Walmart’s supply chain is far more chaotic than most people can imagine. Not even the world’s largest retailer is immune to the shortages and disruptions that have been plaguing U.S. businesses in recent years. But given its market dominance and its vast network of suppliers, the fact that empty shelves can still be seen across many of its stores is quite alarming, especially at a time when pretty much everyone in the industry is saying that food supplies are going to get increasingly tighter in the months ahead. Even though its executives say that the company is actually overloaded with too much stuff, shoppers tell a different story. Many customers have recently reported on social media what they’re seeing every time they go grocery shopping at Walmart: plenty of stock outages, bare aisles, and scattered merchandise all around the superstore. The company’s latest woes might be a hint of what the entire sector will be facing soon, and if that’s really the case, we all should start worrying.
With the holidays approaching, Walmart continues to be a one-stop-shop for many people, suiting customers’ needs for clothing, appliances, entertainment devices, and groceries. However, in many recent Reddit threads, shoppers have been voicing concerns over growing food shortages in their Walmart stores, especially for frozen goods, fresh produce, meats, and more recently, several people reported they can’t find chicken anymore at the store. Countless commenters noted that their local Walmarts had either run out of chicken or were about to.
Perhaps due to the scale of its sales volume, Walmart is being the first major retailer to experience the impact of the bird flu pandemic on its food supply chain. One commenter asked, “are people hoarding or is there a production shortage?”
In an e-mail sent to Thrillist, the company confirmed that there is a chicken shortage in their U.S. stores, but they noted that Walmart is not the only one facing it. A representative for the retailer wrote: “This is not just an issue isolated to Walmart, it is affecting every chain—it’s an industry issue,” he said,
The imbalances in Walmart’s supply chain will take several quarters to be sorted out, says President Doug McMillon. In September, he said that supply chain problems and inventory shortages are as stark as he can remember in his 30 years in retail. Moreover, McMillon noted that 2022 supply chain costs were more than $400 million higher than anticipated. The company also took a $1 billion hit on its operating income, and now executives are scrambling to stabilize the business.
The deeper we look, the more Walmart’s issues rise to the surface. And if the retail giant is in trouble, that means everyone else is also experiencing volatility in the supply chain. These trends will continue to accelerate in the near future. And many other retailers will be facing similar challenges or worse. And as consumers deal with the impact of higher prices, retailer continue to see their sales dropping, and those that are on edge may fall off of it way before people notice.

Biden Boasts That Gas Cost ‘Over $5 When I Took Office’ – It Was Actually Only $2.39 a Gallon
President Joe Biden claimed Thursday that gas prices were “over five dollars” a gallon when he took office – but, they were actually well under three dollars a gallon.
Biden made the boast during remarks at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York:
“[B]ecause of the actions we’ve taken, gas prices are declining. We’re down $1.25 since the peak this summer, and they’ve been falling for the last three weeks at well — as well. That’s adding up to real savings for families.
“Today, the most common price of gas in America is $3.39 — down from over $5 when I took office.”
But, according to AAA, the national average cost of a gallon of Regular gas was $2.393 on January 20, 2021, the day Biden was inaugurated. On Thursday, when Biden made the claim, the AAA average was $3.760 a gallon, not "$3.39."
As Fox Business reports, it wasn’t until well over a year into Biden’s presidency that gas hit five dollars a gallon:
“However, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the week ending Jan. 25, 2021, shortly after Biden took office, was $2.39, according to data from the Energy Information Administration. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline didn't hit $5 until June 2022, which is well over a year after Biden took office.”
On June 4 of this year, Fox Business reported that gas prices had doubled since Biden took office.

Is that not what the Democrat Party has created right here n America, transforming a once prosperous, strong, united, and safe nation into a debt-laden, militarily weak, socially divided, and increasingly dangerous society? Here are some of the Bizarro policies and beliefs inflicted on us by the neo-socialist, globalist, anti-American Democrat Party over the past few decades — PAUL E. SCATS
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers (war profiteer, Sen. Dianne Feinstein was first to endorse Biden's run for the White House for obvious reasons) driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are hostile to people of faith and spirituality, demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war. President Joe Biden misspoke during a speech in Florida on Tuesday, speaking about the ongoing “war in Iraq” and also claimed it was where his son died.
“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq and the impact on oil and what Russia’s doing, excuse me, the war in Ukraine,” Biden said.
“I’m thinking of Iraq because that’s where my son died,” he added, as an excuse for the verbal slip.
Although Beau Biden served in Iraq, he did not die there. He died in 2015 at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Maryland after fighting brain cancer, six years after he served in Iraq. He was 46.
Biden frequently blames the burn pits in Iraq for causing his son’s brain cancer.

The president also made this claim in October, during a speech in Colorado.
“I say this as a father of a man and won the Bronze Star, the conspicuous service medal, and lost his life in Iraq,” he said.
Biden commented on inflation and the war in Ukraine during a speech about the future of government programs such as Social Security and Medicare in Florida.
“A senator from Florida going after Medicare and Social Security!?” he asked, referring to Republican Sen. Rick Scott. “Who the hell do they think they are?”
Republicans deny any plans to cut Social Security or Medicare, but Biden has repeatedly utilized the familiar Democrat attack before the midterm elections.
The president also said the cost of groceries is high “because Putin cuttin’ off grain supplies.”
Biden spent most of his speech accusing Republicans of trying to cut or eliminate the two programs, insisting they planned to shut down the government if the president refused to cut or eliminate thre programs.
He spent most of his speech expressing anger toward Republicans and concluded his speech with a final dig at his political opponents.
“God bless you all. God protect our troops and God give our Republican friends some enlightenment,” he said.
