Two undocumented immigrants from El Salvador slated for deportation have been charged with repeatedly raping a friend's 11-year-old sister in Maryland.
Mauricio Barrera-Navidad, 29, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, have been arrested by the Montgomery County Police on second-degree rape counts.
The allegations against the two migrants living in Maryland illegally for years came to light last month, after the alleged victim, now aged 12, told a social worker at her middle school in Germantown about what had happened.

According to court documents obtained by WJLA, Barrera-Navidad and Palacios-Amaya sexually assaulted the child on separate occasions between July and October 2018.
The girl met the suspects through her older brother, who is a friend of Palacios-Amaya.
The 28-year-old is suspected of raping the child four times, including orally, vaginally and anally, and recording one of the attacks on his cellphone, according to the documents.
The child confided in the social worker that Palacios-Amaya would convince her to skip school so he could stay home with her while her parents were away.
Barrera-Navidad is accused of raping the 11-year-old on one occasion during her older brother's birthday party in July 2018, which was held at a mobile home park in Germantown.

Barrera-Navidad has four children of his own, works construction and lives in Damascus, Maryland.
According to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in December 2016 he was ordered to leave the US, but apparently he continued living in Maryland illegally.
Palacios-Amaya was deported to El Salvador in 2014, but at some point he slipped back into the US and settled in Gaithersburg. ICE referred to him in a press release as a 'repeat immigration violator.'
Following the pair’s arrests in July, ICE lodged immigration detainers against both men.
Detainers are requests to local law enforcement to hold a person for up to two days so ICE can take over custody for removal, the agency said in its statement.
Barrera-Navidad, who faces a single count of rape, had his bond set at $100,000.
Palacios-Amaya, who has been charged with four rape counts, was ordered jailed without bond.
