SHOULD JOE BIDEN BE FRIED IN THE ELECTRIC CHAIR FOR SABOTAGE OF HOMELAND SECURITY OR JUST PUT AWAY IN GITMO WITH HIS PARTNER IN CRIME CUBAN MAYORKAS???

Afghan on terror watchlist crosses into the U.S. illegally through Joe Biden's open borders

With Joe Biden's catch-and-release policies incentivizing millions of migrants to cross illegally, take a look at who's gotten in this past week.

According to Fox News:

Border Patrol agents arrested an Afghan national on the FBI’s terror watchlist after he crossed into the U.S. illegally Wednesday in California, multiple sources at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) told Fox News.

The Afghan national crossed the border with a group of migrants near Otay Mesa, California, the sources said. Border Patrol agents took the migrants to a processing station, where a fingerprint scan determined the Afghan was a match on the Terrorist Screening Database. The FBI was then notified, confirmed the results, and began an investigation.

Lucky us. As if we don't have enough problems coming from run-of-the-mill illegal border crosserss, now we've got him.

Sure, they caught him, and one hopes, he won't to be allowed to apply for 'asylum' the way the majority of them are, released into the interior of the country to await their court dates several years down the road.

But how did he get this far? Who traveled with him, and how many of them were there? How many more have been let in undetected as 'asylum seekers'? How many more have gotten in as 'gotaways'? How many more are being let in who somehow didn't get placed on the watchlist and should have been?

These are the ugly implications of this one collar of this creep who has no love for America.

He may even have even been up to something nefarious. San Diego, after all, where this character crossed, is the spot where the 9/11 highjackers planned their dastardly actions, in a little apartment in the Clairemont area near a mosque and a Middle Eastern grocery. Could there still be active networks? It may not have been just a perception that San Diego was slack in letting all comers in. It could be that this character was looking for convenience or had a meeting to get to.

It does let us know that the global terrorist community has noticed those open borders as an open opportunity for their terrorist stock and trade.

Too bad Joe Biden hasn't.

At Howard University, where he received an honorary degree for his "analytical intellect" around the same time this Afghan terrorist was crossing in, Biden outlined what he claimed was the topic terrorist threat to America:

President Biden declared on Saturday that white supremacy is “the most dangerous terrorist threat to our homeland” and warned a predominantly Black audience that “sinister forces” embraced by his predecessor and putative challenger are trying to reverse generations of racial progress in America.

So he says, just as real terrorists are attempting to enter the country.

EXCLUSIVE: Five Migrants on Terror Watch List Arrested near AZ Border Post-Title 42

FILE PHOTO: U.S. Border Patrol/Tucson Sector

Border Patrol agents in a single border sector arrested five migrants later discovered to be on the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) watch list. The apprehensions occurred on Friday in the Tucson Sector of the United States Border Patrol shortly after the end of Title 42. According to a source within Customs and Border Protection, not authorized to speak to the media, the migrants were referred to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task for further investigation and identity confirmation.

The source says the arrests of the foreign nationals who illegally crossed the border and attempted to avoid detection and apprehension occurred in separate incidents throughout the day and evening on Friday. Information regarding the demographics and nationalities of the arrested migrants was not available.

According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection report, a total of 80 migrants who are listed in the Terrorist Screening Database have been apprehended after entering the United States along the southwest border between ports of entry this fiscal year. Two more were apprehended after crossing the northern border with Canada.

The data includes migrants apprehended between October 2022 and March 2023. The migrants whose names are listed in the TSDB differ from migrants who are scrutinized as being from special interest countries.

According to the FBI, Terrorist Screening Database contains information related to specific individuals reasonably suspected to be involved in terrorism (or related activities).  A person’s name being listed in the TSDB triggers a reporting process that alerts the FBI to an encounter by the Border Patrol. The source says the additional scrutiny triggered by the encounter includes verification that the migrant whose name matches a name on the list is in fact the same person.

The source says that the investigation and additional interviews by the FBI’s JTTF determine the subsequent actions taken by DHS related to the consequences a migrant may face after initial processing.

The FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) maintains the database and provides the information to several law enforcement agencies including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. The TSC does not confirm anyone’s status on the watchlist.  According to the FBI, most people on the terrorism watchlist are not Americans and they have no known connection to the U.S.

The number of migrants appearing in the TSDB skyrocketed under the Biden administration. During the four fiscal years of the Trump administration (FY 17 through FY 20) agents apprehended only 14 migrants appearing in the national security database. During FY 21, FY 22, and Year-to-Date FY 23 agents apprehended 196 known or suspected terrorists on the list, the CBP report states. These numbers do not include the arrests on Friday.

In March, Breitbart Texas reported a statement from CBP regarding migrants on the TSDS list:

TSDS watchlisted individuals encountered by the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) after entering the country without inspection may be detained and removed, to the extent possible under CBP policy, or turned over to another government agency for subsequent detention or law enforcement action, as appropriate.

The TSDS originated as the consolidated terrorist watchlist to house information on known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) but has evolved over the last decade to include additional individuals who represent a potential threat to the United States, including known affiliates of watchlisted individuals.

One fact a lot of Americans forget is that our country is located right up against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of hitherto unknown “human right” to sneak into the United States and demographically reconquer it. There’s a Spanish phrase that describes his ideology, and one of the words is toro.

JUDICIAL WATCH:

“The greatest criminal threat to the daily lives of

American citizens are the Mexican drug cartels.”

“Mexican drug cartels are the “other” terrorist threat to America. Militant Islamists have the goal of destroying the United States. Mexican drug cartels are now accomplishing that mission – from within, every day, in virtually every community across this country.” JUDICIAL WATCH

“Mexican authorities have arrested the former mayor of a rural community in the border state of Coahuila in connection with the kidnapping, murder and incineration of hundreds of victims through a network of ovens at the hands of the Los Zetas cartel. The arrest comes after Breitbart Texas exposed not only the horrors of the mass extermination, but also the cover-up and complicity of the Mexican government.”

“Heroin is not produced in the United States. Every gram of heroin present in the United States provides unequivocal evidence of a failure of border security because every gram of heroin was smuggled into the United States. Indeed, this is precisely a point that Attorney General Jeff Sessions made during his appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on October 18, 2017 when he again raised the need to secure the U.S./Mexican border to protect American lives.” Michael Cutler …..FrontPageMag.com

Narco-Terrorist Cartel Delivers Mother’s Day Presents in Mexico

Michoacan CJNG
Twitter Video Screenshot

One of Mexico’s most violent criminal organizations delivered small appliances as Mother’s Day gifts to dozens of women in low-income neighborhoods. The deliveries arrived in various cities in the Mexican state of Michoacan as a way to earn public support.

The incidents took place this week in seven cities in the Mexican state of Michoacan where gunmen from Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) were able to move with complete impunity as they carried their rifles while they delivered the presents.

The gift deliveries took place in the Michoacan towns of La Piedad, Churintzio, Zináparo, Numarán, Yurécuaro, Tanhuato, and Zacapu.

Cell phone video recorded by gunmen and shared on social media captured the scenes as local women receive the appliances and some chant “Mencho” — the nickname of CJNG’s leader Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera.

One of the gunmen who is off camera can be heard telling the women that the presents came from Mencho to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Even though the gunmen can be seen moving around the towns with rifles and sporting cartel banners, law enforcement and military forces did not respond to the scene. The deliveries highlight the impunity with which drug cartels are able to operate in parts of Mexico.

Drug cartels in Mexico routinely deliver presents and host parties for townspeople in poor communities during special occasions like Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Children’s Day as a way to garner community support, Breitbart Texas reported. In most of these cases, cartel gunmen are able to carry out these events without any interference from Mexican police or military forces.

CJNG is the same drug cartel behind numerous terror-style attacks where they routinely kill innocent victims in bars and restaurants in Mexico as a way to scare locals as part of their turf wars with other cartels. The criminal organization is linked to the use of car bombs, IEDs, and the use of drones to drop explosives on rivals and police forces, Breitbart Texas reported.

Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to Mexico City and the states of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and their original Spanish. Mexico's president calls out Alvin Bragg, saying his indictment is a scheme to keep Trump off the ballot

By Monica Showalter

Whatever you think of Mexico's leftist president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, there's no disputing he knows every dirty trick in the third world playbook, having been on the receiving end of at least some of it.

He's watching what's going on in the U.S. now, with Manhattan's "let-'em-all-out" district attorney, Alvin Bragg, seeking to indict President Trump on felony campaign finance charges, and smells the stench of 'banana republic' all over it.

According to Newsweek:

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday defended Donald Trump, saying a potential indictment of the former president could be a move to prevent him from seeking reelection.

"Right now, former President Trump is declaring that they are going to arrest him," López Obrador, who is also known by his initials AMLO, said during a press conference. "If that were the case...it would be so that his name doesn't appear on the ballot."

And it does have the stench of 'banana republic' all over it. A sudden epiphany of concern for rule of law, from a district attorney who let every crook out he could, is obviously about politics, not rule of law. Keeping Trump off the ballot is the obvious aim here and AMLO from abroad could see it from experience.

AMLO also pointed out that the U.S., which blew up the Nordstream II pipeline, had no business lecturing others on rule of law.

The Biden administration's response to that was predictably mealy mouthed.

That was wretched, given how little the Biden administration is doing to halt the fentanyl inundation with his open border.

What's more, it follows from AMLO's earlier statements that fraud had tainted the last U.S. presidential election. He experienced that himself in 2006, when he had been ahead in the polls, but ballot counting in the dead of night suddenly stopped, went dark -- and then resumed with the other candidate in the lead. Been there, done that. AMLO was one of the very last world leaders to recognize Joe Biden as president, while the likes of even presumed allies, such as then-U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu, fell all over themselves to quickly congratulate Joe Biden.

AMLO has a long memory, and said so himself

Newsweek's writer, who is also a Reforma correspondent in Mexico City, knows the backstory well, adding AMLO's explanation for his statement:

As for why AMLO might be supporting Trump ahead of a possible arrest, the Mexican leader alluded to criminal accusations he has faced himself. In 2022, a veteran Mexican politician and an investigative journalist said López Obrador and his government had links to organized crime, which the president has fervently denied.

López Obrador, who became president in 2018, has said election fraud caused him to lose his attempts to gain the office in 2006 and 2012.

"I say this because I too have suffered from the fabrication of a crime, when they didn't want me to run," López Obrador said Tuesday while discussing Trump. "And this is completely anti-democratic.... Why not allow the people to decide?"

Which is all entirely true.

Three thing stand out there:

First, that this kangaroo clown show indictment is being closely watched internationally, and the message being sent is that U.S. politics is starting to resemble the politics of a third world country where opponents are jailed on invented charges quite contrary to what the law says in a bid to keep an inconvenient opposition leader off the ballot. We've seen it in Venezuela, in Russia, in Pakistan, and even in France; it goes on in any place where political standards are low and a ruling elite is more convinced of its divine right to rule than it is of representative democracy.

Second, AMLO's relations with Joe Biden must be abysmal. U.S.-Mexico relations must be at some kind of unannounced low point for the Mexican president to make that kind of statement about the U.S. when similarly situated politicians -- such as Brazil's President Luiz Inacio "Lula" da Silva, and Israel's Binyamin Netanyahu -- could say the same thing from experience as AMLO did, but didn't. Lula also got railroaded on questionable charges as his first term ended, and then came back to win a second election, albeit apparently a fraud-tainted one. Netanyahu's experience was similar. But they haven't said anything, AMLO did, laying out what was going on and what everyone abroad could see what was going on.

Third, it signals that AMLO will always be there for Joe Biden whenever he or his Democrats engage in banana republic politics. What could be more fun for someone in a shambling democracy that's been held up to scorn for years in the past, to hold up the U.S. as no better than they have been, and oftentimes, actually worse. It's a way of saying 'cut the crap' on American exceptionalism, and AMLO is glad to do that.

AMLO may not be the sort of person a Trump voter would vote for if he were running for office in the U.S., he's basically the Bernie Sanders of Mexico, but he should be lauded and respected for his independence and courage all the same, even if it's motivated a tad by resentment of the U.S. There's no doubt he's right and speaking truth from experience.

The U.S. political scene is becoming Latinamericanized, as Eric Hoffer once put it. Now it's getting bad out there, and those who have been there and done that abroad are noticing, and like a doleful Greek chorus, delivering their reproach.

By weight, 86 percent of heroin that entered the United States in 2016 was of Mexican origin, according statistics from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Why does it matter?  Well, because the U.S. under President Trump is trying hard to get along with the new Mexican administration, run by the leftist Andrés Manuel López-Obrador.  His followers are the top suspects in this mysterious helicopter crash, which, if the investigation leads anywhere, is likely to cast a Putinesque pall over López-Obrador just as it gets its grounding.  Prepare for relations to deteriorate if that grows as a backstory.

Mexican Arkancide?

Sometimes, the coincidences get just too...coincidental.

Now we have, in Mexico, the sudden helicopter crash of a newly elected governor, after an apparently very bitter election.  Here's the Globe and Mail report:

A Mexican governor and her senator husband were killed on Monday in a helicopter crash near the city of Puebla in central Mexico, the government said, just days after she had taken office following a bitterly contested election.

Martha Erika Alonso, a senior opposition figure and governor of the state of Puebla, died with Rafael Moreno, a senator and former Puebla governor, when their Agusta helicopter came down on Monday afternoon shortly after take-off, the government said.

This seems to happen a lot in Mexico, quite unlike any comparable place in the region that I know of.

A number of Mexican politicians have died in aircraft accidents in recent years, including federal interior ministers in 2008 and 2011.  The latter two were also members of the PAN.

Maybe it was just the wildest of coincidences, but given the savage character of Mexican politics, I think it's natural to be a little suspicious.  In most of these incidents, the motive is suspected but not utterly obvious.  This one is different: it came after a bitterly contested election that the rabid left says was stolen.  It sounds like the sort of fury we saw from the left when Trump won – except that now we see Mexican politics at play, potentially a straight-up assassination, possibly by the embittered left.

Mexico sees a lot of these helicopter downings, and what's more, it sees a lot of full blown assassinations.  A presidential candidate from before Mexico got into multi-party politics, Luis Donaldo Colosio, was straight-out assassinated in 1994, and his wife died under murky circumstances shortly after that.  Other elected officials have been gunned down or else died in mysterious car crashes.  There was definitely one of those in Michoacán.  Yes, some probably were the work of drug-dealers.  But others were far more likely to be Mexico's toxic politics.  It does happen.

Yet the Mexican government can get real touchy when you bring up any suspicions about the helicopter crash phenomenon.  I remember how furious Mexico City's response was to an actually sympathetic editorial I wrote for Investor's Business Daily, I think in 2008, when a Mexican official was similarly killed in a helicopter crash.  At the time, they were obviously worried about the potential impact on foreign investment, but my thought was to praise the Mexicans for their resolve and sacrifice in fighting drug lords.  That's not the way they think over there.

Perhaps even more, it matters because Mexico's politics seems to be the model for Democratic Party politics these days as rage over Trump dominates.  In California, ballot-harvesting has been adopted as a legal practice, in what's a straight-out cultural appropriation of Mexican politics.  If the Democrats are planning to make themselves the "perfect dictatorship" along the PRI model of one-party rule, starting in California and taking that style national, well, the unhappy question is, what else are they borrowing from Mexican politics as they (without saying so, of course) borrow from the Mexican Model?  Yes, it sounds far-fetched.  But we also know how implacably angry the Democrats still are at the election of Donald Trump and how they like to get away with things.

President Lopez-Obrador and the Wall

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/12/president_lopezobrador_and_the_wall.html

By Silvio Canto, Jr.

Over the last few years, I've had conversations with friends in Mexico.  We usually end up talking about the border.  For us, the border is illegal immigration.  For Mexicans, it's guns and cash corrupting a very fragile political system.

As a Mexican friend said recently, the cartels have the politicians in their pockets, especially in the small towns where many of these vans full of cash and guns drive through.

There are many reasons to build that border wall, as former Secretary of Education William Bennett said on Sunday:

By weight, 86 percent of heroin that entered the United States in 2016 was of Mexican origin, according statistics from the Drug Enforcement Administration.

"After 9/11 we shut down the border. When we shut down the border, drugs didn't come in," Bennett said. "If you shut down that border, if you close it off, if you build a wall, it can have a real and profound difference."

There is another reason, as any rational Mexican will tell you.

On a weekly basis, lots of cash and guns go south.  They are the profits and rewards of the drugs going north.  According to unofficial estimates:

Officials in Mexico believe the tide of laundered money could be as high as $50bn per year, a sum equal to about three per cent of Mexico's legitimate economy -- more than all its oil exports or spending on key social programmes. Internationally, money laundering represents between two and five per cent of global GDP, or between $800bn and $2tn annually, according to the UNODC.

It would be more difficult for money or guns to go south if you had a wall on the border.

So President Trump should pick up the phone and call President Lopez-Obrador.  He should thank him for keeping the caravans in Mexico and discuss the benefits of the border wall.  Why wouldn't the Mexican president support the wall?  I'm sure that the Mexican army and police would love to see that wall go up.

The lack of a stable border hurts both sides.

Mexican Presidents Deny They Took Bribes from El Chapo

https://www.breitbart.com/border/2018/11/14/mexican-presidents-deny-they-took-bribes-from-el-chapo/

Two former Mexican presidents publicly denied taking bribes from the Sinaloa Cartel. The statements came after the legal defense for Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera made contrary claims this week.

The drug lord is facing several money laundering and drug trafficking charges at a federal trial in New York. In his opening statement, defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman spoke of bribes “including the very top, the current president of Mexico and the former.”

Soon after the statements became public, Mexico’s government issued a statement denying the allegations. Eduardo Sanchez, the spokesman for current Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto said the statements were false and “defamatory.”

Former Mexican President Felipe Calderon took to social media to personally deny the allegations, claiming that neither El Chapo or the Sinaloa Cartel paid him bribes.

Under Guzman’s leadership, the Sinaloa Cartel became the largest drug trafficking organization in the world with influence in every major U.S. city.

The allegations against Pena Nieto are not new. In 2016, Breitbart News reported on an investigation by Mexican journalists which revealed how Juarez Cartel operators funneled money into the 2012 presidential campaign. The investigation was carried out by Mexican award-winning journalist Carmen Aristegui and her team. The subsequent scandal became known as “Monexgate” for the cash cards that were given out during Peña Nieto’s campaign. The allegations against Pena Nieto went largely unreported by U.S. news outlets.

Mexico: Where Is Your Shame?

At a demonstration Wednesday in Mexico City against Arizona's law.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Immigration: Mexico's government gloated triumphantly after a federal judge's injunction blocked Arizona's immigration law. But it's no victory for Mexico. In fact, Mexico's leaders ought to be mortified.

As radical immigration activists crowed with glee and the Obama administration claimed victory, Mexico's government joined the applause.

Calling Judge Susan Bolton's injunction Wednesday "a step in the right direction," Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa declared: "The government of Mexico would like to express its recognition for the determination demonstrated by the federal government of the United States and the actions of the civil organizations that organized lawsuits against the SB 1070 law."

In reality, it ought to be ashamed. Supposedly framed as an issue of federal power pre-empting state power, it's hardly Mexico's business. But Mexico made a big show of saying its interest was in protecting its nationals from the dreadful racism of Arizona that its own citizens, curiously enough, keep fleeing to.

Espinosa said her government was busy collecting data on civil rights violations and her department had issued an all-out travel warning to Mexican nationals about Arizona.

That's where Mexico's hypocrisy is just too much.

First, Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the U.S. Oh, it says it doesn't, but it prints comic book guides for would-be illegal immigrants and provides ID cards for illegals once they get here. In Arizona alone, Mexico keeps five consulates busy.

That's not out of love for its own citizens, but because Mexicans send cash back to Mexico that helps finance the government.

Instead of selling its wasteful state-owned oil company or getting rid of red tape to create jobs in Mexico, Mexico spends the hard currency from remittances. It fails to look at why its citizens leave.

According to the Heritage Foundation-Wall Street Journal 2010 Index of Economic Freedom, Mexico's big problem is — no shock — government corruption, where it ranks below the world average.

That's where Mexico's cartels come in.

Mexico's encouragement of illegal immigration undercuts its valiant war against its smuggling cartels. The cartels' prowess and firepower have made them the only ones who can smuggle effectively across the border. U.S. law enforcers say they now control human-smuggling on our southern border.

Feed them immigrants and they grow more cash-rich — and right now, immigrant smuggling is about a third of the cartels' income.

Mass graves and car bombings are signs of criminal organizations getting bigger, and more powerful. Juarez, which has lost 5,000 people this year, bleeds because cartels fight over not just who gets the drug routes, but who gets the illegal-immigrant smuggling routes, too.

Aside from the cartel mayhem in Mexico, the bodies are piling up in the Arizona desert and U.S. Border Patrol rescues of abandoned illegals left to die have risen.

It's not the desert's fault, and it's certainly not Uncle Sam's fault, as activists claim. No, it's the fact that Mexicans are encouraged to emigrate. Criminal cartels don't fear abandoning their human cargo in the desert, as long as Mexico does nothing and blames Uncle Sam.

Hearing Mexico's government now cheer the Arizona ruling, which will only encourage more illegal immigration, gives the country's regime a pretty inhuman face.

If Mexico had any decency, it would do all it could to discourage illegal immigration and keep a respectful silence about Arizona.

It needs U.S. support for its war on cartels. Instead of insulting American citizens, Mexico should confront directly the reasons why its people are so desperate to leave, and do all in its power to destroy the cartels that are slowly killing the nation. That includes defunding the murderous gangs by halting illegal immigration.

Mexican Judge Denies Bond for Cartel Boss Wanted in Texas

https://www.breitbart.com/border/2018/11/18/mexican-judge-denies-bond-for-cartel-boss-wanted-in-texas/

2:45

MONTERREY, Nuevo Leon – A Mexican federal judge has ruled against the release of a recently captured cartel boss. The man is wanted by U.S. authorities in connection to a high-profile cartel-execution near Dallas.

In a court hearing, a federal judge in Monterrey ruled against releasing Luis Lauro “La Mora or La China” Ramirez Bautista. He ordered that he be held without bond until further hearings. Officials removed the wanted drug boss to the Cadereyta state prison. As Breitbart News first reported in an exclusive article, detectives with the Nuevo Leon’s State Investigations Agency arrested Ramirez Bautista at a checkpoint after the wanted drug lord left a bar near the Barrio Antiguo neighborhood in Monterrey.

Prior to his arrest, Ramirez Bautista allegedly attempted to run over a law enforcement official at the checkpoint and then resisted the arrest. During the arrest, authorities seized a.38o caliber handgun carried by the wanted drug lord.

The man known as La Mora is a key boss with a criminal organization that once belonged to the Beltran Leyva Cartel but has since branched off and become independent and highly dangerous. Under orders from his boss Rodolfo “El Gato” Villarreal, Ramirez Bautista is believed to have played a role in helping mastermind the 2013 murder of Gulf Cartel attorney Juan Jesus Guerrero Chapa. As Breitbart News reported, Guerrero Chapa was gunned down in the ritzy Dallas suburb of Southlake after a long-term surveillance operation. The murder was personal in nature since Ramirez Bautista’s boss El Gato blamed Guerrero Chapa for the murder of his father.

Ramirez Bautista is wanted by U.S. authorities in the ongoing case against Villarreal and federal authorities had added him to a most wanted list of fugitive cartel bosses in the Texas border region.

The ruling by the judge denying bond for Ramirez Bautista comes as a surprise since in recent months, as Breitbart News has reported, federal judges in Mexico have been releasing an alarming number of cartel bosses by ruling their arrests as illegal or alleging some other bureaucratic error. The man known as La Mora had been arrested in 2017. However, a Mexican federal judge ruled at the time that the raid that led to his capture was illegal and ordered his release.

Soon after the most recent arrest, gunmen from El Gato’s criminal organization murdered 34-year-old Santiago Aaron Urbina Arellano. This man managed Bar Ambria, where Ramirez Bautista visited prior to his arrest. It is believed that the gunmen targeted the bar manager suspecting that he may have tipped off law enforcement.

Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. VIDEO: Mexico’s President Meets with El Chapo’s Mother

Mexico’s President briefly met with the mother of infamous drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman during his work visit in the coastal state of Sinaloa.

In a video leaked to multiple news outlets including Breitbart Texas, Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) can be seen exchanging pleasantries with Consuelo Loera, the mother of jailed the jailed Sinaloa Cartel kingpin.

The short video captured the moment when AMLO walks up to a white SUV where Loeara is sitting inside. Through the window, he shakes her hand and speaks briefly with her before walking back to his staff.

“I’m coming to greet you, don’t get down,” the Mexican president is heard saying, “I got your letter.”

Mexican government sources revealed to Breitbart Texas that the letter mentioned in the video is one sent by Loera asking for help in getting a visa so she can visit her son. El Chapo is currently serving a life-term in prison in the U.S. for several drug trafficking and money laundering charges. As Breitbart Texas reported, El Chapo’s trial confirmed the widespread corruption of government officials at the highest levels in Mexico. Witness testimony pointed to alleged bribes to former Mexican presidents and even money that went into one of AMLO’s failed presidential campaigns.

Last year, AMLO was harshly criticized for ordering the release of El Chapo’s son Ovidio “El Raton” Guzman Lopez shortly after his military and police forces captured him in Culiacan Sinaloa in October, Breitbart Texas reported. After the release, AMLO and his top government officials claimed that they released El Chapo’s son to prevent an escalation of violence after gunmen from the Sinaloa Cartel threatened to carry out numerous attacks.

The visit to Sinaloa by Lopez Obrador comes at a time when Mexico is dealing with a critical phase of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic where the numbers are growing in an exponential manner and have reached over 990 cases so far.

El Chapo Trial: Former Mexican President Peña Nieto Took $100 Million Bribe, Witness Says

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/15/nyregion/el-chapo-trial.html

The bribe was delivered to Enrique Peña Nieto, the former president of Mexico, through an intermediary, according to a witness at the trial of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the drug lord known as El Chapo.

By Alan Feuer

The former president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, took a $100 million bribe from Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the infamous crime lord known as El Chapo, according to a witness at Mr. Guzman’s trial.

The stunning testimony was delivered Tuesday in a New York courtroom by Alex Cifuentes Villa, a Colombian drug lord who worked closely with Mr. Guzmán from 2007 to 2013, when the kingpin was hiding from the law at a series of remote ranches in the Sierra Madre mountains.

“Mr. Guzmán paid a bribe of $100 million to President Peña Nieto?” Jeffrey Lichtman, one of Mr. Guzmán’s lawyers, asked Mr. Cifuentes during cross-examination.

“Yes,” Mr. Cifuentes said.

Mr. Guzmán may offer more details soon. Shortly after the jury was excused around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mr. Lichtman submitted his client’s name to the prosecution as a potential witness for the defense, confirming that the drug trafficker might testify in his own trial.

Mr. Lichtman said that adding Mr. Guzman’s name to the witness list does not guarantee that he will testify. It is simply “possible.”

“If I didn’t put him on the list, it would possibly foreclose the possibility for him to testify,” Mr. Lichtman said in an interview. “So, I was just being inclusive.”

Mr. Guzmán’s testimony would be a stunning development. While his lieutenants have shared details about the Sinaloa cartel’s operations, the kingpin himself could offer even more intimate information, such as how he possibly bribed a president of Mexico.

According to Mr. Cifuentes, Mr. Peña Nieto first reached out to Mr. Guzmán about the time he was elected president in late 2012, asking the drug lord for $250 million in exchange for calling off a nationwide manhunt for him.

But Mr. Guzmán made a counteroffer, Mr. Cifuentes added, saying he would give Mr. Peña Nieto only $100 million.

“The message was that Mr. Guzmán didn’t have to stay in hiding?” Mr. Lichtman asked.

“Yes,” Mr. Cifuentes said, “that very thing is what Joaquin said to me.”

Mr. Lichtman, quoting Mr. Cifuentes’s notes from an interview he gave to American authorities in 2016, asked whether Felipe Calderón, who preceded Mr. Peña Nieto as Mexico’s president, took a bribe in 2008 from one of Mr. Guzmán’s rivals, the Beltrán-Leyva brothers.

“I don’t recall this incident very well,” Mr. Cifuentes answered. He added moments later, “Right now, I do not remember that.”

Mr. Peña Nieto and Mr. Calderón could not yet be reached for comment.

While other witnesses at Mr. Guzmán’s trial in Federal District Court in Brooklyn have testified about huge payoffs from traffickers to the Mexican police and public officials, the testimony about Mr. Peña Nieto was the most egregious allegation yet. If true, it suggests that corruption by drug cartels had reached into the highest level of Mexico’s political establishment.

After testifying about the two presidents, Mr. Cifuentes rattled off other bribes that Mr. Guzmán and his allies had paid to Mexican officials. On at least two occasions, he said, the kingpin gave the Mexican military between $10 million and $12 million to launch operations to “either kill or capture” associates of the Beltrán-Leyva brothers during his war with them.

Mr. Cifuentes also said the Mexican federal police not only turned a blind eye to drug trafficking, but occasionally took part in it. Once, he told jurors, traffickers gave the police photographs of several suitcases packed with cocaine that were sent by the cartel on an airplane from Argentina to Mexico. The police picked up the suitcases from the baggage claim, Mr. Cifuentes said, and sold the drugs themselves.

All of this came on Mr. Cifuentes’s exhausting second day as a witness at Mr. Guzmán’s trial. He has already confessed to a staggering array of crimes.

On the stand, Mr. Cifuentes admitted to hatching a failed murder plot with the Hell’s Angels in Canada. He acknowledged buying plastic explosives from the widow of a Honduran drug trafficker. He said he paid a judge in Ecuador $500,000 to throw out the case of an Ecuadorean military officer accused of working with the cartel, adding that he later helped kidnap the officer when it seemed that he was cheating Mr. Guzmán.

There were lurid hints that top Mexican leaders might have been compromised by dirty money from the start of the trial in November. In his opening statement, Mr. Lichtman claimed his client had been framed for years by a conspiracy hatched by his partner, Ismael Zambada García, in league with “crooked” American drug agents and a “completely corrupt” Mexican government, including two of its presidents.

At the time, Mr. Peña Nieto and Mr. Calderón released statements calling the accusations false. The judge in the case, Brian M.

Cogan, later cautioned Mr. Lichtman against making promises to the jury that the evidence in the case would not support.

Then, as the first week of the trial came to an end, Mr. Guzmán’s lawyers informed Judge Cogan at a sidebar conference that a coming witness, Jesus Zambada García, Ismael Zambada’s brother, would testify, if asked, that Mexican presidents had taken bribes from the Sinaloa drug cartel.

But Judge Cogan forbade the testimony, citing the embarrassment it would cause to unnamed “individuals and entities” who were not directly involved in the case.

On Tuesday, however, Judge Cogan allowed Mr. Cifuentes to testify about what he knew concerning bribes to Mexican presidents with only a few interruptions.

At one point, under questioning by Mr. Lichtman, Mr. Cifuentes acknowledged that his personal assistant, Andrea Velez Fernandez, had worked for a political consultant, J.J. Rendón, who was hired by Mr. Peña Nieto’s presidential campaign. Mr. Cifuentes said Ms. Velez had once sent him photographs of “suitcases filled with cash.”

When Mr. Lichtman asked if the suitcases were “destined for Mr. Peña Nieto,” prosecutors objected on the grounds of relevance.

“Agreed,” Judge Cogan said.

After that, there was no more discussion of the suitcases.

Foreign meddling? Mexican ex-envoy urges Mexico to sic Trump's US political opponents on him

By Monica Showalter

Sic 'em!

That's the threat we read from Arturo Sarukhan, a former Mexican ambassador to the U.S. who wrote in an op-ed in the Financial Times Sunday stating that while Mexico was "the adult in the room" for placating Trump over his threat to impose tariffs if Mexico doesn't halt the border surge of late, he wanted to see Mexico get a lot tougher on the U.S. over the agreement it made.  Quite explicitly, he asked Mexico to use President Trump's domestic political opponents against him if Trump gets any tougher on Mexico for failing to keep up its end of the bargain, as the latter has vowed to do.

He writes:

Mr López Obrador should not blink and kowtow as both countries ascertain whether Mexico’s efforts to deter Central American transmigration have worked. But if Mr Trump does return to the warpath, Mexico needs to hold the line and work with its many allies and stakeholders in the US to pile political pressure on the White House.

"Many allies and stakeholders in the U.S."?  Does the writer of this, the Mexican ambassador from the country's previous conservative administration (2007–2013) mean registered foreign agents?  Because he's certainly calling on Mexico's current president to ask these people to do Mexico's bidding.  Sounds like a real interesting one for the lawmen to look into, now that they are busting people on that rap for not registering these days, as Tony Podesta and Paul Manafort can attest.

Or does he mean activating and working with House speaker Nancy Pelosi?  Look how cozy he is with her, in this 2009 Cinco de Mayo celebration photo posted on one of Pelosi's own Flickr sites.

He ends his op-ed with a warning to Trump that he won't like the result if he gets any tougher with Mexico in trying get it to keep its end of the bargain in trying to halt the border surge:

In the coming weeks and months, while Mr Trump plays checkers, Mexico will need to play chess. The US has had the luxury of an ally nation at its southern border for decades. Wrecking the new US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, and its political and economic foundations, will have a hugely detrimental impact on the bilateral relationship that has been built so painstakingly since the creation of Nafta and in the aftermath of 9-11. Mr Trump should be very careful what he wishes for.

Careful what he wishes for?  What we are reading here is a threat, from a foreign power, to activate Trump's domestic leftist enemies (and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce) against him, all in the name of advancing Mexico's interests.

Sarukhan is not a Mexican official now, but as a former senior diplomat, he remains a pretty influential person linked to Mexico.  It's not far-fetched to ask if he remains in contact with the Mexican government.  We know he has some impressive buddies on that front — as well as some impressive ones over here, given his long exposure to life in the states.

The Chinese often will use someone outside government to state what they really think, while maintaining a cover of deniability.  It's quite possible Mexico is using Sarukhan through this tactic, too.

Sarukhan also is an experienced professional diplomat.  He knows how to choose his words precisely and avoid gaffes, which is the bottom-line work of diplomacy.  There is no doubt he meant to write what he wrote with that threat.

In making a statement like this, it's quite possible to think Mexico has effectively announced that it will work to oppose the elected president to advance its own national interests.  One can only wonder what exactly they have in mind.

Whatever it is, it's foreign meddling.  So where are the Democrats' howls?  Don't hear them, at least not yet, and given that Democrats are clearly the people Sarukhan is talking about getting the help from, don't expect we will.  But it doesn't make the matter any less outrageous to voters here, who'd like to be able to choose their president for what he says he will do for them without foreign powers placing their interests ahead of them and using local pawns to get it all done.  Sunlight is about the only tool we have for now.  They're coming for our president.

Feds Seize 5,000 Pounds of Meth Setting Record for California Border County

4U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California

BOB PRICE

9 Jul 202253

Federal and local law enforcement officials seized a record-setting load of cartel-connected methamphetamine in San Diego County, California. The drugs, loaded 20-foot box truck, weighed in excess of 5,000 pounds and are reported to be the largest seizure in San Diego County.

During the afternoon of July 7, federal officials observed a box truck enter the U.S. through the Otay Mesa Commercial Port of Entry, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. Law enforcement agencies surveilled the truck to its destination in National City, California. The agents watched as the alleged drug smugglers unloaded the truck into a Dodge van.

At that point, law enforcement officers moved in and arrested Rafael Alzua, 37; Mario Contreras, 41; Ethgar Velazquez, 44; and Galdrino Contreras, 41, prosecutors stated. Officials listed all four suspects as residents of Tijuana, Mexico.

An inspection of the boxes revealed more than 5,000 pounds of drugs that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

“This is a significant accomplishment by our law enforcement partners,” U.S. Attorney Randy Grossman said in a written statement. “Due to stellar work by law enforcement agents, the government stopped more than 5,000 pounds of methamphetamine from being distributed on our streets.”

The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Border Crime Suppression Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Border Patrol.

DEA Special Agent in Charge Shelly S. Howe stated, “This monumental seizure represents another win against drug cartels that fuel addiction in the United States. Because of our great partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, we will continue to disrupt the cartels’ flow of drugs into our cities.”

San Diego County Sheriff Anthony C. Ray added, “I am grateful for the hard work, vigilance, and steadfast dedication of our Sheriff’s Detectives, as well as our local, state, and federal partners. Our partnership and collaboration allow us to share information that is absolutely critical in keeping drugs from entering our streets and holding drug traffickers accountable.”

The four men from Mexico now face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. If convicted, each could face a prison term of ten years to life and a fine of up to $10 million.

Court records were not yet available in the document tracking system.

EXCLUSIVE DOCUMENTS: Mexican Governor is the Nephew of a Cartel Boss in U.S. Custody

Facebook Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla

ILDEFONSO ORTIZ and BRANDON DARBY

15 Jun 20220

3:18

The governor of a Mexican state plagued with cartel violence for years is the nephew of a cartel boss and a cousin to another. Both face drug charges in a U.S court. Breitbart Texas obtained birth certificates confirming the familial relationships between the governor and the crime bosses. The politician has denied such familial connections in the past.

This week, Adalberto Fructoso “Fruto” Comparan Rodriguez, the former mayor of Aguililla, Michoacan, and son Adalberto Fructoso Comparan Bedolla, along with four other cartel members, went before a federal judge in Florida this week. They were notified of the drug charges against them and were ordered to be held without bond.
Breitbart Texas obtained Mexican birth certificates showing the relationships between current Michoacan Governor Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla and the accused through marriage. La Silla Rota had published information about Ramirez’s relatives during his gubernatorial race in 2021, but only now do documents publicly confirm the connections.

The wife of Comparan Rodriguez is Anabel Bedolla Marin from Aguililla, Michoacan — a region under the control of Carteles Unidos.

Anabel Bedolla is the sister of Maria de Jesus Bedolla Marin, who is the mother of the politician.

Ramirez Bedolla, born in Morelia, Michoacan, had previously tried to minimize his relationship by claiming his aunt and uncle were separated for more than 10 years and had no contact with them.

Comparan Rodriguez is accused of being one of the leaders of Carteles Unidos in Michoacan and responsible for large-scale shipments of meth into the U.S. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Comparan Rodriguez would hide the drugs inside concrete tiles and dilute meth in paint. Authorities in Guatemala arrested Comparan Rodriguez in March 2021 and helped get him extradited to the U.S. in January 2022. Authorities arrested his son, Comparan Bedolla, in March 2021 in Miami while they reportedly tried to remove liquid meth from paint.

Michoacan is one of the most violent states in Mexico due to a violent turf war between Carteles Unidos (a collection of smaller organizations and “self-defense” groups) against Cartel Jalisco New Generation for control of vast drug production areas and smuggling corridors. Mexico’s federal government has been unable to reduce violence in the region.

Biden's Deathly Presidency

By Jeffrey Folks

For four years under President Trump, America enjoyed peace, security, and unparalleled prosperity.  Trump's presidency was a historic era of good times in which we began to regain faith in the American Dream.  Now we have the nightmare, and the death and destruction that go with it.

Yes, the Trump Era was prosperous, with historically low unemployment rates, low inflation, energy independence, and rising wages.  But aside from that, the most important thing about Trump's presidency was the fact that Americans were secure, as they had not been under Obama and certainly are not under Biden.  Under Trump, America was in so many senses vibrant and "alive" with pride in our country and hope for its future.

Now we have regular mass shootings in which citizens disarmed by the State have no way to defend themselves.  Overseas, we have a war in Ukraine, the threat of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, and Iran developing nuclear weapons with the encouragement of the Biden administration.  The common thread is death and the fear that goes with it.  And this does not even include Biden's aggressive defense of abortion on demand.

Under President Trump, I lived without fear.  I knew that Trump supported my right to defend my home and that he supported the police who defended me as well.  Just having the president and his administration on my side made me breathe easier.  America was moving in the right direction, as was confirmed by every opinion poll during Trump's time in office before COVID was unleashed.

Long-term death rates are more a matter of demographics than policy, and they have been rising ever since Obama took office in 2008.  But murder rates, deaths in war and civil unrest, drug overdose deaths, and accidental deaths are attributable to policy, and they have been rising under Biden, even during his short time in office.  Under Biden, the U.S. murder rate, which had been declining under President Trump, is the highest in 25 years.  According to former N.Y. police commissioner Howard Safir, the spike in violence is partly attributable to lack of support for police and soft-on-crime prosecutors.  And it is Biden, with his anti-police rhetoric and refusal to prosecute (as in the case of those picketing Justice Kavanaugh's home), who is responsible for this climate of anarchy.

Now I plan my trips carefully, avoid eye contact with strangers, and carry only a driver's license and credit card.  I drive inconspicuously as well, given the explosion of road rage incidents.

The most galling thing is that Biden never says a word about the victims of crime unless he can twist the incident into an anti-gun lecture, and he takes no action to protect anyone, especially law-abiding citizens in middle-class neighborhoods like my own.  In this and so many other ways, he seems on the side of those who wish to destroy us.  It's no accident that murder rates are spiraling at home and war is breaking out overseas.  Both are a response to Biden's weakness, and death is the consequence.

I fear there will be more death ahead.  I expect an invasion in Taiwan, Moldova, or Finland, and new outbreaks of violence in the Middle East involving either Iran or its surrogates.  The incomprehensible Iran deal, which Biden is pushing, would "make Biden 'the biggest funder of terrorism in the world,'" according to Rep. Jim Banks.  "Terrorism" is not just a derogatory word; it is the act of murdering innocent human beings, including women and children.  Hasn't that fact entered into Biden's Iran deal calculations?

Biden's weakness has emboldened our enemies, and their actions pose a threat to our security.  This is the way major wars begin.  They can be prevented only by the projection of force of the kind we saw under President Trump, and Biden projects about as much force as a lady's fan.  His weakness will get us into another war, and our young men and women will die in that war.  There is death hanging over us, and Biden seems oblivious, fumbling with his note cards to find some kind of answer.

There is a new national mood in America unlike anything I've seen since the 1960s: a sense of foreboding and caution based on the very real threat of violence and collapse.  There are more threats to our country, including the wealth destruction of inflation, to which Biden simply rolls his eyes, chuckles, and whispers some idiotic riposte.  There are more criminal gangs, and Biden just welcomes more in.  There is more road rage, more random shooting, more felons out on no bond/low bond.  And there is a callous and brutal disregard for the lives of the unborn.

In response to the mounting violence, Biden seems remote, fuddling with his microphone like a man slipping into dementia, and those around him seem inept, if not callous, including his new press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who is said to have "frequently stumbled" during her first weeks.  A president who is weak and advisers who are incompetent and anti-American to boot — that is a recipe for disaster, and disaster will end, as it always does, in poverty, destruction, and death.

There are bullies in the world who watched as Biden stumbled out of Afghanistan, and bullies don't have much respect for doddering fools who just want to survive a four-year term and leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

As a citizen, it is difficult to watch my country besieged by violence.  Biden's presidency has been deadly in every respect: turning off economic growth and imposing environmental restrictions, proposing inflation-adjusted cuts in national defense while paying off student loans, and putting citizens at risk with his anti-police rhetoric.

There is little chance of a second Biden term, but just another two and a half years is painful to imagine.  How many thousands will lose their lives because of one incompetent and wrong-headed leader?  How far will America go into danger and destruction?  And how much more difficult will it be for our next president, Trump or a Trump lookalike, to repair the damage and Make America Safe Again?

Republican Study Committee Creates Holistic Immigration Plan to Raise Wages, Grow Middle Class

The RSC Budget would prohibit federal funds from going to cities or jurisdictions operating as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants. There are at least 190 of these so-called sanctuary jurisdictions across the country,[7] and many cities have seen increased crime rates since declaring themselves sanctuary cities.[8

Mexico’s president is reviving calls for a continental superstate that would combine North American employers and South American employees – and sideline tens of millions of middle-class Americans. NEIL MUNRO

What's more, Mexico generally benefits from shipping its surplus uneducated population to the states to take the pressure valve off the potential for unrest. Corrupt Mexican officials often reap "fees" from letting illegal migrants from other countries as well as their own pass through their territory. MONICA SHOWALTER

The same continent-wide superstate was pushed in 2001 by President G.W. Bush and Mexico’s then-president, Vicente Fox. Their unpopular “Any Willing Worker” plan would have allowed U.S. employers to easily import low-wage employees from central and south America. It was derailed following the 9/11 attack.

The policy would spike Wall Street and Fortune 500 profits by giving them floods of cheap foreign workers plus many new foreign consumers. NEIL MUNRO

With Biden in office, America’s southern border has vanished entirely.

So, while we in America are getting a fair number of sex traffickers; mountains of fentanyl; low skilled, illegal workers who drive down wages; and more welfare mouths to feed, the Latin Americans who come here mostly want to work and mostly hew to traditional western, Christian values.       ANDREA WIDBURG

“Joe Biden is great on immigration. I guess depends on your perspective. If you’re a human trafficker, or drug dealer, you’d give him an A-plus, but theAmerican people would give him an F. The crisis at our border was not only entirely predictable, it was predicted. I predicted that if you campaign all year long on open borders, amnesty, and health care for illegals, you’re going to get more migrants at the border. That’s what’s happened since the election.”

“The greatest criminal threat to the daily lives of American citizens are the Mexican drug cartels.”
