But it is different, with millions of dollars changing hands and U.S. influence waning significantly. If this isn't dealt with in Congress, the stage will be set for any elected leader to do the same. Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’s investigative work at the New York Post on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” also captured international headlines when she, along with Miranda Devine, revealed that Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter’s businesses, appearing to even have a 10 percent stake in a company the scion formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.

Hunter has reportedly sold five paintings worth $75,000 each to an anonymous buyer. Hunter’s art dealer, Georges Bergès, has previously boasted he had strong ties to businessmen in Communist China, which has concerned many due to the Biden family’s business ventures abroad.
“We are 95% sure that that artwork went to China,” Comer said. “We don’t know where exactly that went to in China, but we’re going to try to find out when we get subpoena power.”

‘60 Minutes’ 13-Minute Segment on Surge of Chinese Illegals Spends Zero Seconds on the Threat
On Sunday, “60 Minutes” reported that Chinese nationals are the “fastest-growing group” of illegal immigrants into the U.S. But, without devoting a single second to the threat posed by the illegal arrivals from a hostile communist regime, it blamed “tensions” with the U.S. for making it more difficult to enter legally.
The segment features Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi reporting from a popular gap in the California border, through which illegal aliens are able to easily enter the country without confrontation.
Not once in her 13-minute segment does Alfonsi mention the possibility that any of the illegal immigrants from Communist China may be seeking to do us harm. Instead, she fawns over the Chinese nationals illegally breaking into the U.S., portraying them as “middle-class” bankers, business owners and job-seekers pursuing “freedom.”
“Oh, my goodness,” Alfonsi exclaimed, when one of the Chinese illegals said she was a teacher.
“Many of the migrants told us they made the journey to escape China's increasingly repressive political climate and sluggish economy,” Alfonsi said.
One reason the Chinese are entering the U.S. illegally is that the U.S. is granting fewer visas, due to “tensions between the two countries,” Alfonsi says – failing to mention that the U.S. has tightened its visa policy in an effort to protect itself from the growing threat of Chinese spying, hacking, fentanyl facilitation, etc.:
“For years, millions of Chinese entered the U.S. with a visa that allowed them to visit, work, or study.
“But, in the last few years, those visas have been increasingly difficult to secure, as tensions between the two countries have grown.
“In 2016, the U.S. granted 2.2 million temporary visas to Chinese nationals. In 2022, it was just 160,000.”
It’s easier to simply enter the U.S. illegally, especially since Chinese nationals are three times more likely to be granted asylum, than are illegal immigrants from other countries, Alfonsi said:
“According to the Department of Justice, last year, 55% of Chinese migrants were granted asylum, compared to 14% for every other nationality. With the odds in their favor and a phone to guide them, there's little to discourage more Chinese migrants from coming through the gap near Jerry Schuster's place.”
And, even if they’re apprehended trying to break into the U.S, the Chinese nationals will be back on the streets within 72 hours, Alfonsi noted:
“Typically, within 72 hours, they are released into the United States and can begin the process of filing an asylum claim.”
“What do some migrants do after being released by border patrol? They call an Uber and they're gone,” the segment ended, teasing another immigration story.
Biden Business Associate: CCP-Linked Company Met Joe Biden and Paid $3M After He Left Vice Presidency
CEFC China Energy Co., a Chinese energy company linked to the CCP, met with President Joe Biden and paid the Biden family business $3 million in 2017, Biden associate Rob Walker told the House Oversight Committee on Friday.
The timing of the payments raises suspicion about whether or not the payments were delayed to obscure Joe Biden as the “brand” the business sold to received millions. The Bidens earned tens of millions of dollars from foreign business deals for which “Hunter offered no real work,” according to Breitbart News Senior Contributor Peter Schweizer.

White HouseWalker, who described himself as “acting as a surrogate for H[unter] around the country and abroad pursuing opportunities,” said CEFC paid the Biden family business $3 million after Joe Biden left the vice presidency in 2017, delaying payment for more than a year until Joe Biden became a private citizen.
In addition, Walker told the committee the now-missing chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming, met with Joe Biden in 2017. The meeting occurred at the Washington, DC, Four Seasons hotel and included about ten others, according to an FBI interview recently released by the House Ways and Means Committee.
Through Walker, the Biden family business received a $3 million wire transfer and subsequent payments from CEFC between 2015 and 2017, the Oversight Committee revealed in March from Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and subpoenaed records from Bank of America.

“The Chinese company paid Hunter Biden and his associates $3 million shortly after Joe Biden left office as a ‘thank you’ for the work they did while Joe Biden was in office,” the Oversight Committee stated Friday. “Members of the Biden family received payments from the Chinese deal even though they did not work on it. This is the type of swampy influence peddling the American people want us to end.”
Walker claimed during his Friday deposition that Joe Biden “was never involved in any of the business activities.” However, as Miranda Devine pointed out, “[o]f course Joe Biden wasn’t ‘involved’ in the business. But he was the reason the business existed.”

“He was the product being sold. He was the ‘brand’. And he frequently made himself — and Air Force 2 — available for marketing purposes while VP,” she posted on X.
The $3 million from CEFC through Walker is linked to the $40,000 that Joe Biden received in 2017 from the account of his brother, James Biden, and sister-in-law, Sara Biden, in the form of a personal check labeled as a “loan repayment,” Breitbart News reported in November. The $40,000 money trail began on July 30, 2017, when Hunter Biden demanded a $10 million payment from CEFC associate Raymond Zhao, with his dad sitting next to him, Hunter Biden said via text message.

That $40,000 check is the second instance Joe Biden personally accepted a suspicious personal check from his brother James Biden, according to the Oversight Committee. The discovery of the checks justified concerns that the Biden business compromised Joe Biden. It lends further credence to the impeachment inquiry into the president.
House investigators launched a probe into the Biden family in 2022. They revealed Joe Biden received money from James Biden and Hunter Biden. They also showed that nine additional Biden family members received payments from the family’s foreign business ventures, including two of Joe Biden’s grandchildren.
Joe Biden denied any involvement in Biden family business ventures at least nine times.
