Happy Thanksgiving to Jamaal Bowman: House Ethics Committee Declines to Investigate Fire Alarm Scandal

The House Ethics Committee voted against opening an investigation into Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) on Wednesday for falsely pulling a fire alarm in a congressional office building in September.

Bowman, who previously worked as a middle school principal, pulled the fire alarm just as lawmakers were about to vote on a short-term government funding measure to avoid a government shutdown. The New York lawmaker faced six months jail time, but in a plea deal he agreed to pay a $1,000 fine and write an apology to Capitol Police. After three months of probation, the charge will be withdrawn.

The committee announced its decision in a press release, noting that the panel is required to consider whether or not to create an investigative committee within 30 days of a member being criminally charged.

“A majority of the Members of the Committee did not agree to establish an ISC or report to the House regarding Representative Bowman’s conduct,” the committee stated.

Bowman claimed he pulled the fire alarm because he was trying to open emergency doors in order to go vote. However, Breitbart News first broke the news that Bowman threw emergency warning signs to the floor before pulling the alarm, running down a set of stairs, and exiting the building from another floor, contradicting his claims.

Bowman has also claimed he was not trying to disrupt congressional proceedings, but acknowledged that he broke D.C. law by pulling the alarm.

After the incident, Bowman’s office sent suggested talking points to his Democrat colleagues enlisting their help defending him against “Nazi” Republicans.

A Black ‘Radical’ Mayor is in the Middle of the Worst Police Brutality Scandal

It doesn't get any more radical than a cover-up.

Forget George Floyd’s drug overdose or any of the other cases hyped by BLM. There is an actual bad case that comes from a politically inconvenient case.

To understand why it’s politically inconvenient, consider who the mayor of Jackson, MS is.

Here’s the Discover the Networks profile for Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba.

Chokwe Antar Lumumba was born in Detroit on March 29, 1983. His surname came from Patrice Lumumba, a Communist black nationalist who served briefly as the first prime minister of the independent Republic of the Congo in 1960. ..

An integral theme of the aforementioned elements of Lumumba’s mayoral campaign was his burning desire to end what he described as the “cycles of humiliation” that, by his telling, had defined black life in Jackson since time immemorial.

“So we’ve made the decision that we’re going to be the most radical city on the planet,” Lumumba told those in attendance. “We’re going to make certain that we change the whole scope of electoral politics.” “I’ll embrace the term radical,” he added. “… I believe that a radical is someone who cares enough about circumstances that they want to see a change … [W]e all need to be prepared to be as radical as the circumstances dictate we should be.”

The radical approach paid off.

From 2019 to 2020, murders in Jackson increased by 50%, and 2020 became the city’s deadliest year on record, by a wide margin. In fact, Jackson’s murder rate was now among the highest of any city in the United States. As a local news station reported, on average, someone in Jackson was either shot or killed every 31 hours in 2020.

And then the Dexter Wade case came along.

More than eight months after 37-year-old Dexter Wade was killed and later buried in a pauper’s field, his mother gave her only son the formal funeral that he’d been denied.

Her quest to find her son began soon after he left home on March 5 and didn’t return. For months afterward, missing persons investigators with the Jackson Police Department told her that they didn’t have any leads. Then, in late August, officers revealed that he’d been struck by a Jackson police cruiser while he was crossing a six-lane highway less than an hour after he’d left home.

The Hinds County coroner’s office told her his body had been buried in a pauper’s field in July after authorities had failed to reach his next of kin — even though, according to the family’s lawyers, an independent autopsy conducted on the family’s behalf this month found that Dexter Wade was buried with a state ID listing his home address.

Ben Crump, Sharpton and the other parasites are all over this, but unlike a lot of BLM cases, this is a legitimate case of police misconduct. Wade was hit by a police car and the local authorities chose to cover it up and bury the body out of sight.

What has Lumumba’s radical response to this been?

Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba asked for a moment of silence Thursday evening for Dexter Wade, who was killed in March near Interstate 55 and McDowell Road. Wade was walking in the area when he was struck by the Jackson Police Department vehicle.

Lumumba said police were unable to find Wade’s family in “an expeditious period of time and he was later buried, once the coroner went to the Hinds County Board of Supervisors to get permission to do so.”

Lumumba said Wade’s death was an “unfortunate and tragic accident.”

It doesn’t get any more radical and revolutionary than a cover-up.
