WORKED OUT!
France has suffered a spate of radical Islamic terror attacks since 2015,
some sophisticated attacks involving multiple attackers armed
with firearms and suicide vests, some cruder but occasionally
still extremely deadly attacks involving attackers using vehicles or
simple tools like knives and hammers.
Fourteen Killed in Islamic State Attack on Congo Church
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for a Sunday bomb attack on a Pentecostal church in the eastern Kasindi province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The DRC military confirmed 14 deaths and 63 injuries as of Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses told Agence France-Presse (AFP) the attackers detonated an improvised explosive device inside the church during a baptism ceremony:
“Several among us died on the spot, others had their feet cut in two,” the 42-year-old told AFP. “God saved me and I came out in good health with my choir members. Today was not the day I should die”.
Fellow survivor, Jean-Paul Syauswa, said the explosion happened just after a group of people had been baptized, while a blind pastor was commenting on Bible verses.
“The bomb threw me at least 100 meters (yards) away,” he said.
A man who lost his brother in the attack complained that the government was not doing enough to protect local citizens, even though a large military force is stationed in the area to prosecute a long-running battle against insurgents.
“How can such a situation happen when Kasindi is full of soldiers?” the bereaved man wondered.
Another witness who was seated in a tent outside the church at the time of the attack told the Associated Press (AP) the detonation sounded like a “tire going flat.” She was injured in the leg, while her nearby sister-in-law was instantly killed.
“I am traumatized from seeing people die around me,” she said.
The AP reported injured victims from the attack were evacuated to the hospital in nearby Beni by MONUSCO, the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Congo.
Kasindi is near the border with Uganda, in a region where the DRC is battling one of several vicious insurgent groups, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
The ADF is a Ugandan jihadist rebel group that migrated to the Congo in 1995 and swore allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) in 2019. The group has both Congolese and Ugandan members, and seeks to overthrow both governments to create an Islamic “caliphate.”
The ADF has killed at least 370 civilians over the past year and kidnapped hundreds more. The group frequently targets Christians, including worshipers, clergy, and children. Eyewitnesses reported seeing “the bodies of children on the ground” after the Sunday attack.
The DRC military initially blamed the ADF for the Kasindi church bombing, citing the heavy presence of ADF forces in the surrounding area, although the group has not staged an attack in Kasindi since 2014. The ADF had not released a statement on the attack as of Monday morning.
The Islamic State took direct credit for the attack through its Telegram channel on Sunday.
“Let the Congolese forces know that their continued attacks on the Mujahideen will only bring them more failure and losses,” ISIS said in its statement.
MONUSCO condemned the “cowardly and despicable attack.” DRC President Felix Tshisekedi called it a “heinous crime” and promised the perpetrators would be “prosecuted, arrested, tried and severely punished.”
Paris Police Express Concern over Soaring Number of Crimes Committed by Minor Migrants
Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute has testified before a Congressional committee that in 2004, 95% of all outstanding warrants for murder in Los Angeles were for illegal aliens; in 2000, 23% of all Los Angeles County jail inmates were illegal aliens and that in 1995, 60% of Los Angeles’s largest street gang, the 18th Street gang, were illegal aliens.
All-Muslim Michigan City Council OK’s Home Animal Sacrifice
What could possibly go wrong?
On Tuesday, the all-Muslim city council of Hamtramck, Michigan voted to allow city residents to conduct animal sacrifices at home. Dawud Walid, the head of the Michigan branch of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), hastened to assure anyone who may have found this odd or alarming that it was really no big deal. “It’s not something new or novel,” Walid claimed. “This is when Muslims recognize Abraham sacrificing a sheep instead of having to sacrifice his son,” and Fox News added helpfully that this was “an apparent reference to the Quran and Old Testament passage.” See? It’s just like the Old Testament. Relax and accept it, or face charges of “bigotry” and “hate.”
In the same vein, the Detroit Free Press said supporters of the new law in Hamtramck asserted that “some in the Jewish community perform animal sacrifices during holidays, including a group of Orthodox Jews who travel to Hamtramck every year on the eve of Yom Kippur to slaughter chickens at a halal butcher run by Muslims.” The Free Press’ hopelessly biased and dishonest far-Left “journalist” Niraj Warikoo, however, failed to note that taking chickens to a butcher is quite a different matter from slaughtering animals at home.
Yet animal slaughter at home is what the Hamtramck city council approved. So what’s coming? We got a hint back in August 2020, when Breitbart reported that “a Muslim resident of the southern French city of Nice recorded himself slaughtering a sheep in his bathtub for the Islamic Eid al-Adha holiday and posted the video on social media.” The legalization of animal sacrifice at home in Hamtramck opens up all sorts of possibilities as America descends further into the wonder world of multiculturalism.
Some people were apparently aware of some of the possible darker implications. Warikoo somehow summoned up the minimal decency to note that “some residents and animal rights advocates have expressed opposition to the ordinance changes, saying they will lead to animal cruelty and sanitation problems in Hamtramck, one of the most densely populated cities in Michigan. They said they worry about people being traumatized by seeing the throats of goats, lambs and cows being slit in backyards, with blood splattering and entrails falling out.”
Another possible problem comes from a news item in 2013 from, oddly enough, the far-Left Guardian: the animal sacrifices, the paper reported, “will also generate an extraordinary cash windfall for some of Pakistan’s most dangerous militant groups….‘For us it is second only to Ramadan for our income,’ says an official from the Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF). FIF is the charitable wing of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), itself the reincarnation of one of south Asia’s most dangerous militant groups, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a banned organisation dedicated to fighting jihad against India.” Surely there won’t be any connection between jihad groups and the sacrifices in Hamtramck, right? Such a connection would be inconceivable!
None of that came up, of course, during the Hamtramck City Council meeting, where Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Mohammed Hassan said: “If somebody wants to do it, they have a right to do their practice,” and added reassuringly that the city would not “blow up with the nasty blood, contamination.” When the city council voted to approve the practice, Walid stated: “We welcome the Hamtramck City Council’s vote, which blocked those who sought to place undue burden on Muslim residents who uphold their sincerely held religious practice in conjunction with Eid al-Adha.”
Well, that’s just wonderful. We certainly don’t want to place an undue burden on anyone who upholds his or her sincerely held religious practice. But the false equivalence with Jewish practice was either based on sloppy reasoning or ignorance, or was deliberately misleading. Nonetheless, the measure has passed now. So what’s next? Will Hamtramck authorities, however, be vigilant regarding animal cruelty and hygienic issues? Will they enforce ordinances concerning those matters, or would that be “Islamophobic”? Will they be paying attention to where the Eid al-Adha money is going, or would that be “Islamophobic” as well? In “diverse” America, such questions will not even be asked of Hamtramck city council members, as they would be “Islamophobic” in themselves. So we’ll just all lock arms and march together into the glorious multicultural future.
Ex-CAIR Leader Hassan Shibly Responds to FrontPage Mag Exposé
Cries "Islamophobia" over articles exposing terrorist ties and alleged domestic violence.
Over the course of the past year, I have composed a number of articles related to Muslim leader Hassan Shibly and his alleged physical and mental abuse of his wife, Imane Sadrati. Sadrati’s accusations against Shibly led to his resignation from his job with the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). On November 14, 2022, FrontPage Magazine published a report of mine discussing how another group, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), hired Shibly to partake in a series of fundraising videos, despite the allegations leveled against him. Shibly responded, crying “Islamophobia.” The following will show why my concerns were valid.
If one were to look up the term ‘Muslim extremist,’ one could easily imagine seeing Hassan Shibly’s picture next to it. For years, his name was found on the federal ‘terrorism watch list.’ He has described Hezbollah as “basically a resistance movement” and “absolutely not a terrorist organization.” From 2019 till now, he has been trying to get ISIS bride Hoda Muthana, who threatened President Obama’s life, to be let into the US. In May 2021, he posted a viciously anti-Semitic video on Instagram, telling Israeli Jews to “go back to Europe.” And in October 2021, Shibly advocated for female al-Qaeda operative Aafia Siddiqui to be freed from prison.
This past November, Shibly made several posts on social media sharing ex-Guantanamo Bay prisoner Mansoor Adayfi’s wild claims that then-US military officer and current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis played a role in the torture of Guantanamo prisoners. According to a June 2008 Department of Defense memorandum, Adayfi – the individual Shibly was proudly quoting – “is an admitted member of al-Qaida who possessed prior knowledge of the 11 September 2001 attacks as well as other planned attacks against US interests” and who was part of a “small group” tasked by Osama bin Laden “to establish an al-Qaida base of operations in Yemen.”
In December 2020, Shibly’s then-wife, Imane Sadrati, created a GoFundMe page publicly claiming that Shibly emotionally/physically abused her, while she was pregnant and in front of their kids. As well, during a 911 call to police, Sadrati confided that Shibly had been “beating” her “for 12 years” and accused him of threatening to kill her. According to court documents, during one purported incident, Shibly “twisted Sadrati’s arm, slapped her and shoved her against a wall.” As a result, Shibly resigned from his position as Executive Director at CAIR-Florida. At the time, Shibly was one of the most prominent leaders of CAIR, nationwide.
This past October, Shibly was featured in videos sponsored by ICNA Relief, the social services division of ICNA. The article that I wrote for FrontPage, titled ‘Ex-CAIR Hassan Shibly’s New Terror-Linked Shills, ICNA and MAS,’ was in response to both ICNA and the Muslim American Society’s (MAS) embrace of Shibly so soon following his domestic violence scandal and his abrupt departure from CAIR.
Shibly reacted to my piece with a disdainful post on Twitter. His post evasively left out anything regarding his scandal and attempted to cancel all my information – every bit of which was backed up by proof – with the bogus “Islamophobia” label. He wrote, “LOL I love how the Islamophobia’s publish regular hit pieces highlighting all the charitable work Allah blesses me to do as if it’s a bad thing.”
The “charitable work” Shibly is most probably referencing is the fundraising he was doing on the videos to, according to ICNA, assist Florida victims of Hurricane Ian. While this would normally be viewed as a virtuous cause, ICNA, it must be noted, is a radical Muslim organization, and any charitable work that is done with or for ICNA should be considered tainted by terrorism.
ICNA is an active partner/donor to the Pakistani Hamas financier Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF). ICNA has promoted Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), a banned front for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the culprit of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. ICNA has spent over 30 years harboring and placing in top ICNA leadership positions Ashrafuzzaman Khan, a death squad commander from the 1971 Bangladesh genocide. ICNA Relief USA’s Government Affairs Coordinator, Syed Ammar Ahmed, once joked about threatening to blow up a school. And the ex-webmaster for ICNA’s Southeast division, Syed Khawer Ahmad, was a website designer for Hamas.
Of course, Shibly does not wish for any of this to be written about or spoken of. Given his own level of fanaticism, why would he? He just conveniently dismisses any exposure as “Islamophobia.”
However, it is not “Islamophobia” to point any of this out. Nor is it Islamophobia to discuss Shibly’s alleged domestic violence or to question why any group would wish to associate with him so soon after his scandal. These are legitimate concerns that should be examined and investigated.

'Unacceptable': Biden Administration Opposes Jewish Prayer at Jerusalem Holy Site
Latest stance contributes to growing rift between Biden admin, new Israeli government
The Biden administration says it would be "unacceptable" for Israel to end the restriction on Jewish prayer at the Temple Mount and it would oppose any effort to disrupt the "historic status quo" that only allows Muslims to pray at the site. The stance is a blow to diplomatic relations between the United States and the newly installed Israeli government and signals the Biden administration intends to call out the Jewish state on issues other administrations might address behind closed doors.
When asked by the Washington Free Beacon this week if the Biden administration would back changes proposed by conservative Israeli leaders that would allow Jews to pray at the holy site revered by both Muslims and Jews, a State Department spokesman said it is "unacceptable" for Israel to depart from longstanding policies.
"The United States stands firmly for preservation of the historic status quo with respect to the holy sites in Jerusalem," the spokesman said. "Any unilateral actions that depart from the historic status quo is unacceptable."
The Biden administration’s tough diplomatic stance is leading to concerns about a growing rift between the United States and Israel. President Joe Biden sparked criticism last year when he did not immediately phone Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to congratulate him on his election win, which observers saw as a sign of chilly relations between the world leaders. The Biden administration also launched an FBI investigation into the death of a Palestinian-American journalist, despite Israel and the State Department determining the killing was accidental. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was also dispatched in early December to headline a conference organized by J Street, a leading anti-Israel group working to oppose Netanyahu’s government.
The Biden administration’s willingness to join the international chorus of Israel bashers has sparked outrage among pro-Israel lawmakers in Congress and former U.S. officials who see the United States as distancing itself from the Jewish state.
"Should it really be this difficult for the U.S. government to publicly affirm that Jews have a right to visit the holiest site in their religion?" said Richard Goldberg, a former White House National Security Council official who serves as a senior adviser to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank. "Is the policy of the State Department: Freedom of religion for all except Jews?"
The Temple Mount—a religious area in Jerusalem’s Old City—emerged as a flashpoint in U.S.-Israel relations earlier this month when Israeli leader Itamar Ben-Gvir visited the area and suggested Israel could shift policy to allow Jews to pray at the site.
Longstanding policy has allowed both Jews and Muslims to visit the site, but only Muslims are allowed to pray there. This "historic status quo," as it is known in diplomatic parlance, was enacted to prevent violence from breaking out on the Temple Mount area, frequently a site where Palestinians revolt against the Israeli government. Ben-Gvir, a national security minister in Netanyahu’s conservative government, signaled during his visit that the Temple Mount’s status could change under the Netanyahu administration.
When pressed to expand on its stance, specifically whether Jews have a right to visit and pray on the Temple Mount, the State Department spokesman said, "It is not up to the United States to define the historic status quo. That is a question for the parties."
Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement that the Biden administration has a "pathological obsession with undermining Israel [and] is endangering the national security of America and our allies."
"It should not be controversial for a Jew to visit the holiest site in Judaism," Cruz said.
Jews are permitted to visit the Temple Mount, but prayer is specifically verboten. Ben-Gvir, while visiting the site this month, said, "We don’t give in. We don’t surrender. We don’t blink." He also told the Wall Street Journal in a recent interview, "Why are Arabs permitted to worship and Jews forbidden? I want equal rights."
Ben-Gvir’s actions prompted an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council last week, which accused Israel of breaching the longstanding agreement that restricts Jews from praying on the Temple Mount. The Biden administration, which scolded Israel after Ben-Gvir’s visit, said it is ready to reiterate its opposition to any change in the status-quo governing the site.
"If a member of the U.N. Security Council requests a meeting on this issue, we will be ready to reiterate our views to our fellow Security Council members," the State Department told the Free Beacon.
Israeli officials lambasted the session, claiming that Ben-Gvir’s visit was not part of a bid to stoke tensions with the Arab world.
"Minister Ben-Gvir’s recent visit to the Temple Mount was not an incursion into al-Aqsa or any other fabrication that the Palestinians branded his visit as," Israeli ambassador to the U.N. Gilad Erdan said during last week’s session. "Minister Ben-Gvir’s visit was in line with the status quo, and whoever claims otherwise is only inflaming the situation."
"Jews," Erdan added, "are allowed to visit the Temple Mount. Every Jew!"
We are constantly told that diversity is our strength. Is it?
After he was admitted to the United States on a diversity visa, Sayfullo Saipov demonstrated his gratitude to the land that had welcomed him by murdering eight people in New York City on Halloween night in 2017 by driving a truck along a bike path. Now, all these years later, he is finally on trial. On Monday, he showed that he was not in the least repentant. As far as he is concerned, he has no reason to be. He sees himself as a soldier in a war that only one side admits is being waged. The lessons here are right on the surface for anyone who wants to learn them, but whether or not anyone in this administration has any interest in doing so remains doubtful.
Saipov’s attorney David Patton said, “And as we sit here today, he still believes that, he still believes the ISIS messaging and he still believes it was God’s will that he do what he did.” This was in line with what Saipov said at a pre-trial hearing back in 2018: “The judgments that are made here are not important for me. They are not Allah’s judgments. The Islamic State, in order to impose sharia (Islamic law) on Earth, is leading a war.” He explained that this war was not being waged to gain territory or economic power, but in order to “impose Sharia on earth.”
Patton admitted that Saipov carried out the attack and said his act was “senseless.” He added, “There is no excuse for what he did and we will not offer one to you.” Nevertheless, CNN reports that Saipov “has pleaded not guilty in federal court to 28 counts, including eight counts of murder, 18 counts of attempted murder and other terrorism charges in connection with the deadliest terror attack in New York since 9/11.”
It’s hard to see how a not guilty plea can be sustained, as according to prosecutor Alexander Li, Saipov “told the FBI agents how he planned and practiced his attack. He told them that his goal was to kill as many people as possible. He told them that the leader of ISIS had called for attacks and the defendant responded.” Even worse, Saipov “smiled at the memory of his attack during an interview with federal agents in the hospital, Li said. He also asked to display an ISIS flag in his hospital room at the time, according to the prosecutor.”
Patton, running interference for Islam as all authorities in the West seem to think they have the duty to do, claimed that Saipov adhered to a “twisted and awful version of Islam,” although if anything is certain in this world, it is that David Patton has not read or studied the Qur’an, and Sayfullo Saipov has. But whatever the highest authorities in Islam would think of Saipov’s understanding of the religion (and they’re much more likely to agree with the jihadi than with his non-Muslim attorney), the immediate question here is how someone who wanted to kill non-Muslims for Allah got into the United States in the first place.
That’s because the worst revelation from this gleeful and unrepentant jihad murderer’s trial is the fact that Saipov, who drove for Uber in Paterson, N.J., before embarking upon his jihad, “came to the US on a diversity immigrant visa, which allows people from countries with low recent immigration to apply for a visa and green card, according to the Department of Homeland Security. He later became a legal permanent resident, an NYPD official said.”
When Sayfullo Saipov applied for his diversity visa, his name was likely checked (if the system was working properly, which it may not have been) against some databases of criminals and terrorists, and when he was found not to be listed, he was admitted into the country. No one would have dared question him about what he thought about Islam’s teachings of warfare against unbelievers; to have done so would have been “Islamophobic.” In fact, it’s unlikely that anyone who dealt with Saipov’s diversity visa application had any idea that such teachings exist, or that some modern-day Muslims take them quite seriously.
We are constantly told that diversity is our strength. Sayfullo Saipov has given us yet another reminder that this isn’t necessarily so. Bring in enough people who think that they have a responsibility before the creator of the universe to do violence to those who believe in other deities, and you’ll have a diverse society, all right, but one that is scarred by ever-increasing violence. And here we are. Celebrate diversity!
Majority-Muslim Michigan City Legalizes Animal Sacrifice for Religious Purposes
The city council of Hamtramck, Mich., a city outside Detroit, voted Tuesday to legalize animal sacrifices for the purpose of religious rituals following pressure from Muslim residents.
"If somebody wants to do it, they have a right to do their practice," Councilman Mohammed Hassan (D.) said at the council meeting, the Detroit Free Press reported. Hamtramck's all-Muslim city council voted 3-2 in favor of the amendment, which will allow residents to slaughter animals on residential property for religious purposes.
At the meeting, some residents of Hamtramck, whose population is majority Muslim, applauded the council's decision. Some Muslims perform ritual sacrifices of animals including goats, sheep, and cows.
While animal rights advocates opposed the legalization of animal sacrifice, proponents of the move downplayed concerns about the negative effects of animal slaughters in Hamtramck and insisted it was necessary to protect the city from lawsuits alleging religious discrimination.
"Do we want to risk the city getting sued?" Councilwoman Amanda Jaczkowski (D.) said at the meeting.
Residents at the Tuesday meeting also objected to the flying of an LGBTQ pride flag on city property, calling it offensive to their religion.
