FROM THE NARCOMEX TRENCHES - Ariz. Sheriff: 'You Have to Stop Saying The Border is Secure,' It 'Is Not Secure'
Four Americans kidnapped in Mexico; FBI offers $50K reward for info
(CNSNews.com) -- In just one area of Arizona, not even on the border with Mexico, fentanyl pill seizures have gone up 610% in two years and human trafficking has risen 377%. Testifying about the crisis, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb told Congress to "stop saying the border is secure, because the border is not secure."
Sheriff Lamb spoke before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security on Feb. 28. He was joined by Rebecca Kiessling, a private citizen, whose two teenage sons were killed by ingesting fake Percocet pills that were made with fentanyl. They did not know what they were consuming.
Lamb first explained that Pinal County, which he polices, is about the size of Connecticut and is 52 miles north of the Mexico border. It is what he called a "pass-through community," an area where much of the drugs and human smuggling passes through on their way to other parts of the country.
"The drugs that make it into your states come through my county at one point," said Lamb.
For some perspective on the crime, he said, "We've had a 377% increae in the last two years for traffic stops involving human smuggling and trafficking. We've had a 461% increae in pursuits involving human smuggling, putting my citizens at rick."
"Now, the drivers are predominantly American," he said, "but oftentimes they are juveniles being actively recruited by the cartel on social media, paying them thousands of dollars per person that they transport into my community."

Sheriff Lamb then discussed a case in which his officers came across a woman who was being smuggled.
"When they come here, the women are being raped," said Lamb. "A woman we caught a while back had a bag full of pills, and we said, 'What are these pills?' She says, 'When I came across the border I knew I would be raped multiple times. These are morning-after pills.'"
Lamb then said, have we "lost our moral compass so badly we put politics in front of people?"
"They are raping the children, using them as pawns, oftentimes putting them in the sex trade here in America," said the sheriff. "Slavery is super prolific nowadays."
"They are extorting the men," he added. "They put cartel -- how many times can they sell you a pill? Once. How many times can they sell you a woman? Hundreds. How many times can you sell a child? Hundreds. And this is what the cartel is doing."
Lamb then mentioned that his county has seen a "610% increase in fentanyl" seizures.

"In 2018, we had zero seizures" of fentanyl, he said, "and in 2019 we had around 700 pills. In 2020 we had over 200,000 pills. In 2021 we had over 1.2 million pills, and this last year we had over 1.4 million pills come into my community."
In the state, in 2021, "we lost 44 children to [fentanyl] poisoning, under the age of 17," said Sheriff Lamb. "Seven were under the age of one year old. If that doesn't mobilize the forces of the country to stop this problem, I don't know what will. This is what we deal with on a daily basis."
In his closing comments, Sheriff Lamb said, "I will tell you, the lines of communication were severed when this [Biden] administration took over. We have zero communication on the federal side, which is disappointing."
"I would also just like to say in closing that we've got to do better on saying -- the messaging, the media, the politicians -- you've got to stop saying it's a manufactured crisis. The statistics I've given you say otherwise. And you have to stop saying that the border is secure, because the border is not secure."

According to the CDC, among all overdose deaths nationwide in 2020, synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl) were the main driver in 82.3% of the cases. In 2021, 106,000 Americans died from drug overdoses.
In a March 2 commentary in the Wall Street Journal, former U.S. Attorney General William P. Barr said President Joe Biden needs to deploy the U.S. military to severely cripple the "narco-terrorist cartels."
If the Mexican government is "unwilling or unable" to stop the cartels, "then the country being harmed [U.S.] has the right to take direct action to eliminate the threat, with or without the host country’s approval," said Barr.
The cartels must be treated as "national-security threats," he added, because they are "more like ISIS than like the American mafia."

GRAPHIC: FBI Confirms Four U.S. Citizens Shot, Kidnapped in Mexican Border City
The FBI has confirmed that cartel gunmen shot and kidnapped four U.S. citizens in the border city of Matamoros on Friday. Mexican authorities are minimizing the case by claiming that an innocent bystander was the only victim of the shooting.
The shooting took place on Friday afternoon. Initial information indicated two clashes between gunmen in Matamoros. A video leaked on social media on the day of the shootout showed the moment when Gulf Cartel gunmen appear to take a kidnapped woman and three men who appeared to be deceased.
The FBI later revealed in a statement the victims are U.S. citizens who crossed into Mexico in a white minivan with North Carolina plates.
“Shortly after crossing into Mexico, unidentified gunmen fired upon the passengers in the vehicle,” an FBI statement revealed. “All four Americans were placed in a vehicle and taken from the scene by armed men.”
The U.S. is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the location of the victims and the arrests of the responsible gunmen.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the Tamaulipas government confirmed the death of an innocent bystander who was getting off a city bus — but made no mention of the Americans. Officials also shut down the city’s schools for the rest of the day in expectation of further violence.

JOE BIDEN'S PARTNER IN CRIME MAYORKAS DOESN'T HAVE A SECRET POLICE TO WATCH OVER JOE'S INVADING MILLIONS, IT IS FOR THOSE OF US WHO RESIST BIDEN'S ORCESTRATED MASSIVE INVASION OF UNREGISTERE DEM VOTERS.
The migrant inflow has successfullyforced down Americans’ wages and alsoboosted rentsandhousing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to therising death rateof poor Americans.
The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
THEY HAVE NO FUKING IDEA HOW MANY ILLEGALS GOT OVER THE BORDER NOR DO THEY WANT TO KNOW!
As Breitbart News reported, the latest projections estimate that Biden will set another illegal immigration record this year with 2.6 million border crossers and illegal aliens being apprehended. This figure does not include any of the known and unknown got-away illegal aliens who successfully made their way into the U.S. interior.
“Fentanyl is one of the deadliest drug threats our nation has ever encountered. Continuing to amplify fentanyl awareness and the dangers it poses to the health and safety of the American people is paramount,” said Sidney Aki, CBP Director of Field Operations in San Diego. “Day after day, our officers work diligently on the front line to secure our borders and keep our communities safe.”

Report: DHS Maintains Secret Domestic Intelligence Program
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) secretly maintains a domestic intelligence program that allows agency officials to interview willing Americans without their lawyers present, raising civil liberties concerns, according to a report.
The secret program is called the “Overt Human Intelligence Collection Program” and enables the federal government to interview Americans in prison and jail, along with illegal migrants at immigrant detention centers, according to a trove of internal DHS documents reported by Politico:
Under the domestic-intelligence program, officials are allowed to seek interviews with just about anyone in the United States. That includes people held in immigrant detention centers, local jails, and federal prison. DHS’s intelligence professionals have to say they’re conducting intelligence interviews, and they have to tell the people they seek to interview that their participation is voluntary. But the fact that they’re allowed to go directly to incarcerated people — circumventing their lawyers — raises important civil liberties concerns, according to legal experts.
According to the report, an unnamed employee in the trove of documents allegedly said that the Overt Human Intelligence Collection Program’s office “is ‘shady’ and ‘runs like a corrupt government.’” A second document reportedly showed employees also claimed the program raised so many red flags that they wanted the program to pay for legal liability insurance.
Carrie Bachner, a former DHS undersecretary for intelligence, told Politico if the secret intelligence program exists to question Americans, it is immoral.
“I don’t know any counsel in their right mind that would sign off on that, and any member of Congress that would say, ‘That’s OK,’” Bachner said. “If these people are out there interviewing folks that still have constitutional privileges, without their lawyer present, that’s immoral.”
“What do they do with that information they collect, and is it legal?” Bachner questioned. “Where do they store that information?”
“ Those documents also reveal that a significant number of employees in DHS’s intelligence office have raised concerns that the work they are doing could be illegal.” https://t.co/Jq6a2lsWHf via @politico
Politico reported a major theme in the internal documents was that many program employees worried they were breaking the law, which raised disputes about how United States law applies to the program’s interactions with Americans.
Migration advocates claim to be shocked by the New York Times‘ admission many teenage migrants are working in sometimes “brutal” jobs -but they also are trying to keep the migrants coming.
“I was particularly alarmed to learn that some of these children are working full adult shifts in food processing facilities and factories after school,” said Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), who is the son of hard working illegal migrants in California.
But then Padilla told Attorney General Merrick Garland that companies hire the children because there are few other migrants to hire in an economy with roughly 160 million workers:
I also can’t help but acknowledge some of the dynamics that lead to these situations, right? … There’s a report that [companies have] 11 million unfilled jobs, many of which have historically been filled by immigrants … So with no migrants to fill these jobs … since 2018, the U.S. Department of Labor has seen a 69 percent increase in children being employed unlawfully by companies … So it seems like employers — particularly unscrupulous employers — they’re gonna find their workers somewhere and it’s they’re not finding it through traditional lawful means, children become the victims,
The New York Timesdescribed the child labor on February 24:
Cristian works a construction job instead of going to school. He is 14 … Carolina packages Cheerios at night in a factory. She is 15 … Wander starts looking for day-labor jobs before sunrise. He is 13,” are the newspaper’s captions of photographs showing young teenagers admitted via the “Unaccompanied Alien Child” border loophole.
The administration is trying to shrug off the scandal, and its allies are trying to shift the blame from the administration’s welcome for the desperate and cheap teenage migrants — many of whom need to quickly pay off high-interest loans to criminal labor traffickers.
“Horrifying that this [child labor] is happening on American soil,” said a tweet by Jina Krause-Vilmar, the CEO of a firm that helps migrants get into white-collar jobs. She pointed fingers at the employers, not immigraiton advocates, saying “It’s important to stress employers’ outsized role in hiring … Companies must be held accountable.”
“We know too well that this is not the first time children who fled their countries have been subjected to new violence after arriving here,” said a tweet by the Young Center. So the center offered a series of claimed remedies, including a plan to make it easier for each wave of teenagers to get jobs: “Expedite processes to provide work authorization to eligible youth.”
The government should help the teenagers by allowing their parents and siblings to migrate into U.S. and jobs, responded Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a pro-migration director at the American Immigration Council. He told the New Yorker:
This is not a new issue … When we focus on the protections for unaccompanied children, it gets into this question of how Republicans would like to strip those protections from them and make it easier for these kids to be sent back to their home countries. Personally, I think that’s the wrong way to look at it. What we should be doing is making it easier for families to come here.
The advocates’ defense of teen migration and teen employment spotlights the critical role that teenagers play in the chain migration that provides U.S. employers with millions of extra wage-cutting illegal and quasi-legal workers.
The chain relies on a unanimously passed 2008 law that protects trafficked teenagers, such as child prostitutes. U.S. lawyers recognized the loophole, and by 2011, coyotes in Mexico were ferrying teenagers and children to the border.
Currently, border agents grant “Unaccompanied Alien Child” legal status to teen and child migrants, even if they have been delivered to the border on a coyote-rented, air-conditioned bus. The young migrants are quickly sent to social workers at the Department of Health and Human Services where they are handed over to lightly unsupervised “sponsors,” most of whom are known to be illegal migrants.
This bus-to-sponsor UAC process is very useful for illegal migrants who have sneaked into the United States. They use it to have their children safely delivered to their U.S. homes via the chain of coyotes, cartels, border agents, and social workers.
The UAC chain also allows at-home parents to first put their teenagers into U.S. jobs, and then the wages to support the at-home family — and eventually, to move the family into the United States.
Migrants are also using the UAC process to slip through the Biden administration’s recent border revisions. On February 21, for example, MyRGV.com published an interview with Priscilla Orta, an attorney working with an elite-backed advocacy group, Lawyers for Good Government:
On Monday, Orta said about a dozen people crossed [the border], but all of them had already sent their kids as unaccompanied minors without them by that point.
“Dozens of migrant families are splitting up at Mexico’s northern border,” Reuters reported on February 27.
Since January 2021, Biden’s deputies have allowed roughly 320,000 UACs into the United States, along with 1.2 million “gotaways who were allowed to sneak across the border, plus 800,000 people traveling in family groups, plus 1.2 million single adults. That adds up to 3.5 million welcomed migrants since January 2001 — not counting the February 2023 arrivals. The huge inflow has delivered roughly 1 southern for every American birth in 2022.
The massive inflow of migrant workers, consumers, and renters is welcomed by investors, retailers, employers, and their progressive allies.
For example, the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights posted a link to its “funding partners” donors, which includes banks, progressive foundations, wealthy donors, and some companies, such as Costco and Sony Music,
Extraction Migration
The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policyextracts vast amounts of human resources fromneedycountries and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.
The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because it allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.
A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.
EXCLUSIVE: Known Migrant Got-Aways Rise to Nearly 51K in February
The number of migrants known to have entered the United States illegally without being apprehended jumped in February, according to a Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. Got-aways jumped from about 48,000 in January to nearly 51,000 in February.
Despite a decrease in the number of migrant apprehensions along the southwest U.S. border with Mexico, the estimated number of got-aways jumped by more than six percent to nearly 51,000 in February. This number is also slightly higher than the 50,820 in February 2022.
Migrant got-aways are a conservative estimate of the number of migrants who are seen crossing the border but cannot be apprehended at the time, migrants that are part of a group that is partially apprehended, or by estimating numbers based upon tracks found in smuggling areas.
The estimated number of known got-aways during the first five months of Fiscal Year 23, which began on October 1, 2022, hit nearly 310,000, the report reviewed by Breitbart News reveals. This is up by approximately 29 percent over the same period in FY22 when officials estimated there were 240,897 known got-aways.
The El Paso Sector reported the highest number of got-aways. The nearly 17,000 got-aways represent a jump of about 205 percent over last year’s 5,413. El Paso also leads the year-to-date numbers with more than 106,000 estimated known got-aways.
This is followed by the Tucson Sector (just over 13,000) and the Del Rio Sector (nearly 11,000).
Along the Canadian border, Swanton Sector officials report nearly 300 migrant got-aways. This is up from just 25 one year ago. In the year-to-date report, Swanton Sector officials estimate a jump of 950 percent as got-away estimates jumped from 113 last year to nearly 1,200 this year.

Mexican President Calls on U.S. Voters to Reject Border Security Candidates
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) praised President Joe Biden’s soft approach to immigration Tuesday, adding that his government plans to press American voters to not support candidates promising increased border security investments.
During his Tuesday morning news conference, AMLO congratulated Biden for not “mistreating” migrants and claimed the Hispanic population would remember at the polls the way that politicians treated migrants.
“We have a lot of respect for President Biden, among other things because he is the only one of the United States presidents of recent years who did not propose building walls,” Lopez Obrador said. “We give him credit for that, and we give credit to President Biden for no [immigration] raids.”
Lopez Obrador also criticized U.S. Congressmen for blocking Biden’s efforts to “regularize migrants” as had been promised during his campaign. The president also criticized the approach of Republicans calling for stronger border security.
“Because it is very easy to say, ‘We are going to militarize the border, we are going to put up walls,’ seeking easy applause,” AMLO said. “This policy will no longer work.”
Despite previously claiming that he follows a non-intervention approach, AMLO said his government would pressure U.S. voters to fight in favor of migrants.
“Because if there is the mistreatment of migrants and especially Mexicans, we are going to call not to vote for those parties and for those candidates — in the exercise of our freedoms,” Mexico’s president said.
