JOE BIDEN - THE MAN WHO LOVED DICTATORS - GOP Sen. Sullivan: Biden’s Delaying Alaskan Energy Projects that Have Dem Support While They Beg Dictators

GOP Sen. Sullivan: Biden’s Delaying Alaskan Energy Projects that Have Dem Support While They Beg Dictators

1:50

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow,” Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) criticized the Biden administration for dragging out the approval for the Willow Project for oil development in Alaska that has broad support while “this President and his team continue to go bended knee to beg from dictators.”

Sullivan stated, [relevant remarks begin around 2:30] “It’s not just the Gulf of Mexico, but, in Alaska, we have a project, for example, called the Willow Project. It’s the most environmentally sound, lower emission big energy project in the world, and yet, we’re still waiting on approvals from the Biden administration on the Willow Project in Alaska, thousands of jobs. Everybody agrees that it’s a really important project, not just for my state, but for the country. It could produce up to 190,000 barrels a day. And what do they do? They’re delaying Willow. They’re probably going to cut the Gulf of Mexico. This undermines the environment. But it’s also remarkable because they then go hat in hand to dictators who don’t like us. And, to your point, the Venezuelan production of energy is some of the dirtiest in the world. The Saudis are up there with them. And yet, this President and his team continue to go bended knee to beg from dictators. It’s an insult to the American people. I’ll tell you who else it’s an insult to, David, to the great American worker.”

Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK) has joined with Sullivan and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) in demanding the administration quickly approve the project.

Biden Puts Rogue Regimes Ahead of American Families

The outcome will be a disaster.

President Joe Biden is draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to keep gas prices low solely because he wants to mitigate voter wrath against the Democrats. This comes as OPEC cuts back production by 2 million barrels a day. That will drive up costs, drive up the repurchase cost for the petroleum reserve and increase our national debt, which has now shot above $31 trillion with interest rates rising and debt service payments rising.

Biden has created this mess in large part because he is subservient to rogue regimes and puts their needs ahead of Americans. The outcome will be an emboldened China and a national security headache for the United States.

One of the reasons OPEC is going to cut production is because the majority of the Arab nations involved in OPEC are furious with Biden trying to cut a deal with Iran. Biden stopped considering the Houthi terrorists, funded by Iran, to be terrorists, and the Houthi then escalated attacks on the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

In advancing Iran’s interests at the peace table, Biden risks further destabilization in the Middle East in large part because no one really believes Iran will stop until it has a nuclear weapon. Iran is no friend of most of its Middle Eastern neighbors and wants to be the dominant power in the Middle East over and against Saudi Arabia. This has alienated him from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and others as China and Russia seek to ingratiate themselves with our longtime allies.

Biden has also been highly antagonistic to Saudi Arabia. He insisted he would not meet with the de facto ruler, Mohammed bin Salman, then had to go grovel to Salman for more oil. Now, despite the groveling to his face, Salman has responded to Biden’s knives in Salman’s back by leading OPEC to its production reduction.

Biden’s team and congressional Democrats decided to threaten both OPEC and Saudi Arabia. Biden is signaling he’s now OK with Congress pushing legislation that would purport to make OPEC legally liable for price collusion. Good luck with that when OPEC stops sending the United States oil. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., wants a wholesale revision of our relationship with the Saudis. Doing either will make the Carter years look downright utopian.

Unfortunately, the Biden response further enables rogue regimes. First, The Wall Street Journal reports Biden is going to ease sanctions on Venezuela, a nation that brutalizes its own people, so Chevron can go get more oil. Biden has been hostile to Saudi Arabia in large part because of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, who wrote for The Washington Post. Because the Venezuelans only kill their citizens and not Washington Post reporters, Biden is willing to help them raise more money to kill and persecute more Venezuelans.

The best response would be for the Biden administration to open up domestic energy production. It would lower costs and create jobs. But the Biden administration would rather alienate our Middle Eastern allies, embolden terrorist regimes and side with murderous dictators than let Americans go to work producing our own domestic energy. In September, The Wall Street Journal reported, “The Biden administration has leased fewer acres for oil-and-gas drilling offshore and on federal land than any other administration in its early stages dating back to the end of World War II.”

The Biden administration’s infatuation with getting rid of fossil fuels, something that will not happen, is driving up inflation and empowering China, Russia, Iran and Venezuela. Part of an environmentalist cult, the Biden administration is going to profoundly destabilize the world. Right now, it is draining our domestic oil reserves and driving up the costs to fill those reserves back up just as we can least afford the payments.

Former President Barack Obama wanted to never let a crisis go to waste. Biden is manufacturing a crisis to take advantage of it, but a lot of smarter and more nefarious regimes are taking advantage of his aged infirmities and his administration’s malodorous schemes to force Americans into a lithium dependence, largely controlled by China. Now, as gas prices rise again, expect Democrats to claim Saudi Arabia is trying to help elect Republicans.

Chip Roy Calls on Republicans to ‘Go on Offense,’ Warns Democrats ‘Want to Kill Our Country’

Republicans should “go on offense” and “lead,” according to Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), who urged them to “go out in full force to get every Republican elected running against a Democrat,” while warning that “Democrats want to kill our country,” and the Biden administration is “at war with the American people.”

Speaking with conservative commentator Dan Bongino on his eponymous radio show on Thursday, Roy lamented the reality that “Republicans, unfortunately, have too often cowered in the corner, wringing their hands about ‘shutdowns.’”

By contrast, Roy suggested Republicans “stop accepting the rhetoric of the left in the media [and] instead, go on offense.”

“Why on earth would I be taking taxpayer money, borrowing money and printing money, to fund a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that is purposely allowing cartels to control our border and fentanyl to come in and kill Americans?” he asked. “That’s the question to ask.”

Instead, Roy called to “turn it on its head and say ‘I will only fund a Department of Homeland Security that will actually secure the border, stop the flow, empower Americans — not cartels, and stop the fentanyl pouring into our country.’”

According to Roy, only a DHS fulfilling those duties has his support.

“Now I’m on board,” he said. “I’ll fund that, but I’m not going to fund the other.”

“That’s not ‘shutdown,’” he explained. “That’s not, ‘Oh, I’m walking away from my responsibility.’”

The Texas congressman asserted that an ideal DHS “will only take taxpayer money and use it for the good of the taxpayer and to carry out the constitutional duty for which [it] was hired.”

Claiming it is “not a hard concept” to grasp, Roy stated that his efforts were beginning to succeed.

“We are starting to see some success,” he said. “We gotta keep beating the drum. Not one more penny.”

Being a subject “we’ve been talking about [for] the last two months,” Roy highlighted the importance to “keep saying it.”

“We gotta keep browbeating Republicans because, look, I’m 100 percent on board with getting Republicans elected between now and November 8,” he said.

“Democrats want to kill our country, but on November 9 it is wake-up day for Republicans and they better gird their loins because we are going to hold Republicans accountable to fight for the American people,” he added.

Warning of today’s Democratic “terms,” Roy, 50, urged voters to “go out in full force to get every Republican elected running against a Democrat.”

“If you’re a Democrat running today on the Democratic ticket, you are accepting the terms of this administration and accepting the terms of [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi to be at war with the American people,” he said.

“You are not aligned with our values. You are not aligned with the Constitution. You are not in any way for limited government, free enterprise, our faith in the Lord Almighty, and allowing the American people to prosper,” he added.

The Texas representative also asserted that he wanted “as big a majority as we can have,” as he called to elect Republicans, explaining that he does not “accept the premise that these [moderate Republicans] who run in so-called purple districts… that the right way to do that is to cave.”

Drawing from his own personal experience, Roy recalled that when he ran two years ago against Democrat Wendy Davis in Austin, TX, he succeeded despite having a “tighter” district:

I ran hardcore as a conservative, unabashedly, unapologetically, and we won by seven points. We outperformed President Trump. We had lots of people enthusiastically supporting us, even some liberals that were like, ‘You know, I don’t always agree with you, but I appreciate that you stand up for what you believe in.’

Rep. Roy concluded by calling on Republicans to “lead” instead of being led.

“You gotta lead, damn it!” he exclaimed.

“Get up and stand up for something and stand up for America and people will follow,” he added.

Roy’s comments come as the Biden administration continues to pander to progressives as it adopts more extreme, far-left policies, and as support for the current presidency continues to drop.

On Friday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said that everything President Joe Biden touches “has gone to garbage.”

“I would say Joe Biden is gaslighting, but I’m not sure anyone can afford gas anymore,” he added.

Last month, Roy accused House Democrats of looking to protect their allies in the federal bureaucracy — who “should be jailed for their tyranny” — making them more difficult to fire and less accountable to the American people.

In August, he pledged to end proxy voting, along with IRS agents, FBI agents abusing their authority, and those at the DHS who have attacked Border Patrol agents, should Republicans take back Congress.

In July, the congressman warned that America is “under invasion” as Americans are dying while cartels continue to profit.

He also slammed the Biden administration’s open border policies and accused the “MIA” Democrats of not caring about the impact of such policies on Americans and migrants alike.

IT'S  UGLY, WHAT JOE BIDEN HAS DONE TO AMERICA AND HE ISN'T FINISHED!

THE PARASITE GAMER LAWYER CLASS   -  DESTROYING AMERICA AND GETTING

FILTHY RICH DOING IT!
“Protect and enrich.” This is a perfect encapsulation of the Clinton (LAWYERS) Foundation and the Obama (LAWYERS) book and television deals. Then there is the Biden family (LAWYERS) corruption, followed closely behind by similar abuses of power and office by the Warren (LAWYER) and Sanders families, as Peter Schweizer described in his recent book “Profiles in Corruption.” These names just scratch the surface of government corruption.                              BRIAN C JOONDEPH

L.A. Times: California Policymakers Have Failed for Decades on Gas Prices

The reliably left-wing Los Angeles Times has published an unusually candid analysis: that California’s policymakers, given ample warnings about the state’s vulnerability to high gas prices, have failed to do anything to address the basic problems that cause them.

The Times recounted how the state created special committees in the 1990s, and again in the last decade, to deal with the challenges created by California’s “green” regulations and its aggressive environmental rules on the one hand, and market realities on the other.

The Times noted Friday:

California officials have had repeated warnings over the last two decades that the state’s unique blend of gasoline is susceptible to supply shortages and sharp price spikes.

But despite multiple reports and special committees, California has struggled to find solutions as it tries to rapidly reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.

Gov. Gavin Newsom’s decision last week to switch early to the state’s easier and cheaper winter blend of fuel has been credited for minor relief at the pump. But experts say that move alone does little to remedy a situation that keeps reaching crisis levels. The average price for a gallon of gasoline remains well above $6 in California, about 70% higher than the national average, according to the American Automobile Assn.

Newsom has blamed oil and gas companies for the recent rise in prices to near-record levels, even as much of the rest of the country has experienced a modest decline in prices from the late spring highs. But as a spokesman for Valero, the company that operates two of the state’s 11 refineries, recently noted in a letter to the California Energy Commission, “market drivers of supply and demand, together with government-imposed costs and specifications,” are the main reasons for high prices in California, and cited a recent federal judicial decision that dismissed claims of price collusion in the industry.

Moreover, he added, “California is the most challenging market to serve in the United States” because of regulations that require a unique blend of gasoline; because of its environmental regulations; and because state policymakers have made it difficult to operate refineries, limiting supply in a crisis.
