Bumbling Biden blows border badly
A huge and totally unnecessary crisis is being created at the Us-Mexican border, with profound human suffering and the possibility of reigniting the spread of Covid. You can thank President Biden, or his handlers, for wrecking a perfectly good arrangement, carefully constructed by President Trump, that protected Americans from the human waves of border violators that overwhelmed the Obama administration.
Thanks to Mexico acting like a Good Neighbor – after considerable persuasion by President Trump – the foreign invaders, including those from nations south and east of Mexico, were mostly intercepted before they got a chance to attempt an illegal entry. Thanks to the completely sensible policy of requiring those who claimed asylum to wait in Mexico while those claims were adjudicated, the formerly huge problem of people disappearing into the US Interior and unable to be expelled when their claims were found to be bogus completely disappeared. And as word went out that it was no longer easy to sneak in or openly come in claiming refugee status and melt away, fewer people decided to attempt to defraud our border protections.
All of those well-functioning solutions have been discarded, and as a result, human suffering on the part of border violators has escalated, and continues to grow.
The Biden administration reportedly expects an unprecedented surge of unaccompanied migrant children showing up on the southern border in hopes of being admitted into the United States during its first year.
Border officials anticipate 117,000 children will arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border without a parent or guardian in 2021, according to a White House domestic policy council document to be shared with President Biden this afternoon, which Axios reported Tuesday. The number is higher than the 68,000 taken into custody during the 2014 surge of solo children and the 80,000 who arrived during the 2019 humanitarian crisis at the border.
Each of these children is a human tragedy. The media will no longer use expressions like “ripped apart from their families” or “confined in cages” even as some of the very same facilities used under Trump are used to house them, but the unhappy situation is the same. Some of these children will have been abused by the coyotes whose business has been revived by Biden. Each and every one of them will become a burden on US taxpayers, who will bear the cost of schooling, housing, feeding, and caring for them medically.
After Americans have borne a gigantic cost – in the multi-trillions -- in locking down the economy to slow the spread of Covid, a new population of people who have not been screened or treated for the disease is being spread throughout the United States. Biden has slurred the governors of Texas and Mississippi as “Neanderthals” (less than humans) for ending their largely ineffective mask mandates, but is himself guilty of far more reckless behavior, seeding America with a wave of Typhoid Marys, carrying Covid into the United States.

The Biden Admin. must IMMEDIATELY end this callous act that exposes Texans & Americans to COVID.
These people at the border (who paid for those t-shirts?) know who has wrecked border security and who will spend our tax money to help them once they get in.

Trump’s DHS Leaders Slam Biden’s Welcome for Coronavirus Migrants
President Joe Biden’s progressive deputies are inviting migrants with the coronavirus through the nation’s borders, so helping to spread the epidemic and boosting healthcare costs, says a statement from five of President Donald Trump’s border-agency leaders.
“The Biden administration is actively importing coronavirus cases into our country as Americans work to get back on their feet,” said the five leaders who are now working at the Heritage Foundation.
“Our leaders should be focused on re-opening our businesses and schools in a way that protects American lives and livelihoods [but] the Biden administration is prioritizing illegal aliens entering the country over the safety and welfare of American citizens,” said the former officials.
The officials are Chad Wolf, the former acting secretary at the Department of Homeland Security; Ken Cuccinelli, the former acting assistant secretary at DHS; and Mark Morgan, the acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency. They were joined by James Carafano, a former DHS advisor, and Lora Ries, a former chief of staff at the agency.
Their statement continued:
A recent report found that illegal aliens released into the country subsequently tested positive for COVID-19 after their release. Make no mistake: this will not be the last time.
Through its misguided and deliberate actions, the Biden administration is actively importing coronavirus cases into our country as Americans work to get back on their feet. For the past year, we have been prevented from going to school, to work or to our places of worship. We have been told we risk fines or jail time if we gather with friends. But illegal aliens are immediately given access to our country and its many benefits, even though we know many are carrying the virus. These imported cases will reverse the trend of falling infections and hospitalizations, and put further strain on our health system. And of course, American taxpayers will foot the bill for illegal aliens’ care.
The reinstatement of ‘catch and release,’ in which illegal aliens are detained and then quickly released into the country to await their court hearing – which most do not show up for – is not only bad immigration policy, but disastrous public health policy.” On Monday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas misled the American people when he denied the obvious security crisis at the border. Now we know the administration has a public health crisis on its hands, as well.
A March 2 report by NBC News on Tuesday confirmed that border crossers are testing positive for the coronavirus after being released by DHS officials into the U.S. interior:
Miriam Izaguirre, a 35-year-old asylum-seeker from Honduras, crossed the Rio Grande at dawn Monday with her young son and turned herself in to the authorities.
A few hours later she was released, and the first thing she did was take a rapid test for Covid-19 at the Brownsville bus station. They told her her test came out positive.
…
Several of the asylum-seekers who tested positive told Noticias Telemundo Investiga they were planning to leave Brownsville for their destinations; one of them bought a bus ticket for the journey. Eva Orellana, 29, who is from Honduras and who tested positive, said she was going to take the bus to North Carolina with her 3-year-old daughter. “On the way, we were wearing a mask all the time, gel, washing our hands,” she said. “Really, I don’t feel anything.”
The New York Post reported March 3:
Felipe Romero, a spokesman for the border city of Brownsville, told Fox News that they are telling the migrants who tested positive to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to quarantine and maintain social distance, but that Brownsville doesn’t have the authority to stop them from traveling to the rest of the country.
He said the 108 positives account for 6.3 percent of the total migrants who received rapid tests at the city’s main bus terminal, a program that began on Jan. 25.
The Heritage statement said:
“There is no such thing as ‘safe illegal immigration,’ especially during a pandemic. The president ran a campaign based on ‘listening to the health experts,’ but no doubt the American people would like to know which public health experts recommended this horrendous policy.”
Joe Biden's deputies announce they expect 117,000 "unaccompanied" young migrants this year.
Resident illegals, coyotes & cartels will be very happy to meet the new target.
This is not a surprise 'crisis.'
This is gov't-planned 'extraction migration.'https://t.co/5obvzhr7EZ— Neil Munro (@NeilMunroDC) March 3, 2021
Greg Abbott: Joe Biden ‘Recklessly’ Freeing Coronavirus-Positive Illegal Aliens into Texas
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says President Joe Biden is “recklessly releasing” illegal aliens into the state of Texas after they have tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus.
A report by NBC News this week confirmed that Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing border crossers into the U.S. interior who then are testing positive for the coronavirus. Even after border crossers test positive, they are not required to quarantine.
Abbott, in a statement on Wednesday evening, wrote that the Biden administration “must immediately end” the Catch and Release policy.
“The Biden Administration is recklessly releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants who have COVID into Texas communities,” Abbott wrote in a post. “The Biden Admin. must IMMEDIATELY end this callous act that exposes Texans & Americans to COVID.”

In Brownsville, Texas, DHS is sending border crossers into the community where local health officials then must test them. Regardless of a negative or positive test result, the border crossers are allowed to continue traveling into the U.S. interior — many heading to Maryland, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
Since Brownsville officials started testing released border crossers, about 6.3 percent or nearly 110 have tested positive for the coronavirus and are sent on their way.
Similarly, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) called Biden’s Catch and Release policy an “anti-America First and anti-science” iniative.
“Illegal aliens with COVID-19 are being caught and then released into the United States,” Brooks wrote in a post. “This is anti-America First and anti-Science. Socialist Dems have built a wall around the Capitol to protect themselves, but won’t protect you!”

As Breitbart News noted, millions of Americans remain under business restrictions, mask mandates, and quarantine requirements due to the coronavirus crisis, even as coronavirus-positive border crossers are not held to any requirements except public mask mandates where they are enforced.
Biden’s Catch and Release policy has proven unpopular with Americans. In a Harvard/Harris poll conducted last month of nearly 1,800 registered voters, 67 percent said border crossers should be returned to Mexico — as they were under the Remain in Mexico policy that Biden ended — while just 33 percent said they should be released into the U.S. interior.

Biden's Open Borders Leads to Virus Infected Illegal Aliens Spreading Across America
Lock down the country? Sure.
Force restaurants to close? Absolutely.
Keep schools shut for the year? We must play it safe.
Arrest people for peaceful protests against lockdowns? Done and done.
We must use every means possible to save lives no matter whose rights it violates.
Prevent illegal aliens from crossing the border and spreading the virus? What are you some sort of bigot? Illegal aliens have a right to spread the virus.
Nothing can possibly take precedence over the vital importance of illegal migration to the political future of the Democrat Party.
"Right now we were tested for Covid and they separated about eight of us because we were positive," she told Noticias Telemundo Investiga. "We are waiting right now." She was waiting to catch a bus to Houston.
Not a problem. It's only a problem for Americans and legal immigrants.
Other migrant families who also said they had tested positive were waiting to go to other destinations: North Carolina, Maryland and New Jersey.
The city of Brownsville administers these rapid tests at the bus station, after migrant families are released by the Border Patrol. A spokesperson for Brownsville confirmed that, since they began doing these tests Jan. 25, 108 migrants have tested positive for Covid-19, which is 6.3 percent of those who took the test.
If the border were a school, it would be shut down.
In response to Noticias Telemundo Investiga, a spokesperson for the city said in an email that Brownsville does not have the authority to retain these migrants who plan to travel to dozens of cities throughout the country. The city assured that municipal workers recommend to those who test positive to keep quarantine as indicated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The city employees suggest to families they go to nongovernment organizations (NGOs) and nonprofits in the border area who can take them in and isolate them in order to keep quarantine.
Oddly, they don't seem interested. If they were Americans, something would be done. But they're not Americans. They're Democrats.
Americans must be sure to wear masks. We're all in this together, you know.
Harris’s Senate Replacement’s First Bill: Pathway to Citizenship for Illegal Alien ‘Essential Workers’
As the discussion over President Joe Biden’s open border immigration policies heats up, at least one Democrat Senator wants to go even farther than allowing tens of thousands of illegal aliens into the country based on asylum claims.
Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), who took Kamala Harris’s Senate seat, wants to give millions of illegal aliens a pathway to citizenship if they are deemed “essential workers.”
That wish is now in the form of a bill, the first Padilla has unveiled since taking his seat. Padilla told the San Francisco Chronicle:
I think nothing speaks to the moment more than COVID response and fairness for essential workers. On a parallel track, we know that immigration reform is long overdue in the United States of America and there are no states that have more at stake in immigration reform than the state of California.
“A standalone measure allows us to uplift specific elements of a comprehensive package as you continue to gain momentum and support,” Padilla said.
The Chronicle reported on Padilla’s motivation:
In an interview, Padilla said his Citizenship for Essential Workers Act was an easy choice for his first piece of legislation as a senator on a personal and policy level. He noted his Mexican immigrant parents spent four decades working in the service industry — his father as a short-order cook and his mom cleaning houses. Padilla is the first Latino senator from California and one of only a handful in the Senate, and he has already used that position to voice concerns of the Latino community in Washington.
On its own, it’s virtually impossible the bill would become law. The legislation would apply to some legally present immigrants and undocumented immigrants alike, providing an immediate opportunity to start the naturalization process for an estimated 5 million or more people who work in more than a dozen essential industries, including health care, agriculture, service, child care and manufacturing. But the legislation is emblematic of how Padilla hopes to shape the perpetual debate on immigration as it unfolds in coming months.
On December 22, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed Padilla to succeed Harris. Padilla served in the California State Senate for the 20th district from 2006 to 2014.

Poll: Two Thirds of Americans Oppose Migrant ‘Catch and Release’
Americans oppose the federal policy of “catch and release” for migrants by 2:1, according to a new poll by Harvard-Harris.
Almost 1,800 adults were asked, “Do you think that people who cross the border from Mexico illegally should be turned back to Mexico or released into the U.S. with a court date?”
Sixty-seven percent said they should be “turned back to Mexico,” while 33 percent said they should be allowed into the United States pending court hearings on their asylum claims.
The poll also asked, “Do you think that coming into the United States without any documentation should be a crime or not a crime?” The respondents split, 65 percent to 35 percent, with about two-thirds of respondents saying it should remain a crime.
The survey was conducted February 23 to 25, shortly after President Joe Biden’s deputies began welcoming Central American migrants who had been sent back to Mexico by former President Donald Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) program.
Trump’s MPP program broke the conveyer belt of economic migration into the United States, in which migrants are transported north into U.S. jobs so a percentage of their wages can be sent south to the cartels, coyotes, Central American governments, and their home communities.
Biden’s border officials are signaling their eagerness to extract more migrants for transfer into American communities and workplaces. On March 1, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas told reporters:
We are not saying [to the migrants] “Don’t come.” We are saying, “Don’t come now,” because we will be able to deliver a safe and orderly [legal paperwork] process to them as quickly as possible.”
For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.
The multiracial, cross-sex, non-racist, class-based, intra-Democratic, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory — despite the media magnification of many skewed polls and articles that still push the 1950s corporate “Nation of Immigrants” claim.
The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.
Biden's amnesty bill dramatically raises the $$ incentive for Fortune 500 CEOs to NOT hire American graduates.
It is a giveaway to the many CEOs & investors who prefer compliant, no-rights, foreign graduate contract-workers.
IOW, #H1B for every career. https://t.co/WUW5lREV7l— Neil Munro (@NeilMunroDC) February 18, 2021
