Another tragedy incited by leftist rhetoric.
“A joyous scene of marching bands and children dancing in Santa hats and waving pompoms turned deadly in an instant,” AP reported Sunday, “as an SUV sped through barricades and into a Christmas parade in suburban Milwaukee, killing at least five people and injuring more than 40 others.” A suspect was quickly taken into custody: Darrell E. Brooks, 39, a serial felon with the proverbial record as long as your arm, including arrests for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Domestic Abuse, Disorderly Conduct, and Battery. As bad as his record is, however, nothing in it approaches the sheer horror of what he did on Sunday, an act that many are saying was intended to be revenge for the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. If that turns out to be true, the responsibility for Darrell Brooks’ murderous act must be placed squarely at the feet of the establishment media.
It is not certain that Brooks intended his act as revenge for Rittenhouse’s acquittal, although he did post about the verdict on Facebook just after being freed on $1,000 cash bail on November 19. He was in jail, by the way, for running over a woman with his car. Brooks’ post just noted the verdict; when a commenter responded, “Doesn’t surprise me, what a joke,” Brooks replied: “frfr…but u rite,I wasn’t surprised 1 bit.”
Brooks has also posted in support of Black Lives Matter and George Floyd, and in 2016, he posted a graphic on Facebook labeled “White Privilege 101: Racial Profiling,” claiming that police officers responded differently to whites and blacks simply standing beside a car. He also posted a quote stating: "Run them over. Keep traffic flowing & don't slow down for any of these idiots..."
However, according to CBS News, “a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation says the suspect who drove into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, WI. was fleeing another scene - possibly a knife fight - when he ran into & over some people.” However, a law enforcement official later stated, “There was no pursuit that led up to this incident.”
The same official added, “This was not a terrorist event,” but it was unclear why not. Brooks deliberately drove into the crowd at the Waukesha Christmas parade, likely because he was enraged over the perceived injustice of the Rittenhouse verdict. How exactly is that not a terrorist event?
In any case, the real responsibility for Brooks’s murders lies with the establishment media and the Leftists who dominate American popular culture. MSNBC’s Joy Reid lamented the supposed exonerating power of “white tears.” NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, who was widely reported as being the victim of a hate crime last year when a noose was discovered in his garage (the FBI determined that it was a garage-door puller), tweeted: “Ha, let the boy be black and it would’ve been life…hell he would’ve had his life taken before the bullshit trial.. sad.” Ohio congressional candidate Nina Turner agreed: “If Kyle Rittenhouse were Black, he would’ve been killed for holding that weapon. What’s a justice system without justice?!?!” Keith Boykin, author of Race Against Time: The Politics of a Darkening America, added: “I knew it. Kyle Rittenhouse is proof that white people can still break the law, carry illegal weapons, shoot and kill people, and get away with it in America by shedding tears and claiming self-defense.” Fox News’ featured Leftist Juan Williams had the same point of view: “If this had been a black teenager who had done this, wow, I think the laws might have treated him a little differently.”
White actress Sophia Bush was also enraged: “The miscarriage of justice today is enraging. This is white supremacy in action. This is hideous. He murdered people, bragged about it while throwing white power signs in a bar, and then manufactured tears to claim that despite his AR-15 HE was in danger. And he got off. Unreal.” Creepy storyteller Stephen King asked: “So…the white guy goes free. Is that the message?”
No. It was a clear-cut case of self-defense, but the media’s message after Rittenhouse’s acquittal was clearly that this was another case of racism in Amerikkka, and that Rittenhouse would have been dead already if he were black. This was the message despite the fact that on the same day that Rittenhouse was acquitted, a black man Andrew Coffee IV was also acquitted of a murder charge on self-defense grounds. But the media talking heads had little or nothing to say about Coffee as they did all they could to stir up rage over Rittenhouse.
Brooks’ rage may also have been fueled by the Nation of Islam’s race hatred; he was reportedly a member of the Five Percenters, a hardline Nation offshoot. This could even have given him the idea to commit murder with his car, as vehicular jihad is a common jihadi tactic.
It is clear in any case that Brooks was incited to rage, hatred and violence by establishment media myths. The Left’s lies kill. They killed five people in Waukesha on Sunday; these weren’t their first victims, and won’t be their last. But one thing is certain: the only thing the Leftist media will do in response to Brooks’ murders is double down. Watch for still more and newly virulent race victimhood hysteria from the Left. Conscience? Pah! It’s all just because it will bring about the revolution, comrade!

Leftists Panic, Redouble Effort to Keep Minorities 'In Their Place'
When the leader of your party can only be viewed as popular when compared to the number 2 person in your party, your party has problems. That’s where Democrats find themselves right now. The only person voters like less than President Joe Biden is Vice President Kamala Harris. It couldn’t happen to a nicer, more deserving group of humans. The panic it has started is not only something to behold, but something Republicans had better prepare for.
Republicans need to pay attention because Democrats painted into a corner will become more desperate than usual, and desperate Democrats are capable of some truly horrible things (think Bernie Bro James Hodgkinson).
Short of attempted mass murder, leftists are launching an effort to make sure that any black or brown person who looks at the generational failure of Democrat policies and considers a different path forward learns their place. The minority vote is the only voting bloc, aside from rich New York or Los Angeles liberals, that Democrats have been able take for granted. If even a small percentage of that vote entertains voting Republican, or even simply sitting out elections, it’s over for Democrats.
They know it, and leftists are scrambling to prevent it.
Business Insider reported this week about how progressive group “Stung by a gubernatorial loss in Virginia and a close call in New Jersey, progressives are getting impatient with the Democratic Party's organizing efforts and taking matters into their own hands, according to an internal memo seen by Insider.”
A leftist group “is getting more skilled organizers on the ground earlier to ensure Democratic message is resonating in communities of color,” according to the story. It’s essentially activists putting people of color on notice that they’d better learn, know, and obey their place in the Democratic Party…or else.
The story reports, “A strategy memo the nonprofit Re:Power shared exclusively with Insider concluded that unless Democrats do so, they will continue to bleed support from single parents; Black, Latino, and Asian voters; and young people from underrepresented communities.”
Feel the sense of entitlement and ownership.
As if the “owning” of the minority vote weren’t enough, the story pretty much lays it out in plain language. Karundi Williams, executive director of Re:Power, told Business Insider, “The message continues to be against this villain versus what are you actually going to do for me and my community. Somehow I feel like the Republicans have found these bread-and-butter issues that are resonant with their communities more than our messaging is being resonant with our community.”
Note the “their communities” and “our community” bits. That’s a sense not only of belonging, but of ownership. Stray from what is expected, what is accepted, and watch your back. Ask Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, or Tim Scott how accepting and tolerant these left-wing activists when conformity is denies them, the answer isn’t pretty.
Democrats are terrified at the prospect of more minorities breaking with what they’ve deemed acceptable thoughts and actions. The story highlights “A Pew Research Center analysis estimated that 92% of Black voters and 59% of Hispanic ones picked Biden. Democrats know they can't afford to lose that support in the 2022 midterms and in the 2024 presidential election.”
That Hispanic number scares the hell out of Democrats. If they lose the Hispanic vote, it’s over.
How Democrats have gone about trying to win the Hispanic vote is the why they’re losing so much of it. Black voters have a history of slavery in this country. No one alive experienced it, but the liberal industrial complex controlling education and pop culture have people living in fear of a boogeyman who doesn’t exist anymore and was a Democrat when he did. It works – black voters in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, etc., vote for Democrats for generations because the alternative is worse, somehow, in their minds. That’s conditioning.
Hispanics don’t have that history. They have a history of oppression by socialism, by their government. That oppression was ushered in under the banner of compassion, as it always is. They or their families fled what Democrats are selling. All the identity politics in the world won’t change the stories told by grandmas and grandpas about how they ended up in the land of the free.
That’s what these progressive groups hope to, and need to, counter: reality. Lies can be very powerful, but never as powerful as personal experience. As Hispanics dabble in GOP voting, it might attract some interest from black voters who’ve noticed 50-60 years of blind loyalty has only led to the disintegration of cities and families. Something as small as a 5-10 percent shift there, and it’s game over for the left. They’ll do absolutely anything to prevent that.
