President Joe Biden’s approval rating is deep underwater on what Americans rated as their top two issues in an Economist/YouGov poll.

The poll, published on Wednesday, asked 1,651 U.S. adult respondents to pick the most important issue for them seven months away from the election. The top response was inflation or prices at 24 percent, while the second most popular choice was immigration at 14 percent.

Moreover, 97 percent of all respondents tabbed inflation as “important,” with 77 percent saying it is “very important.” Similarly, 85 percent consider immigration an “important” issue, including 56 percent who see it as “very important.”

But Biden’s approval ratings on these fronts are more than 30-points underwater. Only 29 percent approve of his handling of inflation and prices, while 62 percent disapprove of his performance, including 49 percent who “strongly” disapprove.

The margin is even worse for Biden among independents. Only 17 percent approve of how Biden has approached inflation versus 72 percent who disapprove.

Biden owns a similar 29 percent approval rating on immigration, with a strong majority of 61 percent disapproving of his performance in this department. He has major problems with independents here as well, with just 17 percent giving him positive marks and 69 percent giving him negative ones.

This poll shows the president’s overall approval rating at 36 percent, with 59 percent giving him negative grades.

In a general sense, a plurality of respondents (44 percent) said the state of the economy is poor, while 29 percent rated it as “fair.” Only 24 percent said it was either “excellent” (5 percent) or “good” (19 percent).

A majority of 55 percent believe the economy is worsening, 23 percent say it is staying the same, and 18 percent believe it is on the upswing.

What is more, a plurality of 44 percent of Americans, including 50 percent of independents, say they are worse off financially compared to a year ago, while 40 percent say their finances are “about the same.” Just 13 percent report being better off financially than they were a year ago, including only 9 percent of independents.

The poll further found that those who plan to vote for former President Donald Trump are more enthusiastic than those who plan to back Biden, as Breitbart News’s Hannah Knudsen noted.

The poll sampled 1,651 U.S. adults from April 21-23, and the margin of error is ± 3.3 percentage points.

Watch: ‘The Daily Show’ Mocks Biden’s ‘Cannibals’ Story — ‘You’re Going to Lose the Election’

Comedy Central’s The Daily Show took aim at President Joe Biden on Tuesday, ridiculing the commander in chief for telling a bizarre story in which he claimed his uncle was eaten by cannibals.

The Daily Show co-hosts Jordan Klepper and Ronny Chien devoted an extended segment on Tuesday’s episode to Biden’s recent speech to the United Steelworkers Union in Pittsburgh. In his speech, Biden claimed that his uncle, Ambrose Finnegan, was shot down near Papua New Guinea during World War II and that his body was never recovered because “there were a lot of cannibals” in New Guinea at the time.

Even left-wing news outlets including New York magazine and the Associated Press have cast doubt on Biden’s tale.

The Daily Show co-hosts were even more unimpressed.

“You’re going to lose the election,” Chieng said to Biden.

Watch below:

“Look, at some point, we all get to an age when we confuse our own life story with the plot of Indiana Jones,” Klepper said.

The jokes continued.  “Would a cannibal even eat people out of a wreckage? I mean, that’s like their version of eating roadkill,” Klepper added.

He later joked: “Biden apologized to the Papua New Guinea prime minister by inviting him to a dinner with Pete Buttigieg — who will be served over rice with balsamic reductions.”

Concerns over 81-year-old Biden’s cognitive decline are roiling Democrats as the president faces record-low popularity.

As Breitbart News reported, a recent Economist/YouGov  survey found that Overall, 59 percent of those surveyed disapprove of how Biden is handling his job as president, compared to 37 percent who approve.

A recent New York Times/Siena College poll found that a whopping 73  percent of registered voters believe Biden is too old to be an effective president.

Joe Biden is a lucky bungler. NO, JOE IS MERELY ONE MORE DEM PARTY SOCIOPATH GAMER LAWYER WITH NO MORAL OR ETHICAL COMPASS.

U.S. hands over $110m base to Niger junta to release 1,000 U.S. Army hostages, watches helplessly as base goes to Russia

Joe Biden is a lucky bungler.

With no Fox News cameras around and nobody paying much attention to what was going on in Niger, a disgraceful, utterly humiliating exit of the U.S. military from that benighted country now led by a military junta, has dealt the U.S. another strategic blow, and entirely preventably. The crummy little tinpot junta now running Niger has managed to kick Uncle Sam around, much as the Taliban and Iran did, creating an accumulating pattern of lost U.S. influence. And sure enough, they got us good, because Joe Biden let them.

According to the New York Times:

More than 1,000 American military personnel will leave Niger in the coming months, Biden administration officials said on Friday, upending U.S. counterterrorism and security policy in the tumultuous Sahel region of Africa.

In the second of two meetings this week in Washington, Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell told Niger’s prime minister, Ali Lamine Zeine, that the United States disagreed with the country’s turn toward Russia for security and Iran for a possible deal on its uranium reserves, and the failure of Niger’s military government to map out a path to return to democracy, according to a senior State Department official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss diplomatic talks.

The decision was not a particular surprise. Niger said last month that it was revoking its military cooperation deal with the United States following a highly contentious set of meetings in Niger’s capital, Niamey, with a high-level American diplomatic and military delegation.

The base was a critical node in the U.S. war on al-Qaida, ISIS, and all their evil little allies operating terrorist operations from the northern African region. Niger had been the U.S.'s bigfoot footprint in that region and its value was incalculable.

With that the baseline reality, some of the self-righteous karens at the State Department decided that now was just the time to lecture and hector Niger's mirrored-sunglass coup leaders about 'democracy,' as if that place ever had any idea about the concept.

The coup leaders didn't take it well, and ordered the U.S. out. To make matters worse, they held 1,000 U.S. servicemen hostage in the desert without water or food for weeks, as the U.S. attempted to hold on, until this past week when the U.S. agreed to fork over the brand-new state-of-art U.S. $110 million military base there just so we could get our servicemembers out. And to make it worse, they decided to hand it over to Russia.

The Times also notes that on Niger's famous yellowcake front, they've decided to give access to that to Iran, which has lots of money from President Obama's and Joe Biden's release of impounded Iranian cash along with big nuclear ambitions. Niger's coup leaders would probably like a slice of that for themselves, and the uranium they exchange it for will supply the missing magic to advance Iran's evil plans.

Who the heck was behind this disaster, who couldn't figure out that hot-from-a-coup coup leaders preening in their military uniforms might just take a 'democracy' diktat pretty badly? Who got into the screaming match instead of treated these characters with kid gloves as a national security matter? Who failed to forecast that they'd react the way they did?

And aside from the huge loss of military presence and the expensive base in the desert, now to be enjoyed by Russians expanding their footprint to west Africa, who is responsible for this horrific loss of U.S. influence? This roughly creates a second stepping stone of influence for Russia, which got the first lilypad in in Syria, when Obama drew his red line and turned tail, while this gives them a second base of influence. Advantage: Russia. Disadvantage: The U.S.

And how very embarrassing that they achieved their aim of taking the U.S. base through holding U.S. troops effectively hostage? Jim Hoft at GatewayPundit has lots more links and background about this disgraceful Biden special, which has become a feature, not a bug, of his foreign policy.

While few in the U.S. pay much attention to Niger, you can bet our enemies do, as well as most educated European audiences, who aren't that far from the place anyway.  They see the humiliation, they readjust their expectations, and Biden just hopes nobody in the voting public in the states notices.

Well, we've noticed, because we've seen this show before. It's time to throw the whole Biden crew out come November, because if we don't, there will be much more like this to come, as U.S. influence on the global stage shrinks down to nothing and our capacity to fight terrorism will be nil.

Peter Schweizer: Congressional Report Validates ‘Blood Money’ Findings

A new report by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has validated a key claim in Peter Schweizer’s latest book, Blood Money – finding persuasive evidence that China has been subsidizing the manufacturing and exporting of illicit fentanyl precursor chemicals and other synthetic narcotics through tax rebates and other means.

Schweizer welcomed the validation of his book’s central theme –that Communist China is at war with the United States, poisoning American youth with fentanyl, American minds with TikTok, American streets with automatic weapons, and American health with engineered viruses like COVID-19. But in the most recent episode of The Drill Down podcast, Peter and co-host Eric Eggers note that the report doesn’t go far enough. Schweizer calls the Chinese policy “state-sponsored poisoning.”

Specifically, the congressional report does not address the many other ways that the communist Chinese are enabling and facilitating the fentanyl trade, which now kills more Americans every year than automobile accidents. The Chinese provide the chemicals, control the Mexican port of Manzanillo where those chemicals are shipped, control the manufacture of fentanyl powder, provide at cost the pill presses needed to turn it into counterfeit medication, facilitate the Mexican cartels’ secure communications, and launder the money they make through Chinese banks.

“A joint DEA and State Department investigation found that 1,000 Chinese students in the US deposited $1 billion worth of money into Chinese-owned banks while in the country,” Schweizer notes.

Despite these facts, action by the administration of President Joe Biden has been missing. Biden says he has “raised” the issue in conversations with Chinese president Xi Jinping, but the Chinese officially claim “the fentanyl crisis is not caused by the Chinese side,” according to a spokesman.

Campaigning for re-election in Pennsylvania, Biden told steel workers there he was considering tripling the tariffs on Chinese steel. But nothing is being done by the Biden administration to address the fentanyl threat from China, Schweizer says. “It’s an example of the Chinese expression, ‘Big help with a little bad mouth.’”

He points out that Biden has raised other issues directly with Xi Jinping, especially warning that the Chinese should not ship weapons to Russia for use in its invasion of Ukraine. “But why is he more concerned about that than about Chinese chemical weapons killing Americans?” Schweizer asks.

Since Blood Money debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list two months ago, there has been notable progress on Capitol Hill in addressing the Chinese threat to America. The House passed a ban on TikTok, congressional committees have begun investigations into Chinese collusion in the fentanyl trade, and more members of Congress are openly citing that threat as a major issue. Without co-operation and help from the Biden administration, however, little is being done to combat these threats.

GAI will continue to highlight the factual research that went into Blood Money, because, as co-host Eric Eggers put it, “Opinions get shrugs, but facts get shares.”

Poll: Only 21% of Voters ‘Strongly’ Approve of Biden, 49% ‘Strongly’ Disapprove

Only 21 percent of voters “strongly” approved of President Joe Biden, while 49 percent “strongly” disapproved, a recent Rasmussen poll found, raising reelection concerns for the president.

Overall, the poll found a 20 point differential between voters who approved of Biden and those who did not:

  • 39 percent approved
  • 59 percent disapproved

Biden’s presidential approval index rating is -28 points (49 percent – 21 percent), the lowest rating since July 2022 (-29).

Throughout the summer of 2022 gas prices and inflation soared. While the rate of inflation decreased in 2024, costs continue to steadily climb and experts predict costs will not return to pre-Biden era norms. Today, a Big Mac burger, a medium beverage, and a medium fry meal cost 18 dollars in some locations, up $10 from 2018 when former President Donald Trump was president.

Biden began his presidency with a -2 presidential approval index rating, 26 points better than nearly three years later.

His rating remained relatively flat until the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal that killed 13 U.S. troops. It continued to remain in the high 20s and low 30s until 2022 when Biden lifted many of the draconian coronavirus restrictions. It dropped to the teens for much of 2023 until October 7.

Biden’s declining numbers in 2024 are related to his handling of Middle East unrest and the anti-Israel protestors increased displeasure with the president. Biden’s political base opposes supporting Israel against Hamas, but the president continues to green-light funding and arms sales to Israel.

“What’s going on at the college level and the colleges Columbia, NYU, and others is a disgrace. And it’s really on Biden. He has the wrong signal,” Trump told reporters Tuesday. “He’s got the wrong words. He doesn’t know who he’s backing, and it’s a mess.”

“It’s all Biden’s fault,” Trump said. “He’s got no message. He’s got no compassion. He doesn’t know what he’s doing … He can’t put two sentences together, frankly. He is the worst president in the history of our country.”

The poll sampled 300 likely voters on a rolling basis per night with 2.5 point margin of error.
