Sen. Grassley examines the Biden family's business dealings
THESE ARE SIX OF THE MOST CORRUPT POLITICIANS
IN MODERN AMERICAN HISTORY! ALL ARE GAMER LAWYERS BUT GAMER INSIDE TRADER PELOSI
Inflation, Invasion, and Crime — Oh, My!
Inflation, invasion, and crime — oh, my! The next few months and years don't look particularly appealing. As central bank money-printing and unsustainable U.S. government spending combine with the world's nascent decoupling from the dollar as the global reserve currency to reveal just how worthless greenbacks are when not linked to real commodities such as gold, it is becoming undeniable that tough economic times lie ahead. Let's go, Brandon!
The Biden-Obama Gang has decided to respond to this unfolding crisis by spending more money on interest group welfare and crony capitalist pork-barrel projects, drilling for far less energy here at home, and becoming more dependent on the energy production of our enemies, including those we're already none too subtly engaging in open warfare. Not surprisingly, these moves will only usher in greater inflation and dollar debasement.
At the same time, the Marxist left's strategic use of mass illegal immigration to destroy American communities, weaken political opposition, and dissolve national unity is set to get much worse as the few remaining Trump administration security checks on an otherwise open southern border are replaced with overt inducements to break U.S. immigration law, including federal promises of free health care, cross-country relocation services, and public indoctrination (I mean education).
Homicides, thefts of personal property, and other violent crimes — already reaching grisly record milestones in cities across the country — will naturally continue to skyrocket as the combined effects of our economic and illegal immigration crises snowball together. This is not a pretty picture. It's the kind of opening movie text you expect to read before sitting back with a tub of popcorn to watch Snake Plissken struggle to survive post-apocalyptic America during his Escape from New York or L.A. (both pretty good life moves right now, by the way).
So here's our sobering reality: the economic system, as we know it today, is headed for a crash. The political system may well follow suit. Both crashes have been in the works for some time. And many of America's most wealthy and politically powerful have helped put the whole catastrophe into motion. It is true that power is like a pyramid whose apex is reached only by two kinds of animals: eagles and reptiles. Unfortunately for Americans, the reptiles have flourished and devoured our eagle population to near extinction.
If you're not certain which of our tormentors have their fingerprints on this mess, look for the same people who build walls and security perimeters around their offices; engage in unbridled censorship; habitually call their fellow Americans "traitors," "extremists," or "terrorists"; and routinely escape punishment for their own crimes while using the same criminal "justice" system to persecute their ideological foes. Generally speaking, if an individual is regularly addressed in government committee hearings as "the Honorable so-and-so," it is more likely than not that the same person has acted dishonorably to subvert the United States Constitution and distort the rule of law during the course of "so-and-so's" career. In American politics these days, just as within American finance, the worse you are as a person, the better off you will become.
This last observation is not unique to our time. One of the remarkable achievements of our Founding Fathers was their profound appreciation for human nature and sin. In their writings and committee debates, they surveyed thousands of years of human history and took ample opportunity to note the recurring deficiencies in government systems that eventually triggered those systems' collapse. Among their considered observations regarding the events leading to their break with England, as well as those events that had led to the fall of great nations in the distant past, they were in agreement that concentrated power always begets outright government tyranny and the surrender of God-given personal freedoms.
In contrast to the Biden-Obama Gang's celebration of institutional authorities, our Founding Fathers went to great pains to recognize that delegated powers remain at all times a threat to the lives and liberties of those governed. Rather than adoring professional government as the Marxist Brandon-Obama Gang does, the men who laid the bedrock of our current system saw it as a necessary evil. From this vantage point, they struggled to devise a government that was exceptional due not to its various powers, but rather to its functional limitations. Our Constitution is explicit in describing the few duties to be performed by government agents and equally explicit that, except when performing those few delegated responsibilities, the government has no power to abridge the innumerable inalienable rights and liberties of each citizen, whether or not those inherent freedoms are enumerated explicitly in the Bill of Rights. The U.S. Constitution is both a ball and chain intended to keep government power in check and a revolutionary document safeguarding powers held solely by the people. That its clear intent has been abrogated by an activist Judiciary, a corrupt Congress, and the authoritarian overreaches of several presidencies without a proper reckoning from the people has only emboldened the U.S. government to further betray its own charter.
In effect, the Founding Fathers grasped that the only way to prevent tyranny and preserve liberty is to diffuse power as much as possible across the entire population. For those obligations that require the formal architecture of government, the answer is to maintain an equilibrated system that keeps power balanced by forcing officeholders to remain in continuous competition with each other. As Milton Friedman noted two centuries later, "Unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing, the right people will not do the right thing, either, or if they try, they will shortly be out of office." In other words, when the deficiencies of human nature are directed against each other to prevent the aggregation of abusive power, the people benefit. When institutions of power are allowed to conspire against the people, however, the system will collapse.
This simple yet shrewd principle has long been the lynchpin to America's historic success. Likewise, the abandonment of this mechanism in exchange for an "Expert Class" system of government that operates above the law at the behest of lobbyists and bureaucrats beholden to no one has invariably led the United States to its current inflection point and myriad crises. Just as no manipulable fiat money system has ever survived for long, no governing system dedicated to its own powers and preservation, rather than the protection of those powers possessed by the people, has ever not ultimately devolved into tyranny. After two years of COVID-1984 madness, the reckless attempts by one-world-government globalists to expand and sustain their leverage through a "Great Reset," and the coming currency collapse and food shortages they've intentionally set into motion, the fruits of that tyranny are visible all around us.
What happens next is entirely in our hands. The more Westerners understand what the Marxist globalists have wrought, the more unwilling they will be to allow those same Marxist globalists to remain in power after our current troubles pass. When that time does arrive, Americans will benefit most by returning to the principles of government that first set them free. Other Western nations wishing to prosper would do well to follow in America's footsteps. And the Big Government parasites that have long worked to precipitate our current calamities would be wise to take seriously their dwindling options: get lost, get out of the way, or get run over.

Anybody watching what Obamacare's costs have been doing lately?
This wouldn't exactly be news to anyone who has to buy Obamacare health care insurance...
But for perspective, here's the latest on the 2010 government health care takeover that had been so vaunted in the press as Your-Government-Here-To-Help:
Tripled? We've got 7.9% inflation at last count, so this 'tripling,' even over the course of 12 years, with compounding increments, tops that.
So much for President Obama's claim that his signature health care bill would cut insurance costs and everyone would be so grateful and happy.
The archived White House website page had all the promises of rainbows and unicorns:
The Affordable Care Act, passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in March 2010, gives middle class families better health security by putting in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will hold insurance companies accountable, lower health care costs, guarantee more choice, and enhance the quality of care for all Americans.
Obamacare, though, was far from just Obama's baby. Its loudest cheerleader was "b-f-d" Joe Biden:
Who, since then, has continued to tout Obamacare, promising to "repair and renew it" as if such perfection could ever need such a thing, given the hype.
According to Politico, which took us back to the Democrat primaries of 2020:
Many Democrats to [Biden's] left, starting with Bernie Sanders and his “Medicare for All” proposal, called for scrapping the Affordable Care Act entirely in favor of a more sweeping government-financed single-payer health system. Biden resisted. He instead pledged to build on the existing law — a position that kept him in the center of the debate, while reminding Democratic voters of his role in passing the biggest health reform since Medicare.
Obamacare had survived the Trump administration’s attempts to repeal and replace it. Biden promised to repair and renew it. Fully realizing the promise of the sprawling legislation means addressing all three of its goals: expanding coverage, curbing costs and improving the still uneven quality of American health care.
In his first year in office Biden had some early successes getting more Americans covered — but his efforts have since stalled out.
Politico doesn't even get into the fact that the program to cut health care costs has actually delivered soaring costs.
It's bad out there, which highlights the growing failure of the program. Politico notes that various subsidies will be coming to an end just as the midterms start.
Even David Axelrod is complaining:
Axelrod? Wow.
Turns out that Obamacare, which replaced a marketplace of health care plans however imperfect (given that government interference was pretty strong even then), got replaced with a one-size-fits-all government plan of certain requirements and naturally, a monopoly for a few chosen companies that could jump through all the hoops. As entrenched monopolies, that led to the obvious thing -- a cartel that could create higher costs, or whose costs snowballed and could only pass the costs onto consumers. Obamacare was miles ahead of the current inflation now engulfing the country, piling up one hike after another over the course of 12 years well beyond inflation, and we're into 'triple.'
Naturally, the giant corporations, which are masters of scale on a one-size-fits-all program, were the big beneficiaries, as noted in the original tweet, rather than the little guy who's seen his health insurance premiums soar. Giant corporations are wokester outfits these days and all in on donating to Democrats. Funny how that works. Somehow, Democrats always manage to take care of the big guys.
Politico piously claims for Biden:
Equity, for instance, is also about cost, coverage and quality. And cost, coverage and quality are also about equity.
We don't hear much about that from Biden these days. It's not that his minions have not been busy -- but where they have, they've made things worse.
According to MedPage, a trade journal:
[Obama health care advisor Ezekiel] Emanuel's arguments would be more credible if he had identified even one ACA policy that reduced costs. But the only ACA policy he mentioned was a program that, he writes, "required reducing ... wasteful readmissions."
This would be the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program (HRRP), a dangerous program that should be terminated immediately. The HRRP's proponents claimed it would cut costs and improve health by penalizing hospitals for "too many" hospital readmissions. But the evidence now indicates this program is backfiring. Well-controlled studies show the HRRP may have raised the mortality rate among heart failure and pneumonia patients by reducing necessary readmissions, and it has not cut costs.
We share Emanuel's commitment to an efficient healthcare system with evidence-based price controls. But cheerleading from academic leaders about the false achievements of futile, and sometimes harmful, cost-containment policies has unintended consequences for health and efficiency, and it undermines our ability to build a universal, affordable healthcare system. We already have reliable methods to evaluate the successes and failures of national cost-control policies. Congress and the President must base future health policies on solid evidence of benefits without patient harms. And if we have the guts to be honest, we will acknowledge that learning from failure can be the key to future success.
Biden himself, though, has done nothing except continue to defend this money-eater.
It comes on top of skyrocketing oil costs, rising home prices, out-of-control education costs, and inflation not seen since the days of Jimmy Carter. But sitting in the background, there's always the big spectacular inflationary record of health insurance premiums, led by Obamacare, which Biden has defended and entrenched as president. That's part of the failure of big government and all its false promises. And it's also the Biden record for incompetence alongside all the other failures of his administration.
There it is. That's the issue. To begin, you have the corrupt family Biden. They've been scamming us and our system well for almost fifty years. The man is supposedly worth over 250 million dollars. How is this possible on his salary? It's not. So where did his wealth come from? Not from being a brilliant businessman. DAVID PRENTICE
Most recently and dramatically, Biden lied about his knowledge of his son's shady dealings, lied about his own involvement in corruption and bribery, and lied about his current presidential agenda and what he wants to implement in regards to energy, fracking, court-packing, health care, education, and COVID among other issues.

Mark Levin: Biden ‘May Be the Most Corrupt President in American History’
Earlier this week, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” conservative talker and host of FNC’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” Mark Levin weighed in on the ongoing saga of corruption allegations aimed at President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden and other members of Biden’s family.
Levin described President Biden as possibly the “most corrupt president in American history” and called for a special counsel to investigate.
Transcript as follows:
HANNITY: Joining us now, he is the host of “Life, Liberty, and Levin,” Sunday nights, the number one show right here on the Fox News Channel, had the number one book of the year last year, and he has a nationally syndicated radio show, I call him the great one.
I break this down and you take away the last name Biden and you replace it with Trump, what happens, Mark Levin?
LEVIN: No question about it. I mean, they’re still investigating Trump at the federal level, with Congress, D.A.’s office, the attorney general of New York, all corrupt, all Democrats, never-ending.
But this isn’t about Hunter Biden. It’s about Joe Biden. Joe Biden is the patriarch of an incredibly corrupt political family. He may be the most corrupt president in American history. The media had been protecting him. Even The New York Times and The Washington Post, even though they now admit that the laptop is legit. It’s authentic, because they must because the criminal investigation with career prosecutors in Wilmington is proceeding, what are they supposed to say?
The fact of the matter is everybody knew it was legitimate, especially the press. It was his laptop, it came about accidentally. “The New York Post” was printing chapter and verse, the big oligarchs covered it up, the media covered it up, at a time when the American people should have known before the election.
If they had reported what was on that laptop if they had applied the kind of resources that they apply, trying to set up Donald Trump with phony arguments and so forth, we would have known before the election just how corrupt Joe Biden and his family are and we would have known that he could never be president of the United States.
So the Democrat Party would have been out without a candidate and there is no way that Joe Biden would receive even close to the number of votes he supposedly got. The media are corrupt and they’re still corrupt they’re still trying to protect him.
Hunter Biden — look, he’s under criminal investigation. The whole family, you have James Biden, his younger brother, other brothers, the sister-in-law. So far, I calculated, you have $5 million confirmed that this communist Chinese front group and communist military front group gave to the Bidens, $5 million. Perhaps up to $10 million, $3.5 million from the wife of the Moscow mayor, several million, Burisma, about $4 million.
So, already, conservatively, we’re talking about over $13 million that went to this family.
Joe Biden has said he didn’t know anything about his son’s business. Joe Biden is a pathological serial liar when it comes to oil, when it comes to the border, when it comes to anything, but especially here.
We have a very credible witness who went public, Bobulinski. This guy has a Navy SEAL background and so forth. He met with Biden in May of 2017, Biden knew the particulars of the deal that they were trying to make. He also made it clear that the Biden family, wanted them to make sure that they covered their tracks for the big guy, the big guy being Joe.
In the contemporaneous documents on the laptop that everybody now admits is authentic, even though it’s 14 months late, 15 months late, Joe Biden is listed the big guys supposed to get 10, 10 percent. Ten percent of what? Ten percent of millions of dollars that were coming from the communist Chinese to the Biden family.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, there’s more than enough predicates here to conduct a criminal investigation of Joe Biden. His son, justice should be done. He violated the Federal Corrupt Practices Act. He didn’t identify as an agent.
According to the way the Department of Justice conducts himself, but we have a bigger problem. With a man in the Oval Office who I believe is effectively a Manchurian candidate. He is, in my view, a crook, that he is corrupt.
Now, Merrick Garland, the attorney general, is not going to investigate Biden. He won’t allow it. He’s busy chasing his parents. He’s busy attacking the Georgia Republican legislature. He’s busy going after Texas for their abortion rules and on and on and on.
But the fact of the matter is this, there needs to be a special counsel now to investigate Joe Biden. The Democrats in the House won’t do it. A special counsel with subpoena power, that man needs to be under oath. He needs to be questioned.
This family is corrupt. That’s it.
HANNITY: That’s why we call him the great one, Mark Levin. Don’t miss him Sunday night, “Life, Liberty, & Levin”, right here, number one show, Sunday night, FOX News Channel.

Turley: Special Counsel Must Be Appointed to Investigate Hunter Biden
Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley has written that a special counsel must be appointed to investigate the Hunter Biden case because President Joe Biden has denied any wrongdoing by his son, and has taken steps to influence investigations.
This past week, the Washington Post and CNN joined the New York Times in admitting that the Hunter Biden laptop, which was revealed in October 2020 and suggested that he made money from peddling access to his father, was indeed authentic.
The admissions came nearly a year and-a-half after media organizations joined the Democratic Party and former intelligence officials in claiming the laptop was Russian misinformation, and successfully encouraged Silicon Valley to censor the story.
Nevertheless, the White House continued this week to maintain that Hunter Biden had done nothing wrong, and that then-candidate Joe Biden had not misled the public when he claimed that his son was innocent and blamed Russia for the story.
Turley wrote at The Hill that the Biden administration and the media are now attempting to claim that while Hunter Biden sold access to his father, his father was not, in fact, involved, despite ample evidence to the contrary. That, he says, suggests the need for a special counsel, free of political influence:
The point is that President Biden really did not have to ask: Hunter Biden had nothing to sell but influence. All President Biden had to do to facilitate such schemes was to be accessible — to allow his family to deliver face-to-face meetings and photo ops.
And that brings us to the untenable position of [Attorney General Merrick] Garland.
It is hard to imagine a stronger case for a special counsel. Any effort to investigate Hunter Biden’s dealings will lead investigators to encounter repeated references to the president and how he may have benefited from those schemes. At the same time, the president is “absolutely” standing by his denial that his son did anything wrong or made any money from China.
Turley has also pointed to statements by President Biden, reported recently by the New York Times, that President Biden wants Garland to be more aggressive in pursing Trump.
“These are statements made to aides that were then leaked to the media to get to Garland. That allows the media to say that Biden never said it directly to Garland, but the message was delivered by the media,” Turley pointed out on Twitter.
That suggests the possibility of political influence on investigations — breaking a pledge by both Biden and Garland to keep the Department of Justice above politics, and throwing the Hunter Biden inquiry into doubt, absent a special counsel.

Joe Biden Faces Supreme Court Review of His ‘Catch and Release’ Policy
President Joe Biden and border chief Alejandro Mayorkas are fuelling the migration wave into Americans’ jobs by ignoring the law that says migrants must be detained until their asylum cases are decided.
However, the Supreme Court will review the legality of Biden’s catch-and-release policy on April 26 in the Biden v. Texas lawsuit. The review will take place one month before Biden and Mayorkas lift the Title 42 barrier on May 23 and open the borders to an unlimited inflow of asylum-claiming migrants.
Federal law says any migrant on U.S. soil can apply for asylum. But the law also says: “Mandatory detention: Any alien subject to the procedures under this clause shall be detained pending a final determination of credible fear of persecution and, if found not to have such a fear, until removed.”
“The [federal] statute is very clear that aliens who show up at the border without documentation or a visa are supposed to be detained throughout their entire immigration court proceedings,” said Rob Law, the director of regulatory affairs and policy for the Center for Immigration Studies.
“Non-U.S. nationals (aliens) apprehended by immigration authorities when attempting to unlawfully enter the United States … must be detained while awaiting removal,” the Congressional Research Service wrote on May 10, 2019.
But Mayorkas refuses to detain the migrants, despite the damage to Americans. Mayorkas also minimizes the use of the Migration Protection Protocols program, which effectively detains migrants in Mexico until their cases are complete.
Instead, he releases about 60,000 migrants each month into the United States under a variety of legal claims, as an additional 40,000 job-seeking migrants sneak across the border.
This catch-and-release policy allows the migrants to quickly get the jobs that they need to repay their debts to coyotes, cartels, and banks. So the policy fuels the cartels’ conveyor belt of labor and cash, and it allows people from many countries in Africa, South America, and Asia to fund their illegal entry into Americans’ labor and housing markets. The inflow of illegals skews the national economy in favor of investors, employers, and the coastal states.
Mayorkas is just one of numerous officials who have ignored the detention-until-completion law, according to the CRS report: “For many years, immigration authorities had construed governing statutes and regulations to … [ensure] alien could seek bond and potentially be released from custody during the pendency of those proceedings.”
The hands-off, no-enforcement policy was reversed by President Donald Trump’s Attorney General, Bill Barr, the CRS report notes:
On April 16, 2019 in [a legal directive titled] Matter of M-S-, however, Attorney General (AG) William Barr reversed this position, ruling instead that aliens apprehended between ports of entry and placed in formal removal proceedings following a credible fear determination remain ineligible for bond [and release].
Barr wrote:
In conclusion, the statutory text, the implementing regulations, and the Supreme Court’s decision in Rodriguez all lead to the same conclusion: that all aliens transferred from expedited to full proceedings after establishing a credible fear are ineligible for bond. [release].
Even pro-migration advocates concede the point. The American Immigration Council, for example, said on March 17, 2022:
The United States has broad authority to detain certain categories of immigrants, migrants, and others seeking humanitarian protection as their proceedings wind their way through the immigration legal system.
The detention law has been on the books since the 1996 reforms, said Law, adding:
It was the George W. Bush/Republican “Any Willing Worker” [policy] that was the beginning of just disregarding the mandatory detention provision. That let economic migrants loose into the interior of the country [supposedly to] show up to their court hearings. But as word got out that this is how the United States was treating migrants, more and more and more [migrants] came and overloaded the [asylum] system.
Trump tried to create a hard reset through [Migrant Protection Protocols] MPP and other deterrence and enforcement measures, but then Biden comes and just basically blows up the entire detention provisions of the [Immigration and Naturalization Act] INA.
The lower court judges in the Biden v. Texas case directed Biden’s deputies to either detain the migrants or keep them in Mexico until their asylum cases is resolved. So far, Mayorkas has sent only a few hundred migrants back to Mexico under MPP. In February, he released almost 73,480 migrants and sent just 93 back to Mexico under MPP.
Some GOP politicians recognize the government-backed labor migration hidden inside the overloaded asylum process.
“We are telling people ‘If you come to the border, and you claim asylum … You can come in,’” Sen. Bob Portman (R-PA) said on March 30. He continued:
By the way, there’s a 1.5 million person backlog for dealing with asylum claims — 1.5 million! This means that when you are allowed into the country to await an immigration judge looking at your case, there will be anywhere from four to six years before your case is considered. While you’re in the United States, … you’re working, your [illegal migrant] kids are going to school, you’re getting your health care, you’re part of the community.
And obviously a lot of these people don’t show up for their [asylum] court case. Some do, some don’t. But the point is this system is attracting people to the border.
Federal immigration law exists to protect the American right to a level playing field in the labor economy from unscrupulous employers, officials, and politicians — such as President George. W. Bush and his “Any Willing Worker” pitch.
Under 8 U.S. Code § 1324a, passed by Congress in 1952, employers are barred from hiring foreigners unless the foreigners have work permits:
(1) In general
It is unlawful for a person or other entity—
(A) to hire, or to recruit or refer for a fee, for employment in the United States an alien knowing the alien is an unauthorized alien (as defined in subsection (h)(3)) with respect to such employment …
But three decades of legal and illegal migration has delivered roughly 45 million workers, consumers, and renters into the U.S. economy. That imported population has delivered a colossal windfall to CEOs, investors, and Wall Street.
The mass inflow of legal and illegal immigrants has helped shift roughly $500 billion a year in wages from American employees to investors, according to data in the 2016 report on immigration by the National Academies of Science.
The white-collar visa programs have helped to shrink salaries for American tech graduates and nurses, and to inflate the stock value of Fortune 500 companies by $100 billion, according to migration advocates. Those programs have also helped the C-Suite in many Fortune 500 companies by pushing millions of outspoken American professionals out of tech careers, according to data in a 2021 study by the Census Bureau.
The migration programs have also shifted wages, investment, and wealth from interior cities and states — Detroit and West Virginia, for example — to the migration-inflated coasts.
The mass inflow of at least 20 million illegal migrant laborers has pushed many Americans into poverty. The March 22 report by the Oxfam anti-poverty group said: “more than 31.9 percent of the US labor force, or 51.9 million workers, currently make less than $15 per hour, and many are stuck at the federal minimum wage, which is less than half of that hourly rate.”
The damage was sketched out by the Washington Post‘s March 20 description of Dave Ramsey, in Lincoln Park, Mich.:
He’d modeled himself after his father, umpiring alongside him in high school and riding with him on private investigations to train as his apprentice. But if his father’s middle class ambitions had fallen apart after 50 years, Dave Jr.’s collapsed by the time he turned 20. He dropped out of school against his father’s advice so he could make some quick money laying cable, got injured at work and then got addicted to the prescription fentanyl patches. He’d gotten clean and stayed that way for the past nine years while taking care of his father and his daughters. He’d even gone back to school at night to earn his diploma, but the life available to him didn’t include the Masons, or a union job, or a thriving American middle class. Instead he’d hustled his way through a series of contracting jobs that paid a living wage one week and nothing the next, until the family’s monthly bills were so far beyond its means that Dave Sr. started burying them in the bottom of a box.
Coastal business groups are cheering the Title 42 takedown. A statement from the Zuckerberg-funded FWD.us advocacy group for West Coast investors said:
The goal should be a functional migration system broader than asylum. This requires expanding legal immigration avenues … Ending Title 42 is only one tiny piece of building that functional migration system,” said the group, whose wealthy founders gain more stock market wealth as the federal government extracts more workers, consumers, and renters for use in the U.S. economy.
But D.C. reporters are oblivious to the law and the economics, in part, because most are pressured by editors to focus on the migrants’ dramatic journeys.
In a call with Department of Homeland Security officials on Friday, agency officials invited questions from at least six favored reporters. But none of the reporters questioned the legality of releasing economic migrants into Americans’ labor market or the impact on Americans. Similarly, CNN’s Jake Tapper interviewed Mayorkas on April 1 and did not question the legality of Mayorkas’s open-borders policies.
Many polls show the public wants to like immigration and immigrants — but it also wants to prioritize fellow Americans.
For example, a March 18-21 poll of 1,050 registered voters by Echelon Insights reported that 29 percent of Americans strongly agreed that “America should not increase the number of immigrants it lets in, as immigrants could lower wages, take jobs away from Americans, and be a drain on taxpayers.”
Just 21 percent strongly agreed that “America should increase the number of immigrants it lets in, as immigrants will help address labor market shortages, start businesses, and revitalize declining cities and towns.”
The government’s operation of the nation’s immigration system is designed to deceive the public and the media about the large-scale extraction of workers and consumers from poor countries, Law said.
It’s always “Can you do just enough to deceive the public?” … Any removals that are done by the administration are simply [driven by] bad optics, such as the Haitians congregating under the [Del Rio] bridge, when they just can’t get away from the bad publicity. [Then they] say, “Oh, we’re not totally open borders, we’re using our limited resources to get the worst actors.”
The government’s cooperation with the cartels is hidden behind theatrical enforcement of borders laws and a curtain of legal complexity, he said:
They are partners in this business transaction of importing people and workers into the United States. This is this is a mutually beneficial arrangement where the cartels are being enriched by all these people who are paying the money for the transport, and the Biden administration willingly welcomes them, helps process them, and places them wherever they want to be the inside of the country …. So this is 100% a very corrupt business arrangement between the cartels and the Biden ministration.
But the Supreme Court case is exposing the hard-nosed reality of migration behind the border theater, said Law, adding “This is a seminal moment about whether or not we are a nation that has the ability to determine who comes into our country.”
Five Young Migrant Children Abandoned on Texas Bank of Border River, One Injured
Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents found five unaccompanied migrant children along the Texas side of the Rio Grande. One of the children, a six-year-old boy, suffered an injury while crossing the river by himself.
Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted photos of four unaccompanied migrant children found by agents along the Texas side of the border with Mexico. The children ranged in age from one to six years.
Chief Owens expressed his frustration with the cruelty of the smugglers who move children across the river with no family members present. “This is dangerous,” he said. “This is wrong. This is tragic.”
In another tweet, Owens reported an unaccompanied boy sustained an injury while attempting to cross the Rio Grande. An agent jumped into the river to rescue the six-year-old boy.
Agents bandaged the child’s wounds and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.
“Many of our agents volunteer to become EMTs, just to help others like this,” the chief stated.
The crossing of unaccompanied migrant children in the Del Rio Sector happens on a regular basis.
In March, agents found a five-year-old boy along the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas, Breitbart Texas reported. Two weeks earlier, agents found an abandoned toddler wandering alone along the banks of the Rio Grande in 30-degree weather. The child only had a sweatshirt-hoodie to keep her warm.
The crossing of unaccompanied migrant children along the Texas border with Mexico is dangerous and can lead to the type of injuries noted above, or even death.
In mid-March, agents found the body of a four-year-old child who was ripped from his mother’s arms as she crossed the swiftly moving currents of the Rio Grande.
Unfortunately, agents are becoming accustomed to finding small children abandoned by human smugglers — not just in Texas. In early February, as reported by Breitbart, two migrant toddlers were found roaming on the banks of the Rio Grande. In March, Tucson Sector agents found a five-year-old girl traveling with a large group of migrants along the Arizona border with Mexico.
In the first five months of this fiscal year, which began on October 1, 2021, agents found nearly 60,000 unaccompanied minors, according to a report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This represents an increase of more than 100 percent over the same period last year.
