HOW MANY HOMELESS AMERICANS HAVE IT SO GOOD???
Exclusive: Venezuelan Migrant Living Good Life at New York City Taxpayers’ Expense
Danny, a Venezuelan migrant who recently arrived in the “Big Apple,” is beyond surprised with the accommodations and benefits provided to him. He crossed the Rio Grande in May near Brownsville, Texas, after a grueling trek through Panama, Central America, and Mexico.
Now, Danny told Breitbart Texas he has a clean hotel room, a New York City identification card, free health care and prescription benefits, and recently found a job at a cleaning company. All at the expense of New York City taxpayers.
The video shows the city-provided hotel room where Danny and another migrant currently live. He recently began working for a residential/commercial cleaning company and works four days weekly. Despite not having a work authorization card allowing him to legally work, or a New York driver’s license, his employer hired him and allows him to drive a company vehicle into New Jersey on workdays. The video shows Danny’s drive to work across the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River.
Danny’s journey to New York began in early May when he was forced out of a migrant camp when members of the violent Gulf Cartel burned an encampment he was living in on the Mexican bank of the Rio Grande. Danny told Breitbart Texas of the incident in Brownsville and provided video footage of the camp. He arrived in Texas before the end of the Title 42 protocol.
Danny told Breitbart Texas he traveled from Brownsville to Dallas on a bus trip that cost him $80.00. From there, he and several Columbian migrants managed to scrape up the funds needed to fly into New York City. With no friends or relatives in the United States, Danny said he made his way to a local homeless shelter once he arrived.
The shelter life was chaotic, and for 15 days, Danny says he did his best to avoid any issues with other residents. On the 15th day, he was told he could move to a city-funded hotel in the Bronx. Danny has been at the hotel since mid-May, saying the accommodation is beyond anything he could have imagined.
Contrary to reports that describe drug use and violence in some of the New York City hotels used to house migrants, Danny says that is not the case where he is staying.
“We have more than 15 Army soldiers that help with security and hand out food to us when we get hungry, there is plenty of food available all day and our rooms are cleaned every morning,” he told Breitbart Texas. Danny says laundry service and cable television at the hotel are free as well. All of this is provided by the taxpayers of New York City.
Danny was released by the Border Patrol shortly after his crossing. He explained to Breitbart Texas that he doesn’t have a set date to report to ICE to begin his formal asylum process. His case paperwork only says “TBD” on the date, time, and place line on his Notice to Appear (NTA).
The Border Patrol resorted to using the “To Be Determined” language on the NTA to speed the releases from some migrant detention facilities. Setting precise dates, times, and places on the form requires timely coordination with ICE to receive the required docket information for the notice.
Danny says he has a common-law wife in Colombia that he plans to help cross into the United States using the CBP One application soon. “I can fly her from Bogota, Colombia to Monterrey, Mexico, for less than $300. Hopefully, she will be here soon and get the CBP One appointment fast,” he emphasized.
Danny says he must wait at least six months after he formally applies for asylum before he is able to legally work so his employer agreed to pay him in cash. He told Breitbart Texas many of the migrants that live in the hotel have found underground employment in restaurants, small businesses, and nearby homes where they clean and care for children. “Finding a job here was easier than I thought. They have great confidence in me where I work and even allow me to drive the work truck,” he told Breitbart Texas.
Danny proudly showed Breitbart Texas a copy of his newly issued city identification card and his health care cards issued by Molina Health of New York. The health plan provided by the city affords Danny medical, prescription, dental, and vision services. The plan requires no monthly premiums, no co-pays, and offers prescriptions to “Essential Plan” holders at a cost of $1 for generic medications and $3 for named brand drugs.
Danny provided photos of the food supplies available for the migrants at the hotel and one of the Army National Guard soldiers moving food into a refrigerator for use by the migrants.
Danny says most people in Venezuela earn less than the equivalent of $50.00 per month. He says he now earns double that amount in a single day. He says he is surprised and grateful for the support he has been provided and hopes one day to be able to move from the hotel when he is legally able to enter the workforce.
The cost to provide services to the migrants in New York City is staggering with one recent estimate of $4.2 billion through July 2024, according to a February New York Post report. Adams has repeatedly asked the Biden Administration to reimburse the city for migrant care expenses hoping to pass some of the costs onto U.S. taxpayers.
In response to Adam’s pleas, $135 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Shelter Services Program has been doled out to the city in recent months.

Leo Terrell: This is why California is the worst state in the country
In truth, the Golden State is becoming a semi-feudal kingdom, with the nation’s widest gap between middle and upper incomes—72 percent, compared with the U.S. average of 57 percent—and its highest poverty rate. Roughly half of America’s homeless live in Los Angeles or San Francisco, which now has the highest property crime rate among major cities.

House GOP Report: Illegal Aliens Costing American Hospitals Billions in Unpaid Medical Bills
Illegal aliens released into the United States interior are costing American taxpayers, and the public hospitals they help fund, billions in unpaid medical bills every year, a report from Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee details.
The report, wherein Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) notes the failures of President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, revealed the extent to which illegal immigration wreaks havoc on the nation’s hospitals intended to provide first-class care for Americans and legal immigrants.
“Hospital and emergency room care for illegal aliens is one of the most significant expenses,” the report states, mentioning that illegal aliens typically have no form of health insurance and therefore rely especially on emergency room services for free care.
“Consequently, this has led to significant costs for hospitals because providers are often not reimbursed for these services,” the report states:
In a January 2021 filing challenging the Biden administration’s deportation moratorium, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton wrote that his state alone was required to pay anywhere between $62- 90 million per year to cover illegal aliens under its Emergency Medicaid program. [Emphasis added]
He also pointed out that between 2006-2008, uncompensated costs borne by Texas state hospitals providing care to illegal aliens ranged from $597 million to $717 million. That’s as much as $1.03 billion in May 2023 dollars. [Emphasis added]
In Florida, for Fiscal Year 2021, illegal aliens cost state hospitals about $312 million. Meanwhile, in Illinois, a statewide healthcare benefits program for illegal aliens has ballooned from a projected $2 to $4 million cost to what has now become a $1.1 billion program for taxpayers.
Locally, in Yuma, Arizona, executives with the Yuma Regional Medical Center said that in just one year, taxpayers were left with $26 million in unpaid medical bills from illegal aliens who showed up to the hospital requesting free care.
“Some migrants come to us with minor ailments but many of them come in with significant disease. We have had migrant patients on dialysis, cardiac catheterization and in need of heart surgery,” Dr. Robert Trenschel, CEO of the hospital, previously told the House Homeland Security Committee. “Many are very sick. They have long-term complications of chronic disease that have not been cared for. Some end up in the ICU for 60 days or more.”
One of the main strains on the hospital is pregnant illegal aliens arriving with little-to-no prior prenatal care, putting them at high risk for potentially serious complications which results in longer, costly stays at the hospital.
The issue has been raised by more than just House Republicans.
Most recently, Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visited the U.S.-Mexico border to warn of the massive waves of illegal immigration that are straining the nation’s security and social safety net resources.
During his visit, Kennedy said he talked to local officials in Arizona who explained that their hospitals’ maternity wards are so packed with pregnant illegal aliens that American women are having to reschedule their delivery dates.
“Moms occupied 32 of 36 beds in Yuma hospital maternity ward so that local moms had to delay induced pregnancies for two weeks,” Kennedy wrote in a Twitter post.
Months ago, the Federation for American Immigration Reform reported that illegal immigration costs the nation’s hospital systems at least $23 billion annually — $8.2 billion of which is uncompensated medical care for illegal aliens.

Biden’s DHS Rewards Sanctuary Cities, NGOs with $290M for Resettling Illegal Aliens in U.S.
President Joe Biden is rewarding sanctuary cities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with more than $290 million in taxpayer money for resettling border crossers and illegal aliens across the United States.
Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is taking the millions in taxpayer money from the Shelter and Services Program (SSP) — a federal initiative launched by the administration and funded by Congress.
This week, DHS officials announced that more than $290 million from SSP had been rewarded to various towns and cities, many of which are sanctuary jurisdictions, along with NGOs like Catholic Charities and United Way for helping resettle hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens across American communities after their release into the nation’s interior.
In total, 34 cities, towns, and NGOs are getting the millions in federal funds.
Many of the cities are sanctuary jurisdictions. For example, San Diego County, California, a sanctuary jurisdiction, is set to secure more than $15 million in SSP funds, while the sanctuary city of Denver, Colorado, will receive more than $8.6 million.
The sanctuary city of New York City is securing the largest amount of SSP funds, more than $104 million, to aid border crossers and illegal aliens, while the sanctuary city of Chicago has scored more than $10.5 million and the sanctuary state of Illinois will get nearly $19.4 million.
The World Hunger Ecumenical Arizona Task Force (WHEAT), an NGO based in Arizona, is set to get $15.5 million to help border crossers and illegal aliens across the state and Catholic Charities, across California and Texas, will rake in more than $24 million in SSP funds.
Last month, Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Lance Gooden (R-TX) requested a full accounting by the Biden administration in regard to federal funds being rewarded to cities and NGOs that are aiding illegal immigration in the U.S.
“The surge of illegal immigration, fueled in part by NGOs like those on the [Emergency Food and Shelter Program] National Board is unsustainable and unfair to law-abiding citizens and immigrants alike,” Gooden said.
Illegal immigration imposes an enormous burden on American taxpayers.
Annually, the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. costs taxpayers more than $143 billion. That amount, though, does not include any of the social and economic costs — such as higher housing prices, depleted wages, lost jobs, increased crime, and strained public resources at hospitals and schools — associated with illegal immigration.

Somehow, Democrats can't seem to understand that the more they subsidize and throw money at something, the more unaffordable it becomes
In Illinois, we have some of the highest childcare costs in the country...and the Democrats brag about how much money they throw at it and pretend that solves the problem instead of contributing to the problem.
The higher they raise the subsidy for poor and middle-class people, the higher the daycare providers will raise the costs for people who pay their own way. It is a simple economic concept.
Illinois child care costs are among the highest in the U.S.
Illinois parents pay among the highest child care costs in the nation, a new study from the Annie E. Casey Foundation has found. The average single mother spends more than a third of her paycheck on child care.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has done "an exceptional job" of providing state grants to help support child care businesses, Connors said.
"With Smart Start Illinois, his new budget, he's put through quite a few different resources for child care providers to build capacity back in," she said.
A new $130 million grant program from Smart Start is designed to strengthen child care workers' compensation with an aim of stabilizing the field. However, Conners said the government can't solve the problem alone.
College costs are a great example of the harm that is caused when the government hands out too much money.
In the 1960s, the government started throwing lots of money at students in the form of grants and loans to supposedly make college more affordable. Colleges used this largess to bulk up administrators, and their prices increased much faster than inflation.
As the colleges kept gouging, the government kept upping the money it threw at them. I wonder what went wrong!
The solution today for Democrats is to have other people pay the debt, which would certainly not make colleges more affordable for current and future students.
The proper solution is to stop requiring degrees for so many jobs that don't need them and stop throwing so much money at students to attend. Make the colleges compete.
Obamacare is also a great example of how to make things unaffordable.
To get Obamacare passed, we heard multiple obvious lies:
- You were going to be able to keep your doctor and keep your current plan.
- There was going to be more competition.
- Prices were going to go down substantially.
- It was going to pay for itself.
It doesn't take an economics degree to understand that a bill that has massive mandates, many taxes, and massive subsidies; takes away choices for what kind of policy you can buy; and forces you to buy it was going to raise prices.
And prices did not go down. They skyrocketed — for years.
As rates skyrocketed, so did out-of-pocket amounts. Deductibles for popular silver-level plans, which cover about 70 percent of costs, increased 87 percent between 2014 and 2020, averaging more than $4,500, according to the Kaiser foundation.
When Trump and Republicans got rid of the individual mandate and gave the people back freedom of choice on the type of insurance they could buy, prices stabilized because competition returned.
But Biden is back with Obamacare Jr.
Biden launches a new push to limit health care costs hoping to show he can save money for families
He is again advocating that people not have a choice of what kind of insurance they can buy, and is again promising that his policy would reduce costs.
As always, the media are presenting this story without reminding the public of the massive number of lies relating to Obamacare.
As P.T. Barnum said, "There's is a sucker born every minute."
Here are some simple statements about energy and supply-side economics that even most journalists, entertainers, educators, scientists, and other Democrats should be able to understand:
If the government seeks to destroy or limit the amount of reasonably priced and reliable energy sources like coal, oil, and natural gas that people and businesses can use and force them to buy less reliable, less efficient, more expensive sources of energy like wind, solar, and flammable lithium, prices are likely to rise substantially and contribute greatly to higher inflation.
The poor, the middle class, and small businesses will be the ones who suffer the most. It will be unaffordable for them to replace their gas-powered cars, trucks, and other equipment and to remodel their houses to comply with the new requirements.
Almost all Democrat policies seem to be about controlling what we buy and use, and they do it through cumbersome regulations and taxation. They then claim they take care of the poor and middle class by giving handouts to pay for a portion of these new products. Most of the media applaud Biden economics and claim not to understand why the public don't appreciate the great Biden policies as their real wages have continued to drop substantially since Biden took office.
Either most journalists are as clueless about economics and the harm Democrat policies cause, or they just don't care, and they believe their job is to elect Democrats to remake or destroy America, no matter how much they have to intentionally mislead the public.
