Democrats are pushing for former President Donald Trump’s trial to be televised, as detailed in a letter to Judge Roslynn R. Mauskopf, who serves as director of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts as well as secretary to the Judicial Conference.

The letter, signed by well over two dozen House Democrats, requests that the Judicial Conference “explicitly” authorizes Trump’s criminal trials to be televised, asserting that it is crucial for the sake of transparency. Notably, Chief Justice Chief Justice John Roberts stands as the presiding officer of the Judicial Conference.

The letter reads:

We are writing to request the Judicial Conference explicitly authorize the broadcasting of court proceedings in the cases of United States of America v. Donald J. Trump. It is imperative the Conference ensures timely access to accurate and reliable information surrounding these cases and all of their proceedings, given the extraordinary national importance to our democratic institutions and the need for transparency.

The letter pushes the Judicial Conference to do so, given its past support for “increased transparency and public access to the courts’ activities.”

“Given the historic nature of the charges brought forth in these cases, it is hard to imagine a more powerful circumstance for televised proceedings,” the Democrats pleaded, cautioning that the general public may not accept the outcome, whatever it may be if the trials are kept under wraps.

“If the public is to fully accept the outcome, it will be vitally important for it to witness, as directly as possible, how the trials are conducted, the strength of the evidence adduced and the credibility of witnesses,” the Democrats continued.

“We urge the conference to take additional steps, including live broadcasting, to ensure the facts of this case are brought forward, unfiltered, to the public,” they added.

Signers included Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Dan Goldman (D-NY), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), and many more.

The August 3 letter came the same day as former President Donald Trump’s arraignment in Washington, DC, following his third indictment in the past few months. This week, special counsel Jack Smith announced that a grand jury had indicted Trump on charges relating to the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot. Charges include conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

Trump spoke to reporters outside of Reagan National Airport following his court appearance, calling it a “very sad day for America.”

“This is a persecution of a political opponent. This was never supposed to happen in America,” he continued.

Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba spoke to reporters while Trump remained inside the courthouse, explaining that it was no coincidence that the latest charges followed more revelations about the corruption of the Biden family — namely, Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer implicating President Joe Biden.

“The fact that I am standing here for the third time in five months is not a coincidence,” Habba said. “This is the Biden political lawfare that we have seen time and time again. It is a deflection from everything that they have done.”

Trump’s staff also made this point in a flier handed to reporters, demonstrating similar parallels:

“This is not a coincidence,” Habba continued. “This is election interference at its finest against the leading candidate right now for president, for either party. President Trump is under siege in a way that we have never seen before.”

Gallup Poll: Majority of Americans See Biden Administration’s Ethics as ‘Not Good’ or ‘Poor’

A recent Gallup poll showed that the majority of Americans view the Biden administration’s ethics more negatively than positively.

Gallup highlighted the results Thursday, which said that just 4 in 10 Americans (42 percent) say top Biden administration officials’ ethical standards are excellent or good, while the majority (55 percent) say they are “not good” or poor.

Specifically, only 8 percent said the administration’s standards were excellent, 34 percent said they were good, 18 percent said they were not good, and 37 percent said they were poor.

A Gallup article said the results could be connected to “IRS whistleblower claims about FBI and Justice Department favoritism toward the president’s son, Hunter Biden, in their investigations of him for federal corruption, as well as tax and gun crimes.”

The poll was conducted July 3-27. The results mirrored Biden’s 40 percent job approval rating in the same poll, Gallup said.

Although Biden had campaigned on restoring “decency” and “fairness,” his administration’s ethical standards rating more than two years in is only slightly higher than the Trump administration’s ratings of 37 percent and 38 percent.

The Biden administration’s rating is also lower than other presidential administrations since Reagan, which ranged from 50 percent to 74 percent.

The results broke down along partisan lines, with 84 percent of Democrats and only 6 percent of Republicans saying the Biden administration’s ethics are excellent or good.

“Cross-party support has been steadily dwindling on this measure from a relatively generous assessment in 1994, partly explaining Biden’s and Trump’s low ratings,” Gallup said.

Gallup said in an article summarizing the results:

Biden started his presidency by signing an executive order on ethics, committing his administration to certain high standards in doing the public’s business and avoiding personal conflicts of interest.

Democrats’ high positive ratings of Biden administration ethics indicate the president’s own party members believe he has fulfilled this pledge. Republicans’ extremely low ratings suggest they do not. And while this may be somewhat automatic in today’s politically polarized environment, Republicans’ extraordinarily low confidence in Biden administration ethics could also be connected to IRS whistleblower claims about FBI and Justice Department favoritism toward the president’s son, Hunter Biden, in their investigations of him for federal corruption, as well as tax and gun crimes.

On Wednesday, the Washington Post‘s fact-checker Glenn Kessler gave Biden four Pinocchios for lying about his son Hunter making money in China.

Watching the crooks

I recently had a “procedure” – the kind that makes you think about matters far weightier even than the fact that our nation is now provably being led by a crime family which would shame the Gambinos  as rank amateurs.

I confess to a weakness from which we all may suffer to one degree or another in these darkest days of our nation since the War Between the States. It is the surreal attraction we feel -- some may call it close to an obsession -- at having to know every single criminal act of the ever-burgeoning class of traitorous vermin we learn about every day. Those of us on the right are drawn in as  a moth to a  flame by the sheer overwhelming putrescence of the criminal class we see before us. As I write this, in our peaceful community brushed by the Gulf Breezes from whence came its name, it is even hard for me -- a very elderly (as I was reminded again by the need to have the aforementioned “procedure”), very jaded trial lawyer with much actual experience in dealing with people of the rotten class, to believe that our Founding Fathers risked “our Lives, our Fortunes, our sacred Honor” so that their gift to all of us could be handed over to pond scum like Joe Biden.

I do not recall a time when our nation was so transfixed by the antics of the criminal class, with the possible exception of the Watergate era. This is not to say that these events, the corruption of the Biden Crime Family and the ongoing Banana Republic constant legal harassment of Biden’s presumptive opponent in the 2024 election, are in any sense not important enough to command the attention of all responsible citizens. It does seem noteworthy to me, however, that we are seemingly caught in a vortex of news stories about the exact language of indictments, long transcripts of sworn testimony all of which are reported to us with strong admonitions that we must -- immediately! -- read this or that literally existential document which alone could bring the end of the Republic. I do not recall a time so immersed in this kind of -- for want of a better word -- psychosis.

Perhaps I’m wrong, but it does strike me, as one who is drawn to the flame myself, as something akin to a national fever of some kind.

Although I intend to keep myself informed of the news, I am going to turn my concentration away from these transient criminals who have infected our beloved nation and focus on the things which should resume their central place of honor and love: family, dear friends, neighbors, community, our children – the very essence of our hope and our future. And love for the greatest nation ever created by the minds of the most providential group of men in history -- our Founding Fathers.

WATCH: Joe Biden's 'Sad and Disturbing' Journey to Accepting His Granddaughter's Existence

The cruelty is the point, folks

What happened: President Joe Biden finally acknowledged his seventh grandchild—a four-year-old girl named Navy Joan—more than three years after an Arkansas court established "with scientific certainty" that Hunter Biden was the child's father.

• The 80-year-old president admitted to having seven grandchildren in a statement provided to People magazine late Friday afternoon.

What they're saying: "This is not a political issue, it's a family matter," Biden said in the statement. "[Dr.] Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy."

Why it matters: Biden claims to care about family more than anything else. Nevertheless, the president repeatedly refused to acknowledge his granddaughter and ordered White House staff to deny that she existed.

When asked to comment on the innocent little girl, Biden and his aides responded with a mix of indignation and indifference. Biden only relented after Maureen Dowd wrote a scathing column in the New York Times last month denouncing his behavior.

Crucial context: Hunter Biden claims to have no memory of a romantic encounter with the child's mother, Lunden Roberts. In his 2021 memoir, Hunter explained that during his crack-fueled "rampages," he would cavort with untold numbers of women who were "hardly the dating type."

WATCH: Conservative CNN Guest Destroys Excuses for Bidens' Treatment of Seventh Grandkid

Republican political strategist Scott Jennings set the record straight on President Joe Biden’s treatment of his seventh grandchild during a CNN panel on Sunday.

"It's not Republicans, with all due respect, who made Hunter Biden into a complete scumbag on this and other issues," Jennings said on CNN’s State of the Union. "The ignoring his own daughter, for four years! And the president of the United States hanging up a stocking for the dog, and not for his seventh grandchild!"

Jennings was responding to his fellow panelist, former Biden senior aide Michael LaRosa, who criticized Republicans for "weaponizing" the president's grandchild. CNN anchor Kasie Hunt said that Joe Biden has made "being a family man a central part of his political identity." She later interrupted Jennings to tell him to "keep this conversation respectful," saying we can "have sympathy for people who are struggling with addiction."

The discussion comes after the president finally acknowledged his seventh grandchild late Friday in a statement to People magazine. After years of refusing to acknowledge his granddaughter’s existence, Biden said he and first lady Jill Biden "only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy," the daughter of Hunter Biden and his former mistress Lunden Alexis Roberts.

The statement followed mounting pressure on Joe Biden to recognize Hunter Biden’s lovechild. A New York Times profile on the child and her mother published earlier this month preceded a piece by columnist Maureen Dowd declaring, "It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President."

Jennings reminded Hunt, "Where I’m from, a lot of families deal with addiction."

"You know who ends up picking up the pieces?" Jennings said. "The grandparents. And in this case, the grandparents would not acknowledge this little girl. It is offensive."

Pre-Emptive Presidential Pardons for Joe and Hunter Biden

As the revelations of potential bribery, bank fraud and tax evasion swirl around Joe Biden and Hunter Biden, both men, who are increasingly appearing together, seem extraordinary calm and unconcerned in public as Joe flashes his signature supercilious and mocking smirk whenever he is asked about the various investigation into his and his son’s activities over the past 12 years.  Thanks to pre-emptive presidential pardons, Joe knows that he, Hunter, and the family will never have to answer for any of their alleged egregious criminality.

The Supreme Court has ruled that a president can issue a pardon before charges have been filed.  That pardon power:

...extends to every offense known before the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgement.

Apparently the strategy over the past two and a half years has been for Joe Biden to rely on his sycophants in the Justice Department to stonewall the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate him and to negotiate an absurdly lenient jail-free plea deal with Hunter while the legacy media continued to deliberately ignore or conceal any alleged criminality.

With a court-approved plea deal on the books, the Justice Department could then continue to obfuscate by blithely claiming that they criminally charged Hunter Biden.  Thereafter, they could ignore the calls for a full-scale investigation of bribery and bank fraud allegations until after the 2024 election, when Joe would be safely ensconced once again in the Oval Office and pre-emptive pardons could then be issued with no political fallout for Joe or the Democrat party.

However, on July 26th a federal judge in Delaware has to approve of Hunter’s recently announced absurdly lenient  plea deal on criminal gun and tax evasion charges, unless the Justice Department requests a delay for fear of an adverse ruling.  After the ongoing revelations by the whistleblowers from the IRS, there is certainly ample reason for the judge to reject the plea deal.

If the deal is rejected, the well laid plans of Joe Biden and the Justice Department will require a major revision, as the federal prosecutors and Hunter Biden would have to discuss a possible jail sentence as part of a new plea deal knowing that Hunter would never opt for an open trial.

Even if the judge does accept the plea deal as filed, the Republican House of Representatives is continuing its investigations.  Thanks to a phalanx of patriotic whistleblowers and dogged determination, it appears the House will be able to publicly reveal potentially irrefutable evidence of Joe and Hunter’s criminal activity.  Thus, the Justice Department is finding it difficult to continue burying their heads in the sand and refusing to pursue a criminal investigation of Hunter and possibly other Biden family members without implicating Joe.

This scenario is further complicated by 2024 political considerations as Joe Biden is ostensibly seeking re-election.  The endless disclosures coming out the House are undermining Joe’s standing with the American citizenry and the Democrat party’s ability to retain the presidency.  So, what to do and when with Joe, Hunter, and the family, particularly if Hunter’s plea deal is rejected?

Hunter Biden, as the bag man for his father, has the goods on Joe and he, Hunter, likely is not going to spend years in jail for bribery and fraud without threatening to take Joe down with him.  As their respective careers have underlined, both men are devoid of decency or scruples.   Hunter also knows, thanks to Joe being President, that pre-emptive pardons would be uniquely available for him and the other members of the Biden Crime Family.

At some point soon, Joe will be faced with having to issue pardons for Hunter, James Biden and others.  Does he do it now or wait, as planned, until after November 5, 2024 during the interregnum period between the election and inauguration to grant the pardons?

If Joe issues the pardons anytime soon, or if the Republicans and conservative media can transform the issue of pre-emptive pardons into a major political controversy, his campaign for re-election will be over.   The Democrat party will have to move on to another presidential candidate waiting in the wings. Thus, exacerbating the timing of when the pardons will be issued.

After pardoning Hunter et al, the overarching dilemma for Joe Biden will then be how to pre-emptively pardon himself.

Much has been discussed and written about a president’s power to pardon himself.  Some constitutional scholars claim a president can issue a self-pardon, as the matter wasn’t directly addressed by the Constitutional Convention and as “there are no constraints defined in the Constitution itself that says he can’t do it,” he therefore could self-pardon.

However, a sizable majority of Constitutional scholars claim a president does not have the power of self-pardon and that the Supreme Court would very likely rule against it if the matter ever came before them.  Per prominent Constitutional law professor, Brian C. Kalt:

The Framers either assumed that self-pardons were invalid or at most failed to consider the issue.  The text they wrote does not say anything specific about self-pardons, but their failure to explicitly ban self-pardons cannot be read as a decision to allow them.

Looking at the structure of the Constitution and the government it creates, we find a general distaste for self-dealing and a specific notion of a presidency that is limited in ways that are inconsistent with allowing self-pardons.  Finally, general principles about the rule of law and against self-judging militate strongly in favor of the notion that self-pardons are invalid.

Therefore, it would be risky for Joe Biden to go down the road of a self-pardon, particularly if the Democrats lose the White House in 2024.  However, at his age as well as his mental and physical health, he may consider it worth the risk.

There is, on the other hand, another option that avoids the high probability of a self-pardon being declared invalid.   Mary Lawton, an Assistant Attorney General, wrote the following in 1974 when Nixon was considering a self-pardon:

A different approach to the pardoning problem could be taken under Section 3 of the Twenty-fifth Amendment.  If the President declared that he was temporarily unable to perform the duties of his office, the Vice-President would become acting President and as such he could pardon the President.  Thereafter the President could either resign or resume the duties of his office.

As Biden currently already cannot perform the duties of his office, the above scenario is highly plausible, presuming that the Vice President, Kamala Harris or any possible successor, would be willing to make such a commitment.

In what will be one of the most egregious travesties of justice in American history, these pre-emptive pardons will inevitably be issued during the Biden presidency.

The Democrats and their allies, the legacy media, will dutifully avoid any discussion of pre-emptive pardons.  Therefore, for the next 16 months, the Republican candidates for the presidency, Republican members of Congress, and conservative media must begin to openly, unabashedly, and consistently emphasize this issue of self-pardons and corrupt deals with a vice president.  The vast majority of the American public must be made aware that Joe Biden and his family want to not only escape accountability but that a duplicitous Democrat party will be abetting this travesty.

  • Loving Dad Joe Engages Son in Life of Crime

The propaganda ministry is in full spin mode, trying to explain why Joe Biden is parading around the world with Hunter in tow.  The two are together for state dinners, overseas junkets, and weekends at Camp David.  As the narrative goes, Hunter is a troubled man, victimized by the demon of addiction.  Any appearance of presidential impropriety is simply a loving father concerned about his son, holding him close to keep him out of trouble.

    I say hogwash.

Organized crime bosses protect themselves from legal jeopardy by insulating themselves from the dirty work.  They use underlings to sell their product, collect the money, launder the money, and if necessary take the fall.  If a legal price is to be paid, it's paid by the expendables.  The boss keeps them quiet with hush money, legal assistance, and witness intimidation.

Does anyone believe that a cartel boss helps an arrested underling out of love?  Nope.  He does it in service to his own selfish interests — which brings me to Hunter Biden's loving father, Joe.

We've learned a great deal about the Biden family business in the last three years from abandoned laptops, congressional investigations, and federal whistleblowers.

We know that Hunter was working on a deal with a Chinese energy company in which 10 percent would go to the "big guy."  We learned from Hunter's business partner, Tony Bobulinski, that the "big guy" was Hunter's code name for his dad, Joe Biden.  Oddly, Bobulinski was never interviewed by Biden's consigliere or his crew, the Department of Justice.

What was Hunter selling to the Chinese?  We've learned that from WhatsApp text messages to Henry Zhao, the group chairman of China's Harvest Fund Management.  He texted:

The Bidens are the best I know at doing exactly what the chairman wants from this [partnership].

Oddly, Hunter's communications with the Chinese never discuss any product or service other than access to Joe.  I'm sure what "the Bidens are the best ... at" doesn't involve anything harmful to America — like granting his pal Xi Jinping permission to fly reconnaissance balloons over America.

But Hunter was involved in not only the sales side of the family business.  He also did the dirty work of collections.  In another message to Zhao, he texted:

I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.

That was Hunter Biden giving a Chinese businessman, with ties to Chinese intelligence, an "or else" if they didn't pay up.  Five million bucks arrived in the next few days.

But the Chinese weren't the only clients of Biden Inc.  They also did extensive work (I'm using the term loosely) with Burisma in Ukraine.  A whistleblower has come forward identifying evidence in FBI possession that the Bidens were working a side deal, while Joe was the vice president, to help Burisma Holdings out of some legal difficulties.

It seems Burisma needed a Ukrainian investigation to go away.  Joe helped by threatening to withhold a billion dollars of U.S. aid if the Ukrainians didn't fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma.  The Ukrainians complied, the investigation was terminated, and Hunter and Joe each received $5 million.

The whistleblower claims that the president of Burisma told him that he has audio recordings of his conversation with Joe — presumably as insurance to make sure the bribed stay bribed.  We know that Joe did the deed, because he bragged about it at a Council for Foreign Relations meeting — on video.  Maybe now we have a better idea about why he did the deed.

The Bidens created a vast network of shell companies to launder the money received.  But ill gotten gains are still gains, and subject to taxation.  Therefore, the IRS was following the money.

Investigators had to work their way through the maze of shell companies, which received money, divided it up, moved it around, and eventually deposited it in Biden family bank accounts.  The investigation was a time-consuming process of subpoenaing records, fighting legal resistance, and moving to the next link in the money chain — hoping to reach the end before the statute of limitations expired.  The investigators almost pulled it off — until they were told to stand down, ignore leads associated Joe Biden or the "big guy," and let Hunter off with a couple of misdemeanors for defrauding taxpayers of millions of dollars.

This is all ample evidence that in the Biden family business, Joe had the product, and Hunter took care of sales, collections, and distribution of the proceeds.

Does Joe love Hunter?  Maybe so, but demonstrably not as much as Joe loves Joe.

Would a father who loves a son more than himself involve that son in a criminal enterprise that could land him in jail for decades?

Would a father who's concerned about his troubled son facilitate his access to easy money for drugs, strippers, and hookers?

Wouldn't a loving father try to separate his troubled son from the influences that corrupted him — rather than increase his exposure to temptations at state dinners, West Wing meetings, and overseas travel to meet with foreign businessmen?

Wouldn't a concerned father be able to keep drugs away from his addicted son in the most secure building in the world — the White House?  However, we've learned that the White House was evacuated because a bag of cocaine was found in the West Wing.  We've also learned that the Bidens have directed the White House staff to "lay off" Hunter Biden.  Just how extensive was that directive?  Did it include "laying off" stopping the first son from snorting cocaine in the West Wing?

Those are rhetorical questions.  We know the answers, so spare me the "loving father" nonsense.  Joe is the head of a criminal enterprise, selling government influence to the highest bidder, with complete disregard for America's interests.  He used his son and other family members to do the dirty work of

    • selling the product (influence),
    • collecting the proceeds, and
    • laundering the money for use by the first family.

While they did that, Joe smiled for the cameras and worked to maintain the façade of returning normalcy to the White House.

But Hunter is no criminal mastermind, and he left far too much evidence of family misdeeds for the public to ignore.  Now that Hunter has been caught, Joe is suddenly concerned about his troubled son?  Baloney.  Joe is running interference with the DOJ and keeping Hunter close to keep him quiet.

Nothing Joe Biden is doing is being done out of affection for his son.  It's being done to save his own skin.  He's doing what any other mob boss would do with an underling when the truth starts bubbling to the surface: keep him quiet at all costs.  Some loving father.
