THE NEO-FASCISM OF THE BIDEN REGIME - THE MOST DANGEROUS AND CORRUPT IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORY - Discredited But Massively Wealthy SPLC Working with Corrupt FBI The Biden regime is determined to silence dissidents.

Durham Report’s Cautionary Tale About Abuse of Power

A glimpse inside the cover-up of the Biden family influence peddling business.

[Editor’s note: Make sure to read Joseph Klein’s masterpiece contributions in Jamie Glazov’s new book: Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America.]

Special Counsel John Durham released his detailed final report following a four-year probe of the FBI’s mishandling of its investigation into former President Donald Trump’s and his 2016 presidential campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia. He concluded that the FBI rushed ahead with this investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane, based on “seriously flawed information” that showed up in the infamous Steele Dossier. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign funded the Steele Dossier as part of its scheme to invent ties between Trump and Russia. Driven by political bias against Mr. Trump, the FBI’s senior echelon proceeded with its investigation despite the lack of any corroborating information.

The report criticized senior FBI personnel for displaying “a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities.” The report noted their “significant reliance on investigative leads provided or funded (directly or indirectly) by Trump’s political opponents.”

The ex-FBI officials responsible for the bogus FBI investigation, together with the Democrat politicians and their allies in the mainstream media who perpetuated the Russia hoax lies, decided to shoot the messenger. Instead of eating humble pie and apologizing to all those whose lives were upended by their reckless actions, they attacked the Durham investigation as politically biased and characterized Mr. Durham’s findings as a “nothing-burger.”

Hillary Clinton, her accomplices in the campaign who used deceptive tactics to interfere in the 2016 election, and the senior ex-FBI officials who staged an attempted coup against the Trump administration escaped any punishment for their actions. However, that does not exonerate their gross abuses of the public trust.

The Durham report is a cautionary tale of how powerful people with malicious intent can operate to undermine America’s constitutional republic and manage to get away with it. As Daniel Greenfield noted in his May 17th FrontPage article entitled The Russiagate Players Got Rich and Escaped Consequences, “The lack of any meaningful consequences means that Russiagate will happen again.”

It is already happening, but this time it is happening to protect a president whom the deep state and mainstream media like rather than to destroy a president they hate.

Many of the same players in and out of government who are still part of what Mr. Greenfield called “the Washington D.C. network” have stepped in to cover up the Biden family’s pay-for-influence schemes.

The cover-up started in earnest with a public letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials that candidate Joe Biden used as a talking point during his presidential debate with Donald Trump. The letter was a crass attempt to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop story published prior to the 2020 election by the New York Post as having “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” The New York Post story, which has been proven to be entirely true, detailed how Hunter Biden used the position and influence of his father for personal gain.

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee has described the unseemly lead-up to the former intelligence officials’ public letter. The House committee reported that “former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell testified before the Committees that Secretary Blinken, then serving as a senior Biden campaign advisor, was the impetus of the public statement…Additionally, evidence suggests that senior Biden campaign officials, including now Secretary of State Antony Blinken, now Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates, and now Counselor to the President Steve Ricchetti, took active measures to discredit the allegations about Hunter Biden by exploiting the national security credentials of former intelligence officials and coordinated efforts to disseminate the statement with members of the media.”

Moreover, the House committee referenced testimony from a former CIA official that an employee of the CIA at the time “may have helped in the effort to solicit signatures for the statement.”

With the encouragement of FBI officials, Big Tech suppressed the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story. Mainstream media also did its part to suppress or discredit the story as Russian disinformation. They played defense for the Biden campaign. And they continue to protect President Biden from the growing evidence of the Biden family’s sprawling pay-for-influence business enterprise, which the president’s son Hunter spearheaded.

Months after the 2020 election, the left-wing New York Times and Washington Post finally acknowledged that the Hunter laptop and its contents were real. But then they switched gears and downplayed the significance of the information that the laptop has revealed.

Meanwhile, the federal law enforcement investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes and foreign business dealings, which goes back to 2018, has slowed to a crawl. No charges have yet been filed. Compare this with how the Department of Justice took just a few months to indict House Republican Representative George Santos for multiple felonies.

An IRS special agent has come forward recently to provide information on why the Hunter laptop investigation has taken so long. This IRS special agent supervised the Hunter Biden tax-related investigation at the IRS since early 2020.

According to the attorney for the IRS special agent who wrote a letter to members of Congress seeking whistleblower protection for his client, the IRS special agent wants to disclose “examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances if the subject were not politically connected.”  The “subject” is Hunter Biden.

The deep state did not take long to retaliate for the IRS special agent’s willingness to share his concerns with Congress that a cover-up was underway at his agency. The IRS removed this agent and his entire investigative team from the probe, reportedly at the direction of the Department of Justice.

The Republican-led House Oversight Committee is providing some checks and balances with its investigation into the Biden family influence peddling business enterprise. It has presented detailed evidence into how various foreign entities have funneled money into shell corporations that were set up as vehicles to distribute chunks of these funds to multiple Biden family accounts. Some of these distributions occurred during Joe Biden’s vice presidency. These foreign entities included companies in Communist China.

Democrat politicians and their allies in the mainstream media have used the same denialist playbook as they have done with the Durham report. They have vilified or simply dismissed the House Oversight Committee’s findings. Their party line is that Republicans are conducting a politically motivated vendetta against President Biden’s family to embarrass the president.

Moreover, Democrats and the media outlets carrying President Biden’s water say that congressional Republicans have not produced any evidence that Joe Biden himself has benefited financially from any of his family’s business dealings.

The FBI is stonewalling the House Oversight Committee’s investigation. It has refused to turn over a subpoenaed unclassified FBI generated form that a whistleblower alleged could implicate then-Vice President Joe Biden in a bribery scheme with a foreign national.

“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee. We’ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record, but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations. The FBI has failed to do both,” said the committee’s chairman Rep. James Comer.

This document itself could lead to proof that Joe Biden was directly involved in a bribery scheme relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. If it turns out that the FBI failed to follow up on the allegations of such a bribery scheme, the most plausible explanation is that its upper echelon has been engaging in a cover-up to protect the president.

In any case, there is ample evidence that President Biden lied when he said that he knows nothing about his son’s business dealings.

While then-Vice President Biden was the Obama administration’s point man in Ukraine and his son Hunter was serving on the Ukrainian company Burisma Holdings’ board for lucrative compensation, a Ukrainian prosecutor was investigating possible corruption at that company. Biden demanded during a trip to Ukraine in 2015 that this prosecutor be fired immediately, or the United States would withhold $1B in aid. “Well, son of a bitch. He got fired,” Biden boasted a few years later.

Hunter introduced his father to a Burisma board adviser less than a year before then-Vice President Biden issued his demand to Ukraine’s leadership to get rid of the prosecutor investigating Burisma. Previously the advisor had asked Hunter to use his “influence to convey a message / signal, etc. to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions.”

Hunter traveled with his father in 2013 to China where then-Vice President Biden was conducting official government business. During the same trip, his son was seeking money from Chinese investors for a private equity fund that Hunter was forming. Joe Biden managed to find time to meet with Hunter’s business partners during the trip.

In 2014, then-Vice President Biden “hosted a White House meeting with two Chinese energy executives with ties to his son Hunter,” according to White House visitor logs referenced by the New York Post.

And let us not forget about the e-mail sent to Hunter Biden on May 13, 2017, referring to a possible business deal with CEFC China Energy Co. The e-mail outlined a potential split of equity in a business venture to be formed with CEFC that included the words “10 held by H for the big guy?”

Tony Bobulinski, one of the recipients of this e-mail, has identified Joe Biden as the “big guy” who was presumably going to receive a 10% cut from the venture. “Bobulinski gave the FBI a five-hour interview” on October 23, 2020, the New York Post reported, “as well as the contents of his three cellphones containing encrypted messages between Hunter and Jim Biden [Joe Biden’s brother] and their business partners, emails, and financial documents detailing the Biden family’s influence-peddling operation in foreign countries during Joe’s vice presidency.”

As far as we know, there have been no FBI follow-up discussions with Mr. Bobulinski nor has he been called to testify to the grand jury investigating Hunter Biden.

Just a few days ago, Fox News reported that Chinese donors to the University of Pennsylvania, which houses Joe Biden’s think tank, included donors who “have ties to previous Hunter Biden business deals” and others “linked to the Chinese Communist Party.”

The Biden administration, congressional Democrats, and their allies in the mainstream media are doing everything they can to insulate President Biden from any accountability for misconduct as he seeks reelection in 2024. The many Americans who care about preserving the principles upon which the United States was founded must know the complete truth about President Biden’s knowledge of and involvement in his family’s pay-for-influence business before the 2024 election. Otherwise, if the cover-up continues, Joe Biden may be reelected under false pretenses.

Discredited But Massively Wealthy SPLC Working with Corrupt FBI

The Biden regime is determined to silence dissidents.

[Editor’s note: Make sure to read Robert Spencer’s masterpiece contributions in Jamie Glazov’s new book: Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America.]

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is one of the Left’s premier, well-heeled, and most dishonest and ruthless attack dogs. It relentlessly smears legitimate conservative individuals and groups by labeling them as purveyors of “hate” and lumping them in with the likes of the KKK and neo-Nazis. Its name-calling and defamation would be just more of the same rubbish that comes daily from the Left were it not for the fact that the social media giants and numerous other major corporations still take the massively discredited SPLC seriously and use its smear pieces as a guide to shun and deplatform various dissenters from the Leftist agenda. So the SPLC sounds like the perfect organization for the Biden regime to work with, right? Oh, absolutely. Now this sinister and hateful group is partnering with the equally corrupt and politicized FBI.

The Daily Signal reported Sunday that the FBI “appears, at least briefly, to have joined the Southern Poverty Law Center’s attempt to demonize Roman Catholics who follow the church’s teachings on marriage and who celebrate the Latin Mass.” One of those Catholics, Michael J. Matt, editor of a newspaper called The Remnant and producer of Remnant TV, noted that his organization, which is not remotely connected with violence or terrorism, was listed on a “leaked FBI memo,”  along with other Catholic groups that he pointed out were “defunct.”

Matt declared that this was an example the “FBI phoning it in,” as its list of “radical-traditional Catholic hate groups” came from a 2007 list compiled by the SPLC’s Heidi Beirich and Rhonda Brownstein. Matt asked incredulously: “They took Heidi Beirich and Rhonda Brownstein’s word for it, from 2007?!” He added: “There has been an explosion of traditional Catholic groups since Pope Benedict XVI brought back the Latin Mass. None of the new groups who are in positions of real influence are targeted in the memo.” That’s good, but the fact that the FBI is working with the SPLC and targeting law-abiding citizens because it disapproves of their religious beliefs is disquieting enough.

The Daily Signal notes that the SPLC “has branded mainstream conservative and Christian nonprofits ‘hate groups,’ placing them on a map with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan.” This includes Jihad Watch and the David Horowitz Freedom Center, which have committed no offense other than standing for human rights for all people. The Signal goes on to note that “former employees have condemned the ‘hate’ labeling as a ‘highly profitable scam’ tracing back to the co-founder’s talents as a fundraiser. In 2019, the SPLC fired that co-founder amid a racial discrimination and sexual harassment scandal, the full truth of which has yet to be revealed.”

Nevertheless, “the FBI’s Richmond, Virginia, office cited the SPLC in a January memo, which the national FBI office publicly rescinded in February. That memo listed nine organizations, most of which the SPLC first added to the list of ‘hate groups’ in 2007. The SPLC suggested that those organizations espouse and support antisemitism, and it has kept most of them on the list and the ‘hate map’ for nearly two decades.”

The FBI is not just keeping a list. In early March, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) asked Gestapo chief Merrick Garland, “Are you cultivating sources and spies in Latin Mass parishes and other Catholic parishes around the country?” Garland pleaded innocent, insisting, “No, the Justice Department does not do that and does not, uh, um, do investigations based on religion.” But it later came to light — okay, get ready for the shock of your life — that Garland was lying. The feds did have informants in Catholic churches, snooping around and looking for evidence of that domestic terror threat that the Biden regime keeps insisting is the worst such threat we face today. Nor is there any indication that they’ve taken these spies out of the pews.

Fox News reported on April 10 that the FBI “recently sought to develop sources inside Christian churches and Catholic dioceses as part of an effort to combat domestic terrorism.” This was clear from internal FBI documents that the House Judiciary Committee released to the public. The documents reveal that the FBI was attempting to use “mainline Catholic parishes” as “new avenues for tripwire and source development.”

The feds wanted to educate sympathetic Catholics about “the warning signs of radicalization,” and then get them to help stop the rosary-praying terrorist by obtaining “their assistance to serve as suspicious activity tripwires.” This is nothing short of breathtaking in its resolute determination to construct a reality other than the one we happen to be living in. If there were a steady stream of terrorists routinely “radicalized” in Catholic churches and going out to bring the wrath of the Immaculate Heart of Mary upon the populace, there might be some justification for this program. As it was, it was plain and simple harassment and scapegoating of Christians.

This criminal regime will not stop with Christians, either.

HOW MANY PIG GAMER LAWYERS DOES IT TAKE TO DESTROY AMERICA???

Blinken would be the first secretary of state—and the third-ever cabinet member—to be held in contempt of Congress. In 1975, the House Select Committee on Intelligence voted to charge then-secretary of state Henry Kissinger for failing to turn over records about covert operations during the Nixon administration, but the committee later withdrew the recommendation. Former attorneys general Eric Holder and Bill Barr were held in contempt in 2012 and 2019, respectively.

House Committee to Vote on Tony Blinken Contempt Charges Next Week

Blinken would become first secretary of state to be held in contempt of Congress

Secretary of State Antony Blinken (L) and Rep. Michael McCaul (R)

House Republicans are moving forward with criminal contempt proceedings against Secretary of State Antony Blinken next Wednesday over his failure to produce documents on the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R., Texas), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the "full committee will hold a markup to consider a resolution recommending the House of Representatives find U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in contempt of Congress."

Putting a markup on the schedule is the first major step towards criminal charges against Blinken, who would be the first secretary of state held in contempt of Congress. If the committee votes to recommend the charges, the matter will be sent to the floor for a full congressional vote in the Republican-controlled chamber.

Blinken missed a subpoena deadline last Thursday to turn over a trove of internal State Department documents to the committee about the bungled Afghanistan evacuation that left 13 Americans dead.

McCaul warned Blinken earlier this month that his continued refusal to hand over the records, which the committee subpoenaed in March, would result in contempt charges. One of the key documents the committee is seeking is a classified cable, which is believed to show the Biden administration knew the Taliban would seize control of the country after the U.S. withdrawal.

"The American people, particularly veterans and gold star families, deserve answers on how the Afghanistan withdrawal went so catastrophically wrong," McCaul told the Washington Free Beacon on Monday. "The July 2021 dissent cable from Kabul by 23 officials expressing dire concern over the Biden administration’s policy and the Department’s official response are key evidence."

Hang All the Members of the Liars’ Club?

The lying sharks swim and circle with impunity.

Federal prosecutors last week announced the indictment of U.S. Representative George Santos (R-N.Y.) on a host of charges, including misuse of federal campaign funds and wire fraud, almost all of them resulting from his pathological lies.

Certainly, Santos deserved the attention of prosecutors for lying on federal documents and affidavits that may have helped him win a congressional seat as well as personal lucre.

But if that’s the case, why haven’t federal prosecutors also gone after Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)? She clearly lied her way into a Harvard Law School professorship and an erstwhile presidential candidacy by claiming, in part, quite falsely she was a Native American, supposedly Harvard’s first indigenous law professor.

Her Senate colleague, Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), flatly lied (he said “misspoke”) about being a Vietnam War veteran. He never confessed to “misspeaking” about his résumé until caught. Both senators, apparently like Santos, gained political traction in their various campaigns from such lies, but the two apparently never put them in writing, or at least not as blatantly as did Santos.

New Federal Standards?

Are federal and states prosecutors now setting a new moral and legal standard by criminalizing Santos’ lies? If true, congratulations—it is long overdue.

Now can we please extend the long arm of the law to reach far beyond a bit player like Santos?

Why not reboot with the really big liars? Their lies far more undermined the integrity of our key agencies and indeed our national security.

So let us start with John Brennan, the former CIA director. He lied on two separate occasions, in one case while under oath before the U.S. Senate. His untruths were not mere campaign finance fabrications. They involved falsely swearing that the CIA did not spy on the computers of Senate staffers (“Let me assure you the CIA was in no way spying on [the committee] or the Senate.”). He also lied that U.S. drone missions in prior years had not killed innocent bystanders (“There hasn’t been a single collateral death because of the exceptional proficiency, precision of the capabilities that we’ve been able to develop.”).

Brennan, only when caught, admitted to both lies. But he faced zero consequences and, in fact, was soon rewarded with an on-air analyst job at MSNBC.

Then we come to James Clapper, the former director of the Office of National Intelligence. Like Santos, he lied. But unlike Santos, Clapper was under oath to Congress. And further unlike Santos, Clapper was not a small fish, but a whale in charge of coordinating the nation’s intelligence bureaus.

Clapper’s lies mattered a great deal, especially when he swore to Congress that the National Security Agency did not spy on Americans. (“No, sir. Not wittingly.”) When caught, Clapper confessed that he gave “the least untruthful answer.” (“I responded in what I thought was the most truthful, or least untruthful, manner by saying ‘no.’”). He faced zero consequences for his perjury. And like Brennan, he marketed his anti-Trump phobias into a comfortable cable news gig.

Note well that both Clapper and Brennan likely lied again when they signed the infamous Hunter Biden laptop letter, with a wink and nod suggesting it was a hallmark example of “Russian disinformation.”

Then we come to the former interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He is also currently working as a cable news commentator. McCabe admitted to lying—according to the inspector general, “done knowingly and intentionally”—four separate times to federal investigators, three times under oath. McCabe misled the country in matters that concerned a national election, more specifically lying that he had not leaked to the media to massage media narratives about the FBI’s investigation of the Clinton Foundation.

Then there is James Comey, another former FBI head, who confirmed McCabe had lied. He simply claimed on 245 occasions to House investigators and members that he either had no memory or had no knowledge, when asked under oath to explain some of the wrongdoing of the FBI during his directorship. Remember, Comey and the FBI signed off on the authenticity of Steele document material to obtain a FISA warrant, when they knew it was unreliable and Steele was not credible. Comey also likely leaked to the media a confidential memo officially memorializing a private conversation with the president of the United States.

Should we include yet another former FBI director? Robert Mueller swore under oath to Congress that he knew little about Fusion GPS (“I’m not familiar with that”) and more or less had ignored the Steele dossier. (“It’s not my purview.”) Mueller’s claims cannot be true because revelations about both were the very catalysts that prompted his own special counsel appointment.

Will the Santos prosecutors go after Anthony Fauci, the recently retired head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases?

Fauci seemingly lied under oath to the Senate when he preposterously claimed the money he channeled through a third party to the Wuhan virology lab did not entail support for gain-of-function virology research. (“The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”) Many virologists were aghast at Fauci’s claims, since they knew gain-of-function research conducted in China—the point being to skirt U.S. laws—was precisely what the U.S.-subsidized researchers in China were doing.

The Bidens

Prosecutors are currently looking at the various shenanigans of Hunter Biden, whose lies may even be a match for those of George Santos. Joe Biden’s son apparently lied on his firearms background check affidavit when applying for a handgun purchase—so far, with impunity.

When asked point blank on national television whether his lost laptop was his own—he had signed a receipt for it at the repair shop—Biden refused to give a yes or no answer.

Hunter Biden has apparently de facto lied for years when he purportedly did not report either his entire income or his real business expenses accurately, or that he was the father of a child he conceived with an ex-stripper in Arkansas.

If Hunter’s lies do not match the number of Santos’ prevarications, his were at least far more significant. His lie that the laptop was not his prompted current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, a former top Biden 2020 campaign aide, to call up Mike Morell, former interim CIA director. Morell’s mission was to round up as many intelligence authorities as he could to lie on the eve of a presidential election that the laptop had “all the hallmarks” of “Russian disinformation.” He found 51, including himself. Apparently, some active members of the CIA pitched in as well to lend the letter additional authenticity.

Note that Morell swears Blinken called him to solicit signers of the bogus letter, while Blinken claims he did not. So either the current secretary of state or the former interim director of the CIA is lying—or they both are. Again, among the first to sign the fraudulent intelligence letter were Brennan and Clapper. They apparently had earned a reputation as team players, given that both men had been willing to lie under oath to Congress. Misleading the nation again about the laptop to aid Joe Biden’s campaign was small potatoes.

Biden, on spec, promulgated the lie when he said in his second debate with Trump, “There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plant. Five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage. Nobody believes it, except his good friend Rudy Giuliani.”

A subsequent poll suggested the Bidens’ concocted laptop lies may have influenced voters to side with Biden in the election. If true, that was a lie that should be of far more interest to current federal prosecutors than Santos’ crazy fairy tales.

The Lies of the “Big Guy”

So we come to the greatest prevaricator of all.

Joe Biden flat-out lied on numerous occasions, such as when he claimed that he never discussed the family shake-down business with Hunter Biden.

Joe Biden, in fact, turns up on the laptop as someone deeply connected to Hunter Biden’s quid pro quo companies (“10 [percent] for the Big Guy”). Tony Bobulinksi, a former business associate of Hunter’s, has sworn that Joe and his brother Jim Biden were deeply involved in their foreign leveraging efforts.

A photo shows Joe Biden with Hunter’s “business” associates. Will the current Santos prosecutors turn their attention to the Oval Office occupant’s financial records to determine whether his lavish private homes and lifestyle were viable under his reported stated income?

Biden lied to Americans dozens of times to get elected. The tragic death of his wife in a car accident was not due to the drunkenness and fault of a truck driver. That was a horrific smear designed to shift blame onto an innocent man and gain sympathy for himself.

He lied that his son, Beau, died while serving in Iraq.

Biden dropped out of the 1988 presidential race after he was caught lying about his college records and plagiarizing a speech from a British politician.

So we know that in the past, Joe Biden’s lies have left a mark on history in a fashion that Santos’ never will.

When Biden prefaces his whoppers with “No joke!” or “This is the God’s honest truth!” and especially when he swears, “My word as a Biden!” then it is a fair bet that he is lying.

When Biden entered office, he lied about the number of Americans previously vaccinated under the Trump Administration and preposterously claimed there had been no COVID vaccine available.

He lied that his loan forgiveness amnesty passed Congress by two votes. In fact, Biden simply declared amnesty by fiat and never submitted the request to Congress at all.

He repeatedly lies that billionaires pay only three percent of their income in taxes on average. He lies about minor details, from giving his Uncle Frank a purple heart to matters of national concern, such as the price of gas when he entered office. It was most certainly not $5 a gallon!

Biden constantly lies about his résumé. He was never a long-haul truck driver. Nor was he a star athlete almost headed for the Naval Academy on a sports scholarship if only Dallas Cowboys legend Roger Staubach had not beat him out. “I was appointed to the academy in 1965 by a senator who I was running against in 1972. I didn’t come to the academy because I wanted to be a football star. And you had a guy named Staubach and Bellino here. So I went to Delaware.”

His house was never almost destroyed by a fire. He was never raised “politically” as a Puerto Rican. Biden never pinned the Silver Star on a Navy Afghanistan war hero for bringing back the body of a fellow soldier from a deep ravine. He was never arrested, either in South Africa or in Atlanta, for demonstrating on behalf of civil rights.

No foreign leader can believe Biden. He never traveled 17,000 miles with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He lied about his own Amtrak travel. He lied about his record on inflation and economic growth. He lied about upping Social Security payments. (It was a larger-than-usual automatic cost-of-living increase spurred by his inflationary policies.) He lied about the nature of the Trump tax cuts.

Biden keeps lying that the southern border is “secure” even as nearly 2 million people have crossed illegally on his watch and tens of thousands more are massed to enter the country as Title 42 restrictions are lifted.

He insists that five police officers died at the hands of protestors on January 6, 2021. In truth, the one person we know for certain who died violently that day was Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed protester who was shot and killed by a Capitol Police lieutenant with a checkered record, whose identity was suppressed for months while Babbitt’s past was sullied by the press.

Biden’s defenders hint that either he is cognitively compromised and thus not responsible—as if he has told the truth the last 40 years when he was hale!—or his lies are mere “exaggerations” unlike the “lies” of Trump—as if lying about the death of one’s spouse or son or school record or resume or major legislation or his presidency is a mere “exaggeration.”

As a general rule, since 2015, if any federal bureaucrat or elected official lied in service of opposing Donald Trump, he was exempted from consequences. If not, he was properly held responsible for his lying. So the more that the fake Steele dossier, the Russian collusion hoax, and the Russian disinformation laptop lie warped the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, the more the promulgators of those falsehoods never faced any consequences for their untruths.

So, yes, let federal prosecutors go after the lying George Santos to set a precedent that the lying of government officials has consequences.

But in the great scheme of lying things, Santos is a prevaricating minnow who was snagged to great acclaim because the lying sharks swim and circle with impunity.
