I n Los Angeles, the truth leaked out: Three top Latino Democrat bigshots running the city through its council, Council President Nury Martinez, and council members Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León, along with a top public employee union leader, Ron Herrera, are flaming racists.
One of them, the council president, Nury Martinez, was caught on a leaked tape calling a black two-year-old child 'like a monkey' and said she'd like to give the toddler "a beatdown." Another, council member Kevin de León, compared the child with his two white gay parents as a thing they carried around like a "handbag." Martinez refered to their fellow city council member, as "a little b***."
They also spewed antisemitism and even anti-Armenian insults -- "Jews cut their deal with South L.A.," Martinez cynically sneered as the three of them discussed redistricting decisions they didn't like. “They are gonna screw everybody else,” Martinez said in the recording.
An Armenian was described by Martinez as "the guy with the one eyebrow."
There also was anti-indigenous Mexican racism from this bunch -- even de León, who is of Guatemalan heritage -- which was obviously a carryover from their own elitist backgrounds that are common in Mexico, with insults directed at indigenous people from Oaxaca state because they are "little, short, dark, people" who are "tan feo,' as Martinez put it, or, "so ugly." The audio is here .
Eeew. Their racism flowed like an unflushed overflowing toilet and man, it stunk.
All of the participants in this leftist kaffeeklasch were Democrats, a fact the media chose to ignore, and every one of them was a well-hailed star of their party, often hailed as "the first Latina" or "the first Latino" whatever, which Democrats like to do when the person they are boosting is a Democrat.
What's the Democrat response to the unmasking of these creepy, cynical, racist corrupt characters?
Mealy mouthed condemnations and little else.
Joe Biden is the latest, where he said, through his spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, but not directly, that the three council members "should" resign.
At a press conference Tuesday, Jean-Pierre said President Biden believes all politicians should be held accountable for racist language, including Democratic leaders who are leading one of the most liberal leaning cities in the country.
"The President is glad to see that one of the participants in that conversation has resigned," Jean-Pierre said [speaking of Herrera the union leader]. "He believes that they all should resign. The language that was used during that conversation was unacceptable and it was appalling."
Unacceptable. Appalling. This from the guy who set up a whole unit to root out all that racism he claims is infesting the U.S. military. They "should" resign, as Joe puts it, but there's no thunder there and he lets a flunky say it.
How about some others?
Karen Bass, who's been allied to these characters in her quest for the mayor's office, where she is the frontrunner, condemned the racism, but stopped short of telling the racists to get the heck out. Bass is black, and as Martinez would put it "with the blacks."
Seems she's concerned with how the turnout might end up come November.
First off, the three of them, as of this writing, are still in office. Cedillo got voted out in the last election, so he'll leave only when he has to. The other two don't suggest any plans to resign at all. Steven Hayward, writing at Power Line , notes that Martinez makes a $207,000 salary, which might just be why she doesn't think she has to go. The latest is that she's now taking a leave of absence, perhaps to evade the political heat by just hunkering down. It would be interesting to know if that's a paid leave.
Lots of other local eminentos have called on these characters to resign.
According to the Los Angeles Times :
Councilmembers Nithya Raman, Paul Koretz, Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Mitch O’Farrell, Heather Hutt and Bonin have all called on Martinez to resign.
They all have their axes to grind and serve as rivals to the exposed racists, but don't think that at least some of them don't talk that way among their pals themselves.
In short, it's a completely inadequate reaction.
Even The View tried to cover for them, omitting the inconvenient detail about all four of the racists being Democrats:
Which pretty well highlights what this mealy-mouthed reaction is all about.
The four caught-on-tape racist Democrats all wield tremendous power in Los Angeles, with a gargantuan multibillion-dollar budget, the power to award contracts, and the power to say what gets done and not done. Martinez voted 'yes' to rip out $150 million from the LAPD police budget in 2020, as part of the Black Lives Matter pile-on. They are not only powerful, they run a powerful political machine, one that has been in conflicts with "the blacks" as Martinez put it, and which resentfully considers black people as having too much political power in the city. Everything is about color-counting with these people, there's no such thing as principles. At Power Line, John Hinderaker noted that Martinez's claim to have made her racist remarks were a product of anger and the heat of the moment was bogus, writing:
"The conversation reflects cold, cynical political calculation, not frustration and anger."
Since they wield this power in Los Angeles and well into Sacramento and Washington, a death-blow has been struck. Every Democrat who's in hock to them and expects them to help them out is hesitant to say anything about the scandal, let alone condemn it beyond just cursory condemnations. Sure they call for this bunch to resign, and the union leader has, but they don't mean it.
Their mealy mouthed stern warnings seem to be a bid to keep them in place so as to hold on to a piece of that power they get from them, until the whole scandal blows over.
That's why they don't do anything more than cursorily condemn the racist talk. Nobody's forcing these characters to resign, and the three racists can obviously see that because they aren't resigning. Martinez tried to gaslight the public by claiming she was resigning her city council president seat, but she kept the cash-paying one, her city council seat and continued to hold onto power. De León and Cedillo issued loud and disingenuous apologies, but didn't quit office. This, despite the obvious public relations problem for the Democrats, which includes the inclination of about a quarter of the black vote, at least, to head on to the Republicans this November. There was a reaction in city hall on Tuesday -- see this Twitter thread here -- but still no resignations -- the racists have calculated that they can just ride this out and everythin will eventually go back to normal.
Not only are Democrats losing black votes anyway, the same can be said of Latino votes, which must include some of those insulted Oaxacans and anyone sympathetic to them after these elites mocked them.
As of this writing, nobody's out a job other than the union chief, the political elites have decided they can just ride this out. That leaves them a millstone around the Democrats' necks as elections approach, and thus far, the Democrats aren't strong enough to push them out. Obviously, some kind of power is at stake, the racists and their Democrat enablers don't intend to give it up, the apologies and ablutions are window dressing, but the reality here is that Democrats themselves don't want to see them give it up and get out.
What an ugly picture.

Angry residents demanded Tuesday that three Los Angeles City Council members resign over recorded racist comments, disrupting a meeting in which council member Mike Bonin gave an emotional speech defending his son, who was targeted in the conversation.
As Breitbart News noted Sunday, Council President Nury Martinez and Councilmember Kevin de Léon — the former President pro tem of the State Senate — apologized for their roles in the conversation, which consisted of Martinez launching racial tirades against Bonin, who is in a gay marriage, over his adopted black son. Councilmember Gil Cedillo and Los Angeles County Federation of Labor President Ron Herrera were also involved in a discussion that ranged widely over a number of other targets of racial ire.
Martinez has resigned as council president and taken a leave of absence; Herrera has stepped down from his post. De Léon, who celebrated his swearing-in as the state’s first Latino Senate leader in a lavish ceremony in 2014, faces growing calls to leave as well.
The controversy has rocked the Democrat-dominated city, whose leaders style themselves as a “progressive” alternative to the rest of the country, notably Republican-run states, which the media and the “progressive” elite claim are repositories of lingering racism.
As the New York Times reported on Tuesday, a city council meeting that was set to deal with the issue was nearly derailed by a crowd of protesters shouting “¡Fuera !” (“Out!”). Finally, Bonin — who is retiring, thanks to his unpopularity among his own constituents — gave an address in which he gained an elusive degree of respect by channeling the city’s outrage and frustration at the racist rhetoric.
Bonin said , via the Los Angeles Times :
[T]here are a lot of people who are now asking for forgiveness. And asking for forgiveness is a good first step. But well, it’s a second step because first, first you must resign and then ask for forgiveness. But let me be clear: People should not ask me for forgiveness, because I can’t forgive them because it’s not my prerogative. It’s the prerogative of a boy who was too young to really understand what the hell was going on.
The issue has also affected the ongoing race for mayor, Politico noted , in which frontrunner Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) has cited her past work with multiracial coalitions, and billionaire businessman Rick Caruso has portrayed the controversy as a sign new leaders are needed in City Hall.

Brown then let her true MSM colors show with a softball question to Murguia implying that opposition to illegal immigration is veiled racism: "What are the racial undertones to this debate for many people? Is that something that worries you?" Murguia was only too happy to be worried, alleging that there are "racial undertones, anti-ethnic overtones." That's when Dobbs got off perhaps his best line of the morning. "The National Council of La Raza is talking about race? La Raza - what does that mean? It means 'the race'!"
Previous generations of immigrants did not believe they were
racially superior to Americans. That is the view of La Raza Cosmica , by Jose Vasconcelos, Mexico’s former education minister and a presidential candidate. According to this book, republished in 1979 by the Department of Chicano Studies at Cal State LA, students of Scandinavian, Dutch and English background are dullards, blacks are ugly and inferior, and those “Mongols” with the slanted eyes lack enterprise. L.A. City Council Leaders Apologize for Racist Slurs Against Black Child; ‘Negrito,’ ‘Monkey’ 624

Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and Councilmember Kevin de Léon — the former president pro tem of the California State Senate — apologized Sunday for a conversation including racial slurs against the black child of a white colleague.
NBC Los Angeles reported :
Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and Councilman Kevin de León apologized Sunday for an attack on colleague Mike Bonin during a recorded conversation in October 2021 that included racist slurs by Martinez directed at Bonin’s young son.

Martinez also called the child “ese changuito,” Spanish for “that little monkey.”

“Su negrito, like on the side,” Martinez added, using a Spanish term for a Black person that’s considered demeaning by many.
De Léon, who ran for mayor but lost in the primary, did not object to the racial slurs, and mocked Bonin over his son.
In a statement on behalf of his family, Bonin condemned the language used by Martinez and De Léon, and demanded Martinez resign:
“No child should ever be subjected to such racism, mean and dehumanizing comments,” he said of the words used by his fellow Democrats.
Bonin is not running for reelection to a third term; a left-wing “progressive,” he clashed frequently with constituents and with other civic leaders, especially over the issue of homelessness on the west side of the city.

Earlier this month, an anonymous Reddit account posted several shocking audio recordings. The recordings seem to contain the voices of Council President Nury Martinez, Councilmembers Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo, and LA Labor Federation President Ron Herrera discussing a wide range of topics of great public interest and being incredibly racist while doing so.
Martinez is the LA City Council president and who was considered a mayoral prospect. She came out of a bunch of woke organizations and LAUSD. She’s as establishment as Kamala Harris. And, if she has her way, on a similar trajectory.
Kevin de Leon was an LA mayoral candidate, after previously running for Senate against Feinstein, he’s got positions with USC and UCLA pushing leftist agendas, and came out of the same woke establishment. Cedillo and Herrera are powerful union players. These are some of the powers that have made LA into the train wreck that it is and they want national office if they can get it.
These are not low-level politicians, they’re the local woke establishment. And in private, they say what they think.
In the recording, Council President Nury Martinez says of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, “F___ that guy, he’s with the Blacks.”

Martinez: If he resigns, hold on, if he resigns, and the African-Americans look at this as a hostile takeover because he’s gone. We’ll have to figure that S— out because politically they’re gonna come after us.
De Leon: Yeah, but can i say something right now. And this is what I call the coso se llama is the movie, the uh Wizard of Oz effect, and what I mean by the Wizard of Oz effect: you’re at the side of the curtain, is like this big voice, like thousands, but then you actually pull the curtain is that you see the little wizard
You know what? It’s the same thing.
Herrera: All right, it’s real simple. You got 100 people, right, 52 of them are Mexicano, I feel pretty good about it, about my chances of beating your ass
Cedillo: Twenty-five or so are black and the 25 blacks are shouting
De Leon: But they shout like they’re 250, when there’s 100 of us
There’s the unapologetic colorism. And the naked truths about the racial dynamics of political power behind all that wokeness.
The politicians in question are being forced to apologize. Mike Bonin, as repulsive a creature as any of them, is calling for their heads. But who’s kidding whom? Behind the scenes, black politicians and Asians are likely to be just as racist, if not more so when talking about their opposite numbers.
The rainbow coalition is a tribal power struggle, not that different from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Los Angeles Democrats caught on tape guffawing together as one calls blacks monkeys
Ever wonder what the most powerful blue-city ruling elites say in private about the people they virtue-signal loudest about in public?
Wonder no more: a leaked tape of a meeting of powerful Los Angeles City Council leaders, plus a top public employee union leader, lets us know.
Here's KTLA 's report:
Two members of the Los Angeles City Council and a union leader released apology statements Sunday after a report published by the Los Angeles Times included transcribed leaked audio of offensive and racist remarks that were made during a private meeting. A third council member claimed to have no recollection of the conversation.
In the leaked audio, which was summarized by the Times but was originally posted to Reddit and remains readily available on social media, Council President Nury Martinez can be heard making derisive and racist comments about the child of Mike Bonin, the council member representing the 11th District.
Bonin, who is white, has an adopted son who is Black. In the leaked audio, Martinez can be heard describing Bonin's son as "ese changuito," or that little monkey, according to the Times. At one point, Martinez also refers to Bonin as a "little b----."
There was other disgusting stuff, too. A Wikipedia summary notes :
On October 9, 2022, a recording of a conversation between Martinez and other councilmembers Gil Cedillo , and Kevin de León regarding gerrymandering was leaked anonymously onto Reddit . In the meeting, Martinez stated "Fuck that guy ... He's with the Blacks", referring to District Attorney George Gascón . Martinez also insulted Councilmember Mike Bonin 's adopted child, saying "This kid needs a beatdown. Let me take him around the corner, I'll bring him right back."[34]
The three councilmembers discussed how to appoint a new councilmember who would work in their interests and also agreed to gerrymander Nithya Raman 's district.
Martinez, a longtime fixture in the Pacoima-San Fernando Latino political machine, Los Angeles City Council president, and the chief racist here, was trying to engineer a gerrymander of at least one district for the sake of the Latino machine at the expense of the black political machine. That's ostensibly because the black machine wields more power than its numbers of voters suggest, even though something comparable could be said of the Latino machine, which boasts about 48% - 65% of the population, with only about a third of whom can vote, either due to age (many Latinos are young) or the fact that many are here illegally from other countries.
So as Martinez attempted to rig the blacks out of the power system, through redistricting, she let spew the racism that came naturally to her.
It certainly explains this racism from her cited below from National Review -- signing off on cutting funding for the police, which hurts black communities the most:
Martinez and her colleagues cut the police department budget by $150 million, resulting in over $47 million in unpaid overtime hours by LAPD officers in the 2020-2021 fiscal year that will need to eventually be paid back , with interest, by taxpayers.
She reacted to a Los Angeles Times report on the council’s fiscal mismanagement by arguing that “regardless of any inevitable overtime pay, it’s undeniable that this council has listened and is focused on creating a more equitable city.”
Three hundred and ninety seven murders were recorded in Los Angeles in 2021, the most since 2006. It on track for roughly the same number of homicides this year.
Anybody surprised she spews anti-black racism in private?
Such a charming wokester. Now that the news of the tape is out, the denials and apologies are comical — the union leader among those guffawing, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Ron Herrera, childing himself for not "speaking out" as the racism rolled was particularly a beaut — as if these people in their comfort zone with one another don't talk like this all the time. One of them, Gil Cedillo, who got himself a congressional seat awhile back from ballot-harvesting, claims he can't recall the conversation.
It's far from the first time that leftists in power have been caught on tape spewing hate about the people they claim to champion. It's natural stuff for the left. Recall that a northern California school board was caught on what its members thought was a private Zoom meeting (it wasn't) making foul remarks about parents who were concerned about lockdowns. These nasty creatures were eventually booted from office, but everyone knows what such Democrats say in private over that issue.
Martinez is part of the most corrupt segment of the Los Angeles ruling power elites: the James Acevedo-Alex Padilla-Kevin de León-Tony Cardenas Latino machine of the Pacoima-San Fernando area, who not only rule Los Angeles, but have the hooks in in Sacramento — de León almost won his Senate race against dotardly Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2018. With Padilla now in the Senate, they've got the machine represented in Washington, too. They serve as a rival house of power to the corrupt Nancy Pelosi-Gordon Getty-Gavin Newsom-Kamala Harris-Willy Brown-Jerry Brown political machine in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the two houses, in their quest for power, work to out-woke each other — and shame the rest of the state and country as hopeless racists.
Well, it turns out that they're the flaming racists. This is much more than local politics here; this is how Democrats talk in private as they put on their virtue-signaling masks in public.
Their remarks are repulsive. Were a Republican such as Donald Trump caught making them — and he never has been, despite being constantly recorded — he would be denounced to high heaven. Such remarks would be hailed by this bunch as systemic racism and proof that all Republicans are racist. They get called racist anyway and not for anything racist.
But now we have the buck-naked racism on full display, coming from a solid blue city of Democrats with absolutely no conservative or Republican representation. We hear denunciations from other members of the political machines of Los Angeles, particularly the ones who were about to be rigged out of office. Most of the focus now is how if Martinez and the others aren't thrown out, it could affect the mayor's race, where a black candidate is running. Karen Bass, another former congresswoman who almost became Joe Biden's running mate, supposedly has a lock on the mayor's chair come November, but seems scared now that maybe with this scandal, the Latino vote is no longer a lock .
Democrats nationally have been silent and that's about par for this bunch.
That's why it's important that Republicans, as the media phrase goes, "pounce," taking full advantage of this unfinished scandal to remind the public that the Democrats remain the Party of the Klan. In Los Angeles, out in the Baldwin Hills area, there is a remnant branch of black Republicans dating from the Party of Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. era. It's time to empower them.
And if not that, then Republicans. must get word out nationally that this is Who They Are.
These vile one-party machines need to be broken up so that if for nothing else, competition and civility can follow between the two political tendencies instead of buck-raw racism. The racism here in Los Angeles is completely at home in any one-party system or state.
UPDATE: Apparently, the ruling Democrats have managed to kick Martinez out, but it's not clear if she entirely resigned or is just giving up her fancy title as president of the city council. New reports say she's only giving up her fancy title as the Latina "first." The rest haven't, and additional racist ravings are revealed in this ABC7 story . The comparison to the Nazi Party is well deserved. La Raza openly supports pushing all but Latino Americans out of a portion of the United States (ethnic cleansing), they call for 'Reconquista' or the re-conquest of the American Southwest by Mexico (the re-occupation of the Sudetanland), and the establishment of 'Atzlan' which is the utopian all-Latino version of the American Southwestern states (Adolf Hitler planned to called his utopia Germania).

Only in America could critics of a group called "The Race" be labeled racists. Such is the triumph of left-wing identity chauvinists, whose aggressive activists and supine abettors have succeeded in redefining all opposition as "hate."
Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.

15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.

"The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."
3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

Judge whose sister heads La Raza rules 130-year law against encouraging illegal immigrants is unconstitutional

Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”
KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1 324 , the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015 .
This law has been on the books in some form for over 130 years, and numerous federal courts have upheld convictions based on §1324. Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc . and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS ), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet ) is a federal judge on the very Ninth Circuit Court from which he drew this opinion. Judge Mary Murguia once recused herself from a trial involving pro-enforcement Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of her sister’s leadership of La Raza. Carlos should have done the same thing this week in this case, which involves a law that directly conflicts with the work with the open-borders groups his family is associated with.
Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM .
This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.
The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!
The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.
Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” ( United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999) .) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”
So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.
The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law . We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?
Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy .
Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem . The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

As Phyllis Schlafly reveals in this issue of Whistleblower: "This CFR document asserts that President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin 'committed their governments' to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005. The three adopted the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America' and assigned 'working groups' to fill in the details. It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American Summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet 'vigilantes' on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona."
The CFR report – important excerpts of which are published in Whistleblower – also suggests North American elitists begin getting together regularly, and presumably secretly, "to buttress North American relationships, along the lines of the Bilderberg or Wehrkunde conferences, organized to support transatlantic relations." For decades, there have been suspicions that such meetings were used for plotting the course of world events and especially the centralization of global decision-making.

One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.
Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.
How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."
That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication,
which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."
Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."
A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."

‘Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and Destroying America

Now that official Washington’s political oxygen is being consumed by the latest school shooting, it’s easy to forget abiding disagreements about immigration policy. Yet, until supplanted by the current children’s crusade for gun control, it was the so-called “DACA kids” who had to be accommodated with a massive amnesty. Just as we seem determined to ignore factors in mass murders like the pop culture’s role in inculcating a lust for violence – the more, the better, what passes for debate about illegal aliens is increasingly unmoored from any discussion of their impact on American society. It’s time to reprise a 2003 warning by Democratic former Colorado governor Dick Lamm about a “secret plan” that is destroying our country through the combined effects of unchecked immigration, the “diversity” agenda and abandoning our national principle of “out of many, one.” This lunacy must end.

Earlier this month, an anonymous Reddit account posted several shocking audio recordings. The recordings seem to contain the voices of Council President Nury Martinez, Councilmembers Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo, and LA Labor Federation President Ron Herrera discussing a wide range of topics of great public interest and being incredibly racist while doing so.
Martinez is the LA City Council president and who was considered a mayoral prospect. She came out of a bunch of woke organizations and LAUSD. She’s as establishment as Kamala Harris. And, if she has her way, on a similar trajectory.
Kevin de Leon was an LA mayoral candidate, after previously running for Senate against Feinstein, he’s got positions with USC and UCLA pushing leftist agendas, and came out of the same woke establishment. Cedillo and Herrera are powerful union players. These are some of the powers that have made LA into the train wreck that it is and they want national office if they can get it.
These are not low-level politicians, they’re the local woke establishment. And in private, they say what they think.
In the recording, Council President Nury Martinez says of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón, “F___ that guy, he’s with the Blacks.”
The revealing parts aren’t the racial slurs in Spanish, but the matter-of-fact racial realpolitik.
Cedillo: Yeah, that’s called K-Town. Yeah.
Martinez: I see a lot of little short dark people. Oxacan, Korean. Not even like Kevin, little ones. I was like, I don’t know what village they came from, how they got here, but
Herrera: I get what we have to do, right? Just message to create distincts that benefit you all. And the future too…
Martinez: If he resigns, hold on, if he resigns, and the African-Americans look at this as a hostile takeover because he’s gone. We’ll have to figure that S— out because politically they’re gonna come after us.
De Leon: Yeah, but can i say something right now. And this is what I call the coso se llama is the movie, the uh Wizard of Oz effect, and what I mean by the Wizard of Oz effect: you’re at the side of the curtain, is like this big voice, like thousands, but then you actually pull the curtain is that you see the little wizard

Herrera: All right, it’s real simple. You got 100 people, right, 52 of them are Mexicano, I feel pretty good about it, about my chances of beating your ass
Cedillo: Twenty-five or so are black and the 25 blacks are shouting

There’s the unapologetic colorism. And the naked truths about the racial dynamics of political power behind all that wokeness.
The politicians in question are being forced to apologize. Mike Bonin, as repulsive a creature as any of them, is calling for their heads. But who’s kidding whom? Behind the scenes, black politicians and Asians are likely to be just as racist, if not more so when talking about their opposite numbers.
The rainbow coalition is a tribal power struggle, not that different from Iraq or Afghanistan.

Los Angeles Democrats caught on tape guffawing together as one calls blacks monkeys
Ever wonder what the most powerful blue-city ruling elites say in private about the people they virtue-signal loudest about in public?
Wonder no more: a leaked tape of a meeting of powerful Los Angeles City Council leaders, plus a top public employee union leader, lets us know.
Here's KTLA 's report:
Two members of the Los Angeles City Council and a union leader released apology statements Sunday after a report published by the Los Angeles Times included transcribed leaked audio of offensive and racist remarks that were made during a private meeting. A third council member claimed to have no recollection of the conversation.
In the leaked audio, which was summarized by the Times but was originally posted to Reddit and remains readily available on social media, Council President Nury Martinez can be heard making derisive and racist comments about the child of Mike Bonin, the council member representing the 11th District.
Bonin, who is white, has an adopted son who is Black. In the leaked audio, Martinez can be heard describing Bonin's son as "ese changuito," or that little monkey, according to the Times. At one point, Martinez also refers to Bonin as a "little b----."
There was other disgusting stuff, too. A Wikipedia summary notes :
On October 9, 2022, a recording of a conversation between Martinez and other councilmembers Gil Cedillo , and Kevin de León regarding gerrymandering was leaked anonymously onto Reddit . In the meeting, Martinez stated "Fuck that guy ... He's with the Blacks", referring to District Attorney George Gascón . Martinez also insulted Councilmember Mike Bonin 's adopted child, saying "This kid needs a beatdown. Let me take him around the corner, I'll bring him right back."[34]
The three councilmembers discussed how to appoint a new councilmember who would work in their interests and also agreed to gerrymander Nithya Raman 's district.
Martinez, a longtime fixture in the Pacoima-San Fernando Latino political machine, Los Angeles City Council president, and the chief racist here, was trying to engineer a gerrymander of at least one district for the sake of the Latino machine at the expense of the black political machine. That's ostensibly because the black machine wields more power than its numbers of voters suggest, even though something comparable could be said of the Latino machine, which boasts about 48% - 65% of the population, with only about a third of whom can vote, either due to age (many Latinos are young) or the fact that many are here illegally from other countries.
So as Martinez attempted to rig the blacks out of the power system, through redistricting, she let spew the racism that came naturally to her.
It certainly explains this racism from her cited below from National Review -- signing off on cutting funding for the police, which hurts black communities the most:
Martinez and her colleagues cut the police department budget by $150 million, resulting in over $47 million in unpaid overtime hours by LAPD officers in the 2020-2021 fiscal year that will need to eventually be paid back , with interest, by taxpayers.
She reacted to a Los Angeles Times report on the council’s fiscal mismanagement by arguing that “regardless of any inevitable overtime pay, it’s undeniable that this council has listened and is focused on creating a more equitable city.”
Three hundred and ninety seven murders were recorded in Los Angeles in 2021, the most since 2006. It on track for roughly the same number of homicides this year.
Anybody surprised she spews anti-black racism in private?
Such a charming wokester. Now that the news of the tape is out, the denials and apologies are comical — the union leader among those guffawing, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Ron Herrera, childing himself for not "speaking out" as the racism rolled was particularly a beaut — as if these people in their comfort zone with one another don't talk like this all the time. One of them, Gil Cedillo, who got himself a congressional seat awhile back from ballot-harvesting, claims he can't recall the conversation.
It's far from the first time that leftists in power have been caught on tape spewing hate about the people they claim to champion. It's natural stuff for the left. Recall that a northern California school board was caught on what its members thought was a private Zoom meeting (it wasn't) making foul remarks about parents who were concerned about lockdowns. These nasty creatures were eventually booted from office, but everyone knows what such Democrats say in private over that issue.
Martinez is part of the most corrupt segment of the Los Angeles ruling power elites: the James Acevedo-Alex Padilla-Kevin de León-Tony Cardenas Latino machine of the Pacoima-San Fernando area, who not only rule Los Angeles, but have the hooks in in Sacramento — de León almost won his Senate race against dotardly Sen. Dianne Feinstein in 2018. With Padilla now in the Senate, they've got the machine represented in Washington, too. They serve as a rival house of power to the corrupt Nancy Pelosi-Gordon Getty-Gavin Newsom-Kamala Harris-Willy Brown-Jerry Brown political machine in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the two houses, in their quest for power, work to out-woke each other — and shame the rest of the state and country as hopeless racists.
Well, it turns out that they're the flaming racists. This is much more than local politics here; this is how Democrats talk in private as they put on their virtue-signaling masks in public.
Their remarks are repulsive. Were a Republican such as Donald Trump caught making them — and he never has been, despite being constantly recorded — he would be denounced to high heaven. Such remarks would be hailed by this bunch as systemic racism and proof that all Republicans are racist. They get called racist anyway and not for anything racist.
But now we have the buck-naked racism on full display, coming from a solid blue city of Democrats with absolutely no conservative or Republican representation. We hear denunciations from other members of the political machines of Los Angeles, particularly the ones who were about to be rigged out of office. Most of the focus now is how if Martinez and the others aren't thrown out, it could affect the mayor's race, where a black candidate is running. Karen Bass, another former congresswoman who almost became Joe Biden's running mate, supposedly has a lock on the mayor's chair come November, but seems scared now that maybe with this scandal, the Latino vote is no longer a lock .
Democrats nationally have been silent and that's about par for this bunch.
That's why it's important that Republicans, as the media phrase goes, "pounce," taking full advantage of this unfinished scandal to remind the public that the Democrats remain the Party of the Klan. In Los Angeles, out in the Baldwin Hills area, there is a remnant branch of black Republicans dating from the Party of Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. era. It's time to empower them.
And if not that, then Republicans. must get word out nationally that this is Who They Are.
These vile one-party machines need to be broken up so that if for nothing else, competition and civility can follow between the two political tendencies instead of buck-raw racism. The racism here in Los Angeles is completely at home in any one-party system or state.
UPDATE: Apparently, the ruling Democrats have managed to kick Martinez out, but it's not clear if she entirely resigned or is just giving up her fancy title as president of the city council. New reports say she's only giving up her fancy title as the Latina "first." The rest haven't, and additional racist ravings are revealed in this ABC7 story . Brown then let her true MSM colors show with a softball question to Murguia implying that opposition to illegal immigration is veiled racism: "What are the racial undertones to this debate for many people? Is that something that worries you?" Murguia was only too happy to be worried, alleging that there are "racial undertones, anti-ethnic overtones." That's when Dobbs got off perhaps his best line of the morning. "The National Council of La Raza is talking about race? La Raza - what does that mean? It means 'the race'!"
Previous generations of immigrants did not believe they were
racially superior to Americans. That is the view of La Raza Cosmica , by Jose Vasconcelos, Mexico’s former education minister and a presidential candidate. Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and Councilmember Kevin de Léon — the former president pro tem of the California State Senate — apologized Sunday for a conversation including racial slurs against the black child of a white colleague.
NBC Los Angeles reported :
Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez and Councilman Kevin de León apologized Sunday for an attack on colleague Mike Bonin during a recorded conversation in October 2021 that included racist slurs by Martinez directed at Bonin’s young son.

Martinez also called the child “ese changuito,” Spanish for “that little monkey.”

“Su negrito, like on the side,” Martinez added, using a Spanish term for a Black person that’s considered demeaning by many.
De Léon, who ran for mayor but lost in the primary, did not object to the racial slurs, and mocked Bonin over his son.
In a statement on behalf of his family, Bonin condemned the language used by Martinez and De Léon, and demanded Martinez resign:
“No child should ever be subjected to such racism, mean and dehumanizing comments,” he said of the words used by his fellow Democrats.
Bonin is not running for reelection to a third term; a left-wing “progressive,” he clashed frequently with constituents and with other civic leaders, especially over the issue of homelessness on the west side of the city.

Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.
Here are 15 things you should know about "The Race":
15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.
14."The Race" demands in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding U.S. citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.
13. "The Race" vehemently opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state and federal authorities.
12. "The Race" opposes a secure fence on the southern border.

3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

"The Race" has perfected the art of the PC shakedown at taxpayer expense, pushing relentlessly to lower home loan standards for Hispanic borrowers, reaping millions in federal "mortgage counseling" grants, seeking special multimillion-dollar earmarks and partnering with banks that do business with illegal aliens.
1. "The Race" thrives on ethnic supremacy -- and the elite sheeple's unwillingness to call it what it is. As historian Victor Davis Hanson observes: "[The] organization's very nomenclature 'The National Council of La Raza' is hate speech to the core. Despite all the contortions of the group, Raza (as its Latin cognate suggests) reflects the meaning of 'race' in Spanish, not 'the people' -- and that's precisely why we don't hear of something like 'The National Council of the People,' which would not confer the buzz notion of ethnic, racial and tribal chauvinism."

Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”
KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1 324 , the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015 .
This law has been on the books in some form for over 130 years, and numerous federal courts have upheld convictions based on §1324. Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc . and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS ), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet ) is a federal judge on the very Ninth Circuit Court from which he drew this opinion. Judge Mary Murguia once recused herself from a trial involving pro-enforcement Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of her sister’s leadership of La Raza. Carlos should have done the same thing this week in this case, which involves a law that directly conflicts with the work with the open-borders groups his family is associated with.
Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM .
This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.
The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!
The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.
Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” ( United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999) .) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”
So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.
The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law . We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?
Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy .
Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem . The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.
Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.
How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."
That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication,
which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."
Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."
A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."
For Rodolfo Acuna, author of Occupied America: The Chicano's Struggle Toward Liberation, probably the most widely assigned text in U.S. Chicano Studies programs, the Anglo-American invasion of Mexico was "as vicious as that of Hitler's invasion of Poland and other Central European nations...." The book also includes a map showing "the Mexican republic" in 1822 reaching up into Kansas and Oklahoma, and including within it Utah, Nevada, and everything west and south of there

This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!
‘Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and Destroying America

15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.
14."The Race" demands in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding U.S. citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.

5. "The Race" gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA). The late GOP Rep. "The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."
3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

"The Race" has perfected the art of the PC shakedown at taxpayer expense, pushing relentlessly to lower home loan standards for Hispanic borrowers, reaping millions in federal "mortgage counseling" grants, seeking special multimillion-dollar earmarks and partnering with banks that do business with illegal aliens.

Breitbart Business Digest: Labor Market Heat, Soggy FedEx, and Obama’s Inhospitable Island

Just for appearance’s sake, you would have thought that one of the homeowners in Martha’s Vineyard would have offered to open his or her house to the migrants shanghaied to the island by Florida governor Rick DeSantis. Instead, the migrants were sent packing to a military base on the mainland.
President Barack Obama, for example, has plenty of room. In 2019, Obama purchased a seven-bedroom, nine-bath, nearly 7,000-square-foot house that sits on 29 bucolic acres alongside Edgartown Pond on the island’s southeastern shore. His two neighbors to his immediate north have eleven beds between them, according to real estate records. The two neighbors to his south have ten beds between them. So by our count, the neighborhood could have housed more than half of the newcomers.
Since this is the Breitbart Business Digest, we’ll point out that the former president’s investment in Martha’s Vineyard real estate has worked out extraordinarily well. The president reportedly paid $11.75 million for the place in 2019. Zillow estimates that it is now worth $18.4 million, nearly a 57 percent gain.

I’ve Seen Fire…
The labor market remains incredibly hot. The Labor Department reported Thursday that initial unemployment claims fell by 5,000 to 213,000 in the week ended September 10. This is the fifth consecutive week of falling claims. The four-week moving average, which smooths out volatility from week to week, declined to the lowest level since June.
This suggests that the Federal Reserve’s efforts to ease labor market tightness have not gained much traction. Employers are clearly holding on to workers despite softening in the retail sector and in manufacturing. These low levels of layoffs point toward another hot jobs number for September. The tightness of the labor market will give workers more leverage to push for higher wages. That will fuel inflationary pressures further.
Shifting consumer spending toward services is likely creating additional demand for workers because so much of the services side of the economy is manpower intensive. Restaurant sales, for example, rose 1.1 percent in August, according to the Census Bureau.
…and I’ve Seen Rain…
FedEx delivered a pretty dire view of the global economy, sparking a broad selloff in stocks. The company warned that a macroeconomic slowdown was lowering the volume of goods being shipped around the world. In an appearance on CNBC Thursday, FedEx’s chief executive said he expects the global economy to enter a recession. The company warned that profits in the quarter that includes August would be roughly half of what Wall Street was expecting. Shares of FedEx fell 21 percent on Friday.
While FedEx’s size makes it a decent economic bellwether, it’s not safe to assume that the U.S. economy is in as dire shape as the decline in FedEx shares might seem to imply. In the first place, a lot of the softness FedEx expects is emerging from Asia and Europe, which have their own particular challenges. Second, FedEx was a huge benefiter of all the consumer spending on goods during the pandemic and post-pandemic recovery. Now that spending is rebalancing back toward services, this will hurt shipping volumes.
In the Census Bureau’s report on retail sales for August, online sales dropped by 0.7 percent. That is the first month-to-month decline since March and likely reflects a shift away from people ordering so much stuff. (Although some of the decline may be an artifact of the seasonal adjustment not properly accounting for Amazon’s Prime Day in mid-July.)
That said, the shift back to services is happening more slowly than expected. Remember that big jump in restaurant sales we mentioned? A good part of it was due to inflation rather than people eating out more frequently. The consumer price index of food away from home rose 0.9 percent. So the real increase was just 0.2 percent. On an annual basis, sales are up 10.9 percent, but the price index is up by eight percent, leaving real growth at just under three percent.
… I’ve Seen Rate Hike Cycles That Never Seemed to End
The Federal Reserve is almost certain to announce a 75 basis point rate hike next week, although there is a slim chance that they could announce a 100 basis point hike. If the Fed does act as expected, however, the focus of investors will be on the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP). We haven’t seen the dots since the June meeting, and it is very clear those are now badly out of date.
The last SEP had the Fed Funds rate rising to 3.4 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. We’ve since heard from a number of Fed officials that they would like to see the target be around four percent early next year, which means the expected tightening has not just accelerated by 12 months but also pushed up the terminal rate. That report also had unemployment at 3.7 percent by the end of this year and 3.8 percent by the end of next year. Both are likely to be revised a good deal higher in the new estimates.
A big test will be not just how high the Fed Funds rate is expected to go but how long it will stay there. The June SEP had the rate falling back down to 3.4 in 2024. If the Fed wants to really convince the market that rates will stay higher for longer, officials may do away with the projected decline. The Fed still has work to do to convince markets that they will not soon see lower rates again.

The Hollywood Reporter recently broke a scoop about the latest Netflix documentary from the Obamas, designed to offer us an oasis of joy as we suffer through the coronavirus pandemic. It's called "Becoming," and it will be available worldwide on May 6. As the title suggests, it promotes Michelle Obama's memoir of the same name, which has sold more than 10 million copies. So let's get this straight. The Obamas were awarded a book deal worth an estimated $65 million for their memoirs, hers and then his. They also struck an estimated $50 million production deal with Netflix. (We don't have actual numbers. Could someone in the media ask for a tax return?)
With this self-aggrandizing documentary, their second deal is being used to accentuate the profits of their first. The buckraking here is intense. President Donald Trump surely admires their self-promotional moxie. The Obamas quickly became super rich. The documentary celebrates Michelle Obama's "Becoming" book tour events at stadiums that charged Obama superfans $300 or more a ticket, often with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey along for the ride.
Media outlets repeated Obama's self-puffery without rebuttal. "Those months I spent traveling -- meeting and connecting with people in cities across the globe -- drove home the idea that what we have in common is deep and real and can't be messed with," she said in a statement. She augmented her new status as a self-help guru with a workbook of sorts: "Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice," complete with "an intimate and inspiring introduction by the former First Lady and more than 150 inspiring questions and quotes to help you discover -- and rediscover -- your story."
Not everyone famous is praised for self-help books for women. The current president's daughter Ivanka Trump wrote one in 2017, and The New York Times was brutal. "It reads more like the scrambled Tumblr feed of a demented 12-year-old who just checked out a copy of Bartlett's Familiar Quotations from the library," it wrote.
There are never Republican critics of Obama in the "news" these days. In a Washington Post story on the documentary, writer Sonia Rao quoted Anita McBride, chief of staff to former first lady Laura Bush, who said Obama was "a reluctant first lady" but then formed lasting public connections through her "extraordinary use of media and pop culture and television."
Is that Michelle's gift to the media? No, it's the media's gift to Michelle. The infatuated titans of "news" and entertainment media appear to have granted her every "extraordinary" wish in building this "billion-dollar brand."

I heard only two weeks ago about a grandmother in New Orleans, Linda Frickey, 73, who was carjacked in March after taking a break from work to put something in her car. When the carjackers rushed the car and drove off, Frickey got tangled in the seatbelt and was dragged for one block as her clothes were being torn off.
According to witness Leanne Mascar, after a neighbor frantically screamed to let her go, the carjackers “slowed down and opened the door to kick her out.” Naked and with her arm severed, that grandmother bled to death in the street.
This happened as the blood of vicious murdering and random violence spills from its usual purlieu to just about everywhere in America. As anti-policing policies infect the country with gut-churning insecurity, in August monthly civilian gun sales exceeded 1 million for a recording-breaking 37 consecutive months.
A day after a 27-year-old California woman’s head was found under her car, severed with a sword by her ex-boyfriend in broad daylight; the same week jogger Eliza Fletcher’s body was found after being randomly kidnapped and raped; and the same day deranged Memphis teenager , Ezekiel Kelly, livestreamed his massacre on Facebook – the Obama’s unveiled their portraits at the White House.
The two uttered calm, “mostly peaceful” speeches atop Biden’s wreckage of record inflation, record border crossings, record crime, record racial and political division, and full-blown generalized anxiety over the deliberate torching of America’s load-bearing institutions. The Obamas gave every indication that they have no earthly idea about what’s happening in the real world.
“Joe, it is now America’s good fortune to have you as president,” Obama said in the speech, partly meant to atone for overshadowing Biden on his last visit. “You have guided us through some perilous times. You’ve built on and gone beyond the work we all did together to expand health care, to fight climate change, to advance social justice, and to promote economic fairness.”
And then he said it.
“Thanks to your decency and thanks to your strength, maybe most of all thanks to your faith in our democracy and the American people, the country’s better off than when you took office …”
In what world is that true? A make-believe one, of course.
More than a century after slavery was abolished, over a half century after the end of legal discrimination, and when blacks in America – despite it all – have become the most successful in human history, Barack and Michele Obama remain the king and queen of an enchanted Neverland where the unicorn dreams of “social justice” and “economic fairness” produce a perpetual crop of endless grievances.
But paying homage to progressive policies makes sense when you think that it was Obama, who ran on a platform to “fundamentally change the United States of America,” opened the political can of worms that has, today, made America unrecognizable.
Biden’s catastrophes are the rotten fruit of Obama’s policies.
It was Obama, in 2009, who spent his first 100 days apologizing for America’s sins on three continents. In France he said America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” of Europe. He poetically seethed, in London, that the world’s financial system was created through decisions made by “just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy.” And when asked if he believed in American exceptionalism, he said yes, but in the same way “that Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks in Greek exceptionalism.”
In the end, his confessions diminished America but earned nothing from jealous friends and avowed enemies.
It was Obama who, while in Turkey that same year, said the U.S. no longer believed itself to be a Judeo-Christian nation.
“Although, as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population,” said Obama, “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation.”
It was Obama who repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the military in 2010 and, in 2011, refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage as only between a man and a woman.
After the Supreme Court ruled DOMA unconstitutional in 2013, and in 2015 ruled that the Constitution protects same-sex marriage, it was an unusually giddy Obama who celebrated the decision by lighting up the White House in the colors of the rainbow.
After admitting he didn’t have all the facts, it was Obama who said that the Cambridge police “acted stupidly” in arresting his friend Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., and in 2013, took sides in the highly publicized Trayvon Martin case.
“You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son,” Obama said at a press briefing. “Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.”
After saying that he, like many black males, had been followed while shopping, heard people locking their car doors as he walked down the street, and that he saw a woman clutching her purse “nervously and holding her breath” on an elevator until she got off, Obama said the justice system is racially biased.
“The African-American community is also knowledgeable that there is a history of racial disparities in the application of our criminal laws – everything from the death penalty to enforcement of our drug laws.”
Black Lives Matter was created that same month, a group that Michelle Obama fully supports to this day – after the riots, after the random violence and destruction, and after the Derek Chauvin guilty verdict.
“Many of us still live in fear as we go to the grocery store …” she told Gayle King in a 2021 interview . “Like so many parents of black kids … the innocent act of getting a license puts fear in our hearts. … I mean, all those Black Lives Matter kids, they’d rather not have to worry about this.”
With no more offices to run for, it’s sad to see that the Obamas have become completely irrelevant in the real world as they fully embrace their role as king and queen of perpetual black grievance. Despite the mayhem and death young blacks create in Chicago, New York and Memphis, and no matter how much their own lives contradict the deeply flawed narratives they push, the Obamas strut in the accolades of cheap royalty, with stupid pride.
“For me, this day is not just about what has happened, it’s also about what could happen,” she said at the unveiling. “Because a girl like me, she was never supposed to be up there next to Jacqueline Kennedy and Dolly Madison. She was never supposed to live in this house, and she definitely wasn’t supposed to serve as first lady.”
No Michelle.

During Obama’s presidency, everyone joked that he selected Biden for VP because Biden’s incompetency insured that Obama would never be impeached. Yes, Obama was bad, but Biden would be worse. No Shady Banking Buddy Left Behind
First Lady Michelle Obama's latest overseas jaunt is getting all the headlines. But President Obama's money-grubbing junket to Chicago may cost taxpayers far more in the long run. With his Gaultier-clad wife sashaying around the Spanish seaside, the lonely fundraiser-in-chief returned to Illinois to take care of some birthday-week business. Job One: Filling the Senate campaign coffers of his corruption-tainted political protege Alexi Giannoulias.
Mission accomplished. Obama's Thursday afternoon campaign event for Giannoulias, the beleaguered state treasurer of Illinois, reportedly raked in $1 million. Lagging behind his GOP opponent, liberal Republican Rep. Mark Kirk, Giannoulias has coveted one-on-one, grip-and-grin time with Obama for months. In addition to the cash, photo-ops and video of the Obama fundraising event that Giannoulias will milk from now until Election Day, the White House has dispatched Vice President Joe Biden, White House senior adviser David Axelrod and White House campaign management guru David Plouffe to boost Giannoulias' bid. Plouffe proclaimed Democrats "all in" for Giannoulias, whom he described as "a great progressive champion."
Obama gave his own personal seal of ethical approval,
telling deep-pocketed donors this week: "I appreciate his
strong sense of advocacy for ordinary Americans. You
can trust him -- you can count on him." Uh-huh. And I've

What would Giannoulias know about "ordinary Americans"? Giannoulias, 34, befriended Obama during pickup basketball games with an elite group that also included Michelle Obama's brother, Craig; Chicago edu-crat Arne Duncan (now Education Secretary); and hedge fund manager John Rogers (the ex-husband of the Obamas' ex-White House social secretary, Desiree Rogers). He spread his wealth and influence around early and often to support Obama's fledgling political career. He pitched in $7,000 in 2003-2004 to Obama's Illinois State Senate bids. He hosted fundraisers for Obama's U.S. Senate campaign in 2004 and for his presidential campaign in 2007.
Where'd the cash come from? Giannoulias' Greek immigrant family founded Chicago-based Broadway Bank, a now-defunct financial institution that loaned tens of millions of dollars to convicted mafia felons and faced bankruptcy after decades of engaging in risky, high-flying behavior. It's the place where Obama parked his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign funds. And it's the same place where a mutual friend of Obama and Giannoulias -- convicted Obama fundraiser/slum lord Tony Rezko -- used to bounce nearly $500,000 in bad checks written to Las Vegas casinos. This week, the Chicago Sun-Times revealed an additional $22.75 million Broadway Bank loan to a Rezko-owned business in 2006. Giannoulias held an ownership stake in the bank at the time.
Giannoulias served as Broadway Bank vice president and senior loan officer for four years. According to the Chicago Tribune, during Giannoulias' tenure, some $27 million of Broadway Bank's funny money went to mob crooks Michael "Jaws" Giorango and Demitri Stavropoulos. Giorango is a hustler who fronted a nationwide prostitution ring and was sentenced to six months in prison; Stavropoulos is behind bars for operating a multistate bookmaking ring. Giorango ran the $400-an-hour call girl operation out of high-rise luxury apartments in Chicago with the infamous "Gold Coast Madam," Rose Laws. Giorango and Stavropoulos used their Broadway Bank loans to start their own risky lending business for nontraditional borrowers unable to secure traditional bank financing.
Despite Giorango's criminal record exposed by the Tribune in 2004, Broadway Bank approved massive mortgages for him. Giannoulias' brother, Demetris, explained that as a "relationship bank," Broadway wouldn't just throw someone under the bus because of a "bad article." Instead, the bank went ahead and rubber-stamped a September 2005 loan for $3.4 million to buy a 32-unit Los Angeles apartment complex. The application falsely stated that the borrower, Giorango, had "not been convicted of a felony." Giannoulias oversaw the servicing of such shady loans totaling $11 million. Remember: He was no low-level staffer. He was, as he reminded supporters when he needed to deflect attention away from his youth, top management at Broadway Bank.
In January 2010, the bank entered a consent decree with federal and Illinois state regulators. It required Broadway Bank "to raise tens of millions in capital, stop paying dividends to the family without regulatory approval, and hire an outside party to evaluate the bank's senior management." The city's former inspector general blasted Giannoulias and his family for tapping $70 million worth of dividends in 2007 and 2008 as the real estate crash loomed. Broadway Bank was sitting on an estimated $250 million in bad loans. In late April, federal regulators shut it down. Cost to taxpayers: an estimated $390 million. Giannoulias refused to drop out of the race -- and instead used the company failure to argue that it made him (SET ITAL) more (END ITAL) qualified to serve in office: "I have a renewed vigor and a new perspective on just how horrible it is out there for so many people."

Our betters in the MSM, and related ruling-class mouthpieces, have set the narrative: the lackluster, too-crazy pack of Democrat presidential candidates, even with a few token billionaires, will ultimately give way to the entry of Michelle Obama into the race. The former First Lady, author of an apparently best-selling memoir, will inject palpable blue energy throughout the nation, return black America to a 95+% Democrat voting bloc, consolidate the Obama voting coalitions that won two presidential elections, and the evil interloper Trump will be sent packing.
Don’t buy this narrative.
In a country of 320+ million people, there is always a sizable segment who will not be willing or able to discern or question anything beyond what they are told by the MSM, and will follow the narrative. That segment is actually becoming smaller every year; the reality of fake news has diluted the MSM’s influence to a far greater degree than they understand. But that’s not why I’m not buying the narrative.
Here’s why:
‘Obama’ is how we got Trump . For all the gigabytes devoted to explaining how Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, the simplest two-word explanation has always been: Barack Obama.
Most Americans never agreed with the radical left-wing policies that President Obama instituted, nor did they appreciate his subtle, persistent denigration of America’s character, identity and place in the world. But Americans did salute to the notion that we should be especially careful not to criticize America’s first black President.
In short, the absence of strong criticism of President Obama and his policies was not due to their popularity, but rather due to a surrender to the political reality enforced in great degree by the MSM that any such criticism would be labeled as racist. His policies and view of America were in fact alarming to many Americans, who silently bided their time until he was out of office.
The truth is that Barack Obama was and is a radical leftist ideologue who in his own words sought to fundamentally transform America. A few observers saw this agenda from the beginning of Obama’s appearance on the national scene, but they were voices in a wilderness dominated by a sycophantic media. The American people never supported a fundamental transformation of their country -- in leftist terms, a shredding of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage in favor of a godless, George Soros-vision of an Open Society, directed and controlled by almighty secular government -- and the more they understood the truth of who Obama was and what he was trying to do, the angrier and more resentful they became .
Donald Trump was the anti-Obama for one simple reason: he loves America.
And so…the “Michelle Obama riding on the residual goodwill of the Obama name!” campaign narrative, doesn’t resonate.
‘Blexit’ is real . Candace Owens deserves tremendous credit for branding and building the “Blexit” movement, and for devoting her amazing intelligence and energy to its articulate messages. Yet well before Blexit was a thing, Donald Trump planted the seed with black Americans when he said in August 2016: “ What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump ?”
Three-plus years later, with black unemployment the lowest in recorded history, polls that show roughly a third of likely voting black Americans supporting President Trump are not an accident or a fluke. (And they may just mark the floor of his support in 2020.) They reflect conscious recognition among black Americans of simple truths: black lives generally did not get better under eight years of Obama; black lives generally have gotten much better under less than three years of President Trump.
And so…the “Michelle Obama will bring back the good old days of black prosperity!” campaign narrative falls flat.
Barack Obama is the elephant in the room re Barr/Durham . Of all the names that engaged Americans associate with the Russia Collusion hoax -- Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Ohr, Rosenstein, Simpson, Steele, etc. -- there is one that is going to loom larger and larger in public thought as the Horowitz IG report and Barr/Durham followup becomes public: Barack Obama.
Our own guess is that when the truth finally comes out , Americans across the political spectrum will be stunned at the level of criminality and corruption in the Obama administration. It will shock the collective conscience of the nation that all of this was directed to brazenly and arrogantly overturning the will of the American people for the ugly but simple reason that Donald Trump was an outsider who threatened the Obama/leftist/globalist hold on power.
If the Horowitz report and Barr/Durham follow-up reveals, as seems increasingly likely, the deliberate and nefarious concoction of the Russia Collusion Hoax by leaders in the CIA, FBI, and DoJ, the vast majority of Americans, including millions who have historically identified themselves politically as Democrats, will be fiercely offended at this historic, unconscionable abuse. And who is at the top of all the plotting and scheming and lying and weaponization of government against the will of the people? Barack Obama.
And so…the ”Michelle Obama will bring back the days of the scandal-free Obama administration!” campaign narrative reeks.
Michelle’s heart isn’t in it… and may not be a happy heart anyway . Mrs. Obama is on record saying she has no interest in running, and of course, those words by themselves mean nothing as to whether she will enter the race. But we think they do signal that at her core, her heart is not in it. And ‘it’ refers to the pressure, the nastiness, the unrelenting spotlight, the every-word-and-every-smirk-on-video scrutiny of an American presidential race.
Michelle Obama’s eight years in a soft, adulatory spotlight as First Lady are not the same as the brass tacks rough-and-tumble of a presidential campaign. And even if the MSM did everything in its power to shield her (and it surely would), the MSM is not the gatekeeper it once was. Plus, winners tend to be happy warriors. There has always seemed to be an undercurrent of anger in Michelle Obama’s countenance, and if it ever flared on the campaign trail, she could quickly find herself in a big hole. Anger doesn’t win elections.
Michelle Obama may or may not get into the race; it’s probably a 50/50 proposition at this point. And if she does get in, she’ll have access to the best messaging talent the left can buy. So she’d make waves for a while. But soon enough, the reality of Barack Obama’s un popularity, the reality of the criminal abuse by his administration in trying to frame and otherwise take down President Trump, and the reality of a booming economy helping all Americans, would take the air out of her balloon. “Bring Back Barack” is not a winning campaign theme. And if a tweet or two happened to get under her skin, the result could be ugly.
“Michelle Obama for President” is not inevitable or invincible.

Holding the open-borders Democrats accountable.
The U.S. is currently in the midst of a serious border crisis since Joe Biden took over.
More than 1.7 million migrant encounters occurred in FY 2021, and more than 2 million in FY 2022. The actual number of individuals who managed to cross the border and are inside the U.S. has to be considerably higher.
So what usually occurs after these migrants are apprehended?
The Biden administration transports these migrants , including the underaged migrants, via night flights, from Texas to New York, late at night.
So what happens after they land?
The New York Post reported that the migrants are then bussed to various other states or cities such as New Jersey or Philadelphia. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that these migrants are dropped into swing states.
None of this is reported by the mainstream news media, obviously.
The migrants are resettled into working-class neighborhoods of these states.
Any locality has facilities and resources that are directly proportional to the number of residents, i.e., citizens, living there.
What happens when migrants inundate these localities?
They occupy parks, pavements, and other free spaces, and once again the citizens whose tax money funds the construction and maintenance of these places, suffers.
When the sanitation and waste management facilities are overwhelmed, it results in the surroundings becoming unhygienic, which will become a health hazard causing the spread of diseases.
If the migrants have highly contagious infections such as COVID-19, Monkeypox, tuberculosis, measles, leishmanosis, or any other infectious diseases, once again the citizen suffers, first in the risk of being infected, and second as health facilities meant for citizens are overwhelmed, causing them to have no option but to ignore citizens.

Beyond these issues, the impact of uncontrolled migration is cultural, which can hardly be gauged because the change is gradual.
The migrants may originate from cultures that have anachronistic values and practices from what is found in the U.S. Instead of adapting to their surroundings, quite a few expect everyone else to adapt to their values. Among other things, their refusal to conform results in ‘honor' killings, incestuous marriages, child marriages, foot baths, and 'press 1 for English.’
In addition to the violence and regressive practices, culture and values are the core identity of a nation and a locality that sees its erosion will soon be a lost community.
This uncontrolled influx is a long-term project of the Democrats – to inundate swing states with these migrants who, they think, will be Democrat voters. The hope is this new Democrat voter base will overwhelm the impact of existing Republican voters.
Soon elections are rendered meaningless.
The Democrats have successfully implemented this in states such as New York and California, where even a potted plant, or worse, the likes of AOC, with the letter ‘D’ after its name, is certain to win elections. In California, there are districts so packed with illegal aliens that voter turnout only amounts to about 10% of the number of people present to create the district. These are known as "dead" zones and Democrats know all about them. Large numbers of illegal immigrants also pad congressional seats for Democrats so that even if the illegals do not vote, their presence makes Democrat congressional seats possible that wouldn't otherwise be there. The contests in these states with these arrangements are not between left and right, but left, far left, and socialists.
This open border isn’t due to Biden’s misgovernance, this is an intentional and malicious act to ensure a permanence of power, both nationally, and in key states.
The Democratic leaders who support open borders never suffer the consequences of the policies they advocate.
They live in affluent localities. Their properties are surrounded by imposing walls. They also have armed bodyguards. The migrants will not be allowed even near these localities, except as maids and gardeners.
That changed in April, when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott led a unique practical experiment by transporting immigrants on a voluntary basis to "sanctuary" states run by open borders advocates. The goal was to make them accept the consequences of their words and actions.
These migrants were transported to cities such as New York, Chicago, and Washington. Some were even dropped outside the Washington D.C. home of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden's border czar who had just advised the country that the border was "secure."
The governor of Arizona also followed this move, as so did Florida's Gov. Ron DeSantis, who flew some 50 migrants in to tony Martha’s Vineyard.
As expected, the migrants haven’t been welcomed with open arms. The mayors of the cities have complained and attacked Republican governors while the wealthy liberals of Martha’s Vineyard haven’t actually opened their homes to the migrants they claim to love. Some authorities have called the National Guard.
In doing this, the governors have revealed the Democrats to be hypocrites and elitists.
But we already knew that.
So what happens next?
Doubtlessly, at least some of these migrants will be transported to detention centers away from the local mansions where they will then be re-released back to swing or Republican states.
If there has to be any long-term impact from this amusing exercise, all GOP governors much join in and keep dispatching migrants, to liberal states for as long as they can.
In time, the Democrats may block the busses at their city borders and prevent migrants from disembarking from planes.
It will be chaotic.
The only hope is that the chaos will cause local authorities compel the upper echelons of the Democrat party to fix the borders.
But the exercise in holding the open-border proponents accountable must not stop here.
When the GOP wins back the House and the Senate, they must author a bill that does the following:
Mandates the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to resume construction of a border barrier wall along the U.S.-Mexico border that President Trump began. Mandates DHS to deploy tactical infrastructure and technology across all borders beginning with the southern border. Mandates U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to increase the number of border security agents and officers. Now for the most crucial aspect of all this, the funding:
Yes, the taxpayers will be paying.
But the bill must have any or ideally both of the following clauses:
Mandate the transportation of migrants to liberal states whose governors, senators, representatives, and mayors advocate open borders. All lawmakers who do not vote for the bill, i.e., who advocate open borders, must be compelled to pay an additional tax to fund infrastructure in these liberal cities that will accommodate the newly arrived migrants. In addition to accommodation, these lawmakers must also contribute to funds for law enforcement, hospitals, and schools for migrants. This tax must not be restricted to lawmakers, but also to governors, mayors, and presidents who are proponents of open borders. This will be an ideal way for the Democrats to show they really care for the migrants.
The Democrats will have two choices, either vote for border security and pay nothing, or not vote for border security and fund the costs of migrants.
Let’s see how they vote.
Will a bill such as this ever be authored?
Very unlikely.
But one sincerely hopes some among the lawmakers at least try.
Leaked audio of leading Democratic Party politicians in Los Angeles, California, making racist statements about African Americans, indigenous people, Armenians and Jewish people has generated widespread popular anger in America’s second largest city and thrown the political establishment into crisis.
The Democratic Party, desperate to contain social opposition, has responded with well-rehearsed posturing of moral outrage and the usual shopworn calls for the exemplary punishment of individual malefactors. But far from being a case of a few bad actors, the incident exposes both the reactionary character of the racialist political strategy of the Democratic Party and the rottenness of American capitalist politics as a whole.
On October 9, an individual anonymously posted audio of a conversation held last fall between the head of the Los Angeles County AFL-CIO, Ron Herrera, and three Democratic members of the Los Angeles City Council: Council President Nury Martinez, Kevin de León and Gil Cedillo.
The conversation took place at the county headquarters of the AFL-CIO during a meeting to discuss “redistricting,” the process by which the politicians representing the city’s elite carve the population into racial enclaves and distribute the spoils of government power.
Employing the crass language of racial tribalism, Nury Martinez referred to the black child of a rival City Council member as a “changuito ,” the Spanish term for “little monkey.” Saying the child “needs a beatdown,” she added, “Let me take him around the corner.” She attacked former Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón for being “for the blacks.”
In a discussion related to which faction of the local elite should control the area around Koreatown, Martinez (2020 salary = $207,000) mocked the area’s indigenous immigrants, who are impoverished, often undocumented and come from the southwestern Mexican state of Oaxaca, as “short little dark people” without shoes. These comments expose the Latino bourgeois politicians in the Democratic Party as hostile to the defense of immigrants’ rights.
The stench of racism and chauvinist reaction hangs over all the parties of capitalism. In Pennsylvania, Republican candidate for governor Doug Mastriano denounced Jewish schools in an openly anti-Semitic attack on his Democratic opponent, who is Jewish. Racialism and nationalism are intrinsic to bourgeois politics. In every country, the ruling class perceives and explains the world in racial terms and aims to maintain its domination by fomenting antagonisms within the international working class.
In the Los Angeles audio, City Council President Martinez disparaged “the white members of this Council” and noted with striking eloquence that they “will motherfuck you in a heartbeat.” The Council members describe other individuals by the color of their skin (example: “Was she a black lady?”). Herrera states proudly that the meeting participants are forming “a little Latino caucus of our own.”
During the same meeting, AFL-CIO head Herrera referred to Jewish state Assemblyman Richard Katz as “Katz and his crew,” stating obliquely that they “have an agenda.” Martinez responded affirmatively, saying the judÃos —the Jews— “cut their deal with South LA” and “are going to screw everyone else.”
Martinez also referred to an Armenian City Council member, saying, “He also wants his guy elected. … They want to assure, they want to be reassured that they have, not an Armenian district in the Valley, because that doesn’t exist, but they want as many Armenians in that district as possible to be able to play.” Gil Cedillo then remarked that all Armenians have last names that “end in i-a-n.”
This is not a case of a few minor players in local politics. The four people captured on the audio are leaders of the Democratic Party in the largest state in the country. Martinez has been floated as a possible future mayor. Cedillo is a former state senator, and De León is former president pro-temp of the state Senate, who ran for the US Senate in 2018.
Before becoming head of the county AFL-CIO, Herrera (2019 salary = $149,627) was head of the Teamsters at the Port of Los Angeles. In January of this year, Herrera appeared with Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg at the port and pledged to enforce a speedup to ease port congestion.
On Tuesday, hundreds of protesters of all races, including many Latinos with signs saying “fuera Martinez!”, broke up a meeting of the City Council and demanded the resignation of the three Council members. Herrera resigned as head of the LA County Federation of Labor Tuesday. On Wednesday, protesters again filled the Council chambers and prevented the Council from reconvening. On Wednesday afternoon, Martinez announced her resignation from the City Council.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that Biden viewed the racist remarks as “unacceptable” and “appalling.” Biden himself, however, has a long history of racist remarks. In 2007 he referred to Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean.” In 2006 he said “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.” In 1977 he said desegregated schools would force white children to “grow up in a racial jungle.”
The Biden administration’s real concern is that the crisis may impact next month’s midterm elections or undermine his administration’s efforts to escalate the war against Russia in Ukraine. Biden will be in Los Angeles for a fundraiser with Nancy Pelosi Thursday and is expected to deliver remarks on the matter.
For all the self-righteous denunciations coming from the Democratic Party and its media apparatus, the language used by the City Council members is the political language of the party itself. The Democratic Party is a filthy miasma of racial resentment on all sides, and the leaked audio reflects this reality.
For the last 50 years, the Democratic Party has abandoned any past association with social reform and has instead promoted racial politics as a mechanism both for cultivating support in the affluent upper middle class and for dividing the working class.
In the aftermath of the urban rebellions that shook the country in the 1960s—including the 1965 riot in Watts, which Democratic Governor Pat Brown suppressed with 14,000 National Guard troops—the Democratic Party sought to develop a base of support within the elite of various racial groups. A Democratic Party commission in 1972 (the McGovern-Kerner Commission) restructured party primaries and internal organization to minimize the role of the labor movement and elevate the importance of caucus groups based on race and gender identity.
In the subsequent decades, as identity politics came to dominate the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party became the dominant party in Los Angeles. An influx of immigrants from all over the world turned Los Angeles into one of the most diverse and international cities in history, with a powerful working class closely linked by the process of production to workers in Latin America and Asia. The Democrats engaged in an identity-based strategy of divide-and-rule, cultivating black nationalism, Chicano nationalism and other forms of identity politics as a method of rule while cutting social programs and taxes on the rich.
This strategy became more deeply embedded after the 1992 riot, when anger erupted across the city over the acquittal of police responsible for brutally beating Rodney King. In the 1990s, as the Democratic administration of President Bill Clinton “ended welfare as we know it,” Democratic city politicians increasingly presented themselves as representatives of various racial groups fighting over ever-shrinking funding for social programs.
The audio of the meeting makes clear that identity politics has nothing to do with improving the conditions of workers. It is about weaponizing identity to enrich the affluent upper middle class. The Los Angeles Democrats’ racist comments took place in the context of proposing ways to use racial identity to win patronage over government contracts and secure domination of various union locals so as to gain access to dues money and staffing positions.
It is not accidental that the racist conversation included the head of the county AFL-CIO, and it took place at its headquarters. Over the same period that the Democratic Party has made identity politics the axis of its operations, the trade unions have overseen massive losses in jobs and wages on behalf of American corporations, blaming foreign workers and promoting nationalism. De Leon and Cedillo were both longtime union bureaucrats before running for office, De Leon with the California Teachers Association and Cedillo with the Service Employees International Union.
Two of the figures exposed in the audio have close ties to the pseudo-left, which has long promoted nationalism and identity politics within the Democratic Party. In the audio, Cedillo talks about his former membership in the Stalinist Communist Party USA alongside previous Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. De Leon, for his part, spoke at a DSA-Los Angeles event in 2017. The Ventura County DSA hosted a “meet the candidate” event in 2018 to promote de Leon’s run for the US Senate.
Though the leaked audio exposes the racism of leading Latino Democrats, the Democratic Party is steeped in racialist politics. African American Democrat Stacey Abrams declared in 2018 that there are “inherent racial differences.” The New York Times’ 1619 Project is devoted to a racialist reinterpretation of history, presenting the past as well as the present as characterized by irreconcilable racial conflict.
The audio proves the Democrats’ racial politics and the open racism of the increasingly fascist Republican Party are only two sides of the same coin. Reading the transcript of the Los Angeles Democrats’ conversation on redistricting, one would hardly know that the slurs and jokes did not come out of the mouth of Trump himself.
Identity politics has greatly enriched the wealthiest minority of each racial group, but it has been a disaster for the working class of all races and nationalities. Nowhere is this truer than Los Angeles, where there are over 50 billionaires and 70,000 homeless people, where the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is $2,800 and gas costs $6 a gallon, where public transit is in shambles and 96,000 Angelenos have died of the coronavirus. Masses of undocumented immigrants confront daily the threat of deportation.
The depraved incident shows that racial and identity politics have nothing to do with the interests of the working class. A powerful movement of the global working class is emerging across every continent, and the task of socialists is to unite the working class across all racial, national, gender and ethnic lines into one movement for social equality. This means turning to class politics based on the real, economic divisions in society. It means waging a ruthless struggle against identity politics in all forms.
