More migrants illegally crossing the border from Mexico into Texas are finding themselves incarcerated under the state’s “Catch and Jail” plan. They are being arrested by the thousands under “Operation Lone Star” put in place by Governor Greg Abbott earlier this year.

As of October 14, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested 7,744 migrants on criminal charges, according to the October 21 report from DPS officials. The arrests include 1,300 for criminal trespassing and 6,339 on felony charges.

Additionally, troopers apprehended a total of 73,031 migrants, including referrals to Border Patrol. Troopers also engaged in 822 vehicle pursuits.

“We’re not doing ‘catch & release’, we’re doing ‘catch & jail,'” Texas DPS Lt. Chris Olivarez told Fox News in September.

In one such pursuit published by Fox News, a female human smuggler from Austin, Texas, led troopers on a lengthy car chase that ended with a crash.

Fox’s Bill Melugin also tweeted a photo showing a group of 11 migrants apprehended by troopers on a private ranch in Kinney County on Monday night. The migrants, some of whom wore camouflage, attempted to evade apprehension prior to being taken into custody and jailed for criminal trespass.

Smugglers and migrants cause real damage to the ranches and farms, not only along the border but miles inland. A video reported by Breitbart’s Randy Clark shows the mounds of trash and abandoned clothing littering a rancher’s land.

0 seconds of 39 secondsVolume 90%

“The rancher says most of each day’s labor is spent repairing fences and water systems servicing animal life. Little time is left for typical operations and improvements,” Clark wrote. “He says migrants often break water pipes connected to livestock tanks—exposing animal life to deadly dehydration.”

“Damaged fences can result in cattle wandering onto the bordering highway and case vehicular accidents, the article continues. “In those cases, the ranch would be held liable.”

Migrants are also being found on the railroad system that crisscrosses South Texas.

Governor Abbott tweeted a Fox News report showing the apprehension of a multitude of migrants hiding on rail cars near Spofford, Texas.

Such smuggling activities put the migrants at great risk. Less than two weeks ago, a Honduran family suffered devastating injuries while being smuggled on a train in Maverick County, Breitbart Texas reported.

A 32-year-old man lost his hand after his arm was severed above the right wrist. His one-year-old child lost a finger in the same incident. His wife lost a leg from amputation as all three fell from the moving train.

Breitbart has dozens of reports of migrants being found in locked rail cars, often in the sweltering heat, with no water or means of escape.

Democrats Are Actively Seeking To Eradicate America’s Unique Culture

Today is day #279 of Democrats deliberately flooding America with non-Americans to intentionally eradicate American culture.

That sentence is worth unpacking a little.

Some might respond: “Why are you so against immigration? It isn’t ‘deliberate.’ Why would they do this on purpose? Even if it is on purpose, what can we do about it?”

First, we should correct some of the lies and deliberate mischaracterizations Democrats use to confuse things.

They accuse us of being “anti-immigration.” Immigration can be a wonderful thing. We all agree on that. The issue is legal versus illegal immigration. Period. Full stop. Democrats deliberately confuse the two in attempts to cover their toxic schemes with moral authority.

The legal/illegal distinction matters. It’s the difference between a mouth and a stab wound. Both are openings, or points of entry and exit, where things come in or go out of a system. One is orderly and leads to health. The other is disorderly and leads to the death of the organism. Right now, the open border is a national stab wound. Democrats are deliberately keeping the wound open.

“But it isn’t deliberate!”

If it isn’t deliberate, what’s the explanation? It is accidental? Are Biden, Harris, and the entire federal government of the United States trying really, really hard to stop it—as hard as they can—but it’s just too, too difficult?

If so, they’re incompetent. That’s one interpretation.

Another interpretation—which fits the facts of the situation much better—is that they’re doing it on purpose.

After all, they seem quite capable of defending turf when they want to. When they actually care about protecting something—like themselves, for example—they’re suddenly highly competent, fully capable of finding money and resources, and able to things done.

They built a wall. That’s one example. They built it around the Capital Building, remember? It was up and fully functional within days. They also seem extremely good at keeping people out of certain areas when it’s time to oversee vote-counting during an election, or when it’s time to protect their personal homes or gated neighborhoods. But when it’s our homes or neighborhoods, suddenly they’re flummoxed.

But why would they be doing it on purpose?

Answer: to gain power.

They pretend that they’re doing it for noble reasons. They care about other people, you see? They have only saintly motives.

But notice: they only flood America with individuals who are likely to vote Democrat.

They turn away Cuban refugees, for example. Why? Cubans know a little something about Communist hellholes, which makes them more likely to vote Republican.

Democrats also push for citizenship—including the right to vote—at every possible opportunity. This isn’t a coincidence. Those strategies are connected. Flood the country with likely Democrat voters plus give them the ability to vote, and that equals Democrat power.

Why else are they doing this?

They’re deliberately trying to destroy American culture.

American culture is unique. Freedom, individual rights, “In God We Trust,” free speech, the Second Amendment, freedom of religion, the shining city on the hill, self-reliance, rugged individualism—all of it. It’s unique. Democrats are working to deliberately eradicate this unique culture so they can “fundamentally transform” America into just another Marxist hellhole just like every other Marxist hellhole on the planet.

It’s the same strategy China used in Tibet. Deliberately flood a culture with individuals who don’t share, believe in, or want that culture. Once they water down and eradicate a unique culture—such as Tibet—it becomes much easier to “fundamentally transform” it into yet another Marxist hellhole.

In Tibet, they partly succeeded. They’re trying to do the same to America, right now.

America was built to avoid tyranny. That created a unique culture. Democrats want to instill tyranny, imagining it as will make their utopian fantasies come true. Utopia never actually arrives, of course, but the tyranny certainly does.

So, what can we do about it?

Three suggestions.

First: Vote Democrats the hell out of office at every possible opportunity, at every possible level, from national to local, from president to dogcatcher. Nearly every single one of them supports all of this, either out of weakness, stupidity, incompetence, or malice. They either know what they’re doing or they don’t. Neither is acceptable.

Second: Explain this strategy to friends, neighbors, and anyone within earshot. Too many Americans think tyranny arrives disguised as tyranny and are still fully blind to what’s happening. We need to open their eyes. They imagine they’re just being nice and helping people in need. They don’t see how they’re naïve rubes who are being manipulated and used as fools, saps, and suckers.

Third: We can contact our local representatives—especially lukewarm, invertebrate, or pseudo-Republicans who seem to be sleep-walking through all this. This is all happening on their watch. They think it’s business as usual. It isn’t. We need to smoke them out. If they say they’re against it but do nothing—then it’s time to vote them the hell out of office and replace them as soon as humanly possible.

But what can they do, especially if they aren’t in Texas or Arizona?

Here’s one extremely easy suggestion: Tweet. (Or even better: use Gettr, Gab, or Parler.)

For example:

This is day XXX of Democrats deliberately flooding America with non-Americans. Why are they doing this? To deliberately eradicate American culture to gain power.” #itsdeliberate

They should Tweet (Gettr/Gab/etc.) that same message every single day until something changes.

Tweeting is often useless performance art. But in this case, it could actually work. It keeps the pressure on. It exposes a game Democrats are trying to keep hidden. Otherwise, everyone gets distracted, people stop paying attention, and it keeps happening. This problem is urgent. The effects of this cannot be undone. If they can’t be bothered to even tweet, then they’ve demonstrated spinelessness, and it’s time to vote them the hell out of office as soon as humanly possible.

If we play this right, it can become an opportunity to make our side stronger. Democrats have stopped hiding. The mask is off. They’re nearly operating openly as the anti-American communists they really are. Now, we need to shine a spotlight on it so more people notice.

This makes persuasion much easier. It’s an opportunity to smoke out invertebrate Republicans and replace them with real Americans. We can expose the tactics the Democrats/Communists are using to try to destroy America from within and rebuild our immune system against them.

We can also make the case that some immigrants are fleeing the kind of corrupt Marxist hellholes into which Democrats/Communists are trying to transform America. But some of them might actually want freedom, opportunity, law and order, and a place where they can live their best possible lives.

This means they want to become Americans.

This means they should vote against communism and socialism. Or, to be redundant: they should vote against Democrats.

This is an age of information and psychological warfare. The game has changed.

It’s time for more Americans to wake up to this new game and get out on the field.

llegal Alien Accused of Beating to Death 74-Year-Old Elderly Woman

An illegal alien has been charged with murdering a 74-year-old elderly woman, his aunt, in Polk County, Florida, before fleeing to Houston, Texas.

Aroldo Enrique Paz, a 39-year-old illegal alien, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, grand theft, and tampering with evidence for allegedly beating to death his 74-year-old aunt, Perfecta Paz Paz, and then burying her body in a shallow grave.

“This is the beginning of making sure he is held accountable for this brutal and senseless murder,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement. “Our continued thoughts and prayers are with Perfecta Paz Paz’s family.”

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Paz Paz was last seen by her sister on the morning of October 12. Her sister told police she arrived at Paz Paz’s residence to find Enrique Paz in the backyard of the residence.

Enrique Paz claimed that Paz Paz had left the residence, but when her sister returned to the residence the next day, she noticed that Enrique Paz was gone, as well as his car, his belongings, Paz Paz, and the woman’s cash.

Another relative told police that when she last spoke to Paz Paz on October 12, the woman expressed that she and Enrique Paz fought, prompting her to want to move out of the residence. When police searched the residence for Paz Paz, they found soil that had been disturbed.

Paz Paz’s body was subsequently found buried in a shallow grave, revealing indications that she had been violently beaten to death. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for Enrique Paz’s arrest, suspecting that he may have fled to Texas.

On October 18, Enrique Paz was located and arrested by the United States Marshals Service and is set to be extradited back to Polk County to face the murder charges.

The arrest comes as an illegal alien from Guatemala has been charged with killing a five-year-old girl in a hit-and-run, drunk driving crash in Polk County this week.

llegal Alien Pleads Guilty, Gets Life in Prison for Murdering Four Americans

An illegal alien charged with murdering four Americans over the course of a week in Nevada in 2019 will plead guilty and accept a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, prosecutors revealed.

Wilbur Ernesto Martinez-Guzman, a 20-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged with murdering 56-year-old Connie Koontz, 74-year-old Sophia Renken, 81-year-old Gerald David, and his 80-year-old wife, Sharon David, between January 10 and 15 after prosecutors said he was looking to steal money from his victims to buy more meth.

The state of Nevada had sought the death penalty against Martinez-Guzman but his defense argued that he was “mentally disabled” and thus ineligible for the death penalty.

Last week, Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks and Douglas County District Attorney Mark Jackson announced that Martinez-Guzman would be pleading guilty to all four murders, as well as pleading guilty to related burglary and firearm charges.

As a result, Martinez-Guzman has agreed to accept four consecutive life in prison sentences without parole and an additional 214 years in prison for the related crimes, according to Hicks and Jackson.

Larry David, the son of Gerald and Sharon David, said he and his family “fully support … this weighty decision” to accept life in prison for their parents’ murderer. The Davids are survived by four children, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

“From the point from which this horrific event took place for all of us … our hearts are broken,” David said. “And the pain that endures will never be ending.”

“While no verdict will ever bring healing … as a family, we do trust God that he has carried us and that he will continue to go before each and every one of us,” he continued.

In January 2019, days after New Years, Martinez-Guzman stole a handgun from the Davids who had hired him to landscape their property. Police said Martinez-Guzman used the handgun to then murder Koontz and Renken, whom he robbed for drug money, before returning to the Davids’ home to murder them as well.

The Angel Family of Gerald and Sharon David, a month later, were honored at then-President Trump’s State of the Union address.

“I will never forget, and I will fight for the memory of Gerald and Sharon, that it should never happen again,” Trump said. “Not one more American life should be lost because our nation failed to control its very dangerous border.”

Decoding the Heinous Train Rape in Philadelphia

It was around 9.15 pm on October 13, 2021, in northeast Philadelphia. Around 11 passengers were on board a SEPTA train, most probably on their way home. Among the passengers was a woman who had accidentally boarded the wrong train.

According to charging documents obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer, a homeless man by the name of Fiston Ngoy entered the train a minute later and attempted to strike up a conversation with the woman. He subsequently moved to the seat next to her.

Photo via Upper Darby Police

Ngoy then spent nearly 45 minutes that included 27 stops harassing the woman, groping her, and touching her breast, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer. The woman struggled to restrain Ngoy. He eventually ripped her clothes off and raped her.

Thankfully, an off-duty SEPTA employee who boarded the train later witnessed the violence in progress and called 911.

According to the Daily Mail, Ngoy entered the US from the Congo on a student visa in 2012 but remained after his visa was terminated in 2015 and was protected from deportation by the immigration system despite multiple convictions as recent as this May.

Court records show that Ngoy had multiple arrests dating back to 2015 and two misdemeanor convictions, one for controlled substances and one for sexual abuse.

He pleaded guilty to the sex charge in 2017 and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, and was then placed in immigration detention in January 2018.

However, Ngoy was never deported, because an immigration judge granted him a 'withholding of removal' in March 2019, after an appeals board found that his sex crime was not a “serious crime” that made him eligible for removal.

Since then, Ngoy has been free and required only to check in periodically with Immigration and Customs Enforcement under an order of supervision.

He was arrested twice more in the past year, for disorderly conduct

An innocent woman was accordingly subjected to unspeakable violence, because of a failed immigration system and the irresponsibility of an immigration judge.

To say this is outrageous is an understatement.

This once again proves the urgent need to ensure fix the broken immigration system and to deport criminal illegal aliens immediately.

However, that wasn’t the only outrage on display that fateful day.

What astounded many including law enforcement officials is that the passengers around allowed the assault to occur.

Nobody expected passengers to physically confront and restrain the rapist. That would have been brave, but also very risky; if the man had been armed, he could have started indiscriminately shooting out of desperation, causing the loss of many lives.

There are a few probable reasons why people didn’t intervene the moment Ngoy began touching the women despite the protest.

The perpetrator, as we know, is a Black man.

Consider a scenario where some men on board the train had intervened and restrained the perpetrator the moment he started behaving inappropriately. Let’s also imagine the scenarios where one among them was Caucasian.

How would the mainstream media have reacted?

What are the odds that the men would have been called racist with MSNBC’s Joy Reid leading the charge?

What are the odds that the actions of the perpetrator would have been downplayed and the protectors were called a modern-day lynch mob?

What are the odds that they and their families would have been hounded till the end of time rendering them unemployable?

What are the odds that activist lawyers and politicians, looking to score easy points, would have dragged them through the legal system, twisted their statements, tarnished their image forever, and destroyed all they had with mounting legal bills for defense?

What are the odds that they would have been lauded and applauded for being heroes?

We all know the answers to the above questions.

To protect our fellow human beings should always be our first instinct.

However, in the current climate, people do think twice, because the risks can be life-destroying.

In fact, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that quickly calling 911 could have been regarded as a racist act.

The narrative probably would have been that a person of color was merely attempting to talk to a woman, but a racist called 911, and the racist police restrained him.

They once again would probably have been subjected to coordinated harassment and cancellation would probably follow.

Preventing a crime is the best way to fight crime. But since the incident had never occurred, it could be spun the narrative to actually make the preventer look like the perpetrator.

Another possible reason for people's reticence to call 911 is that nobody wants to get mixed up with the police unless it is absolutely necessary.

However, we still haven’t reached the bottom of the barrel.

The passengers in the train reportedly recorded videos of the unspeakable act of barbarity with their cellphones.

Were they filming so they can present it as evidence for the police? A slim possibility of that being the case, but nevertheless a possibility.

Considering the heinousness of the crime it is unlikely that any media outlet or agency would pay for these videos, as they usually do for rare video footage.

The other most probable reason is what psychiatrists call bystander apathy.

This is related to the bystander effect, a phenomenon in which people witness someone else in peril, but do nothing to intervene or offer assistance.

One of the primary reasons for apathy is the lack of human contact.

Apathy was already a serious problem, and Covid19 lockdowns have made matters worse.

When there is no face-to-face contact for prolonged periods of time, human compassion and understanding begin to erode.

In current times, face-to-face meetings have been replaced by social media where people receive gratification via likes, emoticons, or terse comments. Where users frequently join online lynch mobs and follow trends without thought, and where each tries to be more outrageous to gain attention.

Perhaps the people filming the videos thought they could share it in some form on social media or on private chat groups -- i.e., it was something sensational that would keep them occupied for a few days.

We thus have three serious issues.

The first is the lack of enforcement of immigration laws; the fault here lies solely with the government.

The second is the fear of the public to prevent a crime because they do not want to be subjected to scrutiny and be called racist.  The fault here lies with the proclivity of those in the position of power to view every occurrence from the prism of race or identity.

The third is general apathy such that they film the crime instead of stopping it; the fault lies with social media addiction.

Tragically a young woman may have suffered certainly because of the first and probably because of the second and third.

Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom before you rise and take remedial action.

If there is any positive to be derived from this appalling incident?  Let's hope it serves as a wake-up call.

Illegal Alien, Released into U.S., Charged with Raping Woman on Pennsylvania Train

Fiston Ngoy

An illegal alien, released into the United States by the federal government, is accused of raping a woman on a Pennsylvania train as passengers filmed on their cellphones and did not intervene.

Fiston Ngoy, a 35-year-old illegal alien from the Republic of the Congo, was arrested and charged with raping a woman on a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) train on the evening of October 13.

According to a report by Fox News’s Alex Pfeiffer and Adam Shaw, Ngoy originally arrived in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa in 2012. By 2015, though, Ngoy’s visa was terminated and he began living as an illegal alien after failing to self-deport.

Since then, Ngoy has allegedly accumulated a criminal record including pleading guilty to sexual abuse and was ordered released into the U.S. by a federal immigration judge in 2019, according to Fox News:

Meanwhile, court records show that he racked up “multiple arrests and two misdemeanor convictions, one for controlled substances and one for sexual abuse.” Ngoy pled guilty in 2017 in Washington D.C. to the sexual abuse misdemeanor and was sentenced to 120 days in prison and nine months probation. He was put in immigration detention in Jan. 2018. [Emphasis added]

However, he was never deported because he received a “withholding of removal” from an immigration judge in March 2019 after the Board of Immigration Appeals found that his misdemeanor sex offense was not a “serious crime” that would have made him ineligible for such a stay. [Emphasis added]

As a result, Ngoy was released and only had to report into Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under an order of supervision (OSUP). OSUPs involve conditions being placed on those who have been temporarily released from custody until they are able to be deported, typically involving regular check ins. [Emphasis added]

According to the Upper Darby Police Department, Ngoy raped the woman whom he did not know as passengers did not intervene and as some took out their cellphones to seemingly film the assault.

“Were they watching? I don’t know. Again, we’re still going through the video but there was a lot of people, in my opinion, that should’ve intervened,” Upper Darby Police Superintendent Tim Bernhardt told local media.

“Somebody should’ve done something. It speaks to where we are in society,” Bernhardt continued. “Who would allow something like that to take place? So it’s troubling but again, we’re working on that and we’re trying to identify anyone that we saw coming on and off the El at that time.”

Migrant Apprehensions at Texas-Based Border Sectors in 2021 Nearly Matches Dallas Population

The number of migrants apprehended in the five Texas-based Border Patrol Sectors nearly matched the population of the state’s third-largest city, Dallas. Agents apprehended nearly 1.2 million migrants during the recently ended fiscal year.

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, Del Rio, Big Bend, and El Paso Sectors apprehended 1,151,796 migrants, according to the September Southwest Border Land Encounters Report released last Friday by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials. If these nearly 1.2 million migrants were placed into a single location, its population would rival that of Dallas’ 1.3 million residents. It would surpass the state’s capital city of Austin’s population of more than 961,000.

The apprehension of migrants in the five Texas-based Border Patrol sectors represents nearly 70 percent of the 1.66 million migrants apprehended along the entire southwest border with Mexico, the report reveals.

The 1.2 million migrants apprehended in the Texas-based sectors include 354,941 family units — an increase of more than 1,000 percent over Fiscal Year 2020. It also includes 683,139 single adults (a 255 percent increase) and 113,716 unaccompanied alien children (a 456 percent increase).

In response to the worsening crisis along the Texas border, Governor Greg Abbott launched Operation Lone Star to assist the federal government in its responsibility to secure the border with Mexico. In June, Governor Abbott told Breitbart Texas, in an exclusive interview, the State of Texas would begin building its own border barrier system.

Abbott said Texas will immediately begin construction of border barriers in areas like Del Rio where migrants can easily cross unsecured sections. The governor picked Del Rio as the location for his announcement due to the massive increases in illegal border crossings in this region. By the end of the fiscal year, Del Rio Sector agents apprehended 259,294 migrants — the second-largest total along the southwest border and a 542 percent increase over the previous year’s total of only 40,342.

The operation also included the deployment of 2,500 Texas National Guard soldiers and more than 1,000 Texas Department of Public Safety troopers with orders to arrest any migrants found violating state laws, Breitbart Texas reported.

“As of October 7, the operation has resulted in 6,799 criminal arrests, 1,195 migrant prosecution cases for criminal trespass, and more than 71,000 migrant apprehensions,” the article by Randy Clark reports. “The highway patrol has been involved in more than 800 pursuits since the inception of the operation.”

Federal agents raided Q.T Fashion and numerous other businesses in the downtown fashion district Wednesday, cracking down on a scheme that cartels are increasingly relying on to get their profits — from drug sales, kidnappings and other illegal activities — back to Mexico, authorities said.

Nine people were arrested in raids targeting 75 locations, and $90 million was seized — $70 million in cash. In one condo, agents found $35 million stuffed in banker boxes. At a mansion in Bel-Air, they discovered $10 million in duffel bags.

"Los Angeles has become the epicenter of narco-dollar money laundering with couriers regularly bringing duffel bags and suitcases full of cash to many businesses," said Robert E. Dugdale, the assistant U.S. attorney in charge of federal criminal prosecutions in Los Angeles.

An Eagle Pass, Texas, man was sentenced last week to 360 months in federal prison for his role in a human smuggling event which resulted in the deaths of five migrants. The case stems from a June 2018 incident when Monsivais led authorities on a deadly high-speed chase.

Court documents state Jorge Luis Monsivais Jr., 23, was driving a Suburban on Texas Farm to Market Road 2644 with 13 migrants when Border Patrol attempted to stop the vehicle. Monsivais tried to evade and eventually crashed on Highway 85 near Big Wells. Several occupants were ejected. Four died at the scene and another passed away during transport to a hospital. Others suffered serious injuries.

On May 11, 2021, Monsivais pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in death; one count of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in serious bodily injury; one count of conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; one count of illegal alien transportation resulting in death; and one count of illegal alien transportation resulting in serious bodily injury.

Four co-defendants previously pleaded guilty in this case and were sentenced, bringing a close to the matter. On July 29, 2019, 58-year-old Mexican Marcial Gomez Santana pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in death; conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in serious bodily injury; conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens; and harboring illegal aliens for private financial gain. Gomez was later sentenced to 262 months in federal prison for his role.

On August 20, 2019, Marcial’s son and daughter, 24-year-old Rudy Gomez of Hockley and 22-year-old Johana Gomez of Houston, along with 48-year-old Mexican citizen Mariela Reyna, all pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens. Each of these defendants were sentenced to 10 years in prison and financial restitution to the victims.

HSI investigated this case with the U.S. Border Patrol—Del Rio Sector and the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Amy Hail and John Kennedy prosecuted this case.

Border Patrol agents in South Texas continue to find “large groups” of migrants streaming across the Rio Grande from Mexico. The large groups continue the record-setting trend of migrant crossings that led to the apprehension of more than 1.7 million in the recently ended fiscal year.

The new fiscal year began on October 1 and, already, agents are experiencing the complications of processing large groups consisting of at least 100 persons apiece. Some of these large groups contain previously deported criminal aliens, sex offenders, and gang members.

Rio Grande Valley Sector Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings tweeted photos of a large group of 169 migrants apprehended near La Grulla, Texas late last week.

The photos show the group included small children and adults. Agents identified the group of 169 migrants as citizens of El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Border Patrol officials classify groups of 100 or more migrants as “large groups.”

Agents also find criminal migrants and gang members hiding in many of these groups.

Hastings tweeted a message late last week reporting the arrest of three dangerous gang members in a matter of hours. Those arrests included one for a gang member with charges pending for homicide, fraud, and trespassing from a New York court.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Texas Army National Guard troops and equipment deployed by Governor Greg Abbott moved in to block a portion of the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas. The troops began arriving on Friday and positioned themselves along a one-mile stretch of the river near the downtown area of the city.

The troops are stationed in Humvee vehicles carefully placed along the riverbank to serve as a deterrent to illegal crossings near the city. Nearly 30 vehicles are parked less than 150 feet from each other facing Mexico. Border Patrol agents in the area tell Breitbart Texas that more troops were scheduled to arrive later in the day.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, the area surrounding the ports of entry in Eagle Pass are known as high traffic areas for illegal crossings and are problematic for the Border Patrol due to the proximity to private residences in the city. Although many migrants choose to surrender hoping for quick release into the United States, many others, usually single adults, attempt to elude apprehension. Deterring migrants from crossing in the area prevents a quick escape into the populated areas within the city.

Governor Abbott utilized a similar tactic during the Haitian migrant crisis in Del Rio in September. Texas Highway Patrol troopers strategically placed vehicles along the river bank to prevent additional migrants from reaching the camp near a common crossing point in the area.

A short distance away, construction crews are working to build Abbott’s border wall where the guard troops’ blockade ends. For two miles, the Texas border wall will stand 18’ tall and stretch along one of the busiest migrant crossing areas in Eagle Pass. A source involved in the construction tells Breitbart the project is progressing quickly. The source expects a state delegation to visit the construction site soon to observe the progress firsthand.

The National Guard deployment is part of Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star that has been in effect since March. The operation involves the deployment of more than 1,000 Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Troopers and 2,500 Texas Army National Guard soldiers to the border region across the state.

As of October 7, the operation has resulted in 6,799 criminal arrests, 1,195 migrant prosecution cases for criminal trespass, and more than 71,000 migrant apprehensions. The highway patrol has been involved in more than 800 pursuits since the inception of the operation.

Recent Operational Activities of note include:

  • On October 5 in Jeff Davis County a traffic stop yielded six firearms, ammunition, several magazines, cocaine, THC, and $5,600 in cash. A migrant in the vehicle was referred to U.S. Border Patrol.
  • On Oct. 5 in Hidalgo County, Special Agents and Troopers seized 218 pounds of cocaine.
  • On Oct. 6, a vehicle pursuit in Edwards County involved the female driver and passenger live streaming it on Facebook. The pursuit ended when a tire deflation device was deployed, and the vehicle crashed. Five migrants in the vehicle were injured. Law enforcement found a handgun in the vehicle, as well as a small quantity of marijuana.
  • On Oct. 11 the Texas Army National Guard and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers collaborated in spotting and monitoring seven armed men in body armor on the Mexico side of the Rio Grande River near Starr County.

Texas Border County Government Coalition Forms to Demand More Help from Austin

TDEM Assistant Chief Tony Pena and District Coordinator Fernando Perez

UVALDE, Texas – The local governments of Kinney County, Uvalde County, and the City of Uvalde joined to form a commission to help residents negatively impacted by the ongoing border crisis. The local coalition is authorized under Section 391 of the Texas Local Government Code. At the first meeting, commission members demanded action and answers of representatives from the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

Assistant Chief Tony Pena and District Coordinator Fernando Perez with TDEM sat quietly as members of the newly formed 391 Border Coalition voiced frustration with issues caused by the influx of migrants into Kinney and Uvalde Counties. The members asked the TDEM to work toward better communication with local governments and provide more support as they deal with the influx.

Henry Garcia, Kinney County EMS Coordinator, says the influx robbed residents of emergency services on some occasions. Garcia says in a normal year during hunting seasons, his department usually treats three rattlesnake victims. This year, 14 migrants were treated for bites, sometimes requiring transfer to San Antonio for critical care.

Garcia says his EMS technicians are providing emergency care to 9 of every 15 migrants arrested in his county. “We aren’t transporting that many, most are treated on the scene for respiratory issues and dehydration, but we still have to respond,” he said.

Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe told the TDEM his department needed more personnel and equipment. Coe is asking from more Texas State Highway Patrolmen and funding to replace antiquated radio systems.

Coe says his county is prosecuting hundreds of migrants per month for criminal trespass and believes the area needs boosted detention facilities. He says area ranchers are sustaining continuous damages to fences which negatively impacts cattle companies.

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told the TDEM the region needs refrigerated facilities to hold deceased migrants. “I can’t send local decedents from our community to San Antonio because our facilities are full–that is unacceptable,” McLaughlin said.

McLaughlin told the TDEM his community dispatched all six available ambulances on one occasion to treat migrants in need of care at the local rail yard. That left residents with impaired emergency response capabilities for most of the day. McLaughlin says local schools have been locked down 48 times this year due to high-speed pursuits and migrants fleeing law enforcement in his city.

McLaughlin said local law enforcement is dealing with armed smugglers and migrants with convictions including murder and sex offenses. “When the Haitian crisis was going on, the border leading to our city was wide open, there appears to be no end in sight, we need help and answers,” he explained.

Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith told the TDEM they are doing all Governor Greg Abbott has asked of local authorities. “We have prosecuted 800 criminal cases in one month when our average is 10 during normal times,” he said. “We’re doing it, but it is hurting us at the same time.”

Kinney County Judge Tully Shahan says the commission is worried about the “Human Tsunami” that is probably on its way.

TDEM Assistant Chief Pena explained to the commission he shares their concerns and that other areas within the state are experiencing similar difficulties. Pena promised the commission he would seek answers and pursue solutions expeditiously.

Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector apprehended a group of more than 100 migrants after they illegally crossed from Mexico. Officials report the group consisted of migrants from Cuba and Venezuela.

Del Rio Sector officials tweeted an image showing a large group of migrants apprehended by Eagle Pass Station agents. The tweet states the group of Venezuelan and Cuban migrants illegally crossed the border Wednesday morning.

The agents arrested the migrants and transported them to the Border Patrol processing facility, officials stated.

Sector officials reported nine other smuggling attempts across the sector on Tuesday. Officials did not release the total number of migrants apprehended in these human smuggling attempts.

“Many of these human smugglers are career criminals whose criminal convictions include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assaultive family contact, fugitive from another state, and DWI,” the tweet states.

The Del Rio Sector is currently the second busiest of the nine southwestern Border Patrol sectors. During the first 11 months of Fiscal Year 21, the agents apprehended nearly 215,000 migrants. This represents an increase of 533 percent over the same period in FY2020.

Texas Dem. Legislator Calls on Biden to Approve Border Emergency Declaration

Texas State Representative Eddie Morales, Jr. (D-Eagle Pass) penned a letter to President Joe Biden requesting approval of Governor Greg Abbott’s border emergency declaration. An approval by the president would allow FEMA to reimburse residents for damages caused by migrants.

“Last week, on October 13th, I wrote to President Biden urging him to grant a Federal Emergency Authorization for the border crisis,” Representative Morales wrote in a Facebook post about the letter. “Initially, he rejected to grant a Federal Emergency Authorization, but Texas is now appealing.”

In June, Governor Abbott told Breitbart Texas he would issue a State of Emergency Declaration along the state’s border with Mexico.

“The influx across the border is out of control, and the Biden Administration has shown that is not going to step up and do its job,” Governor Abbott told Breitbart Texas shortly before the public announcement on June 10. “And amidst reports of even more people coming in across the border, we know we have to step up and do more.”

President Biden refused the application for FEMA support and has not spoken with Abbott a single time since his inauguration.

“I am fighting hard for President Biden to grant this authorization because I believe families should not have to bear the financial responsibility from the damages brought on by migrant crossings,” Morales continued in his Facebook post. “My office has received reports from families of migrants coming up to their homes, and in some instances, breaking in. We have also heard reports of ranchers having their fences cut and people’s water lines severed. Victims of this damage should not bear the financial responsibility of repairs.”

In July, Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening told Breitbart Texas, “The sheer magnitude and number of people moving through is overwhelming. The brashness and expectations of the people is different than years ago.”

In the article with Boening’s interview, Texas farmers and ranchers described the fear they live under and the cost of damage created by the historic mass migrants across the border with Mexico.

“Families and individuals along the border are often scared for their safety,” Morales wrote in the letter to Biden. “The people I represent — the people who live in these communities — do not deserve to be subject to this fear, nor should they be subject to having to pay for the damages to their property.”

“Democrat to Democrat, this does not need to be a partisan matter,” the Texas state rep. continued. “These communities are pleading for the safety and security of American and Texas citizens.”

Morales said the burden on his constituents is too great and their community resources are too minimal to deal with this border crisis.

“We need help and relief,” Morales concluded. “I ask that we put partisan politics aside and the federal government approve relief for communities who can no longer bear the costs.”

NORMANDY, Texas — The Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector is starting the new fiscal year off at a record pace with more than 170 mostly Venezuelan migrants apprehended in a single group early Monday morning. The migrants surrendered 15 miles north of Eagle Pass.

The small farming community of about 100 residents is accustomed to the stream of migrants crossing nearby but groups this large used to be rare. In recent weeks, things have changed. After significant media attention related to the Haitian migrant crisis in Del Rio, the large migrant groups are choosing Normandy over more populated areas in the sector.

A state-funded border wall is currently being constructed in Eagle Pass that may also be affecting where the mostly Venezuelan migrants choose to cross. That project, as reported by Breitbart Texas, is underway and has been the location of previous large group apprehensions. That project will cover approximately 2 miles of the busiest crossing point in Eagle Pass.

The Border Patrol apprehended another large migrant group in the small community several weeks ago. The group, consisting of more than 80 mostly Venezuelan migrants, chose Normandy as their entry point during the first weekend in October. As reported by Breitbart Texas, one farmer expressed frustration over the increase in traffic as smugglers abandoned several unaccompanied children on his land.

The migrants arrested on Monday were transported to a nearby Border Patrol processing facility in Eagle Pass. Once complete, most of the migrants will be released into the local community.

Border Patrol agents working along the southwest U.S. border with Mexico continue to rescue migrants left in distress by human smugglers.

Rio Grande Valley Sector agents patrolling the border near Roma, Texas, late last week encountered a migrant needing emergency medical care, according to a tweet from Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings. The migrant fell into diabetic shock requiring immediate attention.

A Border Patrol medic provided initial care and arranged transportation of the migrant to a local hospital for treatment and recovery, Hastings reported.

Laredo Sector agents rescued two little boys on Thursday and reunited them with their mother after a human smuggler abandoned them in a swiftly moving creek along the Rio Grande, Breitbart Texas reported.

“As the foot guide began to lose balance, he let go of one of the children,” officials reported. “The child was able to find a nearby rock to cling to in the currents. The foot guide then abandoned the other child in the creek before returning to Mexico.”

One of the agents quickly jumped into the water and rescued the two children before they could be swept away.

San Diego Sector agents teamed up with California fire officials to rescue a severely dehydrated migrant man and wife in the San Ysidro Moutain Range on October 13. The CalFire rescue helicopter crew performed an air extraction and flew the couple to a hospital for treatment.

“Agents save lives while upholding the law,” San Diego Sector Acting Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Scott Garrett tweeted.

During the first 11 months of FY21, the latest available statistics, Border Patrol agents along the nine southwest border sectors rescued 11,406 migrants. This more than doubles the previous year’s total of 5,071 and is more than the two previous years combined.

Migrant Stowaways Lose Limbs After Train Accident in Texas near Border

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Members of a Honduran migrant family suffered severe injuries after falling from a moving freight train. Three of the four family members lost limbs. A Maverick County Sheriff deputy came across the grizzly scene and summoned medical personnel to assist on Tuesday.

A 32-year-old man’s arm was severed above the right wrist after falling under a moving train. The man’s one year old child was injured as the wheels severed a finger. The man’s wife suffered a leg amputation. According to a Border Patrol report, the family members were not placed into custody at the accident scene due to the severity of the injuries. The family’s other child was uninjured.

Four unrelated migrants, later arrested by the Border Patrol, provided first aid to the family until law enforcement arrived. The family was transferred to a hospital in San Antonio, Texas, for advanced care.

Freight trains are notoriously unfriendly to stowaways. Accidents and fatalities can occur when migrants are struck, crushed by shifting cargo, suffocated, or overexposed. As reported by Breitbart Texas, law enforcement authorities across the southwest border are routinely encountering migrants using the freight trains to leave the immediate border area.

With the ongoing surge in border crossings and accompanying burdens of providing humanitarian aid, fewer agents are available to conduct train inspections. The staffing challenges preclude the Border Patrol from conducting routine freight train inspections at rail yards. The task mostly falls to local and state law enforcement authorities as a result.
