A wealthy suburb of Atlanta is seeking secession from the Democratic-run city, pointing to record spikes in violent crime.
Buckhead, one of Atlanta's wealthiest suburbs, is pushing to secede and become its own city, the New York Postreported on Wednesday. State and local Republican legislators passed two bills sending the proposed Buckhead City to the full state Senate for consideration.
Sen. Randy Robertson (R.), who sponsored the proposal, criticized elected city officials who "forget who they work for." Residents say that failed leadership is to blame for the city's crime surge, which has reached the suburb located miles north of the downtown area.
"Buckhead is a target. We're a target for
criminals in the city, and Atlanta has not been
able to protect us," said one resident.
Buckhead last year saw 10 homicides, 22 rapes, 211 aggravated assaults, and 238 burglaries and breaking-and-entering cases, according to a report of crime statistics from TV station 11 Alive.
Wealthier residents' desire to leave the Democratic-run city is part of a larger trend across the nation of families and businesses fleeing blue states with rampant crime and high costs of living. California's population plummeted by more than half a million between 2020 and 2022. Residents are specifically migrating to more financially hospitable states like Florida and Texas to escape high taxes and house prices. In 2021, 8 percent of taxpayers making more than $25 million left New York.
Georgia Democrats, meanwhile, have come out in opposition against Buckhead's effort to become independent from Atlanta.
"I voted against the 'Buckhead City' bills, which the majority of my constituents oppose and which threaten the stability of our education, public safety, transportation, and financial systems statewide," said Democratic state senator Jason Esteves.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland on the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) change to asylum rules that allow foreign nationals, claiming to be fleeing gang violence, to seek refuge in the United States even as Americans in some major cities live with higher crime rates.
In July 2021, as Breitbart News reported, Biden’s DOJ altered asylum rules so that foreign nationals arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border are eligible for release into the nation’s interior if they claim to be fleeing gang violence in their native country.
The change helped blow open the door for Biden’s expansive Catch and Release network. Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions had made clear that fleeing gang violence and domestic abuse are not eligible claims for asylum in the U.S.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Cotton said that although Biden’s DOJ has encouraged Central Americans to claim asylum in the U.S. solely on the basis of fleeing gang violence, many major American cities have higher crime rates.
In Honduras, Cotton said, the murder rate is 36 per 100,000 people, while in Mexico, the murder rate is 28 per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, Cotton noted that the murder rate in New Orleans, Louisiana, is even higher at 70 per 100,000 people, and in St. Louis, Missouri, the murder rate is 68 per 100,000 people.
“Should American citizens in places like New Orleans and Baltimore and St. Louis begin to seek asylum in countries like Honduras and Guatemala, under your asylum principles?” Cotton asked Garland.
“I’m saying that the principle here is protection of specific individuals who are being threatened by the gang and where the local country is unwilling or unable to protect them,” Garland responded, to which Cotton said:
So, so is the United States government and the city governments of St. Louis and Baltimore and New Orleans unwilling or unable to protect its own citizens? [Emphasis added]
Garland said he does not believe that the federal government and city governments are unwilling to protect their citizens, but rather “they’re doing everything that they can.” Then Cotton said:
Mr. Attorney General, one of the reasons we have a crisis at our border — where we have illegal aliens running to our Border Patrol, not away from our Border Patrol — is this interpretation of asylum, that anyone anywhere who lives in a dangerous or poor country can come here and seek asylum as opposed to seeking it, as is traditionally the case for things like persecution on religious belief or political practice.
Since Biden took office, encounters of illegal aliens have exceeded 5.5 million along the U.S.-Mexico border. Close to two million border crossers and illegal aliens have been directly released into the nation’s interior thanks to Biden’s parole pipeline.

Georgia’s secretary of state has opened an investigation into "financial irregularities" surrounding the New Georgia Project, a voting-rights charity founded by Stacey Abrams, individuals familiar with the matter told the Washington Free Beacon.
The investigation comes after severalFree Beaconreports on the alleged financial mismanagement by former New Georgia Project executives. Accounting and legal experts have raised questions about the legality of the New Georgia Project’s latest tax filings. As investigations get underway, authorities will issue subpoenas to parties affiliated with the New Georgia Project, a source with knowledge of the state’s actions said.
A spokesman for the Georgia secretary of state confirmed the investigation but declined to comment further. The New Georgia Project did not respond to a request for comment.
Founded by Abrams in 2013, the New Georgia Project quickly rose to become one of the nation’s leading voter registration groups. Together the New Georgia Project and its affiliated New Georgia Project Action Fund raised a combined $54.7 million since 2020.
The New Georgia Project also reported that it paid zero payroll taxes in 2020, an impossibility barring extensive criminal conduct. A spokesman for the Georgia attorney general declined to comment.
Georgia’s secretary of state opened its investigation into the charity amid a separate long-running case by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission alleging that the voter registration group illegally worked to elect Abrams during her failed 2018 gubernatorial bid.
Abrams, who lost her second gubernatorial bid by 7.5 points in November, said in January that she will "likely run again." Abrams raised more than $100 million during her last campaign, largely from liberal donors outside of Georgia. Despite that exorbitant sum, Abrams’s campaign owes more than $1 million to vendors, according to a report from Axios.

VIDEO: Man Loads Gun, Shoots Homeless Man in Head in St. Louis
Cell phone video captured a man allegedly loading a gun, talking on the phone, then shooting a homeless man in the head in Democrat-controlled St. Louis Monday morning.
The video is disturbing, although it stops short of showing the body of the homeless man after he was shot.
Throughout the video the voice of whoever filmed the incident can be heard giving a play-by-play.
He can be heard surmising that one shot had already been fired. He then commented on the man allegedly loading the gun, saying, “He just put a magazine in it and he’s still trying to load it.”
The video then shows the alleged shooter suddenly point the gun at the head of a homeless man and pull the trigger.
The individual videoing the action gasps, “Oh my God, he just f*cking killed him.”
The Post Millennial noted that police indicated there was allegedly an altercation between the homeless man and the gunman prior to the shooting.
The body of the homeless man was found lying on the street with a bullet hole in the head.

In the 1960s, 90% of murders were solved. That fell to 75% in 1980, and 60% in 2000. In the year of Black Lives Matter, the homicide clearance rate fell so low that it became a ‘coin flip’.
The media reported that only 50% of murders were being solved. What was less reported was that this mainly reflected a drop in solving black murders. Homicide clearance rates for white people have actually improved since the 1980s and reached a high during the Obama administration even as black homicide clearance rates dropped catastrophically.
In the 70s, 80% of the murders of black people were solved. Under Obama, only 60% were.
As the Freedom Center had previously revealed in its investigative reporting, Black Lives Matter, its allied police defunding, decarceration and decriminalization movement helped lead to a nearly 30% surge in murders with 2,244 more black people being murdered.
Despite being assaulted in the streets, defamed in the media and lynched in the courts, police tried to keep doing their jobs, but crime was rising so fast that it was impossible to keep up.
Even the pro-crime Marshall Project noted that, “from 2019 to 2020, police across the country solved 1,200 more murders, a 14% increase. But murders rose twice as quickly — by 30%.”
And solving murders was a thankless job that put police careers and lives at stake.
Meanwhile, as David Horowitz described in his book, I Can’t Breathe: How A Racial Hoax is Killing America, many police departments at a community level, with no support and unable to cope, “responded by taking defensive measures” and became “less proactive in apprehending lawbreakers” which “led to sharply increased violent crime rates nationwide”.
Accusing law enforcement of racism and reducing police services in black areas had drastic consequences for society, but most of all for the black people who were being killed.
From the 1970s, murder clearance rates for white people and Asians increased by 5%, and by 7% for Indians, but fell by 20% for black people. Racializing law enforcement made police wary about operating in black areas. Crime rose in black neighborhoods and went unpunished until parts of those communities became ‘no-go-zones’ in which gangs operated with impunity.
Black Lives Matter and the embrace of police defunding provided some brutal statistics.
The CDC revealed that, “In 2020, one out of every 1,000 young Black males (15–34) was shot and killed” and “more than half of all black teens (15–19) who died in 2020—a staggering 52%—were killed by gun violence.” This, and not the occasional viral police encounter, is actual genocide. Democrats and black nationalists had redefined policing and prisons as a form of oppression for the black community. Removing that “oppression” killed thousands of black people in one year and claimed a nearly unprecedented death toll among young black men.
Much like pulling the fire department, ambulances or running water out of black areas, limiting access to full police services in the black community led to a catastrophic death toll.
In a press release proposing a new bill to fix low homicide clearance rates with more police funding, Senator Cory Booker claimed that “since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been a rise in homicide in every part of our country” and that “agencies in rural and urban communities alike lack the proper resources to solve such heinous crimes”.
The crime wave has nothing to do with the pandemic, except insofar as the pandemic was a pretext for springing criminals from prison to protect them from COVID, and has continued even after the pandemic. No police department has enough resources to cope with a 30% increase in murders especially when the perpetrators aren’t being arrested or locked up before they kill.
The press release on Booker’s own site admits that “people of color disproportionately suffer from murders and poor clearance rates in the United States. Despite comprising 13.4 percent of the U.S. population, Black victims made up at least 46 percent of those murdered in 2020, and local and national reports show that cases involving Black and Hispanic victims go unsolved at substantially higher rates than those involving white victims.”
This isn’t an issue “in every part of our country”.
Homicide clearance rates are lowest for drug and gang violence murders. Since those make up a disproportionate number of black homicides, what Black Lives Matter activism and pro-crime legislative measures by Democrats and Republicans have done is turn over black communities to drug dealers and gang members who have been allowed to get away with murder.
Homicide doesn’t even make the CDC’s top 10 causes of death for men in America, but it’s number four for black men. Among black men under the age of 20, homicide is the leading cause of death. Most young black men are being murdered. And it’s only getting worse.
Convincing black people that the police are evil while showing them that the perpetrators operate with impunity also makes it nearly impossible to secure cooperative witnesses. And without those, murder cases are much less likely to be solved in any meaningful fashion.
More black people keep being murdered and the perpetrators keep on killing.
Black lives can’t matter, if black murders don’t matter. And since the vast majority of black murder victims are killed by black perpetrators, there’s no way to stop black murders without arresting and locking up black perpetrators. As David Horowitz wrote in, I Can’t Breathe: How A Racial Hoax is Killing America, “The false charge of ‘systemic racism’ is a convenient cover for the Left’s inability to identify actual racists directly responsible for inequalities in American life.” The inequalities in bringing the perpetrators of black murders to justice and preventing future killings can be attributed to the systemic racism of denying black people police services.
America is not racist except when it falls under the sway of leftist racists who insist on discriminating against black people by carving out separatist enclaves where policing will be managed by community activists and gangs and enforced through “redistributive justice”.
“This delusional racial fantasy, so remote from the facts, remains a principal incitement for the Black Lives Matter movement. The fact that it is believed by so many people—and so many violent people—is a threat to the cohesion of America’s communities, and to the people caught in the crosshairs of the hate,” Horowitz wrote in I Can’t Breathe: How A Racial Hoax is Killing America,
Those in the crosshairs are dying at unprecedented rates. Black lives don’t matter until black murders matter.

Student Who Beat Unconscious Teacher For Taking His Nintendo Switch Will Be Tried as Adult
A 17-year-old student who continued to viciously beat his high school teacher after he knocked her unconscious for taking his Nintendo Switch will be tried as an adult.
Brendan Depa, 17, will be tried as an adult for the brutal beating of Joan Naydich, 57, at Palm Coast, Florida’s Mantanzas High School.
The vicious and deeply disturbing assault was captured on security camera footage, which shows a student pushing a teacher to the ground and knocking her unconscious before going on to punch and stomp on her as she lies motionless and defenseless. The mother of two was struck at least 15 times in the back of the head.
Depa, who faces a felony aggravated battery charge, had been arrested for battery on three separate occasions in 2019. Now, Florida’s Seventh District Court has ruled that the six-foot-six, 270 pound student will be held on a $1 million bond and face up to 30 years in prison.
Depa, who has been ordered by the court to refrain from contacting the teaching assistant, will appear for his arraignment on March 6.
“This student is just six months shy of age 18, and it was also a brutal attack on this teacher. Fortunately, this didn’t result in a fatality.” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said, noting the severity of the savage attack. “This could be a homicide we are talking about,” he went on to add.
Naydich, who has a son at the high school and a daughter who graduated in 2013, has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.

Anti-Semitism is First and Utmost a Danger to America and its Values
At a summit held by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in November, FBI Director Christopher Wray spoke about “the tragic reality that the Jewish community uniquely ends up on the receiving end of hate-fueled attacks from all sides.” He referenced the white supremacist attacks in recent years in Poway and Pittsburgh, and the 2022 attack at the synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, motivated by “violent Jihad”. But it’s not just white supremacists and radical Muslims.
There are myriad of groups espousing Jews-hatred – the far-right, the far-left, radical Muslims, and black supremacists, such as Louis Farrakhan, to name a few. The reality is that these groups and their individual members and supporters pose a danger not only to the Jewish community, but to all Americans. Antisemites target Jews first, as they see the Jewish people as easy prey, but what they are really after is changing America beyond recognition, according to their distorted and extreme ideologies.
The tragic reality is that America as a whole is on the receiving end of hate-fueled attacks from all the radical elements of society. The fabric of America is disintegrating in front of our eyes at the hands of the sworn enemies of the American and the Jewish people.
The Mounting Threat for Jewish Americans
In recent years, the threat against American Jews, and consequently the American people, has been mounting. Per FBI Director Wray, “A full 63% of religious hate crimes are motivated by antisemitism—targeting a group that makes up just 2.4% of our population.”
Interestingly, this hate is one of the sole common threads between far-right, far-left, radical Muslim, and black supremacist ideologies. These groups are united by familiar antisemitic tropes of a nefarious and powerful Jewish or “Zionist” cabal that allegedly seeks to dominate and subjugate individuals, societies, and nations through behind-the-scenes scheming.
More and more, these hate groups, who at their core are enemies to each other, are coalescing and cooperating in their hatred of the Jewish people and the Jewish State.
How did we arrive to this point, and is Antisemism just a Jewish problem?
The Threat from the Far Right
Jew hatred from the far-right has grown in recent years with the popularization of the Great Replacement conspiracy theory, in which Jews are commonly held responsible for a plot to subjugate if not eliminate the white race through promotion of non-white mass immigration, feminism, transgenderism, and other supposedly devious schemes.
Hence, at the notorious white supremacist “Unite the Right” rally held in Charlottesville, Virginia in August 2017, marchers feverishly chanted, “Jews will not replace us”.
Within the year, this unfolded into real world violence against Jews. In March 2018, 46-year-old white supremacist Robert Gregory Bowers killed 11 Jews at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during Shabbat services, the deadliest attack on Jews in America’s history. Blaming the Jews for mass migration to the U.S., Bowers posted on social media before the attack, “I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I’m going in.”
A little over a year later in April 2019, 19-year-old John Timothy Earnest burst into the Chabad of Poway synagogue outside San Diego, killing one congregant in a burst of gunfire, again during Sabbath services. In his manifesto, Earnest wrote, “Every Jew is responsible for the meticulously planned genocide of the European race. They act as a unit, and every Jew plays his part to enslave the other races around him—whether consciously or subconsciously.”
As I’ve warned, the Jews were just the first, most attractive target. Soon these attacks spread to the rest of America. In August 2019, a far-right shooter targeted Latinos in an El Paso, Texas Walmart, killing 23. In May 2022, a far-right shooter targeted black Americans at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, killing 10. Both cited the “Great Replacement” theory as motivations for their attacks.
The Threat from Black Nationalists
Jew hatred doesn’t only come from white nationalists, but also from black nationalists, who since the 1960’s have been advocating for a major national influence through the Nation of Islam (NOI) and their co-hordes through race pride for African Americans and black separatism.
Hatred of Jews has long been brewing in the black community. Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the antisemitic Nation of Islam (NOI), has been a prominent voice in the community for decades.
Farrakhan spews hateful venom at Jews, alleging that the Jewish people were responsible for the slave trade and that they conspire to control the government, the media and Hollywood, as well as various black individuals and organizations. He frequently denies the legitimacy of Judaism – or the Jewish claim to the Land of Israel – arguing that “Judaism is nothing more than a ‘deceptive lie’ and a ‘theological error’ promoted by Jews to further their ‘control’ over America’s government and economy.”
The severity of this problem burst onto the national scene in December 2019, with a spate of attacks against the Jewish community in the New York metropolitan area. On December 10, two heavily armed individuals connected to the Black Hebrew Israelite (BHI) movement murdered three people at a kosher supermarket in Jersey City, New Jersey. Weeks later, on December 28, a BHI-inspired individual attacked a Hanukkah gathering in Monsey, New York with a large knife, killing 72-year-old Rabbi Josef Neumann.
Once again, this hate then reared its head from Jews to the rest of society. In November 2021, Darrell Brooks, a black nationalist drove his SUV into a crowd of Christmas parade attendees in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing six people and wounding dozens. In April 2022, another black nationalist Frank Robert James perpetrated a mass shooting on the New York City subway during rush hour, injuring 29. James’s online incitement and bigotry included antisemitic diatribes.
Farrakhan’s views are echoed in the recent antisemitic outbursts of famed rapper Kanye West, who now goes by “Ye”. Kanye is now claiming, “Somehow our country has been taken over by, you know, maybe about 300 Zionists.” Farrakhan and Kanye have actually been publicly connected for years, with West referring to him as “sensei” in one of his songs.
When Kanye talks about blacks being the real Jews, he mimics the beliefs of the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI). While white supremacists say “Jews will not replace us”, BHI followers say they are us. Just this past month, a group of BHI marchers in Brooklyn ominously chanted, “we are the real Jews”.
And now Kanye has united with the far right, bringing white supremacist Nick Fuentes along with him when dining with former President Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago on November 22.
The “Red-Green” Alliance: The Threat from the Radical Left & Radical Muslims
Not to be outdone, the radical left has been ramping up its Jew hatred for decades, disguising it using hatred for the homeland of the Jewish people, the State of Israel. This radical group new kind of new antisemitism initially gained intellectual currency in universities and other leftist intellectual circles. Today, modern anti-Semitism can be found among members of the radical Left, who are inherently anti-American and see Israel as a symbol of American and Western imperialism, aggressive military rule and the violation of human rights.
Similarly, radical Muslims have long sought Israel’s destruction and promulgated conspiracies of Jewish Zionist global domination. Despite the fact that radical Muslims and leftists are naturally completely misaligned in their belief systems and ideologies, they have joined forces and as the Reut Group warns, “The strategic partnership between the radical left and political Islam, known as the red-green or Islamo-Left alliance, emerged in Europe, but it has migrated to the US in recent years.” Despite their hatred and intolerance to each other they have a shared agenda that is anti-Western, anti-American, and anti-Zionist.
The New Antisemites Report by StopAntisemitism.org and Zachor Legal Institute in which anti-Zionism or hatred of Israel is utilized as an acceptable stand-in for the classical hatred of Jews documents how this contemporary hate, as disseminated by the Islamo-Left so-called “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions” (BDS) Movement, is negatively influencing large segments of the United States’ population and creating a dangerous environment that normalizes vilification of Jews, as well as inciting violence against Jews, something that history has shown to have deadly consequences.
The radical left have also been promoting Critical Race Theory (CRT) and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs on universities and high schools contributing to antisemitism in the American education system. However, antisemitism is not just a Jewish problem – it is an American problem and while CRT and DEI policies may disproportionately target and harm Jewish students, their agenda ultimately seeks to undermine and replace fundamental American values and replace it with its own radical vision.
The trend of intersectionality has accelerated the Islamo-Left collaboration.
The strange alliance between the radical Left and radical Muslims – two groups that, despite their seemingly incompatible worldviews, happily collaborate against Israel and the Jews, can be explained by the theory of intersectionality adopted by many in the far Left. According to this theory, groups that consider themselves neglected and discriminated against must come together to fight against each of those groups’ supposed enemies.
This new partnership was on full display during the last major conflict between Israel and the Palestinians in May 2021, when terror groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched more than 4,000 rockets and mortars at Israeli civilians. Back in America, we witnessed stunning and unprecedented scenes in New York, Los Angeles, and other major progressive urban centers of Jews being assaulted by mobs of anti-Israel activists. This surge of anti-Jewish hate also included harassment, vandalism and online abuse.
Few could have imagined that such a wave of violence against Jews in major American cities would be possible within living memory of the Holocaust. Jews in America often fear walking the streets wearing Jewish symbols, congregating outside Jewish community buildings, or even speaking Hebrew or Yiddish in public. This is a growing threat to American society. Street violence and hate speech is replacing the American principles of reasoned discourse and debate.
Through intersectionality, the Red-Green alliance seeks to replace the universal virtues of tolerance, pluralism, freedom of speech, and rule of law with racialized “anti-racism”, hierarchical critical race theory, discriminatory diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, intolerant “cancel culture”, and the censorship of “de-platforming”.
Together, those who foremost target Jews – white and black nationalists as well as the Red-Green alliance of the left and Islamists – are a fundamental threat to America and its values. These radical groups are spearheading efforts to erode the core principles that make our country exceptional, replacing America’s commitment to individual rights and equality, meritocracy, rule of law, tolerance, pluralism, due process, freedom of speech, and free-market capitalism with a racialized and violent world steeped in conspiracy theories and political polarization.
The Jewish people have long been portrayed as the sacrificial “canary in the coal mine”, a powerless creature that will warn others of danger through its demise. But here we are, not a canary, but as an eagle, warning Americans of the looming threats on the horizon. Heed our warnings.
