NEO-FASCIST JOE BIDEN - Biden Scolds Media Coverage of Economy: ‘Start Reporting It the Right Way’ - YEAH, GIVE YOUR JOB TO ONE OF JOE'S ILLEGALS WHO WILL WORK CHEAPER AND PAY FOR THEIR HOUSING AND ANCHOR BABY BREEDING

NOT TO WORRY! JOE'S GOT 20 MILLION MORE ILLEGALS WAITING FOR MORE!

BILLARY CLINTON N.A.F.T.A. DEMS HAVE ORCHESTRATED THE GREATEST TRANSFER OF WEALTH TO THE RICH IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORY

Joe Biden and other Democrats have spent the last four years repeating the mantra “no one is above the law.” Yet Biden has advocated policies that would, as the San Francisco Chronicle recently noted, effectively make the United States a sanctuary country.

Report: California Sees Surge in Number of Homeless Women

California is experiencing a rise in the number of homeless women, among a general rise in homelessness on the streets of its major cities.

The crisis is one of the major drawbacks of life in a state with every natural advantage, and an abundance of wealth, but with a disproportionate share of the nation’s poor.

The UK Guardian reported Thursday:

Homelessness is a phenomenon that historically has predominantly affected men. But in California, where the number of homeless people surged to 181,000 this year, the number of homeless women has also grown. Newly released data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development show 60,000 unhoused women in the Golden state in 2023 – nearly as many as New York, Texas and Florida combined, and an increase of more than 50% over the previous eight years.

This rise poses a test for state policymakers, who must cope with an increase in groups that face unique challenges, such as domestic violence survivors, pregnant women and mothers. Last year, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that proponents say makes California a national leader in addressing the needs of unhoused women. But despite the new law, the problem in California keeps getting worse.

Domestic violence is cited as a major driver of homelessness, with a study by the Urban Institute concluding earlier this year: “More than a quarter of women (28.7 percent) reported leaving permanent housing because of domestic or interpersonal violence. This was the most commonly cited reason for leaving a prior permanent housing placement.” Mental health challenges and poverty are also important factors.

Recently, Fox News noted, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s “ten-year plan” to end homelessness in San Francisco, where he was mayor at the time, observed its twentieth anniversary — with no end to homelessness in sight.

Newsom did manage to clear the homeless off the streets of San Francisco last month, albeit temporarily — an action that he admitted he took to prepare the visit of Chinese premier Xi Jinping.

The number of people applying for unemployment benefits rose by 2,000 to 205,000 in the week that ended December 16.

This is still a very low figure, indicating that the labor market remains robust. Economists had forecast initial jobless claims would climb to 215,000.

The number of people collecting unemployment benefits after an initial week was close to unchanged at 1.87 million. Continuing claims have risen from the 1.3 million or so low hit last year and currently are around where they were before the pandemic.

Claims fell in 39 states and territories and rose in 14. The highest rates of people collecting unemployment benefits are in New Jersey, Alaska, and California.

Biden Scolds Media Coverage of Economy: ‘Start Reporting It the Right Way’

There was no Christmas cheer from President Joe Biden on Saturday as he demanded media outlets begin reporting on the economy “the right way” as he headed for his holiday break.

In passing remarks delivered before boarding the presidential helicopter, Biden backed the economy and ripped naysayers for the way it has been portrayed as something less than stellar on his watch.

“All good. Take a look. Start reporting it the right way,” Biden said when asked about his economic outlook for 2024, according to a transcript released Sunday by the White House.

Biden’s standing with voters has struggled through 2023 with the economy under his leadership being a prime point of concern.

Critics argue wages haven’t kept up with inflation and that gas and grocery prices have a huge impact on how people feel.

As Breitbart News reported, a majority of voters disapprove of Biden’s sluggish economy based on some of those metrics, the top issue heading into the 2024 presidential election, a Quinnipiac University poll found last month.

The poll’s findings highlight Biden’s greatest vulnerability upon a likely challenge from former President Donald Trump. Under the Trump administration, the economy soared to the greatest heights in American history, critics of Biden say.

The poll found Biden’s economy is the number one issue for voters, outranking climate change, abortion, and “preserving democracy”:

    • Economy: 28 percent
    • Preserving democracy: 17 percent
    • Immigration: 12 percent
    • Crime/Gun violence: 12 percent
    • Climate change: Five percent
    • Abortion: Three percent

Adding to Biden’s woes, a majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck in his America, a recent LendingClub study found, raising concerns so-called “Bidenomics” failed to lift all Americans.

The high number of Americans struggling to make ends meet appears to confirm polling that shows only 14 percent of voters believe Biden’s economic policies have helped them, while 85 percent think they have either hurt them or made no difference, as Breitbart News reported.

Leading Economic Indicators Point to Looming Recession

A closely watched measure of forward-looking economic data fell again in November—a warning sign that the economy could slump next year.

The Conference Board said its Leading Economic Index (LEI) fell 0.5 percent last month, following a one percent decline in October.

The LEI declined by 3.5 percent over the six-month period between May and November 2023, a slower pace of contraction than recorded in the previous six months.

“The US LEI continued declining in November, with stock prices making virtually the only positive contribution to the index in the month,” said the Conference Board’s Justyna Zabinska-La Monica. “Housing and labor market indicators weakened in November, reflecting warning areas for the economy.”

The Conference Board said it expects a shallow recession in the first half of 2024.

While the leading indicators continue to indicate weakness, the Conference Board’s measure of current indicators strengthened. All four of the major components—payroll employment, personal income less transfer payments, manufacturing and trade sales, and industrial production— of the Current Economic Index (CEI) were positive in November.

Over the past six months, the CEI has increased one percent, better than the 0.7 growth in the previous six months.

White House: The Economy Is Better, But Home ‘Affordability Challenge Is Very Great’

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN This Morning,” White House National Economic Council Director Lael Brainard argued that the economy is better off than it was before, but home affordability challenges are still “very great,” and that people are also upset about healthcare costs and junk fees.

After Brainard stated that the economy is better off than it was a year ago, two years ago, and three years ago, co-host Poppy Harlow asked about people who feel Bidenomics isn’t working, especially on housing prices. Brainard responded, “We are very focused on a few areas where affordability is still a challenge for many families. Housing is one of those areas where people who already have homes — and that percentage has actually increased a great deal over the last few years — they are feeling pretty good. But people who are not able yet to purchase homes, looking at high mortgage rates is a real challenge. We’ve seen the mortgage rate come down by about 1.5 percentage points just in recent weeks, but even so, the affordability challenge is very great, and, as you said, on the most affordable housing, we have a real supply shortfall. And so, the president is going to keep pushing for a set of policies that would go a long way in creating a much more affordable home supply through low-income housing tax credits, affordable tax credits, and down payment assistance.”

Later, Harlow asked about poor economic polling data, Brainard responded that people went through a lot, things have improved, but “I think it takes a while, and it’s also that there are a few areas that Americans are worried are not as affordable. If you look at health care in particular, two to three times more expensive on prescription drugs than other countries. That’s just not right. And that’s why we’re fighting so hard to get prescription drug prices down, whether it be insulin for seniors at $35 a month, down from $400. We’re capping out-of-pocket costs for seniors at $2,000 per year. We’ve got to chip away at some of these areas where Americans feel it’s just not right or that they’re tired of being ripped off like in the area of junk fees, where we’re fighting really hard to get rid of overdraft fees and bounced check fees, baggage fees, seating fees, all of those things add up.”

Texas Border Wide Open as Sector Shutters Stations for Catch and Release

The overwhelming surge of migrants crossing the Rio Grande forced the busiest border sector in Texas to close Border Patrol stations so personnel may be reassigned to migrant processing and transportation duties. According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection source, the announcement came on Friday, ordering managers to cease operations at stations in Carrizo Springs, Comstock, Uvalde, and Brackettville, Texas.

The move will leave more than ten thousand square miles within the sector without any Border Patrol presence. In recent weeks, the Biden administration shuttered the Eagle Pass Bridge I Port of Entry and the railroad bridge linking Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Mexico, to reassign personnel to address the continuing migrant surge. The railroad line was shut to slow the flow of migrants as that is the primary mode of transportation for the groups of migrants, sometimes in the thousands, to reach the U.S. border from the interior of Mexico.

The rail bridge reopened earlier Friday, signaling the flow of migrants may continue unabated in the coming days. The announcement on Friday also included instructions to put some Border Patrol agents and managers on notice that holiday leave, scheduled more than a year in advance may be canceled for the few employees that qualified. The source told Breitbart Texas, as with previous migrant surges in the area, DHS has not put forth any solution to the massive crossings and has left the Border Patrol to deal with the monumental task of providing humanitarian care for thousands arriving daily.

The source told Breitbart Texas the move to shutter operations could not have come at a worse time. “The cartels know that we have fewer agents on patrol during the holiday season, we heighten our alert during these times to combat this,” the source explained. “With no agents on patrol inland or on the immediate border, we are inviting them to move contraband or high-value targets at will, with no threat of apprehension.”

As reported by Breitbart Texas, earlier this week, the agency shut all Border Patrol highway inspection checkpoints for the same reason. The checkpoints are a critical tier in the Border Patrol’s security strategy and serve as the last line of defense to prevent migrants and narcotics from leaving the border region. As of Saturday morning, the processing facility was nearly five times over capacity, holding 4,800 migrants in a soft-sided processing facility designed to hold 1,000.

At a temporary outdoor staging site near the Camino Real International Bridge, nearly 500 migrants still await transportation, according to the source. The source says the administration is choosing to exercise options that further decrease border security to address the surge instead of ending the widescale practice of “catch and release.”

“It boggles the mind that we are leaving the border open, not responding to migrant incursions onto private property, or stemming the flow of fentanyl simply because we can’t effectively remove migrants who we know do not qualify for asylum,” the source emphasized. Policies previously available to the Border Patrol, including the Remain in Mexico and others that stemmed the abuse of the asylum system, are no longer an option under the current administration, the source explained.

The impacts of the crossings are also felt by local communities that rely on the ports of entry for legal crossings for tourism, shopping, and employment. The highway checkpoints serve as the last line of defense for the Border Patrol to detect human smuggling and other cross-border crimes such as fentanyl smuggling. The closed stations will also not be available to respond to calls for assistance from local law enforcement miles from the border.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, the increase in crossings has frustrated local residents and city leaders who are exacerbated by the level of migrant crossings facing the small town of Eagle Pass, Texas. Mayor Rolando Salinas took to social media earlier this month to express his frustration with the surge of migrants flooding into his city. Describing the constant flow of migrants into the city as an immigration disaster, Salinas chided Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for visiting Uvalde, Texas — a city 60 miles away from the border region — but failing to visit one of the busiest migrant crossing spots in Eagle Pass during the visit.

Migrant crossings remained roughly 2,000 per day within the Del Rio Sector and peaked last week at more than 4,000 in one 24-hour period. Most of the migrants being encountered in the sector are Venezuelans, Hondurans, and Colombians, according to the source. Most arrive at the border city of Piedras Negras on freight trains and immediately cross the Rio Grande into the neighboring city of Eagle Pass. Law enforcement and military authorities on both sides of the border have remained powerless to slow or stop the crossings.

CBP Sneaks Out Report of 191K Migrant Apprehensions on Friday Before Christmas

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 191,000 migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry in November, according to a report released on the Friday afternoon before the Christmas extended weekend. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) sharply criticized the Department of Homeland Security for what he described as the late release of the numbers.

“By strategically holding the release of these numbers until the Friday before Christmas, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is unabashedly showing the full measure of his duplicity,” Chairman Green said in a written statement. “These numbers are so bad, he wants as few Americans to see them as possible.”

Border Patrol agents apprehended 191,113 migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry in November, according to the Southwest Land Border Encounters report released on Friday afternoon. The number of apprehensions is up from October’s reported 188,780 migrants bringing the total for the new FY24 to 379-893.

“December’s numbers, which will be released in January, are anticipated to be even more grim,” Green added. Unofficial reports for the first 15 days of December (approximately 121,000 migrants )show the rise in migrant apprehensions is continuing at an alarming rate, Breitbart Texas reported.

“Fortunately, next month the Secretary won’t have a major holiday as a convenient shield to hide behind,” the chairman said in reference to the release of the November report on the eve of the Christmas holiday weekend. “This cowardly quest to evade accountability and transparency is further reason my Committee is initiating impeachment proceedings against Secretary Mayorkas early in the new year. This devastating and utter disaster for our country will no longer be tolerated.”

The Tucson Sector led all others in the report which revealed the apprehension of 64,638 migrants in November. This is up 176 percent from the previous year’s reported 23,411 migrant apprehensions. It is also up from the 55,226 migrants apprehended in October, according to the CBP report. During the first 15 days of December, Tucson Sector agents apprehended another 40,000 migrants. This brings the FY24 total to nearly 160,000 migrants.

Del Rio Sector agents apprehended a reported 42,952 migrants in November. This is up from the 38,207 migrants apprehended in October. With the first 15 days of December added in, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended more than 113,000 migrants this fiscal year.
