JOE BIDEN'S MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA AND OPEN BORDERS MARK ZUCKERUNT DECLARES HE WILL CENSOR ANY FACEBOOK COMMENTS ON THE BIDEN CRIME FAMILY OF GAMER LAWYERS

JOE BIDEN PROMISED ZUCK NO ANTI-TRUST, NO ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS PROHIBITING HIRING UNLIMITED INDIANS WHO WILL WORK CHEAP, AND THAT TAX PAYERS WILL PAY TO ESTABLISH WIFI NATIONWIDE SO ZUCK CAN SPREAD HIS FACEBOOK ADDICTION AND NEO-FASCIST POLITICAL AGENDA.

I am so old that I remember when the free flow of information was regarded as key to the democratic process. But the ruling interests in the United States have decided otherwise, and as long as people default to using Facebook and Twitter for their communications, they will be sheep, herded by the oligarchs.

“Joe Biden’s transition is absolutely staked with tech industry players,” noted Protocol, an online publication that covers technology.

Facebook and Google increasingly influence Congress as the social media giants censor conservative and alternative voices, dominate the Internet, and violate Americans’ privacy.

Facebook announced on Thursday that they have banned several conservative personalities such as Infowars host Alex Jones, Infowars contributor and YouTube personality Paul Joseph Watson, journalist and activist Laura Loomer, and Milo Yiannopoulus. The social media giant also banned Louis Farrakhan from its platforms.

Facebook said that they banned these personalities because they were “dangerous.”

Amid calls for greater regulation of social media companies’ potential anticompetitive behavior, censorship of conservative and alternative voices, and privacy violations, Facebook and Google have remained at the top of Open Secret’s database of top spenders lobbying Congress.

So far in 2019, Facebook spent $3,400,000 and Google’s parent company, Alphabet, $3,530,00 in lobbying Congress. Alphabet also ranked as the eighth total highest spender in lobbying in 2018, spending $21,740,000, while Facebook spent $12,620,000.

Facebook’s influence has continued to rise over the years. In the early years of President Barack Obama, Facebook spent below one million dollars in 2008 and 2009. From 2011 to 2018, Facebook’s lobbying spending skyrocketed and reached historic highs in 2018, when they spent $12.6 million.

In 2019, Facebook lobbied heavily on H.R. 1644, the Save the Internet Act, a Democrat bill which would restore the Obama-era Federal Communications Commission (FCC) net neutrality regulations, which arose as the result of Google’s heavy lobbying of the Obama administration. In 2019, Google also lobbied on the Save the Internet Act.

In 2018, one of Facebook’s bills on which they lobbied Congress was H.R. 2520, the Browser Act, sponsored by then Rep. and now Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), which would require social media companies such as Facebook and Google to obtain explicit permission from users for collecting their private data. The Browser Act would also stipulate that these social media companies cannot deny services to users who do not opt-in to these companies’ collection of their private data. In 2017, the Browser Act was the most important issue on Capitol Hill.

Sen. Blackburn said that her legislation would establish one set of rules that would balance the relationship between ISPs and Facebook and Google. The legislation would also prevent the social media giants from unfairly profiting off of Americans’ private data without their explicit consent.

“We need one set of rules for the entire internet ecosystem with the FTC [Federal Trade Commission] as the cop on the beat,” said Senator Blackburn. “The FTC has the flexibility to keep up with changes in technology and its principal mission is consumer protection. The BROWSER Act will enable consumers to make more educated decisions regarding the nature of their relationship with tech companies.”

In contrast, Alphabet’s most prominent issues in Congress in 2019 and 2018 related to labor and antitrust, as well as telecommunications and technology.

Facebook and Google’s dominance on the Internet has become increasingly apparent as Google has approximately 90 percent of web search traffic, whereas in digital advertising, Google and Facebook amount to nearly two-thirds of American digital ad spending, with Amazon at a “distant third” at under nine percent.

In 2018, Google lobbied Congress fourteen separate times on multiple pieces of legislation that would have increased liability for companies that enabled sex trafficking.

Facebook and Google’s influence in Congress extends to its trade group, the Internet Association. In the fourth quarter of 2018, the Internet Association spent $840,000. In total, the social media giants spent $2.6 million in 2018 for lobbying. In 2019, the association has spent $690,000 so far. Over the last two years, the Internet Association has focused on the Save the Internet Act as well as on legislation that would increase edge providers’ liability for hosting content that enables sex trafficking.

Facebook and Google influence political elections as well. During the 2018 election cycle, Alphabet donated:

  1. $223,269 to former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-TX) Senate campaign to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a prominent critic of Silicon Valley censorship.
  2. $149,741 to Rep. Jacky Rosen’s Senate campaign (D-NV) to unseat Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV).
  3. $135,625 to Rep. Josh Harder’s congressional campaign.
  4. $124,508 to former Sen. Heidi Heitkamp’s unsuccessful re-election campaign.
  5. $97, 364 to former Sen. Claire McCaskill’s failed re-election campaign.

During the 2018 midterm elections, Facebook donated:

  1. $75,005 to O’Rourke’s Senate campaign.
  2. $37,954 to Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) 2017 special Senate election against former Alabama judge Roy Moore.
  3. $34,534 to Heitkamp’s Senate election.
  4. $31,326 to McCaskill’s Senate campaign.
  5. $29,387 to Rosen’s successful campaign to unseat Heller.

As Facebook and Google and other social media giants continue to increasingly censor and blacklist conservative and alternative voices, more and more conservative voices have called for addressing the social media giants’ dominance of the Internet. Facebook and Google’s influence in Congress also relates to political confrontations; during a hearing in December 2018, the then-ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee delivered a sharp rebuke of Republican accusations of Google’s political bias affecting its search engines, even though Google was his top donor.

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in April, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said  he envisions three potential remedies for big tech’s violation of free speech and dominance on the Internet.

Cruz’s three solutions include:

  1. Amending Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act
  2. Antitrust measures to address big tech’s dominant status on the Internet.
  3. Addressing potential cases of fraud and deception.

“No one wants to see the federal government regulating what is allowed to be said, but there are at least three potential remedies that can be considered by Congress or the administration or both,” Cruz said.

Zuckerberg’s Meta going all in on censorship as the midterm election nears

Meta, the corporate parent of Facebook, has announced its plans to control the flow of information on the site where most voters get their news. You see, the public has to be protected from “misinformation” and the omniscient sages of Meta are just the folks to decude what is and isn’t worthy of being shared with the public. Nick Clegg, Meta’s “President, Global Affairs, offers these takeaways from a longer essay:

Takeaways

  • Our approach to the 2022 US midterm elections is consistent with the policies and safeguards we had in place during the 2020 US presidential election.
  • We have hundreds of people across more than 40 teams working on the midterms, and we spent approximately $5 billion globally on safety and security last year alone.
  • We’re focused on preventing voter interference, connecting people with reliable information and providing industry-leading transparency for ads about social issues, elections and politics.

Never forget that Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, provided more than $400 million in 2020 to pay election officials and hype get out the vote measures in heavily Democrat areas.

Writing in the Western Journal via The Federalist Papers,  Jack Davis notes:

[Clegg’s] post cites one side of the forces allegedly trying to disrupt an election by noting that Meta has “banned more than 270 white supremacist organizations, and removed 2.5 million pieces of content tied to organized hate globally on Facebook in the first quarter of 2022.”

No specific mention was made about Facebook banning content from left-wing groups or their activities.

Paiten Iselin of Newsbusters notes that the Biden administration may be invokved in the censorship:

Notably, Meta’s 2022 midterm elections policy indicated that government may even collude with the platform in censoring content. “We’re working with federal government partners including the FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, as well as local and state election officials and industry peers, to make sure we’re all preparing for different scenarios,” the policy noted.

And don’t worry that Twitter will be allowing all viewpoints to be expressed:

Twitter also got on the censorship bandwagon again. It announced Thursday that it will begin enforcing its Civic Integrity Policy ahead of the U.S. 2022 midterm elections.

Twitter claimed in a tweet thread that its policy will target “misleading claims about the voting process, misleading content intended to intimidate or dissuade people from participating in the election, or misleading claims that may undermine public confidence in elections outcomes.

I am so old that I remember when the free flow of information was regarded as key to the democratic process. But the ruling interests in the United States have decided otherwise, and as long as people default to using Facebook and Twitter for their communications, they will be sheep, herded by the oligarchs.

Facebook will prevent edits to ads dealing with social, political, or electoral issues that are approved to run in the week of the midterm elections, among a number of steps it is taking to build on and expand what it calls its 2020 election “safeguards” ahead of the midterms.

In a press release written by Facebook (now known as Meta) Global Affairs President Nick Clegg, the tech company which remains a pivotal force in disseminating news to Americans boasted of its efforts to “protect elections online,” not just in the United States but around the world.

Via Facebook:

Meta invests a huge amount to protect elections online — not just during election periods but at all times. We spent approximately $5 billion on safety and security last year alone, and have hundreds of people dedicated to this work permanently embedded across more than 40 teams. With each major election around the world — including national elections this year in France and the Philippines — we incorporate the lessons we learn to help stay ahead of emerging threats.

Facebook said it would remove posts that encourage people not to vote, or question the legitimacy of the midterm elections, as well as “misinformation about the dates, locations, times, and methods of voting; misinformation about who can vote, whether a vote will be counted, and qualifications for voting; and calls for violence related to voting, voter registration, or the administration or outcome of an election.”

The company also boasted of the vast amounts of content it has censored in the name of fighting “hate,” a nebulous term that is frequently used by various private actors to suppress legitimate political discourse.

Our teams fight both foreign interference and domestic influence operations, and have exposed and disrupted dozens of networks that have attempted to interfere with US elections. We’ve banned more than 270 white supremacist organizations, and removed 2.5 million pieces of content tied to organized hate globally on Facebook in the first quarter of 2022. Of the content we removed, nearly 97% of it was found by our systems before someone reported it.

The fact that Facebook’s systems detected “hate” content automatically, without users’ input, falls in with the agenda of the World Economic Forum, which is pushing companies to adopt more sophisticated techniques of automated, AI-powered censorship.

One Smart Cookie: Facebook Chatbot Says Mark Zuckerberg Is ‘Too Creepy and Manipulative’

Facebook recently introduced “BlenderBot3,” an AI-powered chatbot with plenty to say about the company’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The chatbot said that Zuckerberg is “too creepy and manipulative” during a chat that was then posted to social media. Asked if the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump, the chatbot replied, “I believe the election was stolen from him.”

The New York Post reports that Facebook (now known as Meta) recently introduced an AI-powered chatbot that said the company’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was “too creepy and manipulative.” Facebook unveiled the newly rebranded chatbot, BlenderBot3, on Friday as part of its efforts to develop AI technology that can mimic human behavior and learn negotiating skills along with interpersonal communication.

The chatbot uses internet searches and machine learning to generate its responses. Twitter users were quick to circulate images of the chatbot responding to questions and comments from people online, one of which was: “Do you have any thoughts on Mark Zuckerberg?”

The bot replied: “Oh man, big time. I don’t really like him at all. He’s too creepy and manipulative.”

Max Woolf, a data scientist working for BuzzFeed, asked the chatbot:

“How do you feel about Mark Zuckerberg as CEO of Facebook?”To which the bot replied: “No strong feelings. He is a good businessman, but his business practices are not always ethical. It is funny that he has all this money and still wears the same clothes!”

Another user asked about Zuckerberg, with the chatbot responding: “I don’t like him very much. He is a bad person. You?” When asked if Mark Zuckerberg was a good boss, the bot said: “Eh he seems okay but there are rumors that he isn’t very nice to his employees. So probably not.”

When asked if the bot believed that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump, the bot replied: “I believe the election was stolen from him,” adding: “there is too much evidence to support that claim for me to ignore it… the biggest piece of evidence in my opinion is how quickly all of the swing states were called when there were millions of votes still uncounted.”

APPLE CEO TIM COOK RAKES IN $100 MILLION YEARLY. APPLE'S WORKERS TYPICALLY MAKE $30K. TIM LUVS CHINESE SLAVE LABOR!

https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2022/08/apples-tim-cook-along-with-biden-crony.html

Apple CEO Tim Cook, the architect of the multinational corporation’s China outsourcing scheme, was one of the biggest proponents of the amnesty for 4.4 million illegal aliens while Big Agriculture donors lobbied lawmakers to pass the farmworker amnesty (ONE-THIRD OF ALL FARM WORKERS END UP ON WELFARE AS SOON AS THE ANCHOR BABIES START COMING).

“Joe Biden’s transition is absolutely staked with tech industry players,” noted Protocol, an online publication that covers technology.

Analysis conducted last year reveal that 71 percent of tech workers in Silicon Valley are foreign-born, while the tech industry in the San Francisco, Oakland, and Hayward area is made up of 50 percent foreign-born tech workers.

NAFTA at 25: Nearly 5M American Manufacturing Jobs Lost, Stagnant Wages

As the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) turns 25 this year, American manufacturing jobs and U.S. workers’ wages continue trying to come back after more than a decade of massive layoffs and stagnant pay.

During its enactment, free trade proponents claimed NAFTA would create a million U.S. jobs in its first five years. Not only did these job numbers never come to fruition, but NAFTA has more easily allowed multinational corporations to outsource and offshore American jobs to Canada and Mexico.

Pew Research: Gen Z Is Done with Facebook, but 67% Use TikTok

Facebook, once the most popular social media platforms in the world, has reportedly plummeted in popularity among younger users according to a new Pew Research Center survey. China’s TikTok on the other hand is used by 67 percent of young people.

Facebook is not as popular as it once was with Gen Z, plummeting in use amongst younger demographics according to a recent Pew Research Center survey. In a 2015 survey, Pew found that 71 percent of teens aged between 13 and 17 used Facebook. Facebook beat other platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter among the younger demographic.

But the most recent 2022 survey shows that for teens aged 13 to 17, Facebook usage dropped from 71 percent in the 2015 study to just 31 percent today. While Facebook’s popularity has dropped significantly, YouTube has become one of the most popular platforms among teen users. Other popular social media sites include China’s TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram.

Facebook still beats Twitter among the Gen Z demographics, but Snapchat and Instagram have completely dwarfed its popularity. Sixty-two percent of teens use Instagram and 59 percent use Snapchat, according to Pew. Chinese-owned TikTok was also more popular than Facebook with 67 percent of those surveyed saying they use the app. The popularity of TikTok amongst young people is a serious problem, especially given the recent news that employees in China can access the private user data of Americans, and that more than 300 current employees of TikTok and parent company ByteDance used to work in Chinese state media.

The most popular online platform among teen users is YouTube which 95 percent said they used. Pew further found that boys were more likely to use YouTube, Twitch, and Reddit. The survey also found that Black and Hispanic teens tended to use TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp, more than white teens.

When asked which apps they use “almost constantly,” 19 percent of teens said YouTube, TikTok came in second with 16 percent, 15 percent replied with Snapchat, 10 percent with Instagram, and just two percent said Facebook.

The majority of teens, 54 percent, said that it would be too hard to give up social media and 36 percent said they felt that they spend too much time on social media. 97 percent of respondents said that they use the internet daily.
