.
Son Hunter still has his 10% China equity fund stake, contrary to what had been reported, and a new art gig just perfect for bringing in money from non-transparent sources, as the New York Post, in this excellent report notes, all because his blow-pipe 'art' done as his personal art therapy is somehow so very valuable.
Brother Frank, meanwhile, is advertising his connections to old Joe for Florida law firm he's connected with, using Joe's name in a bid to drum up business. As New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin reported:
The latest sordid example involves one of Joe’s younger brothers, Frank Biden, appearing in a Florida law firm’s ad — on Inauguration Day no less. The ad used the president’s name to draw attention to the Berman Law Group’s class-action suit against sugar cane growers.
“The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront,” says the ad. “The president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets.”
The ad, first reported by CNBC, appeared in the Daily Business Review and carried a picture of Frank Biden and quotes him saying, “My brother is a model for how to go about doing this work.”
How touching. And shameless.

And it seems to be having a knock-on effect as Vice President Kamala Harris's stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, an art student (which generally isn't the most employable of professions), has suddenly gotten a fancy modeling contract, to be a 'style icon,' which hadn't been her forte until the establishment noticed she was close to power. Now they're gushing about her, selling her as stylish as emperor's new clothes. Kamala Harris, meanwhile, might just owe someone a favor.
It's happening, Goodwin observes, because the Bidens have been doing it for decades, and never with any consequences. Now that Joe's 'the big guy' and not a mere vice president, for them it's all the better.
Which is true enough as far as it goes, but still doesn't entirely explain the speed of the influence-peddling and pocket-lining -- why, contrary to the Mexican and Latin American model -- did the rush to grab money start on day one?
With these questionable acts starting early -- despite Joe's call to brother Frank to 'watch yourself,' what seems a distinct possibility is that the family members think the gig is not going to last so the time to act is now.
Maybe they're betting Joe isn't going to last for one reason or another. That might explain why they are rushing to scarf up all they can without covering their tracks. They're like fund managers divesting a stock --- quickly, and all at once. Fund managers buy stocks quietly and gradually on expectations the price will go up, but when they think it's heading down, they don't play around, they dump it all at once and don't care who's watching.
That kind of desperation seems to be evident in House Biden's quick bid to cash in all at once, too. Do they know something we don't? Do they expect their window of opportunity will be short? How is it they can jump up so fast to cash in, even against warnings from Joe, who after all, assured the voters last fall with this malarkey:
“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, with inappropriate distance from the presidency and government,” he said.
Even with the spotlight on, for them, it's as if the walls are closing in and Gotterdammerung is beckoning. If that's not a vote of low confidence in the durability of Joe and his presidency, what really is?

President Joe Biden cautioned his brother Frank about potential business dealings during his campaign for president, according to a report.
“For Christ’s sake, watch yourself,” Biden said according to a report in Politico. “Don’t get sucked into something that would, first of all, hurt you.”
Politico cited a “person with knowledge of the conversation” in its report and said that Biden was “jocular and serious” in his comment to his brother.
Biden’s intention, Politico reports, was to protect his brother from “being hurt and vilified” because of his connections to the president.
Since Biden’s inauguration, questions about members of his family have been raised regarding their business dealings, especially after Republicans questioned his son Hunter Biden’s business deals with foreign countries during the campaign.
Frank Biden’s law firm, The Berman Law Group, promoted his relationship to President Biden in an advertisement on Inauguration Day.
“The two Biden brothers have long held a commitment to pushing environmental issues to the forefront; the president-elect has vowed to rejoin the Paris Agreement and wants to set ambitious greenhouse gas reduction targets, for example,” the ad read.
A White House official responded to the story by warning that Joe Biden’s name should not be used in any commercial advertisement.

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Republican J.D. Vance, running for Ohio’s open United States Senate seat, blasted his opponent Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) by saying his “kill and confront” MAGA was just another attempt from the left to engage in political violence.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News the weekend before last, Vance blasted Ryan’s “kill and confront” MAGA comments and doubled down on his “extreme rhetoric” as just another attempt from the left to engage in political violence, after a debate this month where Ryan included Vance in a group of people he labeled as “extremists.”
The interview took place in Chillicothe, roughly 100 miles outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, while the Buckeye State Republican was making a swing through the southeast part of the state to channel his Appalachian roots with two weeks left in the race.

Vance told Breitbart News that if any Republican had attempted to make the same comments as Ryan did — such as wanting to “kill and confront” the far left or “kill and confront” the radical Democrats — “it would be around-the-clock national news” and “every single media figure would accuse you of inciting murder against Democratic leadership.”
The Buckeye State Republican explained that “it’s more of a commentary on the media” because Ryan has said “a lot of stupid stuff” over his last 20 years in Washington, DC, but “that the media won’t call him out on some pretty extreme rhetoric, and I do think some pretty extreme dangerous rhetoric.”

“I think that it’s irresponsible for Tim Ryan to use that rhetoric when his side is engaged in political violence,” he added.
Vance, when discussing the violence that happened during the riots throughout 2020, said, “What happened over the summer of 2020, where the media and major political figures actively encouraged looting, rioting, burning down of cities, is a far bigger threat to democracy than anything that’s happened since.”
“We’re talking about 26 people dead, tens of billions of dollars of property damage, entire communities are effectively destroyed, and it’s taken them years to recover, and the media and the Democrats egged it on,” he explained. “For them to come back and say I’m a threat to democracy because I think that people have a right to a speedy jury trial…It’s the craziest and most ridiculous accusation.”
Vance also spoke to Breitbart News about the need for a new Congress to reverse federal immigration laws that allow multinational corporations to replace American professionals — often in high-paying STEM jobs — with cheaper foreign workers on the H-1B visa program.

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Republican J.D. Vance, running against Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) for the state’s open United States Senate seat, says the U.S. must “protect” American single-family homes and farmland from foreign investors like China and billionaires such as Bill Gates.
“The Founding Fathers recognize that to have a constitutional republic, we needed a nation of owners, not a nation of renters, and there is this large-scale effort to turn the American people into a permanent renter class,” Vance told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.
The interview took place over lunch after Vance’s second campaign stop last Saturday in Chillicothe — roughly 100 miles outside of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Buckeye State Republican was making a swing through the southeast part of the state to channel his Appalachian roots with two weeks left in the race. Throughout the day, Vance made multiple stops starting in the village of Gallipolis, a stone’s throw from West Virginia and ending 40 miles east of Cincinnati.
Vance told Breitbart News that forcing Americans into a permanent renter class rather than making home ownership easier is a “huge mistake.” Vance emphasized that single-family homes and farmland need to be protected from China-linked investors, Wall Street firms like BlackRock, and billionaires such as Bill Gates — the largest private owner of U.S. farmland.
“BlackRock is going around and buying billions of dollars of American single-family homes,” Vance added. “That’s a problem whether Blackrock is getting the money from the Chinese or somewhere else. The issue is you want Americans to be able to buy those homes and actually own a stake.”
Specifically, Vance told Breitbart News he would co-sponsor Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AK) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) legislation that bans China and China-linked firms from buying land anywhere in the U.S.
Vance said he would like to see the legislation expanded to include restrictions on how many acres of land one particular Wall Street firm, corporation, or billionaire can purchase.
On the other hand, Ryan voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act without raising concerns about farming provisions that do nothing to protect American farmland from continuing incursions from China. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) proposed an amendment to ban China from buying American farmland, but the measure was blocked by Senate Democrats.
Analysis from 2019 shows that about half a million acres of farmland in Ohio are owned by foreign investors — primarily from China, Germany, and the Netherlands. Bill Gates alone now owns nearly 250,000 acres across 19 states, including nearly 9,000 acres in Ohio.
In 2021, Chinese investors were allowed to buy $6.1 billion worth of homes and land across the U.S. Most recently, a Chinese firm bought 300 acres of farmland in North Dakota that sits just 20 minutes from a U.S. Air Force Base.
The latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) figure reveals that Chinese investors’ holdings of U.S. farmland skyrocketed from 13,720 acres in 2010 to 352,140 acres in 2020. China Working To Undermine Midterm Elections, Cybersecurity Group Says
China, Russia, Iran sowing dissent ahead of midterm elections
Communist China is behind a massive online disinformation campaign aimed at undermining the upcoming U.S. midterm elections, according to findings by a cybersecurity group.
China is using a network of social media accounts and altered news articles to "sow division both between the U.S. and its allies and within the U.S. political system itself," according to a threat assessment by Mandiant, a cybersecurity and intelligence organization that works with governments and the public sector. China’s latest efforts to undermine the American democratic process come amid parallel attempts by Russia and Iran to interfere with the upcoming elections.
The CCP influence operation, dubbed Dragonbridge, is attracting concern in the cybersecurity sector for its "aggressive attempts to discredit the U.S. democratic process, including attempts to discourage Americans from voting in the 2022 U.S. midterm elections," according to Mandiant’s research. The organization assesses "with high confidence" that the online campaign is "operating in support of the political interests of the People’s Republic of China."
Efforts by foreign actors to meddle in the upcoming elections have fueled concerns among federal authorities, including the FBI, which recently warned that an Iranian government-backed hacking collective is working to target U.S. entities. Russia also "is working to amplify doubts about the integrity of U.S. elections" as voters head to the polls next week, according to the Associated Press.
The CCP’s Dragonbridge operation has similar hallmarks to those of other foreign actors, according to Mandiant. Dragonbridge, through a network of online social media accounts that obfuscate their true identity, is promoting "narratives that appeared intended to discredit and undermine the U.S. political system."
In September, for instance, Dragonbridge-affiliated accounts posted an English-language video on online platforms that included "content attempting to discourage Americans from voting in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections." Like the efforts helmed by Russia and Iran, China wants to sow doubts about "the efficacy of voting and of U.S. government institutions more broadly," according to Mandiant.
The video, portions of which were captured by Mandiant, claimed "the solution to America's ills is not to vote for someone," but to "root out this ineffective and incapacitated system"—a narrative that mirrors those promoted by U.S.-based radical groups on the left and right.
Chinese operators also promoted rhetoric meant to divide Americans and reinforce the impression that the country is irrevocably broken.
Dragonbridge content collected by Mandiant promotes the narrative "that political infighting, partisanship, polarization, and division had become fundamental aspects of American democracy. The campaign also pointed to frequent mentions of ‘civil war’ on social media and incidents of politically motivated violence, including confrontations between individuals supporting opposing parties and acts against the FBI, as evidence of the deterioration of the political process and its impending demise."
The group also has been observed altering actual news articles and pushing content that appears to be legitimate but is actually the product of CCP manipulation.
Throughout the 2022 election cycle, the CCP-orchestrated campaign has exhibited "aggressiveness through both the content of its narratives and its willingness to experiment with new tactics to accomplish its aims," according to Mandiant. This includes attempts to mobilize American protesters to take to the streets and potentially commit violent acts.
"Such persistence, combined with clear intent and scale, renders the campaign a priority for monitoring," the security group warned.
John Hultquist, head of threat intelligence for Mandiant, said in a statement that while Russia and Iran are more aggressive in their efforts to undermine U.S. elections, "what’s troubling [about the CCP groups is] their aggressive growth."
A Chinese Influence Operation Promoted an Anti-Trump PAC for the Midterms
A Bay Area post office box and a shadowy online war.
In May 2022, Mary Trump tweeted, “Hundreds of voter subversion laws are only a governor’s signature away from going into effect. Please join the Democracy Defense Fund in supporting these gubernatorial candidates who are committed to protecting our #VotingRights.”
Mary Trump, the former president’s niece, has become an anti-Trump figure specializing in deranged rhetoric like calling him “mass murderer criminal Donald Trump”. DDF is a PAC that is intervening in races across the country, including in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Ohio.
The Democracy Defense Fund, a nationwide PAC, was supposedly created by Mary Trump, who has no apparent background or ability to create or manage such an organization. After an extensive search, I was unable to locate any other employees or personnel involved with it.
Who’s really behind DDF which claims to have a nationwide reach for the midterms?
Aside from Mary’s name out front, the DDF PAC has been a black box. The site only mentions her name and no other employees, advisers or board members. And yet DDF has sent out fundraising emails urging donations to Stacey Abrams, Beto O’Rourke and Raphael Warnock. It bombarded mailboxes with a plea from Mandela Barnes, running against Senator Ron Johnson: something that the Democrat Senate candidate and DDF could do because it’s a hybrid PAC.
The only address listed by DDF is a post office box at a Bay Area post office. But this particular post office is also used by the Hold the House PAC fronted by former Democratic Rep. Mike Honda and run by a Silicon Valley strategy firm. The former congressman was a controversial figure who was accused of a pay-to-play scheme with donors.
An Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) report stated that there is “substantial reason to believe … Honda improperly tied official activities to past or potential political support.”
Honda’s “1,000 Cranes” list served as an index of special favors that appeared to be performed for top donors. And Honda was one of the politicians targeted by Fang Fang, a Chinese spy. Honda can be seen posing with the foreign agent at the Chinese Embassy in D.C.
The existing questions about who is really behind the Democracy Defense Fund took on a new urgency with the release of the Dragonbridge or the Spamouflage Dragon influence operation running out of China. The latest Chinese operation in which operatives pretended to be Americans made waves because for the first time they appeared to be directly interfering in an election by adopting American personas and promoting American political organizations.
While the Chinese Communist operatives pretended to be Americans from across the spectrum, the Left and the Right, one tweet was notable. It read, “Hundreds of voter subversion laws are only a governor’s signature away from going into effect. Please join the Democracy Defense Fund in supporting these gubernatorial candidates.”
Dragonbridge was amplifying Mary Trump’s tweet and promoting the Democracy Defense Fund. There is no record of the Chinese influence operation promoting any other PACs.
DDF claims that “our democracy is in danger”, but it’s being promoted by one of the world’s most brutal totalitarian dictatorships which is at war with the United States. It alleges that Republicans are “planning the next coup”, but DDF’s amplification by Communist China raises questions about where the real backing for the next coup is coming from.
The account in question has since been suspended but it raises troubling questions about not only Communist China’s involvement in the midterms, but its support for a Democrat PAC.
And it makes it more urgent than ever to answer the question of who’s really behind DDF.
While the Democracy Defense Fund seeks to intervene in battleground elections, its only listed address is in the Bay Area. That is also where China’s espionage and influence operations are strongest. It’s also the wellspring of money pouring into American elections.
California is the only state where the PRC’s Ministry of State Security has a unit. Chinese operatives were able to recruit a staff member working for Senator Dianne Feinstein. Fang Fang pursued primarily California Democrats like Rep. Eric Swalwell and Rep. Ro Khanna.
Chinese-owned firms have already been caught donating to PACs. Others, like Huawei, TikTok and Hikvision have invested a fortune in lobbying Congress. But beyond the millions of dollars being spent by companies with links to the Communist Party, and with lobbyists formally registered as foreign agents, there is a hidden underworld of spies and political operatives.
It may be entirely a coincidence that a Chinese influence operation promoted a Democrat PAC, just a question of random algorithms and 50-cent party ignorance, but it is dangerous to assume that China has no interest in our political system and no plans for calculatedly disrupting it.
The Biden administration and the Democrats have dismantled many of the safeguards and preventative measures put into place to deter China by the Trump administration.
The destruction of the China Initiative by the Biden administration in particular has given the Communist enemy regime a green light to resume its mass theft of our technologies and secrets. Would Beijing like this state of affairs to continue? The answer is all too obvious.
A shadowy PAC with a post office box is out to influence midterm elections in Georgia, Ohio and Pennsylvania among other places. An even more shadowy Chinese influence operation has promoted it. While the media has eagerly talked up Mary Trump, it’s shown no interest in the question of who is behind the Democracy Defense Fund. That lack of accountability is a cloak under which foreign interests and enemy states can operate safely while knowing that they won’t be exposed. The media would rather attack Republicans than defend America.
And Communist China knows it.
Who is behind the Democracy Defense Fund? The answer likely lurks in the Bay Area, but who is to say that it may not have an echo thousands of miles away in the corridors of Beijing?

Antony Blinken Checks in with Chinese Foreign Minister for Routine Scolding
Secretary of State Antony Blinken held a phone conversation with his Chinese counterpart Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday in which the latter chided Blinken to “stop trying to put up new obstacles to bilateral relations.”
The State Department readout of the call, published on Sunday (the call appears to have taken place on Monday Beijing time), does not mention anything that Wang said, instead focusing on Blinken, who allegedly “raised Russia’s war against Ukraine” and the “security situation in Haiti.” The Chinese Foreign Ministry and the government, through state propaganda outlet Global Times, offered much more specificity, depicting a frustrated Wang hectoring Blinken to urge the administration of left-wing President Joe Biden to stop trying “to contain and suppress China.”
The tone echoed that of multiple past encounters between the two, as well as discussions held between Blinken and other Chinese Communist Party envoys, in which aggressive Chinese representatives badgered Blinken over his government not acting sufficiently in the best interests of China. The pattern began after a disastrous meeting between Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Wang and senior Politburo member Yang Jiechi in Alaska last year during which Yang ranted for 16 minutes about alleged racism and “Black Lives Matter” in America.
“On human rights, we hope the United States will do better on human rights. China has made steady progress in human rights, and the fact is that there are many problems within the United States regarding human rights, which is admitted by the U.S. itself as well,” Yang protested in Alaska. “The challenges facing the United States in human rights are deep-seated. They did not just emerge over the past four years, such as ‘Black Lives Matter.’ It did not come up only recently.”
The Biden representatives notably did not mention the fact that China is currently engaging in genocide against majority-Muslims groups in occupied East Turkistan, among other Communist Party atrocities.

According to the State Department, Blinken “discussed the need to maintain open lines of communication and responsibly manage the U.S.-PRC [China] relationship” with Wang, adding no more detail on what would presumably be the most important issue between the top diplomats of the U.S. and the People’s Republic of China.
“The Secretary raised Russia’s war against Ukraine and the threats it poses to global security and economic stability,” the readout continued. “The Secretary also noted the deteriorating humanitarian and security situation in Haiti and the need for continued coordinated action in support of the Haitian people.”
In contrast, the Chinese Foreign Ministry depicted a fuming Wang berating Blinken on American foreign policy.
“The US side should stop its efforts to contain and suppress China, and not create new obstacles to the relationship between the two countries,” the ministry paraphrased Wang as saying. “Wang Yi pointed out that bringing China-US relations back to the track of stable development is not only in the common interests of China and the US, but also the general expectation of the international community.”
The Global Times claimed that Wang spent much of the call pressuring Blinken to closely study the 2022 Communist Party Congress, which concluded last month and cemented dictator Xi Jinping’s stranglehold on power. The Congress, which occurs every five years, determines who remains or gets promoted to the Politburo, the highest authority in the Party. This year, Xi removed several top officials on the basis of their advanced age, replacing them with a host of loyalists that are unlikely to question controversial policies such as an endless wave of city lockdowns to fight Chinese coronavirus.
The Congress was also the site of a bizarre scene in which elderly former President Hu Jintao, who preceded Xi Jinping in power, appeared to be hauled off violently by security while pleading with Xi for mercy. Hu has not been seen in public since his apparent purge was caught on camera.
Wang, the Global Times said, essentially assigned Blinken to read Xi Jinping’s report to the Congress as homework.
“If the US truly wants to know about China, it should carefully read the report, Wang said, noting that China’s domestic and diplomatic policies are open and transparent and its strategic intention is frank and forthright,” the state newspaper relayed, “and the US should not make subjective conjectures, nor be blinded by its ideological prejudice.”
It also repeated Wang’s lecture on respecting the genocidal communist Chinese government.
“When talking with Blinken, Wang pointed out that bringing bilateral relation back on track is not only in accordance with the two countries’ mutual interests, but also what the international community expects,” the Global Times reported. “The US should stop cracking down on China, and also stop trying to put up new obstacles to bilateral relations, Wang urged.”
The state newspaper nonetheless described the phone call as “positive” and potentially an avenue for future high-level talks, including a possible meeting between Biden and Xi. Biden and Xi are both expected to attend the G20 summit in Indonesia this month, but have not made any official announcements on meeting. As of Monday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry denied having any information on a potential in-person discussion between the two leaders.
The G20 is expected to be an explosive meeting this year due to its invite list, which not only includes Biden and Xi but both Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose nations are currently at war. Biden has publicly demanded Indonesia disinvite Putin to no avail.
Also expected to attend is Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whose relationship with Biden is arguably the world’s most deteriorated. The White House has denied any plans for Biden to meet with the crown prince amid a growing diplomatic crisis triggered by Washington accusing Riyadh of supporting OPEC oil production cuts to support Putin. The Saudi government has reacted to the accusation with outrage and received support from Zelensky. Saudi officials have also taken Biden’s strident stance as an indication to enhance diplomatic ties with China.
At least year’s G20 summit, Blinken and Wang repeated their regular scolding sessions on the issue of Taiwan, which did not reportedly come up during this week’s call. Taiwan is a sovereign, democratic nation off the coast of China that has long sought relations with America. Beijing falsely claims Taiwan as a province of China and regularly pressures America to cut economic and strategic ties with Taipei, even though Washington does not recognize Taiwan as a country.
“We urge the United States to realize the serious harm of the ‘Taiwan independence,’ to pursue a real one-China policy, instead of a fake one, to fulfill its commitments to China faithfully rather than treacherously,” Wang demanded last year.
Wang also complained about specific legislation in the American Congress at the time, meddling in domestic affairs.
“The United States has wantonly interfered with China’s internal affairs, Wang stressed, noting that the current U.S. Congress has introduced more than 300 anti-China bills,” Xinhua reported, “and the United States has included more than 900 Chinese entities and individuals in various unilateral sanctions lists, which severely disrupted the normal bilateral exchanges.”

The man now widely believed to be Peng Lifa reportedly disguised himself as a construction worker to get atop Beijing’s Sitong Bridge and hang up two banners — one reading, “No PCR tests, but food; no lockdowns, but freedom; no lies, but respect; no Cultural Revolution, but reform; no dictator, but vote; no [to being] slaves, but we the people” and another reading “students strike — workers strike — people strike — dictator traitor Xi Jinping.”
Elderly Chinese Ex-President Hu Jintao Hauled Out of Communist Event as Xi Jinping Watches
The Chinese Communist Party Congress, an event occurring every five years to appoint Party leaders and determine future priorities, ended with a dramatic climax on Saturday in which two officers appeared to manhandle and expel 79-year-old former President Hu Jintao from his seat, clearly against his will.
Hu served as president and chairman of the Communist Party prior to current dictator Xi Jinping, who assumed an unprecedented third term at the helm of the country on Saturday following a vote by the communist elite. The vote occurred shortly after the very physical removal of an apparently frail Hu, who was seated less than one foot from Xi and appeared to plead for the dictator to intervene and prevent his expulsion, to no avail.
Hu’s tenure was largely marked by his failure to assert himself as national dictator or a major influential personality in the Party, even as leader. It is also notable in that it ended voluntarily, after Hu chose to step down and allow then-Vice President Xi to take over in 2013. At the time, Xi applauded him for his “deep consideration toward the development of the Party, the country and military” and “noble character” in resigning.
Video captured by Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Saturday morning Beijing time showed two men abruptly approach Hu, who had not behaved in any apparent disruptive way prior to the incident, and take away his official paperwork. The men then begin grabbing Hu under his arms and dragging him away. Hu appears to try to take Xi’s papers, as the dictator is seated beside him, but Xi holds his papers down. Xi and Premier Li Keqiang, seated next to Xi, appear to calmly nod in Hu’s direction as he is dragged away wearing an expression of fear.
Adding to the intrigue is an apparent attempt by Party official Li Zhanshu, seated on the other side of Hu, to stand up and help him as the men begin grabbing him, but Xi ally Wang Huning grabs his arm and discourages him from intervening.
The men dragging Hu away do not appear to be mere security guards, as they are wearing Party name tags. Online observers identified one of the men as a top Communist Party official, Kong Shaoxun.
The Communist Party has not yet, at press time, explained what happened to necessitate Hu’s removal, which many international observers have described as shocking and humiliating for the elderly former president. Adding to suspicions that he may have been preparing to vote against a third term for Xi as chairman of the Party is the fact that the Chinese government moved rapidly to censor any mentions of Hu or the incident at the Party congress on Weibo, the state-controlled social media site.
“Search results for ‘Hu Jintao’ on China’s Twitter-like platform Weibo appeared to be heavily censored Saturday afternoon, with the most recent result dated Friday and posts limited to those of official accounts,” AFP observed.
The state-run propaganda outlet Global Times published an extensive, glowing report on Saturday’s Congress session that entirely omitted any mention of Hu Jintao, focusing instead on Xi’s supremacy within the Party.
“The week-long 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) successfully concluded on Saturday in Beijing, and it noted that the establishment of Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole,” the Global Times reported, “and the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has set the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on ‘an irreversible historical course.'”
The newspaper did not note that any single member of the Party objected to Xi’s permanence in power, claiming that his “re-election” “required all Party members to acquire a deep understanding of the decisive significance of this major achievement, more conscientiously uphold Comrade Xi Jinping’s core position … and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership.”
No Communist Party Congress coverage in the Global Times mentioned Hu at all this week, despite his presence at the opening event along with a host of other retired officials.
The Xinhua News Agency, another official Chinese government outlet, published photos from Saturday of Hu seated alongside Xi Jinping. It also published an explanation of the events on Twitter – a social media outlet Chinese citizens who are not high-ranking Party officials cannot access.
Xinhua claimed that Hu “insisted on attending the closing session” despite needing to “recuperate” and that he “was not feeling well” when two men violently ousted him from the event.
“Now he is much better,” the government mouthpiece claimed.
Foreign Policy‘s James Palmer observed that Hu is nearly the last of his cohort in the Party, as Xi Jinping’s routine purges of those he does not consider loyalists have imprisoned or otherwise silenced nearly all of Hu’s allies.
“Many of his former allies have been arrested in Xi’s purges, most notably his chief aide Ling Jihua in 2015,” Palmer wrote. “Hu was associated with a power network of former leaders, like himself, of the Communist Youth League; that faction appears to have been effectively destroyed.”
He speculated that a variety of possibilities could have resulted in the strange incident – from Hu indeed suffering a health incident or a dementia-fueled episode to the chance that “information suddenly came up that made Xi — who would have had to personally approve any such move — afraid that Hu might abstain or even vote against him in the rounds of otherwise unanimous voting that finished off the Party Congress.”
“That could have been a remark by Hu to his former colleagues backstage or perhaps even signs of dementia that caused a sudden panic that something might go wrong. That would make Hu’s confusion understandable,” Palmer mused.
Yet prior incidents of elderly Party members embarrassing themselves, or Xi, have occurred largely without punishment. During the last Party Congress in 2017, Jiang Zemin, the president who preceded Hu, spent most of Xi Jinping’s three-hour speech yawning, sleeping, checking his watch, and reading, clear signs of disrespect. Jiang was 91 at the time and became a sensation on Chinese regime-controlled social media outlets with only minimal censorship.
Currently 96, Jiang did not attend this year’s Congress, though few questioned his absence.
