President Joe Biden: ‘In My Catholic Faith, I Think There’s a Prayer…’
(CNSNews.com) - President Joe Biden presided over the annual lighting of the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse, which is across the street from the White House, and cited his “Catholic faith” and St. Francis as he did so.
“As we enter this holiday season, in my Catholic faith, I think there’s a prayer attributed to St. Francis,” said Biden.
“It says: Where there is hatred, let there be to sow love; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; and where there is darkness, light,” said Biden.
“And that’s what we do. That’s who we are. That’s what the United States of America is all about,” he said.
Here is a transcript of Biden’s full remarks at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree:
President Joe Biden: “My name is Joe Biden. I am Jill Biden’s husband. On behalf of Jill and Kamala and Doug, we welcome you to the National Christmas Tree Lighting.
“Thanks to the Interior Secretary, Deb Haaland, for that introduction and her leadership. She has made me look awful good in my judgments. It is wonderful to join you here on your birthday, Madam Secretary. Happy birthday.
“Also thanks to the National Parks Service and Foundation that takes such great care of our national parks, and the 1,300 students around the country who created the ornaments that decorate the trees representing our states and our territories.
“And a special thanks to tonight’s host, LL Cool J. I’ll tell you what, man, he looks like he can still play. And I’m not talking about instruments; I’m talking about football or something. The man is—you know, anyway, I tell you what.
“But tonight’s world-renowned performers were just wonderful to sit there and listen to you and hear you and watch you.
“Over the course of the past 99 years, Presidents have continued this great America tradition of lighting the National Christmas Tree through war and peace, struggle and progress.
“You know, for the evergreen tree—it reminds us that even in the coldest, darkest days of winter that life and abundance will return.
“It’s a bright beacon of hope that reminds us of the promise we find in scripture of finding light in the darkness, which is also a very American thing to do — perhaps the most American of things: to find light. And it’s important to continue traditions like this one to remember that simple truth today.
“For all those lost during this pandemic, we have also seen how much there is to gain — the appreciation and gratitude of the gift of time and the light of goodwill that we share as we look out for one another.
“Jill and I are especially grateful to our service members and their families and for their sacrifices to our nation.
“We also—we also keep in our hearts those who lost a loved ones because of this virus or any other cruel twist of fate or accident. We pray for them to find strength from sorrow, purpose from pain.“And as we look out across the country with the promise of a new year ahead, we know this: We are a great nation because you–-the American people. You are a good people. And because of you, we will never been more optimistic about the future. You’ve made me so optimistic I can’t—I tell you what, we’re—we have so much ahead of us.

(CNSNews.com) - President Biden acknowledged Friday that he has a cold after delivering remarks on last month’s jobs numbers when a reporter pointed out that his voice “sounds a little different.”
“First of all, Mr. President, your voice sounds a little different. Are you okay?” Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy asked.
“I'm okay. I have a test every day to see -- a COVID test, checking for all the strands. What I have is a 1 1/2-year-old grandson who had a cold who likes to kiss his pop, and he has been kissing my--- anyway, but it’s just a cold,” Biden said.
“On COVID policy, it seems like the administration is starting to soften some of the language. There’s this new op-ed where you talk about covid and we are going to beat it back. Are you no longer going to shut it down?” Doocy asked,
“We have to beat it back before we shut it down. Look It’s going to take time worldwide. In order to beat COVID we have to shut it down worldwide. In the United States of America we’re doing everything that needs to be done to take care of the American people within our borders, but look what’s happened,” Biden said.
“We're starting to make some real progress and we find out there is another strain and the idea that you can build a wall around America to keep any COVID from around the world out is not there,” the president said.
“Besides, that's one of the reasons why I know we get criticized, I get criticized for not doing more for the world, but we've done more for the world in providing vaccines available and help than any other nation, every other nation in the world combined,” he said.
“In addition to that, we've also with regard to India and other countries and we're working around the clock, remember I suggested we suspend the patents. Let everybody be able to have access to this so they can make the vaccine in their own countries, and thirdly, in southern Africa, for example, South Africa has all the vaccines they need. They don't want anymore vaccines now,” Biden said.
“One of the things I'm considering is how can we help them deal with the issue of as I said before when the biggest challenge we had in the beginning of this administration in my view was not getting the vaccines produced, although that was not easy, and I've got to give President Trump early on went out and tried to -- got them to do the research to try to get the right vaccines, but logistically, logistically getting the vaccines from a container that gets delivered to you, to a hospital, to a state, to a -- and getting it into someone's arms is a very difficult thing and we did it better than anybody in the world who’s but we'll try to help other people,” he said.

Report: Hunter Biden’s Out-of-Wedlock Child Excluded from White House Christmas Decor
President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden displayed Christmas stockings for their six grandchildren inside the White House but apparently excluded their son Hunter Biden’s illegitimate daughter.
The New York Post noted on Wednesday:
The decorated State Dining Room celebrated the “Gift of Family,” the White House said, and the six stockings hanging over the fireplace were for Naomi, 27, Finnegan, 21, Maisy, 20, Natalie, 17, and Robert Hunter Biden II, 15, and little Beau, 1, according to the “Today” show. Hunter Biden’s 3-year-old daughter, Navy Jones Roberts — who was born out of wedlock to a stripper — was reportedly not included in the festive display. The family reportedly has not met the child.

Fifty-one-year-old Hunter previously denied being the father of Navy because he claimed he had “no recollection” of meeting the child’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts.
“That’s how little connection I had with anyone. I was a mess, but a mess I’ve taken responsibility for,” he wrote in his recent memoir titled Beautiful Things.
A DNA test established Hunter Biden as the father of the baby born out of wedlock in Arkansas, according to a motion filed in the state by the child’s mother’s legal counsel, Breitbart News reported in November 2019.
“In an October interview with Hunter Biden in October, ABC News’s Amy Robach did not ask the former vice president’s son about allegations that he fathered a child outside of marriage,” the article said.
“In May, Lunden Alexis Roberts sued Hunter Biden, filing a petition against him for paternity and child support,” it continued.
The Post reported that Roberts was on the payroll for Hunter’s consulting firm while she was pregnant in 2018 but was removed from its insurance plan once she gave birth, according to texts reviewed by the outlet.
Meanwhile, Hunter Biden was reportedly hailed as the “True sheikh of Washington” by former British SAS officer James Gilliar, who had close connections to one of the biggest energy companies in the world allied closely with the Chinese Communist Party, emails from Hunter’s “laptop from hell” showed.
“Gilliar’s high praise highlights Hunter’s notoriety as a power-broker between top figures in Washington and foreign clients seeking access to U.S. decision-making, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president,” Breitbart News reported Wednesday.
