Biden, long known as Delaware’s “senator from DuPont,” Biden served on committees that were most sensitive to the interests of the ruling class, including the Judiciary Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee. He supported the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999, a milestone in the deregulation of the banks, and other right-wing measures. After nearly four decades in the Senate, Biden became Obama’s vice president, helping to oversee the massive bailout of Wall Street following the 2008 financial crisis and the subsequent restructuring of class relations to benefit the rich. That included the bailout of General Motors and Chrysler, based on a 50 percent cut in the pay of all newly hired autoworkers. JERRY WHITE, JOESEPH KISHORE

Biden is, and has always been, a pathological liar of the worst kind, the kind who lies to boost his own ego no matter how easy it is to prove his dishonesty. PATRICIA McCARTHY
Getting Biden Wrong
Okay, I get it! From listening to Republican TV and reading Republican publications, I have learned that Joe Biden is a sleazy, mendacious, and demented chief executive. He has weaponized the entire Justice Department and the IRS against his real and suspected political opponents, thrown open our southern border to drug cartels, and reduced our armed forces and international posture to shambles. Moreover, Joe has a gangster son with whom he has engaged in illegal business ventures; and it’s entirely possible that the cocaine recently found in the West Wing of the White House came from son Hunter, who is a drug addict as well as many other bad things.
Biden seems to be far and away the most incompetent, unprincipled, and verbally incoherent president of my lifetime, going back to the 1950s. It would be hard to think of any president who has disgraced his office to the same degree or who has unleashed more problems on this country.
Devon Archer: Bidens ‘Intimidated’ People Not to Legally Mess with Them
The Biden brand “intimidated” people to not legally mess with the Biden family, Devon Archer told Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) during his transcribed congressional interview.
Archer, who testified that Hunter Biden included then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone more than 20 times with business associates to sell “the brand,” also told Goldman the Bidens intimidated people into not legally probing the family’s business activities.
Archer told Goldman that Hunter Biden was able to survive on the board of Burisma Holdings because of the Biden brand.
“I don’t understand. How does that have an impact?” Goldman asked.
“The capabilities to navigate D.C. that they were able to basically be in the news cycle. And I think that preserved them from a longevity standpoint. That’s like my honest — that’s like how I think holistically,” he replied.
“But how would that work?” Goldman asked.
“Because people would be intimidated to mess with them,” Archer stated.
“In what way?” Goldman pressed.
“Legally,” Archer replied.

In 2014, Archer and Hunter Biden both joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with legal challenges, as it was under investigation for wrongdoing. Burisma paid Hunter Biden $83,000 a month to sit on its board.
Archer also testified that in December 2015, co-founder of Burisma Mykola Zlochevsky and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharski put pressure on Hunter Biden to get help from Washington, D.C., regarding the Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for corruption.
Years later, in 2018, Joe Biden bragged about the firing of Shokin during an official visit to Ukraine in 2015. During the visit, he met with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv about Ukraine’s corruption.
Archer said that Hunter Biden, along with Zlochevsky and Pozharski, “called D.C.” to speak about the legal situation. Biden, Zlochevsky, and Pozharski stepped away to take the call.
Breitbart News reported that Archer’s testimony produced evidence implicating Joe Biden in a bribery scheme in which a foreign company paid Hunter Biden in return for the use of the Biden “brand.”
Devon Archer: ‘Burisma Would Have Gone Out of Business’ Without Biden Brand
Burisma Holdings “would have gone out of business” without the Biden brand attached to the company, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s best friend in business, said during a transcribed congressional testimony.
Archer told investigators that Hunter Biden put then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone over 20 times with business associates to sell the Biden brand. That brand is what saved Burisma from going bankrupt, according to Archer.
In 2014, Archer and Hunter Biden both joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with legal challenges, as it was under investigation for wrongdoing. In turn, Burisma paid Hunter Biden $83,000 a month to be a board member and provide the Biden brand.
“My only thought is that I think Burisma would have gone out of business if it didn’t have the brand attached to it,” Archer told Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY). “That’s my, like, only [sic] honest opinion.”
During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Archer expounded on what the Biden brand meant. “Obviously, the brand of Biden, you know, adds a lot of power when your dad’s vice president,” he said.
“It’s an abuse of soft power,” he added.
Archer also told congressional investigators that the Bidens intimidated people into not legally probing the family’s business activities.
“The capabilities to navigate D.C. that they were able to basically be in the news cycle. And I think that preserved them from a longevity standpoint. That’s like my honest – that’s like how I think holistically,” Archer said.
“But how would that work?” Goldman asked.
“Because people would be intimidated to mess with them,” Archer stated.
“In what way?” Goldman pressed.
“Legally,” Archer replied.

Devon Archer Confirms Breitbart News’ 2020 Report on Joe Biden, Kazakhstan Dinner
Devon Archer, former business partner of Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, confirmed to Congress what Breitbart News reported in October 2020: that then-Vice President Biden met with Hunter’s associates from Kazakhstan at Café Milano in 2014.
A photograph taken at the meeting was first published in 2019 at an anti-corruption website called the Kazhakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery (KIAR). A source informed Breitbart News that the location was likely the Café Milano in Washington, D.C.
Breitbart News reported at the time:
The photo … purports to show Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, together with Kazakhstan’s former prime minister, Karim Massimov, at far right.
At far left, the photo shows Kenes Rakishev, described as “a relative and junior partner of [oligarch] Timur Kulibayev.”
…
Rakishev and Hunter Biden once reportedly explored business opportunities together.
A U.S. Senate report on Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings also noted that Rakishev, who had been at the Café Milano dinner, gave $142,300 to Archer, ostensibly for a car, and that the timing coincided with Vice President Biden’s visit to Ukraine:
Archer received $142,300 from Kenges Rakishev of Kazakhstan, purportedly for a car, the same day [in 2014] Vice President Joe Biden appeared with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsemy Yasenyuk and addressed Ukrainian legislators in Kyiv regarding Russia’s actions in Crimea.
At the time, the date of the photograph was unknown, but Archer’s testimony to the House Oversight Committee earlier this week confirmed that the date of the meeting was 2014.
Archer also confirmed that Biden — who denied during his 2020 campaign that he had ever discussed his family’ business interests — had dinner that evening with his son’s associates, and that they included Yelena Baturina, the widow of former Moscow mayor Yury Luzkkov, who had earlier wired Hunter Biden $3.5 million.
From the transcript:
Majority Counsel: And I want to talk about the value. Going back to this, it would be, spring of 2014 Cafe Milano dinner ‑‑
Mr. Archer: Uh‑huh. The spring of ’14, yeah, the first one.
Majority Counsel: And since we talked about it before the break, if you could just recap. Can you just say again who was there?
Mr. Archer: Sure. Kenes Rakishev, Karim Massimov, Yelena Baturina, possibly Yury, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, possibly Eric Schwerin.
Majority Counsel: The duration of time that Joe Biden stayed there you said you couldn’t recall. But do you recall whether he had dinner or whether ‑‑
Mr. Archer: He had dinner, yeah. I recall that he had dinner. It was a regular ‑‑ not a long dinner, but dinner.
Majority Counsel: And so this dinner takes place in spring of 2014, approximately. But then do you recall getting a wire on February 14th of 2014 from Yelena Baturina for $3.5 million to Rosemont Seneca Thornton?
Mr. Archer: To Rosemont Seneca Thornton?
Majority Counsel: Yes.
Mr. Archer: Yes. And why I remember that is from the ‑‑ from other testimony. Yes.
In the first presidential debate of 2020, President Biden denied, falsely, that Baturina had sent his son $3.5 million. Archer’s testimony confirmed the transfer, as well as the fact that Biden was on at least 20 phone calls with Hunter Biden’s associates.
Democrats attempted to claim, following Archer’s testimony, that the fact that Joe Biden spoke on the phone with his son’s associates on the phone did not mean that they spoke about business. Legal analyst Jonathan Turley mocked that claim:
While Turley was referring to the Café Milano in jest, it turns out that Biden did not talk “on speakerphone” to Hunter Biden’s associates at that particular restaurant, but he actually dined with them in person, as confirmed by Archer’s testimony Monday.
The head of the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section at the time of the Bidens’ dinner was Jack Smith, who is now the Special Counsel prosecuting former President Donald Trump. Smith did not prosecute the Bidens at the time, nor has he since.

Tucker Carlson Reveals Joe Biden Sent an Endearing Thank You Letter to Devon Archer
Then-Vice President Joe Biden wrote an endearing thank you letter in 2011 to Hunter Biden’s best friend in business, Devon Archer, Tucker Carlson revealed during an interview released Wednesday on Twitter.
“It’s from January 20th, 2011, which, I think, puts you in your late thirties,” Carlson described the letter. “This is from the vice president of the United States, Joe Biden, to you, personally.”
Carlson held up the letter during the interview, displaying a personalized handwritten note from Joe Biden at the bottom.
Carlson read the letter to Archer in which Joe Biden thanked him for attending a lunch:
I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. I was having trouble getting away from hosting President Hu (Jintao, who’s running China at that point). I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. I hope you enjoyed lunch. Thanks for coming. Sincerely, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. P.S. (handwritten) Happy you guys are together.
“What was he thanking you for?” Carlson asked.
“First of all, it’s a lovely letter,” Archer replied.
“It’s quite enthusiastic; it’s a little weird though, right?” Carlson questioned.
“Well, it was,” he admitted. “Listen, it was, it was kind of the beginning of our partnership.”
“And he was thanking me and thanking Hunter, I think, at the end of the day, for bringing this idea of this government regulatory strategic advisory business into the private equity world,” Archer explained. “And I think he was excited about the prospects for Hunter. And, you know, he was just, just thanking me. I think it was a nice gesture.”
During the interview, Carlson asked Archer about Hunter Biden’s business specialization. Archer said Hunter Biden specialized in reducing regulatory exposure for businesses, specifically for Burisma Holdings.
“So really, the business of Washington is selling access,” Tucker stated.
“Understanding a regulatory environment means selling access,” Archer replied.
“He [Hunter Biden] knew a lot of people. But obviously, there were some familial, you know,” Archer said. “And obviously, I know you’re pointing to the father being the key relationship.”
“It’s an abuse of soft power,” Archer added. “Obviously, the brand of Biden, you know, adds a lot of power when your dad’s vice president.”

DOJ Denies It Tried To Jail Hunter Biden Witness Devon Archer Ahead of Testimony
The Department of Justice denied it tried to prevent Hunter Biden's ex-business partner from testifying to Congress when it requested this weekend he report to prison.
Devon Archer, who sat on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma with Hunter Biden, testified Monday behind closed doors to the House Oversight Committee about Joe Biden, who as vice president was involved in policy on Ukraine while Hunter Biden was on the board.
Speculation grew that the DOJ was trying to intimidate Archer after it sent a letter on Saturday requesting a judge set a date for him to report to prison in a separate case not involving the Bidens. Archer was convicted last year of defrauding a Native American tribe out of millions, and now federal prosecutors are pushing for his one-year sentence to begin.
In a letter to Judge Ronnie Abrams, who is overseeing Archer's fraud case, the DOJ said it "respectfully requests that the defendant be ordered to surrender, at a date and time determined by the Court, to a facility designated by the Bureau of Prisons to commence his term of imprisonment."
But the DOJ on Sunday denied the notion that the letter sought to lock away Archer before he could testify before Congress, according to the New York Post, noting that the process of sending Archer to prison would take "several weeks or months" and therefore would not interfere with his testimony.
"Nonetheless, for the avoidance of all doubt, the Government requests that any surrender date, should the Court order one, be scheduled to occur after the defendant’s Congressional testimony is completed," U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a second letter to Abrams.
Matthew Schwartz, the lawyer representing Archer, said his client "does not agree" with speculation that the letter was intended to prevent his testimony.
"We are aware of speculation that the Department of Justice’s weekend request to have Mr. Archer report to prison is an attempt by the Biden administration to intimidate him in advance of his meeting with the House Oversight Committee," Schwartz said. "Archer does not agree with that speculation."
Archer was expected to tell members of Congress in his Monday testimony that he witnessed on dozens of occasions Hunter Biden calling his father during meetings with foreign business partners.
Joe Biden has frequently distanced himself from his son's lucrative foreign business dealings.
"I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their business, period," Biden said in August 2019.
The development comes as Hunter Biden continues to face legal troubles surrounding his alleged tax crimes. A plea deal he made with the DOJ fell apart last week when federal judge Maryellen Noreika rejected the deal and told prosecutors and Biden's legal team to craft a new one.
The original deal would have allowed him to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax crimes and receive immunity on a broad range of criminal charges, all while avoiding jail time. The White House said Biden will not issue a pardon for his son.
