One of the most disgusting things to come out of the Obama administration was "Operation Fast and Furious," where members of the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed illegal gun sales to go through – commonly referred to as "gun walking" – in order to track buyers and sellers they believed were connected to the Mexican drug cartels. Former president Barack Obama said Thursday on CNN’s “News Central” that former President Donald Trump’s indictment upheld the idea that “nobody is above the law.”
Amanpour said, “The spectacle of a former president being federally indicted. How is the rest of the world, the democratic world, maybe even the non-democratic world meant to interpret that indictment and indeed the fact that a federal indictee is running, is able to run for the highest office in the land, maybe even the world?”
Obama said, “It’s less than ideal. But the fact that we have a former president who is having to answer to charges brought by prosecutors does uphold the basic notion that nobody is above the law. And the allegations will now be sorted out through a court process. And I think I’m more concerned when it comes to the United States with the fact that not just one particular individual is being accused of undermining existing laws, but that more broadly we’ve seen, whether it’s through the gerrymandering of districts, whether it’s trying to silence critics through changes in legislative process, whether it’s attempts to intimidate the press, a strand of anti-democratic sentiment that we’ve seen in the United States. It’s something that is right now most prominent in the Republican Party, but I don’t think it’s something that is unique to one party. I think there is less tolerance for ideas that don’t suit us. And it’s sort of the habits of a free and open exchange of ideas and the idea that we all agree to the rules of the game, and even if the outcomes aren’t always the ones we like, we still abide by those rules. In other words, to exonerate Biden, Obama must also exonerate Trump from the disgraceful, deeply (criminally?) dishonest charge leveled against Trump. I get a real kick imagining Obama sitting in the lavishly decorated office of one of his three luxury homes, cursing to himself that you can always trust Joe Biden to “F” things up.
The media, government bureaucrats and other Democrats have spread a massive number of lies to the public for years through many election cycles. All are meant to mislead the public and influence or interfere in elections, but now Obama wants more government control to determine what the truth is. This, from a former president who has a long record of lying.

Who will be Obama's arbitrators? Will they be Rachel Maddow and MSNBC, Brian Stelter, WaPo, DHS, SPLC, the Justice Department? Obviously, Obama wants some kind of censorship power under the rubric of "stopping disinformation" because lying is so hard to conceal when the truth keeps getting out.

After the election, when a lawsuit was launched, the Times said it didn't mean to imply a romantic relationship.
I don't believe these people. They obviously meant for the public to believe there was an improper relationship because they were campaigning for Obama.
The media also went into attack mode in 2008 to destroy Sarah Palin as soon as she was nominated for the GOP vice presidential ticket.
Yet they didn't have any interest in letting the public know about Obama's history of political dirty tricks, such as he pulled during his first election, when he had sealed records unsealed and leaked in what writer Ann Coulter called his "signature move" and went on to pull similar moves on his 2012 GOP rival, Mitt Romney.
Meanwhile. the media essentially buried Obama's relationship with terrorist Bill Ayers, the radical Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and the convicted white-collar criminal Tony Rezko.
In that latter case, the Cook County Assessor's Office appears to have no record of any tax being paid on a property transfer between a future convicted felon and a future president, in possible violation of Illinois law.
In 2005, at a time when Rezko was under federal investigation for influence-peddling in former Illinois governor Blagojevich's administration, then-senator Obama and Rezko's wife Rita bought adjacent pieces of property from a Chicago doctor. Rezko would later be convicted of 16 of 24 counts of influence-peddling.
The doctor sold one parcel to Obama for $1.65 million, $300,000 below the asking price, while Rezko's wife paid full price, $625.000, for the adjacent vacant lot.
Six months later, the Obamas paid Rezko's wife $104,500 for a ten-foot-wide strip of her land to create a bigger yard and ensure a greater measure of privacy.
While the media were destroying Palin, they had no interest in telling the public the truth about Biden, whom they had chased from the 1988 presidential race earlier.
In 2009, Obama and others intentionally lied to the public to get Obamacare passed.
Basically, they had to lie to mislead voters.
An Obamacare architect even described how the effort to sell health law was benefited by "stupid" voters.
The media malfeasance around the Obama administration went on and on.
Instead of lifting a finger to help Americans under attack in Libya, Obama and his then–secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, concocted a lie about a provocative video causing a spontaneous mob reaction and then the attack. They even sent NSC official Susan Rice out to promote this lie because they were more concerned about Obama's re-election prospects and retaining power than the people who died.
If you want to see what Democrats' philosophy about the truth and elections is, all you must see is what Harry Reid said about his lie that Romney didn't pay taxes for ten years: "Well, they can call it whatever they want. Romney didn't win, did he?"
Obama didn't care when his FBI director, James Comey, went out and listed all of Hillary Clinton's crimes regarding massive mishandling of classified information and then lied to the public that no prosecutor would take the case. Obama knew that many people have been prosecuted for lesser crimes.
Then there was Obama's Russia-Russia-Russia scandal, which dogged President Trump through his presidency.
In 2016, Hillary and the DNC paid a foreign national over $10 million to create a fictional dossier to destroy Trump. Then they committed fraud by lying to the FEC that the money was for legal fees.
Corrupt and dishonest FBI bureaucrats, who wanted Hillary to win, continually lied to the FISA court so they could illegally spy on people surrounding Trump.

Barack Obama has used a stolen social security number most of his adult life. The one he uses was issued on March 28, 1977 to someone living in Connecticut, born in 1890 and is now long deceased. Obama was fifteen years old that day, living in Hawaii and playing on the junior varsity basketball team at Punahou. I uncovered the SSN information and include it in my memoir The Rubbish Hauler’s Wife versus Barack Obama.
Obama violated federal law by using a phony number. From the United States Code: “Identity theft laws under 18 U.S.C § 1028 makes it a crime to misuse someone’s identifying information, whether personal or financial. Personal identifying information can include social security numbers, driver's license number, credit card or bank account information, and PIN numbers obtained through the internet.”
Obama is a felon -- plain and simple. He should have a Hawaiian social security number like his half-sister, Maya, starting with the numbers 575 or 576. He claimed he worked at Baskin-Robbins when he was fifteen. It would have required a social security number. Instead, Obama has a number starting with 042, used for the exclusive use of CT residents, and which appeared on his 2009 tax return while he was president. Someone forgot to remove the number.
From 1936 until June 2011 social security numbers were assigned by the address on the SS-5 form used to apply for one. Under Obama, the law was changed to randomize where the applicant was living when he or she applied. Imagine that.
When social security numbers were first issued in 1936, it was supposed to augment retirement plans. The Social Security Trust Fund was not a part of any other government program until President Jimmy Carter raided it in 1977 and combined it with the general fund. To date the government has borrowed $2.7 trillion from the Social Security Trust Fund to pay for other government spending. That is 38% of the intra-government debt.
So -- the government is stealing our retirement money (thanks to a peanut farmer and the second worse president we ever had) and in a couple of years the worst president we ever had, and a felon, will receive social security benefits using a contrived and illegal social security number. What a great country we live in!

If you own a business, the leftists in Congress are coming after you. The only thing standing in their way is the U.S. Constitution.
Whether you own a mom-and-pop diner, an auto repair shop or shares in a multinational corporation, your property is at risk.
The Constitution’s takings clause was designed to protect us from government grabbing our property without paying fairly for it. But last year, when Democrats controlled both houses of Congress, they rammed through the Inflation Reduction Act, boasting that it would enable Medicare to “negotiate” lower prices for medications for seniors.
“Negotiate” is a lie. Under the new law, government can strong-arm companies to sell their most popular medications at a price Uncle Sam dictates, or be taxed out of existence in a matter of weeks. On June 6, the pharmaceutical giant Merck sued, claiming the law violates its constitutional rights.
Amen. This lawsuit is a red flag for everyone in America who owns anything or hopes to.
The actual language of the law is breathtakingly coercive, but let’s face it, most members of Congress don’t bother to read bills before voting on them.
The law says that any company that refuses to sell at the government’s price will be hit with a tax that starts at 186% of the drug’s revenues on Day 1 and is hiked daily until it reaches a ruinous 1,900% of revenues — not just from government sales but all sales. That would mean hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes per day.
The company has no escape. Contrast this coercion with price controls in socialist-leaning European countries, where drug companies can decline to sell at the government price.
Merck explains that it “will be legally compelled to sell its most valuable products for a fraction of their value, on pain of yet more draconian penalties. This is not ‘negotiation.’ It is tantamount to extortion.”
The law also gags the company from disclosing what Medicare officials say about price “negotiations” behind closed doors. Worse, the law requires the company to publicly call the price rammed down its throat “fair.”
Is this even America? Congress limits free speech and requires companies to state things they don’t believe.
Merck’s lawsuit objects, “Our Constitution does not countenance compelled speech in service of state propaganda.”
Congress needs a refresher course on the Constitution. The Fifth Amendment bars the government from taking your property without just compensation. And the First Amendment prohibits the government from forcing you to say something against your will. These are the bases of Merck’s lawsuit.
The law being challenged is exactly what you’d find in George Orwell’s “1984,” a novel depicting socialist despotism. The government dictates the price for your product but calls it a “negotiation.” If you refuse, your business is taxed to death overnight. You are gagged from disclosing what is happening and forced to declare the price “fair.”
If Merck’s lawsuit fails, who are the next victims? Auto makers could be forced to sell cars for the federal fleet for $10,000 a piece instead of a fair price. What about bed sheets for the Army, airplane parts for the Air Force or restaurant meals for government employees?
Merck’s lawsuit raises only constitutional issues, but Americans also need to know that price controls on pharmaceuticals could be dangerous to their health. In countries that cap prices, patients have reduced access to new drugs. Patients in France get only half the new treatments that U.S. patients get, according to University of Chicago economist Tomas Philipson.
Last week, the American Society of Clinical Oncology announced a treatment — osimertinib — that improves survival by 51% for lung cancer patients who have had surgery and face a recurrence. As a survivor myself, I cut out the article and put it in my desk drawer, hoping I won’t need it but glad it’s a possibility.
Many politicians think vilifying drug companies is good politics. They ignore the devastating impact of price controls on the pipeline for future cures.
This is a legitimate policy debate. But obeying the Constitution is not optional. Congress members swear an oath to it.

The succession plan was revealed Sunday, in a Wall Street Journalprofile of the 37-year-old Soros scion. All eyes are now on Alex Soros as he prepares to take his father's place atop the country’s most powerful progressive political operation.
Here's what we know about the younger Soros.
He's ‘More Political’ Than His Pops
The younger Soros says he is "more political" than his 92-year-old father, the Democratic Party’s biggest donor.
Alex Soros has given tens of millions of dollars to Democrats over the years. He contributed $5.25 million to the Senate Majority PAC in 2016 and 2018. He contributed $721,300 to the Biden Victory Fund in 2020 and $350,000 to Hillary Clinton’s victory fund in 2016. Soros has given millions more to the DNC and other Democratic committees.
Alex Soros has not contributed as much to other political advocacy groups as his father has over the years. George Soros, through his Democracy PAC and Democracy PAC II, has contributed tens of millions of dollars to traditional political committees, as well as to advocacy groups like Planned Parenthood, MoveOn, and American Bridge. Both Soroses have contributed this election cycle to moderate Democratic senator Jon Tester (Mont.), considered one of the most vulnerable incumbents in 2024.
The elder Soros has also funded a network of left-wing prosecutors whose soft-on-crime policies have been blamed for surging crime and low police morale. In 2018, Alex Soros contributed $100,000 to help elect Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison, a progressive Democrat who faced allegations of domestic abuse and blamed police for damage sustained during the George Floyd riots.
His Money Opens Democratic Doors
Alex Soros’s extensive campaign giving appears to open doors for him to many senior Democratic lawmakers.
The younger Soros huddled with Vice President Kamala Harris last week and declared he was "Ridin’ with Biden" in a recent photo with President Biden. He has rubbed shoulders with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and former President Barack Obama, according to his social media feeds.
He Spends A Lot of Time At the Biden White House
Alex Soros also appears to have open access to the White House, having visited at least 17 times during Biden’s tenure, according to visitor logs.
Most of those meetings have been with Biden’s political and domestic policy advisers, but Soros has had five meetings with Jon Finer, the principal deputy national security adviser.
The Washington Free Beaconreported that Soros met with Finer on the same day that Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva visited the White House. According to the Wall Street Journal, Soros met the left-wing Brazilian leader to advocate on behalf of the Open Society Foundations, his father’s philanthropy.
He Runs His Father's Left-Wing Nonprofit
Alex Soros took over in December as chairman of the board of Open Society Foundations, which pours hundreds of millions of dollars annually into progressive causes in the United States and around the world.
Alex Soros told the Journal he plans to use Open Society’s $25 billion war chest to fund the expansion of abortion and voting rights across the country.
He Lacks Dad's Business Savvy
Alex Soros does not appear to have his father’s business acumen, raising questions about the long term viability of his political empire. George Soros has amassed a fortune of around $7 billion, largely through his Soros Fund Management hedge fund.
Jonathan Soros, Alex’s older half-brother, was initially seen as the heir apparent to his father’s business and political empire, but the pair had a falling out over management style.
Alex Soros is an adviser to an apparel supply chain fund, Tau Management, funded by his father. Tau invests in apparel and textile factories in Asia in order to build "agile, sustainable manufacturing partners" to major apparel brands. The fund requires its partners to have a "strong and sincere commitment to [Equity, Sustainability, Governance]."
He Just Wants to Party
Before his ascent to the top of his father’s political empire, Alex Soros was better known for his semi-playboy lifestyle. According to the New York Post, Soros hosted celebrities at a $72 million Hamptons estate he rented in 2016, and has often been spotted hanging out with NBA players and supermodels.
Soros reportedly hired New York City club promoter Adam Spoont to recruit models to attend Soros’s house parties. Spoont’s success landed him an invitation to an Alex Soros fundraiser, where he was able to meet President Obama, according to Page Six.
His Father Has Been Accused of Domestic Abuse

He pissed off Taylor Swift
Alex Soros led a consortium of investors who bought rights to Swift’s unreleased music for $330 million, drawing the ire of the pop superstar.
"It looks to me like Scooter Braun and his financial backers, 23 Capital, Alex Soros, and the Soros family and The Carlyle Group, have seen the latest balance sheets and realized that paying $330 million for my music wasn't exactly a wise choice and they need money," Swift said in 2020.
