In March 2021, Biden signed an executive order titled “Promoting Access to Voting,” which he billed as a “nonpartisan” government-wide effort to “expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process.”

Two months after the order was signed, the Biden administration held a “Listening Session” with several NGOs — all of which identified with the Democrat party or left-wing policy initiatives, according to an analysis from the Oversight Project.

Likewise, the Oversight Project obtained unredacted notes from the Listening Session which revealed a heavy focus on registering convicts to vote.

In one particular note, an official with the Sentencing Project mentioned the importance of having the Bureau of Prisons notify “newly eligible voters of their right to vote.” That official also suggested that “felony disenfranchisement is voter suppression.”

Another official with the Campaign Legal Center said they want to see the Bureau of Prisons implement a voter registration system that informs convicts of their right to vote after they are released from prison.

Other notes from the Listening Session focused on making it easier for immigrants, presumably newly naturalized citizens, to get onto the nation’s voter rolls.

An official with MALDEF said, “Immigrants and noncitizens — we support voter registration efforts. We want to make sure that they are done in a careful way. All [federal] employees must be trained in this. Need to trust people are acting in bounds of the law. Especially when there are language issues.”

Another official with Asian Americans Advancing Justice said “voter registration info” should be “mandatory at naturalization ceremonies” and the government’s official website for voter registration should be translated into many languages.

In its memo, executives with the Oversight Project called Biden’s executive order “a partisan voter mobilization effort” that seeks to “influence the outcome of future elections through the use of federal resources, infrastructure, and reach.”

Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”
KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1324, the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015.

This law has been on the books in some form for over 130 years, and numerous federal courts have upheld convictions based on §1324. Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc. and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet) is a federal judge on the very Ninth Circuit Court from which he drew this opinion. Judge Mary Murguia once recused herself from a trial involving pro-enforcement Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of her sister’s leadership of La Raza. Carlos should have done the same thing this week in this case, which involves a law that directly conflicts with the work with the open-borders groups his family is associated with.
Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM.
This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.
The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!
The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.
Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” (United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999).) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”
So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.
The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law. We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?
Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy.
Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem. The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

Joe Biden plots to import Gaza's 'refugees'

Joe Biden is running for re-election and behind in the polls.

He's desperate to satisfy his 'death to America' base in places like Dearborn and at campus protests.

So now he's come up with a new sweetener to bring those voters back.

Importing Gaza "refugees," despite the war being, from the Hamas perspective about establishing a 'homeland' and taking over Israel, too. You don't move away from a 'homeland' if that's what you're 'fighting' for.

According to CBS News:

The Biden administration is considering bringing certain Palestinians to the U.S. as refugees, a move that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of those fleeing war-torn Gaza, according to internal federal government documents obtained by CBS News.
In recent weeks, the documents show, senior officials across several federal U.S. agencies have discussed the practicality of different options to resettle Palestinians from Gaza who have immediate family members who are American citizens or permanent residents.
One of those proposals involves using the decades-old United States Refugee Admissions Program to welcome Palestinians with U.S. ties who have managed to escape Gaza and enter neighboring Egypt, according to the inter-agency planning documents.
Top U.S. officials have also discussed getting additional Palestinians out of Gaza and processing them as refugees if they have American relatives, the documents show. The plans would require coordination with Egypt, which has so far refused to welcome large numbers of people from Gaza.
Those who pass a series of eligibility, medical and security screenings would qualify to fly to the U.S. with refugee status, which offers beneficiaries permanent residency, resettlement benefits like housing assistance and a path to American citizenship.

So fighting the war to stay in Gaza isn't quite as nice as a big, free, benefit package, and a life on the public dime over in the U.S. instead. Never mind that Hamas, which started the war with Israel, nominally did so to establish a homeland for Palestinians and screams loudly about 'forced relocation,' which plenty of people in Israel, understandably enough, would like to see done. Who needs a homeland when you've got Omrika, handed out free of charge? Maybe you can fly back and forth, paid for with U.S. funds, and fist-wave against the U.S. in both countries.

And maybe Biden should explain why the U.S., which is a prime terrorist target, is importing in people that every other Arab countries refuses to allow in? We know what the issue is there -- they don't want terrorist nesting grounds established with an imported coterie of 'refugees' from Gaza.

Because the big problem with importing Gaza refugees is how to separate them from the hate-Israel and hate-America ideology that they've been steeped in since birth. How many of these so-called refugees danced at the monstrous massacre of Israeli civilians in their homes or dancing at a music festival on October 7? Based on the photos seen, it was thousands of them. And that's not surprising, because they also willingly elected Hamas to be their leaders.

Oh, sure, the Biden camp leaking to CBS News says that they'll be processed with "security screenings." We all know how well those go, starting with the thousands of 'refugees' Biden imported from Afghanistan, based on their willingness to push, shove, knock down and trample women, children, elderly, and sick people waiting in line, and never mind about the military translators, who got left behind. Recent revelations show that many of this bunch had no identification cards or were on terrorist watchlists. Biden let them all in and now nobody knows where they are. That's some 'screening.'

Gaza, where Hamas controls everything, will be just as bad. Just as Hamas controls all the food in the country, feeding its fat, doughy "fighters" with the 'aid' while leaving women and children to starve or serve as human shields for propaganda purposes, so it will control who gets to be a refugee.

How useful does anyone think it will be for Hamas to get a nest of operatives into the states for an encore of October 7 against the Great Satan Himself? And if not that, how useful would it be for Hamas to get a "community" of October 7 dancers, not waving their gun-guns, but electing a member of Congress to throw their weight around, much as America-hating migrants such as Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib already do? One, two, many, Omars in Congress, sounds very much like an idea Hamas could embrace.

Sure, Biden says the only ones they'll let in are those with 'ties' to the states. That doesn't screen at all for Hamas supporters, given the kind of migrants we know are already here. What's more, to import refugees legitimately, and I don't anticipate they'll follow the rules on this, CBS notes that the law is as follows:

To qualify to enter the U.S. as a refugee, applicants have to prove they are fleeing persecution based on certain factors, such as their nationality, religion or political views.

Israel is going only after Hamas and trying to spare civilian casualties, so item one, on the 'nationality' factor is out. Same with 'religion.' Item three is about 'political views.' What kind of political views are these people likely to have that engenders "persecution" from Israel? That's right, pro-Hamas views. This looks like Joe Biden's plan to 'save Hamas' more than anything else, by bringing them over here.

With the border already overrun by all comers, this importation of hostile, anti-American 'refugees' with a full free ride from Uncle Sam and a pathway to citizenship can only be a plot to import more America-haters in a bid to influence elections.

If this isn't an outrageous idea well worth fighting, what is? The lawsuits should be fast, thick and heavy on this, if there's is one thing America doesn't need, it's people who celebrate and abet terrorists of the most heinous kind.

The April pronouncements of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at Stanford University have sparked a crucial discourse about the ramifications of mass immigration on the American economy. Powell's observations emphasized the significant role of immigrants, particularly within lower-paying sectors of the labor market, prompting economists to hastily reconsider their projections.

The forecasts presented by the Congressional Budget Office (C.B.O.) paint a stark panorama: an astounding 3.3 million individuals entered the United States in 2023 alone, with similar figures anticipated for 2024.

Instead of acknowledging the harm wrought by unchecked immigration, policymakers and commentators persist in extolling its alleged benefits while turning a blind eye to its adverse impacts on American workers and communities.

Consider the predicament of New York City, where Mayor Eric Adams has beseeched for federal aid to manage the surge of illegal aliens. Such pleas merely skim the surface of the deeper issues arising from misguided immigration policies and porosity at the borders.

Furthermore, the discourse on mass immigration conveniently sidesteps the crucial question of assimilation and self-sufficiency. While proponents of mass immigration laud its role in propelling economic expansion, they ignore its stifling effect on innovation and sustained productivity. Enterprises drawn to low-cost labor are disinclined to invest in technology and automation, perpetuating a cycle of stagnation and dependence.

Policies aimed at artificially boosting wages, such as California's $20 minimum wage mandate, exacerbate the issue by curtailing working hours and eliminating jobs. The influx of immigrant workers, concentrated in low-skilled sectors, further undermines the prospects of American workers striving to make ends meet.

Yet, perhaps the most damning indictment of mass immigration lies in its unintended repercussions, transcending the economic domain. The reliance on immigrant labor fosters social maladies ranging from criminality and social alienation to drug overdoses and economic despondency.

Contrary to grand assertions, the data paints a stark picture of native-born Americans being marginalized in their own nation's labor market. While immigrants secure a disproportionate share of employment opportunities, native employment continues to dwindle, imperiling the economic prospects of millions of hardworking Americans.

As America confronts the aftermath of misguided immigration policies, it is imperative to confront reality. Denial of the adverse effects of mass immigration only perpetuates the cycle of decline, relegating the American dream to a remote ideal for those who merit better.

Looking away from the mainstream media's rabid rantings, one finds sobering insights into the multifaceted impact of immigration on the American economy and society, challenging prevalent narratives and advocating for a reevaluation of immigration policies.

This paves the way for a broader examination of America's societal challenges, offering avenues towards a more harmonious and prosperous future.

The alternative borders on the unthinkable. Needless to say, America is the victim of this policy, as has been the case for some time.

Indeed, the country's litany of pressing problems, which grow more severe without hesitation, can be traced back to immigration blunders. America itself stands, a house divided, as a cautionary tale about what happens when immigrants do not leave a land better than when they found it. After all, a nation is only as promising as its people.

If America is truly to be made great again, then bold actions, not idle words, are required to produce something in the way of a national turnaround. This cannot happen, under any circumstances, if the grim reality of Uncle Sam's immigration policy goes ignored.

Short of coming to terms with America's immigration madness, plans for a countrywide renewal are nothing short of conversations with imaginary friends.

One day, all of America might become something like New York City, which grapples with the influx of illegal aliens, while pathetically pleading for federal assistance. Of course, these humiliating stretches of the hand outward merely scratch the surface of the deeper issues—each stemming from porous borders and misguided immigration policies.

The failure to address the fundamental questions of assimilation and self-sufficiency further compounds the immigration problem. American workers grow sidelined in their own country's labor market, simultaneously finding themselves strangers in an ever-stranger land.

The cause of mass immigration, bolstered by legal and illegal aliens alike, is championed by homegrown proponents who turn a blind eye to its deleterious effects. They perpetuate a cycle of decline that erodes the very foundations of the American dream.

When that dream is completely dead, desperation sets in, and the consequences of that are certain to be horrifying.
