Report: Joe Biden Ignores Most Aides with Ideas About Hunter’s Legal Woes

President Joe Biden reportedly ignores most White House aides when they try to share “contributions” or “ideas” about how to handle Hunter Biden’s legal position, according to a report.

Although a Delaware court dismissed the tax and gun plea deal Thursday against the president’s son, it was only a formality. Special Counsel David Weiss, appointed last week, intends to take his case to trial.

“Inside the White House, most aides strenuously avoid discussing Hunter’s troubles with the president, believing their contributions and ideas would not be welcome,” the Washington Post reported Thursday based on comments from half a dozen current and former administration officials. “[O]nly a small group of longtime trusted aides are engaged in conversations about how to handle family matters.”

Joe Biden, who is reportedly “consumed” with his son Hunter’s scandals, allegedly angrily dismisses White House aides who believe Hunter Biden’s controversial history might politically hurt his father, NBC News reported in June.

“Hands off my family,” Joe Biden reportedly told one aide.

“This is the reality of their family ethos,” a person close to the president allegedly said.

The plea deal broke down last month upon scrutiny from the judge. The agreement afforded Hunter Biden the opportunity to plead guilty for not paying taxes on over $1.5 million in income in 2017 and 2018 and receive probation rather than jail time. In addition, Weiss devised a separate diversion agreement that gave Hunter Biden immunity from potential future charges, including a provision to essentially wipe a felony gun violation from his record.

White House aides “intentionally” did not schedule much on the president’s calendar that day so he could “monitor” his son’s hearing, the Post reported.

“The president made no public appearances that day, and aides privately expressed relief that Biden’s schedule was kept open because the plea deal collapsed, prolonging Hunter’s legal issues,” the Post reported. “There was particular concern in the West Wing that day because first lady Jill Biden was traveling out of the country, leaving the president without his primary source of support.”

After the plea deal collapsed, Hunter Biden did not immediately return to the White House, where he had stayed for two weeks not long before the hearing.

“Most [aides] were unaware that he and his family were staying in the White House for two weeks this summer,” the Post reported.

A New York City man stood on a street Wednesday with a needle dangling from his arm as the drug crisis plagues citizens.

The man stood without moving on West 37th Street late Wednesday morning with the needle in his arm as people apparently walked by him, the New York Post reported Saturday.

One person who commented on the Post‘s story said, “Bidens America” while another replied, “Thanks, DEMOCRATS I mean Marxists.”

More addicts were also seen outside a nearby health center which the nonprofit group, Housing Works, manages.

The Post also noted the organization offers addicts clean syringes to help with “harm reduction.”

The outlet continued:

Pamela Flamini, a 45-year-old cashier at the Italian restaurant Non Solo Piada, located across the street from the Housing Works center, ripped the nonprofit and the city’s open, growing embrace of harm reduction policies and services as the reason why her workplace is burglarized multiple times a week.

“All drug addicts, they come here, [make a] long line in the morning,” Flamini said, adding that drug dealers also lurk in the area like vultures, and have threatened her.

Since 2018, the Housing Works group brought in approximately $80 million in taxpayer funding, the outlet stated.

The Post also said the New York City Police Department previously “told cops to give junkies the go-ahead to shoot up after Albany decriminalized the possession and sale of needles.”

In November 2021, New York City sanctioned its first “shooting galleries” for drug addicts in the nation, then-mayor Bill de Blasio (D) informed residents, according to Breitbart News.

“A plan by De Blasio to open four locations in the city was previously opposed by former President Donald Trump and disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D),” the report said.

In May, one of Mayor Eric Adams’ (D) migrant hotels located in Manhattan became an even more troubling situation as border crossers and illegal aliens staying there at no charge were accused of doing drugs and drinking, per Breitbart News.

Democrat-run Philadelphia has also been grappling with the scourge of addiction as those using the drug calleld “tranq” have flooded the Kensington area.

President Joe Biden’s Cuban-born border chief is accelerating his transfer of poor Cuban migrants into Americans’ society and the U.S. economy.

“Cubans, like my own family, who nearly 63 years ago fled the communist takeover, deserve the same opportunity to follow legal pathways to build a new life in the United States,” said a statement from border chief Alejandro Mayorkas.

The statement announced the opening of a “Field Office” in Havana to help migrants get into the United States via chain migration paperwork, family reunification claims, refugee status, and supposedly “lawful … pathways.”

Mayorkas is a pro-migration zealot, and has frequently argued that “equity” forbids Americans from excluding foreigners who want to live in the United States. He is pushing that open-borders policy despite the established, legitimate, and popular immigration laws that protect ordinary Americans from investors’ use of wage-cutting foreign labor.

Since 2020, more than 350,000 young Cubans have already moved into the United States, often via Nicaragua and Mexico. The new office will help import another 20,000 migrants per year — including many older Cubans who will rely on government-funded healthcare programs and housing that are also needed by Americans.

The pipeline also will help older Cubans jump the waiting line in the chain migration process. Mayorkas has recently established a policy to admit favored groups before they receive one of the limited number of green cards allowed by Congress.

The administration wants to expand global migrant inflows through many pathways, said Nayla Rush, an expert at the Center for Immigration Studies:

Their [ideological] thinking is to expand legal pathways … increasing the numbers and the ways, whether it’s through education, whether it’s parole, humanitarian or refugee, work authorizations … You know, migration to them is a right for people who want to have a better life … They have been consistent, they’re not lying. They are saying they’re expanding, making things easier, doing the process online, aster, hiring people, opening offices.

On August 10, for example, Mayorkas asked Congress. for $3.3 billion to move more wage-cutting economic migrants into Americans’ workplaces and neighborhoods. Breitbart News reported:

Up to $800 million is intended to fund new migrant pathways from Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Ecuador into U.S. communities. These “Safe Mobility Offices” are intended to offer a safer and cheaper route for African, European, and Asian economic migrants who are seeking to break into the United States.

Biden has already imported at least six million migrants for economic purposes in less than three years. That strategy has helped investors by inflating real estate prices and reducing Americans’ wages.

Biden’s huge inflow includes roughly two million legal migrants, 3.5 million illegal and quasi-legal migrants allowed through the southern border, roughly 1.6 million “gotaways” who sneaked over the border, plus hundreds of thousands of migrants who have refused to go home when their legal visas expire.

Biden’s massive inflow has enriched the drug cartels and encouraged them to expand their indentured labor business to people from South America and overseas. For example, the cartels have recently expanded into the migrant pathways in Panama and Columbia that were built up by Mayorkas.

The Mayorkas policy is also aiding dictatorships in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela by allowing their migrants to work in U.S. jobs and to send some of that money — as remittances — back to their homelands.

Extraction Migration

The federal government has long operated an unpopular economic policy of Extraction Migration. This colonialism-like policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries, reduces beneficial trade, and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.

Few GOP legislators — and fewer Democrats — fight against the resulting displacement of Americans as employers preferentially hire indebted, desperate, and compliant migrants.

The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.

The lethal policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.

The population inflow also reduces the political clout of native-born Americans, because the population replacement allows elites and the establishment to divorce themselves from the needs and interests of ordinary Americans.

In many speeches, border chief Alejandro Mayorkas says he is building a mass migration system to deliver workers to wealthy employers and investors and “equity” to poor foreigners. The nation’s border laws are subordinate to an elite opinion about “the values of our country” Mayorkas claims.

Migration — and especially, labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR). The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.

Border Numbers Explode as July Migrant Apprehensions Jump 33 Percent

The apprehension of migrants along the southwest border in July jumped more than 33 percent from last month’s drop. Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 137,000 migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry. This brought the total for the year to 1.65 million migrants.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection released its July Southwest Land Border Encounters report showing a dramatic spike in apprehensions by agents between ports of entry. In July, Border Patrol agents apprehended 136,652 migrants in the nine southwest border sectors.

In June, migrant apprehensions dropped briefly to less than 100,000 for the first time since the first full month of the Biden administration. The numbers bounced right back despite the scorching July heat along the southwestern U.S. border with Mexico. July’s numbers represent a 33 percent increase over June.

The trend is continuing into August. Through the first 15 days of August, Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 83,000 migrants, according to unofficial Border Patrol reports obtained by Breitbart. Approximately 50,000 of those entered through the five Texas-based border sectors, Breitbart Texas reported.

The El Paso and Tucson Sectors remain the only southwest border sectors showing a year-over-year increase in apprehensions — 59 and 29 percent, respectively.

Of the 132,652 migrants apprehended in July, 62,446 were classified as single adults. Family units accounted for 60,161 of the apprehensions, up by more than 40 percent from last year. Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 10,000 unaccompanied minors in July.

Migrants from Mexico accounted for the largest demographic group with more than 36,000 apprehensions. Hondurans and Guatemalans followed with more than 23,000 and 21,000, respectively. Migrants from countries other than Mexico and the Central American Northern Triangle countries accounted for more than 49,000 apprehensions. This is up by more than 36 percent over last July.

Biden's Criminal Enterprise

In creating a free and open system, the framers of the Constitution recognized that corrupting influence from foreign powers was a real threat. They were particularly concerned about a corruptible American president. In his famous Farewell Address of 1796,  George Washington issued a stern warning against the poisonous influence of foreign governments on the affairs of the new United States of America. He said, "Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence... the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government."

The Founders were idealists but also realists, and they recognized that people’s private ambitions and thirst for power or money were powerful motivators. They understood that the human condition was flawed, and that goodness of human nature could not be relied upon. So, they set up a system of checks and balances of power in the three branches of the legislative, the executive and the judiciary, and in a federal system of divided power between  states and the federal government. They understood it was necessary to create these competing and redundant structures to guard against abuse of power and corruption. But they went even further.

The Constitution created two other safeguards against corruption in the impeachment powers of Article II, Section 4 and in the emoluments clause in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. The latter prohibits any person holding a government office from accepting any present, emolument, office, or title from any foreign state without congressional consent. With these safeguards, the Founders believed they had created a governmental system better than any prior to forestall domestic public vice and the corruption that would come from foreign influence. Still, Washington’s Farewell Address of 1797 framed the issue in ways that are as relevant today as they were 227 years ago, when he wrote:

The nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave… to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest. Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to offer insult and injury… So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification.

The standard for impeachment as expressed in the Constitution is conviction of Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

President Joe Biden’s questionable activities go back to his first year as Vice President in 2009 and continued  throughout his eight years serving in the two-term Obama administration, punctuated with son Hunter being paid $1 million a year as a board member of  the Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2014. That role continued for more than four years, with a large $10 million dollar payoff from Burisma coming to Hunter and Joe Biden after the latter blackmailed Ukraine by threatening the withholding of $1 billion in U.S. aid unless  prosecutor general Victor Shokin was fired from the corruption investigation of Burisma in March of 2016 -- an investigation that would have exposed fraud, including questionable payments to Hunter Biden.  FBI documents refer to the two $5 million payments to Hunter and Joe Biden as a 'bribe' paid by Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

The case for impeaching President Joe Biden goes beyond bribery and emolument high crimes related to Ukraine. In 2014, Hunter Biden introduced his father, then Vice President, to Kazakhstan oligarch Kenes Rakishev at a dinner. Records and testimony obtained by James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee show that at that time of introducing  Rakishev to Vice President Biden, Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer were working on a deal involving Burisma, on whose board they both served, and a Chinese company that would have been based in Kazakhstan. To facilitate the deal and his relationship with Archer and the Bidens, Rakishev wired $142,300 to Rosemont Seneca -- a shell company created by Devon and Hunter -- the exact amount needed to fund Hunter's sportscar purchase the next day.

Another mysterious payment to the Bidens came during that same year. Shortly after Joe Biden was introduced to Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina at a dinner meeting in February 2014,  $3.5 million was wired to Rosemont Seneca by Baturina.  

These kinds of payments to the Bidens coming from oligarchs from Ukraine and other countries are way beyond a level where impeachment and removal from office is justified. Also, the means of transferring and distributing funds follows the pattern of international criminal enterprises. The Bidens were involved with the creation of  some twenty shell companies for the purpose of concealing money transfers from foreign nationals and then distributing those transferred funds to as many as nine different Biden family members.

As egregious as all these payments and shell game money transfers were, the scope and scale of Biden deal activities in China crosses a new threshold requiring urgent correction.

China engages in unrestricted warfare against the United States, something that the Founders could hardly fathom. Blackmail was not then a term in wide usage, having first been coined in Scotland in the 17th century. Today blackmail is one of the chief tools in China’s massive elite capture program in the United States, giving them control over many in government in the United States -- with the top elite family in the U.S. being Joe Biden’s family. Preliminary records assembled in 2021 and 2022 by investigative journalists without subpoena power or access to bank records show that the Chinese elite have paid some $31 million to the Biden family. For the Chinese, these payments were and are about control and blackmail, which may explain why Biden more than any other U.S. president has pursued policies that have weakened the United States and helped China.

Bring on impeachment and let the hearings on the Bidens’ involvement in China begin.

Joe Biden’s Race Against the Truth

Joe Biden has about 17 months left as an elected politician—if he is lucky. That projection guides most of the inexplicable and shameless behavior of the Department of Justice and Biden himself. View Biden as in a race against the truth. Will he be physically and mentally able to complete his term and head to retirement before his decades-long crimes of corruption catch up to him?

Joe Biden’s serial yarn that he never knew anything about his son Hunter’s quid pro quo grifting with rich foreign grandees has been finally exposed as the old lie it always was.

Biden’s fallback untruth—that he never got involved in Hunter’s business—proved instantly laughable, given prior damning testimonies from Hunter’s business associates, from IRS whistleblowers, from the assertions of foreign beneficiaries, from Hunter’s own laptop, and from Joe’s own earlier loudmouth braggadocio about using threats of canceling U.S. foreign aid to fire a Ukrainian prosecutor looking into corruption of the sort in which his own son was knee deep. (Did not then president Barack Obama know the nature of Biden corruption when he appointed him as point man on Ukraine)?

To his partners in corruption, Hunter referred to his father variously as the “big guy” as well as the recipient of “ten percent” of the leveraged income. And apparently as a rather greedy pop, Hunter whined that Joe himself demanded half of all Hunter’s own shake-down income from abroad—despite Hunter’s payment of many of Joe’s monthly bills incurred on his palatial lakeshore mansion.

At some point, even the corrupt leftwing media and DNC cannot continue to laugh off eyewitness testimonies, whistleblowers’ revelations, bank records, Hunter Biden’s own computer messaging, Joe Biden’s phone calls and personal appearances, and the evidence from foreign beneficiaries.

And then there is simply the power of reason and logic.

Over the last five years of this hushed-up tawdry saga, Americans knew immediately that Joe Biden was lying in all his denials of any involvement whatsoever in the procurement of a large part of his income from abroad simply because no one in the entire Biden family had any business, investment, or energy expertise. In other words, as grifters without Joe, the Bidens had zero market value.

As energy consultants, financial investors, or international analysts, they had no qualifications—a fact known and remarked upon by their corrupt foreign partners. If any doubt about that, try to guess how much the prior cash recipients Jim or Hunter or Sarah or Hallie or Kathleen Biden will be getting from foreign concerns for services rendered after Joe leaves office.

The Biden familial mediocrities had nothing to offer shady wealthy foreign interests other than they were not only related to the Vice President of the United States, but also could guarantee that Joe Biden had no scruples whatsoever, and so even while in office he would call or meet his son’s associates to substantiate Hunter’s promises of favorable diplomatic or business treatment from the Obama—or a future Biden—administration. Note Biden seemed to have no worries whether his family’s lobbying of Ukraine, Russia, or China was in conflict with the interests of his own country.

And so deals were cut, millions were rerouted to Biden accounts to avoid scrutiny, and the Biden clan got rich off Joe’s offices and his son’s rank criminality. Joe’s adjusted gross income on his 2016 return of $396,456 soared on his 2017 return to more than $11 million. No one knows whether these or any of Biden’s returns showed reported income commensurate with what either he actually received or with his lavish lifestyle, bank accounts, and his multiple expensive homes.

Rarely has any prosecutor enjoyed a more riveting confessional than Hunter Biden’s own laptop that established his credentials as a drug addict who burned up millions of dollars on his various drug and sex addictions, while confirming that his own father was central to the family consortium’s shake-downs. Without an obsequious media, a Democratic Senate, and a weaponized Department of Justice, all the Biden recipients of foreign cash would by now have been prosecuted, and likely found guilty of an array of felonies.

But like everything Joe and Hunter do to excess, they were not just shameless in their raking in money by using Joe’s senatorial and then vice presidential offices and likely presidential candidacy, but in covering up their crimes.

Nothing is more emblematic of that brazenness than Biden aide and future Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s phone call to a former CIA interim director to round up 50 intelligence “authorities” to lie on the eve of the 2020 debate and election that the laptop was likely “Russian disinformation.” To go to such extremes to leverage proverbially retired “wise men” to so blatantly misinform, disinform and warp a presidential election reflects the paranoia of the Biden family over Hunter’s laptop confessional.

Enter Merrick Garland. Like Blinken, his job description entailed hiding the truth about Hunter Biden’s incriminating evidence. First, Garland had assured the nation that no special counsel was needed to investigate the Bidens’ influence peddling. And on spec his lieutenant Delaware prosecutor David Weiss slow walked for years all investigations of Biden family wrongdoing.

The Biden Department of Justice since January 2021 assumed that with a Democratic House and an obsequious media, it could simply run out the clock on any of the many Biden crimes that were not sufficiently covered up. Any problematic data or testimony that eventually entered the public domain, would do so only after the statute of limitations had expired. This cover-up continued to work well for the first two years of the Biden administration.

But then the unexpected happened. First, the Republicans took the House in 2022 and suddenly had the ability to subpoena witnesses and documents over the objections of the media and Democratic congressional toadies.

Second, the Ukraine war broke out and had refocused popular interest in the past Biden-Ukrainian profiteering.

Third, when Donald Trump announced his reelection candidacy, he was soon met with a cohort of weaponized leftwing prosecutors. Immediately he and his supporters legitimately pointed out that while he was being politically neutered by the left, his possible 2024 opponent Joe Biden was given de facto exemptions.

Finally, the congressional testimonies and whistleblowers grew so embarrassing, and the stark contrast between the government coverup of Biden crimes and the weaponized effort to destroy Trump so glaring, that even Biden’s handlers and Merrick Garland were forced to act—at least sort of.

So last week the DOJ flipped. It abruptly announced that after years of a deliberately stalled David Weiss investigation and the collapse of Weiss’s own phony plea deal before an honest judge, Garland would now appoint a special counsel, after all—again, sort of.

Garland then did something so outrageous that it eclipsed even his prior blatant politicalization of his department. First, he violated the special counsel statute by hiring an inside government attorney—another apparent confirmation that Garland and Biden were paranoid that any legitimate outside counsel might well tap into a gold mine of Biden family felonies.

Second, he selected as independent counsel none other than David Weiss, the very prosecutor who had tried but failed to fool a judge into accepting a laughable Hunter Biden plea deal. Weiss’s only other alluring recommendation was that he had previously spearheaded and slow walked the DOJ non-investigation of Hunter.

Third, by elevating the title—but not the mission—of Weiss in a manner that previously he promised he would not, Garland cleverly ensured that Weiss would likely not show up  to testify before the House about prior and ongoing whistleblower allegations that prosecutor Weiss had blocked investigations concerning Hunter that otherwise might well have led to multiple felony indictments. Now as special counsel, Weiss will even likely refuse congressional subpoenas concerning incriminating Biden information on grounds they would prejudice or interfere with his own special counsel inquiries.

How could Garland believe he could fool the American people with the veneer of a special counsel appointee and then violate the very spirit and text of the law about such appointments by naming Weiss?

Reason is not what guides the petulant Garland, who has never recovered from the trauma of being humiliated when his Barack Obama lame-duck supreme court appointment was recessed by a Republican Senate. Instead, Biden rescued Garland from bitter obscurity with the implied rationale, as Joe himself has mused openly to friends, that Garland should go after Trump, Biden’s past nemesis, and now his leading opponent in the 2024 presidential race.

What then is the long-term Democrat strategy that requires such short-term malodorous skullduggery?

Biden must be healthy and crime-free enough to finish his remaining term, but at all costs not run for reelection. A full one-term Biden prevents a 2023 or 2024 presidency of an utterly incompetent Kamala Harris and thus in addition her route to the 2024 Democratic nomination—and in theory perhaps even a longer presidential tenure.

Democrats will have enough trouble keeping Biden semi-coherent and upright over the 17 months without a string of indictments involving high crimes and misdemeanors from bribery to treason, if indeed Biden did alter U.S. policy at the bequest of his paymasters in China, Russia, Ukraine or Romania.

In other words, Weiss was selected for his past loyal suppression of the Hunter investigation and his future further quashing indictments as special counsel. That fact almost ensures that Biden can finish his first term without an impeachment trial in the Senate or a forced Nixon-style resignation, given the enormity of his own illegality.

Ensuring the viability of Biden’s next year-and-half will mean Kamala Harris does not inherit the presidency from either a physically or mentally incompetent Biden—or a president so reduced by bribery and racketeering counts that he is forced to resign.

Biden then will likely not run for reelection, pleading age rather than his own and family’s blatant corruption. That will be another subtext for Weiss’s slothful investigation to be ground down into oblivion. Harris will not be president, and be reduced to just another wannabe 2024 primary candidate. She will likely, as in 2016, not win a single delegate.

By 2024, Democrats will be seeking a young Gavin Newson-like candidate. Harris will not be the nominee, much less President by default. And Joe will likely be so bewildered that Weiss in a few months “for the sake of the country” will not hound either an enfeebled ex-president or his dutiful son.

DOJ lawfare then works in two ways: by commission in neutering the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump after trying to ensure that he will win the Republican primary and nomination; by omission, in de facto suppressing momentum for Biden indictments and thus allowing the Biden family to be prison-free through 2024 and onto retirement—and thus sparing the nation a Harris presidency.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) demanded Thursday that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) hand over all documents and communications in which then-Vice President Joe Biden used pseudonyms such as “Robert Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware.”

Comer listed the pseudonyms in a letter to NARA in which he demanded access to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s documents and communications regarding official duties that overlapped with his son’s activities in Ukraine.

One email, which Comer says the committee has already seen, includes an attachment with the vice president’s schedule, indicating that he had spoken by phone to then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The email was sent to a “Robert L. Peters” and cc’ed to the vice president’s son, Hunter Biden.

Joe Biden was the designated foreign policy point person to Ukraine during the Obama administration. The House Oversight Committee argues that Joe Biden threatened to withhold U.S. aid to Ukraine in 2015 until the president of Ukraine fired prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who had jurisdiction for an investigation into the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.

Burisma paid Hunter Biden $83,000 a month for a board position to obtain the Biden “brand,” as Biden business associate Devon Archer described the arrangement.

Years later, in 2018, Joe Biden bragged about the firing of Shokin, which he pushed for during an official visit to Ukraine in 2015.

“I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’ I said, ‘you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours,’” Biden told the audience. “I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”

On Tuesday, Comer issued a request to NARA for all unredacted materials in which then-Vice President Joe Biden used a pseudonym related to his relationship with Ukraine. Comer explained he specifically seeks an email titled, “Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine.” Comer said the email, attached with a document, was sent to “Robert L. Peters”— a pseudonym for Joe Biden:

The Committee seeks unrestricted special access under the PRA to Case Number 2023- 0022-F, entitled “Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine,” which has been published on NARA’s website. These records have been redacted for public release pursuant to the PRA and FOIA. For example, an email bearing the subject “Friday Schedule Card,” is withheld in part under a “P6” and “b(6)” restrictions, denoting personal information regarding the subject under the PRA and FOIA respectively.

Attached to this email, and made available on the NARA website, is a document that indicates at 9:00 a.m. on May 27, 2016, Vice President Biden took a call with the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. It is concerning to the Committee, however, that this document was sent to “Robert L. Peters”—a pseudonym the Committee has identified as then Vice President Biden. Additionally, the Committee questions why the then-Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden—and only Hunter Biden—was copied on this email to then-Vice President Biden.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer wrote in a statement. “The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.”

“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates,” he continued. “We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest.”

Comer gave NARA until August 31, 2023, to respond with the material.

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) laid out a scenario in which President Joe Biden would be guilty of bribery.

He said if that were the case, he should not only be impeached but prosecuted and sent to prison if found guilty.

Partial transcript as follows:

Legally, I see every single day the evidence is growing and growing and growing, and we’re also seeing — you just played a minute ago, Jake Tapper and Elizabeth Warren, neither the corporate media nor any congressional Democrat cares at all whether the president of the United States received millions of dollars of bribes from foreign nationals.

Even that little exchange there where Jake Tapper asked, well, gosh, you know, it was sort of influence peddling, and isn’t that bothersome? No, those are not the allegations, Jake. You’re a journalist, or you’re supposed to be. The allegations are bribery, that it wasn’t just Hunter selling access. It was Hunter selling official favors from his father Joe Biden.

Let’s go to what that FD-1023 specifically says the FBI form, a confidential human source that had been reliable previously to the FBI came forward and said that the oligarch who owns Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden in exchange for Joe Biden’s help getting rid of the prosecutor that was investigating Burisma and investigating that oligarch.

Now, what is bribery? The essence of a bribery is a quid pro quo. We remember from the first Trump impeachment. The media, Jake knows what a quid pro quo is. He talked about it incessantly when it concerned Donald Trump.

Quid pro quo is Latin for this, for that. Bribery is paying someone something of value in an exchange for an official favor. Now, the quo we know happened because as you noted, Joe Biden has confessed to it in a video interview where he said he went to Ukraine. He held hostage a billion dollars in U.S. loan guarantees and demanded that the Ukrainian government fire the prosecutor that is investigating Burisma and investigating the oligarch.

We know the quo happened. The only question was, did the quid happen? Did they pay $10 million for him to do so? If so, Joe Biden is guilty of bribery. Hunter is guilty of selling bribes, selling official favors from his father. And if that is the case, Joe Biden should be impeached. He should be removed from office. He should be prosecuted, and he should go to prison, and he should share a cell with Hunter for corrupting the government of the United States

Sleepy Joe jets to billionaire donor’s home for vacation and the media didn’t see nuthin’

The media and other Democrats have been seeking to destroy Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito for alleged “ethics” or violations, but in reality, they just don’t want the justices to stay in their lane.

The media and other Democrats can’t stand for a Supreme Court that recognizes that there are three branches of government which all have very specific and distinct responsibilities.

They are extremely mad that there are currently five members of the Supreme Court that recognized that a previous Supreme Court had erred when it legislated from the bench and legalized nationwide abortion; they simply recognized abortion was not a Constitutional right, and moved the decision back to the legislative bodies in the states where it belongs.

They are also mad that there are six justices that recognize that it is Congress that is supposed to make laws instead of unelected bureaucrats.

Democrat Senators and Representatives want unelected bureaucrats at the EPA, Department of Energy, Education, the Interior, and elsewhere to be able to force their leftist agenda on the public instead of having their fingerprints on these dictatorial rulings, so they seek to destroy justices like Alito and Thomas for taking trips with rich people. As far as I can tell, they have not made decisions based on with whom they travel, but that doesn’t matter to the media.

It is no different than the multiple ways that they have sought to destroy Trump over the years because of his policies to give the power, purse, and freedom back to the people as fast as he could. That is unacceptable to the media and other Democrats who want big government to destroy our lives.

The Democrats claim they are targeting Thomas and Alito because ethics are so important to them, but we know that isn’t true, because they are completely silent about Joe Biden.

Not once have I heard Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, or other Democrat leaders talk about Joe Biden’s (lack of) ethics no matter what he does. Why are there no complaints about his trips to a billionaire’s house, or all his meetings with people who got kickbacks for Hunter and the family?

Sadly, most of the media doesn’t care either. From RedState:

Biden has stayed at the homes of billionaires and the wealthy in the past and has not paid for some of those stays. He’s stayed the past two Thanksgivings at the home of private-equity billionaire David Rubenstein. He’s also vacationed at the home of donor Maria Allwin (whose family runs a hedge fund) last August on Kiawah Island, S.C., and he reportedly didn't pay for that. He and the extended family also stayed at the beachfront St. Croix home of Bill and Connie Neville for free in December and January, while a lot of the country was enduring the ‘bomb cyclone’ cold weather.

Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders complain about the rich not paying their “fair share” so where are their demands for all these rich people to show their tax returns and financial documents reporting these lavish gifts to the Bidens?

Where is their outrage that Hunter got caught committing fraud to intentionally underpay his taxes? Why aren’t they demanding that Hunter file gift tax forms for paying Joe’s bills?

The answer is that Democrats don’t care about ethics; they only care about power, and they will seek to destroy anyone who gets in their way, whether it is a black man named Thomas or an orange man named Trump.

Report: Joe Biden Ignores Most Aides with Ideas About Hunter’s Legal Woes

President Joe Biden reportedly ignores most White House aides when they try to share “contributions” or “ideas” about how to handle Hunter Biden’s legal position, according to a report.

Although a Delaware court dismissed the tax and gun plea deal Thursday against the president’s son, it was only a formality. Special Counsel David Weiss, appointed last week, intends to take his case to trial.

“Inside the White House, most aides strenuously avoid discussing Hunter’s troubles with the president, believing their contributions and ideas would not be welcome,” the Washington Post reported Thursday based on comments from half a dozen current and former administration officials. “[O]nly a small group of longtime trusted aides are engaged in conversations about how to handle family matters.”

Joe Biden, who is reportedly “consumed” with his son Hunter’s scandals, allegedly angrily dismisses White House aides who believe Hunter Biden’s controversial history might politically hurt his father, NBC News reported in June.

“Hands off my family,” Joe Biden reportedly told one aide.

“This is the reality of their family ethos,” a person close to the president allegedly said.

The plea deal broke down last month upon scrutiny from the judge. The agreement afforded Hunter Biden the opportunity to plead guilty for not paying taxes on over $1.5 million in income in 2017 and 2018 and receive probation rather than jail time. In addition, Weiss devised a separate diversion agreement that gave Hunter Biden immunity from potential future charges, including a provision to essentially wipe a felony gun violation from his record.

White House aides “intentionally” did not schedule much on the president’s calendar that day so he could “monitor” his son’s hearing, the Post reported.

“The president made no public appearances that day, and aides privately expressed relief that Biden’s schedule was kept open because the plea deal collapsed, prolonging Hunter’s legal issues,” the Post reported. “There was particular concern in the West Wing that day because first lady Jill Biden was traveling out of the country, leaving the president without his primary source of support.”

After the plea deal collapsed, Hunter Biden did not immediately return to the White House, where he had stayed for two weeks not long before the hearing.

“Most [aides] were unaware that he and his family were staying in the White House for two weeks this summer,” the Post reported.

Biden's Criminal Enterprise

In creating a free and open system, the framers of the Constitution recognized that corrupting influence from foreign powers was a real threat. They were particularly concerned about a corruptible American president. In his famous Farewell Address of 1796,  George Washington issued a stern warning against the poisonous influence of foreign governments on the affairs of the new United States of America. He said, "Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence... the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government."

The Founders were idealists but also realists, and they recognized that people’s private ambitions and thirst for power or money were powerful motivators. They understood that the human condition was flawed, and that goodness of human nature could not be relied upon. So, they set up a system of checks and balances of power in the three branches of the legislative, the executive and the judiciary, and in a federal system of divided power between  states and the federal government. They understood it was necessary to create these competing and redundant structures to guard against abuse of power and corruption. But they went even further.

The Constitution created two other safeguards against corruption in the impeachment powers of Article II, Section 4 and in the emoluments clause in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the U.S. Constitution. The latter prohibits any person holding a government office from accepting any present, emolument, office, or title from any foreign state without congressional consent. With these safeguards, the Founders believed they had created a governmental system better than any prior to forestall domestic public vice and the corruption that would come from foreign influence. Still, Washington’s Farewell Address of 1797 framed the issue in ways that are as relevant today as they were 227 years ago, when he wrote:

The nation which indulges toward another an habitual hatred or an habitual fondness is in some degree a slave… to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest. Antipathy in one nation against another disposes each more readily to offer insult and injury… So, likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification.

The standard for impeachment as expressed in the Constitution is conviction of Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

President Joe Biden’s questionable activities go back to his first year as Vice President in 2009 and continued  throughout his eight years serving in the two-term Obama administration, punctuated with son Hunter being paid $1 million a year as a board member of  the Ukrainian energy company Burisma in 2014. That role continued for more than four years, with a large $10 million dollar payoff from Burisma coming to Hunter and Joe Biden after the latter blackmailed Ukraine by threatening the withholding of $1 billion in U.S. aid unless  prosecutor general Victor Shokin was fired from the corruption investigation of Burisma in March of 2016 -- an investigation that would have exposed fraud, including questionable payments to Hunter Biden.  FBI documents refer to the two $5 million payments to Hunter and Joe Biden as a 'bribe' paid by Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky.

The case for impeaching President Joe Biden goes beyond bribery and emolument high crimes related to Ukraine. In 2014, Hunter Biden introduced his father, then Vice President, to Kazakhstan oligarch Kenes Rakishev at a dinner. Records and testimony obtained by James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee show that at that time of introducing  Rakishev to Vice President Biden, Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer were working on a deal involving Burisma, on whose board they both served, and a Chinese company that would have been based in Kazakhstan. To facilitate the deal and his relationship with Archer and the Bidens, Rakishev wired $142,300 to Rosemont Seneca -- a shell company created by Devon and Hunter -- the exact amount needed to fund Hunter's sportscar purchase the next day.

Another mysterious payment to the Bidens came during that same year. Shortly after Joe Biden was introduced to Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina at a dinner meeting in February 2014,  $3.5 million was wired to Rosemont Seneca by Baturina.  

These kinds of payments to the Bidens coming from oligarchs from Ukraine and other countries are way beyond a level where impeachment and removal from office is justified. Also, the means of transferring and distributing funds follows the pattern of international criminal enterprises. The Bidens were involved with the creation of  some twenty shell companies for the purpose of concealing money transfers from foreign nationals and then distributing those transferred funds to as many as nine different Biden family members.

As egregious as all these payments and shell game money transfers were, the scope and scale of Biden deal activities in China crosses a new threshold requiring urgent correction.

China engages in unrestricted warfare against the United States, something that the Founders could hardly fathom. Blackmail was not then a term in wide usage, having first been coined in Scotland in the 17th century. Today blackmail is one of the chief tools in China’s massive elite capture program in the United States, giving them control over many in government in the United States -- with the top elite family in the U.S. being Joe Biden’s family. Preliminary records assembled in 2021 and 2022 by investigative journalists without subpoena power or access to bank records show that the Chinese elite have paid some $31 million to the Biden family. For the Chinese, these payments were and are about control and blackmail, which may explain why Biden more than any other U.S. president has pursued policies that have weakened the United States and helped China.

Bring on impeachment and let the hearings on the Bidens’ involvement in China begin.

Joe Biden has about 17 months left as an elected politician—if he is lucky. That projection guides most of the inexplicable and shameless behavior of the Department of Justice and Biden himself. View Biden as in a race against the truth. Will he be physically and mentally able to complete his term and head to retirement before his decades-long crimes of corruption catch up to him?

Joe Biden’s serial yarn that he never knew anything about his son Hunter’s quid pro quo grifting with rich foreign grandees has been finally exposed as the old lie it always was.

Biden’s fallback untruth—that he never got involved in Hunter’s business—proved instantly laughable, given prior damning testimonies from Hunter’s business associates, from IRS whistleblowers, from the assertions of foreign beneficiaries, from Hunter’s own laptop, and from Joe’s own earlier loudmouth braggadocio about using threats of canceling U.S. foreign aid to fire a Ukrainian prosecutor looking into corruption of the sort in which his own son was knee deep. (Did not then president Barack Obama know the nature of Biden corruption when he appointed him as point man on Ukraine)?

To his partners in corruption, Hunter referred to his father variously as the “big guy” as well as the recipient of “ten percent” of the leveraged income. And apparently as a rather greedy pop, Hunter whined that Joe himself demanded half of all Hunter’s own shake-down income from abroad—despite Hunter’s payment of many of Joe’s monthly bills incurred on his palatial lakeshore mansion.

At some point, even the corrupt leftwing media and DNC cannot continue to laugh off eyewitness testimonies, whistleblowers’ revelations, bank records, Hunter Biden’s own computer messaging, Joe Biden’s phone calls and personal appearances, and the evidence from foreign beneficiaries.

And then there is simply the power of reason and logic.

Over the last five years of this hushed-up tawdry saga, Americans knew immediately that Joe Biden was lying in all his denials of any involvement whatsoever in the procurement of a large part of his income from abroad simply because no one in the entire Biden family had any business, investment, or energy expertise. In other words, as grifters without Joe, the Bidens had zero market value.

As energy consultants, financial investors, or international analysts, they had no qualifications—a fact known and remarked upon by their corrupt foreign partners. If any doubt about that, try to guess how much the prior cash recipients Jim or Hunter or Sarah or Hallie or Kathleen Biden will be getting from foreign concerns for services rendered after Joe leaves office.

The Biden familial mediocrities had nothing to offer shady wealthy foreign interests other than they were not only related to the Vice President of the United States, but also could guarantee that Joe Biden had no scruples whatsoever, and so even while in office he would call or meet his son’s associates to substantiate Hunter’s promises of favorable diplomatic or business treatment from the Obama—or a future Biden—administration. Note Biden seemed to have no worries whether his family’s lobbying of Ukraine, Russia, or China was in conflict with the interests of his own country.

And so deals were cut, millions were rerouted to Biden accounts to avoid scrutiny, and the Biden clan got rich off Joe’s offices and his son’s rank criminality. Joe’s adjusted gross income on his 2016 return of $396,456 soared on his 2017 return to more than $11 million. No one knows whether these or any of Biden’s returns showed reported income commensurate with what either he actually received or with his lavish lifestyle, bank accounts, and his multiple expensive homes.

Rarely has any prosecutor enjoyed a more riveting confessional than Hunter Biden’s own laptop that established his credentials as a drug addict who burned up millions of dollars on his various drug and sex addictions, while confirming that his own father was central to the family consortium’s shake-downs. Without an obsequious media, a Democratic Senate, and a weaponized Department of Justice, all the Biden recipients of foreign cash would by now have been prosecuted, and likely found guilty of an array of felonies.

But like everything Joe and Hunter do to excess, they were not just shameless in their raking in money by using Joe’s senatorial and then vice presidential offices and likely presidential candidacy, but in covering up their crimes.

Nothing is more emblematic of that brazenness than Biden aide and future Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s phone call to a former CIA interim director to round up 50 intelligence “authorities” to lie on the eve of the 2020 debate and election that the laptop was likely “Russian disinformation.” To go to such extremes to leverage proverbially retired “wise men” to so blatantly misinform, disinform and warp a presidential election reflects the paranoia of the Biden family over Hunter’s laptop confessional.

Enter Merrick Garland. Like Blinken, his job description entailed hiding the truth about Hunter Biden’s incriminating evidence. First, Garland had assured the nation that no special counsel was needed to investigate the Bidens’ influence peddling. And on spec his lieutenant Delaware prosecutor David Weiss slow walked for years all investigations of Biden family wrongdoing.

The Biden Department of Justice since January 2021 assumed that with a Democratic House and an obsequious media, it could simply run out the clock on any of the many Biden crimes that were not sufficiently covered up. Any problematic data or testimony that eventually entered the public domain, would do so only after the statute of limitations had expired. This cover-up continued to work well for the first two years of the Biden administration.

But then the unexpected happened. First, the Republicans took the House in 2022 and suddenly had the ability to subpoena witnesses and documents over the objections of the media and Democratic congressional toadies.

Second, the Ukraine war broke out and had refocused popular interest in the past Biden-Ukrainian profiteering.

Third, when Donald Trump announced his reelection candidacy, he was soon met with a cohort of weaponized leftwing prosecutors. Immediately he and his supporters legitimately pointed out that while he was being politically neutered by the left, his possible 2024 opponent Joe Biden was given de facto exemptions.

Finally, the congressional testimonies and whistleblowers grew so embarrassing, and the stark contrast between the government coverup of Biden crimes and the weaponized effort to destroy Trump so glaring, that even Biden’s handlers and Merrick Garland were forced to act—at least sort of.

So last week the DOJ flipped. It abruptly announced that after years of a deliberately stalled David Weiss investigation and the collapse of Weiss’s own phony plea deal before an honest judge, Garland would now appoint a special counsel, after all—again, sort of.

Garland then did something so outrageous that it eclipsed even his prior blatant politicalization of his department. First, he violated the special counsel statute by hiring an inside government attorney—another apparent confirmation that Garland and Biden were paranoid that any legitimate outside counsel might well tap into a gold mine of Biden family felonies.

Second, he selected as independent counsel none other than David Weiss, the very prosecutor who had tried but failed to fool a judge into accepting a laughable Hunter Biden plea deal. Weiss’s only other alluring recommendation was that he had previously spearheaded and slow walked the DOJ non-investigation of Hunter.

Third, by elevating the title—but not the mission—of Weiss in a manner that previously he promised he would not, Garland cleverly ensured that Weiss would likely not show up  to testify before the House about prior and ongoing whistleblower allegations that prosecutor Weiss had blocked investigations concerning Hunter that otherwise might well have led to multiple felony indictments. Now as special counsel, Weiss will even likely refuse congressional subpoenas concerning incriminating Biden information on grounds they would prejudice or interfere with his own special counsel inquiries.

How could Garland believe he could fool the American people with the veneer of a special counsel appointee and then violate the very spirit and text of the law about such appointments by naming Weiss?

Reason is not what guides the petulant Garland, who has never recovered from the trauma of being humiliated when his Barack Obama lame-duck supreme court appointment was recessed by a Republican Senate. Instead, Biden rescued Garland from bitter obscurity with the implied rationale, as Joe himself has mused openly to friends, that Garland should go after Trump, Biden’s past nemesis, and now his leading opponent in the 2024 presidential race.

What then is the long-term Democrat strategy that requires such short-term malodorous skullduggery?

Biden must be healthy and crime-free enough to finish his remaining term, but at all costs not run for reelection. A full one-term Biden prevents a 2023 or 2024 presidency of an utterly incompetent Kamala Harris and thus in addition her route to the 2024 Democratic nomination—and in theory perhaps even a longer presidential tenure.

Democrats will have enough trouble keeping Biden semi-coherent and upright over the 17 months without a string of indictments involving high crimes and misdemeanors from bribery to treason, if indeed Biden did alter U.S. policy at the bequest of his paymasters in China, Russia, Ukraine or Romania.

In other words, Weiss was selected for his past loyal suppression of the Hunter investigation and his future further quashing indictments as special counsel. That fact almost ensures that Biden can finish his first term without an impeachment trial in the Senate or a forced Nixon-style resignation, given the enormity of his own illegality.

Ensuring the viability of Biden’s next year-and-half will mean Kamala Harris does not inherit the presidency from either a physically or mentally incompetent Biden—or a president so reduced by bribery and racketeering counts that he is forced to resign.

Biden then will likely not run for reelection, pleading age rather than his own and family’s blatant corruption. That will be another subtext for Weiss’s slothful investigation to be ground down into oblivion. Harris will not be president, and be reduced to just another wannabe 2024 primary candidate. She will likely, as in 2016, not win a single delegate.

By 2024, Democrats will be seeking a young Gavin Newson-like candidate. Harris will not be the nominee, much less President by default. And Joe will likely be so bewildered that Weiss in a few months “for the sake of the country” will not hound either an enfeebled ex-president or his dutiful son.

DOJ lawfare then works in two ways: by commission in neutering the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump after trying to ensure that he will win the Republican primary and nomination; by omission, in de facto suppressing momentum for Biden indictments and thus allowing the Biden family to be prison-free through 2024 and onto retirement—and thus sparing the nation a Harris presidency.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) demanded Thursday that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) hand over all documents and communications in which then-Vice President Joe Biden used pseudonyms such as “Robert Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware.”

Comer listed the pseudonyms in a letter to NARA in which he demanded access to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s documents and communications regarding official duties that overlapped with his son’s activities in Ukraine.

One email, which Comer says the committee has already seen, includes an attachment with the vice president’s schedule, indicating that he had spoken by phone to then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The email was sent to a “Robert L. Peters” and cc’ed to the vice president’s son, Hunter Biden.

Joe Biden was the designated foreign policy point person to Ukraine during the Obama administration. The House Oversight Committee argues that Joe Biden threatened to withhold U.S. aid to Ukraine in 2015 until the president of Ukraine fired prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who had jurisdiction for an investigation into the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.

Burisma paid Hunter Biden $83,000 a month for a board position to obtain the Biden “brand,” as Biden business associate Devon Archer described the arrangement.

Years later, in 2018, Joe Biden bragged about the firing of Shokin, which he pushed for during an official visit to Ukraine in 2015.

“I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’ I said, ‘you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours,’” Biden told the audience. “I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. He got fired.”

On Tuesday, Comer issued a request to NARA for all unredacted materials in which then-Vice President Joe Biden used a pseudonym related to his relationship with Ukraine. Comer explained he specifically seeks an email titled, “Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine.” Comer said the email, attached with a document, was sent to “Robert L. Peters”— a pseudonym for Joe Biden:

The Committee seeks unrestricted special access under the PRA to Case Number 2023- 0022-F, entitled “Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine,” which has been published on NARA’s website. These records have been redacted for public release pursuant to the PRA and FOIA. For example, an email bearing the subject “Friday Schedule Card,” is withheld in part under a “P6” and “b(6)” restrictions, denoting personal information regarding the subject under the PRA and FOIA respectively.

Attached to this email, and made available on the NARA website, is a document that indicates at 9:00 a.m. on May 27, 2016, Vice President Biden took a call with the president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. It is concerning to the Committee, however, that this document was sent to “Robert L. Peters”—a pseudonym the Committee has identified as then Vice President Biden. Additionally, the Committee questions why the then-Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden—and only Hunter Biden—was copied on this email to then-Vice President Biden.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer wrote in a statement. “The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.”

“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates,” he continued. “We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest.”

Comer gave NARA until August 31, 2023, to respond with the material.

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) laid out a scenario in which President Joe Biden would be guilty of bribery.

He said if that were the case, he should not only be impeached but prosecuted and sent to prison if found guilty.

Partial transcript as follows:

Legally, I see every single day the evidence is growing and growing and growing, and we’re also seeing — you just played a minute ago, Jake Tapper and Elizabeth Warren, neither the corporate media nor any congressional Democrat cares at all whether the president of the United States received millions of dollars of bribes from foreign nationals.

Even that little exchange there where Jake Tapper asked, well, gosh, you know, it was sort of influence peddling, and isn’t that bothersome? No, those are not the allegations, Jake. You’re a journalist, or you’re supposed to be. The allegations are bribery, that it wasn’t just Hunter selling access. It was Hunter selling official favors from his father Joe Biden.

Let’s go to what that FD-1023 specifically says the FBI form, a confidential human source that had been reliable previously to the FBI came forward and said that the oligarch who owns Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden in exchange for Joe Biden’s help getting rid of the prosecutor that was investigating Burisma and investigating that oligarch.

Now, what is bribery? The essence of a bribery is a quid pro quo. We remember from the first Trump impeachment. The media, Jake knows what a quid pro quo is. He talked about it incessantly when it concerned Donald Trump.

Quid pro quo is Latin for this, for that. Bribery is paying someone something of value in an exchange for an official favor. Now, the quo we know happened because as you noted, Joe Biden has confessed to it in a video interview where he said he went to Ukraine. He held hostage a billion dollars in U.S. loan guarantees and demanded that the Ukrainian government fire the prosecutor that is investigating Burisma and investigating the oligarch.

We know the quo happened. The only question was, did the quid happen? Did they pay $10 million for him to do so? If so, Joe Biden is guilty of bribery. Hunter is guilty of selling bribes, selling official favors from his father. And if that is the case, Joe Biden should be impeached. He should be removed from office. He should be prosecuted, and he should go to prison, and he should share a cell with Hunter for corrupting the government of the United States

President Joe Biden is being slammed for his “disgraceful response” — being termed his “Katrina moment” — after appearing unconcerned by the rising death toll in Hawaii when he offered “no comment” when asked about the current catastrophe after reclining at a Delaware beach.

On Sunday evening, the president reportedly said he had “no comment” when asked about the rising death toll from the devastating Hawaii fires that have ravaged Maui since Tuesday.

“After a couple hours on the Rehoboth beach, @potus was asked about the rising death toll in Hawaii. ‘No comment,’ he said before heading home,” tweeted Bloomberg White House reporter Justin Sink along with a photo of Biden on the beach surrounded by several people in beach chairs.

In response, many took to social media to voice outrage over the president’s “appalling” response.

“Hawaii is part of the United States, right? How could the President of the United States not have a comment on the unfolding tragedy there?” asked Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX).

“We are [a] Nation in decline led by a sandcastle commander in chief who spends more time on applying sunblock than he does on the struggle facing millions of Americans,” he added.

“While Americans in Hawaii are missing loved ones and have lost their homes, Joe Biden vacations on the beach,” wrote Congressman Bob Good (R-VA). “Is this the famous ‘compassion’ the media has told us about?”

“Jill Biden in 2020: Epathy [sic] is on the ballot Joe Biden in 2023: ‘No Comment’ on Hawaii,” wrote Congresswoman Mayra Flores (R-TX).

“Joe Biden couldn’t be bothered to comment on the HORRIBLE tragedy in Hawaii. Too busy vacationing at the beach,” wrote Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX).

“The tragic truth is he’s not the one running the country. He has NO IDEA what’s going on,” he added. “We deserve MUCH BETTER!”

“Joe Biden: Send more billions to Ukraine! No comment for Maui. If you are in Maui and need help go to: https://disasterassistance.gov,” wrote Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

“Beachfront Biden doesn’t care about Real Americans,” tweeted the GOP House Judiciary account.

“Endless Billions for Ukraine, but not even a comment for Maui,” wrote Donald Trump Jr., along with an “#AmericaLast” hashtag.

“Instead of addressing the crisis in Hawaii, Joe Biden went on vacation… again,” tweeted the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) account.

“In Maui: 93 (& counting) Americans are dead. 1,000 are missing. One of the most beautiful places on earth has been reduced to cinders. In Delaware: @JoeBiden can’t be bothered to care,” wrote former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari lake.

“Putting America First means getting this joker out of the White House,” she added.

“@JoeBiden rode his bike to the beach while the people of Lahaina, Hawaii dug through the ashes of their shattered community. And Nero fiddled while Rome burned. They treat us like serfs,” she wrote in another tweet.

“In 2024, We The People will remind them who’s REALLY in charge,” she added.

“The Heritage Foundation found that the United States’ current $113 billion in aid to Ukraine costs $900 per American household. Meanwhile, Biden has no comment for Americans in Maui,” wrote Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL). 

“I bet if Hunter Biden had business in Hawaii they would have received the much needed support and funding,” he added.

 

“Joe Biden can’t be bothered to break his vacation and comment on the Hawaii disaster. A no comment?! So bad,” wrote radio host Clay Travis.

“Disgraceful response by President Biden. A ‘no comment’ and then a smirk when asked about the horrendous Maui disaster.. just appalling,” wrote media personality Piers Morgan.

“Biden doesn’t give AF about the suffering people of Maui. Or the suffering people of East Palestine, Ohio. Or the suffering people in border towns. Or the suffering people anywhere in America,” wrote Monica Crowley, the former Trump assistant secretary for public affairs at the US Treasury Department.

“Is this Joe Biden’s Katrina moment?” asked Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. 

“Here’s the moment where Joe Biden couldn’t be bothered to comment on the shockingly high and growing death toll from the Maui fires. Reports are mounting that residents were not alerted to the imminent danger, that there were not adequate emergency response teams in place, and that the devastation has exposed a failure of state and national leadership. The death toll is currently 96, though the lack of quality intel has led some to estimate the number could reach as high as 1,000 when all the deceased are accounted for,” he wrote, adding, “Prayerfully those estimates will be proven untrue.”

The wildfires in Maui are the deadliest in the country’s modern history.

So far, at least 96 have been confirmed dead, with over a thousand unaccounted for, as Breitbart News reported.

President Joe Biden reportedly said he had “no comment” when asked Sunday about the rising death toll from the devastating Hawaii fires.

Bloomberg’s White House reporter Justin Sink tweeted the president’s claimed response Sunday evening from Delaware:

“After a couple hours on the Rehoboth beach, @potus was asked about the rising death toll in Hawaii,” Sink posted on X. “‘No comment,’ he said before heading home.”

Sink also posted a photo of Biden on the beach surrounded by several people in beach chairs.

Biden arrived at his beach home on Saturday in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He returned to the White House on Monday morning.

Joe Concha, a columnist for The Messenger noted Biden’s last 24 posts on X were “pats on the back from protecting land to Bidenomics.”

“You have to go back 25 to see anything regarding Maui. The president is at his beach house in Delaware, where he just gave a ‘no comment’ to a reporter asking about Maui. Stunning,” he posted.

The last time Biden posted about the fires in Hawaii was August 10, saying: “Jill and I send our deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones in the wildfires in Maui. Our prayers are with those whose homes, businesses, and communities are destroyed.”

The wildfires in Maui are the deadliest in the United States’ modern history.

So far, at least 96 have been confirmed dead, with over 1,000 unaccounted for, as Breitbart News reported.

Biden-Harris to Pass on Visiting Maui: They ‘Don’t Want to Distract’ from Relief Efforts

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will not visit Maui in the aftermath of the deadly wildfires because they “don’t want to distract” from the relief efforts, Harris announced on Friday.

The wildfires, which began Tuesday and continue to blaze, have destroyed acres of property and taken dozens of lives. On Friday, local officials announced the death toll increased to 67, making it the deadliest wildfire on U.S. soil since the 2018 Camp Fire in California killed at least 85 people.

The wildfires have destroyed at least 2,000 acres of land, including 80 percent of the Maui town Lahaina, a rich cultural area that was once the capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Neither Biden nor Harris will visit the devastated Hawaiian island despite the destruction, according to Harris.

“We don’t want to distract from the resources that need to go in to the victims of this tragedy, and of course, the needs of the first responders have to be able to focus on that issue and not worry about focusing on us [because] we’re there,” Harris told reporters before boarding Air Force Two for Chicago.

“We are coordinating federal resources to swiftly get there to support the work in terms of recovery but to just support the folks on the ground. It is tragic,” she said, adding that she and Biden are “deeply concerned” about the wildfire.

Biden declared it a major disaster on Thursday, opening up federal aid for the impacted areas. The federal government has also released food and water to support 5,000 people for five days.

Gov. Josh Green (D) on Thursday cautioned that the death toll would rise “significantly” in the coming days.

Power, internet, and communication outages caused by the fire have significantly impacted rescue and relief efforts.

“We as a local nonprofit are not able to even access anything west of Maalaea. West Maui is completely cut off from communication and power,” said Maui Rescue Mission communications consultant Lauren Henrie. “We are looking at years, years of recovery here.”

Republicans are ripping President Joe Biden for attempting to tie U.S. disaster relief to Ukraine funding, asserting that the president is holding Americans “hostage.”

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is leading the charge, urging Congress to separate disaster relief in the U.S. from billions more in aid to Ukraine.

Biden this week was originally expected to request more aid for Ukraine, with a figure “north of $10 billion.” Indeed, according to the Associated Press (AP), Biden requested over $13 billion in “emergency defense aid to Ukraine and an additional $8 billion for humanitarian support through the end of the year.”

The $40-billion aid package includes $12 billion for disaster relief in the U.S. as well, triggering concerns among Republicans and prompting Rubio, who tends to support aid to Ukraine with more oversight, to take action.

“President Biden is holding Floridians and other Americans hostage by tying critical domestic disaster relief to foreign military aid,” Rubio stated on Thursday.

“While the Biden administration works with my colleagues in the House on what can actually pass, I urge prompt consideration of legislation to replenish the Disaster Relief Fund,” the Florida senator added, prompting agreement from fellow Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).

“Marco and I don’t always agree on Ukraine policy, but he is absolutely right about this. We have just had horrible fires in Maui. Biden still hasn’t declared a disaster in East Palestine, and hurricane season is just around the corner,” Vance said.

“Do disaster aid, then we can debate Ukraine,” Vance added.

Despite Rubio’s general support of aiding Ukraine, he is among those calling for far more oversight, halting the status of writing a “blank check.”

Biden’s desire to tie U.S. disaster relief to Ukraine aid comes as the people of East Palestine, Ohio, continue to seek assistance and beg for help months after the toxic train derailment. The Biden administration, however, has largely ignored them.

“Man, are they suffering. That’s another place in the United States that’s been forgotten about, just like the border, the people down there,” John Rourke, the head of Blue Line Moving who delivered pallets of water from former President Donald Trump to East Palestine residents, told Breitbart News during a July interview at the Turning Point Action Conference.

“We have American citizens, some of them veterans, who can’t even get a decent roof over their head until they figure out what the hell is going on in this town, alright; I was there. I could smell it in the air. I could feel it on my skin. I actually spoke with people. ‘How are you doing?’ And they’re miserable. They don’t understand why Joe Biden has not come down there and help them,” Rourke said, highlighting that it was Trump — not Biden — who showed up.

Maui disaster sirens never sounded as deadly fire engulfed hundreds of homes

As the official death toll from the Maui wildfires reached 67 on Friday, questions are being raised about why Hawaii’s disaster warning system was never activated when the climate change-fueled inferno was spreading rapidly across the island.

According to a PBS report on Thursday, Hawaii emergency management records “show no indication that warning sirens sounded before people ran for their lives from wildfires on Maui,” and, instead, “officials sent alerts to mobile phones, televisions and radio stations—but widespread power and cellular outages may have limited their reach.”

Hawaii has what the state says is the largest integrated outdoor all-hazard public safety warning system in the world. This includes about 400 sirens across the archipelago to alert people to various natural disasters and other threats. The system was created in the aftermath of a tsunami that struck Hawaii in 1946 and killed more than 150 people.

Along with the fact that the sirens were not activated, according to a report by BBC on Friday, Maui officials issued contradictory information about the extent and danger of the flames as they were being whipped up Wednesday. The Maui County website issued a statement on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. that said a brush fire had been “100% contained,” although “winds in the area remain a concern.”

In addition to “a warning to avoid blocked roads,” the BBC report said, “officials gave no further warnings,” regarding the situation in Lahaina until 4:45 p.m. local time, when the county said, “an apparent flare-up” of the fire had “caused the closure of a bypass near the town, as well as some evacuations.”

Further evacuations were announced later that afternoon, followed by an emergency declaration by Mayor Richard Bissen before 11:00 p.m. local time that night. Tourists in some hotels were instructed to remain in place to avoid clogging up local roads. However, by this time, flames driven by high winds from Hurricane Dora in the Pacific Ocean to the south of the islands had already engulfed parts of Lahaina, forcing some people to flee into the sea.

Even though conditions for the eruption of wildfires were well known and warned about, local, state and federal officials were completely unprepared for the intensity and speed of the devastation. 

On Wednesday, acting Governor Sylvia Luke admitted as much during a press conference when she said, “We never anticipated in this state that a hurricane which did not make impact on our islands will cause this type of wildfires, wildfires that wiped out communities, wildfires that wiped out businesses, wildfires that destroyed homes.”

Adam Weintraub of the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency told the Associated Press (AP) that the records do not show that Maui’s warning sirens were triggered when the Lahaina fire began on Tuesday. Weintraub said the county used emergency alerts sent to mobile phones, televisions and radio stations.

Brad Ventura, chief of the Maui Fire Department, said the fire moved so quickly from brush to neighborhoods that it was impossible to get messages to the emergency management agencies responsible for issuing the alerts. “What we experienced was such a fast-moving fire through the … initial neighborhood that caught fire they were basically self-evacuating with fairly little notice,” Ventura said.

Survivors told news media on Thursday that they did not hear any sirens or receive any warnings giving them enough time to prepare and only realized they were in danger when they saw the flames or heard nearby explosions.

The Maui wildfires are Hawaii’s deadliest disaster since a 1960 tsunami killed 61 people. Officials are warning that the death toll will continue to rise as search and rescue operations continue, and more victims are found.

Firefighters were still battling flames on parts of the island on Friday as rescue workers continued the work of trying to locate more than 1,000 people who are missing. Thousands of residents have been displaced by the fires that swept across the island and destroyed more than 1,700 structures and decimated the historic town of Lahaina.

With power and cellular service out in most areas, evacuation and search and rescue efforts have been made extremely difficult.

Another indication of the capitalist political establishment’s unpreparedness for the deadly wildfires is the fact that Maui’s firefighting staff is very small and ill-equipped for the events of Tuesday and Wednesday. Bobby Lee, the president of the Hawaii Firefighters Association, spoke to AP and said there are a maximum of 65 firefighters working at any given time in Maui County, and they are responsible for fighting fires on three islands: Maui, Molokai and Lanai.

The Maui crews have about 13 fire engines and two ladder trucks, all of which are designed for on-road use. The department does not have any off-road vehicles, which means fire crews are unable to attack brush fires thoroughly before they reach roads or populated areas, Lee said.

Meanwhile, more reports are emerging that government officials knew about the danger of rapidly spreading wildfires in Hawaii from the experience of Hurricane Lane in 2018. The storm, which narrowly missed making direct landfall with Hawaii, still inundated Hawaiian islands with flooding and whipped up wildfires that burned 3,000 acres across Maui and Oahu.

The fires fueled by winds from Lane were analyzed by a team of researchers from the University of Hawaii and the East-West Center. Their research was published in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society two years after that storm entitled, “Fire and Rain: The Legacy of Hurricane Lane in Hawaii.”

The researchers pointed to the confluence of conditions that would result from hurricane events in Hawaii. They said that further research was needed to determine whether hurricane-fire events were going to become more frequent. The research paper said, “A complete understating of these factors is critical to understanding the vulnerability of people and resources exposed during a severe weather event.”

Another document written in 2014 entitled the “Western Maui Community Wildfire Plan” identified West Maui as specifically susceptible to wildfires. Elizabeth Pickett, co-executive director of the nonprofit Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization and a coauthor of the plan, said that the devastating Maui fire was foreseeable.

Pickett told Honolulu Civic Beat, “We keep hearing from certain elected officials and other people being quoted in the media, ‘we had no idea, this is unprecedented.’ But actually, those of us in the wildfire community, meaning our fire agencies, our forestry natural resource management community, we have long been working to increase our risk reduction efforts.”

Of course, most of the actions recommended by the scientists were either ignored or never fully implemented. Pickett said even though the Maui fire had multiple factors that complicated fire control efforts, more could have been done to prevent it ahead of time. She added that Hawaii’s policies, codes, enforcement and resources have not kept up with the accelerated threats.

“We know there’s high risk. We know the science, we have the data, we’ve done the assessments, we have the community programs in place. It might not have been 100% preventable, but it could have been mitigated. It could have been lessened,” Pickett said.

Democratic presidential challenger Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that the wildfires in Maui and elsewhere in Hawaii are a problem that can unite both activists and skeptics of climate change, because the underlying cause is poor environmental management.

In a series of tweets Friday, Kennedy cited reports that the devastating blazes were fueled by invasive grassland species that had grown on former farmland that had been abandoned.

The United States must “finish” the border wall and “crush” cartels to protect the American people, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said during an interview with Breitbart News Saturday, contrasting himself with President Joe Biden and presenting some of the actions he would take should he make it to the White House.

The presidential hopeful, who recently visited the southern border, said the first glaring thing he noticed was that the wall is “incomplete.”

“The number one thing we should do is finish the border wall. The second thing that we should do is use the available technology to stop the fentanyl from killing another 70,000 Americans per year,” Scott said, adding that it is also essential to “crush the cartels” by freezing their assets and sanctioning their accounts.

“We cut off their blood support, so to speak, by taking away their money. If we do that, we’ll save tens of thousands of American lives. I wrote the legislation to get that done. It was passed through the Senate,” Scott said, expressing hope that it becomes law this year “so that we can do what the American people deserve”:

“A safe secure border. Today? Unsafe, insecure, wide open. Why? Joe Biden,” Scott said, identifying the issue as one of many at the forefront of voters’ minds, particularly in places such as Iowa.

Scott continued to contrast himself with Biden, telling Breitbart News Saturday that voters are “responding constructively to an optimistic, positive message anchored in conservatism.”

“What they want is someone that they can trust to stand toe to toe with President Xi, realizing that the existential threat to America is China. They want someone who sees 70,000 dead Americans because of fentanyl as a crisis to be solved. So we close the southern border. We finish the wall. We use military-grade technology to surveil the border so that we stop fentanyl from killing another 70,000 Americans in the next 12 months,” Scott said, adding that voters have been “responding very positive to the fact that [he is] the Republican who was put in charge of police reform.”

“Biden wants us to believe what he is saying, not what we are seeing with our own eyes and what we’re feeling with our own hearts on an inability to support our families like we could before he came in office,” Scott said, explaining that despite unemployment being low, we have fewer men in the workforce — 18 to 54 — “than we ever have in the history of the country.”

“So they’re not even being counted in unemployment. That is devastating, and that’s a distortion of the truth. Core inflation is 4.6 percent. That means that food and energy [are] still running really hot, really high, and unaffordable,” Scott said.

“As President of the United States, I would reduce our taxes so you get to keep more of your money,” he said, explaining that it is key to “get government out of the way, and you determine what you do with your life and your money.”

“[As President ] I would make sure that the average family keeps more of their money and that they decide the American Dream for themselves,” Scott added.

Mexican Cartel Weapons Found on Border Along Texas Bank of Rio Grande

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents found a small cache of Mexican cartel weapons on the Texas bank of the Rio Grande. This is the second suspected armed cartel incursion incident in the South Texas border town during the month of August.

As migrant apprehensions surge along the Texas border, law enforcement officers face a growing threat of Mexican Cartel violence in South Texas. Border Patrol officials reported the seizure of two cartel rifles and ammunition found Friday on the U.S. bank of the Rio Grande near Fronton, Texas. There were no arrests made in relation to the incident.

In a Friday morning post on “X,” formerly Twitter, Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez of the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Sector highlighted the seizure and stated, “Our U.S. Border Patrol Agents confront threats daily as they do their best to secure our border. Agents working jointly with our L.E. partners made a significant discovery of weapons and ammunition hidden by criminal organizations near Fronton, TX.”

The Border Patrol released photos of the weapons seizure of two rifles, several rifle magazines, and an ammunition carrier. The weapons appear to be an AR-15 style rifle and a Kalashnikov-style rifle. One photo shows the Kalashnikov rifle submerged in the river. The agency did not provide any other information regarding the multi-agency discovery other than to indicate no suspects were arrested in connection with the finding.

The small border town of Fronton, with a population of 167 residents, has been the scene of other cartel-related border activity in recent months. On Saturday, the images of three suspected Mexican cartel gunmen crossing the Rio Grande were captured by law enforcement cameras, according to Fox News report. One of the men depicted in the images on Saturday appeared to be wearing body armor. The three suspected Mexican cartel gunmen were not arrested despite a coordinated effort by the Border Patrol to locate them.

On Friday, an armed cartel gunmen crossed the Rio Grande with a group of migrants. He allegedly pointed the rifle at members of the Texas National Guard patrolling near the international railroad bridge in Eagle Pass, Texas, a law enforcement source told Breitbart Texas. A video shows the gunman returning to Mexico dragging a barrel and carrying the rifle.

In June, Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol troopers working in the same area arrested five suspected Mexican cartel members and seized two AR-15 style rifles in the same area. In that incident, DPS Spokesperson Lieutenant Chris Olivarez told Breitbart Texas the men were believed to be connected to the Cartel Del Noreste faction of the Los Zetas cartel.

Olivarez told Breitbart Texas, “One of the men told CID special agents they came under fire from Mexican law enforcement and fled across the Rio Grande.” The men were wearing camouflage clothing, complicating the search to find them in the thick brush along the banks of the river.

In addition to the recent incursions by suspected Mexican cartel gunmen, law enforcement agencies are also dealing with a significant surge in migrant crossings in the area. Weekend migrant apprehension numbers provided by the Border Patrol for the Rio Grande Valley Sector show a nearly 200% increase over the last month.  A total of 1647 migrants were encountered during the weekend ending July 8. During the weekend ending August 6, the agency reported migrant encounters had climbed to 4,660.

During the first ten days of August, RGV agents apprehended more than 10,000 migrants, according to a confidential law enforcement source. During the same period, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended more than 6,000 migrants.

The Heritage Foundation found that the United States’ current provision of $113 billion in aid to Ukraine costs $900 per American household.

“The formal aid packages alone amount to a staggering $113 billion—roughly $900 per American household and almost 12 times the spending cuts promised by House leadership in the annual spending bills,” Richard Stern, the director of the Heritage Foundation Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, told the Daily Signal.

“This $113 billion spending spree was added to our national debt and will cost more than $300 in interest costs per household over the decade. Of course, we’ve given more aid than that, but haven’t paid the bill on it yet,” he said.

This high dollar estimate arises at a time when Americans are becoming more skeptical about President Joe Biden’s long-term commitment to aiding Ukraine.

“As the war in Ukraine becomes a prolonged conflict, Americans are rightly growing skeptical of sending more taxpayer dollars and equipment from our depleted armory,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said.

Roberts added, “Washington has failed to address their concerns, explain our nation’s strategy in the war, or enact basic oversight for our aid. If Congress can’t fix those fundamental issues, they have no business sending more money into the fog of war.”

House conservatives, led by Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH), objected to Biden’s latest aid request, which would provide Ukraine with $24 billion in military and economic funding.

“This request exacerbates your administration’s out-of-control deficit spending and circumvents the bipartisan debt ceiling agreement,” the House conservatives wrote. “Americans are tired of funding endless wars and want policies that not only help restore fiscal sanity in Washington, but also put America and American citizens first.”

The Republicans asked that the Biden administration provide Congress with its “comprehensive strategy and mission for U.S. involvement in Ukraine.” They said without a formal strategy, “there is no way to develop clear objectives, allocate the proper resources, conduct rigorous oversight, or hold officials accountable for success or failure.”

The White House is asking Congress to spend another $24 billion fighting Russia in Ukraine — but just $800 million to fight fentanyl and other lethal drugs in U.S. communities.

That spending request seeks an extra $300 for Ukraine aid for every $1 it seeks for counter-drug programs.

In 2022, roughly 110,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, principally, from the fentanyl smuggled in from China and Mexico via free-trade routes.

President Joe Biden and Congress have already spent more than $100 billion to defend Ukraine in the war, which has now turned into a high-casualty, no-negotiations stalemate.

Since his inauguration, Biden has done little to stem the tide of drugs that accompany migrants from Mexico. For example, in 2023, his deputies signed a deal to streamline the flow of migrants from Mexico but have merely continued vague negotiations over drugs.

The White House request to Congress also asks for roughly $3.3 billion to speed the inflow of migrants. The number means that Biden’s deputies want to spend $4.00 importing additional migrants for every $1.00 spent on excluding drugs.

The result is more American deaths, including many deaths among the young Americans who are being sidelined by Biden’s flood of desperate and cheap illegal migrants.

The discards include many women who fall into prostitution:

A CNN poll in early August showed that 55 percent of U.S. voters say Congress should not send more aid to Ukraine. Forty-five percent support more funding.

The White House’s introduction to the August 11 funding request says the extra $800 million is needed for “ongoing efforts to reduce the influx of illicit drugs, such as fentanyl, across our borders and counter the threat these substances pose to our public health.”

The funding packages describe some of the useful — although late — programs.

This request would provide $350 million to the Department of Health and Human Services … to expand substance use prevention and treatment services given that fentanyl-related deaths have risen dramatically over the last three years.

The underemployed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency would get “$27 million for efforts to counter fentanyl …. [and] $45 million would be used for counter-drug activities related to fentanyl including enhanced data analysis and equipment, as well as countertrafficking efforts.”

The request asks for “$323 million to the Procurement, Construction … to support the deployment of non-intrusive inspection technology for use in identifying and interdicting fentanyl and other illicit drugs.”

The document also asks for $21 million to “support DHS S&T funding for counter-fentanyl research and development, to be implemented in coordination with DHS components and law enforcement partners.”

“This request would provide $23 million to the Salaries and Expenses account within the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the Department of Justice, the request says.

Mexican Cartel Weapons Found on Border Along Texas Bank of Rio Grande

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents found a small cache of Mexican cartel weapons on the Texas bank of the Rio Grande. This is the second suspected armed cartel incursion incident in the South Texas border town during the month of August.

As migrant apprehensions surge along the Texas border, law enforcement officers face a growing threat of Mexican Cartel violence in South Texas. Border Patrol officials reported the seizure of two cartel rifles and ammunition found Friday on the U.S. bank of the Rio Grande near Fronton, Texas. There were no arrests made in relation to the incident.

In a Friday morning post on “X,” formerly Twitter, Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez of the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Sector highlighted the seizure and stated, “Our U.S. Border Patrol Agents confront threats daily as they do their best to secure our border. Agents working jointly with our L.E. partners made a significant discovery of weapons and ammunition hidden by criminal organizations near Fronton, TX.”

The Border Patrol released photos of the weapons seizure of two rifles, several rifle magazines, and an ammunition carrier. The weapons appear to be an AR-15 style rifle and a Kalashnikov-style rifle. One photo shows the Kalashnikov rifle submerged in the river. The agency did not provide any other information regarding the multi-agency discovery other than to indicate no suspects were arrested in connection with the finding.

The small border town of Fronton, with a population of 167 residents, has been the scene of other cartel-related border activity in recent months. On Saturday, the images of three suspected Mexican cartel gunmen crossing the Rio Grande were captured by law enforcement cameras, according to Fox News report. One of the men depicted in the images on Saturday appeared to be wearing body armor. The three suspected Mexican cartel gunmen were not arrested despite a coordinated effort by the Border Patrol to locate them.

On Friday, an armed cartel gunmen crossed the Rio Grande with a group of migrants. He allegedly pointed the rifle at members of the Texas National Guard patrolling near the international railroad bridge in Eagle Pass, Texas, a law enforcement source told Breitbart Texas. A video shows the gunman returning to Mexico dragging a barrel and carrying the rifle.

In June, Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol troopers working in the same area arrested five suspected Mexican cartel members and seized two AR-15 style rifles in the same area. In that incident, DPS Spokesperson Lieutenant Chris Olivarez told Breitbart Texas the men were believed to be connected to the Cartel Del Noreste faction of the Los Zetas cartel.

Olivarez told Breitbart Texas, “One of the men told CID special agents they came under fire from Mexican law enforcement and fled across the Rio Grande.” The men were wearing camouflage clothing, complicating the search to find them in the thick brush along the banks of the river.

In addition to the recent incursions by suspected Mexican cartel gunmen, law enforcement agencies are also dealing with a significant surge in migrant crossings in the area. Weekend migrant apprehension numbers provided by the Border Patrol for the Rio Grande Valley Sector show a nearly 200% increase over the last month.  A total of 1647 migrants were encountered during the weekend ending July 8. During the weekend ending August 6, the agency reported migrant encounters had climbed to 4,660.

During the first ten days of August, RGV agents apprehended more than 10,000 migrants, according to a confidential law enforcement source. During the same period, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended more than 6,000 migrants.

Schweizer: ‘You Cannot Separate the Biden Businesses from Joe Biden’s Political Position in Power’

Friday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Hannity,” New York Times best-selling author, Breitbart News senior contributor, and Government Accountability Institute president Peter Schweizer dismissed claims that the Biden families businesses could be separated from President Joe Biden’s past positions of power.

According to Schweizer, Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca business was “centered around” his father’s position of power.

“I mean, look, really, from the beginning, Joe Biden is the center of all of this,” he said. “Think when Hunter starts this business, Rosemont Seneca, that does the deals in China, that gets him hooked up in Ukraine, he starts it in 2009, just months after his father becomes vice president of the United States, up until that point, Sean, he had been a lobbyist for entities in Delaware lobbying his own father. So the entire business enterprise was centered around his father’s elevation to the vice presidency, and then you look at the deals in China. Those deals get secured days after he shows up in China. Where? On Air Force Two with his father.”

“So you cannot separate the Biden businesses from Joe Biden’s political position in power, and the notion that he just shows up and shakes hands and that just leads these foreign nationals to throw money at Hunter is laughable,” Schweizer continued. “These foreign nationals are sending money to Joe, to Hunter Biden and the Biden family because they know it’s going to give them special access and possible favors with the vice president of the United States.”

Cruz: If Biden Is Guilty of Bribery, He Should Go to Prison

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) laid out a scenario in which President Joe Biden would be guilty of bribery.

He said if that were the case, he should not only be impeached but prosecuted and sent to prison if found guilty.

Partial transcript as follows:

Legally, I see every single day the evidence is growing and growing and growing, and we’re also seeing — you just played a minute ago, Jake Tapper and Elizabeth Warren, neither the corporate media nor any congressional Democrat cares at all whether the president of the United States received millions of dollars of bribes from foreign nationals.

Even that little exchange there where Jake Tapper asked, well, gosh, you know, it was sort of influence peddling, and isn’t that bothersome? No, those are not the allegations, Jake. You’re a journalist, or you’re supposed to be. The allegations are bribery, that it wasn’t just Hunter selling access. It was Hunter selling official favors from his father Joe Biden.

Let’s go to what that FD-1023 specifically says the FBI form, a confidential human source that had been reliable previously to the FBI came forward and said that the oligarch who owns Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden in exchange for Joe Biden’s help getting rid of the prosecutor that was investigating Burisma and investigating that oligarch.

Now, what is bribery? The essence of a bribery is a quid pro quo. We remember from the first Trump impeachment. The media, Jake knows what a quid pro quo is. He talked about it incessantly when it concerned Donald Trump.

Quid pro quo is Latin for this, for that. Bribery is paying someone something of value in an exchange for an official favor. Now, the quo we know happened because as you noted, Joe Biden has confessed to it in a video interview where he said he went to Ukraine. He held hostage a billion dollars in U.S. loan guarantees and demanded that the Ukrainian government fire the prosecutor that is investigating Burisma and investigating the oligarch.

We know the quo happened. The only question was, did the quid happen? Did they pay $10 million for him to do so? If so, Joe Biden is guilty of bribery. Hunter is guilty of selling bribes, selling official favors from his father. And if that is the case, Joe Biden should be impeached. He should be removed from office. He should be prosecuted, and he should go to prison, and he should share a cell with Hunter for corrupting the government of the United States
