BIDEN'S CRONY MODERN SLAVER JEFF 'BEZOSHEAD' BEZSOS TURNS ON THE OLD BRIBES SUCKER JOE - Biden’s economic policies are so bad even Jeff Bezos hates them

 JOE BIDEN   -  MENTAL

Something is ‘deeply wrong’ with America's president: ‘Glassy-eyed and not really there’

Biden’s economic policies are so bad even Jeff Bezos hates them

Everything that the Biden administration touches fails. The motivation behind these policies is still unclear. Epic incompetence, ideological blindness, or a deliberate intent to destroy America, either to impose martial law or have a complete socialist takeover, are all ideas that are being bandied about. But the failure is obvious...so obvious that Jeff Bezos, who has turned the historically pro-Democrat Washington Post into a hard-left redoubt for the extreme end of the Democrat party has openly, loudly challenged Biden’s insistence that raising corporate taxes will end inflation.

It all started with an utterly inane and economically backward post from Joe Biden’s Twitter account:

In fact, increasing taxes on corporations increases inflation. That’s because corporations don’t pay taxes. Instead, they pass taxes to consumers in the form of higher costs or to employees in the form of layoffs. Worse, they give the government more spending money and that spending, as Milton Friedman explains is the real source of inflation:

But again, reality is not on the Biden administration’s radar. Everything it does increases inflation. And at least, when it comes to corporate taxes, Jeff Bezos has a problem. Last week, he fired his first salvo about the Biden tweet’s epic misinformation:

Then, the Biden administration boasted about decreasing the deficit. Neoliberal, a Twitter account holder, explained that what actually lowered the deficit was the end of stimulus spending and the fed’s increased tax hauls due to inflation:

Bezos thought Neoliberal’s take was worth retweeting, with his added commentary about the current administration’s effort to print even more money, a disaster-in-the-making from which Joe Manchin saved America:

Ignoring the advice about never going into a battle of wits unarmed, a White House hack named, Andrew Bates, a deputy White House press secretary, decided to put Bezos in his place:

And to prove that this is an officially talking point, the new White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre said much the same:

If it were me, I wouldn’t publicly attack someone who helped me get into the White House but the Biden administration is no longer operating from a rational strategic basis. It knows it has only 2.5 years of executive orders left with which to “fundamentally transform” America, even if that means alienating its allies. And the White House certainly seems to have angered Bezos:

While I dislike Bezos, he’s right. Referencing Milton Friedman, above, the sole responsibility for inflation rests with the federal government, which badly needs its wings clipped.

It’s rather impressive how leftism on steroids is turning fabulously wealthy Democrats—Trump, Musk, and now Bezos—into something more closely resembling conservatives. America just needs to hold out a bit longer to give Biden and his party a chance to destroy themselves before they destroy America.

Billionaire Bezos: Biden’s ‘Disinformation Board Should Review’ Biden’s Tweet Conflating Inflation, Corporate Taxes

One of the world’s wealthiest individuals is blasting President Joe Biden’s claim that the key to lowering inflation is to raise corporate taxes, as Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos took to Twitter over the weekend.

On Friday, after Pres. Biden tweeted, “You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share” – to which, Bezos called for Biden’s new Disinformation Governance Board to examine Biden’s tweet as disinformation:

“The newly created Disinformation Board should review this tweet, or maybe they need to form a new Non Sequitur Board instead. Raising corp taxes is fine to discuss. Taming inflation is critical to discuss. Mushing them together is just misdirection.“

Biden’s efforts to “inject even more stimulus into an already over-heated, inflationary economy” will actually fuel inflation and end up harming the country’s poorest Americans, Bezos followed up on Sunday, in a tweet criticizing Biden's "misdirection":

“In fact, the administration tried hard to inject even more stimulus into an already over-heated, inflationary economy and only Manchin saved them from themselves. Inflation is a regressive tax that most hurts the least affluent. Misdirection doesn’t help the country.”

Democrats Blame Inflation on 'Greed,' Instead of Their Own Failed Policies

Inflation, over the past year, has gone from conspiracy theory to transient, to no big deal, to ignored, and now finally reluctantly acknowledged by the ruling class. Yet to consumers paying more for groceries, restaurant meals, airline tickets, and gasoline, it is painfully real.

Democrats in Congress and the White House are reticent to take any responsibility for inflation with their reckless spending and deliberate hampering of getting petroleum products out of the ground and into cars and homes.

After presiding over a more than doubling of gasoline prices during his first year and a half in office, President Biden is adding fuel to the inflationary fire by canceling offshore oil lease sales in Alaska and the Gulf Coast. Gas prices hovered around $2 per gallon during most of 2020 only to set records four days in a row this past week, settling at $4.44 per gallon, hence the ubiquitous Joe Biden “I did that” stickers peppering gas pumps nationwide.

Not only fuel but also food prices, increasing at the fastest rate in 40 years according to the US Department of Agriculture. For example, meats, poultry, fish, and eggs are up 14 percent with fruits and vegetables costing 8 percent more.

And that assumes you can find these items. Baby formula stocks are low and getting worse, according to CNN, now at a 40 percent out-of-stock rate. What’s the solution? Rather than keeping American grocery store shelve stocked with baby formula, the Biden administration is shipping available supplies to our open southern border to feed migrant children. Or to Ukraine, along with $40 billion in aid which could be better spent on crumbling American infrastructure. The answer for hungry American babies? Get in line or make your own formula.

What do the money mavens say? Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell can’t promise a “soft landing” for the U.S. economy, acknowledging the possibility of a recession. One more quarter of negative GDP and we are officially in a recession. The Fed promises small interest rate hikes to fight inflation, but with a $30 trillion national debt, every percent interest rate increase translates to $300 billion more in annual interest payments. This is money we don’t have.

We can always borrow money to pay interest to those we borrowed the money from. That makes sense. As much sense as just printing money to pay our expenses, worsening the inflation we are supposedly trying to fight. When in a hole, stop digging.

It’s convenient for the White House to blame Russia’s Ukraine invasion for inflation but economic history paints a different picture. As reported by Fortune, at the time of the invasion, inflation was already at 7.5 percent and gasoline cost $3.54 a gallon. The Russia-Ukraine war is making things worse, but inflation was already here before the war. Nice try.

Rather than applying basic economics to our looming problems of inflation and stagflation, Democrats have contrived a theory as nonsensical as blaming Donald Trump for Joe Biden’s policy decisions. The Washington Post coined this approach “Greedflation”:

The theory goes something like this: The reason prices are up so much is that companies have gotten “greedy” and are conspiring to “pad their profits,” “profiteer” and “price-gouge.” No one has managed to define “profiteering” and “price-gouging” more specifically than “raising prices more than I’d like.”

The problem with this narrative is that it’s just a pejorative tautology. Yes, prices are going up because companies are raising prices. Okay. This is the economic equivalent of saying “It’s raining because water is falling from the sky.” Well, why?

The greedflationists argue that something fishy is afoot because companies are not merely “passing along” their higher costs; their profit margins are expanding, too. But this is exactly what you’d expect when flush customers are buying more stuff and willing to pay whatever’s necessary to get what they want. Prices and profits rise.

At best, this approach has done nothing to curb inflation. Worse, it has distracted Democrats from taking actions that could help, because this “greedflation” narrative has persuaded both policymakers and the public to misdiagnose the problem’s causes.

This warped thinking mirrors the “pay your fair share” argument to raise income tax rates, thinking somehow that the rich don’t pay enough taxes. As Tax Foundation notes, “The top 1 percent paid a greater share of individual income taxes (38.8 percent) than the bottom 90 percent combined (29.2 percent).”

YouTube screen grab

How convenient to blame one’s own failed policies and solutions on some bogeyman, whether “the rich” or cigar-chomping “greedy price-gouging corporatists.” While at the same time, Congress has no hesitation in spending $40 billion of taxpayer money, which we actually are borrowing, to fund a proxy war against Russia where we have no vital national interest.

Ignoring the real causes of inflation means that any policy prescriptions out of Washington D.C. will make the problem worse rather than better.

Not all countries are suffering American levels of inflation. For example, the inflation rate in Japan is 0.6 percent, Saudi Arabia 1.1 percent, and Bolivia 0.9%. Yet in America and much of the West, we are in real double-digit territory with no sign of improvement.

Is this simply economic stupidity? Doubtful as even the likes of Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has an economics degree from Boston University. Even if she wasn’t the brightest student or slept through most of her classes, she and her congressional colleagues understand the utter foolishness of borrowing and spending money we don’t have.

Or is this approach more sinister?

Former Soviet Premier Vladimir Lenin correctly observed, “The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.” This is exactly what is happening in America. Democrats want tax increases to fight inflation, which even the corporate media recognizes as “reckless.”

What better way to demoralize and destroy a society than by making the people poor and hungry? Which is exactly where we are headed.

Profits of Doom: Globalist Elites Doubled Their Wealth During Coronavirus Pandemic

As the world was buffeted by a coronavirus tsunami leaving forced lockdowns, supply-chain problems, economic upheaval, and poverty in its wake, globalist financial elites “have had a terrific pandemic” according to a report released Monday.

The world’s 10 richest men have more than doubled their fortunes to $1.9 trillion, at a rate of $1.6 billion a day, over the past 12 months, proving elites have largely been spared the misery and financial ruin inflicted on so many by endless enforced lockdowns.

A confederation of charities that focus on alleviating global poverty, Oxfam said members of the globalist financial elites saw their wealth rose more during the pandemic more than it did the previous 14 years, when the world economy was suffering the worst recession since the Wall Street Crash of 1929.

These are some of the main points from Oxfam’s latest report, Inequality Kills, which has been released as global business leaders meet virtually this week for the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

“We have a situation where 10 men hold more wealth than that of two-thirds of humanity,” Lyn Morgain, chief executive of Oxfam Australia, told Australia’s ABC news outlet.

“Not only that, but that bottom 40 percent are hanging on by a thread.”

The report highlights what the charity says are “unprecedented” levels of global inequality as coronavirus sharpens the divide between “us and them,” the “haves and have nots.”

Nolte: GOP Rep Says Illegal Immigrants Receiving ‘Pallets of Baby Formula’

Things are looking very, very grim for the Democrats

Hart Research Associates, a Democrat-run polling organization, released a poll taken from May 5-10 that asked voters about various issues as well as their general feeling about how the country is doing. The numbers are spectacularly grim for Joe Biden and the Democrat party generally. These numbers do two things: They bode well for Republicans taking over Congress in the midterm elections and they make Democrat cheating more difficult because it’s impossible for Democrats to have final outcomes that deviate too much from the mood of the country.

It's not a random opinion to say that Hart Research is a Democrat polling organization. Aside from general polls covering all sorts of business and social issues, the company describes Garin-Hart-Yang Research Group, the political division of Hart Research, as

[O]ne of the most respected and successful political polling firms in the country for Democratic candidates and progressive causes. [snip] Our history of accomplishments includes winning open seats, helping Democrats succeed in places that often vote Republican, electing women to statewide office, helping elect political newcomers, winning contested primaries, and winning initiative and referendum campaigns.

It was this group’s research that showed that, in battleground states, the phrase “MAGA Republican” was off-putting to voters. From that, Anita Dunn and the Center for American Progress Action Fund instructed the Biden administration to use the phrase “Ultra-MAGA.” It didn’t occur to them that, except for those who already hated the MAGA movement, others would find it complimentary and, moreover, that the idea of Trump as “King MAGA” would provide conservatives with a powerhouse meme.

My point in bringing up this information is that this group, even as it undoubtedly strives to be honest because of its professional reputation, may have a bias leaning toward Democrat success. That’s why it was amazing that its most recent poll showed that 75% of all voters believe that the country under Joe Biden is heading in the wrong direction.

Image: Charting downward by pinnacleanimates.

That number has been trending steadily downward since Biden’s first months in office (April 2021 was 56%, August was 63%, October was 71%, January 2022 was 72%, and March was 71%). As Scott Adams frequently (and wisely) says, it’s not just the numbers that matter, it’s the trajectory. Biden’s trajectory, as seen by how people feel about America during his administration, is disastrous.

Moreover, a majority of American adults blame Biden for their feeling about America in decline, with 56% disapproving of him. That’s bad. What’s worse is that the majority of those who disapprove do so strongly (45%) versus merely somewhat (11%). And again, if you look at the numbers since Biden took office, the trajectory has been straight down.

Indeed, 40% of those polled feel very negative just hearing the Biden name! It’s true that 42% feel negative when they hear Trump’s name but that’s actually a less interesting number. The media have been demonizing Donald Trump non-stop since 2015, castigating him as a racist, a Nazi, a rapist, a Russian stooge, a Russian activist, and an insurrectionist. Meanwhile, going back to 2008, the media have incessantly told Americans that Biden is a foreign policy expert, a unifier, a wise man, savvy, and the essence of normalcy. And despite that, huge numbers of Americans have developed a reflexive revulsion against him.

Even scarier for Democrats is the fact that those polled, when asked about the Republican party, have only a 29% very negative feelings about the party, while the numbers are very gently trending positive—and again, this is despite the media’s non-stop demonization of Republicans since Franklin Roosevelt’s administration. Meanwhile, 33% of Americans view the Democrat party very negatively, with very positive feelings dropping like a stone. (Kamala Harris gets a 36% for very negative.)

Voters are tied, 46%-46%, when it comes to which party controls Congress but, as Chuck Todd points out in the video below, that strongly indicates that Republicans will make strong mid-term gains.

The poll shows that abortion has become a matter of supreme importance to single-issue voters but the majority of voters still consider the really important issues to be the cost of living, the economy, and voting rights and election integrity. The war in Ukraine is low on the list and COVID is vanishingly low. As for those single-issue abortion voters, if they’re all in bright blue cities, they’re the same people who have always been fanatic Democrat voters, so they don’t reflect a meaningful shift in voter values.

All in all, Democrats have a lot to worry about. Meanwhile, the biggest challenge for Republicans is that they don’t form a circular firing squad and destroy themselves through internecine battles and sheer stupidity. They have a real knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Victor Davis Hanson’s Magnum Opus

Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most respected historians/intellectuals of the conservative movement; I have been an enthusiast of his work going back to my first experience with his erudition and eloquence—The Western Way of War (1989, 2nd ed. 2000), an explanation of why citizen soldiers are so effective and why Western Armies have been so lethal.  Now he is past 24 books and hundreds if not thousands of essays as well as appearances regularly on TV that all provide sober, thought-provoking, and insightful political commentary.  Any observer of VDH cannot help but be impressed with his solid and thoughtful analysis of political and social issues, probative and measured.

I reviewed Dr. Hanson’s book on WWII at American Thinker in 2018, but I am late to the party on his latest book The Dying Citizen: How Progressive Elites, Tribalism, and Globalization Are Destroying the Idea of America by Victor Davis Hanson  433 pages Kindle $17.99,  Hardcover  $21.37  ASIN ‏ :  B08W4ZZTTP ‎ (Basic Books 2021).  Two reviews have already appeared at American Thinker by Richard Baehr and Terry Scambray that are excellent, but when I read the blurb by the distinguished Roger Kimball that named Dying Citizen Hanson’s magnum opus, I was compelled to make the pitch again to readers about the importance of Hanson and his compelling argument for good citizenship as the basis for western civilization and the western ideal of elective self-governance.

Dying Citizen revisits The Western Way of War theme, the importance of the citizen in a western community/society.  The importance of the citizen as opposed to the role of subjects of a regime, king, prince, emperor, chief, or khan, and the advance of society that is made when citizens govern.  The beginning of Western Civilization is the city-state citizen-dominated political entities of Greece.

Dr. Hanson is a 3rd generation raisin grape farmer in Selma California, the Central Valley, just outside of Fresno. Classics trained at Stanford, he formed the Classics program at California State University Fresno and became an outstanding author, essayist, and commentator as a fellow of the Hoover Institute of Stanford University.  He favored the presidency of Trump as a reinvigoration of American values and a rejection of dangerous elitist states and globalism. This book was written, I believe, to educate the reader on the unique nature of American citizenship and the importance of the development of citizenship through history.

Chapter One is about peasants (think subjects) and the importance of the development in society of an influential middle class.  Without a vibrant middle class, citizenship cannot develop because the society is composed of the noble/master/oligarch group dominating the serfs/peasants/proletariat.  He points out why the decimation of the middle class in America threatens the civic societal American unity.  Welfare statism and dominance by the ruling class elites take the vitality out of a nation.

The Second Chapter borrows on the basis of one of Hanson’s other successful books, Mexifornia (2003), which warned of the destructive danger of unfettered immigration and the creation of a resident rather than citizen class because of immigrants who have no intention of assimilation and becoming loyal and contributing American Citizens.

Hanson raises the question: do these illegal and even legal immigrants have in mind becoming American citizens or are they just moving to a place that offers benefits and protections and looks better than where they came from?  Sure, people want a better life, but will they become good citizens or just parasites?

Moreover, the open borders crowd sees the immigrant population as a political lever that will allow Democrats’ power with no end that fits with the non-assimilating parasitic nature of the immigration flood.  In fact, Hanson points out the devolving situation of tribalism and ethnic/racial/religious divisions that will destroy the concept of American Citizenship and allow a growing group of people who refuse to become loyal and contributing citizens of their adopted country.  (Think of the Mexican crowd booing the American Soccer team in a Los Angeles stadium or the La Raza movement.)

The third chapter hits on the most serious threat to American Unity: tribalism and racism in the populace energized by Marxist ideologues. The content of the chapter traces the negative impact of tribalism through history and how it destroys national and societal unity and the spirit of effective citizenship. Hanson puts a deft touch on this discussion because of his deep and comprehensive erudition and his orientation in the foundations of self-governance, Classical Western History, and the legacy of the Greeks and Romans.  But he also offers some examples of how things fall apart due to divisions created by nascent tribalism and racism. America is now in the squeeze created by tribalism and racism and Hanson properly exposes the elements of danger and the consequences of failing to extinguish the fires of division.

In this chapter, Hanson also provides an insightful look at the dangers of the modern “equity” political movement that is just reverse racism and allows state action to impose limits on individuals that should not exist in a free society.  Statism, collectivism, and racism all act in concert to destroy the American Iconic Land of Opportunity.  Moreover, the ideological tenets of the movement are founded on the assertion that America is evil and flawed and deserves nothing but condemnation and destruction—not a good foundation for promoting citizenship.

Chapters 4 and 5 focus on the impact of what Angelo Codevilla and Hanson have both put on the front burner, the development of an elite and arrogant oligarchic ruling class both elected and not, and the division between the country class and the ruling class.  In Chapter 4 Hanson exposes the negative aspects of the administrative state.  In Chapter 5 he discusses the poorly disguised collectivist socialist evolutionists who would discard the America of the founders, all the founding documents, and the republican form of government in favor of a mobocracy.

Chapter 6 goes after the mostly American globalists who are now ensconced as elites and would endeavor to push America to become a pawn in the globalist agenda.  I can’t go on. These jackasses are advocating a move for the American surrender of their sacred constitutional rights and the Constitutional Republic created by the founders.

Hanson wrote a final chapter (epilogue) to this Magnum Opus that cannot be ignored.  He explained that Trump advocated for the principles that underlie the Constitutional Republic, support of nationalism, the citizens, the middle class, and rejection of the deep state that is anti-American, concern for the middle class and the American occupants of that middle class, an effort to straighten out the tax and economic and foreign policy/trade situation that would restore an American Middle Class that would also restore citizens to their rightful position as rugged individualists, the foundation for American success.

A few accolades are appropriate, considering the inadequacy of my book review—and I am not uneasy in this effort, I enjoy it:

“Mr. Hanson, an accomplished classicist and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, is one of the great amalgamators of American political writing. He has a particular gift for bringing together a dizzying array of events, controversies and ideas and making sense of them by advancing a coherent argument that incorporates thousands of years of history---Wall Street Journal

“As Victor Davis Hanson shows in his learned, powerful, and troubling new book, The Dying Citizen, the steady devolution of citizenship speaks volumes about where we are today and where we seem to be heading… Hanson lays out this grim diagnosis with his usual clarity and brilliance, moving easily from his deep specialized knowledge of the ancient Greek and Roman world through savvy observations about present-day politics and American society.”―The New Criterion

“Hanson is well-positioned to describe the evolution of citizenship from ancient times through the modern era, and especially the assumptions about citizenship underlying America's constitutional order….  Hanson presents, clearly and concisely, a case that critics will struggle to refute. His troubling argument has far-reaching implications. The Dying Citizen is a book that all Americans should read, then discuss with friends and neighbors.”―Claremont Review of Books

“Politicians often speak to “my fellow citizens,” implying a kind of common project among all citizens.  In America, that project is our shared devotion to our founding principles.  Victor Davis Hanson explains in The Dying Citizen, however, that this uniquely American concept of citizenship is imperiled—whether from ancient threats“. .. . Victor Davis Hanson shows how so many contemporary problems—identity politics, the border crisis, bloated government, etc.—have only worsened for the lack of a vigorous and clarifying idea of citizenship. In this deeply democratic idea, Hanson points to a way beyond what ails us.” ―Shelby Steele, author of Shame

“The great glory of the democratic revolution of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries was extending the blessings of citizenship to anyone and everyone who embraced the principles and responsibilities of self-governing nations. As Victor Davis Hanson explains, by subtle degrees we’re reversing course, the hour is late, and we have Hanson to thank for this capacious account of what we need to recover.”―Steven F. Hayward, author of Patriotism Is Not Enough

“This is not a drill—this is the real thing. If you don’t believe that the survival of the American republic hangs in the balance, you must read Victor Davis Hanson’s relentless exposition of the facts. America’s free citizenry is at imminent risk of defeat at the hands of an unelected Deep State allied to globalist elite that flouts. . Get this book into the hands of everyone you know.”―David Goldman, deputy editor of Asia Times and author of You Will Be Assimilated

“. . . Victor Hanson is deeply educated in the classics, where knowledge of regimes was first developed. It also requires a close observation of what is happening today, about which he writes insightfully and in profusion. In this book, Hanson demonstrates yet again his command across time and for our time. This book and he are a treasure.”
―Larry P. Arnn, president of Hillsdale College.

The Silent Invasion and War at Home

It has been chilling to watch the steady number of deaths, the territory invaded, the executions and rapes, the fear and the flight.  It is especially shocking because we had peace for so long, but now we see all the possibilities of evil coming out.

I'm not talking about Ukraine — I'm speaking of an invasion right here in the United States.  Migrants, mostly Hispanic, are entering the U.S. at the rate of at least 2 million per year — or 20 million in the next decade — and with them come hundreds of thousands of violent gang members.  Meanwhile, our own inner-city gangs are spreading out into affluent suburban areas, invading high-end shopping areas and stealing from stores and individuals, often at gunpoint and with deadly consequences.

I am not being alarmist or racist.  I am simply describing what is happening and pointing out the future state of affairs if we do nothing.  If anything, my numbers are low, and my words cannot describe the horror of what is happening.

The most numerous victims of this invasion are blacks and Hispanics who are attacked by young men of their own race.  These are the forgotten men and women in our society, and this is a topic that mainstream news won't cover because the killers are mostly black and Hispanic.  Just in 2020, the year of the "defund the police" protests, murders of blacks soared by 32%, and they're only continuing.

We're seeing an explosion in the number of carjackings and car thefts, along with murders, home invasions, rapes, assaults, and other violent crimes, not just in our cities, but in suburban areas as well.  And authorities cannot or will not do anything to stop it.  There has always been violent crime in Chicago, but now there seems to be a crime wave, and it includes the murder of children, police officers, and the elderly.  The authorities mumble about "root causes," but social work won't reduce the numbers.  We are at war, and war requires the use of force.

The perpetrators are largely the same in every location: young black and Hispanic men, heavily armed and with no apparent conscience or morality.  They prey on the weak and take what they want, which seems to be money, sex, drugs, and a certain kind of street cred that they mistake for status.

These thugs now control the streets, even in many smaller cities.  Mayors like Lori Lightfoot seem to have given up.  They attempt to change the subject and ignore the problem, just as the Biden administration does.

Biden ignores the fact that we have been invaded by a powerful army of young men of similar backgrounds and natures — ruthless gang members and repeat offenders with the same teardrop tattoos signifying their having committed murder, the same cold, haughty stare, the same hostile swagger and domineering speech.  These criminals have become so familiar that even some middle-class whites, through popular culture and rap music, have mistaken them for Robin Hood–type heroes.

They are anything but heroes.  They inflict suffering and death on everyone around them.  Like half-starved lions released into the Coliseum, they exist only to murder and prey on the weak.

More Americans have died in this war over the past decade (some 200,000) than Ukrainians who have died in their war (13,000 according to a recent count), and American cities are beginning to resemble the bombed out shells of civilization we see in Mariupol and Kharkiv.  The difference is that everyone notices the destruction in Ukraine, but few understand the magnitude of violent crime in the U.S.  If the media coverage were honest and proportional, Americans would demand change.

We have been invaded by an army that is worse than that of Russia.  Unlike the hapless conscripts who constitute those Russian forces, the thugs who roam America are remorseless.  If anything, they enjoy killing since it inflates their sense of power, especially their power over whites, and particularly white police officers, though black victims are hardly exempt.  They are lean, muscled, and street-tough, and they are not afraid of getting caught since in most places there is no real punishment for "common" crimes like stealing cars or home break-ins, and little punishment for violent crime as well.

The invaders we face are violent and lack all compunction, but they are not all that numerous.  They fit a similar profile — a certain type of young minority drop-out, stealing or selling drugs — but according to several estimates, they constitute at most one quarter of their demographic and a smaller percentage of Hispanics.  Indeed, most blacks and Hispanics live in fear of these invaders, just as most whites do.

The Ukrainian army has repelled Russian forces in many areas.  If the Ukrainians had been properly armed, they might have turned back the Russians at the beginning and saved their country so much suffering and destruction.  In America, we don't even realize we have been invaded, or else we refuse to admit it.  It's not "woke" to say that young black men commit murder at 18 times the rate of the general population.  Not woke to say, as is true, that twice as many whites are murdered by blacks as are blacks by whites.  Not woke to point out that fully one quarter of black men "end up in the criminal justice system," as Bernie Sanders has it.

One does not defeat an enemy by allowing it to murder, steal, and rape without resistance.  The only way is to recognize that we have been invaded, and we are at war.  War requires its own way of thinking and its own tactics and strategy.  At present, we arrest criminals (a few of them, since 54% of reported violent crimes and more than 75% overall go unsolved), charge them with a lesser offense, release them (in many places without bail), and watch them go right back to committing crimes.  That is the wrong strategy for a state of war.

It is possible to defeat our enemy, but it will take a change of attitude.  We must be willing to fund our police at maximum levels, support our police in their dangerous work, and indemnify them against unreasonable prosecution in their use of force, and we must elect prosecutors who actually prosecute this army of invaders.  The recall of L.A. district attorney George GascĂłn might be a good start.

We are under attack, and the situation is getting worse.  The only way to defeat an invading army is with greater force.  We need to provide that force so that we can live safely once again.

Sen. Rand Paul Blocks $40B for Ukraine: 'We Cannot Save Ukraine by Dooming the U.S. Economy'

(CNSNews.com) - "My oath of office is to the U.S. Constitution, not to any foreign nation," Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said in a speech on the Senate floor Thursday, as some of his fellow Republicans urged immediate passage of a bill -- this one totaling $40 billion -- to fund U.S. assistance for the situation in Ukraine.

"We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy," Paul said, noting that inflation in the United States is now running at a forty-year high. "Inflation doesn't just come out of nowhere. It comes from deficit spending," he said.

Paul noted that is the second spending bill for Ukraine in two months, and it is three times larger than the first. Since 2014, he said, "the U.S. will have authorized roughly $60 billion in total spending for Ukraine."

Paul said the $60 billion far exceeds what the U.S. pays for cancer research, building roads and bridges, and even for some federal agencies. And he noted that other NATO allies are stepping up their Ukraine support, so the U.S. doesn't always need to be "the policeman that saves the world, particularly when it is on borrowed money."

In subsequent tweets, Paul said that while he sympathizes with Ukrainians, the $40 billion bill is "frankly a slap in the face to millions of taxpayers who are struggling to buy gas, groceries, and find baby formula."

Paul wants to amend the $40-billion bill to allow for a special inspector general to oversee how the money is spent, similar to the special inspector general who monitored U.S. spending on Afghanistan.

Also speaking on the floor Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Congress has a "moral obligation to stand with Ukraine." He urged Sen. Paul not to "stand in the way" with his "reckless demand" for changes that are not supported by Democrats.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) agreed with Schumer on the need to quickly pass the bill.

Sen. John Tester (D-Mont.) told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Friday he thinks the bill will pass next week. "I mean, everything was ready to go. It is one of the problems with the U.S. Senate when you have one person that can obstruct everything," he said.

Sen. Paul reminded his fellow lawmakers on Thursday that the Soviet Union "collapsed in large part, not just because it was defeated militarily, but because it ran out of money. In an attempt to save Ukraine...will we doom the United States to such a future?" he asked.

Senator Probes Biden Admin for Offloading Baby Formula to Illegal Immigrants

Congress is investigating the Biden administration for reportedly shipping pallets of baby formula to illegal immigrants, according to a copy of the probe obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R., Wis.) is asking the Department of Homeland Security and the Food and Drug Administration to provide information on the steps it is taking to combat the nationwide shortage of baby formula in light of reports that illegal immigrants detained by federal authorities are receiving "pallets" of formula at detention centers.

"As hard-working American parents struggle to find infant formula, a recent news report indicated that illegal immigrants detained by Border Patrol may not be experiencing these difficulties," Johnson writes in a letter sent Friday to Biden administration leaders. "A member of Congress reportedly obtained photographs from a Border Patrol agent showing that shelves at a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) detention center in McAllen, Texas, are stocked with ‘pallets' of baby formula."

While the White House claims it is "working around the clock" to address these shortages, Johnson maintains this rhetoric is empty. He is requesting the total amount of formula the federal government owns and how much was provided to illegal immigrants since August, when supply issues began cropping up.

"The Biden administration is not doing all it can to increase product availability," Johnson writes. "For instance, the federal government could eliminate tariffs of up to 17.5 percent and tariff rate quotas (TRQs) on imported infant formula."

DHS and the FDA must now furnish records detailing "the total amount of infant formula the federal government currently owns or is under contract to receive" and "the total amount of infant formula provided to illegal immigrants by [Customs and Border Patrol] since August 1, 2021."

Rep. Kat Cammack (R., Fla.) earlier this week published photos showing stockpiles of baby formula at a CBP detention facility housing illegal immigrants.

"Biden is sending pallets of baby formula to the border," Cammack wrote on Facebook. "Meanwhile, store shelves across America are empty and moms are being told they don't know when more is coming in. Welcome to Biden's America where American moms and dads are last."

Cammack said border agents documented the baby formula deliveries to the Texas detention center.

With the formula shortage creating nationwide panic, Johnson says the "Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and United States Trade Representative (USTR) owes the public a detailed explanation about the steps the agencies are taking to ensure parents and their babies have access to infant formula."

At the end of April, an estimated 40 percent of U.S. baby formula supplies were out of stock, according to figures disclosed by Johnson in his letter.

The White House said it is working to address the issue but has not thoroughly outlined its actions, Johnson adds.

"The assurances made by an untrustworthy administration and the lack of action do little to subdue the frustrations and anxieties of many parents that see a dwindling supply of infant formula for their babies," Johnson writes. "The American people and parents have a right to be angry."

Democrats Name Latino Outreach Program After Communist Slogan Popularized by Fidel Castro

At least they finally stopped saying 'Latinx'

The Democratic Party is desperate to bolster its flagging support among Latino voters heading into the midterm elections. Finally accepting the fact that the word "Latinx" is weird and stupid—something white liberals do to feel better about themselves—is a good first start. Alas, the Democratic National Committee has chosen a rather unfortunate name for its new "signature outreach program" targeting Latino voters.

It's called "Adelante," which means forward or onward. As it so happens, slogans such as "¡Adelante!" or "¡La RevoluciĂłn Seguirá Adelante!" were popular rallying cries under the communist regime of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, or as he is known to some elected Democrats, "el comandante en jefe." The Cuban newspaper founded in 1959, the year Castro took power, is called Adelante, which boasts that it was "primero con la RevoluciĂłn."

The DNC, which announced the program on Wednesday, has already rolled out some fancy graphic designs urging Latino voters to move "adelente con los DemĂłcratas." They are pictured below alongside some of Castro's communist propaganda.

Many Democrats were appalled by the party's relatively poor showing among Latino voters in the 2020 election. Some argued that embracing "woke" terminology such as "Latinx," a word most Latinos do not use or even understand, made Democrats seem out of touch. Others, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), faulted Democrats for alienating Hispanic voters with "loose talk of socialism," according to the authors of This Will Not Pass, a recently published book about the 2020 election and its aftermath.

Pelosi wasn't just spitballing. She had presumably seen survey data suggesting that a huge chunk of Latino voters—about 40 percent, according to the Democratic polling firm Equis Labs—were concerned about Democrats embracing socialism. There are plenty of ways Democrats could address these concerns. One would be to stop openly embracing socialism. Another might be—just throwing this out there—to not name your Latino outreach program after a communist dictator's propaganda slogan.

Fun fact: Former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes, best known for lying to journalists about the administration's efforts to appease Iran, attended Fidel Castro's funeral in 2016 alongside official delegations from China, Russia, and other prominent human-rights abusers.

Biden administration truly a total dumpster fire: Rep. Cammack

Nolte: GOP Rep Says Illegal Immigrants Receiving ‘Pallets of Baby Formula’

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) says that while Americans face a worsening baby formula shortage, “They are sending pallets–pallets! of baby formula to the border.”

Who is “they?” Well, the Biden administration, of course.

You don’t think Joe Biden would put Americans at the head of the baby formula line, do you? Democrats hate Americans, especially the babies they didn’t get a chance to abort.

Hoping to change the country’s demographics (a stated goal of Democrats and the media), Biden is flooding the country with illegal immigrants, a record number of them, even as he spends $40 billion to protect Ukraine’s border. But now, according to this congresswoman, people who have no business being in our country are receiving the baby formula countless American mothers can’t find for their own babies.

On a social media post, Cammack said she received photographic evidence of the border deliveries from a border patrol agent.

Illegal immigrants are  “receiving pallets and more pallets of baby formula at the border,” she said. “This [photo of baby formula] was taken at Ursula processing facility [in Texas], where thousands are being housed and processed and then released into the United States.”

The photo, she says, is the full shelves of baby formula shipped to the border for illegal aliens — you know, the people breaking into our country at the invitation of the Biden administration.

She also posted the photo on her verified Twitter account:

In a Facebook video, Cammack said this border patrol agent told her, “Kat, you would not believe the shipment [of baby formula] I just brought in.” Cammack added that this guy “has been a border patrol agent for 30 years, and he has never seen anything quite like this. He is a grandfather, and he is saying that his own children can’t get baby formula for his grandkids.”

She adds, “He, as a border patrol agent, just took in pallets, pallets of baby formula for all of the illegals that are crossing into the United States.”

If this is the case, no one, including this congresswoman, is saying that the babies of illegals should not get this formula. But why are they first in line? Good heavens, illegal immigrants in Texas are getting baby formula when we know American citizens and legal immigrants in Texas are “desperate” to find formula.

What’s more, these illegals should not even be in the country, and by extension, they and their babies should not be our responsibility. These folks should be in Mexico using Mexico’s resources, not in America illegally draining our resources, especially a resource as vital as baby formula.

If these illegals didn’t stroll into our country illegally, something Biden is openly encouraging and allowing, we wouldn’t have this problem.

The congresswoman also makes a good point. Using secret flights, the Biden administration will release most of these illegals into the American interior, which will only stress our baby formula resources all the more … and our housing resources … and our law enforcement resources.

Democrats always put Americans last.

But maybe Democrats think that with Roe v. Wade about to be overturned, they can still kill babies this way … American babies who might grow up and not vote “correctly.”

Marco Rubio Urges Biden to Invoke Defense Production Act to Address Baby Formula Shortage

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) wrote a letter Thursday to President Joe Biden in which he urged the president to invoke the Defense Production Act to address the baby formula shortage plaguing the United States.

He wrote:

Ongoing labor shortages and global supply chain disruptions have impacted the supply of many grocery products for many months. In February, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recalled three major varieties of powdered baby formula—Similac, Alimentum, and EleCare—produced in the Abbott Nutrition facility in Sturgis, Michigan. This has created an especially acute supply shortage of baby formula, which is often the only life-sustaining option for many of our nation’s most vulnerable children.

This year has already been challenging for American families. The ongoing baby formula shortage is making life even more difficult for them, and unnecessarily so. I call on you to take these actions, without delay, and increase domestic baby formula production,” the Florida Republican added.

When it comes to COVID, illegals outrank the military

Should American citizens be treated differently than immigrants illegally entering the country?  How about our men and women who serve in the military?  Many would likely answer yes, but that’s not the way it appears to be playing out when it comes to COVID vaccine mandates.

Recently, the brother of Col. Alexander Vindman, of impeachment infamy, expressed his support for a prosecution team that secured a first in the nation conviction of a lieutenant for failing to get a COVID-19 vaccine.  Regardless where one stands on the issue of mandates, the double standard when it comes to the new vaccine policy announced for migrants is hard to accept.  In the midst of firing members of the military for not getting jabbed, the Biden administration has declared the pandemic over for purposes of turning migrants away from the Southern Border (i.e., use of Title 42) and stated it will no longer be implementing COVID mitigation measures such as testing and vaccines for migrants entering the country.  The idea that those not legally in the country are entitled to more liberty and autonomy than American citizens may strike many as puzzling.

Given the migrant numbers, the contradiction in treatment is staggering.  More than 2.4 million illegal migrants have come in contact with Border Patrol agents since President Joe Biden took office, and that number does not include those who are not caught.  The CBP encounter 221,303 illegals in March 2022 alone, the 13th straight month of over 150,000 encounters -- a trend never before recorded.  Many of these people are ferried to various cities in the U.S. and, since they are no longer tested or vaccinated, could potentially spread COVID-19 to unsuspecting U.S. citizens who come in contact with them.

Is this double standard acceptable to most Americans?  How many Americans fully understand the differing levels of treatment?  This is what drives my organization, the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) to be so active.  We have sent Freedom of Information Act requests to the federal government to find out the basis for these policies and how they are being implemented, so the public can be properly informed of why American citizens should be subject to tighter restrictions than those illegally entering our country.  The American people need to know.  And they will, if CASA has anything to say about it.

GOP Rep. Rosendale Blasts Congress for Not Holding Hearings on Formula Shortage Until May 25

1:14

During an interview on Newsmax TV on Wednesday, Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) reacted to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce announcing that it will hold hearings on the national shortages of baby formula on May 25 by wondering how there can be “that kind of a delay on something as important as baby formula” and “We have had scheduling problems” in Congress since the day he took office.

Rosendale said, “We have had scheduling problems since the day I was sworn into office, and I could not run my businesses the way that the Democrats are running Congress right now, and for us to have that kind of a delay on something as important as baby formula. It’s not like infants can have some kind of a substitute. Adults, okay, we may not like it, but we can change the kind of things that we consume in our diet. We could struggle through. You cannot do that with infants. I have a grandchild that was just born within the last 30 days, and I’ve got major concerns. This is very personal to me about what in the world is going to happen with these formula supplies.”

Pollak: Joe Biden Is Letting Babies Go Hungry in America

President Joe Biden is failing to address the acute shortage of baby formula across the country, which is resulting in panic for mothers, for whom formula is a necessary supplement or substitute for breast milk.

The New York Times reported Tuesday: “A Baby Formula Shortage Leaves Desperate Parents Searching for Food.” A headline once impossible in America.

On Wednesday, incoming press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked who at the White House was “running point” on the baby shortage. She had no idea.

Instead, she assured reporters that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was rushing to make sure formula is “safe.” She blamed “Abbott’s voluntary recall of infant formula products,” which took place after four infants were hospitalized, and two died, though there is no proven link yet with the formula itself, according to the FDA.(The White House cannot get its message straight: on Monday, press secretary Jen Psaki said the FDA had “issued” the recall.)

Meanwhile, desperate mothers are considering their options: driving for hours to find formula somewhere; trying to restart breast-feeding; or even trying to create their own homemade substitutes, which the government has advised them not to do.
They face the prospect of being unable to feed hungry, panicked, and crying infants, who are incapable of understanding why their mothers, who have nurtured them every moment of their lives thus far, are somehow, suddenly, declining to feed them.

If this were the Trump administration, the media would have been demanding answers. They would have been insisting that the president invoke the Defense Production Act, as they did of Trump during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.

And Trump would have taken charge.

As former aide Stephen Miller argued, “There’d of course be no formula shortage if 45 were in office. But pretending there was: he’d have instantly issued [executive orders], brought formula CEOs to Oval Office for public mtg, held Cab Mtg to break all logjams, told FDA head fix or be fired, made all staff work overtime till SOLVED.” What Biden does is pass the buck, despite promising voters in 2020: “I’ll take responsibility instead of blaming others.”

Biden agrees that it is a scandal when Americans go hungry. He shouted during a speech Wednesday: “Remember those long lines you’d see in a television and people lining up in all kinds of vehicles just to get a box of food in their trunk?” He added that the “MAGA crowd” wanted to ignore the destitute.

Never mind that Trump sent Americans stimulus checks; suspended rent and student loans; and gave businesses billions in emergency loans, while Democrats imposed mandates and lockdowns.

Well, now we have another hunger crisis — one that affects the most vulnerable human beings in our society. And it is not enough to blame a recall, or the pandemic. Americans want Biden to do something. But he is letting babies go hungry.

Maryland Mom of Twins Worries over Baby Formula Shortage: ‘This Is Scary!’

Infant formula aisle in Virginia store has signs limiting the amount each customer may buy.
Breitbart News

A Maryland mom of four is furious at the Biden administration for the current state of affairs in the country — particularly the supply chain crisis and the impact it is having on her children, as she struggles to find formula for her 10-month-old twins.

“I have enough formula for two babies for 14 days,” Kayla Zurenko, a mom of four, told Fox News Digital, explaining that she has searched the tri-state area for formula for her babies. “Where am I going to find formula after that?”

“This has GOT to be addressed!!!!” she wrote on Facebook on May 9. “Raise the gas prices, inflate the food, but give our babies the food they NEED!!!! How the hell did this just become optional?”

She continued:

I shouldn’t have to search a tri-STATE area for baby formula – and STILL not find any! My online orders are being canceled, stores are out, with no end in sight. I have enough formula for 14 more days and I’ve got TWO babies! It has become a full time job for me searching daily for formula to ensure we don’t run out but every day, I come up empty! I don’t see anyone outraged over this besides PARENTS.
She added that the issue should be a “TOP priority immediately for every government agency and this joke of an administration! THIS IS SCARY!”

For now, Zurenko is trying to find workarounds, as her family in other parts of the country are checking local stores for baby formula and sending it to her if they have any. But even when they do find some, the family runs into snags, as customers are typically limited to purchasing a certain amount as stores such as Walgreens and CVS are rationing the supply.

“I have to show them pictures of my twins,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Look, I really have two babies.’”

“Formula is fundamental for all of us moms who don’t have a choice in the matter. And we’re going to have babies that are malnourished,” she said, adding that people are complaining about gas prices and inflation, but pointing out, “at least food and gas are available.”

“Gas is way too high and it’s overpriced. But it’s available — that is the difference.”

“I would almost rather the formula be available and the prices inflated, like everything else in the country right now,” she said, adding that the Biden administration would likely be “jumping in” to “fight” the battle if the country ran out of gas rather than formula.

Biden’s baby formula shortage has driven countless parents across the country into panic, as they tell the stories of their struggles to access nourishment for their babies.

“Since early April, baby formula out-of-stock rates have soared to 40 percent across the country, according to our analysis,” Ben Reich, CEO of Datasembly told Breitbart News.

“Baby formula demonstrated inflationary spikes in July of 2021, and the situation has continued to worsen the first few months of 2022. Inflation, supply chain shortages and product recalls have continued to bring volatility to the category, and continues to be one of the most affected products in the market,” he added.

This week, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) attributed the baby formula shortage to the economic shutdown during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has yet to allow an Abbott Laboratories plant in Sturgis, Michigan, to reopen, after it was forced to recall baby formula and shut down over allegations of contaminated formula months ago. The FDA has not said when it can reopen, even though an investigation  revealed that “infant formula produced at our Sturgis facility is not the likely source of infection in the reported cases and that there was not an outbreak caused by products from the facility,” according to Abbott.

Bidenflation Squeezes Parents and Pet Owners: Prices Up for Baby Food, Toddler Clothes, Breakfast Cereal, Milk, Juice, Snacks, and Pet Food

The last year of inflation has made it much more expensive to raise children or own pets in the United States.

The latest report on the Consumer Price Index showed that prices overall are up 8.3 percent compared with a year ago. That number may actually downplay the real toll of inflation because prices were already rising rapidly last April, so last month’s price increases are on top of already high prices.

Parents may be feeling especially squeezed because of rising prices on food, childcare, and even clothes for children.  Here are some of the 12-month changes in price hikes of stuff for children.

  • Baby food: up 13 percent.
  • Infant and toddler clothes: up 8.8 percent.
  • Breakfast cereal: up 10.3 percent.
  • Hot dogs: up 6.9 percent.
  • Fresh and frozen chicken parts (think: nuggets): up 17.9 percent.
  • Fresh whole milk: 15.7 percent.
  • Ice cream: up 4.7 percent.
  • Fresh fruit: up 8.3 percent.
  • Fresh vegetables: up 6.3 percent.
  • Canned fruits and vegetables: up 10.4 percent.
  • Juice: up 9.3 percent.
  • Snacks: up 9.8 percent.
  • Fast food: up 7 percent.
  • Boys clothes: up 3.8 percent.
  • Girls clothes: up 4.7 percent.
  • Boys and girls shoes: up 5 percent.
  • Bicycles: up 8 percent.
