LAWLESS LAWYERS - THE LAWS, LIKE THE BORDERS DO NOT APPLY TO LAWYER JOE BIDEN AND HIS CORRUPT LAWYER INFESTED REGIME

THE LAWYER CLASS IS AMERICA'S GREATEST THREAT!

Hilton: Biden is an 'utterly mediocre machine-politician, surrounded by amateurs'

A lawless society inspired and governed by blatant criminal behavior at the top is the signature of a Third World country. It’s not a healthy situation, particularly when the so-called major media are ignoring or, even worse, covering up for a lawless administration. It’s a direct legacy of the fundamental transformation of America enunciated by one Barack Hussein Obama.

Does Biden Believe That Laws Should Only Be Observed Selectively?

I suspect there is not a driver anywhere who hasn’t routinely exceeded the posted speed limit. I often find myself zipping along at 65 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. After all, who hasn’t? Who doesn’t?

In fact, it’s not uncommon for a patrol car to whiz past me doing 70, clearly unconcerned about how fast I am driving. I would probably have to be going at least 75 to gain the trooper’s attention.

Unelected bureaucrats set speeds in what they perceive to be the interests of public safety. No one expects those speed limits to be strictly enforced.

This is called selective law enforcement. It’s a growing American cultural norm. There are a number of these, some more obvious and serious than others, such as smoking marijuana or illegally crossing our southern border. At local levels, many Democrats who run cities have expanded these norms to the point where they no longer concern themselves with any sort of drug use, much less shoplifting, trespassing, urinating or defecating in public, minor violence such as muggings, and leftwing riots. There’ve been precious few reports about prosecuting hundreds of BLM and Antifa members who participated in the 2020 riots that cost billions in damages.

This alarming lawless approach to governing by Democrats is adversely affecting multiple corners of our society.

Creaky Joe Biden’s taste for lawlessness surfaced immediately in his administration. Sean Higgens reported, “One of Joe Biden’s first acts as President of the United States, the removal of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) general counsel Peter Robb, was probably unconstitutional. It was certainly highly unethical. Biden fired Robb despite the NLRB being an independent federal agency.”

In clear cases of illegal racial discrimination, Biden administration officials have been implementing programs only open to Black, Hispanic, or female Americans. The Small Business Administration (SBA) has been accepting applications for grants from the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund, designed to help those adversely affected by Covid. White males have been excluded from applying. In a similar move, Biden’s Department of Agriculture began forgiving loans to farmers affected by the Covid crisis. You won’t be surprised to learn White farmers and ranchers were excluded.

In dealing with Covid, Biden’s various mask and vaccination mandates have been a direct challenge to the very Constitution he is sworn to uphold. The New York Post reported,

The national vaccine mandate that the president is poised to issue is unlawful. White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain made the obvious explicit by retweeting a progressive commentator’s observation that the ploy of imposing the vaccine requirement as a workplace-safety rule under OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is the ‘ultimate work-around.’ Translation: The president knows that an executive order mandating COVID vaccination would be shot down instantly, so he’s trying to camouflage it in a maze of Labor Department regulations.

On another front, Biden’s CDC decided in early August to extend for two months a federal eviction moratorium on renters who are behind in payments to their landlords, although the Supreme Court had already indicated the CDC lacked legal authority to do so. The Washington Examiner reported that,

When asked about the legal obstacles this policy would inevitably run into, President Joe Biden admitted that what his administration is doing is illegal, but he said he doesn’t care....

[snip]

...Biden knows that the CDC is acting illegally but wants the agency to continue to act illegally until the courts can get around to stopping it. Litigation takes time, which means the moratorium could be in effect for weeks, maybe even months, before it is struck down. And even when it is declared unconstitutional, there is no way to go back and force renters to pay the money they owed when the moratorium was in place, even if the moratorium itself was illegal.

This is such a flagrant violation of the law and the constitutional bounds of Biden’s presidency that it’s a wonder no one outside of conservative circles seems to care.

Biden’s lawlessness is particularly acute and painful on our Southern border. Immediately after becoming president, old Joe halted Trump’s border wall construction and, more or less openly, invited illegals to swarm in. As part of this, he halted congressionally approved spending on the wall. Some legal experts believe this broke the law.

Andrea Widburg noted in an earlier American Thinker article,

People may no longer realize that America has robust immigration laws. You can find them at 8 USC §1151 et seq. These laws govern all aspects of admitting non-citizens and non-legal residents into the United States.

The laws are predicated on the idea that America has a border and that it has the right to control that border. Congress addressed not being a public charge, working illegally in the country, bringing in dangerous communicable disease, being mentally ill, and being a dangerous criminal or a drug-runner, and required visas, sponsors, and entering through appropriate checkpoints rather than sneaking in. Stuff like that.

One of the first things Joe Biden did upon entering the Oval Office was sign executive orders that either make it harder for government employees to enforce these laws or require them not to enforce them at all. Thus, he stopped work on a wall that had as its sole purpose preventing illegal aliens from bypassing legal border checkpoints. That is, he made it easier for illegal aliens to sneak in.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who sued the Biden administration, said,

President Biden’s outright refusal to enforce the law is exacerbating an unprecedented border crisis. By failing to take custody of criminal aliens and giving no explanation for this reckless policy change, the Biden administration is demonstrating a blatant disregard for Texans’ and Americans’ safety.

This is a highly troubling aspect of a disintegrating presidency that appears to run on the premise that if you don’t like the law, evade it or ignore it. But what else could one expect from a man whose sleazy, drug-fueled, wannabe porn star son has apparently been peddling access to his father to the Chinese and other foreign interests? Fox News reported an email thread found on son Hunter’s laptop where Hunter appeared to outline a payout for the President in a deal with a Chinese energy firm. One email includes a discussion of “remuneration packages” for six people, including a 10% cut for Mr. Big, a likely reference to old Joe. Your gut tells you there’s more. A lot more.

A definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law. We’re not just talking here about cultural norms such as exceeding the speed limit or turning a blind eye to pot-smoking; we’re talking outright serious criminal behavior that should demand long stays in the federal prison system.

I have this fantasy about Peter Doocy asking Jen Psaki or, even better, old Joe himself if he believes laws should only be followed selectively. I would love to hear the answer.

Schadenfreude to start the week: Biden and the Dems' plans are collapsing

Only eight months into the Biden presidency, disaster looms for the Democrats, and boy, do they deserve every bit of humiliation and voter repudiation that looks to be in prospect.  Yes, it is almost fourteen months until the midterm election gives the public a chance to correct the electoral results that were proclaimed as genuine, and that's an eternity in politics.  But two factors give me a fair degree of confidence that the trend we see now will continue and accelerate:

  1. Biden is not going to get more coherent.  He is visibly declining, the victim of his pathologically status-seeking wife, who surely realized that his ongoing dementia made him unsuitable for office.  And his potential replacement is so repulsive that Vice President Harris is kept hidden from the pubic as much as possible.
  2. With the slimmest of congressional vote margins, the Dems have committed themselves to a far-reaching transformation demanded by the far-left faction of the party that would spell doom for the few remaining non-extremists in the party.

Biden's polls are collapsing.  Becket Adams in the WashEx:

Only 43% of respondents in a survey conducted between Sept. 13–19 believe the phrase "mentally sharp" describes Biden "well."

This represents an 11-point drop from March, when Pew found 54% of respondents said "mentally sharp" was a fitting descriptor for the president.

On top of the border crisis, cratering approval numbers, infighting among congressional Democrats, incompetent federal health officials bumbling their way through the coronavirus pandemic, and the chaotic, disorderly withdrawal from Afghanistan, there's also a growing consensus the president is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Rasmussen finds Trump beating Biden by ten points in a hypothetical rematch.

All of this is before inflation roars out of control, which appears likely.  People are ultra-sensitive to gasoline and food prices, because both are necessities, and both already are galloping skyward with the blame obviously on the Dems and Biden.

In the here and now, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has just postponed a vote on the $1.2-trillion "infrastructure" spending bill previously slotted for today:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). announced Sunday that the vote on the Senate-passed $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill will be held on Sept. 30, days later than originally planned.

Lawmakers will still debate the bill on the House floor on Monday but will not actually vote until Thursday, on the same day that some surface transportation programs are set to expire, Pelosi announced in a letter to her fellow Democrats released by her office.

"This week is a week of opportunity, as we work to keep government open, conclude negotiations on the Build Back Better Act and advance the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework," Pelosi wrote.

"Tomorrow, September 27, we will begin debate on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework on the Floor of the House and vote on it on Thursday, September 30, the day on which the surface transportation authorisation expires."

The Democrat-led "Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework" focuses mostly on core infrastructure projects, such as roads, clean water and power, bridges and other infrastructure, and remediation of legacy pollution.

The much bigger and far worse $3.5-trillion (actually, closer to 5) spending bill ain't going to become law, at least not in that form.  Pelosi is retreating there, too:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Sunday that President Joe Biden's $3.5 trillion spending bill, dubbed the "Build Back Better Act," which is scheduled for a vote on Thursday, will likely be scaled back.

It "seems self-evident" that the reconciliation bill price tag will be smaller than the original proposal of $3.5 trillion, the California Democrat said during an appearance on ABC's This Week.

"Everybody overwhelmingly, and I think even those who want a smaller number, support the vision of the president," the California Democrat said. "Adding up what our priorities are should take us to a number where we find common ground."

She needs more time to try to satisfy the Squad and other lefties while keeping the support of Senators Manchin and Sinema and the few remaining House Democrats from swing districts, who understand how voting for Obamacare made many House Democrats lose their races in the first midterm of Obama's presidency.  They know that the massive debt spending will exacerbate inflation.

Master polemicist Kurt Schlichter has a satisfying essay on the internal warfare underway among the donkeys.  Read the whole thing, but for a quick schadenfreude fix, here are a couple of excerpts:

Just watching Manchin and Sinema mock Schumer, who (as Hugh Hewitt noted) is desperate to ward off a primary challenge from up-talking, irony-free socialista AOC, restores one's faith in cosmic justice. The libs are furious that Joe Manchin is ruining their party — it's awesome. And their fussy threats are even more precious. Yeah, someone's going to successfully primary Manchin from the left in West Virginia, right after the Boy Scouts let the Lincoln Project be honorary jamboree co-sponsors.

That Schumer and Pelosi are not feared like they should be by their own caucus is delightful. Mitch McConnell is feared by his caucus, and rightly so. And he's playing this masterfully. Yeah, we have our own fights — including Trump's silly campaign against McConnell, who is indisputably the most effective legislative knife fighter in generations. The guy drives me nuts too — his insurrection whining was stupid and lame — but no one wrecks the Dems' dreams like the Murder Turtle. He just threw a Baby Ruth bar in the Capitol Hill pool by refusing to help raise the debt ceiling — the Dems have a majority, so it's their problem. Of course, the Dems don't want to do it because it looks bad — they want GOP cover. Mitch refuses to provide it, which is chum in the water to another Dem feeding frenzy.

And:

According to numbers the lib media refuses to report, the biggest group of vaccine skeptics is not those science-hating Trump people. It's minorities, who frankly have a really good reason for not trusting government doctors who assure them everything is on the up and up. It doesn't help when rich jerks at the Emmys or on Martha's Vineyard party maskless while demanding you gag your kid — or not allow your kid to go to school at all.

So, when the Karen Caucus of libidinally unsatiated cat ladies get their vaccine passport requirements of their dreams, the hardest hit is...minorities! Put that in your Ibram X. Kendi commemorative pipe and smoke it, ladies!

The brawl and resulting BLM protest at the NYC Italian place was only the beginning. We'll see more and more battles between these elements of the Dem coalition, and we need to do as Mitch does and stay out of it.

Watching our country be invaded is no fun, nor is the horror unfolding in Afghanistan.  Knowing that China now realizes that Biden has defaulted on protecting those who commit to alliances with us is scary beyond words.  World War III is not unthinkable, as weakness is provocative, and Taiwan's success threatens the legitimacy of the communist oligarchy of China.

But at least we get to watch Joe Biden prove he is senile, Nancy Pelosi stammer and gesticulate wildly in panic, and Democrats form up a circular firing squad.

We take our pleasures where we can as our country declines.

Word is getting around: Reuters reports 20,000 migrants on the march to the U.S.

The Biden administration has managed to halt the news videos of the 15,000 migrants massing at a squalid camp in Del Rio, Texas, by swiftly sweeping them into the interior of the country, but that didn't solve the problem they thought they had solved.

Actually, they exacerbated the problem.

According to Reuters:

PANAMA CITY, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Up to 4,000 migrants, most of them Haitians, have passed through the treacherous jungles of the Darien Gap in Panama on the Colombian border as they make their way north to the United States, two Panamanian government sources said. ...

Between 3,500 to 4,000 migrants are passing through migration reception stations in Darien and Chiriqui, said a source with Panama's security ministry, who requested anonymity. The group includes Cubans and other nationalities, the source said.

Meanwhile, some 16,000 migrants are stuck in the northern Colombian beach town of Necocli, awaiting their turn on limited boat transport toward the Darien Gap, where smugglers guide groups through one of the most dangerous and impassable regions of Latin America.

Apparently, they've triggered a landslide of illegal aliens now that they've cleared Del Rio, a migrant army on the march, getting ready to invade the U.S.  There are even more mass migrations of supposed "asylum-seekers" on the way now based on the news that the huge recent group of 10,000+ illegal border-crossers have been dispersed throughout the U.S., quite a few with just requests to turn themselves in to ICE authorities to obtain a court date.  People who have already demonstrated their contempt for U.S. law by breaking in are now asked to demonstrate their fealty to U.S. law by presenting themselves to U.S. authorities, with no consequences if they don't.

You can bet that news reverberated around the world, particularly in the circles of would-be illegal migrants whose social media sites follow such news closely: come here illegally, be permitted to stay.  It's a lot easier than waiting in a costly legal immigration line, and the service is instant.

And not only are migrants being permitted to stay, but the U.S. asylum process, under which this open-border policy is being directed, is free for the abusing.  Many of the Haitians in this group are previously resettled refugees and don't qualify for asylum, but they can apply anyway and get several years of work in the U.S. as well as generous welfare packages as they wait.

The purpose of declaring someone a refugee, which many of these people have already been declared as in the wake of the 2010 Haitian earthquake, is to get someone to a safe third country.  It does not need to be a prosperous or free one; it just needs to be a safe one.  These migrants have already had that process — and lucked out, actually, by being declared refugees in prosperous places like Chile and Brazil.  Now they're country-shopping for better package deals, and the easily abused U.S. asylum process is just the vehicle.  Anyone — even someone who's been declared a resettled refugee in some place like Chile — can come here and claim asylum as if his case were just as meritorious as that of the political dissident who fled North Korea in a cargo hold — and win several years of U.S. residency with the right to work or take welfare before the case is thrown out of court.  After that, he may be ordered deported, but there's no need to leave — the Biden administration won't allow its agents to look for him.

Those kinds of realities are all over social media and by word of mouth.  Study after study shows that migrants get their messages from word of mouth and social media.  Even Bill Gates has said in the past that migrants get their word from word of mouth from other migrants who've tried what they want to try.

Meanwhile, social media continue to enable such word of mouth to multiply and spread.  Coyotes openly advertise their services to migrants, with slow shutdowns from Facebook.  Other kinds of Facebook sites cater to illegals, too.  Reuters in this report mentions an influential citizen-journalist named Luis Rodriguez who informs migrants that their window for getting into the U.S. without papers is short, so get in while the getting's good.  I can't determine his site yet, but it was in the Reuters report.  Here's one that features advice from left-wing lawyers to illegals — information about how to register to vote in municipal elections in Georgia, sports news, news of WhatsApp updates (illegal smuggling networks use these), the phony story about "whips" and how Biden demonized the Border Patrol agents as racists for attempting to enforce U.S. border law on horseback in the absence of a commonsense wall, as well as official statements from various countries illegals traverse.  Meanwhile, a search of "inmigrante" on Facebook shows news stories from Chile, where the local media are reporting that Haitian migrants have begun setting up roadblocks with demands that authorities take them to the northern border in order to begin the journey north, while angry Chilean locals in that northern town of Iquique have burned migrant tents, not wanting their town overrun with mass migrant camps on the way north.

There's a lot going on here to be researched, but one thing can be absolutely certain: migrants don't pay attention to laws or even what officials say.  They pay attention to what officials do and base that on the word of what their friends experience.  With each successful entry into the U.S. from a lazy, indifferent Biden administration that wants illegals to ensure Democrat votes, but not camera shots of illegals coming in, a new word-of-mouth vector is created to encourage other illegal aliens.

Biden's failure with mass migration waves flooding the U.S. border is actually just starting.  Clearing that migrant camp in Del Rio created thousands of word-of-mouth messages to migrant after migrant — and, based on this Reuters report, just exacerbated the problem.
