The Biden Economy Lurches into Faster Deterioration

Not only did the U.S. business sector slump for the fourth straight month in October, but the pace of the deterioration also picked up, data from S&P Global indicated on Monday.

Manufacturers and services businesses reported weaker demand, S&P’s monthly survey of purchasing managers indicated.

The “flash” composite purchasing managers index (PMI) fell to 47.3 this month from 49.5 in September. This suggests an acceleration in the decline in business activity to what S&P said is the second-fastest fall in almost two-and-a-half years.

Business linked the decline to weak client demand and the impact of inflation and higher interest rates.

A reading below 50 indicates the private sector contracted in the month.

“The U.S. economic downturn gathered significant momentum in October, while confidence in the outlook also deteriorated sharply,” S&P Chief Business Economist Chris Williamson. “The decline was led by a downward lurch in services activity, fueled by the rising cost of living and tightening financial conditions.”

Services had fallen into deep contraction at 43.7 in August but rebounded to a modest contraction in September at 49.3. Forecasters had thought it would hold that level. Instead, services fell deeper into contraction at 46.6.

Manufacturing was expected to hold onto the modest expansion level of 52 recorded last month. Instead, September was revised down to 51.2 and the October reading fell into slight contraction at 49.9. This was the first month in contraction since June of 2020.

The flash composite new orders index slid to 49.0 from a final reading of 50.9 in September.

“While output in manufacturing remains more resilient for now, October saw a steep drop in demand for goods, meaning current output is only being maintained by firms eating into backlogs of previously placed orders. Clearly this is unsustainable absent of a revival in demand, and it’s no surprise to see firms cutting back sharply on their input buying to prepare for lower output in coming months,” Williamson said.

Weaker demand has eased pressure on supply chains and should mean lower inflationary pressure in the future. For now, however, prices are still rising at a rapid pace even while the economy struggles.

“The surveys therefore present a picture of the economy at increased risk of contracting in the fourth quarter at the same time that inflationary pressures remain stubbornly high. However, there are clearly signs that weakening demand is helping to moderate the overall rate of inflation, which should continue to fall in the coming months, especially if interest rates continue to rise,” Williamson said.

Poll: All-Time High Economic Discontent Spells Doom for Democrats

The Democrats’ chances of retaining the House and Senate are becoming less and less likely due to all-time record high metrics within midterm polling, according to a Sunday survey by NBC News.

Seventy-one percent of registered voters say the nation under Democrat rule is on the wrong track, a record high disapproval. Only 20 percent say the nation is on the right track.

Fifty-seven percent disapprove of President Joe Biden’s management of the economy, a record high. Only 38 percent approve.

Fifty percent say the Democrats’ economy will get worse, another record high. Only 20 percent believe the economy will improve.

The poll sampled 1,000 registered voters from October 14-18 with a 3.1 margin of error.

Even worse for Democrats, the sagging economy is the number-one midterm issue for voters. According to a Wednesday Politico/Morning Consult poll, 81 percent of voters say the Democrats’ economy will be a “major” factor in how they vote. Eighty percent say the same about inflation.

Americans have been significantly impacted by inflation. The soaring costs mean that after adjusting for inflation, wages for American families are down $6,000 under Democrat rule, a Heritage Foundation study revealed. That is an increase from an earlier estimate that put the decline in real wages at $4,200.

The economic pain appears to be having an impact in individual races throughout the nation, even in solid blue areas. On Monday the Political Cook Report moved Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney’s (D-NY) district from “Lean D” to “Toss Up.” The potential defeat of the DCCC chief, whose job it is to keep the House under Democrat control, would be a historic upset.

In New York, the state’s gubernatorial race is a toss up between Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and Rep. Lee Zeldin. In fact, Zeldin has a slight lead over Hochul in a recent poll. If Zeldin pulls off the upset, Zeldin would be just the second Republican governor of the state since 1975.

Republicans have also expanded the map in Washington State, where Republican Senate candidate Tiffany Smiley is within the margin of error of 30-year incumbent Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA). The University of Virginia Center for Politics has put the race on “upset alert.” Smiley has managed to out-raise Murray by nearly double in the third quarter ($6-3.3 million).

Additional polling suggests that every Senate battleground state is in play for Republicans, though Democrats are well behind in states they need to retake, such as Florida, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. In contrast, Republicans are performing well in Nevada, Georgia, and Ohio. Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Arizona are all within the margin of error with still 17 days until election day.

Most Say Democrat Victory in the Midterms Would ‘Hurt’ U.S. Economy

Most “likely” voters believe a Democrat victory in the midterms would “hurt” the U.S. economy, a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Monday revealed.

The survey, released roughly two weeks ahead of Election Day, asked respondents, “Do you think Democrats retaining control of Congress after the 2022 midterm elections would improve or hurt the American economy?”

Most, 58.8 percent, said Democrats maintaining control of Congress would “hurt” the economy, compared to 41.1 percent who believe it will “improve” the economy.

Opinions are sharply divided based on party lines, as the vast majority of Democrats, 87.6 percent, believe Democrat victories would “improve” the economy. Republicans strongly disagree. Most, 95.6 percent, said Democrats maintaining control after the 2022 midterm elections would “hurt” the economy, and 66.5 percent of independent voters agree.

The survey, taken October 8-11, 2022, among 1,079 likely general election voters, has a +/- 2.9 percent margin of error.

These findings coincide with the latest poll from the Economist and YouGov, which found 54 percent of American adults expressing the belief that the economy is shrinking.

As Breitbart News detailed:

Among registered voters, the share seeing the economy as shrinking jumped from 44 percent in September to 54 percent in October.

Trump voters are increasingly convinced the economy is shrinking—and so are Biden voters. Trump voters who say the economy is shrinking went from 71 percent in September to 81 percent in October. Biden voters who say the economy is shrinking went from 22 percent to 29 percent.

Inflation continues to soar, as consumer prices surged higher than expected in September, rising 8.2 percent higher than one year ago.

Signs of the Red Wave Approaching

Yes, folks, the red wave is real and coming to your town soon.

I have discussed the types of bias that can occur in political polling in several previous articles, one of which you can read here.  Unfortunately, that bias is still out there.  More on that later.

I have also discussed the hidden conservative vote, now officially recognized by pollsters and referred to as partisan non-response bias.  This means Democrats want to talk to the pollsters, and Republicans don't.

In 2020, polls overestimated Joe Biden's support by roughly 4% nationwide and by an average of 4.3 points at the state level.  The only factor the American Association for Public Research could point to for the polling miss was partisan non-response bias.

What is partisan non-response bias?

Imagine you are a conservative working at a woke corporation or a leftist college.  Or imagine you are a union member or are friends with a group of liberals.  If you admit you are a conservative, you could lose your job, ruin your career, or be shunned or ostracized.

It does not stop there.  Conservatives are banned on social media despite our First Amendment rights.  The FBI is raiding the homes of prominent conservatives, including former president Trump.  And President Biden considers MAGA Republicans to be a threat to democracy.  Under these circumstances, would you admit you favor conservatives in a poll?  Would you even answer a poll?

Since the level of partisan non-response bias can be assessed only after an election is over, how do we make an estimate now?  After all, you don't know what you don't know.

The simplest thing to do is use the 2020 Biden nationwide polling miss of 4%.  It might be higher in red states like Ohio, which has more registered Republicans, and lower in blue states like Colorado.  This is a reasonable assumption until it is clear that pollsters have learned how to account for it.  Right now, I consider 4% low.

There are structural forms of bias in the polls themselves.  Sometimes it is easy to spot.

For example, a poll of likely voters is usually more accurate than a poll of registered voters.  In 2014, pollster Nate Silver, whom I have quoted before, claimed that midterm polls of registered voters are biased toward Democrats by over 2.5%.

Another place I like to look is the Gallup Party Affiliation Poll.  Gallup has been surveying political party affiliation monthly since 2004.  Suppose we average the ten months from December 2021 to September 2022 and add the independent leaners.  In that case, 45.8% of voters are or lean Republican, and 47.5% are or lean Democrat.  This gives Democrats a 1.7% edge.

But keep in mind that partisan non-response bias affects this poll just like the others.  If we account for non-response bias, Republicans should have an advantage.  However, for the sake of argument, let's assume they are tied.  Let's also assume that roughly 1,000 people were polled, though I cannot confirm that.

The sampling error in a poll of 1,000 people is +/- 3%.  This means that the reported numbers for Democrats and Republicans could be off by 3% one way or the other.  If we add 3% to the Democrat number and subtract 3% from the Republican number, Democrats have a 6% advantage.  If we reverse the process, Republicans have a 6% advantage.

Why do we care?  This means any national political poll cannot have more than a 6-point split on party affiliation with either a Democrat or Republican advantage and be considered within the margin of error.  In other words, a poll outside the margin of error could be biased.

The most recent Politico/Morning Consult survey of less accurate registered voters has Republicans with a slight advantage at 37-36.5, without counting leaners.  Surprisingly, independents are 16 points below the Gallup estimate.  Democrat women, at 21%, are the largest segment, while independent women are the smallest, at 12%.

The Economist/YouGov poll of likely voters gave the Democrats a 9-point advantage.

The CNN poll of 800 registered voters is hard to figure because there are no numerical splits, just percentages.  For example, 47% of their respondents voted for Biden vs. 44% for Trump.  Then they claim that the poll contains 24% liberals vs. 34% conservatives.

Now let’s look at the Generic Congressional Vote polls.  Historically, for Democrats and Republicans to have a 50-50 chance of winning the House of Representatives, Democrats would need to have somewhere between a 3.6- and a 5-point lead in the Generic poll average.  Let’s call it 4 points to make calculating easier.  That means that if Democrats and Republicans are tied in the Generic Ballot, Republicans are actually up by 4 points.

The current RCP Generic average gives Republicans a 3.1% edge.  However, if we remove the Economist/YouGov poll from the Generic Ballot average because it has a Democrat bias, the Republican average rises to almost 3.5 points.  If we add this to the 4 points Republicans already have, they should have a reasonably solid 7- to 8-point voter advantage.

Now let's take a quick look at a few other factors.  First, the midterm turnout bias for the party out of power should favor Republicans by 5%.  While this is a valid statistic of a historical trend, it's not something you can count on to estimate Republican strength.

Voter enthusiasm is sometimes hard to gauge because it is often tied to current events.  After the Roe decision, Democrat enthusiasm went up.  After the Mar-a-Lago raid, Republican enthusiasm went up.  According to Rasmussen, Republicans have an 8-point advantage.  According to the Morning Consult Election Tracker, Democrats have a 5-point advantage.  As the Joker said, "Hubba, hubba, hubba, money, money, money, who do you trust?"

The last item I want to discuss is the top concerns of voters.  According to the Harvard/Harris poll, inflation, crime, and immigration were the top three issues.  Abortion was fourth.

According to Statista.com, inflation and the economy were the top issues.  Abortion was in eleventh place.  And according to a CBS News poll, inflation, the economy, and crime were the top three issues.  Abortion was sixth.

My point is, this election is about eggs, butter, gasoline, crime, and fear of the future, not abortion.  With partisan non-response bias at 4%, the generic ballot favoring Republicans by 7–8%, and a favorable advantage in enthusiasm filling our sails, a 12-point red wave is not out of the question.

I'll leave you with this.

Just after the 2020 presidential election, pollster Richard Barris claimed that other polling organizations were responsible for the poor poll results due to their own political bias, saying, "This industry is dominated by left-wingers.  And a big, big problem is they're trying to profile the voting behavior of people they don't understand and may even despise."

Next, the governors.  Then the Senate.

The Democrats’ Bizarro World

In the early 1960s, DC Comics introduced a storyline so fanciful that it piqued my interest: it started with Bizarro Superman, then was fleshed out with his Bizarro World, where every part of life was exactly the opposite of life on earth.  On Bizarro Superman’s world, called Htrae (“earth” spelled backwards), society is ruled by the Bizarro Code, which stated “Us do opposite of all Earthly things!  Us hate beauty!  Us love ugliness!  Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!”  It was a counterfeit world, a bastardization and corruption of every concept, every action, everything on earth.

There were other superheroes on Htrae, too, but instead of high-tech weaponry, Bizarro Batman sported a “futility belt” full of cigarette butts, chewed gum, and other such priceless Bizarro treasures. The Yellow Lantern had a ring that gave him no power; he was vulnerable to anything colored green and was the most easily frightened being in the universe.  Bizarro Aquaman could not swim!  There is even a Bizarro Marilyn Monroe, the ugliest of them all.

Sound familiar?

Is that not what the Democrat Party has created right here in America, transforming a once prosperous, strong, united, and safe nation into a debt-laden, militarily weak, socially divided, and increasingly dangerous society?  Here are some of the Bizarro policies and beliefs inflicted on us by the neo-socialist, globalist, anti-American Democrat Party over the past few decades —

Although leftists and atheists may deny it, the writings of the Founders make clear that the Classical Liberalism upon which this nation was founded stemmed from Judeo-Christian principles.  The self-discipline, respect for law and order, and Protestant work ethic that helped build the U.S. created the most prosperous and militarily mighty nation in history.

But the leftist Democrats can’t have that, for Christian principles block their irresponsible and increasingly perverse demands, so God had to go, leading to the continual erosion of Judeo-Christian principles, plunging our nation into the current chaos.  In 1990, the Pew Research Center found that 90% of young Americans (30 to 34) raised as Christian identified themselves as Christian; today that number has declined to less than 65%.  (Among young Americans not raised as Christian, the number who identify as Christian has declined from 44% in 1990 to 21% today.)

The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution proclaim freedom and rights for the individual, and they implement majority rule, with minority rights protected.  However, Democrats favor a “society of the Squeaky Wheel,” where minority groups based on race, gender, sexual orientation, etc., that squawk the loudest and disrupt society the most set the standards by which government make policy.  So instead of the majority of law-abiding, hard-working citizens who hold to traditional values determining the social mores and standards of our society, the leftist media continually trumpet the “demands” of a mishmash of identity groups: homosexuals, feminists, transgenders, etc., whose “standards” are often diametrically opposed to that of the majority.  The current sexualization of kindergarten and elementary school children is but the latest example of their rejection of the Judeo-Christian standards upon which this nation was founded.

“If you don’t punish the guilty you are, in effect, punishing the innocent,” by unleashing bold thugs and criminals (no longer afraid of punishment) on the rest of society.  Yet for the past several decades the Democrat Party has been consistently more interested in the “rights” of criminals than in protecting the innocent victims of their crimes.

The increasing lawlessness we see all across this nation is a direct result of Democrat DAs refusing to do their jobs, which is to enforce the law.  If they don’t agree with the law, then why did they seek those offices?  To deliberately dismantle our society, because that has been the result.

Another foundation of our democratic republic is free and fair elections.  While money has long been problematic for our electoral process, Americans used to at least be able to count on the candidate receiving the most votes being elected.  No more, thanks to the deliberate efforts of the Democrat Party to gain and hold onto power, whatever it takes.  Long known for their urban political machinery and “voting irregularities” stretching back to the Boss Tweed era in the late 1800s, the media pretends to be shocked at the mere suggestion that their Democrat Party pals would ever stoop to such a thing.

The right to vote is a privilege bordering on the sacred, and as long as there are provisions for people unable to go to the polls on election day (the sick, military personnel serving overseas, etc.), then it should be a point of honor for Americans to get themselves to the polls to vote.  But instead of extremely limited mail-in ballots, distributed only by individual name to eligible voters who request them, in 2020 the Democrats mailed out millions -- that’s right, millions -- of blank ballots in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, et al.

Although it’s clear that such processes will inevitably be abused, the Bizarro Left wants to institutionalize mail-in voting, claiming that restrictions on mail-in ballots violates the rights of (you guessed it) minority groups and “suppresses” their vote.  What rot.  Unless you’re incapacitated (affirmed by medical personnel), or overseas or across the country serving in the military, if you want to vote you go to the polls on election day.  Period.

But the Bizarro Left isn’t satisfied with turning our political system upside down; they have to demolish or deform every traditional standard in order to make the deviant behaviors of their splinter groups seem more normal.  For example, the past few years we’ve been berated for “fat-shaming” overweight people (especially women), and now we’re seeing fat women on the covers of magazines and on TV commercials for underwear.

Sorry, as attractive as some overweight women are, fat has traditionally been seen as indicative of lack of self-discipline and unhealthiness, and not regarded as beautiful by most people.  But the Democrat Party is desperate to placate its myriad splinter groups, so “fat is beautiful!”

Another of those leftist groups the Bizarro Left seeks to keep in its electoral pocket is homosexuals.  If you’ll recall, in the 1990s the homosexual lobby pleaded to “just leave us alone and let us live our lives as we see fit,” certainly a reasonable request.  But in the 2000s the homosexual lobby became more militant, and their message became “We’re here, we’re queer… deal with it!”  The “normalization” of homosexuality (4.5% of population, per Gallup, 2018) has now reached the stage where it’s publicly flaunted, and anyone who dares criticize it (or even fails to celebrate it) is immediately set upon and even cancelled (remember Dr. Joyce Brothers?).

More recently, transgenders (0.6% of U.S. population per Center for Disease Control, 2020) have become the new favored group of the Bizarro Left, resulting in men competing against women in college sports, and most shamefully, in young children being exposed to that lifestyle in our public schools.  When your party offers little to the majority of citizens, it must cater to every identity group imaginable in order to gain and maintain power.

So according to the Bizarro Democrat Party, the perverse is wonderful, the ugly is beautiful, traditional good is oppressive, common sense is racist… and who knows what is next on the Bizarro Democrats’ agenda to totally destroy the foundations and traditions of this nation and all of Western civilization?  And for what?

If the past twenty months are any indication, following this Bizarro path inevitably leads to societal division, economic ruin, and chaos.  If the Democrats aren’t overwhelmingly rejected in next month’s mid-term elections, God help us.

Democrats are just plain dangerous for kids

It's bad enough that Democrats would love to kill your unborn child at taxpayer expense and, if unsuccessful at that, simply amputate its penis and testicles or breasts at a later date and call it "gender-affirming care."

But for kid-hating Dems, that's not nearly enough, no.  Now they want to inject your children — at more risk of mortality and morbidity from riding a school bus or owning a dog than COVID-19 — with the failed and potentially dangerous COVID-19 vaccines.

I call the junk that's been injected into millions of trusting Americans' arms, including mine, a complete failure because a vaccine — by definition — prevents the acquisition and spread of a given disease.  The "Fauci ouchie" does neither.

Dems and their rabid media lapdogs contend that the vaccines they're touting lessen the severity of COVID-19 disease.  That's anecdotal at best, self-serving BS at worst, and even if true, the failed vaccines should then be reclassified as "therapeutics," substances that lessen the severity of a given disease and are totally elective, never mandatory.

As for "potentially dangerous," the COVID vaccines were rushed into service and never properly tested.  If anyone is keeping score of adverse events and deaths caused by these vaccines that don't vaccinate, it's a better kept secret than Barack Obama's college grades.

The Democrat propagandists running the NIH, NIAID, and CDC would prefer you simply ignore numerous reports of young males afflicted with potentially deadly myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccination, as well as women whose menstrual cycles have been affected after receiving the failed vaccine.  Nothing to see here, folks, the government fat cats purr while patting their wallets, move along!

So now, despite the fact that children are at less risk from COVID-19 than from walking down the stairs to breakfast, the CDC is nevertheless recommending that we inject them with an inadequately tested vaccine that doesn't vaccinate and may damage their hearts or reproductive systems, at what frequency we don't know.

Any normal, remotely rational person reading that (which leaves out Crusty Joe) should ask himself: why would Big Pharma, the Democrat powers that be, and their vile media henchmen do such a dangerous and unnecessary thing to the most innocent and defenseless among us?

For love.

Love of money (see net worth, A. Fauci and 2021 profits, Pfizer and Moderna).

Love of power (see lockdowns, Democrat-run and sketchy voting schemes, pandemic-related).

Love of self.  Remember, Democrats are the party that promotes and reveres the killing of unborn babies deemed inconvenient to their parents.  God forbid a child gets an innocuous case of the Wuhan Flu and then passes it on to you.  Talk about inconvenient!  Besides, what's a little potential toxin unnecessarily injected into kids in a world where it's perfectly OK to rip them limb by limb from their mother's wombs?  By comparison, a trifle.

Of course, the Democrats who tell us that things "depend on what the meaning of 'is' is" will protest that the white coat supremacists at the CDC are merely making a "recommendation."  A suggestion, if you will.

Sure, a suggestion that will quickly become a mandate in many states in order for kids to attend school.  Mandates that will surely damage the hearts and reproductive systems of innocent children, even as liberal educators poison their minds with Critical Race Theory, America-bashing, and the absurd notion of 12,872 genders (at last count).

When I try to wrap my mind around the heinous and unconscionable treatment of U.S. children, both born and unborn, currently in vogue, I find I keep returning to the same question.

Why do Democrats hate children so?

Biden’s 2022 Illegal Migration Delivers 7 Migrants for Every 10 U.S. Births

President Joe Biden’s deputies welcomed 1.66 million economic migrants across the U.S. southern border in 2022, according to data revealed late Friday by the Department of Homeland Security.

Even though the migrants entered illegally, Biden’s deputies are using a variety of legal pretexts — under Title 8 of U.S. law — to release the migrants so they can work to pay off their smuggling debts to banks and loan sharks.

The huge inflow aids investors and employers by cutting Americans’ wages and by boosting housing prices.

The 1.66 million economic migrants welcomed in 2022 are just part of the massive 2022 inflow.

An additional 500,000 unreported migrants sneaked across the border, according to official counts leaked to Breitbart News and other outlets.

The 500,000 additional illegal migrants pushed the total cross-border inflow to roughly 2.5 million in Biden’s second fiscal year, which started on October 1, 2021, and ended on September 30.

Overall, Biden’s illegal border flood delivered seven migrants for every 10 Americans born in 2022.

In addition, Biden and his deputies delivered six migrants for every 10 Americans who turned 18 in 2022.

“We have witnessed the devastating harm wrought by a rogue administration that is asserting near-dictatorial powers in a relentless effort to keep our borders open,” said a statement from R.J. Hauman, the government relations director at the Federation for American Immigration Reform. He continued:

In that time, the Biden administration has blamed the unprecedented surge of illegal immigration on all sorts of external factors – except their own purposeful sabotage of our nation’s immigration laws. The endless flow of illegal immigrants and the incursion of lethal narcotics pouring across our border will not end until this administration demonstrates a willingness to secure the border and enforce the law. Sadly, these record-breaking numbers are unlikely to resonate with them, because what’s happening is all by design.

[Border] Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas clearly hid these border numbers on behalf of President Biden and the Democratic Party for political purposes, which is why he released them late on a Friday night. How can anyone vote for a party that puts politics first and America last?

The mass inflow of migrants has helped to push up rents for Americans, including Julia Mallman, a single, childless, 42-year-old kindergarten teacher in Fairfax, Virginia. Her monthly rent jumped by 25 percent as Joe Biden’s migrants rented spaces in her apartment complex, she told the Washington Post on October 20:

“So many emotions when I saw that,” Mallman said. “I was furious. And disappointed. And demoralized.”

She got a post-pandemic gut punch that is hitting renters across the nation this year. After landlords largely suspended rent hikes and federal assistance came during shutdowns, renters are now paying a steep price for that brief clemency. Nationwide, rents are up 11.3 percent this year, according to the real-estate-research firm CoStar Group. In some parts, like in Mallman’s working-class complex, the penalty … is weighing in at 25 percent.

“Who can afford this?” she asked, showing me the contract she decided to sign after all, on the day it was due. “The prices are pretty much the same everywhere I look.”

The Biden administration in 2022 has allowed into the country roughly six times as many people as in 2020 under President Donald Trump.

Biden’s official estimate of the 2022 inflow included 190,000 Venezuelans and 220,000 Cubans, versus 14,000 for both nations in 2020.

This picture taken on October 9, 2022 shows migrants being processed by US Border Patrol after they illegally crossed the US southern border with Mexico in Eagle Pass, Texas. - In the 2022 fiscal year US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) has had over 2 million encounters with migrants at the US-Mexico border, setting a new record in CBP history. The DHS’s 1.66 million count excludes migrants who were registered at the border but were sent back to Mexico or flown home. The number of rejected migrants was not released, but it is far less than 1 million, since many migrants are counted multiple times as they repeatedly try to sneak across the border.

But Biden and his deputies also welcomed many other migrants, including disaster migrants, legal immigrants, visa workers, “student” workers, and people who illegally work while pretending to be tourists. For example, Biden’s deputies legalized almost 150,000 migrants fleeing disasters in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cameroon, and other countries during fiscal 2022.

Those legal inflows add at least 1.1 million migrants.

If the legal inflow is added to the border illegals, then Biden’s deputies imported 3.6 million migrants in 2022 — or 1 foreigner for every American born in 2022.

The 2022 inflow is double the 885,000 illegals invited across the border in 2021.

Extraction Migration

It is easier for government officials to grow the economy by immigration than by growing exports, productivity, or the birth rate.

So Washington, D.C., deliberately extracts millions of migrants from poor countries and uses them as extra workers, consumers, and renters.

This extraction migration policy both grows and skews the national economy.

It prevents tight labor markets and so it shifts vast wealth from ordinary people to investorsbillionaires, and Wall Street. It makes it difficult for ordinary Americans to advance in their careers, get married, raise families, buy homes, or gain wealth.

Extraction migration slows innovation and shrinks Americans’ productivity. This happens because migration allows employers to boost stock prices by using stoop labor and disposable workers instead of the skilled American professionals and productivity-boosting technology that earlier allowed Americans and their communities to earn more money.

This migration policy also reduces exports because it minimizes shareholder pressure on C-suite executives to take a career risk by trying to grow exports to poor countries.

Migration undermines employees’ workplace rights, and it widens the regional economic gaps between the Democrats’ cheap-labor coastal states and the Republicans’ heartland and southern states.

An economy fueled by extraction migration also drains Americans’ political clout over elites and it alienates young people. It radicalizes Americans’ democratic civic culture because it gives a moral excuse for wealthy elites and progressives to ignore despairing Americans at the bottom of society, such as drug addicts.

This diversify-and-rule investor strategy is enthusiastically pushed by progressives. Similarly, establishment Republicans, media businesses, and major GOP donors hide the skew towards investors by ignoring the pocketbook impact and by touting border chaos, welfare spending, migrant crime, and drug smuggling.

Many polls show the public wants to welcome some immigration. But the polls also show deep and broad public opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into the jobs needed by the families of blue-collar and white-collar Americans.

Job Creators Network Times Square Billboard Blasts Ice Cream Licking Joe Biden: ‘HERE’S THE SCOOP: Bidenflation Is a Recipe for Disaster’

The Job Creators Network has lambasted President Joe Biden with another massive Times Square billboard, this time thousands of onlookers can see the low polling president licking ice cream next to figures showing the family grocery budget-busting hike in prices for eggs, milk, and sugar.

“HERE’S THE SCOOP: Bidenflation is a recipe for disaster,” the billboard says. “C’mon Joe, the numbers don’t lie.”

With just three weeks ahead of the midterm elections, the billboard highlights the two top issues weighing on voters’ minds: inflation and the economy.

Last week, a Politico/Morning Consult poll found a whopping ninety-three percent of registered voters said soaring inflation and the lackluster economy are major concerns.

“The Biden administration is delusional when it comes to the economy. For him to claim the US economy is ‘strong as hell’ is a slap in the face to every family struggling to keep food on the table while inflation eats up an increasing amount of their income,” said Alfredo Ortiz, JCN President and CEO.

“I’m sure the small business owner who scooped that ice-cream cone could have given him an earful about their struggles with supply chains and inflation. Bidenflation is giving this economy a painful ice cream headache.”

WaPo’s Marcus: ‘Very Hard’ for Dems to Have ‘Coherent’ Message on Economy, No One Buys Dems Bragging about Jobs or Wages

1:19

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” Washington Post Associate Editor and columnist Ruth Marcus stated that the high level of inflation makes it “very hard for Democrats to have a coherent narrative” and no one buys Democrats saying they acknowledge inflation is a problem while also bragging about job creation and saying that “your wages are close to keeping pace with inflation.”

Marcus stated, “Well, on the economic point, which is really important, it’s very hard for Democrats to have a coherent narrative on the economy when they’re facing the inflation that they’re facing and the threat of a recession. And you can see it in the way they talk about it, we understand that prices are high, we’re not — so — but you can’t then say, well, but I’ve created 10 million jobs, and, really, your wages are close to keeping pace with inflation. Nobody’s going to buy that. But it’s also true that that leaves them without being able to run on the economy, whether it’s fair or not, because largely inflation is outside the president’s control and his party’s control, though he may have some pieces to blame on some of the spending that he did.”

Exclusive: Surging Republican Blake Masters: ‘Momentum’ over Biden Agenda ‘Puppet’ Mark Kelly Undeniable

Arizona’s republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Blake Masters, appeared on Breitbart News Saturday and told host Matthew Boyle that the momentum behind his campaign against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is “undeniable” as election day rapidly approaches.

Masters, endorsed by former President Donald J. Trump, is surging in the polls against Kelly in one of the most competitive races in this year’s midterm elections.

“The momentum here on the ground is undeniable, and I’m not surprised to see that reflected in the polls,” said Masters. “You know, we’ve got the winning message. Mark Kelly’s got nothing but lies to run on; he’s got to lie about me with vicious attack ads that are fake, and he’s got to lie about his own record. All of a sudden, he’s pretending to be a center-right Republican; well, no, that’s Campaign Kelly. D.C. Mark Kelly votes in lockstep for Joe Biden’s failed agenda.”

“We in Arizona bear the brunt of the border crisis; we bear the brunt of the inflation crisis — I know inflation is bad everywhere, but it’s the worst in the country in Maricopa County in the greater Phoenix metro,” he added. “So I’m getting out there every day and hammering Mark Kelly — not attacking his character, maybe he’s a nice guy — but his voting record. His voting record is far left, to the left of Bernie Sanders.”

“He is directly responsible for a wide open border and our crushing inflation, and so when we let voters know that, they want to make a change; they want to send Joe Biden packing,” he said. “They’re tired of this failed administration, and when we get out there, and we tell people, ‘Hey, I’m the change, I’ll actually work for you, work for Arizona families,’ well then they’re going to vote Republican in droves. We’re starting to see everybody come online and come awake right now, and we’re just going to — I think we’ve caught Mark Kelly — soon we’re gonna pass him and never look back.”

LISTEN:

While the Democrat presents himself as a moderate, FiveThirtyEight noted that he has voted in line with the Biden administration 94 percent of the time. Masters dubbed Kelly “a puppet for Joe Biden’s failed agenda,” who Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) “owns” and contrasted his opponent with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who has bucked Democrats on key Biden agenda legislation.

“Look, I think Sinema is too left wing, I’d rather have two conservative Republicans in Arizona, but if you have to have a Democrat, you want it to be Sinema because she’s shown some independence, and I respect that,” Masters explained. “She knows how to tell Schumer to go pound sand: on Build Back Better; she protected the filibuster. Mark Kelly, you never have to wonder which way he’s going to vote because he’ll do whatever Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer tell him to.”

“Literally, he’s voted in lockstep for Biden’s trillion-plus spending agenda that caused this inflation,” Masters added. “He’s voted for Biden’s insane America last energy policies; they’ve surrendered our energy independence. They took gas from $2 to $6. And he’s voted in lockstep for Biden’s open borders policies, which are hurting families, killing kids with this fentanyl in Arizona. So Mark Kelly is a rubber stamp vote for the most left wing, dysfunctional agenda that we’ve seen in recent American history.”

Boyle highlighted a debate between the candidates earlier this month, where Masters torched Kelly for voting against hiring 18,000 more border patrol agents but for 87,000 more IRS agents in the inflation Reduction Act boondoggle. Contrary to its name, the spending bonanza does not actually reduce inflation. Masters said he enjoyed putting Kelly “on the ropes.”

“You know, I don’t know if that was his best or if he just was lazy and didn’t prepare. Either way, I thought he was in poor form, but you know, again, he had to lie,” said Masters. “He’s got to get up there and defend some indefensible, left-wing voting record. All I had to do was tell the truth. And so they asked him about inflation, and he says, ‘blah, blah, blah, well, the greedy corporations are price gouging,’ made no sense at all. So then I went through, and I said, ‘No, here’s how they caused inflation, it’s so dishonest. They surrendered our energy independence, and they printed trillions of dollars that caused inflation; then they gave us the Inflation Reduction Act, which is a $700 billion tax and spending bill. It’s not going to reduce inflation. … On the contrary, it’s a downpayment on the Green New Deal.'”

“But then you’re right, Matt, the cherry on top for the Democrats in the Inflation Reduction Act was 87,000 IRS agents, but to vote for those 87,000 new IRS agents, Mark Kelly first had to reject an amendment that doubled the size of our border patrol,” Masters continued. “He said no to hiring 18,000 new border patrol agents, who we badly need … but yes to 87,000 new IRS agents. And so I just wasn’t going to let him sit there on stage and get away with lying to people. He could do that on a TV commercial, I’m not there to fight back, but he can’t do it one-on-one live on stage.”

By failures of border security, a lack of the enforcement of our immigration laws from within  the interior of the United States and huge numbers of visas for high tech workers, the lives and livelihoods of Americans and their children, are being stolen by America’s corrupt political elite who are doing the bidding of those who provide them with huge “Campaign Contributions” (Orwellian euphemism for bribes) pursue legislation that is diametrically opposed to the best interests of America and Americans.

Biden: ‘A Lot of What We’ve Done’ on Economy ‘Has Not Kicked in Yet’ — ‘I’m Not Sure about’ Polls Showing Voters Favor GOP on Economy

1:45

During an interview with MSNBC on Friday, President Joe Biden responded to polling data showing people trust Republicans on the economy by stating he’s not sure how accurate polls are and “a lot of what we’ve done and we’ve passed has not kicked in yet.”

Host Jonathan Capehart asked, “[H]ere’s a problem, I think, for you and Democrats, despite all the good economic news, low unemployment, record job creation, wage increases, Social Security cost of living adjustment to 8.7%, the highest in 40 years. And yet, poll after poll shows that the American people trust Republicans on the economy and think that Republicans should control Congress. How do you break through that?”

Biden answered, “I’m not sure about the polls. Because the way people conduct polls today, it’s hard. 90% of it is you get on the telephone where you have to call seven times to get somebody to answer the phone, number one. Number two, a lot of what we’ve done and we’ve passed has not kicked in yet. For example, we have all this money to rebuild the highways, bridges, Internet, etc., but it’s going to take time. It’s not all happening overnight. It’s not like we passed a law and all of a sudden the highways and bridges are all functioning. And it’s not like we’re in a position where we’re saying no senior — which we do — is going to have to pay more than $2,000 a year for their drug costs…it hasn’t kicked in yet. It doesn’t kick in until next year.”

Dem Rep. Lawrence: Inflation Is ‘the Sole Issue’ Republicans Can Talk about — We’ve Done Things ‘to Keep the Housing Market Open’

1:40

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Velshi,” Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI) stated that inflation is “important” but it’s “interesting, with everything else that’s going on in the world, that is the sole issue that the Republicans” can talk about.

Lawrence stated that there are “other countries that are going through a global epidemic when it comes to our economy. And we have done so many things in this administration to create jobs, to keep the housing market open, which we know jobs in manufacturing and housing are some of those key things that stimulate our economy. This is a very uncomfortable time right now for anyone because when you — everyone needs to go get gas and we’re constantly reminded that inflation is happening. And we in Michigan have a very clear history of how, when the economy doesn’t work, when manufacturing stops how we lose jobs. We went through the housing crisis, one of the worst. And so, it is important to us. But isn’t it interesting, with everything else that’s going on in the world, that is the sole issue that the Republicans can rest on? And as we fight for democracy, bringing back voting rights, making it safe and accessible, when we talk about rights for women to choose, when we talk about education and the crisis that student debt is putting on our economy, lawsuits are filed. But that’s their single issue, and you can say what you want about a Republican, but they get — they know how to market their agenda.”

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A GREATER DISASTER TO AMERICA THAN

JOE BIDEN!

Joe Biden Welcomes Foreign Population at Southern Border Greater than 15 States

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) welcomed a foreign population at the United States-Mexico border in fiscal year 2022 that exceeds the populations of 15 states.

As Breitbart News reported, Biden’s DHS has overseen the largest inflow of illegal immigration in a single fiscal year with more than 2.2 million border crossers and illegal aliens having arrived at the southern border from October 1, 2021, to September 20, 2022.

“We have simply never seen these numbers before in our history, and the Biden open-borders policies are the reason,” former Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Chief Mark Morgan, a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation, said in a statement.

“As bad as it has gotten, things will only get worse, and I fear what major catastrophe could come next,” Morgan continued.

The record-breaking level of illegal immigration indicates that in fiscal year 2022, Biden’s DHS welcomed a foreign population to the U.S. that exceeds the resident populations of Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, Hawaii, West Virginia, Idaho, Nebraska, and New Mexico.

“The time for excuses is over—the next Congress needs to take actual steps to hold this administration accountable for the chaos and carnage they have unleashed on our southwest border,” former Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan, also a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation, said:

This is a shameful episode in our history, and the ones who are suffering are not the elites in their gated and secured Beltway communities. It’s the Border Patrol agents being overwhelmed on a daily basis. It’s the families who have been ripped apart losing a loved one to fentanyl or other drugs. And it’s the migrants themselves, who are worthless to the cartels once they’ve been paid. The next Congress better do something about it. [Emphasis added]

As quickly as border crossers and illegal aliens have been arriving at the southern border, Biden’s DHS has been just as quickly releasing most of them into American communities.

From February 2021 to August 2022, for example, the Biden administration released about 1.35 million border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior — a foreign population roughly three times the size of Miami, Florida.

A set of promises made by House Republican leadership vows to continue building border wall along the southern border while ending the administration’s massive Catch and Release network and mandating E-Verify nationwide to eliminate the job magnet for future border crossers.

President Joe Biden’s advisers have granted temporary legal status to roughly 30,000 Ethiopians now living in the United States.

The award of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) was announced Friday as Ethiopia’s government continues a disastrous war against a non-Ethiopian ethnic group in the Tigray region of the country.

“The United States recognizes the ongoing armed conflict and the extraordinary and temporary conditions engulfing Ethiopia, and DHS is committed to providing temporary protection [for 18 months] to those in need,” said a statement from Alejandro Mayorkas, the pro-migration secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The statement added:

Ethiopian nationals currently residing in the U.S. who cannot safely return due to conflict-related violence and a humanitarian crisis involving severe food shortages, flooding, drought, and displacement, will be able to remain and work in the United States until conditions in their home country improve.

The protection will help 30,000 Ethiopians, according to a September 30 letter sent to Mayorkas by a variety of pro-migration groups, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association. The letter said:

The current crisis in Ethiopia … has been marked by violence against civilians in conflict, ethnic cleansing, destruction of public infrastructure, including health care facilities and schools, arbitrary arrests, torture, sexual and [sex]-based violence as a weapon of war, and weaponization of food, medicine, and fuel …

Throughout 2021 and 2022, at least six million people across the Amhara, Tigray, and Afar regions have been cut off from access to adequate food, health care, fuel, banking services, communications with the outside world, and other basic needs.

The TPS program has been abused by several presidents to quietly import and keep many foreign workers, renters, and consumers in the United States.

This TPS program policy is just one element of the federal Extraction Migration economic strategy. That strategy aids investors by cutting Americans’ wages and by boosting housing prices. It also pushes up inflation for a wide variety of goods, such as used autos and food.

The TPS program already keeps roughly 500,000 foreigners in the United States, including some who arrived as illegals in the 1980s and 1990s. The migrants were first given TPS when their home nations were hit by disastrous volcano eruptions, floods, famines, or wars.

The 500,000 number does not include the TPS grantees who have already won green cards, nor does it include their U.S.-born children.

President Donald Trump did not extend some of the TPS grants that had been repeatedly extended by prior presidents. The extensions were often granted long after the original disasters had been overcome. But Trump was stopped by lawsuits and Biden’s election.

Since January 2021, Biden has welcomed roughly four million illegal migrants, visa workers, and legal immigrants. He has also imported many additional people from Venezuela, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, and has approved multiple additional TPS designations for Venezuelans, Haitians, and Cameroonians, for example.

The large population helps to push down wages and boost housing costs for Americans — and also to push Americans out of the labor market.

Extraction Migration

It is easier for government officials to grow the economy by immigration than by growing exports, productivity, or the birth rate.

So Washington, DC, deliberately extracts millions of migrants from poor countries and uses them as extra workers, consumers, and renters.

They wish to transform the U.S. from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into an economic empire of jealous identity groups overseen by progressive hall-monitors. “We’re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,” Rep. Kamala lies in TV interview, claims she didn’t support fund to bail out George Floyd rioters in Minnesota… and it gets worse

Kamala Harris has just scored a hat trick of buffoonery. While we are accustomed to her embarrassing herself virtually every time she speaks extemporaneously, her verbal tomfoolery may be keeping pace with the accelerating dementia of her boss, Joe Biden.

We’ll start with an outright lie, committed during an interview with Esme Murphy  of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. (Powerline readers are familiar with Ms. Murphy’s awkward relationship with the truth.)

The Vice President of the United States called claims that she supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund, established to bail out rioters arrested during the first round of arson and looting following the death in police custody of career criminal George Floyd, "misinformation":

This is an easily proven lie:

Evidently, Kamala knows that she lies, and noted in a separate appearance, “The thing about being a role model: people watch what you do to see if it matches what you say.’

Absurdity travels with the veep wherever she goes, and along with her (subconscious?) understanding that she lies and people notice it, she seems to realize that her boss is himself a parody of real president, dissolving into laughter as she mentions “The President of the United States.”  No kidding. The woman understands that he is a joke, and she can’t keep a straight face or her composure when talking about him.

A Minnesota bail fund championed by Vice President Kamala Harris helped free a repeat felon now charged with murder.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund on Thursday acknowledged it helped secure the release of Shawn Michael Tillman, who in May shot and killed a passenger on a rail platform in St. Paul. Harris promoted the Freedom Fund on Twitter during the George Floyd riots in 2020, helping the group raise $35 million in a matter of weeks, according to the Washington Post.

Freedom Fund executive directors Mirella Ceja-Orozco and Elizer Darris defended the group's decision to post Tillman's bail in a statement Thursday, saying, "It is neither just nor effective to respond to violence by denying bail and preemptively punishing people who are disproportionately poor, Black, brown, and Indigenous."

Tillman's criminal record includes multiple counts of indecent exposure, as well as assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, court records show. He is now in custody with bail set at $2 million.

When reached for comment, the Freedom Fund directed the Washington Free Beacon to its statement.

Tillman's most recent felony conviction was in November 2018 for indecent exposure in the presence of a minor. He had seven prior counts of indecent exposure at the time. Ceja-Orozco and Darris said convictions play into their decision to fund those charged with crimes. They did not list any of Tillman's past convictions.

Tillman is not the first person to commit murder after being bailed out by the Freedom Fund. The group helped free a man charged with domestic abuse last year. Weeks later, he murdered another man in a road rage incident, the Free Beacon reported.

The group also shelled out $75,000 in cash to release Jaleel Stallings, who was charged in May 2020 with attempted murder after shooting at police during the Floyd riots.

Minneapolis saw the highest number of homicides last year since the mid-1990s.

End of the Line for Black Lives Matter?

By Civis Americanus

Candace Owens isn't Black Lives Matter's biggest problem this month; its own website and social media posts are. These are not exactly new revelations because the information has been online for years but, when American Thinker readers help take it viral, it's the end of the world for this race hustling anti-Semitic fraud, and egg on the face of every organization and political figure that has gotten behind it. These could claim reasonably, at least until now, that they didn't know, but now they no longer have this excuse. They need to get clear of this impending public relations catastrophe immediately if not sooner.

reported recently that BLM's co-founder Patrisse Cullors put her name and BLM's behind convicted terrorist murderer Rasmea Odeh, and convicted cop killer Assata Shakur, aka Joanne Chesimard. As Cullors was in fact BLM's de facto leader when she did this, that's enough to associate the entire organization with these statements along with support for the anti-Semitic boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement. I looked further down that rabbit hole over the weekend to find, however, that it's not just Cullors. It's the entire organization.

Here is a YouTube video of not just Cullors, but also her fellow BLM co-founders Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi discussing the “Assata chant.”

“This is how we close out every meeting, every event, every action, every freeway we’ve shut down, every mall we’ve shut down, …this is from our beloved Assata Shakur… she's a powerful leader who we are inspired by.”

That's not just one BLM leader, or even just all three BLM leaders. Every BLM meeting, every BLM event, and every criminal obstruction of highways and shopping malls uses a quote from this convicted killer of a New Jersey State Trooper.

Ambush killings of law enforcement professionals are increasing along with anti-Semitic hate speech and hate crimes, and it's reasonable to believe that glorification of Assata Shakur and Rasmea Odeh is at least partly responsible for both.

Not only did all three BLM leaders endorse Assata Shakur, thus placing the organization squarely behind a convicted cop killer, BLM's official Web site removes all ambiguity. "In the words of Mama Assata Shakur: 'We must love and protect one another.'" They could have quoted somebody else, and Martin Luther King comes to mind. Why is a cop killer, as opposed to a universally respected civil rights activist, their role model?

BLM Supporters, It's Time to Get Clear of the Impending Train Wreck

I also reported that the Democratic National Committee appears to have removed "Black Lives Matter Organizing Resources" from its website, possibly in light of all the questions about the organization's finances that came up earlier this year. Lest we forget, however, the Washington Post reported in 2020, "Democratic convention embraces Black Lives Matter."

The Massachusetts Democrat party appears to have not gotten the word, yet noting its promotion of "View the Healing Justice and Action Toolkits from Black Lives Matter here." I viewed it and it includes the line, "How do we scaffold and support our well-being through direct action and confrontation?"

Some forms of direct action like strikes and sit-ins, the latter in places where one has a right to be, are lawful but others such as obstructing highways and shutting down shopping malls (as stipulated by BLM's leaders) are unlawful and infringe on the rights of others. Maybe the Massachusetts Democrats should have asked BLM what it means by "direct action" before putting their names behind it.

The same goes for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, whose official webpage not only supports Black Lives Matter but also implies that Michael Brown, who did not have his hands up, was killed without justification as opposed to being shot in self-defense when he more likely than not tried to take an officer's sidearm and turn it against him.

When not only BLM but also prominent Democrats support cop killers (Chesimard) and would-be cop killers (Hakim Littleton beyond a reasonable doubt, and Michael Brown more likely than not), it's no surprise that violent felons are killing police for sport, e.g. by luring them into ambushes with 911 calls, rather than for traditional criminal motives such as robbery and dealing drugs. "Tarrant County Democratic Party Stands with Black Lives Matter" also names Michael Brown as a victim, so it seems that quite a few Democratic political figures have yet to get the word that BLM is spoiled goods.

Do Rasmea Odeh's Supporters Condone the Murder of Jews?

"UC-Berkeley anti-Israel activists rip up photo of Rasmea Odeh's terror victims," goes, as I see it, even further than mere disagreement with the policies of Israel or even anti-Semitic denial of Israel's right to exist. When you tear up the victims' pictures, you're telling me that their Jewish lives do not matter and that you are OK with their murders. That is what I infer from this behavior and I believe this inference to be reasonable.

Even if we assume for the sake of argument that Odeh didn't do it—and the U.S. and Israeli justice systems both believe she did—somebody murdered the two men in question, and he or she used a bomb to do it. The same individual planted a second bomb to murder emergency responders but the Israelis, who are quite used to this behavior from Palestinian terrorists, disarmed it. When you tear up the victims' pictures, you come across as condoning what happened.

The same reference hosts a YouTube video in which Jewish Voice for Peace welcomes Rasmea Odeh. The Anti-Defamation League lists Students for Justice in Palestine and Bears for Palestine as additional Odeh supporters. Here, by the way, is a video of some of these Berkeley students in action.  Tell me again why the noncitizens among them were allowed into our country at all, and given valuable places in a university that could have been filled instead by (as just three examples) Ukrainians, Hong Kong Chinese, or Afghan refugees from the Taliban, all of whom would value our country's freedoms and opportunities, follow its rules, and quite likely make excellent citizens.

Take this information viral to make this the end of the line for Black Lives Matter as an even marginally credible organization, and send JVP, SJP, and Bears for Palestine straight to Hell with them.

The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM

Every adult American should watch Candace Owens' new documentary.

October 19, 2022 by Danusha V. Goska 17 Comments

Candace Owens’ October, 2022, 80-minute documentary, The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLMa Daily Wire production, is an agonizing watch. Beginning in spring, 2020, destructive and deadly riots broke out across the United States. These riots self-advertised as being all about a “racial reckoning.”

If you were a leftist living in a comfortable suburb far from the arson, looting, and public torture, you could look on and cheer the apparent downfall of the country and the value system you benefit from, and that you irrationally and hypocritically hate. If you were, like me and millions of others, living in a majority-minority, low-income city already burdened with high murder rates, 2020’s riots felt like a terrifying, demoralizing death spiral. We never knew when our homes would burn, when our grocers would be looted and permanently closed, when our fragile economies of immigrant-run mom-and-pop shops would be cut off at the knees, when our banks would shrug, give up, and leave town, when our cars would be incinerated, when our property values, already low, would plummet, when our black and Latino police officers would be shot dead, and when we would be the bystanders whose random death would add to the body count. In addition to those killed in the riots, 2,457 more black Americans were murdered in 2020 than in 2019, “marking the largest single-year increase in killings since the agency began tracking the crimes.” Anti-policing policies and attitudes and increasing lawlessness are to blame for these deaths and thousands more, research has shown.

Money is less of a concern for rich leftists than it is for those of us who are living on the edge. The poor know that poverty can be a death sentence. As we watched looters empty stores, especially stores in neighborhoods like ours, majority minority, economically weak urban enclaves, we knew: everything is about to start costing a lot more. Someone has to pay for the CVS, the Walgreens, and Walmarts being emptied out. The looters aren’t paying, so we will. The over-the-counter medications we rely on for chronic illnesses, drugs not covered by insurance, will take income away from our food budgets. Insurance rates will skyrocket, as will inflation. The little money we have will be worth less.

No, if you were a comfortable leftist living in a safe suburb you didn’t have to confront the consequences of your support for BLM. I just had a quick look at the pages of Facebook friends who posted wall-to-wall BLM support during 2020’s riots. One is now posting updates on the performance of her thoroughbred horses in various show competitions. One, who sobbed over the death of Queen Elizabeth, is now visiting Buckingham Palace. One has gone back to posting her scores in online word games. Another posts stunning photos of her expansive gardens. Their BLM passion was as short-lived as it was shallow.

Clearly, rich leftists have moved on to the next fad. We in blighted urban neighborhoods will never move on. Riots scar a city for generations. Capital, jobs, and safety depart and move to greener pastures. Newark has yet to recover from the riots of the 1960s. One estimate of the total cost of the George Floyd riots is $2 billion. That number is too low, for a few reasons. The Foundation for Economic Education explains. “Seventy-five percent of US businesses are under-insured and about forty percent of small businesses have no insurance at all. Their untold millions in losses don’t show up in the $2 billion figure …  riots leave a lasting shadow on a city that haunts its economy for decades. The afflicted areas face higher insurance rates, lower property values, higher prices, reduced tax revenue, and decreased economic opportunity.” Finally, the damage done to human bodies and souls is not factored in to the $2 billion tab. An elderly man attempted to defend a property. Rioters broke his jaw. His pain and suffering, and subsequent sense of isolation and insecurity, and that of thousands of others, inevitably produces an economic drag, one it is difficult to estimate, but is no less real.

And all for nothing. Every last looting spree, every last rock thrown at the head of a beaten, bleeding white man lying helplessly in the street, every defaced synagogue, every not just ignorant but insane tearing down of a statue of a martyr to abolition like Hans Christian Heg or Abraham Lincoln, was for absolutely nothing. As Heather MacDonaldRoland G. FryerJohn McWhorter and others struggled to communicate, America is not racist, and there is no statistical support for the claim that there is an epidemic of white cops shooting unarmed black men to death for no reason. Officer Derek Chauvin was arrested four days after the death of George Floyd. He was rapidly charged, convicted, and imprisoned. In mainstream and social media, Chauvin was universally condemned, by both the left and the right. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, beloved by police officers, famous as a tough-on-crime icon, roundly and repeatedly condemned Chauvin on his WABC radio show.

Owens’ The Greatest Lie Ever Sold adds to the agony with simple truths. I want every American to watch this documentary, even though I know that watching it may well hurt.

The film opens with a quote from Malcolm X. “The Media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and the make the guilty innocent.” I differ from Owens on this point. The media includes Candace Owens, and the media includes this review. The media is vast and consumers can select what media they support.

Next we see video of Floyd purchasing cigarettes with a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. The employees in the store are clearly minorities themselves. Cup foods employee Mike Abumayyaleh explains that they only call the police if the person using a counterfeit bill refuses to pay with other tender. George Floyd, apparently, when confronted, refused to pay with a real bill. In his refusal to use real money, even when confronted, Floyd made one of many choices that preceded his death. Officer Thomas Lane’s bodycam shows Floyd in a car with his drug dealer, not cooperating with the police. A caption reports that he resisted being placed in a squad car for eight minutes. Derek Chauvin was called in as backup. Had Floyd not resisted arrest, Derek Chauvin would never have been on the scene.

The film cuts to Candace Owens’ June 3 video. Owens, a black woman, rejected worldwide hysteria turning George Floyd into a Messianic figure. “I do not support George Floyd and the media depiction of him as a martyr for black America.” She cited Shelby Steele, paraphrasing him as saying that blacks are unique in that they “cater to the bottom denominator in our society.” Jews, whites, and Latinos, she said, would not hold up a felon as a culture hero. Owens made clear that she was not defending Derek Chauvin and she hoped to see Chauvin receive appropriate justice. She said also that the family of George Floyd deserves justice for the “way that he died.” “But I’m not going to accept the narrative that this is the best that the black community has to offer.’ “It has become fashionable for us to turn criminals into heroes.” “The only way you can be black is to say that this person was amazing. I’m not going to do that. George Floyd was not amazing.” “Everyone agrees that the police officer was wrong and the police officer has been arrested. That’s not something that has been misconstrued in the media.” Any black person who does not go along with the celebration of criminals is labeled a “coon.” Condoleezza Rice, Dr. Ben Carson, Larry Elder are all, in this understanding, “coons,” because they are educated high achievers.

Any fair minded person watching Owens’ June 3 video immediately realizes two things. The first thing a fair-minded person realizes is that Candace Owens is a straight-shooter and a person of depth and conscience. She is struggling to be as fair as possible in a very difficult situation. She never says that Floyd deserved to die as he did; she says quite the opposite. She never defends Chauvin; she says he deserves “justice.” No matter how hard Owens works to state a simple truth – she does not believe that black people benefit from making criminals their heroes – the viewer knows that Candace Owens will be vilified, threatened, and damned for what she had the courage and decency to say.

Dave Chappelle exhibited his signature cruelty, bullying, cowardice, misogyny, and, most important, his complete dishonesty. “Candace Owens tried to convince white America, ‘Don’t worry about it. He’s a criminal anyway.'” Chappelle is lying. Candace Owens said no such thing, and she clearly wasn’t talking to “white America.”  In his pot-and-tobacco ruined voice, his eyes bugging out of his bald head, Chapelle gurgled out that Candace Owens is a “rotten bitch” and he mentioned kicking Owens in her “stinky pussy.”

Owens said that such attacks made everything “personal” for her. “I am going to scream the truth” more loudly than others “can scream the lies.” Candace Owens has more courage and integrity in her little finger than Dave Chappelle has in his six foot frame.

Owens visits George Floyd’s housemates, Alvin Manago and Theresa Scott. Their previously shared home looks lovely; his roommates, a man and a woman, come across as nice people. Both are kind and respectful in their comments about Floyd. They acknowledge that Floyd was an addict, but say that he kept that out of the house. The man they knew was a valued friend, they insist.

Manago says that at memorials people would circulate metal boxes and ask for money. “I don’t know who you are or where this is going.” Clips show the Floyd family acknowledging trips to the White House and crying. The documentary reports that none of them ever went to Floyd’s house to pick up his things. His car was still in the driveway. Neither Manago nor Scott had the paperwork necessary to address the car. Owens herself arranged to have it removed, and she gave Manago and Scott money to cover the rent they lost after Floyd’s death.

In the film, Scott emphasizes how surprised she was that no family members ever came to Floyd’s home for the final years of his life, the home where his belongings were still to be found. Manago says that he would like to meet Floyd’s daughter, as that daughter is “an extension of him.” Manago and Scott chat about people coming forward and claiming to be Floyd’s children, but proven wrong through DNA checks. Evidently there were rumors that some tried to capitalize on worldwide sympathy for Floyd by claiming false relationships. The documentary does not make clear if these rumors are accurate.

Owens lays bare George Floyd’s extensive criminal history. In 2007, Floyd and his accomplices forced entry into the home of Aracely Henriquez, pistol-whipped her, and ransacked her home. Henriquez’s seven-year-old son identified Floyd. “How absolutely traumatized that child was,” Owens remarks. “Just a few years later, children are wearing his shirt, and referring to him as hero and savior. That’s wrong … Two things can be true at once. George Floyd didn’t deserve to die. And this person was not a saint,” she says.

In a 2019 arrest video, “I want my momma, man,” Floyd moans. Who exactly was George Floyd’s “momma”? On the witness stand, Courtney Ross, Floyd’s girlfriend, with whom he sometimes used opioids, testifies that Floyd called her “momma,” and indeed his listed her phone number on his phone as “momma.” “Calling out for his mother was a nice victim narrative,” Owens observes.

Owens is shown speaking on her phone to an interlocutor we cannot hear. This, we learn, is Derek Chauvin’s mother. For understandable reasons, she is afraid to speak to Owens. Unable to gain access to Chauvin or his mother, Owens turns to people who knew him. Sargent Joey Sandberg says that “Derek is quiet, somewhat quirky, very dependable. Derek is the kind of guy you want to show up on your calls with you. He’s very level headed.” Sandberg says that Chauvin is allowed no reading material, no TV, no computer, and he is alone in his cell twenty-three hours a day. Since the documentary was filmed, Chauvin has been moved to another prison.

Lieutenant Kim Voss insists that Chauvin never revealed any racist tendencies. Indeed, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, a Muslim and a black man, said, “I wouldn’t call [Floyd’s death a hate crime] because hate crimes are crimes where there’s an explicit motive and bias. We don’t have any evidence that Derek Chauvin factored in George Floyd’s race as he did what he did.”

In the “widely circulated video taken by a bystander” “the camera angle suggests” that Chauvin “kneeled on George Floyd’s neck the whole time.” But Officer Alexander Kueng’s camera showed Chauvin’s knee on Floyd’s shoulder blade. How long Chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s shoulder has been debated. In other video, Floyd also says “I can’t breathe” before he is put on the ground, at his own request.

Dr. Ron Martinelli is a forensic criminologist and Certified Medical Investigator. Martinelli tells Owens that there was evidence that Floyd had consumed a lethal cocktail of fentanyl and methamphetamine. In video from the trial, Dr. Andrew Baker, Chief Medical Examiner of Hennepin County, testifies that the level of fentanyl found in Floyd’s system, had he been found dead absent any interaction with police, would have been assessed as enough to have killed him. “I would certify his death as fentanyl toxicity.”

Martinelli says that Floyd’s heart suffered from cardiomegaly, that is, an enlarged heart, a sign of ill health. “That is significant.” “There is zero evidence,” he says, to prove that Floyd was unable to intake sufficient oxygen. The suggestion is that Floyd did not die of asphyxiation. This conclusion is controversial and debated. On October 17, for example, the Washington Post accused Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, of lying when he said that Floyd died from a drug overdose. The reason that the asphyxiation v. drug overdose battle is so hot is clear. If Floyd died of a drug overdose, he was responsible for his own death and the larger narrative becomes an anti-drug-abuse narrative. If Derek Chauvin asphyxiated Floyd, Chauvin is responsible for his death, and the larger narrative is one of black innocence, white racism, and police brutality.

Owens interviews a few people whose lives where damaged by Floyd protestors. Liz Collin is a former news anchor. She is married to former Minneapolis police chief Bob Kroll. “Within minutes” of Floyd’s death, Collin reports, tweets appeared saying, paraphrase, Bob Kroll and Liz Collin will be dead by the time the year ends. The mob also threatened to murder their seven-year-old son. Protestors made pinatas of Collin and Kroll dressed as Klansmen. and Representative John Thompson, spewing obscenities, beat these effigies in Collin’s and Kroll’s home driveway. Collin lost her job, and was unable to get any other job.

Kitson is a boutique in LA where celebrities sometimes shop. Fraser Ross is the owner. He called Kitson “a general store for the rich.” Looters stole over $400 thousand dollars of merchandise. Chrissy Teigen posted that she would donate hundreds of thousands of dollars in bail money for rioters. “They all live in gated communities and it’s not their stuff being destroyed,” Ross observes.

Ross posted a looting photo and said “Thanks Chrissy.” She replied, “I’m gonna not shop at your store so hard.” Influencers Jen Atkin and Dana Omari inevitably accused Ross of being a racist. Omari sent Ross a lengthy private message detailing how he must grovel in public to avoid further wrath. During a phone call, Omari extorted a ten thousand dollar donation to Black Lives Matter. Without that donation, she said, she would ruin his business through her internet posts.

Not just individual lives, but the lives of communities were destroyed by the Floyd riots. These were largely non-white, low-income communities. Pastor Charles Karuku grew up in Kenya. He is president of Unity Movement Institute. Of the Floyd riots, Pastor Karuku says, “I’m used to this in Third World countries, but not in America, and not in Minnesota … This is not ‘Minnesota Nice.'” Karuku and Owens walk past a sign reading, “You are now entering the Free State of George Floyd.”

Karuku explains, “This is an autonomous zone that operates outside the laws of the United States … They do whatever they want … We’ve seen a woman who was pregnant shot right in front of us.”

Shops are boarded up. Insurance would never cover all the losses. Owens and Karuku pass an open-air altar to George Floyd. There is a drawing in the street representing his body. Flowers and artwork surround it. A cardboard sign reads, “Sacred space.”

“We have better people to follow,” the pastor says. “Like Jesus Christ, who epitomized what we would like to emulate.”

“BLM raised ninety million dollars on the back of George Floyd. Where is that money?” Owens asks.

“I don’t know. It’s not here … Everything looks worse than it was… Some of these organizations can only get money if they propagate hatred. They are not helping the community. They are helping themselves,” Karuku says.

George Floyd’s former housemates say that they have not seen a dime of BLM money, though they are carrying the expenses Floyd used to carry.

Silicone Valley entrepreneur and bestselling author Vivek Ramaswamy says that during the Floyd riots, his business milieu insisted on “a pledge of allegiance to this one man into some type of new modern messiah figure. The religious quality was odd. The bending the knee … I didn’t recite the same ritual incantation that every other CEO was pledging allegiance to across the country.”

A BLM front person bought a mansion for three million, and then sold it to BLM for six million within days, creating a personal profit of three million. “That’s a self-dealing transaction.”

BLM founder Patrisse Cullors hired her mother and her brother to work at the property. The brother is a graffiti artist. He was hired to handle security. His salary is $840 thousand for one year. Cullors’ baby daddy received $969 thousand. Cullors also channeled money to her wife, Jenaya Khan, who appears to have had surgery to appear as a male. Even so, a photo of Khan can receive this kind of caption from Vogue“Louis Vuitton vest and pants. Mejuri pendant necklace. Hair, Marcia Hamilton; makeup, Tasha Reiko Brown. Fashion Editor: Yashua Simmons. Produced by: GE Projects. Photographed by Melodie McDaniel.” A bit different from “Arise ye prisoners of starvation. Arise ye wretched of the earth.”

BLM has poured over two million dollars into trans groups, including groups for trans sex workers. Owens attempts to investigate Living through Giving, an organization that received $2.3 million from BLM. Photos reveal that Cullors knew the recipient, AJ Vreeland, at least as early as 2019. Living through Giving purports to distribute free lunches. Owens was unable to find any such distribution.

$32 million of Marxist, anti-Western, anti-American BLM’s assets went into the stock market.

Owens goes to “celebrity enclave” Laurel Canyon. In this segment, petite Candace Owens is very obviously pregnant. She is dressed, as ever, impeccably. She merely approaches the gate of Cullors’ mansion, a mansion purchased with the blood of innocents like David Dorn.

Intercut with Owens’ inoffensive approach to Cullors’ mansion is video of Cullors herself, whining online that Candace Owens is threatening her. It would be comical were it not so disgusting. Owens is a petite woman; she is carrying a child; she is speaking in soft, polite tones. All she wants is to speak to someone. Cullors labels Owens’ visit a veritable terrorist assault. “She was demanding that I come outside,” Cullors lies into her video camera. “It’s unacceptable and it’s dangerous to come outside of my house.” One thinks of the houses burned to the ground by Cullors’ followers. “What happened this morning is not safety. It’s not what I deserve. It’s not what any of us deserve. They’re trying to destroy me.” No, Cullors. Owens was just trying to tell the truth.

It goes without saying that Cullors’ security team is, as Owens reports, a white male and a German shepherd.

“What could be more emblematic of BLM than that?” Owens asks. “Playing the victim, to the public, hoping that you can get sympathy and that sympathy will transform into dollars.” “The real story” of George Floyd’s death, Owens insists, “is a story of addiction. That could have brought people together globally. This was a man who was high on drugs … it is a story of a man who overdosed.” Instead, BLM uses “black emotion and black pain to extort dollars from white America.”

In 2020, Minneapolis saw a 58% increase in murder. In 2021, the city recorded the highest number of homicides in over 20 years.

The mother of George Floyd’s daughter has reportedly announced a $250 million lawsuit against Kanye West, claiming the billionaire rapper and fashion mogul’s recent comments in which he seemed to attribute Floyd’s death to fentanyl and not police brutality have “retraumatized” her daughter.

Roxie Washington’s lawyers allege West’s comments constitute “harassment, misappropriation, defamation, and infliction of emotional distress,” according to a letter obtained by Yahoo Entertainment. It remains unclear how West’s remarks are defamatory since the dead cannot be defamed under the law.

“The interests of the child are priority. George Floyd’s daughter is being retraumatized by Kanye West’s comments and he’s creating an unsafe and unhealthy environment for her,” attorney Nuru Witherspoon said.

The lawsuit will reportedly also go after West’s “business partners” and “associates.”

It remains unclear if lawyers have already filed the lawsuit in court or if the announcement is a strategy to force West into a settlement.

West made the comments during a recent appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast.

“They hit [Floyd] with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” West said.

Earlier this week, attorneys for George Floyd’s daughter, Gianna, and her mother sent West a cease-and-desist letter, demanding that he stop commenting publicly about Floyd’s death.

A medical examiner ruled Floyd’s death as a homicide. However, an autopsy report noted other “significant” conditions, including hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication, and methamphetamine use.

As Breitbart News reported, Kanye West donated $2 million in 2020 to support George Floyd’s family members, as well as those of Ahmaud Arbrery and Breonna Taylor. The fund included an education plan to cover college tuition for Floyd’s daughter.

FOR LAWYER KAMALA HARRIS, THE LAWS SIMPLY DO NOT FACTOR INTO ANYTHING. SHE’S IN IT TO MAKE MONEY.

SO IS HER LAWYER HUSBAND!

9. Why did your office decline to investigate the health supplement fraud cases involving companies your husband’s law firm represented? Did you, as California’s attorney general, ever purposefully decline investigating or prosecuting clients of your husband’s law firm?

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and her husband, attorney Douglas Emhoff, gave 1.1% of their income to charity in 2019, tax records show.

Harris reported giving $35,390 to charity, while she and her husband earned $3,095,950 in taxable income.

The best-case scenario is that she’s a progressive who repeatedly violated her own principles so that she could promote her career. In the worst-case scenario, she’s just another corrupt, rotten, regressive prosecutor.                              JESSER HOROWITZ

She also declined to prosecute OneWest, run by now-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin from 2009-2015, after her own prosecutors said they discovered over a thousand violations of foreclosure law committed by the bank. (OneWest donated $6,500 to Harris' attorney general campaign in 2011, and Mnuchin himself donated $2,000 to her Senatecampaign in 2016.)

“The effrontery to all of us to put an obviously ailing and incoherent

Joe Biden for the top spot and for the V.P., Kamala Harris, who

couldn't even carry her own state in the primaries, indicates their lack of

judgment.”  ALAN BERGSTEIN

“However, I would like to encourage my fellow Democrats to approach Senator Harris with a healthy dose of skepticism. As a prosecutor and California State Attorney General, Harris has engaged in blatantly unethical behavior for her profession and embraced positions that actively hurt her constituents.”

Joe Biden, the corrupt, unaccomplished 47-year career politician, with a reputation of having been a proud segregationist, an unabashed plagiarist and liar, a resolute tale-teller, and a serial flip-flopper, is pretending to head up a radical social-democratic ticket for President of the United States that includes as his running mate the ambitious, disagreeable junior senator from California: Kamala Harris.
