President Joe Biden will visit the U.S. border with Mexico on Thursday to blame the GOP for his catastrophic immigration policies, according to the Associated Press.

“Biden will travel to Brownsville, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, an area that often sees large numbers of border crossings,” said the Monday report.

“He will meet with border agents and discuss the need for bipartisan legislation,” said the report.

Biden has repeatedly promised to blame the GOP for his policies since the GOP Senate caucus blocked the giveaway border bill drafted in secret by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

“I’ll be taking this issue to the country … Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends,” Biden claimed on February 7.

However, Biden, age 81, has tried to dodge the issue since his 2021 inauguration. He has left the management of his Cuba-born, pro-migration border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas. For example, the Thursday visit will be his second visit to his border.

Since 2021, Mayorkas and his deputies have deliberately admitted more than 6.2 million migrants, via a series of illegal and quasi-legal pathways. The inflow adds up to two migrants for every three American births.

The illegal inflow is in addition to the inflow of legal temporary workers and legal immigrants. The combined inflow is importing one migrant for every American birth.

This policy is extremely unpopular with voters, in part, because it imposes more civic chaos, diverts government spending away from Americans, cuts wages, shifts wealth to migrants and employers, and pushes up housing prices.

For example, 2,000 homeless Americans died in Los Angeles, Calif., in 2023 partly because the federal government is eagerly importing migrants for jobs that would otherwise go to those Americans. The U.K.’s Guardian newspaper reported on February 22:

An exclusive review of LA county medical examiner data obtained by the Guardian shows the department logged a total of 11,573 deaths of unhoused people over the last decade. Deaths have consistently increased every year.

In 2023, 2,033 people died, a staggering 291% increase from the 519 cases recorded in 2014 and an 8% increase from the 1,883 fatalities in 2022.

Biden’s migrants also include criminals who are robbing stores and pedestrians, driving while drunk, and murdering Americans.

Biden’s migration policy has deeply damaged his reelection chances, according to a February 23 report by Gallup.

Americans’ approval of President Joe Biden’s job performance has edged down three percentage points to 38%, just one point shy of his all-time low and well below the 50% threshold that has typically led to reelection for incumbents.

In addition, Biden registers subpar approval ratings for his handling of five key issues facing the U.S., including a new low of 28% for immigration and readings ranging from 30% to 40% for the situation in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas, foreign affairs, the economy and the situation in Ukraine.

“A recent Gallup poll found that the immigration issue, specifically, is the top reason those who disapprove of Biden give for why they evaluate his performance negatively,” Gallup noted.

84-Year-Old Arizona Border Rancher Plagued by Mexican Cartel Activity

Jim Chilton and his ancestors have been involved in ranching in Arizona since the late 1800s. In recent years, the aging rancher has been forced to divide his time between running a successful cattle business and keeping a watchful eye out for cartel smuggling on his remote border ranch south of Arivaca, Arizona.

Chilton sometimes finds himself helping migrants in distress and, at other times, keeping a sharp eye out for the cartel smugglers and foot guides that push hundreds or thousands of migrants and narcotics across his land.

In a recent report by the Daily Mail, Chilton can be seen patrolling the remote desert ranch armed with a carbine he carries to protect himself and his family. The area where the Chilton ranch is located is known for the crossing of hundreds of migrants monthly, where Border Patrol agents have reduced routine patrols at times due to the increase in migrant crossings elsewhere.

The ranch sits between Nogales and Lukeville, Arizona, directly across the border from the Mexican state of Sonora — known for its violent Sinaloa cartel activity. Chilton told the Daily Mail his activities on the ranch are under constant surveillance by armed cartel members equipped with scoped rifles and night vision. The smugglers, Chilton says, routinely traffic people across his ranch into the United States.

Chilton says his dealings with the cartel have worsened over the last three years, but the illicit activity is nothing new to the seasoned cattle rancher. In 2018, nearly eight years ago, Chilton sat with the late Penny Starr, a Breitbart News reporter, to discuss what living on the ranch in the remote border area was like.

In her report for Breitbart News, Starr accompanied Chilton on a tour of the ranch as they discussed his experiences dealing with cartel operatives seeking to move migrants and narcotics into the United States. “Most of our ranch is occupied by the Sinaloa Cartel,” Chilton told Starr, referring to one of the most violent cartels operating in the region.

Chilton was dealing with similar cartel activities at that time, which have only worsened over the years.  Chilton told Breitbart News the cartel members were not only bringing drugs, weapons, and people across the border but the cartel scouts were also positioned on mountaintops to monitor for the presence of Border Patrol agents.

The level of migrant crossings in the area has spiked in recent months as efforts underway in Mexico have reduced the migrant flow farther east in Texas by up to 60% in some areas. The efforts in Mexico, mainly concentrated on removing migrants from freight train routes known as “La Bestia” or the beast, have little impact on the western states of Arizona and California. The increase in migrant crossings in Arizona may be a sign Chilton’s battle with the cartel is far from over.

A source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, not authorized to speak to the media, told Breitbart Texas migrant apprehensions in the area have increased by nearly 120 percent during February as compared to the same time frame last year. In the first three weeks of the month, more than 33,000 migrants have been apprehended by the Border Patrol compared to slightly more than 15,000 during the first three weeks of February 2023.

Since the new fiscal year began in October, more than 284,000 migrants entered in and around Chilton’s ranch in the Tucson Sector. This total marks a 173 percent increase compared to last year’s total of 105,000 for the same time frame.

The source told Breitbart Texas “Thousands of migrants are willingly surrendering near Lukeville and San Miguel, dealing with that humanitarian situation keeps us from actively patrolling other areas like the Chilton Ranch where migrants are not surrendering and instead are hoping to completely avoid apprehension.”

Mexico’s President has once again criticized the U.S. government over alleged investigations into his administration’s ties to drug cartels.

During his morning news conference, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said the U.S. government must answer why they were investigating his administration since Mexico is a sovereign country. The demands come as Lopez Obrador displayed a series of questions sent by reporters from the New York Times. The reporters claimed to have various unnamed sources providing them with information about a now-closed investigation into AMLO and his victorious 2018 presidential bid that allegedly had cartel funding.

The story surfaced just weeks after various outlets published stories based on another closed investigation where various witnesses pointed to the Mexican politician having taken money from drug cartels for his failed 2006 presidential bid, Breitbart Texas reported at the time.

During his conference, Lopez Obrador read the email that the Times sent to his spokesman. The Mexican president even shared the author’s cell phone number, which caused some controversy in Mexico.

In the emailed questions, the reporter asked about meetings of Lopez Obrador’s trusted men with the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, Ismael “El Mayo Zambada. They also asked about a payment of $4 million from a top leader of Los Zetas in exchange for negotiating his freedom. Another question asked for a response to claims by cartel members of having videos that show AMLO’s children collecting cash from cartel leaders.

The Mexican politician denied the allegations, demanding proof, and claimed that the U.S. outlet was working against him. The topic of cartel financing has garnered much attention in recent weeks as Mexico gets closer to the summer 2024 presidential elections. One of the top topics deals with the worsening cartel violence due to Lopez Obrador’s refusal to fight against drug cartels, claiming to focus on social programs instead — an approach called Abrazos No Balazos. However, the politician’s rivals have publicly accused him of protecting drug cartels for profit.

The New York Times called out Lopez Obrador’s response to the questions in the article and for having leaked the cell phone of their journalist in one of the deadliest countries for news workers in the world.

On Friday morning, Lopez Obrador pushed back, claiming that foreign journalists needed to keep their attitude in check.
