CLUB FOR FREE ABORTION, OPEN BORDERS AND ILLEGALS FIRST ACLU COMES OUT FOR THE BABY BUTCHERIES - Planned Parenthood, ACLU File Lawsuit to Block Lubbock, Texas Ordinance Outlawing Abortion

KAMALA HARRIS, THE GODLESS.

https://kamala-harris-sociopath.blogspot.com/2020/10/kamala-harris-godless-just-follow-money.html

Harris is no friend of religious liberty. Her recent decision to exclaim in the year of our Lord, which has been conveniently picked up by her staff, is a ploy designed to appeal to unassuming Christian voters impressed by "God talk." As the old adage says, actions speak louder than words, and on this score, Harris fails to convince.

It is the handmaidens working for Planned Parenthood who have joked about selling aborted baby body parts.  And it was Kamala Harris, when she was A.G. of California, who viciously prosecuted the young man who exposed that scandal, after she had received a hefty donation from Planned Parenthood.

THERE MAY BE NO PURER FORM OF FASCISM THAN THE ACLU!

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Texas have filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Lubbock after its citizens voted May 1 to become a “sanctuary city for the unborn.”

The abortion industry giant and the civil rights organization claim the ordinance Lubbock’s citizens approved to make abortion illegal within the city’s limits is unconstitutional.

Volume 90%

“The Constitution of the United States guarantees the right to have an abortion,” the complaint states and continues:

But as of June 1, 2021, the City of Lubbock will prohibit and prevent the exercise of that right through the passage of its Ordinance Outlawing Abortion Within the City of Lubbock, Declaring Lubbock a Sanctuary City for the Unborn …

Plaintiffs bring this action to enjoin the City from maintaining in force, enforcing, or giving legal effect to the Ordinance and to declare the Ordinance invalid under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Texas law.

Ken Lambrecht, CEO of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, said in a statement reported by KCBD News:

Lubbock’s controversial new ordinance violates our patients’ constitutional right to access abortion and we are expecting the court to stop this unlawful ordinance. Planned Parenthood is proud to provide high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care to hundreds of patients in Lubbock since opening our health center last year. This year, those services expanded to include abortion services. Patients are counting on our health center in Lubbock, and we are committed to expanding access to affordable health care services — especially during the pandemic. Today, we are standing up for the rights of our Lubbock patients to make their own medical decisions.

“Apparently Planned Parenthood did not agree with the results of the Election on May 1st,” wrote Mark Lee Dickson, director of Right to Life of East Texas and founder of the Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn initiative, on Facebook Tuesday, adding:

This lawsuit is frivolous and directly foreclosed by the Fifth Circuit’s ruling in Okpalobi v. Foster. The federal courts have no ability to prevent private litigants from suing abortion providers under a duly enacted law, and there is nothing a federal court can do to stop private citizens from suing to enforce this ordinance.

“The city-wide abortion ban will take effect on June 1st, regardless of what happens in this lawsuit, and any person who aids or abets an abortion in Lubbock will be facing immediate lawsuits,” Dickson continued. “Planned Parenthood should conduct itself accordingly.”

As reported by KCBD News, the City of Lubbock said, in response to the lawsuit, “The City will vigorously defend this ordinance and looks forward to presenting that defense in court.”

The lawsuit comes as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) signed into law Wednesday the “heartbeat” bill that bans abortions in the state once a fetal heartbeat can be detected:

In a case that will likely present the most significant challenge to the 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court also agreed Monday to reexamine if state laws that prohibit most abortions are unconstitutional.

KCBD News noted that Heather Hacker and Andrew Stephens of Hacker Stephens LLP of Austin, and Fernando Bustos of the Bustos Law Firm, P.C., of Lubbock, will represent the City of Lubbock in the lawsuit.

Lubbock became the largest city in the United States to declare itself a “sanctuary city for the unborn,” the 26th in the nation to outlaw abortion.

The ordinance states:

It shall be unlawful for any person to procure or perform an abortion of any type and at any stage of pregnancy in the City of Lubbock, Texas … It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly aid or abet an abortion that occurs in the City of Lubbock, Texas.

Lubbock’s mayor and city council considered the ordinance after sufficient signatures were gathered from Lubbock citizens to allow for a city council vote. The council ultimately voted 7-0 against the ordinance, reasoning that the Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade is considered by many to be the “law of the land.”

Dickson reported at Live Action News that, since the vote of the council was “forced by the Initiative and Referendum process, this allowed for Lubbock residents to take the opportunity to get the ordinance on the ballot and to vote on the ordinance themselves on May 1, 2021.”

Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope said in a statement following the vote that “voters made it clear that Lubbock will become the next sanctuary city for the unborn.”

Planned Parenthood began performing abortions at its Lubbock facility on April 15.

“Because the Lubbock Ordinance that outlaws abortion was passed after abortions were offered in Lubbock, this makes Lubbock the first city in the nation to pass an ordinance outlawing abortion in a city where abortions are already being committed,” Dickson noted.

As Dickson observed, the ACLU and two abortion rights groups dropped their lawsuit against seven of the towns that each declared themselves a “sanctuary city for the unborn.” None of the towns have abortion clinics.

The ordinance contains two “enforcement mechanisms,” one public and one private.

“While the public enforcement mechanism is dependent upon the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the private enforcement mechanism is immediately enforceable,” Dickson explained.

The ordinance provides the following private enforcement mechanism:

Any person, corporation, or entity that commits an unlawful act … other than the mother of the unborn child that has been aborted, shall be liable in tort to the unborn child’s mother, father, grandparents, siblings and half-siblings. The person or entity that committed the unlawful act shall be liable to each surviving relative of the aborted unborn child for: (a) Compensatory damages, including damages for emotional distress; (b) Punitive damages; and (c) Costs and attorneys’ fees.

“I think it is worthy of pointing out that not one of the other twenty-seven Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn were sued, but only the city of Lubbock,” Dickson posted on Facebook. “We will be looking forward to seeing more cities outlaw abortion in the near future and many lawsuits against Planned Parenthood come June 1st.

The case is Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas Surgical Health Services v. City of Lubbock, Texas, No. 5:21-cv-114 in United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

(CNS News) -- On Wednesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) kept his word and signed into law a pro-life bill that prohibits abortion after an unborn baby's heartbeat can be heard, which is usually around six weeks. The law, to a large degree, effectively outlaws abortion in the Lone Star State. It goes into effect on Sept. 1, 2021.

"Our Creator endowed us with the right to life," Abbott said at the bill signing. "And yet millions of children lose their right to life every year because of abortion. In Texas, we work to save those lives."

In a tweet, the governor said, "The heartbeat bill is now LAW in the Lone Star State. This bill ensures the life of every unborn child with a heartbeat will be saved from the ravages of abortion. Thank you @SenBryanHughes@ShelbySlawson, & #txlege for fighting for the lives of the unborn in Texas."

Although the law prohibits abortion after the child's heartbeat is detectable, exceptions are allowed in the case of  a medical emergency. If a doctor performs an abortion after the heartbeat can be detected, anyone may file a lawsuit against the doctor.

“The Texas Heartbeat Act is novel in approach, allowing for citizens to hold abortionists accountable through private lawsuits," according to Texas Right to Life. "No heartbeat law passed by another state has taken this strategy. Additionally, the bill does not punish women who obtain abortions."

“The Texas Heartbeat Act is the strongest Pro-Life bill passed by the Legislature since Roe v. Wade,” said Rebecca Parma, senior legislative associate at Texas Right to Life.

The ACLU, which supports abortion, described the legislation as "an extreme anti-abortion bill that would ban abortion as early as 6 weeks."

In a statement to CBS News, Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson said the new law is the "most extreme in the country," and added, "It is appalling that in defiance of public opinion and public health, state politicians remain committed to controlling our bodies."

Dr. Leah Torres, an OB/GYN in Salt Lake City, Utah, said that when she performs certain abortions she cuts the vocal cord of the baby so "there's really no opportunity" for the child to scream. She also described herself as a "uterus ripper outer" because she performs hysterectomies.

The Left’s War on Procreation

"Vogue" calls childbearing “environmental vandalism.” Gates and Biden agree.

Last week, the left’s war on procreation was headline news.

In the April 29th British edition of Vogue, Nell Frizzell wrote a pean to population control: “Is Having a Child Pure Environmental Terrorism?” – a shameless piece of virtue signaling.

Frizzell confessed that when she was pregnant, she “worried feverishly about the strain on the Earth’s resources that another Western child would add.”

The author went on to agonize about the amount of electricity her child would use in his lifetime, the food he would consume and what it would take to grow it – and how the future consumer would add to air pollution, global warming and depleted resources.

It was painful to read and depressing to contemplate – that someone so indoctrinated in the cult of Carbon Footprints can display their ignorance in the mass media.

Then there was the news that Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda, America’s Woke power couple, are getting a divorce. Unfortunately, the work of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will continue. With $43.3 billion in assets (larger than the economies of most countries) the Foundation is dedicated to making the world a more barren place.

Its target isn’t Western children but kids in Africa, which, in a way, makes sense. Africa is the only continent with above-replacement fertility.  In conjunction with the United Nations Population Fund, the Gates Foundation sponsored a series of international conferences pushing population control, including abortion.

At one in Addis Ababa in 2013, there was, according to UNFPA, “a focus on universal access to reproductive health (code for abortion and government-sponsored contraception), especially for young people and other vulnerable groups.”

Bill’s interest in young people was reflected in his friendship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, already convicted of soliciting sex from minors when the two first met in 2011.

Along with the UN and International Planned Parenthood, the Gates Foundation is dedicated to eliminating safeguards for unborn children. Melinda believes that until women “have the power not to have children,” life will not improve in emerging nations.

In an “Open Letter to Melinda Gates,” Nigerian pro-life activist and biomedical researcher Obianuju Ekeocha laments: “We are thirsty and they give us condoms. We are hungry and they offer us contraceptive pills. We are sick and they offer us the most modern techniques of abortion…. We are impoverished and they offer us sexual liberation!”

If the billions that Bill and Melinda and their Good Club friends like Ted Turner and George Soros pump into population control were spent on clean water, better nutrition and maternal health care, the condition of Africans would be immeasurably improved. But then they’d be buying life, when what they want is death.

Strip away the humanitarian bombast and we’re left with a brutal reality: The billionaire lefties of the world want fewer Africans. That Africans are still having large families, with polar ice caps supposedly melting and super-storms brewing, offends their sensibilities. Prince Harry is anxious about African population growth infringing on animal habitats. Cheetahs si; children no?

On another front, it looks like the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is finally going to do something about the most pro-abortion president in our history (who White House mouthpiece Jen Psaki shamelessly refers to as “a devout Catholic”) at their June meeting.

In his first day in office, Biden repealed the Mexico City Policy (blocking U.S. aid to foreign NGOs promoting or performing abortions). Now, the Hyde Amendment (prohibiting federal funding of abortion domestically) is in his sights. Calling Joe a “devout Catholic” is like calling a Jew who eats bacon cheeseburgers on Yom Kippur “observant.”

The Gateses, the Vogue writer and Biden’s handlers are all neo-Malthusians -- disciples of Paul Ehrlich, the much-discredited prophet of over-population.

After visiting Calcutta in the 1960s, and based on his extensive study of insect life, Ehrlich wrote “The Population Bomb” in 1968, which forecast worldwide famine in the 1970s. If you missed it, you aren’t alone. The Bomb blew up in Ehrlich’s face, like an exploding cigar.

As economist Julian Simon demonstrated in “The Ultimate Resource,” population growth leads to more resources, not less. Rising prices spur exploration and the discovery of new processes to use resources more efficiently.

If population growth leaves a nation stuck in poverty, why are China and India (with the world largest populations) booming? Why did the Industrial Revolution first occur in Britain, which experienced unprecedented population growth in the 18th and early 19th centuries, instead of Greenland?

While environmental activists view more people as more mouths to feed, others see them as more hands to produce and more brains to innovate.

Despite this reality, the Malthusians are having an undeniable impact. Worldwide fertility rates (the number of children the average woman will have in her lifetime) are falling fast. Sometime in this century, we will get into population decline, perhaps even population freefall.

Replacement fertility is approximately 2.1. Globally, fertility has fallen precipitously, from 4.7 in 1950 to 2.4 today. In the European Union, the average fertility rate is 1.55. In the United State, it dropped from 3.55 during the baby boom years to around 1.9.

That’s why the population-controllers are targeting Africa, the last stronghold of robust fertility.

Overpopulation is a myth. Population decline could soon be a reality. Then it will be a question of who’s left to generate the power, grow the crops and take care of the thousand and one tasks essential to keep society functioning.

We’ll need Fizzell’s child, and his descendants, to help keep the lights on.

Biden's HHS Is Lying About Title X to Push Abortion

Biden's HHS Is Lying About Title X to Push Abortion

Source: Greg Nash/Pool via AP

The Biden administration’s dishonest efforts to force taxpayers to fund abortion via Title X have taken center stage. In order to create a victim narrative, HHS pushes some deeply misleading numbers thanks to the new radically pro-abortion HHS Secretary, Xavier Becerra. His department blames the Trump administration’s multi-faceted and pro-life Protect Life Rule for the supposed harm to the uninsured, low-income families, and “people of color.” HHS claims that due to Title X grantees’ withdrawal from the program (namely Planned Parenthood) the program lost over 1,000 service sites. This led, allegedly, to a deep drop of 844,083 Title X clients from 2018 to 2019.

Less activism. More factivism. Out of those 1000 sites, over 600 were Planned Parenthood affiliates. If there was such a massive loss of Title X patients nationwide, why does Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report for FY 2019 show the exact same number of clients (2.4 million) served since 2013? According to the Congressional Research Service, Planned Parenthood serves 40% of all Title X’s patients—that’s 1.5 million people. But curiously they didn’t lose one client in 2019. How’s that possible?

The truth is the number of Title X clients have been declining in the program for a long time. HHS blatantly ignores the downward trend that has been the case for years prior to and especially during the Obama administration. The number of patients surged in the first two years of Obama’s presidency rising to 5,224,862 in 2010 and then proceeded to drop by the hundreds of thousands year after year. I don’t recall there being any alarm from leftists about “equity” or endangerment to the Title X program. Clearly, the only gag rule in effect is the self-imposed one from mainstream media that refuses to speak the truth about Planned Parenthood and America’s health. The number of Title X patients plummeted to 4,007,552 by the end of Obama’s second term (2016), a loss of 1.2 million people.

But this begs the question: What is causing the annual drop in those served by Title X?

Could it be people are less impoverished? Yes. Poverty rates for families hit the highest level in decades under Obama reaching 11.8% in 2010. Those rates remained at that level for years, finally lowering to 9.8% in 2016. For female householders without a spouse present, it was even more of stark contrast. In 2010, 31.7% were below the poverty threshold (the highest since 1997); it was 22.2% in 2019.

Could it be that people are using private and public health insurance? Yes. In 2010 only 31% of all family planning patients (Private, Public, Uninsured) had private or public insurance (negating the need for Title X assistance.) By 2019, that percentage increased significantly to 58%.

Could it be that Title X doesn’t serve as many people as HHS would like us to believe? Yes. Keep in mind, even in 2018 where 3,939,749 clients were served by this taxpayer program, this amounted to 2.5% of the U.S. female population (15 years and older) and 0.4% of the male population (15 years and older). Title X accounted for only 10% of the federal government’s family planning spending. Medicaid is a far larger allotment accounting for 75% of these expenditures.

Of course, Planned Parenthood and its fake news allies kept trumpeting that our nation’s taxpayer-funded community health centers (that provide far more healthcare than Planned Parenthood) cannot absorb more clients. Yet they’ve added more than a million more patients every year since that bogus claim in 2017.

None of the Left’s Title X rhetoric is about facts. Those are aborted even more than Planned Parenthood aborts human beings. In typical victimhood fashion the abortion federation’s president proclaimed back in 2019: “The Trump administration has forced Planned Parenthood grantees out of Title X—the nation’s program for affordable birth control and reproductive health care.” Planned Parenthood wasn’t forced out. They chose to opt out. In response to a question in a clearly biased CBS news interview about changing their abortion model to comply with Title X regulations, Alexis McGill-Johnson emphatically stated: “Absolutely not. I was on the Board when we voted to ensure that abortion was one of our core services that every center affiliated with Planned Parenthood would provide."

Abortion is not healthcare. Planned Parenthood still chose abortion over the needs of Title X clients.

And HHS is doing the same. The ideological disease of wokeism has infected HHS as it declares: “Advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality, is a priority for OPA and the Title X program.”

The reality is that the only decrease in proportion of those served by the Title X program was among whites—a decrease of 4% since the Obama Administration. The program has seen an increase in the percentage of black patients since 2016 (from 20% to 22%) and Hispanics from 32% to 33% in 2019 and every other minority demographic has remained the same.

But, if all else fails, frame the issue as a racial one. Biden, Becerra and company pretend that minority communities need more abortion despite having rates much higher than the majority population. Vulnerable communities need better healthcare, not more hucksters pushing the violence of abortion. The proposed rule ends with this assertion: “Health equity is achieved when every person has the opportunity to attain their full health potential.”

There is no health equity when it comes to abortion. Women bear the brunt of the physiological and psychological consequences of abortion. Men don’t. There is no health equity, regardless of hue of skin or socioeconomic status, if you’re a victim of abortion. The Biden administration is lying to the American public about Title X. (Please submit your comments to HHS here.) The only thing that should be aborted is the new rule wrapped in old lies.
