Poll: One-Third of Biden 2020 Voters Say He Should Not Run Again
Roughly one-third of President Biden’s 2020 voters do not believe he should run again in 2024, a recent Yahoo!News/YouGov survey found.
The survey asked respondents, “Should President Biden run for president again in 2024?”’
Most, 55 percent, said “no,” he should not run in 2024. Just one-quarter said “yes,” Biden should run, and another 20 percent remain unsure.
Notably, less than a majority of Democrats, 48 percent, said he should run again, but 29 percent said he should not. Perhaps more significant is the fact that nearly one-third of Biden 2020 voters, 32 percent, said he should not run again in 2024. Just 43 percent said he should.

Further, 66 percent of independents said Biden should not run for president again as the president garners the support of just 14 percent of independents who believe he should run for a second term.
The survey was taken December 15-29, 2022, among 1,555 U.S. adults.

Biden has indicated that he intends to run again in 2024, setting him up for a potential match with former President Donald Trump, who formally announced his presidential bid in November.
“This is what we call a National Greatness Agenda, because our country can be greater than it’s ever been,” Trump said during the Mar-a-Lago speech.
“Our country is not great anymore. It’s a mess. But our country can be greater than it ever was before. There will be more, much more in the months ahead—and there are so many things we need to do,” he continued, warning that “the road ahead of us will not be easy.”
According to reports, first lady Jill Biden reportedly told French President Emmanuel Macron at a recent state dinner that she and Biden are ready to begin the reelection campaign, although no formal announcement has been made.
“I have not made that formal decision, but it’s my intention, my intention to run again, and we have time to make that decision,” Biden said during an October interview with MSNBC.

During this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking Republican on the House Oversight Committee, discussed what he alleged was “influence peddling” by President Joe Biden’s family with America’s adversaries.
According to Comer, those actions threatened U.S. national security.
“This is an investigation of Joe Biden because we believe that the family’s influence peddling is a national security risk,” Comer said. “And when you look at national security, and you look at the evidence on the laptop, energy policy is national security. And the most concerning part of the business deal, so to say, so to speak, that the Biden family was involved in was trying to help China get their foot in the door on the American energy industry.”
“So, part of what the deal was that Joe Biden was going to be involved in was trying to help China purchase drillers in the natural gas industry,” he continued. “People are outraged over China buying farmland in the Dakotas. Think about China buying into our American energy industry at the help of the Biden family. And then you look at all these crazy policies coming out of the Biden administration with respect to energy policy that are affecting every American in a negative way, and you think maybe he is compromised.”

Biden ‘Determined’ to Hide Coronavirus Origins, Expert Says
The Biden administration "is determined not to let us know" about the origins of the coronavirus and its possible leak from a U.S.-funded lab in China, according to a leading regional expert.
Gordon Chang, a veteran China analyst, said in an interview with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R., Tenn.) published Wednesday that "it could take years" for Americans to learn the full extent of China’s role in leaking the coronavirus that caused a global shutdown and millions of deaths.
"Unfortunately, the Biden administration is determined not to let us know" what exactly Dr. Anthony Fauci's National Institutes of Health was funding in China, Chang told Blackburn. "I think it's because Dr. Anthony Fauci purposefully evaded the 2014 ban on federal funding of gain of function research," a scientific process in which a virus is made even more deadly so researchers can study it. This practice is banned in the United States for being too dangerous. "So, what [Fauci] did is he funded it in China, specifically at Wuhan Institute of Virology."
"Eventually the American people will get the truth, but it could take years," Chang said, pointing to efforts by the Biden administration to downplay American funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Chinese lab at the center of the COVID leak. The exact nature of America's role in supporting this research still remains unclear, and Chang believes this is due to the Biden administration's efforts to shield Fauci from criticism.
Fauci, Chang added, likely perjured himself before Congress when he claimed that his agency was not funding so-called gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
"So, either [Fauci] didn't know what his institute was doing, or he committed perjury twice last year," Chang said, referring to Fauci’s denial before the Senate that the NIH was engaged in funding gain of function research in China. "I'm of the view that he had to know what was going on for various reasons, and therefore, he did commit perjury. And the Department of Justice doesn't seem to care."
Chang’s comments are bolstered by a Senate Republican report that determined a lab leak is the most likely explanation for the pandemic. U.S. funding for the Wuhan Institute has become a lightning rod in Congress and among watchdog groups that are pushing lawmakers to stop funding foreign labs like the one in China. A coalition of organizations on Monday pressed the House and Senate appropriations committees to deny further funding for these foreign labs, which also are based in Russia and other countries unfriendly to the United States.
Chang also criticized the Biden administration for its muted response to a wave of protests in China centered on the Communist regime’s draconian coronavirus restrictions. The administration has remained largely silent as Chinese citizens rise up against their oppressive government.
The response from the Biden administration to these protests "was really dispiriting," Chang told Blackburn. "If the United States isn't going to stand up for freedom and democracy, nobody will. But also, people notice this around the world, not just in China, [and] there's a national security implication to this."

Biden’s Energy Department Funnels Millions to Beijing-Backed Green Energy Company
LanzaTech rakes in taxpayer funds despite tight relationship with China-run energy giant Sinopec
President Joe Biden's Energy Department funneled millions of dollars to a green energy company in the months after the company partnered with a Chinese state-owned entity that it acknowledges could face business-crippling sanctions.
Carbon capture company LanzaTech, federal spending disclosures show, has received more than $10 million in grant payments from the Biden administration since April 2021, when the company announced a partnership with Sinopec Capital—the clean energy investment arm of the Sinopec Group, a Chinese state-owned oil conglomerate also known as the China Petrochemical Corporation—to "debut an international market of new energy and new materials." LanzaTech has acknowledged in SEC disclosures that its association with Sinopec, which China has used to purchase oil from U.S.-sanctioned nations such as Russia and Iran, could jeopardize its bottom line. The company's financial interactions with Sinopec and other Beijing-run entities, LanzaTech wrote in a November filing, could bring "complications" and "restrictions" should the United States or other nations implement "sanctions on certain Chinese individuals." That filing also notes "that the Chinese government may intervene or influence our operations at any time" and that LanzaTech may be unable to "protect our interests" in Chinese joint ventures "by nominating a non-Chinese director to the board of directors of any such joint venture." Sinopec Capital managing director Bo Ren, who worked for CITIC's brokerage arm prior to joining Sinopec and who graduated from a Chinese university that sits on a U.S. trade blacklist for stealing American trade secrets, is a LanzaTech board member.
Biden has placed green energy at the center of his administration's priorities, with the Democrat working to invest billions of dollars in "America's clean energy economy" to create "good-paying jobs" in the United States. However, China's dominance of the clean energy supply chain challenges that priority. In addition to LanzaTech, Biden's Energy Department has touted a $200 million grant to lithium battery company Microvast Holdings, which the department said would "supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is America-made." Microvast operates primarily out of China and was recently added to a Securities and Exchange Commission watchlist of Chinese companies that have failed to comply with American auditing requirements, the Washington Free Beacon reported Tuesday.
LanzaTech's partnership with Sinopec was not the first time the company aligned itself with a Beijing-run entity. In June 2018, LanzaTech entered into a joint venture with Chinese state-owned steel giant Shougang Group to build an ethanol plant in China's Hubei province, one of the company's three plants in the communist nation. LanzaTech has also raised millions from CITIC Capital, a subsidiary of China's largest state-run conglomerate. Still, the company's relationships with Beijing did not stop the Biden administration from sending LanzaTech millions of dollars for green energy projects such as "low-cost sustainable aviation fuel."
For Arkansas Republican senator Tom Cotton, Biden's support for companies such as LanzaTech shows that the Democrat's "green energy agenda is stamped with the words ‘made in China.'"
"Instead of handing millions of taxpayer dollars to a Chinese-backed company, the president should be encouraging American energy production and American energy independence," Cotton told the Free Beacon.
Neither the White House nor LanzaTech returned requests for comment. The Energy Department told the Free Beacon that it "makes financial assistance awards on a competitive basis and follows a rigorous merit review process using independent technical experts" and "requires that DOE-funded inventions be substantially manufactured in the United States." The department did not return a follow-up request for comment on its payments to LanzaTech following the company's Sinopec partnership.
LanzaTech has political connections to top Democrats. One of the company's most influential financiers, billionaire venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, led then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's India policy team in 2008 and went on to host a $32,400-a-head Democratic Party fundraiser at his California mansion, which Obama personally attended. Obama's former deputy chief of staff and campaign manager Jim Messina, meanwhile, joined LanzaTech's board in 2013. LanzaTech received tens of millions of dollars in Energy Department grants during Obama's time as president, some of which carried over to the Trump administration, which awarded the company less than $3 million in new grants prior to its Sinopec deal. In September 2022 company CEO Jennifer Holmgren accepted a White House invite to brief Biden administration officials and members of Congress "on the progress LanzaTech has made in leveraging biotechnology and biomanufacturing for a safe, secure, and sustainable U.S. bioeconomy."
Beyond LanzaTech, the Biden administration has already faced criticism for its dealings with Sinopec. Biden's Energy Department in April announced the sale of nearly one million Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to the Chinese state-controlled gas giant's trading arm, Unipec, a move the administration said would "support American consumers" and "combat Putin's price hike." But the sale—which helped drain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to its lowest level in more than four decades—came as Unipec underwent an "unusual buying spree" aimed at boosting China's own oil reserves. It also came as China used Sinopec and its state-run affiliates to strengthen the nation's energy relationship with Russia and Iran. The sale prompted congressional Republicans to open a formal investigation into the Biden administration.
Biden is now facing similar probes over his green energy grants. Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.), the ranking member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, on Dec. 7 launched an inquiry into the administration's Microvast grant. That grant "endangers our national security" and "undermine[s] the United States' position in its race against China for technological supremacy," Barrasso said in a letter to Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. Former energy secretary Rick Perry also called for congressional investigations into Granholm for the grant, which he called "unacceptable."
Chinese Hackers Stole Millions From US COVID Relief Benefits, Secret Service Reports
Hackers with ties to the Chinese government stole at least $20 million from U.S. taxpayer-funded COVID-19 relief benefits in more than a dozen states, the Secret Service reports.
The hacking group APT41, known as "the ‘workhorse' of cyberespionage operations that benefit the Chinese government," looted pandemic-related Small Business Administration loans and unemployment insurance funds, NBC News reported Monday. The theft is the U.S. government's first publicly acknowledged incident of pandemic fraud linked to foreign, state-sponsored cybercriminals.
The Secret Service considers APT41 a "Chinese state-sponsored, cyberthreat group that is highly adept at conducting espionage missions and financial crimes for personal gain." It is unclear if the Chinese Communist Party directed the hackers' attack on U.S. taxpayer funds, but APT41's targeting of government money—a move cybersecurity analysts have never seen before—is a "dangerous" and "serious" threat to U.S. national security, intelligence and cybersecurity officials told NBC News:
The experts and officials describe the Chinese model of "state-sponsored" hackers as a network of semi-independent groups conducting contract work in service of government espionage. … APT41, also known to cybersecurity firms as Winnti, Barium, and Wicked Panda, fits the model and is considered a particularly prolific Chinese intelligence asset, known to commit financial crimes on the side. …
The primary purpose of APT41's state-directed activity, the experts and officials say, is believed to be collecting personally identifying information and data about American citizens, institutions, and businesses that can be used by China for espionage purposes.
The U.S. government’s implementation of COVID relief programs was already rife with fraud, with millions of dollars sent to ineligible businesses and organizations. Of the $872.5 billion in federal pandemic unemployment funds, roughly 20 percent were improper payments, the Department of Labor reported. The Labor Department overpaid unemployment benefits by more than $350 billion between April 2020 and May 2021, a Heritage Foundation analysis estimates.
In its COVID fraud scheme, APT41 hacked 2,000 accounts connected to more than 40,000 financial transactions.
APT41 has "the patience, the sophistication, and the resources to carry out hacking that has a direct impact on national security," a former Justice Department official familiar with the group told NBC.
China has prioritized cyberespionage for years to strengthen its position in international politics, said Ambassador Nathaniel Fick, the head of the State Department's Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy.
"The United States is target No. 1, because we are competitor No. 1," Fick told NBC News. "It's a really comprehensive, multi-decade, well-considered, well-resourced, well-planned, well-executed strategy."

Republican Babes-in-the-Woods Will Soon Meet the Democrat Realpolitik
When they take control of the House, Republicans have said that they will investigate Joe Biden.
Democrats will not sit still for this and are already preparing to attack any investigations and any Republicans who are involved.
Republicans have made no secret of the fact that in the new Congress, they are planning to use their oversight powers to launch investigations of the Biden clan’s finances, the fiasco at the southern border, and the politicization DOJ/FBI – among other things.
They likely believe that their Democrat colleagues will sit still for this the same way that the Republicans did when they were attacked and demonized over the past six years.
And usual, they’d be wrong.
The Democrats have no intention of sitting quietly while the truth about the Bidens and their ties to China comes out. They intend to not only fight back, but to fire the first shots. As Admiral David Farragut said during the Civil War: “The best defense is a well-directed fire from your own guns.” They see this as a war and intend to fight to win. The Republicans have not yet learned this lesson.
Being early on the attack is nothing new for the Democrats. In 2008, a group of leftist/progressive activist political reporters, bloggers, academics, magazine authors, and policy types led by Ezra Klein formed a group called “Journolist.” Among other things, they reportedly coordinated talking points used in the media to unify the leftist messages attacking conservatives.
An article in the Daily Caller was titled “2008 – The year journalism really died.”
In it they explained how Klein’s group worked to kill any articles linking Barack Obama to racist sermons by Jeremiah Wright when the Obama family attended his church. Their chief tactic was to call anyone supporting the stories racists. Journolist members then denied being partisan propagandists, but outside the Fox News coverage, the Obama/Wright stories ceased in the mainstream press. Coincidentally, Democrats calling political opponents racists for any reason at all is a tactic that continues to this day.
More recently, the Biden administration tried to set up an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” that they called the Disinformation Governance Board (DGB). Leaked reports say that as early as September 2021, DHS Secretary Mayorkas had begun work on the DGB.
At first, Secretary Mayorkas said that the DGB would concentrate on disinformation from foreign adversaries and drug cartels. Later he said that the board would focus on international criminal organizations and human traffickers. But leaked documents indicated that from the beginning the DGB was designed to monitor (and intimidate?) the domestic free speech of American citizens on politically controversial subjects such as:
- Election security and validity;
- Efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines;
- The usefulness of mask mandates;
- The origins of the COVID-19 virus.
It’s likely that anything disadvantageous to the Democrats – would have been called “Disinformation” by the DGB. (First cousin to the KGB?)
Fortunately for Americans, the DGB was dropped due to massive pushback, but there are still issues. Sen. Josh Hawley complained that Mayorkas had lied to him about the DGB not meeting, when its steering committee had met on a weekly basis. Then, since Mayorkas repeatedly said the DGB would only be concerned with foreign entities – did he lie under oath to Congress when it also targeted Americans? And if so, will the Biden DOJ do anything about it?
The real tipping point for new censorship of conservatives came in 2022 when Republicans won the House of Representatives in the midterms. This made it necessary for the Democrats to take control the narrative so they could defend the Biden administration’s globalist agenda. Their plans were to implement information and perception warfare activities – with American voters as the targets and the media as their allies.
A November news report said that the Democrats had set up what they call a “Congressional Integrity Project” – basically a war room to turn the facts surrounding Biden’s corruption into simple political narratives. This as they feel that with a compliant press they can win a battle of perceptions more easily than they can a battle of facts. One thing they will do is call anything printed by the Republicans as coming from the typical Trump playbook of personal attacks (and racism). This, of course, comes from people who for the last six years have specialized in nothing else but personal attacks on Trump and any non-Democrats – calling them traitors, extremists, and racists.
Another article the Politico (D?), said that the “Congressional Integrity Project” was simply: “Investigating the investigators: Dem strategists to launch counterpunch to House GOP.” They said that it was a multi-million-dollar hub to counter any attacks shedding light on the Bidens, the Dem leadership, and the communist Chinese. They said: “investigate the investigators, expose their political motivations and the monied special interests supporting their work, and hold them accountable for ignoring the urgent priorities of all Americans in order to smear Joe Biden and do the political bidding of Trump and MAGA Republicans.” Translation – forget the truth and focus on how we present our fake talking points + Orange Man Bad. (A multi-million-dollar hub – they always seem to be extremely well funded.)
Along these lines, Biden’s White house recently dismissed the Hunter laptop stories as – Old News. Old News, while at the same time Democrats continue to go back centuries to find dirt on anyone, including Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson – if it serves their modern socialist propaganda purposes.
At this point it’s good to remember what Paul A. Goble, a former State Department official, said in his article: “How Russian and Soviet Propaganda Differ.”
The Russians he said, had learned that in an information era they could count on deceiving only those who wanted to be deceived. Fortunately for them, he continued, these gullible individuals are extremely numerous. An addition to this would be – and you can count on the American press to keep them gullible and accepting of the socialist messaging.
There are two considerations here. First, much of this came out before Elon Musk released the Twitter emails that exposed the collusion between social media, the DNC, the Biden campaign, and possibly government agencies. But it sure fits the way they have always done business. Second, the empire is already striking back. The mainstream press is already working with/for the Democrats trying to downplay the Laptop from Hell scandal. Additionally, Wikipedia is reportedly considering removing entries on the collusion Twitter Files Elon Musk has released from their site. One reason they gave was that they were nothing new and had been ignored by the media.
Ignored by the media. There you have the Liberal media’s playbook and their most dangerous tool. First, they ignore an inconvenient story – then they say it never happened because they didn’t report it. And if you argue the point they (and all their friends) will call you extremists and racists.
As they say in advertising, if you're explaining you're losing. Democrats attack. The Republicans snivel and defend and never attack. That’s why no one pays any attention to their arguments. This must change if things have any chance of getting better.

Exclusive–James Comer 95% Sure Hunter’s Artwork Sold to Chinese, Compromising Joe Biden
Rep. James Comer (R-TN), the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, told Breitbart News Saturday he strongly suspects that Hunter Biden’s artwork was sold to Chinese oligarchs, potentially implicating president Joe Biden.
“With respect to China, since Joe Biden’s been president, that we didn’t even talk about in the press conference, was the fact that Hunter became an artist for a week, if you’ll remember, and he sold some very expensive artwork,” Comer prefaced, noting his Thursday press conference in which he said the Biden family will be investigated for nine potential violations.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme and his contact with potential “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable, claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”
The newly Republican-controlled House will have the power to compel testimony from key individuals, including Hunter, to reveal just how deep Joe Biden’s involvement in the family business is.
Comer gave a second example of potential Biden family wrongdoing while Joe Biden was president, citing the president’s policy decision to sell the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to China, which Comer suspects involved CEFC, a defunct Chinese energy company. Hunter had been trying to work a deal with the CEFC in which Joe Biden would receive a ten percent equity stake in the deal, according to whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.
“He sold the strategic reserves to a Chinese energy company,” Comer said. “We believe that parts of that energy company were the remnants of the CEFC.”
“We have plenty of quality whistleblowers that were on the inside,” Comer said, probably eluding to Bobulinski. “They were president of his company. They were, you know, business partners,” he said. “So we have that. We believe that some of the former owners of CEFC were part of this group that purchased oil from the oil reserves.”
Comer then slammed Joe Biden for potential wrongdoing with China while not raising pressing concerns about China’s role in failing to police the sale of fentanyl components.
“Joe Biden goes to China and he never mentions fentanyl, which has killed one hundred thousand people since he’s been president. He never mentioned a lot of the unfair trade practices that our manufacturers have, the fact that China is stealing our patents and our trademarks,” he said.
“This looks like a president who’s compromised by China. And you look at some of what little bank records we have, and Hunter Biden’s received millions of dollars from China. So this is worthy of an investigation,” he concluded.

“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer stated. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”
Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to anonymous buyers. Hunter’s art dealer, Bergès, has previously hosted art shows in the United States for Hunter while boasting strong ties within the Chinese art market, a worrisome fact due to the Biden family’s business schemes in Communist China.
Joe Biden’s potential conflict of interest is not the only issue that Comer is investigating. Comer’s committee is also investigating Hunter for money laundering, one of nine potential violations. Money laundering in the art world was identified as a major issue by a bipartisan Senate investigation last year.

The Senate report details how a pair of Russian oligarchs with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly seized on the secrecy of the art industry to evade sanctions by making more than $18 million in high-value art purchases.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” investigators for the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations told reporters on a call. The art world is considered to be the largest legal unregulated industry in the United States, according to the Senate investigation.

The Rotenberg example and many other investigation details highlight the fact that, unlike selling stock or making routine bank transfers, art sales through auction houses are not subject to anti-money laundering provisions in the Bank Secrecy Act. When art is sold, according to the report, sellers are not required to confirm the identity of the buyer nor to make sure the artwork isn’t being used to launder dirty money.
“Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions,” a 2020 Senate subcommittee report found.
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme with “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable,” claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”
Hunter’s art dealer has also claimed he would abide by ethical standards and not sell Hunter’s artwork to anyone who seems suspicious.
“This is an absurd solution,” Breitbart News senior contributor and Profiles in Corruption author Peter Schweizer told Breitbart News. “The only way to address these issues is with greater transparency–not less,” he continued. “Their proposed solution is greater secrecy, not transparency. And they are essentially saying, ‘Trust us.’ Joe and Hunter Biden’s track record on such matters gives us no reason to trust them.”

Nancy Pelosi Will Not Commit to Voting on Bill Banning TikTok from U.S. Government Devices
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will not commit to putting legislation to a vote that was passed by unanimous consent in the Senate to ban the Chinese social media app TikTok from U.S. government devices amid national security risks.
Amid warnings about the Chinese social media app from Democrats and Republicans, including the Biden administration, Pelosi said on Thursday that she has not yet decided if she would bring to a vote the Senate’s newly passed legislation to ban TikTok on any U.S. government-owned devices.
“We’re checking with the administration – just in terms of language – not in terms of being opposed to the idea,” Pelosi told reporters the day following the Senate’s vote. “I don’t know that that will be on the agenda next week, but it’s very, very important.”
For the legislation to become law, the House would need to pass the Senate’s bill before the end of the congressional session, which is expected to be next week. After passing through Congress, it would then go to President Joe Biden’s desk, where he can sign it into law.

Brian Kemp (R) said on Thursday the Peach State would be joining other states, such as Iowa, South Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, and others, in banning the Chinese social media app from state devices amid concerns that data could be passed on to the Chinese government,
A Rasmussen Reports survey released last week found that most voters believe the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) could use the app to “collect sensitive national security information from U.S. government employees.” A majority also supported having federal legislation to ban TikTok from the U.S.

Unanimous Vote: Senate Passes Legislation to Ban TikTok from U.S. Government Devices
The United States Senate passed legislation Wednesday night to ban the Chinese social media app TikTok from U.S. government devices amid national security risks.
The vote by unanimous consent approved Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) No TikTok on Government Devices Act. The legislation would ultimately ban the Chinese social media app or any of its successors or services developed or provided by ByteDance Limited and any entities from the company.
Of course, the legislation offers exceptions for any “law enforcement activities, national security interests and activities, and security researchers” as long as the said agency “develop and document risk mitigation actions for such use.”
In 2020, under former President Donald Trump, the administration tried to ban TikTok, but it resulted in the Chinese social media app’s parent company divesting the platform to an American company, as previously noted by Breitbart News.
“TikTok is a Trojan Horse for the Chinese Communist Party. It’s a major security risk to the United States, and until it is forced to sever ties with China completely, it has no place on government devices,” said Hawley in a statement after the bill passed. “States across the U.S. are banning TikTok on government devices. It’s time for Joe Biden and the Democrats to help do the same.”
A companion bill was introduced in the U.S. House last year by Republican Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), but it was yet to be approved by the members of the House Oversight Committee, which needs to happen before it goes to the floor.
“Once again, Sen. Hawley has moved forward with legislation to ban TikTok on government devices, a proposal which does nothing to advance U.S. national security interests,” a spokesperson for TikTok said in a statement following the passage of the senator’s legislation. “We hope that rather than continuing down that road, he will urge the Administration to move forward on an agreement that would actually address his concerns.”
The spokesman was referring to the Chinese social media app and the U.S. government trying to negotiate a deal that would allow TikTok to keep serving U.S. users, according to CNN. Reportedly, there have also been multiple closed-door talks between the two for years.

However, in recent months, there has been a push from Democrat and Republican public officials to take and/or call for action against the Chinese social media app over concerns that it could surveil Americans.
On Tuesday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) introduced another bill in the Senate with Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-WI.) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) introduced a companion bill in the House also aimed at limiting TikTok in the U.S. over national security concerns.
“The federal government has yet to take a single meaningful action to protect American users from the threat of TikTok,” Rubio said in a statement about the ANTI-SOCIAL CCP Act. “This isn’t about creative videos—this is about an app that is collecting data on tens of millions of American children and adults every day.”
Additionally, on the state level, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) announced Tuesday an immediate ban on the Chinese social media app TikTok from state government devices and any state agencies from subscribing to or creating an account on the platform due to security concerns. Reynolds’ was similar to orders other Republican governors have given, such as South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R), South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster (R), Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), and Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R).

Biden White House Set to Pull Chinese Companies From Red-Flag Trade List
Administration officials have preached cooperation with communist nation on climate change
President Joe Biden is set to pull a number of Chinese companies from a red-flag trade list, a move that comes as the Democrat and other administration officials stress the need for cooperation with the communist nation on climate change.
Biden's Commerce Department plans to remove an undisclosed number of Chinese entities from its so-called unverified list, which includes foreign companies that the United States cannot tour in person "to determine whether they can be trusted to receive sensitive technology exports," Reuters reported Wednesday. American officials must receive approval from China's commerce ministry to inspect any Chinese company—approval that Beijing has been unwilling to grant in the past. Once the decision is finalized, U.S. exporters "will no longer have to conduct additional due diligence before sending goods" to the Chinese companies removed from the list, according to Reuters.
Both Biden and his climate czar, John Kerry, have expressed a desire to work with China on climate change in recent weeks. In a Nov. 14 meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Biden "underscored that the United States and China must work together to address transnational challenges such as climate change … because that is what the international community expects," a White House readout of the meeting shows. Kerry, meanwhile, lamented in October that geopolitical tension between the United States and China interrupted the two nation's climate talks.
Biden has pledged to transition the United States away from fossil fuels and toward a "green" economy, which the Democrat says will be "truly made in America." China's dominance of the green energy supply chain, however, complicates that initiative. Biden has already sent hundreds of millions of dollars in green energy funding to companies with deep ties to Beijing—in October, for example, the Democrat's Energy Department awarded a $200 million grant to lithium battery company Microvast Holdings, a lithium battery company that operates primarily from China. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said the grant would "supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is American-made," prompting staunch criticism from Republicans.
"The Department of Energy continues to operate in a manner that undermines and endangers our national security," Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.) said in a Dec. 7 letter to Granholm. "It is clear DOE's actions directly undermine the United States' position in its race against China for technological supremacy."

Biden’s Energy Department Funnels Millions to Beijing-Backed Green Energy Company
LanzaTech rakes in taxpayer funds despite tight relationship with China-run energy giant Sinopec
President Joe Biden's Energy Department funneled millions of dollars to a green energy company in the months after the company partnered with a Chinese state-owned entity that it acknowledges could face business-crippling sanctions.
Carbon capture company LanzaTech, federal spending disclosures show, has received more than $10 million in grant payments from the Biden administration since April 2021, when the company announced a partnership with Sinopec Capital—the clean energy investment arm of the Sinopec Group, a Chinese state-owned oil conglomerate also known as the China Petrochemical Corporation—to "debut an international market of new energy and new materials." LanzaTech has acknowledged in SEC disclosures that its association with Sinopec, which China has used to purchase oil from U.S.-sanctioned nations such as Russia and Iran, could jeopardize its bottom line. The company's financial interactions with Sinopec and other Beijing-run entities, LanzaTech wrote in a November filing, could bring "complications" and "restrictions" should the United States or other nations implement "sanctions on certain Chinese individuals." That filing also notes "that the Chinese government may intervene or influence our operations at any time" and that LanzaTech may be unable to "protect our interests" in Chinese joint ventures "by nominating a non-Chinese director to the board of directors of any such joint venture." Sinopec Capital managing director Bo Ren, who worked for CITIC's brokerage arm prior to joining Sinopec and who graduated from a Chinese university that sits on a U.S. trade blacklist for stealing American trade secrets, is a LanzaTech board member.
Biden has placed green energy at the center of his administration's priorities, with the Democrat working to invest billions of dollars in "America's clean energy economy" to create "good-paying jobs" in the United States. However, China's dominance of the clean energy supply chain challenges that priority. In addition to LanzaTech, Biden's Energy Department has touted a $200 million grant to lithium battery company Microvast Holdings, which the department said would "supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is America-made." Microvast operates primarily out of China and was recently added to a Securities and Exchange Commission watchlist of Chinese companies that have failed to comply with American auditing requirements, the Washington Free Beacon reported Tuesday.
LanzaTech's partnership with Sinopec was not the first time the company aligned itself with a Beijing-run entity. In June 2018, LanzaTech entered into a joint venture with Chinese state-owned steel giant Shougang Group to build an ethanol plant in China's Hubei province, one of the company's three plants in the communist nation. LanzaTech has also raised millions from CITIC Capital, a subsidiary of China's largest state-run conglomerate. Still, the company's relationships with Beijing did not stop the Biden administration from sending LanzaTech millions of dollars for green energy projects such as "low-cost sustainable aviation fuel."
For Arkansas Republican senator Tom Cotton, Biden's support for companies such as LanzaTech shows that the Democrat's "green energy agenda is stamped with the words ‘made in China.'"
"Instead of handing millions of taxpayer dollars to a Chinese-backed company, the president should be encouraging American energy production and American energy independence," Cotton told the Free Beacon.
Neither the White House nor LanzaTech returned requests for comment. The Energy Department told the Free Beacon that it "makes financial assistance awards on a competitive basis and follows a rigorous merit review process using independent technical experts" and "requires that DOE-funded inventions be substantially manufactured in the United States." The department did not return a follow-up request for comment on its payments to LanzaTech following the company's Sinopec partnership.
LanzaTech has political connections to top Democrats. One of the company's most influential financiers, billionaire venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, led then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's India policy team in 2008 and went on to host a $32,400-a-head Democratic Party fundraiser at his California mansion, which Obama personally attended. Obama's former deputy chief of staff and campaign manager Jim Messina, meanwhile, joined LanzaTech's board in 2013. LanzaTech received tens of millions of dollars in Energy Department grants during Obama's time as president, some of which carried over to the Trump administration, which awarded the company less than $3 million in new grants prior to its Sinopec deal. In September 2022 company CEO Jennifer Holmgren accepted a White House invite to brief Biden administration officials and members of Congress "on the progress LanzaTech has made in leveraging biotechnology and biomanufacturing for a safe, secure, and sustainable U.S. bioeconomy."
Beyond LanzaTech, the Biden administration has already faced criticism for its dealings with Sinopec. Biden's Energy Department in April announced the sale of nearly one million Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to the Chinese state-controlled gas giant's trading arm, Unipec, a move the administration said would "support American consumers" and "combat Putin's price hike." But the sale—which helped drain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to its lowest level in more than four decades—came as Unipec underwent an "unusual buying spree" aimed at boosting China's own oil reserves. It also came as China used Sinopec and its state-run affiliates to strengthen the nation's energy relationship with Russia and Iran. The sale prompted congressional Republicans to open a formal investigation into the Biden administration.
Biden is now facing similar probes over his green energy grants. Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.), the ranking member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, on Dec. 7 launched an inquiry into the administration's Microvast grant. That grant "endangers our national security" and "undermine[s] the United States' position in its race against China for technological supremacy," Barrasso said in a letter to Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. Former energy secretary Rick Perry also called for congressional investigations into Granholm for the grant, which he called "unacceptable."

Rep. James Comer (R-TN), the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, told Breitbart News Saturday he strongly suspects that Hunter Biden’s artwork was sold to Chinese oligarchs, potentially implicating president Joe Biden.
“With respect to China, since Joe Biden’s been president, that we didn’t even talk about in the press conference, was the fact that Hunter became an artist for a week, if you’ll remember, and he sold some very expensive artwork,” Comer prefaced, noting his Thursday press conference in which he said the Biden family will be investigated for nine potential violations.
Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to an anonymous buyer. Hunter’s art dealer, Georges Bergès, has previously boasted he had strong ties to businessmen in Communist China, which has concerned many due to the Biden family’s business ventures abroad.

Comer gave a second example of potential Biden family wrongdoing while Joe Biden was president, citing the president’s policy decision to sell the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to China, which Comer suspects involved CEFC, a defunct Chinese energy company. Hunter had been trying to work a deal with the CEFC in which Joe Biden would receive a ten percent equity stake in the deal, according to whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.
“He sold the strategic reserves to a Chinese energy company,” Comer said. “We believe that parts of that energy company were the remnants of the CEFC.”
“We have plenty of quality whistleblowers that were on the inside,” Comer said, probably eluding to Bobulinski. “They were president of his company. They were, you know, business partners,” he said. “So we have that. We believe that some of the former owners of CEFC were part of this group that purchased oil from the oil reserves.”
Comer then slammed Joe Biden for potential wrongdoing with China while not raising pressing concerns about China’s role in failing to police the sale of fentanyl components.
“Joe Biden goes to China and he never mentions fentanyl, which has killed one hundred thousand people since he’s been president. He never mentioned a lot of the unfair trade practices that our manufacturers have, the fact that China is stealing our patents and our trademarks,” he said.
“This looks like a president who’s compromised by China. And you look at some of what little bank records we have, and Hunter Biden’s received millions of dollars from China. So this is worthy of an investigation,” he concluded.

The Most Dangerous President in American History
A new book highlights the ways Biden is putting us at risk.
Prior to Joe Biden’s ascension to the White House in early 2021, it would have been difficult for many American patriots to believe that a worse president than Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama could sit in the Oval Office. Then Biden wasted no time proving those patriots wrong. From Day One he has been such an unmitigated disaster for the country that only 19% of Americans said in a poll last Sunday that they want Biden to run again in 2024. A July poll revealed that only 13% of Americans believe the country is on the right track. Apparently few believe that Biden is building back better, much less making America great again.
His incompetence (or conversely, his competence in carrying out a destructive agenda) has done more than just bring the country to the brink of a failed state after only half a term, though; it also has endangered Americans in many ways, and its legacy will continue to do so for generations. Indeed, bestselling author Nick Adams, in his new book from Post Hill Press, labels Joe Biden The Most Dangerous President in History.
Adams, 38, Australian-born but a naturalized American citizen and proud of it, is the author of several bestselling books such as Retaking America, Green Card Warrior, and Trump and Churchill: Defenders of Civilization. He is a tireless public speaker and social media influencer, as well as a frequent commentator in the news media such as at Fox News. In addition to having been appointed by President Trump as a scholar to the Smithsonian, Adams also runs a nationwide nonprofit called FLAG, the Foundation for Liberty and Greatness, whose mission is to educate Americans about the values and principles that make our country exceptional.
His new book, The Most Dangerous President in History, lays out some of the principal ways in which our Divider-in-Chief Biden is running the ship of state aground. In chapters on shutting down the economy instead of the coronavirus; on flooding our southern border with migrants and flooding cities across the U.S. with Afghan refugees; on demonizing concerned parents at school board meetings as domestic terror threats; on undermining our military; and on demonstrating weak leadership regarding China and Ukraine, Adams makes the case that Biden is creating crises that threaten our national security and put American lives at risk.
On Biden’s border policy, for example: the Left likes to paint anyone concerned about the open floodgates of our southern border as racist and anti-immigration. In fact, conservatives simply think it’s sensible to have a system in place for the vetting of people who want to come here, and to have reasonable restrictions or guidelines about the flow of people we let in. There isn’t another country in the world that doesn’t do that. But Biden’s party isn’t satisfied with anything less than an unlimited number of potential Democrat voters streaming across the border – and drug cartels, human traffickers, and terrorists along with them.
As Adams points out in his book, instead of policing our borders, the Department of Homeland Security is instead obsessed with a domestic terror threat that the Biden administration is greatly concerned about: parents expressing their outrage at school boards over the Critical Race Theory indoctrination and gender ideology sexualization of their children. The branding of these rightly-concerned citizens as violent terrorist threats is one of the most disgusting smears the Left has ever used against its political opponents.
But potentially the most serious threat Biden and his administration present is in its subversion of our military – through diversity/equity/inclusion wokeness, the mandating of COVID vaccines to weed out potential dissidents, and the leadership’s focus on climate change and “whiteness” as our greatest existential enemies. Adams addresses this in a chapter that details, among other things, the debacle of our withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Gen. Mark Milley’s treasonous warning to China during the Trump years.
The book concludes with a chapter about Biden being compromised on China and Ukraine, a national security threat that our complicit media don’t want to talk about, much less investigate. And then of course, there’s Joe’s embarrassment of a son, Hunter. The Biden family has no compunctions about selling America out to our enemies or dragging us into a nuclear war with Russia.
Adams notes that Biden is dangerous not only not only on his own, but also because of the people with whom he has surrounded himself in his administration, such as the Secretary of Transportation diversity hire Pete Buttigieg, the epically incompetent Vice President Kamala Harris, and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who infamously declared before Congress that she couldn’t define the word “woman” because she isn’t a biologist. There doesn’t seem to be a single appointee in the administration that is there because of actual merit and qualifications.
The Most Dangerous President in History, like Nick Adams himself, is a bracing shot of patriotic common sense. If the book has a failing, it is that it does not include more of the ways in which the grouchy old radical Biden and his administration are putting this country at serious risk (admittedly, doing so would have made the book too unwieldy to lift for anyone but bodybuilders).
But to add one more reason to the mix – one Adams couldn’t have included because it arose just after the publication of his book – consider the recent, treasonous prisoner exchange of the billionaire Russian arms dealer Viktor “Merchant of Death” Bout for women’s basketball star Brittney Griner, who was serving a nine-year sentence in Moscow for drug possession. Besides the fact that the Biden administration left retired U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, unjustly-imprisoned in Russian custody since 2018, this shocking capitulation to Russian demands demonstrated to both our allies and our enemies that America under Biden is pathetically weak, and it exposes Americans to an increased threat of being kidnapped by foreign powers again.
Only the most ideologically deluded Democrat sincerely believes that Joe Biden is anything but a catastrophic failure, both domestically and abroad, as the Leader of the Free World. Nick Adams’ new book demonstrates this abundantly well, but also points the way optimistically forward to the presidential election of 2024 – if we are as committed to taking our country back as the Left is to fundamentally transforming it.

During this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the ranking Republican on the House Oversight Committee, discussed what he alleged was “influence peddling” by President Joe Biden’s family with America’s adversaries.
According to Comer, those actions threatened U.S. national security.
“This is an investigation of Joe Biden because we believe that the family’s influence peddling is a national security risk,” Comer said. “And when you look at national security, and you look at the evidence on the laptop, energy policy is national security. And the most concerning part of the business deal, so to say, so to speak, that the Biden family was involved in was trying to help China get their foot in the door on the American energy industry.”
“So, part of what the deal was that Joe Biden was going to be involved in was trying to help China purchase drillers in the natural gas industry,” he continued. “People are outraged over China buying farmland in the Dakotas. Think about China buying into our American energy industry at the help of the Biden family. And then you look at all these crazy policies coming out of the Biden administration with respect to energy policy that are affecting every American in a negative way, and you think maybe he is compromised.”

Biden’s Energy Department Funnels Millions to Beijing-Backed Green Energy Company
LanzaTech rakes in taxpayer funds despite tight relationship with China-run energy giant Sinopec
President Joe Biden's Energy Department funneled millions of dollars to a green energy company in the months after the company partnered with a Chinese state-owned entity that it acknowledges could face business-crippling sanctions.
Carbon capture company LanzaTech, federal spending disclosures show, has received more than $10 million in grant payments from the Biden administration since April 2021, when the company announced a partnership with Sinopec Capital—the clean energy investment arm of the Sinopec Group, a Chinese state-owned oil conglomerate also known as the China Petrochemical Corporation—to "debut an international market of new energy and new materials." LanzaTech has acknowledged in SEC disclosures that its association with Sinopec, which China has used to purchase oil from U.S.-sanctioned nations such as Russia and Iran, could jeopardize its bottom line. The company's financial interactions with Sinopec and other Beijing-run entities, LanzaTech wrote in a November filing, could bring "complications" and "restrictions" should the United States or other nations implement "sanctions on certain Chinese individuals." That filing also notes "that the Chinese government may intervene or influence our operations at any time" and that LanzaTech may be unable to "protect our interests" in Chinese joint ventures "by nominating a non-Chinese director to the board of directors of any such joint venture." Sinopec Capital managing director Bo Ren, who worked for CITIC's brokerage arm prior to joining Sinopec and who graduated from a Chinese university that sits on a U.S. trade blacklist for stealing American trade secrets, is a LanzaTech board member.
Biden has placed green energy at the center of his administration's priorities, with the Democrat working to invest billions of dollars in "America's clean energy economy" to create "good-paying jobs" in the United States. However, China's dominance of the clean energy supply chain challenges that priority. In addition to LanzaTech, Biden's Energy Department has touted a $200 million grant to lithium battery company Microvast Holdings, which the department said would "supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is America-made." Microvast operates primarily out of China and was recently added to a Securities and Exchange Commission watchlist of Chinese companies that have failed to comply with American auditing requirements, the Washington Free Beacon reported Tuesday.
LanzaTech's partnership with Sinopec was not the first time the company aligned itself with a Beijing-run entity. In June 2018, LanzaTech entered into a joint venture with Chinese state-owned steel giant Shougang Group to build an ethanol plant in China's Hubei province, one of the company's three plants in the communist nation. LanzaTech has also raised millions from CITIC Capital, a subsidiary of China's largest state-run conglomerate. Still, the company's relationships with Beijing did not stop the Biden administration from sending LanzaTech millions of dollars for green energy projects such as "low-cost sustainable aviation fuel."
For Arkansas Republican senator Tom Cotton, Biden's support for companies such as LanzaTech shows that the Democrat's "green energy agenda is stamped with the words ‘made in China.'"
"Instead of handing millions of taxpayer dollars to a Chinese-backed company, the president should be encouraging American energy production and American energy independence," Cotton told the Free Beacon.
Neither the White House nor LanzaTech returned requests for comment. The Energy Department told the Free Beacon that it "makes financial assistance awards on a competitive basis and follows a rigorous merit review process using independent technical experts" and "requires that DOE-funded inventions be substantially manufactured in the United States." The department did not return a follow-up request for comment on its payments to LanzaTech following the company's Sinopec partnership.
LanzaTech has political connections to top Democrats. One of the company's most influential financiers, billionaire venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, led then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's India policy team in 2008 and went on to host a $32,400-a-head Democratic Party fundraiser at his California mansion, which Obama personally attended. Obama's former deputy chief of staff and campaign manager Jim Messina, meanwhile, joined LanzaTech's board in 2013. LanzaTech received tens of millions of dollars in Energy Department grants during Obama's time as president, some of which carried over to the Trump administration, which awarded the company less than $3 million in new grants prior to its Sinopec deal. In September 2022 company CEO Jennifer Holmgren accepted a White House invite to brief Biden administration officials and members of Congress "on the progress LanzaTech has made in leveraging biotechnology and biomanufacturing for a safe, secure, and sustainable U.S. bioeconomy."
Beyond LanzaTech, the Biden administration has already faced criticism for its dealings with Sinopec. Biden's Energy Department in April announced the sale of nearly one million Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to the Chinese state-controlled gas giant's trading arm, Unipec, a move the administration said would "support American consumers" and "combat Putin's price hike." But the sale—which helped drain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to its lowest level in more than four decades—came as Unipec underwent an "unusual buying spree" aimed at boosting China's own oil reserves. It also came as China used Sinopec and its state-run affiliates to strengthen the nation's energy relationship with Russia and Iran. The sale prompted congressional Republicans to open a formal investigation into the Biden administration.
Biden is now facing similar probes over his green energy grants. Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.), the ranking member on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, on Dec. 7 launched an inquiry into the administration's Microvast grant. That grant "endangers our national security" and "undermine[s] the United States' position in its race against China for technological supremacy," Barrasso said in a letter to Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. Former energy secretary Rick Perry also called for congressional investigations into Granholm for the grant, which he called "unacceptable."
Chinese Hackers Stole Millions From US COVID Relief Benefits, Secret Service Reports
Hackers with ties to the Chinese government stole at least $20 million from U.S. taxpayer-funded COVID-19 relief benefits in more than a dozen states, the Secret Service reports.
The hacking group APT41, known as "the ‘workhorse' of cyberespionage operations that benefit the Chinese government," looted pandemic-related Small Business Administration loans and unemployment insurance funds, NBC News reported Monday. The theft is the U.S. government's first publicly acknowledged incident of pandemic fraud linked to foreign, state-sponsored cybercriminals.
The Secret Service considers APT41 a "Chinese state-sponsored, cyberthreat group that is highly adept at conducting espionage missions and financial crimes for personal gain." It is unclear if the Chinese Communist Party directed the hackers' attack on U.S. taxpayer funds, but APT41's targeting of government money—a move cybersecurity analysts have never seen before—is a "dangerous" and "serious" threat to U.S. national security, intelligence and cybersecurity officials told NBC News:
The experts and officials describe the Chinese model of "state-sponsored" hackers as a network of semi-independent groups conducting contract work in service of government espionage. … APT41, also known to cybersecurity firms as Winnti, Barium, and Wicked Panda, fits the model and is considered a particularly prolific Chinese intelligence asset, known to commit financial crimes on the side. …
The primary purpose of APT41's state-directed activity, the experts and officials say, is believed to be collecting personally identifying information and data about American citizens, institutions, and businesses that can be used by China for espionage purposes.
The U.S. government’s implementation of COVID relief programs was already rife with fraud, with millions of dollars sent to ineligible businesses and organizations. Of the $872.5 billion in federal pandemic unemployment funds, roughly 20 percent were improper payments, the Department of Labor reported. The Labor Department overpaid unemployment benefits by more than $350 billion between April 2020 and May 2021, a Heritage Foundation analysis estimates.
In its COVID fraud scheme, APT41 hacked 2,000 accounts connected to more than 40,000 financial transactions.
APT41 has "the patience, the sophistication, and the resources to carry out hacking that has a direct impact on national security," a former Justice Department official familiar with the group told NBC.
China has prioritized cyberespionage for years to strengthen its position in international politics, said Ambassador Nathaniel Fick, the head of the State Department's Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy.
"The United States is target No. 1, because we are competitor No. 1," Fick told NBC News. "It's a really comprehensive, multi-decade, well-considered, well-resourced, well-planned, well-executed strategy."

Republican Babes-in-the-Woods Will Soon Meet the Democrat Realpolitik
When they take control of the House, Republicans have said that they will investigate Joe Biden.
Democrats will not sit still for this and are already preparing to attack any investigations and any Republicans who are involved.
Republicans have made no secret of the fact that in the new Congress, they are planning to use their oversight powers to launch investigations of the Biden clan’s finances, the fiasco at the southern border, and the politicization DOJ/FBI – among other things.
They likely believe that their Democrat colleagues will sit still for this the same way that the Republicans did when they were attacked and demonized over the past six years.
And usual, they’d be wrong.
The Democrats have no intention of sitting quietly while the truth about the Bidens and their ties to China comes out. They intend to not only fight back, but to fire the first shots. As Admiral David Farragut said during the Civil War: “The best defense is a well-directed fire from your own guns.” They see this as a war and intend to fight to win. The Republicans have not yet learned this lesson.
Being early on the attack is nothing new for the Democrats. In 2008, a group of leftist/progressive activist political reporters, bloggers, academics, magazine authors, and policy types led by Ezra Klein formed a group called “Journolist.” Among other things, they reportedly coordinated talking points used in the media to unify the leftist messages attacking conservatives.
An article in the Daily Caller was titled “2008 – The year journalism really died.”
In it they explained how Klein’s group worked to kill any articles linking Barack Obama to racist sermons by Jeremiah Wright when the Obama family attended his church. Their chief tactic was to call anyone supporting the stories racists. Journolist members then denied being partisan propagandists, but outside the Fox News coverage, the Obama/Wright stories ceased in the mainstream press. Coincidentally, Democrats calling political opponents racists for any reason at all is a tactic that continues to this day.
More recently, the Biden administration tried to set up an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” that they called the Disinformation Governance Board (DGB). Leaked reports say that as early as September 2021, DHS Secretary Mayorkas had begun work on the DGB.
At first, Secretary Mayorkas said that the DGB would concentrate on disinformation from foreign adversaries and drug cartels. Later he said that the board would focus on international criminal organizations and human traffickers. But leaked documents indicated that from the beginning the DGB was designed to monitor (and intimidate?) the domestic free speech of American citizens on politically controversial subjects such as:
- Election security and validity;
- Efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines;
- The usefulness of mask mandates;
- The origins of the COVID-19 virus.
It’s likely that anything disadvantageous to the Democrats – would have been called “Disinformation” by the DGB. (First cousin to the KGB?)
Fortunately for Americans, the DGB was dropped due to massive pushback, but there are still issues. Sen. Josh Hawley complained that Mayorkas had lied to him about the DGB not meeting, when its steering committee had met on a weekly basis. Then, since Mayorkas repeatedly said the DGB would only be concerned with foreign entities – did he lie under oath to Congress when it also targeted Americans? And if so, will the Biden DOJ do anything about it?
The real tipping point for new censorship of conservatives came in 2022 when Republicans won the House of Representatives in the midterms. This made it necessary for the Democrats to take control the narrative so they could defend the Biden administration’s globalist agenda. Their plans were to implement information and perception warfare activities – with American voters as the targets and the media as their allies.
A November news report said that the Democrats had set up what they call a “Congressional Integrity Project” – basically a war room to turn the facts surrounding Biden’s corruption into simple political narratives. This as they feel that with a compliant press they can win a battle of perceptions more easily than they can a battle of facts. One thing they will do is call anything printed by the Republicans as coming from the typical Trump playbook of personal attacks (and racism). This, of course, comes from people who for the last six years have specialized in nothing else but personal attacks on Trump and any non-Democrats – calling them traitors, extremists, and racists.
Another article the Politico (D?), said that the “Congressional Integrity Project” was simply: “Investigating the investigators: Dem strategists to launch counterpunch to House GOP.” They said that it was a multi-million-dollar hub to counter any attacks shedding light on the Bidens, the Dem leadership, and the communist Chinese. They said: “investigate the investigators, expose their political motivations and the monied special interests supporting their work, and hold them accountable for ignoring the urgent priorities of all Americans in order to smear Joe Biden and do the political bidding of Trump and MAGA Republicans.” Translation – forget the truth and focus on how we present our fake talking points + Orange Man Bad. (A multi-million-dollar hub – they always seem to be extremely well funded.)
Along these lines, Biden’s White house recently dismissed the Hunter laptop stories as – Old News. Old News, while at the same time Democrats continue to go back centuries to find dirt on anyone, including Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson – if it serves their modern socialist propaganda purposes.
At this point it’s good to remember what Paul A. Goble, a former State Department official, said in his article: “How Russian and Soviet Propaganda Differ.”
The Russians he said, had learned that in an information era they could count on deceiving only those who wanted to be deceived. Fortunately for them, he continued, these gullible individuals are extremely numerous. An addition to this would be – and you can count on the American press to keep them gullible and accepting of the socialist messaging.
There are two considerations here. First, much of this came out before Elon Musk released the Twitter emails that exposed the collusion between social media, the DNC, the Biden campaign, and possibly government agencies. But it sure fits the way they have always done business. Second, the empire is already striking back. The mainstream press is already working with/for the Democrats trying to downplay the Laptop from Hell scandal. Additionally, Wikipedia is reportedly considering removing entries on the collusion Twitter Files Elon Musk has released from their site. One reason they gave was that they were nothing new and had been ignored by the media.
Ignored by the media. There you have the Liberal media’s playbook and their most dangerous tool. First, they ignore an inconvenient story – then they say it never happened because they didn’t report it. And if you argue the point they (and all their friends) will call you extremists and racists.
As they say in advertising, if you're explaining you're losing. Democrats attack. The Republicans snivel and defend and never attack. That’s why no one pays any attention to their arguments. This must change if things have any chance of getting better.

Exclusive–James Comer 95% Sure Hunter’s Artwork Sold to Chinese, Compromising Joe Biden
Rep. James Comer (R-TN), the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, told Breitbart News Saturday he strongly suspects that Hunter Biden’s artwork was sold to Chinese oligarchs, potentially implicating president Joe Biden.
“With respect to China, since Joe Biden’s been president, that we didn’t even talk about in the press conference, was the fact that Hunter became an artist for a week, if you’ll remember, and he sold some very expensive artwork,” Comer prefaced, noting his Thursday press conference in which he said the Biden family will be investigated for nine potential violations.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme and his contact with potential “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable, claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”
The newly Republican-controlled House will have the power to compel testimony from key individuals, including Hunter, to reveal just how deep Joe Biden’s involvement in the family business is.
Comer gave a second example of potential Biden family wrongdoing while Joe Biden was president, citing the president’s policy decision to sell the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to China, which Comer suspects involved CEFC, a defunct Chinese energy company. Hunter had been trying to work a deal with the CEFC in which Joe Biden would receive a ten percent equity stake in the deal, according to whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.
“He sold the strategic reserves to a Chinese energy company,” Comer said. “We believe that parts of that energy company were the remnants of the CEFC.”
“We have plenty of quality whistleblowers that were on the inside,” Comer said, probably eluding to Bobulinski. “They were president of his company. They were, you know, business partners,” he said. “So we have that. We believe that some of the former owners of CEFC were part of this group that purchased oil from the oil reserves.”
Comer then slammed Joe Biden for potential wrongdoing with China while not raising pressing concerns about China’s role in failing to police the sale of fentanyl components.
“Joe Biden goes to China and he never mentions fentanyl, which has killed one hundred thousand people since he’s been president. He never mentioned a lot of the unfair trade practices that our manufacturers have, the fact that China is stealing our patents and our trademarks,” he said.
“This looks like a president who’s compromised by China. And you look at some of what little bank records we have, and Hunter Biden’s received millions of dollars from China. So this is worthy of an investigation,” he concluded.

“We already know Hunter Biden made millions off of his corrupt business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party,” Stefanik and Comer said in a joint statement. “We must know how far Hunter Biden’s corruption goes as a matter of national security.”
“One thing is clear, the facts are revealing that Joe Biden is compromised,” the statement continued. “In the new majority, House Republicans will use our subpoena power to expose how deep Hunter Biden and the entire Biden family’s corruption goes and hold this Administration accountable.”
Comer told Breitbart News in November he is 95 percent sure the artwork has been sold to Chinese investors, which could compromise Hunter’s father, President Joe Biden, due to the conflicts of interest, such as influence peddling.

“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer stated. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”
Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to anonymous buyers. Hunter’s art dealer, Bergès, has previously hosted art shows in the United States for Hunter while boasting strong ties within the Chinese art market, a worrisome fact due to the Biden family’s business schemes in Communist China.
Joe Biden’s potential conflict of interest is not the only issue that Comer is investigating. Comer’s committee is also investigating Hunter for money laundering, one of nine potential violations. Money laundering in the art world was identified as a major issue by a bipartisan Senate investigation last year.

The Senate report details how a pair of Russian oligarchs with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly seized on the secrecy of the art industry to evade sanctions by making more than $18 million in high-value art purchases.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg,” investigators for the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations told reporters on a call. The art world is considered to be the largest legal unregulated industry in the United States, according to the Senate investigation.

The Rotenberg example and many other investigation details highlight the fact that, unlike selling stock or making routine bank transfers, art sales through auction houses are not subject to anti-money laundering provisions in the Bank Secrecy Act. When art is sold, according to the report, sellers are not required to confirm the identity of the buyer nor to make sure the artwork isn’t being used to launder dirty money.
“Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions,” a 2020 Senate subcommittee report found.
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki has defended Hunter’s art scheme with “anonymous” art buyers as “reasonable,” claiming Hunter “is not involved in the sale or discussions about the sale of his art,” and that Hunter will not be “informed” of “who is purchasing his art.”
Hunter’s art dealer has also claimed he would abide by ethical standards and not sell Hunter’s artwork to anyone who seems suspicious.

Democrat Congressman: Twitter Censorship 'Is Problematic'; 'Stand Up for the 1st Amendment'
(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Ro Khanna, describing himself as a "Biden partisan," warned Twitter in October 2020 that restricting the distribution of information regarding a presidential candidate (the Hunter Biden story) seemed like a "violation" of "1st Amendment principles."
On Friday, Khanna, a California Democrat, said new revelations about Twitter's shadow banning or "visibility filtering" is "problematic."
"Look, technically they're private actors, but they're effectively a modern public square, and they should not be engaged in censorship," Khanna told Fox News.
"Now it's one thing for them to say don't put up sensational pictures of Hunter Biden. I understand that. But to censor The New York Post? Look, The New York Post hasn't written a positive article about me, I think, in my six years in Congress, but I would never dream of saying shut them down or don't allow them to publish articles.
"I mean, that's whole the essence of democracy, and we need to stand up for the First Amendment."
Host Dana Perino asked Khanna if he thinks Elon Musk "is doing a good thing by releasing this information?"
"I do," Khanna replied.
"I do think we have to have transparency. And there are two conflicting values. On the one hand, we shouldn't be censoring people...based on viewpoint. What concerns me with the second release of the Twitter files is, it seems some people are being censored or de-amplified because of their beliefs.
"Another thing is to have respect. And I don't think you want these sites to have anti-Semitism or racism. But my understanding is, it's going beyond that. It's not just that they are taking down speech that is hate, and Elon Musk has said he wants to take that down -- it's that they're censoring based on viewpoint, and that's simply not what we do in this country."
‘Digital Tyranny:’ Charlie Kirk, Dan Bongino React to Confirmation that Twitter Shadowbanned Accounts
After the latest Twitter Files investigation revealed that the company blacklisted prominent conservative Twitter accounts — including Dan Bongino, Charlie Kirk, and Libs of TikTok — the shadowbanned users quickly voiced their outrage with the social media platform.
The second batch of Twitter CEO Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” was released on Thursday through former New York Times reporter Bari Weiss, which revealed that conservatives were shadow banned under the company’s “Visibility Filtering” policy.
For example, Kirk’s Twitter account was tagged with an “NSFW View” marker and a “Do Not Amplify” tag. Bongino’s account was marked with the same NSFV tag but also added a “search blacklist” marker, according to internal documents Weiss released.
The popular Libs of TikTok account was marked “NSFW View,” had a “High Profile” indicator, a “Notifications Spike” tag, and was labeled “Trends Blacklist.”
The Twitter Files shadowbanning revelation comes after former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey claimed the platform did not shadowban conservatives.
“we do not shadowban according to political ideology or viewpoint, or content, period,” Dorsey told Hannity in 2018.
After Weiss reported on the Twitter Files, Kirk called Twitter a “digital tyranny.”
“We will never know how much damage Twitter’s censorship of my account and others’ has done to the public discourse, the marketplace of ideas, my work at TPUSA, or the 2020 Presidential election,” Kirk tweeted. “Twitter may be a private company, but this was digital tyranny, full stop.”
Kirk also told Fox News’s Tucker Carlson on Thursday evening that Twitter treated his account with “more scrutiny and censorship than the prime minister of Iran, than Hamas, than people that do actual terroristic type damage.”
Libs of TikTok also spoke with Carlson on Thursday and said the shadowban revelation proves that leftist ideas do not stand up to scrutiny when widely spread.
“Well, I think it’s clear that their views, when spread, they don’t stand up to scrutiny,” the creator of the Libs of TikTok account told Carlson. “And when I spread their views in their own words, they don’t want you to see it because they don’t stand up to scrutiny, and it makes them look bad. And that’s what they’re really scared of.”
“All I can keep thinking is that I must be doing something right for them to go to these great lengths to censor me. I promise you, I will never stop,” Libs of TikTok tweeted after the reports on shadowbanning.
Bongino also spoke with Fox News’s Sean Hannity after the Twitter Files revelation and called Twitter’s shadowban practice “some Soviet-style bullshit.”
“Let me give you the big picture first. This is some Soviet-style bullshit right here. There’s the big picture right here. There’s unfiltered Dan Bongino. I’ve known this the whole time, just so you know, when it was called a conspiracy theory,” Bongino told Hannity.
Bongino continued:
And now I find out I’m on a Not Safe For Work shadow ban list on Twitter because I’ve committed the thought crime of being a conservative. Please audience look me in the face and tell me now, all you media clowns and goons and nuts who told me I was the crazy conspiracy, theorists tell me we live in a free country where three of the largest social media platforms, that are the new public space we can all talk in, when an opinion guy like me cannot speak on these platforms or is restricted from doing so, or banned in the case of YouTube, shadowbanned In the case of Twitter, tell me again how we live in a free country?

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: Elton John Leaves Twitter Citing Misinformation Dividing the World
Pop icon Sir Elton John announced Friday he is leaving Twitter citing concerns about misinformation and the social media platform’s direction under new owner Elon Musk.
The singer-songwriter took to Twitter itself to announce his departure from it, outlining “All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.
“I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”
The 75-year-old musician’s comments come after Musk, who bought the social media outlet for $44bn, said he was granting “general amnesty” for suspended accounts, which critics allege would enable “superspreaders of hate” to return to the platform, as Breitbart News reported.
Earlier this month the rapper Kanye West was suspended from Twitter less than two weeks after he returned to the platform, after he tweeted an image of a swastika blended with the Jewish symbol of a Star of David.
Other celebrities, who have departed since Musk’s arrival include Whoopi Goldberg, Gigi Hadid and Jim Carrey.
For his exit, Carrey also took to the media platform he said he now abhored:
Last month, after Musk reinstated former President Donald Trump’s account, White Stripes vocalist and guitarist Jack White deleted his account, calling the Tesla CEO “absolutely disgusting” and claiming he only restored Trump’s account because he hates paying taxes.
Music producer Trent Reznor also declared he needed to delete his Twitter account for his “mental health” and that Musk’s takeover of the social media platform is an “embarrassment.”
Twitter Files Reveals Blacklists and Shadowbanning – Elon Musk Is Embracing the Same Tactics
In the latest Twitter Files exposé, it was revealed that Twitter shadowbanned accounts to suppress their reach and virality, especially prominent conservatives. There’s just one problem — these tools are almost identical to Elon Musk’s current policy of “freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.” Based on Musk’s comments, it seems unlikely any of the freshly exposed tools are going to be dropped from the platform, leaving Americans seeking free speech at the mercy of nebulous terms like “hate speech.”
Forbes reports that according to former New York Times columnist Bari Weiss, Twitter created “secret blacklists” and conducted a covert operation to reduce the visibility of certain tweets, accounts, and topics. This information comes from the second round of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” which were released on Thursday. These practices, reported on for many years by Breitbart News, are just now being proven true with the release of insider information from the left-wing company.

Many have also noted that Twitter’s previous moderation actions mirror Musk’s own Twitter policy of “freedom of speech, not freedom of reach,” meaning that the platform will continue to shadowban and reduce the reach of certain users and posts. In fact, Musk has bragged about lowering the impressions of tweets containing “hate speech,” likely using the exact tools described in the Twitter Files. “Hate speech” is a word seemingly described differently by every person asked, for example, former Twitter leadership banned women under the hate speech policy for saying that men cannot be women.
Twitter employees allegedly blacklisted a number of accounts, including Stanford health policy professor Jay Bhattacharya, conservative figures Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk, and the controversial right-wing TikTok account “Libs of TikTok,” according to Weiss. These are just a few examples of what was clearly a common moderation practice for the leftist anti-Trump platform.
It is unclear why the accounts were blacklisted and who made the final decision to throttle them, but according to internal documents, the Strategic Response Team – Global Escalation Team (SRT-GET) often handles up to 200 cases per day.
Twitter’s downranking efforts, characterized by Weiss as secretive and nefarious acts of censorship, resemble Musk’s own moderation policies for the platform. When Musk took over the platform he promised that the social media site would be one focused on free speech. But in a tweet he has since deleted following significant criticism, Musk says that the “new” Twitter policy is “freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach.”
On Thursday night, Elon Musk announced that Twitter is working on a new software update that will allow users to see if they have been shadow banned, the reason for the ban, and how to appeal. The update will also show tweet view counts, similar to how video view counts are currently displayed on the platform. This is an explicit acknowledgment that shadowbanning, search blacklisting, and other techniques are here to stay. Conservatives are left hoping that their enforcement is applied equally regardless of politics, an idea that can’t be taken for granted because Elon Musk will not always be around to micromanage the entire company, which is likely to have the same leftist Silicon Valley bent it always had.
Biden Administration Persecutes Musk for Opening Up Twitter
When free speech and transparency represent kryptonite.
Mr. Musk has a target on his back for acquiring Twitter and opening it up to diverse points of view. His sin, in the Biden administration’s eyes, was to turn a social media platform the Left claimed as its own plaything into a public town square for the free exchange of ideas. Free speech and transparency do not sit well with the Biden administration and the left-wing progressive base of the Democratic Party.
The Biden administration is weaponizing its federal law enforcement powers to trample on the First Amendment. It is trying to intimidate Mr. Musk so that he will do its bidding and censor speech posted on the Twitter platform that the administration considers to be “disinformation” or “hate speech.” So far, the Biden administration’s hardball tactics are not working.
Twitter’s new CEO is exposing how Twitter’s former management and Biden campaign officials colluded to interfere with the 2020 presidential election. Former senior managers at Twitter decided to censor postings of the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story just a few weeks before the 2020 presidential election. They used the false pretext that the information upon which the story was based was “hacked” and was possibly disinformation spread by a foreign government. These baseless accusations were apparently fed to the Twitter censors by the FBI, which had the laptop in its possession since December 2019 and had the opportunity to verify its contents.
The New York Post story that Twitter had blocked from its site was published on October 14, 2020. It revealed, among other things, how Hunter Biden introduced one of the key Ukrainian businessmen with whom Hunter Biden had business dealings to his father while Joe Biden was vice president. It showed that Joe Biden was lying when he claimed that he has “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
We are now learning how the FBI put its thumb on the scale to help the Biden campaign at a critical time before the election. FBI agents warned Twitter and other social media platforms to be on guard for disinformation allegedly spread by a foreign government and mentioned Hunter Biden’s laptop specifically in this connection. Twitter’s former senior management took the hint and dutifully suppressed the New York Post story.
Daniel Greenfield aptly entitled his FrontPage Magazine article regarding the collusion among Big Tech, leftists, and the government to get around the First Amendment, “Twittergate and the Plot Against Free Speech.”
The plot thickened even more when Twitter’s Deputy General Counsel Jim Baker (the former FBI General Counsel before joining Twitter) was caught slowing up the release of Twitter’s internal fileswithout Elon Musk’s knowledge. He was supposedly “vetting” the files before approving their release. “Vetting” is a polite term for deep-sixing e-mails in Twitter’s internal files that could expose wrongdoing by Mr. Baker himself while he was at the FBI and by other FBI officials.
When Elon Musk found out about this ploy and did not receive a satisfactory explanation from Baker, Musk fired Baker. Good decision. Baker would have continued running interference for the FBI and the Biden administration inside of Twitter had he been allowed to stay. This is the same James Baker who was involved in the Russia collusion hoax while he was the FBI’s General Counsel. And it is the same James Baker who assured Twitter’s former management, in his capacity as Twitter’s Deputy General Counsel, that it was “reasonable for us to assume” that the information in the New York Poststory was hacked. Twitter’s management at the time then ran with the ball and used the fallacious hacking assumption as a justification for suppressing the story.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tried to dismiss Mr. Musk’s release of internal Twitter e-mail files regarding the former management’s censorship of the New York Postlaptop story as “not healthy” and a “distraction.” Ms. Jean-Pierre’s job is obviously to distract attention from a major scandal that undermined voters’ right to know about information highly relevant to their choice of which presidential candidate to vote for.
Instead, the White House Press Secretary demonstrated the Biden administration’s indifference to First Amendment protections when they get in the administration’s way. She said that “Twitter is facing very real and very serious questions” about the content that Twitter is now allowing on its platform, which the administration regards as “hate speech” or “disinformation.”
Ms. Jean-Pierre had previously said that the Biden administration was watching closely the situation at Twitter after Elon Musk acquired ownership of the company. In other words, the administration is monitoring a particular media company that publishes content the White House does not approve of. It is the administration’s way of pressuring Twitter to take down the “offensive” posts while being able to say that the ultimate decision is up to Twitter, a private company, and thus get around the First Amendment. However, depending on the nature of the interactions between government officials and Twitter, there may well be a First Amendment issue. Mild inquiries are one thing. Government demands and warnings are something else.
In any event, Big Brother at the White House is doing more than just watching Twitter and making its unhappiness with certain posts known to Twitter’s current management. The Biden administration is using the full weight of its law enforcement powers to intimidate Elon Musk and threaten punishment for not submitting to the administration’s demands.
In response to a question at a presidential press conference last month whether he thought that Elon Musk was a threat to U.S. national security, the “Big Guy” called for federal investigations of Mr. Musk’s business dealings with foreign countries. “I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries is worthy of being looked at,” President Biden said. “Whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that. I’m suggesting that it’s worth being looked at.”
President Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen reversed herself on whether it would be appropriate to investigate Mr. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, bringing herself into line with the president.
“I misspoke,” she told an audience at the New York Times DealBook Summit on November 30th, referring to her earlier statement that she saw no reason to investigate the transaction. “Let me say to the extent that there are international investments there, we have an agency within Treasury called CFIUS [Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States] that does look at transactions that involve foreign investment in the United States to see if they create national security risk.”
Funny how the Biden administration is slow-walking a decision about what to do with Chinese-owned TikTok’s U.S. operations. TikTok poses obvious national security concerns as a result of the Chinese regime’s access, through TikTok’s Chinese parent, to the personal information of U.S. citizens who use TikTok’s services. Yet nearly two years after President Biden took office, TikTok’s Chinese owner has not been required to sell its U.S. operations to a U.S.-owned company and ensure that all U.S. citizens’ data would be solely controlled and accessible by the new U.S. company. But President Biden and his Treasury Secretary did not hesitate to threaten an investigation of a U.S. citizen’s acquisition of a U.S. company on the phony pretext of national security concerns.
How about also taking a look at the Biden family’s own business dealings with China, Russia, and Ukraine, which have enriched them – most likely including the “Big Guy” – while jeopardizing national security in the process? President Biden dismissed questions about his own family’s business dealings in which he may well have had a part as “almost comedy.” He said that the “American public wants to move on.”
Not so fast.
Now that the Republicans will be taking control of the House of Representatives in January, they will be issuing subpoenas to get some answers regarding the Biden family business enterprise trading access and political influence for money. They also intend to investigate the whole Hunter Biden laptop saga, which Twitter and other Biden-friendly media tried to hide from the voters. Mr. Musk’s decision to make public the internal machinations of Twitter’s prior management will certainly provide fodder for the hearings that may affect whether Joe Biden runs for re-election in 2024.
Therefore, the White House and its allies are preparing for an all-out information war to discredit the Republican House hearings in advance as the work of extreme MAGA Republicans aided by a superrich plutocrat who cannot be trusted. The calls following the mid-term election by President Biden and his Treasury Secretary for investigations into the Twitter acquisition are an indication of what is to come.
There is also the latest reported investigation of another Musk-owned company. Not an investigation of Twitter in this case, but still one targeted at damaging Musk’s business holdings.
Reuters reported that “Elon Musk’s Neuralink, a medical device company, is under federal investigation for potential animal-welfare violations.” Some staff members have complained that Mr. Musk pushed them hard to conduct the tests too quickly, which they claimed have resulted in “needless suffering and deaths” of test animals.
Neuralink’s facilities have passed all of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s regulatory inspections. The company is attempting to develop a brain implant that one day, according to the Reuters article, could “help paralyzed people walk again and cure other neurological ailments.” Elon Musk is known for demanding a sense of urgency from his staff to achieve quick positive results.
Using animals for testing in pursuit of medical breakthroughs to help neurologically disabled human beings is certainly more constructive than using taxpayer money to fund multi-million dollar marijuana experiments on monkeys. Or than authorizing experiments that included de-barking beagle puppies and then conducting drug toxicity and infected fly infestation tests on the dogs before killing them, as Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has reportedly done.
Rather than conducting a full-scale investigation of how such cruel animal experiments could have been authorized and funded by the federal government, the Biden administration has other priorities. It would rather go after an Elon Musk company that is working on technologies to help human beings with serious neurological disabilities enjoy much better lives.
The Biden administration is hounding Elon Musk to pressure him into doing its bidding or, if that does not work, to make him pay dearly for daring to stand up for free speech. But Elon Musk can take heart from a famous Frank Sinatra quote: “The best revenge is massive success.”

Report: Washington Post Lost Half a Million Subscribers Since Biden Took Office
Trump was right. He was 'the best thing to ever happen' to the Bezos-owned paper.
Former president Donald Trump often said he was "the best thing to ever happen" to the Washington Post and other mainstream news outlets.
He was right.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the Jeff Bezos-owned publication has lost 500,000 subscribers since Trump left office in January 2021, which amounts to a decline of roughly 20 percent. The Post is on track to lose money in 2022 after years of profitability. The New York Times reported in August that the Post‘s business has "stalled" since President Joe Biden was sworn in, and layoffs are being discussed amid management's frustration with "numerous low performers in the newsroom."
Trump called it as early as December 2017, when he predicted that "newspapers, television, all forms of media will tank if I'm not there because without me, their ratings are going down the tubes." The Post is hardly the only media outlet suffering in the post-Trump era. BuzzFeed, Gannett, and CNN announced significant layoffs this month in an effort to cut costs.
The bottom line: Media outlets (and the anti-Trump grifters at the Lincoln Project) stand to financially benefit if Trump wins the Republican presidential nomination in 2024. Assess their coverage of the GOP primary with this in mind.
