THE BIDEN REGIME'S CENSORSHIP OF FREE SPEECH - BUT THEIR CORRUPTION WILL OUT AND SO WILL JOE! - Turley: Biden Admin. Called for Censoring True Information Using Same ‘Clarion Call’ as all Censoring Nations

Biden was 25 in 1967, and was attending Syracuse University College of Law, from which he graduated 76th in a class of 85 in 1968. By 1967, when he supposedly talking to the Egyptian government on behalf of Golda Meir, he had already embarked upon his career of lying. A Syracuse College of Law faculty report on December 1, 1965 stated that Biden “used five pages from a published law review article without quotation or attribution,” and recommended that he fail a legal methods course because of his plagiarism.

Turley: Biden Admin. Called for Censoring True Information Using Same ‘Clarion Call’ as all Censoring Nations

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “The Story,” Fox News Contributor and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley stated that the argument for government censorship on social media uses “the clarion call of every nation that has engaged in censorship” that people need to be protected from “harmful” views and ideas and pointed to the government pressing for restrictions on true statements.

Turley said, “[T]his is the clarion call of every nation that has engaged in censorship. They always say that they’re protecting citizens from harmful thoughts, harmful ideas, harmful viewpoints, that this is all for the good, because you shouldn’t hear these views. That’s always been the case. But what’s really distressing is when you read the Twitter Files and you read the evidence that we have seen come out recently, the government was even censoring what they call malinformation. This is stuff that is true that the government says is being used for a misleading purpose. Try that hat on for a second. They’re saying that if you say something true, but the government believes it’s misleading in the way you said it, they also were targeting you for censorship.”

In the ruling in Missouri v. BidenJudge Terry Doughty found that “Facebook noted that in response to White House demands, it was censoring, removing, and reducing the virality of content discouraging vaccines ‘that does not contain actionable misinformation.'”

op Dems Prepare Replacement for Biden

Donors and officials privately say the president 'won't actually be running for reelection,' CNN reports

July 14, 2023

In "whispers" and "furtive phone calls," top Democratic donors and officials are saying that "President Joe Biden won't actually be running for reelection," CNN reported Thursday.

Those Democrats are talking to "possible replacement presidential candidates," according to the report, and urging them to "get ready." They say that "time is already running out" for Biden, who has officially announced his candidacy but hasn't named a campaign finance director, hired any on-the-ground staff in competitive states, or even opened a campaign headquarters.

What CNN called the "persistent sense" that Biden isn't running will likely heighten on Saturday, when the president is required to disclose the fundraising for the first few months of his campaign. It's already clear, the report found, that "multiple big donors aren't locking in," while "grassroots emails are sometimes bringing in just a few thousand dollars."

"Almost two dozen current Biden aides, top Democratic operatives and donors, and alumni of other recent campaigns" are worried about the Biden reelection campaign, CNN reported.

Biden's polling numbers, which have been underwater for two years, in June hit an all-time low of 35 percent. Nearly 60 percent of Democrats say they want the party to run another candidate, a Washington Post poll found in April.

Recent polls have found Biden either running even with or losing to Republican frontrunners Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, according to FiveThirtyEight.

The president's unpopularity has led some Democrats to embrace primary opponent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has consistently polled at around 20 percent against Biden. Kennedy's candidacy was bolstered last month by an Economist/YouGov poll that showed him with a net 19-point favorability rating. Biden, by contrast, has a net 9-point unfavorability rating.

Democrats' rush to find alternatives to Biden comes as the party seeks to avoid running Vice President Kamala Harris, whose poll numbers are even lower than Biden's. "Kamala Harris can't win" a general election, one Capitol Hill Democrat told New York magazine last year. Another alternative, California governor Gavin Newsom, is dead-set on running if Biden bows out, sources close to Newsom told the Wrap last year. Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, meanwhile, have already launched or relaunched super PACs.

The president could also face a challenge from Democratic senator Joe Manchin (W.Va.), who has not ruled out a third-party presidential bid. The centrist group "No Labels" is floating Manchin as its candidate, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

More than five million illegal aliens have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border since Joe Biden took office, according to a study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform. With some exceptions, these migrants tend to be low-skilled, poor, and come from countries where violence is normal and women and certain minorities are degraded. By importing millions of foreign nationals who come from countries with cultures and values that are diametrically opposed to ours, American leaders are setting the stage for exactly the kind of strife and turmoil that is occurring in France.

Kamala Harris links reducing population to cleaner air and water

Was this a gaffe or a Freudian slip?

In a Baltimore address promoting the Biden Administration’s energy policy, Kamala Harris said the following:

"When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water." [emphasis added]

As Nick Pope of the Daily Caller News Foundation reports,

The White House clarified that Harris misspoke and had intended to say “pollution” rather than “population,” referencing the official speech transcript posted to the White House’s website in communication with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Sure enough, the corrected transcript now reads:

When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population [pollution], more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water.  (Applause.)

Of course, I suppose that anyone can confuse the 4 syllables of “population” with the 3 syllables of “pollution” because, after all, they both begin with po and end in tion. But as those who believe in Freudian slips aver, often the word substitution indicates inner thoughts that are taboo to mention.

It’s no secret that some powerful figures believe the world has too many people, that we are a “cancer on the planet.”

The haste to claim that VP Harris, the next in line to the presidency as Joe Biden visibly deteriorates, didn’t mean what she said reminds me of a now-notorious gaffe (or Freudian slip) that Bill Gates made in 2010:

“First, we’ve got population,” he said during the talk organized by TED, a non-profit organization devoted to spreading ideas. “The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about nine billion. Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by, perhaps, 10 or 15 percent. But there, we see an increase of about 1.3.”

Just about every “fact checker” you ever heard of rushed to explain that he didn’t mean that vaccines could lower population by 10 or 15 percent, which is what he said.  If you search Google for “ Gates depopulation” the first tranche of links has about 10 such “fact checks”, many invoking QAnon and “conspiracy theory.” Never forget that taking people at their word is a conspiracy theory if you have the wrong politics.

I tend to go with the theory that Kamala was a case of a slip of the tongue, merely because I gather she has slipped her tongue many times to great career advantage.

French riots show the future of Joe Biden’s America

As the U.S. deals with the consequences of mass immigration, important lessons can be learned from our oldest European ally.

Over the past few weeks, France has been engulfed in riots after a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed by a police officer during a traffic stop. The rioting and looting have largely been centered in communities with many migrants from North African and Islamic nations. The rioting has caused more than one billion dollars in property damage, and has led to thousands of arrests. It has also led to a renewed debate in Europe about the costs of mass migration and whether or not those costs are worth it.

It’s not just the U.S. that has experienced an influx of foreign nationals in recent years. France took in a record number of migrants in 2022, both legal and illegal. The European Union resettled nearly one million migrants last year, not including refugees from war-torn Ukraine. The main countries of origin for these refugees were Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey, Venezuela, and Columbia. Just as we’ve seen in the U.S., these large influxes of migrants have had a destabilizing effect on the continent’s cultural, economic, and political life. The carnage occurring in France is the result of long-simmering tensions finally coming to the surface. It’s the results of migrants from third-world, war-torn countries not assimilating into their new country, but bringing the baggage from their old countries with them.

During the France riots, a group of North African migrants could be seen chanting “f*ck France,” and “We’re just here for the welfare!” The crassness of these migrants certainly isn’t representative of everybody seeking to come from the third world to prosperous western nations, but it is indicative of a larger problem with mass immigration. Many of these foreign nationals come from countries where violence and chaos has been normalized, and the importation of migrants from these types of countries can also serve to normalize the same type of disorder in their new countries. This is why what’s happening in France should serve as a warning sign for Americans.

Other nations in Europe that have taken in fewer migrants are not experiencing the same disorder and breakdown in national cohesion that France is currently experiencing. Take Poland, for example, which has much stricter immigration controls and far more national self-respect than most European countries, and as a result has largely remained peaceful and united. Poland Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki used the French riots to present a stark dichotomy between the two nations.

“Compare these two images. Today’s suburbs of Paris: massive riots, looting of shops, broken windows, burning cars. Then quiet Polish cities, quiet Polish villages. Poland opted for peace,” Morawiecki said.

While the Polish prime minister was remarking on the riots in France, his comments should also resonate with Americans worried about the future of their nation. If U.S. leaders do not begin tending to our borders and our sovereignty with more care, what’s happening in France will soon happen in America as well. It’s only a matter of time.

Benjamin Franklin once described the U.S. as “a republic, if you can keep it.” Our immigration policy will ultimately decide whether we’re able to keep our republic, or if we become another once-great nation that self-destructed.

Establishment Media Hide Joe Biden’s Migrant Inflow

Establishment media outlets are claiming that President Joe Biden has sharply reduced his wage-cutting, rent-spiking illegal migration flow across the southern border.

But those media-backed claims hide Biden’s policy of inviting more economic migrants in via the multiple side doors in the border.

The establishment articles also portray migration as a logistics issue — how can migrants be quickly registered, released, and transported northwards? — instead of an elite economic policy that is intended to transfer wealth from ordinary Americans to wealthy coastal investors.

“Migrant crossings along U.S.-Mexico border plummeted in June amid stricter asylum rules,” a June 9 CBS News headline claimed.

“Number of Migrants at the Border Plunges as Mexico Helps U.S. to Stem Flow,” the New York Times reported July 9.

“Southern border ‘eerily quiet’ after policy shift on asylum seekers,” says the July 12 headline in the Washington Post, above an article that reported “a nearly 70 percent drop in illegal entries since early May,”

“This is false,” responded a tweet from NumbersUSA, adding, “Massive numbers still coming illegally.”  The Post “plays along” with Biden’s PR, the tweet added.

Unsurprisingly, pro-migration advocates cheered the misleading reports. “Surely this will be headlines in FauxNews and ⁦@CNN, no? Especially after all that breathless reporting by ignorant and ill informed reporters,” tweeted immigration lawyer Charles Kuck.

These misleading reports are just the newest twist in the establishment’s multi-decade efforts to hide the scale, impact, and damage caused by migration.

In December 2022, for example, Breitbart News reported a Harvard/Harris poll that showed that a third of Republicans and a quarter of Democrats thought the southern inflow was less than 250,000 people. In 2022, however, the inflow was roughly 1.3 million people plus about 500,000 “gateways.”

Republican legislators rarely mention the numbers of illegal or legal immigrants, just as they try to not talk about the huge pocketbook impact of migration on voters.

In general, media reports mislead the public by hiding or downplaying the federal government’s policy of redirecting illegal economic migrants away from border arrests, and towards quasi-legal loopholes where they are not counted in monthly reports on border arrests.

These quasi-legal paths are being used to keep roughly 800,000 migrants off the arrest rolls as they are welcomed by the federal government to take the jobs and housing that would otherwise go to struggling Americans in cities and towns around the nation. That huge inflow welcomes roughly one illegal migrant for every four Americans born each year.

The journalists at the New York Times are pushing the administration’s logistics pitch The Times reports:

Migrant shelters with plenty of empty beds. Soup kitchens with food to spare. Soldiers patrolling intersections where migrant families once begged for spare change.

In Ciudad Juárez and in other Mexican cities along the border, the story is much the same: Instead of surging as elected officials and immigration advocates had warned, the number of migrants trying to enter the United States has plummeted following the expiration in May of a pandemic-era border restriction.

The quasi-legal doorways are described — approvingly — late in the New York Times article:

More migrants who had been streaming into northern Mexican cities are finding it easier to start the asylum process because of the improvements to the app known as C.B.P. One.

On June 30, Homeland Security announced the expansion of appointments through the app to 1,450 per day, a nearly 50 percent increase from May 12, the day Title 42 was lifted.

In Tijuana, Enrique Lucero, manager of the city’s migration office, said migrants in shelters and hotels are using the app rather than trying to climb over the double-layered steel wall that separates the city from San Diego. “People are getting appointments faster than before because more are available,” he said.

CBS’s Colombian-born reporter, Camilo Montoya-Galvez, touted unverified administration claims of tougher border rules before portraying the new side doors as “increased[ed] opportunities” for migrants:

Nuñez Neto also credited the Biden administration’s efforts to increase opportunities for migrants to enter the country legally for the decrease in illegal entries. A phone app known as CBP One is allowing up to 44,950 asylum-seekers in Mexico to enter the U.S. each month at ports of entry, while another program is giving 30,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans the chance to fly to the U.S. monthly.

The Washington Post led with the logistics angle, but also described the new gateways in the fourth paragraph, saying:

Now the administration is allowing tens of thousands of migrants to enter the United States legally each month through the mobile app CBP One, while those who don’t follow the rules face ramped-up deportations and tougher penalties.

The Post‘s reports even published some monthly numbers — not easier to understand annual numbers — that debunked its own “Eerily Quiet” lede:

The recent drop in illegal crossings does not mean fewer than half as many migrants are coming to the United States. President Biden is allowing roughly 43,000 migrants and asylum seekers per month to enter through CBP One appointments and accepting an additional 30,000 through a process called parole. The new legal channels appear to be absorbing many of the border-crossers who for years have entered unlawfully to surrender in large groups, overwhelming U.S. border agents.

The Associated Press pushed the establishment’s claim in March, saying:

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A sharp drop in illegal border crossings since December could blunt a Republican point of attack against President Joe Biden as the Democratic leader moves to reshape a broken asylum system that has dogged him and his predecessors.

The decrease in border crossings followed Biden’s announcement in early January that Mexico would take back Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans under a pandemic-era rule that denies migrants the right to seek asylum as part of an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. At the same time, the U.S. agreed to admit up to 30,000 a month of those four nationalities on humanitarian parole if they apply online, enter at an airport and find a financial sponsor.

Extraction Migration

The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries, reduces beneficial trade, and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.

The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.

The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.

The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because the population replacement allows elites to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.

In many speeches, border chief Alejandro Mayorkas says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to elite opinion about “the values of our country” Mayorkas claims.

Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

U.S. Farms Import 200K Foreign H-2A Workers as GOP Appropriators Seek More than Ever

Farms across the United States have ballooned the number of foreign H-2A visa workers imported to take agricultural jobs, just as Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee are seeking more foreign workers than ever before.

Annually, the federal government allows U.S. farms to import an unlimited number of foreign workers through the H-2A visa program specifically to take agricultural jobs. The program, as Breitbart News has chronicled for years, is fraught with fraud and abuse.

In the first half of Fiscal Year 2023, which runs from October 2022 through March 2023, farms imported nearly 200,000 foreign H-2A visa workers, with most going to farms in Florida, California, Washington, Georgia, and North Carolina.

The figure indicates a 10 percent increase in foreign H-2A visa workers arriving in the U.S. to take jobs compared to the same time last year. By 2025, the number of foreign visa workers imported to the U.S. through the program is expected to reach almost half a million.

Meanwhile, a handful of Republicans on the House Appropriations Committee are looking to slip a massive expansion of the H-2A visa program into a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spending bill, Breitbart News reported.

The $91.5 billion spending bill would loosen H-2A visa rules so that more industries related to the agricultural sector could import foreign workers, and it rewrites the program so that jobs do not have to be seasonal or temporary.

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) sought to have the foreign worker expansion stripped from the spending bill, according to the Washington Post, but was rebuked by Reps. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) and David Valadao (R-CA), both of whom count agriculture special interest groups as major donors.

Democrats in Massachusetts Look to Give Voting Rights to Foreign Nationals

Democrat legislators in Massachusetts are looking to give foreign nationals on green cards the right to vote in municipal elections.

A series of bills filed by Democrat legislators in the Massachusetts House and Senate would open municipal voting rights to foreign nationals living in the state on green cards.

In practice, the policy would mean foreign nationals could cast deciding votes in Massachusetts towns and cities for mayor, school committee, city council, town council, board of selectmen, select board elections, school committee referendums, local ballot referendums, or other municipal races.

The bills, all of which must go before House and Senate committees on election laws, are being sponsored by Democrat legislators like James Eldridge, Samantha Montaño, and Mike Connolly.

“Immigrants are essential to our communities … many are on the path to citizenship but lack the ability to apply, but they need to have a say in how public services are funded and governed,” an official with the group MassVOTE told legislators during a hearing on the bills last month.

Elsewhere in New England, particularly Connecticut and Rhode Island, Democrat legislators have tried desperately to get legislation across the finish line this year that would not only give legal immigrants the right to vote but also illegal aliens.

Tennessee Soccer Coach Accused of Filming Himself Drugging, Raping Boys Is an Illegal Alien

The man accused of filming himself raping unconscious boys whom he allegedly drugged is an illegal alien living in the United States, the Franklin, Tennessee, Police Department confirms.

As Breitbart News reported, 63-year-old soccer coach Camilo Hurtado Campos was arrested and charged in Franklin County this week for allegedly drugging and sexually abusing multiple young boys from nine to 17-years-old. Campos allegedly filmed the assaults on his cellphone.

On Wednesday, police confirmed that Campos is an illegal alien who has lived in the area for about 20 years.

Campos was arrested after he left his phone at a local pizza parlor in Franklin County on June 22. Employees went through the phone to gather information about the owner. The employees said they found videos and photos of child sexual abuse and thus called the police.

“During an immediate and tireless investigation, detectives found hundreds of disturbing videos and pictures on that phone,” police said in a statement. “In many of them, Campos recorded himself raping unconscious boys between approximately 9 and 17 years old.”

While three of the 10 victims seen in the recorded sexual abuse were initially identified by police, another five have come forward to accuse Campos of drugging and raping them.

According to police, Campos’s child sexual abuse likely dates back many years, as he allegedly frequently searched for boys to join his soccer team at local schools and playgrounds.

Campos is being held in Franklin County and his next court date is July 25.

EXCLUSIVE: Border Agents Required to Move Migrants Through Texas Barriers Along Rio Grande

Law Enforcement Photo

Recent videos and photographs circulated on social media and by news outlets show Border Patrol agents opening Texas Border fence gates to take custody of migrants making landfall into the United States. One video revealed a Border Patrol agent physically cutting concertina wire installed by the state to accept the surrender of a group of migrants. A CBP source says the actions are required by law and recently enhanced by policy enacted after the 2021 Haitian Border Crisis in Del Rio.

According to a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a policy measure implemented after members of the Border Patrol Mounted Horse Unit were falsely accused of whipping Haitian Migrants in Del Rio further limited the Border Patrol’s ability to arrest migrants in certain dangerous environments. The memo limited the agent’s ability to conduct arrests in waterways or on border fences. Breitbart Texas received and reviewed a copy of the 2021 memo authored by Tony L. Barker, acting chief of the Law Enforcement Directorate for the Border Patrol.

The policy memorandum forbids Border Patrol agents from forcing migrants to return to Mexico once on United States soil. The memorandum reads, “BPA’s will not force or guide individuals back into waterways or unsafe environments.”

The directive further highlights the legal requirement for migrants to be granted due process through existing immigration law, emphasizing, “BPA’s will not forcibly remove anyone from the United States at the border. Migrants must be inspected and processed for appropriate dispositions. Repatriations will follow appropriate processing of the relevant dispositions.”

The source says the agents are not allowed to act on their personal convictions when performing their duties and must abide by law and policy or face discipline — including termination or prosecution for deprivation of civil rights. “Migrants are entitled to due process regardless of anyone’s feelings, the 14th amendment clearly grants persons due process under our laws,” the memo states.

The consequences the agents face if they do not follow the policy, could not be better understood than by examining the incident involving the mounted patrol agents during the 2021 Haitian migrant crisis in Del Rio. Despite a lengthy internal investigation finding they did not whip the migrants, administrative punishment was nonetheless applied to the group for denying the migrants the ability to move onto U.S. soil. One supervisory Border Patrol agent that was not present as the incident unfolded was nonetheless disciplined by the agency for “failure to supervise,” according to the source.

The source says agents must arrest the migrants and are responsible for their safety once they realize they have entered the United States — regardless of any barriers they stand behind. As reported by Breitbart Texas, one agent cut concertina wire put in place by the State of Texas to accomplish this task.

The source says the agent had no choice. “We have good relations with our state partners and our ideas of a secure border generally align with each other. However, we cannot fail to take the migrants into custody without facing job loss or prosecution for a civil rights violation.”

The CBP official says Texas authorities probably understand the legal peril as well. “They have not taken any forcible means to return migrants to Mexico and instead are using the barriers to discourage entries,” the source stated. “They more than likely realize they could also face prosecution at the hands of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division if they started taking migrants to ports of entry and forcibly removing them — their hands are tied too.”

The source says the penalties for violating a person’s civil rights are severe. “If one of our agents forces migrants to cross the river back into Mexico and the migrant loses their life, the consequences are disastrous. If we leave them behind a state-erected barrier knowing they are on U.S. soil and they die of heat exhaustion, the same applies,” the source emphasized.

According to the Department of Justice, Title 18 Section 242 makes it a crime for a person acting under color of any law to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States.

Acts under “color of law” include acts not only done by federal, state, or local officials within their lawful authority, but also acts done beyond the bounds of that official’s lawful authority if the acts are done while the official is purporting to or pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties. Persons acting under color of law within the meaning of this statute include police officers, prison guards, and other law enforcement officials, as well as judges, care providers in public health facilities, and others who are acting as public officials. The crime doesn’t need to be motivated by animus toward the race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin of the victim.

The offense is punishable by a range of imprisonment up to a life term or even the death penalty — depending upon the circumstances of the crime — and the resulting injury, if any.

GOP Mark Green Outlines Strategy to Impeach Mayorkas

The GOP chairman of the House’s homeland security panel has a five-point strategy for successfully impeaching Alejandro Mayorkas, President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief.

“You have to you have to do it in a methodical way that educates the American people along the way,” chairman Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) said at a July 12 meeting at the Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C.:

What we’re going to talk a little bit about today [are] the five phases of holding Mayorkas accountable … The documents that you see coming out of next week, for release on Monday, are the findings of Phase One, the dereliction of duty phase …

The second phase is the [government] facilitation of cartel crime. And how an open border is absolutely advancing the criminal activity inside the United States. And you can just simply Google San Francisco cartel crime, and you can see how the cartels have essentially taken over the criminal activity in San Francisco. It’s fascinating, all because of an open border, all at the hands of Alejandro Mayorkas.

Phase Three will be the human costs. And this is where we will bring in the moms who’ve lost children, the dads who lost a spouse struck by a fleeing illegal. We will [show]  the border patrol agent who committed suicide — 17 suicides in the last year in Customs and Border Patrol … There’s a massive human cost to this.

Phase Four will be the actual financial costs. As you think about the social services that get expended, you think about the law enforcement costs, but a lot of times people don’t think about the uncompensated care in a hospital. If you have 7 million people coming into the United States, they’re going to go to the emergency department without health insurance. Well, what do they do in the emergency department? You create a bill that never gets paid? Well, they cost shift … so all of your health insurance prices go up. That’s a cost of an open border.

The last [phase] is, we’ve had some people — they’re informants at this point …. they’re not whistleblowers yet. …. But there’s potentially some sort of fraud going on in the department.

Notably, Green did not promise to show the pocketbook damage caused to ordinary, swing-voting Americans by Mayorkas’ encouragement of economic migration into Americans’ society, workplaces, and housing.

The pocketbook damage includes reduced wages, higher housing costs, and rising inflation.

Green also declined to mention the vast number of migrants who have been killed by Mayorkas’ invite.

Green continued:

In our investigation, we’re going to show in those five phases that Mr. Mayorkas lied to the United States Congress, has broken at least 10 laws, has refused to obey court orders, and probably the worst thing — and the thing that sits the most heavily with me — is that he has disregarded the United States Congress, which is a threat to the very foundation of our government.

The House can impeach Mayorkas, but the Senate has the power to reject or confirm the impeachment.

“We have to get this thing through the Senate,” Green said, adding:

We have to encourage the Senate to do the right thing and pass this bill and we also have to hold this department accountable, this administration accountable …

If you look at what happened with the D.C. crime bill, the Democrats said no, we’re not going to support that. We, of course felt like DC’s willingness to release violent criminals was a bad idea. The federal government and the Congress has oversight over D.C. so we said “Nope, you’re not going to do that. We have a bill.”

The Dems said we’re gonna vote no, the Democrats in the House all voted no. Well, the furor of the American people rose as they became aware of what was going on, and the Senators who said will never vote for that voted for it, leaving the House members who voted no hanging high and dry. And the President who said he was gonna veto it, signed it into law saying “I will not side with the carjackers.”

All we got to do is educate the American people, have this furor rise, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll do the right thing, and hold Mr. Mayorkas and Mr. Biden accountable for this open border.

Mayorkas and Migration

In 1990, Congress set immigration caps at roughly 1 million per year and also barred employers from hiring illegal migrants. The inflow was roughly one migrant for every four American births. Since January 2021, Biden and Mayorkas have imported roughly 6 million people via various legal, illegal, and quasi-legal doors at the border. That inflow is roughly three migrants for every four American births.

Mayorkas is a pro-migration zealot. who has said his border management is “all about achieving equity, which is really the core founding principle of our country.” Mayorkas’ demands imply equity between U.S. citizens and foreign citizens, and he has opened many loopholes for millions of economic migrants to cross into the United States.

On May 2023, he explained his motives in a graduation speech to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy:

My drive has been defined by a very clear purpose. My mother’s and father’s life journeys were defined by displacement. My mother was twice a refugee, first from war-torn Europe and, 19 years later, with my father, my sister, and me from the communist takeover of Cuba. My mother lost most of her family to the Nazi concentration camps, and she never really regained her sense of security. In Cuba, my father lost the business he had started, as well as the chance to be by his mother’s side when she passed. My parents were both extraordinary people – principled and kind beyond measure. They instilled in me the values by which they lived unflinchingly … They are the primary engine of my drive, and the primary reason why I work so hard, my purpose.

But that humanitarian pitch is tied to a promise of cheap labor for business investors. On December 13, for example, Mayorkas told ElPasoMatters.org:

Our immigration system as a whole is broken. It hasn’t been updated or reformed in more than 40 years. We look to our partner to the north that has a much more nimble immigration system that can be retooled to the needs at the moment. For example, Canada is in need of 1 million workers and they have agreed that in 2023, they will admit 1.4 million … immigrants to fill that labor need that Canadians themselves cannot. We are stuck in antiquated laws that do not meet our current needs. And they haven’t been working for many, many years.

Amid the massive inflow of roughly 2 million global economic migrants, Mayorkas insists the border is “secure,” and rejects any criticism of his deadly, elite-backed wealth-shifting policies. “We cannot have the rights and the needs of individuals who are seeing humanitarian relief in the United States be exploited for political purposes,” he told ABC News on January 1.

In February 2023, Mayorkas said Congress’ laws are less important than his pro-migration priorities.

“Our goal is to achieve operational control of the border … [with] policies that really advance the security of the border, and do not come at the cost of the values of our country,” he said.

Illegal Immigration and Western Spiritual Sickness

Enforcing the law has become abnormal.

The usual suspects have weighed in on recent belated efforts to enforce U.S. immigration laws.

Our now bankrupt media, the corrupt government of Mexico, and the Diversity/Equity/Inclusion apparat have damned a series of laws recently passed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis that enforce existing federal immigration laws.

Such critics seem oblivious to the current violence that is paralyzing Europe in general, and in particular France—as if such European chaos offers no lessons for the U.S. or any other salad-bowl, open-borders Western nation.

Florida decided no longer to provide de facto and illegal exemptions to foreign nationals who entered and now reside in the state illegally.

Gov. De Santis is conveying a message to the country that not enforcing the laws, exempting those who break them, or treating foreign nationals as if they had a birthright to enter the U.S. illegally, does not even win gratitude from those who violate U.S. law.

Such American magnanimity is seen, and rightly so, by illegal immigrants and the government who sends them here, as Western spiritual decadence. Thus illegal immigration is to be unapologetically leveraged and forever manipulated—and rarely to be reciprocated with any appreciation.

The Mexican government was not only more fearful of destroying the U.S. border during the Trump years; it oddly also gave the hated Trump more respect than it had shown either the supposedly messianic Barack Obama or compliant Joe Biden.

Indeed, the more Mexico praised and manipulated Obama and Biden, the more contempt it showed the U.S. Paradoxically, the more Mexico denounced Trump, the more it conceded to Trump that it must begin to cease its export of multimillions of its own citizens.

No one is now arguing that Florida is breaking any laws by enforcing them.

Again, the outrage is instead over the state’s legal adherence to the law.

No one privately believes the illegal aliens affected by the new enforcement are euphemistically merely “undocumented migrants.”

In truth, illegal aliens never sought nor possessed nor intended to possess immigration “documents” in the first place, although millions of would-be law-abiding immigrants easily do just that. Instead, they have shown contempt for U.S. laws and those who made and enforced them.

So “illegal alien” is precisely the correct term. Most other euphemisms are designed deliberately to obfuscate criminality and brand anyone a racist who would seek to differentiate legal immigrants from illegal immigrants, and legally residing aliens from illegally residing aliens.

The Hostility of Mexico

Note that the Mexican government now routinely urges those of its expanding expatriate community that are legal U.S. citizens to vote against Republican candidates in general, and De Santis in particular. Such interference is simply a warning sign of how much illegal immigration has warped the entire political landscape of America.

Imagine if a Republican U.S. president urged the 1.6 million American citizens now residing in Mexico to speak out against Mexico City’s immigration policies. Or what if he hectored millions of Mexican citizens now residing in the U.S. to become politically active in opposing the Obrador government? Would the Mexican people applaud that interference?

Note that Mexico never shows appreciation that some 20-30 millions of its citizens have entered the U.S. illegally and with impunity and been treated as if they were citizens. Instead, it is always a demand for more, more and more. Indeed, any mere suggestion of enforcing our own law—not Mexico usurpation of it—is again smeared as “racism.”

Why does Mexico feel it has an inherent right to mock U.S. laws—aside from the natural contempt it holds for America for reacting in such logical fashion to its aggression?

Remittances via illegal immigration is a $30 billion profitable Mexican enterprise. U.S. cash sent southward is the largest source of its foreign income.

Exporting human capital reduces social welfare costs for a racialist Mexican government that does not extend sufficient social welfare for many of its own largely indigenous people in the south.

Through illegal immigration, Mexico creates a favorable expatriate community that helps to influence U.S. policy to transition illegal aliens to citizens through blanket amenities.

It encourages those to enter the U.S. without background checks, on the self-interested rationale of also sending northward felons and others deemed undesirables by the Mexican government.

Moreover, Mexico attacks any smidgeon of U.S. immigration law enforcement on the strategy of putting Americans on the defensive as “racists” and “xenophobes.” That way it softens any American pushback to the cartels’ exportation of Chinese-reformulated fentanyl to the U.S.

Apparently, the billions of dollars the cartels harvest from their drug profits that pour into the Mexican economy outweigh the dangers such criminals pose to the rule of law in Mexico.

Mexico City acts as if the 100,000 norteños gringos that die from illegally imported Mexican opioids are tolerable collateral damage. In some sick way, does weaponizing cartel fentanyl serve Mexico by creating a sort of deterrence against enforcing the rule of law across the entire border—as in ”close the border—and you’ll get even more of our drugs!”?

In a word, any unbiased and disinterested observer would interpret the behavior of the Mexican government as at war with the U.S.

The European Mess

We are beginning to see something similar now coming to a head in Western European countries such as France, the Netherlands, and Sweden in particular, but also Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Greece. While European illegal immigration differs from the American brand, the same parameters of Western spiritual bankruptcy persist.

Mexico and its citizens accept that millions in Mexico prefer to live in the United States even though America is premised on principles antithetical to Mexico.

They also assume that by smearing the American hosts as racists, xenophobes and nativists, they will achieve greater concessions.

So too millions of North Africans, Middle Easterners and sub-Saharan Africans flee without legal sanction to Europe.

The premise shared by such illegal immigrants, their host country, and their home governments is that literally hundreds of millions of people would prefer to move to Europe—and abandon their own homes, extended families, and familiar landscapes to enter a completely alien and antithetical culture.

Such illegal aliens, like those who enter the U.S., likewise assume they can lodge preemptive indictments of their hosts as racists, nativists and xenophobes—largely on the brief that after leaving their own poorer and often most failed states, they did not magically obtain near parity soon enough after arrival.

Illegal aliens in Europe further feel they can enter a mutually beneficial relationship with Western Leftists. The Left will normalize and amnesty their illegality. It will claim their own governments and people are racists for looking askance at illegal immigration. And it then will leverage illegal aliens to form a large new demographic bloc that will support leftist causes, either in the street, or legally through acquisitions of amnesty, green cards, and eventually citizenship.

In other words, the Left increasingly has realized in both Europe and North America that its policies on immigration, identity politics, climate change and fossil fuels, crime and the economy are nihilist.

Their agendas eventually transform their large cities into precivilizational enclaves. And they are losing popular support. Thus the international Western Left needs both new voters and new dependents to be whipped up to serve as blameless victims of their conservative enemies.

The Illogic of Illegal Immigration

One could argue over whether 18th and 19th-century Western imperialism and colonization of Asian, African, and New World landscapes proved solely lethal and toxic or sometimes beneficial to native peoples or both.

And further few can agree whether colonization proved in the long run and in a cost-to-benefit analysis, even predictably profitable for European interlopers, colonists and imperialists.

Yet whatever one’s take on past European colonization beyond the borders of Europe, what is indisputable is that most colonized people eventually rose up and threw out colonials—whether by violence in Algeria, Kenya, Rhodesia or Vietnam, or transitionally and over time in India, Libya or Egypt.

Apparently, sinful Westerners were once spit out abroad, but as penance now are to be hosts to millions from those lands they fled.

But on what logic or premises exactly?

Did the former victims of colonialism announce, “We hated you and yours so much in our country that we are now risking our lives to join you in yours?”

Or was the subtext the placard slogan used by demonstrators on the closure of the once huge American base at Subic Bay in the Philippines, “Yanquis, go home!—and take me with you?”

In surreal terms, the old anti-colonialist mantras of the 1950s and 1960s of “our country for ourselves” has now become something like, “Keep out of our country, but don’t keep us out of yours.”

What is far more astounding are the actual illogical absurdities of illegal immigration as it is practiced in the West.

One is the failure to integrate and assimilate into the culture of the host. Note again the logical fallacies. If the immigrant wishes to import his culture and seeks to retain it in Europe and if then that ensuing culture were to become the dominant one, would not the immigrant wish to move away from the very thing he had created—in the manner he had already done so in the past by leaving home?

In other words, if North Africans succeed in xeroxing Algeria or Somalia in France, why would they stay in France, since they already had fled to there precisely because it was not Algeria or Somalia?

Second, what about the ancient relationship between the guest, or rather the uninvited guest, and the host? Has it ever been a custom in any culture, country, or civilization in any era, that the guest enters the home of his host and makes demands upon it?

Or more absurdly, do uninvited guests ever fault the furnishings, the food, or the ambience of what the host has offered to him? Did Homer and his gods approve when the suitors made demands on the house of their host Penelope?

The answer is, of course no, because of an ancient comeback—so often caricatured but never refuted by the Left—that if the present wares are so bad, then why not just be free of them, leave and return home to paradise?

If President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico is so critical of the U.S., then why does he not block the border and insist that his citizens stay home safely far distant from a toxic host and its contaminating culture?

But again these are mere word games because we know the answers to all the above paradoxes and absurdities.

Western Spiritual Sickness

The non-West sees a richer, more leisured, and more relativist West as something akin to H.G. Wells’s posthuman Elois—strangely effete creatures who coast on the fumes of a distant past that once bequeathed to them their present wealth and leisure. Yet these perceived unworthy inheritors of the work of prior generations are seen as hardly deserving of respect. Indeed, they rightfully earn from illegal immigrants even greater contempt for not defending what they enjoy.

Thus, millions with impunity swarm American and European borders. Many are defiant in smearing their would-be hosts as racists or worse for daring to enforce the sort of immigration laws taken for granted in their own homelands.

In Paris, they riot and burn on the assumption that the soft West deserves what is dished out. The host apparently is seen as some sort of sick masochist who enjoys being told how sinful the West was and is—and how deserving it is of a comeuppance of riot, arson, mayhem and violence.

If that logic seems preposterous, then why does the violence periodically break out to such devastating effect? Exploitation? Racism? Yet, in Europe there is less of both than in his prior homeland, evident by the vote of his own two feet.

The Ethiopian in Italy, or the Algerian in France apparently sees his European host also as a sheep that merely bays when given a needed periodic sheering—albeit with the care of the sheerer to clip away at, but not extinguish, his bountiful host.

A Middle East immigrant to Sweden would never act as he routinely does in Malmo if he were in Budapest, much less in Singapore or Beijing. An illegal immigrant knows that as much as he detests the French and loathes the Dutch, he needs more of the French and more of the Dutch than more of himself in the land of the French and Dutch—if his dreams and agendas of living differently from where he came from are to be reified.

None of these irrationalities are about race. Instead, they pertain to human nature and culture. And the fault is not all the on the part of the illegal alien, and his plethora of self-serving hypocrisies.

His host is culpable as well. The West demands little of the illegal entrant, whether defined as obedience to laws, or to melt into and absorb the culture that he has voted for with his feet. The Westerner’s greatest fear is not even hostile, violent, and unassimilated illegal aliens, but the perception that such a community judges the Westerner as illiberal.

Instead, the post-civilizational Westerner has lost all confidence in his homeland, his traditions, his values, and his very future, to the point that he is well beyond the inability of defending his civilization—given that he no longer even knows how to define it.

Report: ‘Dangerous’ NYC Migrant Shelters Filled with Gang Members

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JUNE 6:Hundreds of asylum seekers line up outside of the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building on June 6, 2023 in New York City. New York City has provided sanctuary to over 46,000 asylum seekers since 2013, when the city passed a law prohibiting city agencies …

New York City’s migrant shelters are plagued with “volatile” and “dangerous” conditions, prompting a search by city officials to hire private security guards for the facilities, a report details.

Since the spring of last year, more than 84,000 border crossers and illegal aliens have arrived in New York City with about 50,000 remaining in shelters across the city, now outnumbering native New Yorkers.

Gregory Floyd with Teamsters Local 237 told the New York Post that the migrant shelters are too dangerous for the unarmed peace officers he represents. Some, Floyd said, are gang members.

“There are migrants who are gang members in these facilities,” Floyd told the Post.

“It’s volatile. It’s dangerous,” he continued. “We don’t know if all these migrants are properly vetted. My members are unarmed.”

As Breitbart News reported, more than six-in-ten border crossers and illegal aliens who have arrived in New York City since the spring of last year are living off local taxpayers in subsidized housing and shelters — including luxury hotels like the Roosevelt Hotel.

The sheer volume of border crossers and illegal aliens staying in shelters has increased the system’s population by more than 110 percent since Adams took office. To afford subsidizing new arrivals, Adams has said New Yorkers will see public services like meals for senior citizens and library hours cut.

Every day, illegal immigration is costing New Yorkers nearly $8 million, and by the middle of next year, Mayor Eric Adams predicts it will have cost more than $4.2 billion.

Eric Adams Blames Media for New Yorkers' Worries About Crime

New York City mayor Eric Adams (D.) downplayed residents' fears about crime in the city, blaming the media for its coverage.

"They start their day picking up the news, the morning papers … and they see some of the most horrific events that may happen throughout the previous day," Adams told Fox 5 New York on Wednesday. He added that the coverage "plays on your psyche."

Adams was responding to a Siena College poll that found 41 percent of New York State residents have never felt as concerned about their safety as they do now. The vast majority, 87 percent, said crime is a very or somewhat serious problem in the city and state.

"We know it’s going to take time," Adams said. "But if you lead off every day with some of the horrific incidents that take place in the city with 8.5 million people, there’s a feeling that you have."

Even Alvin Bragg, the city's progressive district attorney, admitted this week he is fearful of crime on the subway. "I know the statistics that transit crime is down, but when one of my family members gets on the train, I, too, get a knot in my stomach," he said.

Amid the crime worries, the New York Police Department is struggling. A report from March showed New York City police officers are resigning in record numbers. The NYPD at the same time lowered its fitness requirements to bring more women on the force.

Adams caught negative press last week when the New York Times reported that he lied about a photograph of a fallen police officer. Adams has frequently shown the photo and says he has kept it with him for decades in his wallet. In reality, his office printed the photo from Google and altered it to make it appear faded.

Adams isn't the only official under fire. City Council digital press aide Ember Ollom was called out by the city's police union after a tweet from 2020 resurfaced. "I would like it on the record that I would like you all to throw more bottles at cops and torch more vans," Ollom said in the May 2020 tweet, the New York Post reported. The call for violence against police came amid the George Floyd riots.

The disgruntled patient who shot and killed a top hand surgeon in the exam room in Memphis yesterday after threatening him for a week has been identified as Larry Pickens.

Pickens, 29, shot and killed Dr. Benjamin Mauck at the Campbell Clinic in Collierville, Memphis, at 2pm.

It remains unclear what the shooter's motive was. Until yesterday, he had no criminal record.

Collierville Police Department is refusing to discuss the details of the shooting, citing the ongoing criminal investigation.

Pickens is being held on a $1.2million bond and will appear in court tomorrow. He was arrested outside the clinic yesterday after fleeing with his pistol. His last known address is around 10 miles from the clinic.

Dr Mauck, 43, was remembered as a phenomenal doctor.

Many of his patients, who lauded him as 'kind, funny, and smart,' said he saved their lives with his vital work.

He leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane said: 'It's bad. It's horrific. It's terrible.

'So, this appears to be a one-on-one interaction that occurred within an exam room. This was not a mass shooting situation.'

In an update, the police department wrote: 'The suspect in this incident is in custody as we continue to investigate.

'This was a single shooting, not an active shooting incident.'

'Tragedies like this underscore the urgent need for common sense – like reinstating background checks and gun licenses, and establishing new reforms like an order of protection so police can remove firearms from a person who is threatening others,' Akbari said in a statement.

'Whether you’re at school, a grocery store or on the job, you deserve to live and work free from gun violence.'

Dr Mauck told the magazine just last month: 'It's never boring.

'This work involves treating sports injuries, trauma, cancer, and soft-tissue defects. It's a field of orthopedics that crosses over into other specialties like plastic surgery and neurology.'

He warned before the Fourth of July: 'Keep your kids away from fireworks.'

He worked as a hand surgeon at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics and was also the head of the Congenital Hand Clinic at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. According to the clinic's website, Mauck specialized in elbow, hand, and wrist surgery.

Dr Mauck graduated from Lambuth University in 2002, before attending med school at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. He then completed his residency at UT-Campbell Clinic.

Irina Ollar, director of marketing and PR at Campbell Clinic, said in a statement: 'Earlier today, we experienced a single shooter event inside our Collierville clinic.

'We are shocked and heartbroken to confirm the incident resulted in the tragic loss of one of our highly respected and beloved physicians, Dr. Ben Mauck. We ask that you please lift his family in prayer.

'During this difficult time, we will be working through many details and will keep you updated as we are able.

'We have decided to close all Campbell Clinic locations tomorrow, July 12 and will communicate the reopening of all facilities at a later time.

'We appreciate our local law enforcement officers who responded within minutes. We will continue to work closely with authorities as this remains an active investigation.

'Our priorities remain Faith, Family and Patient Care. At this time, we ask for your prayers for the entire Campbell Clinic family, as well as for the privacy of Dr. Mauck's family.'

Dr. Trey Eubanks, interim president, surgeon-in-chief at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, said: 'We were shocked to learn that Campbell Clinic and Le Bonheur surgeon Ben Mauck tragically was killed today at his clinic in Collierville.

'Ben was a friend to so many of us – a respected member of our Le Bonheur family, a beloved colleague and a dedicated physician to so many patients.

'We already miss him.

'His death is an unthinkable tragedy, and I am at loss at what to say. I am so sorry to those who loved and knew him, for those who worked alongside him every day.

'I am also grateful to this team, all of you. And I encourage each of you to be gentle with each other during this time. Ask for support and offer it when needed. We will all be affected by this loss in some way.

'We will schedule debriefings and offering spiritual care and EAP sessions.

'Please keep the entire Campbell Clinic family and especially Ben's family in your thoughts and prayers.'

All Campbell Clinic locations will remain closed.

Dozens of tributes to the stellar doctor flooded social media on Tuesday.

Kristina Austin, who studied at school with the doctor, wrote: 'Everyday we are bombarded with senseless loss of lives, then one day it's someone you know, someone that you grew up with, cheered for on the basketball court, sat at a lunch table with in the cafeteria, stood next to in the commencement line, graduated with.

'Someone who was always a genuinely kind person. Someone who spent years studying medicine to become a surgeon & help others. Today that someone was Ben Mauck.

'Only 5 days ago he was featured as a top doctor spotlight in Memphis Magazine, little could anyone imagine how quickly things would change.

'The ridiculousness of the tragedies we endure as a society now will always be beyond our comprehension because there is no reason for them. There was no reason for Ben Mauck to lose his life today.

'Enough has got to be enough. It is my greatest prayer that our world regains some sort of moral compass.

'It is my prayer tonight though that Mrs. Ann Mauck, the family and all those touched by Ben will be comforted by God's unfailing love.

'We will never understand why, and our hearts definitely ache, but we can take comfort knowing that Ben is in the arms of the greatest physician tonight.'

Pamela Griffin, one of Mauck's patients, said: 'I am saddened by this news. I broke my fingertip in October and Dr. Benjamin Mauck performed my surgery on my hand.

'I've been visiting him every six weeks. He was really trying to help me gain full motion back in my right ring finger.

'I would've been seeing him next Tuesday in Collierville. He was a gentle giant with a very humble spirit. Prayers go out to your family and your assistant Ms. Candice. Rest in Love .'

Jackie Kelley, whose family were also treated by the doctor, added: 'So senseless and sad. He was such a nice person and a phenomenal surgeon. He did my husband's hand twice.'

His former colleague Calissa Kneip said: 'Oh my goodness, I used to work with Dr Mauck all the time for 8 years. This is so horrifying. He was shot & killed by a disgruntled patient in an exam room today. I'm in complete shock.

'We loved you, Dr Mauck, and you helped so many people. RIP and prayers for his precious young family & my Campbell Clinic family.'

Josh Jacobs, who said that Dr Mauck saved his life by performing his amputation, wrote online: 'Praying for Dr. Benjamin Mauck's friends, family, and coworkers. Wishing them all peace.

'He was the hand surgeon who found my cancer and performed my amputation. I give him partial credit for possibly saving my life.

'The work he did for me was amazing. This is very sad news to hear.'

Mauck's former patient Tori Petrus Eads wrote: 'I'm heartbroken that Dr. Benjamin Mauck was killed today! He has been my doctor for years. He was kind, smart, funny and a great teacher.

'He always used me to teach his residents how to inject joints. We joked that the only thing more painful was listening to me talk the whole time. Pray for him and his family.'

Marcie Taylor Stewart also remembered the doctor: 'Dr. Benjamin Mauck…the sweetest, most thorough hand specialist around. Thank you for saving my husband's hand and his ability to practice dentistry.

'Thank you for giving him hope with his Dupuytrens syndrome in his hands. What a loss your gifts as an orthopedic surgeon will be. What a loss to the hands that need your care.

'Prayers for your family, friends, patients and all that love you. The loss of this wonderful man and medical professional is just senseless!!!

'Thank you for treating your patients so well Dr. Mauck. You will be missed. Shame on the person that took you from this world, your family and your profession that blessed so many.'

Four adults and two teenagers were arrested in Houston, Texas, after following a man home and robbing him in his driveway.

The six men followed Cipriano Cazares Sandoval home after he finished cashing a check at a business for his daughter living in Mexico, ABC 13 reported.

Surveillance footage shows Sandova’s truck blocked in his driveway, as two of the men approached him pointing guns.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for an attacker who randomly struck a man in the head with a baseball bat multiple times in broad daylight, the department announced on Tuesday.

The attack occurred on Thursday around 2:50 p.m., according to authorities. The 37-year-old victim was walking at Aqueduct Avenue and West 183rd Street in the Bronx when the attacker approached him, pulled out a bat, and repeatedly struck him in the head.

The assailant immediately fled the scene and is still on the loose as of Tuesday.

NYPD put out a wanted notice for the attacker and urged residents to “ DM @NYPDTips, or call 800-577-TIPS” if they have any info on the attack.

The victim “sustained a laceration to his head, as well as bruising,” according to law enforcement. He was rushed to a local hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

President Joe Biden, his administration, and the corporate media tried their best over the last two and a half years to downplay the record number of illegal border crossings, but a majority of Americans aren’t buying into the lie that the ongoing border crisis is improving....

A new poll from Pew Research found that 73 percent of Americans think the Biden administration is doing a bad job at handling the U.S.-Mexico border. MONICA SHOWALTER

Still Subsidizing Sanctuaries

DOJ sends millions to jurisdictions that undermine federal law and public safety

In 2021, the Department of Justice gave out approximately $300 million to sanctuary jurisdictions under three funding programs — the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), the Byrne Justice Assistance Grants (JAG), and the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program. The awards to sanctuaries represented more than 40 percent of the available funding under these programs. Sanctuary jurisdictions are receiving this funding despite having adopted policies to hinder cooperation between local law enforcement agencies and federal immigration authorities. As a result, the federal government is subsidizing agencies that may be violating federal law and undermining public safety.

Key Findings:

  • Nearly $300 million was awarded to sanctuary jurisdictions in 2021, representing 43 percent of all of the funding awarded in the SCAAP, Byrne JAG, and COPS funding programs.
  • Eleven sanctuary state agencies and 86 localities that have sanctuary policies or are located within sanctuary states received funding in 2021.
  • State agencies in California, which has one of the most egregious state sanctuary laws, received $82 million in DOJ grants — not counting tens of millions in additional funding for individual cities and counties in the state.
  • Among localities, the biggest recipients were Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
  • The majority of SCAAP and Byrne JAG program funding went to sanctuary jurisdictions in 2021; 58 percent of the SCAAP funding and 68 percent of the Byrne JAG funding went to sanctuaries, while 28 percent of the COPS funding went to sanctuaries.

The Center for Immigration Studies has identified nearly 300 states and localities that have adopted sanctuary policies.1 These cities, counties, and states have laws, ordinances, regulations, resolutions, policies, or other practices that obstruct immigration enforcement and shield criminals from ICE — either by refusing to or prohibiting agencies from complying with ICE detainers, imposing unreasonable conditions on detainer acceptance, denying ICE access to interview incarcerated aliens, or otherwise impeding communication or information exchanges between their personnel and federal immigration officers.

Certain of these policies have been found to be a violation of federal law (8 USC 1373 and 1644), which says that no state or local government may prohibit or in any way restrict local officials from communicating with federal immigration authorities about a person’s immigration status.2

Our analysis examines three DOJ grant programs: the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), the Edward M. Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG), and the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). The purpose of SCAAP is to reimburse state and local prisons and jails for a portion of the cost of incarcerating illegal aliens who were held on state and local charges.3 The Byrne JAG program is the leading source of federal justice funding that goes directly to state and local jurisdictions for a range of activities, including prosecution and law enforcement.4 The COPS grant program provides funding for community policing efforts in localities around the country.5

These DOJ programs are among the largest sources of federal funding for state and local law enforcement agencies. Longstanding eligibility rules require that recipients must be in compliance with all federal laws. Beginning in 2016, congressional appropriators and Justice Department officials stipulated that this included the provisions in federal law that prohibit certain sanctuary policies, and took steps to block certain jurisdictions from receiving funds under these programs.6 Several jurisdictions moved to change their policies, including Miami-Dade County in Florida, and others refused to change, but were blocked from certain DOJ funding programs. A series of lawsuits ensued, with varying outcomes, resulting in an attempted appeal to the Supreme Court, which dismissed the cases as moot7 after the incoming Biden administration rescinded the rules barring sanctuaries.8

This report examines the distribution of SCAAP, Byrne JAG, and COPS funding to sanctuary jurisdictions in 2021, which are presented in Table 1. The award amounts and total available funds are compiled from publicly available award announcements on the Justice Department web site.9

Table: Department of Justice Funding of Sanctuary Jurisdictions, 2021

Table: Top 10 Sanctuary Localities for DOJ Funding

  • SCAAP awards are granted to both state and county corrections agencies. In sanctuary states, both state and county totals are compiled. Those counties that have sanctuary policies above and beyond the state policy are itemized to show their totals, while all other counties within a sanctuary state are compiled under “All Other Localities”. In states that do not have state-wide sanctuary policies, only the unique sanctuary counties’ awards are itemized.
  • Byrne JAG grants are disclosed according to state allocations, which are then distributed within the state. Only sanctuary state totals are itemized here, as local allocations could not be readily determined.
  • COPS grants are awarded to municipal, county, tribal, and state entities, as well as to a few non-governmental organizations. Only state, county, and municipal grants were counted. Awards to unique local sanctuary jurisdictions and also municipalities within sanctuary states were counted, as were certain municipalities that are tied to county sanctuary policies.

Nearly $300 million went to sanctuary jurisdictions in 2021 from these three federal law enforcement grants alone. This total represents a substantial level of federal grant funding going toward jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with or deliberately hinder federal immigration enforcement. Considering that nearly all of the federal immigration enforcement within the country is directed at removing aliens who have committed crimes, and who are quite likely to re-offend if allowed to remain in the community, the sanctuary policies undeniably are undermining public safety and undercutting the effectiveness of the DOJ programs from which they receive funding. According to one government report, about 25 percent of criminal alien offenders who were released by sanctuary jurisdictions were subsequently arrested again within eight months of release.10

Sanctuary policies tend to attract illegal migration and provide a haven for illegal aliens involved in crime. Several drug dealers interviewed for a recent San Francisco Chronicle investigative story on the involvement of illegal aliens from Honduras in the city’s drug trade confirmed as much, telling the reporters that Honduran illegal migrants flock to the city in large part because they know that the city’s sanctuary policies will help them avoid deportation: “The reason is because, in San Francisco, it’s like you’re here in Honduras. The law, because they don’t deport, that’s the problem. ... Many look for San Francisco because it’s a sanctuary city. You go to jail and you come out.”11

Now, instead of requiring awardees to demonstrate that they are in compliance with the federal law on sanctuary policies, DOJ has begun requiring recipient agencies to provide information on their adherence to certain Biden administration policing policy preferences. For instance, to receive a Byrne JAG grant, since January 2022 law enforcement agency applicants must complete a questionnaire seeking attestations on matters such as the agencies’ use of force policies, “policies and/or procedures that incorporate best practices on officer hiring, recruitment, and retention to include diversity, equity, and inclusion”, and efforts to address racial, ethnic, gender, and LGBTQIA bias.12

While it may not be possible for the federal government to compel state and local governments to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, it is reasonable for the federal government to try to discourage sanctuary policies and penalize jurisdictions that choose to obstruct such a legitimate and vital federal activity. The limits on a president’s authority to do so have yet to be fully defined in the courts, but in the meantime Congress certainly has the authority to impose conditions on federal funding programs that could block access for sanctuary jurisdictions. In addition, the existence of sanctuary policies should be recognized by the federal government, citizens, and other stakeholders as a potential risk factor on the same level as other governance considerations, for example when issuing bond credit ratings or other assessments of a state or local government’s stability. Finally, state governments can take action to penalize or prohibit local sanctuary policies, as Texas, Florida, and eight other states have done.

California Democrats Block Bill to Make Child Trafficking a Felony

A Democrat-run committee of the California State Assembly blocked a bill Tuesday that would have made trafficking a minor a “serious felony.” The Republican bill had already passed the State Senate unanimously.

Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) introduced the bill, SB 14, which also notes that California leads the nation in reported cases of human trafficking of minors. The inclusion of trafficking a minor as a “serious felony” would make that crime ineligible for plea bargaining in most circumstances and would require that the crime be included under the state’s 1990s-era “Three Strikes” law, allowing for life imprisonment after three felonies.

However, Grove noted Tuesday, the Public Safety Committee, led by Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-South Los Angeles), declined to advance the bill.

Jones-Sawyer is also the author of a bill that would allow judges to use criminal sentencing to “rectify racial bias” in the criminal justice system.

In a statement, Grove said:

After passing the Senate with a unanimous, bipartisan vote, I had hoped Democrats on the Assembly Public Safety Committee, led by Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer, would agree to make sex trafficking of a minor a serious felony. I am profoundly disappointed that committee Democrats couldn’t bring themselves to support the bill, with their stubborn and misguided objection to any penalty increase regardless of how heinous the crime.

Human trafficking of children is a growing tragedy that disproportionately targets minority girls, and California is a hotbed because of our lenient penalties. The sad reality is that trafficked children on Figueroa Street and across California will continue to be raped and victimized until Assembly Democrats take action. Since the bill was granted reconsideration, I will continue to work with the committee and fight for Californians who are outraged by their decision.

SB 14 was voted down in the Assembly Public Safety Committee with 6 Democrats abstaining and 2 Republicans voting aye. The measure was also granted reconsideration.

The bill is eligible for reconsideration, which means it could still pass.

The scourge of human trafficking is dramatized in the surprise independent box office hit Sound of Freedom, which has drawn audiences across the nation, surpassing recent mainstream Hollywood studio releases.
