A Year Later, DHS STILL Won’t Come Clean About Its Disinformation Board
The Biden regime’s abortive Disinformation Governance Board was a sinister initiative from the beginning. The board’s chief public proponents, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the board’s head, Nina Jankowicz, set off alarm bells when they were never entirely forthright or clear about what the board intended to do. Even now, long after the whole thing went sideways on them when they discovered, to their dismay, that many Americans still valued the freedom of speech, they’re trying to cover their tracks.
The patriotic group Citizens United recently submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for emails between Jankowicz and her staff, but what the group received was so heavily redacted as to be virtually useless. And so the question must be asked: what, at this late date, do Mayorkas, Jankowicz, and their henchmen have to hide?
Just the News reported last week that back when the existence of the Disinformation Governance Board first became public knowledge, Mayorkas was full of bland reassurances, insisting that there was “nothing sinister to hide” and claiming that the Orwellian and authoritarian board was actually based upon “best practices.” But you will no doubt be shocked — shocked! — to learn that this hasn’t actually turned out to be true. Just the News adds that “a year later, Mayorkas’ department is refusing to let Americans see most of the legal justifications and talking points it created to defend the now-disbanded board from ‘blowback,’ FOIA documents showed.”
Citizens United received over 100 pages of Jankowicz’s internal communications with her staff, but most of it was just blank white boxes. “What little is visible makes clear that DHS underestimated the negative reaction the board would provoke and was scrambling to find ways to keep the story from being pushed by ‘hostile’ news outlets.” This is understandable. These people live inside the Beltway, and inside the Beltway, nearly everyone hates the freedom of speech. These little authoritarians had no idea how poorly their act would play outside their echo chamber.
On April 27, 2022, Jankowicz warned her staff: “This afternoon I did start receiving a fair amount of blowback (accusing DHS of being the ‘Ministry of Truth’ etc., lots honing in on ‘Russia’ in the Politico blurb) and some abuse (which I expected and I’m used to).” Used to harsh criticism? Really? Yet earlier this month she claimed that the right-wing fiends at Fox News “made over 500 scaremongering statements about my role, my views, and my personal life,” causing her to be inundated with death threats and upsetting her to the extent that she has not been able to establish the proper relationship with her newborn.
Before Fox supposedly ruined her life, however, she was busy dodging questions about what the board would actually do. “Some of the communications,” Just the News noted, “show the board’s responses to direct questions posed in a letter from Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), such as what language in the Constitution allows DHS to create such a board and hire staff for it. Other questions included which parts of DHS would be ‘responsible for monitoring and collecting data’ on misinformation and what ‘specific actions’ DHS intended to take to ‘counter misinformation.’” But don’t expect any clarity: “Each answer was redacted by the department.” What a surprise.
Citizens United President David Bossie remarked: “Joe Biden’s Orwellian Disinformation Governance Board (‘DGB’) is just the latest example of the left’s push to weaponize the massive powers of the federal government for political purposes. Whether it’s the Justice Department, the IRS, or the Department of Homeland Security, the Biden Administration is laser focused on targeting, silencing, and censoring Americans who do not agree with their radical agenda.” As much as Americans may not believe this could be happening here, Bossie is right.
Just in the last few days, we have seen the ATF and the IRS move to target critics of the regime. We have seen the FBI pause from its efforts to frame the former president and Republican front-runner for 2024 long enough to label parents “domestic terrorists” for daring to protest at school board meetings against the far-Left agenda being pushed on their children in primary schools.
We have seen the putative president in a positively insouciant mood after a horrific mass murder in Nashville, apparently because he saw how the massacre could be used to advance his desire to disarm law-abiding Americans. The ongoing secrecy surrounding the Disinformation Governance Board, even a year after this ominous initiative was abandoned, only highlights the fact that this regime has goals that should be a matter of grave concern to every free citizen.

Biden Regime Even Wanted to Censor PRIVATE Text Messages
The Biden regime has already abundantly established that it has no patience for dissent. The Twitter Files show regime lackeys pressuring Twitter, along with other social media giants, to silence people who dared question, among other things, its COVID-19 narrative — yes, the one that has been shown to have been full of holes all along. But as is so often the case these days, it gets worse. Now it has come to light that the Biden White House actually pressured Meta to censor private WhatsApp texts that dared to express disagreement from the regime’s line. Yes, private texts.
This is not some crazy “far right” conspiracy theory (many of which have turned out to be true, anyway). It comes from investigative journalist David Zweig, whose Leftist bona fides are impeccable: he has written for The Atlantic, New York magazine, and Wired, among others. Despite this background, Zweig has had the integrity to reveal that the Biden regime is even more obsessed with crushing dissenting voices than we had previously known, and rivals even Stalin and Mao in its determination to allow only the approved line to be aired.
Zweig “gained access to emails between White House staffers and Meta executives about WhatsApp that underlie this investigative report. The emails were obtained through discovery in Missouri v Biden, a first amendment case brought by two attorneys general, and New Civil Liberties Alliance (a nonprofit public interest law firm) on behalf of private plaintiffs.” These emails demonstrate that less than a week after taking power, Biden’s handlers began talks with Meta executives regarding “content moderation.” That was when things took a dark turn.
Zweig notes that “of specific concern was vaccine hesitancy and how Meta would combat this across its multiple platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.” That much was to be expected, given what we already know about how Old Joe’s henchmen worked to censor dissidents on Twitter. But regime wonks made “repeated queries about another Meta property, WhatsApp, a service designed for private messaging.” Almost all of WhatsApp’s users make use of the platform for just that — private messages with one other person. Zweig says that “according to Meta, 90% of WhatsApp messages are from one person to another,” and while the app does have a group option, “groups typically have fewer than 10 people.” Yet Biden’s handlers wanted to censor disagreement even on WhatsApp.
One of the chief Stalinists, Rob Flaherty, the Biden White House’s Director of Digital Strategy, sent “multiple emails” to Meta top dogs, demanding they “tell him what interventions the company had taken on WhatsApp.” He “wanted to know what they were doing to reduce harm on the messaging app.” On March 22, 2021, this tinhorn authoritarian demanded specific information about how Meta was deep-sixing dissident WhatsApp messages: “I’m confused about how you’re measuring reduction of harm.” Apparently referring to WhatsApp’s pledge of privacy to its users, he added, “If you can’t see the message, I’m genuinely curious—how do you know what kinds of messages you’ve cut down on? Assuming you’ve got a good mousetrap here, that’s the kind of info we’re looking for above: what interventions you’ve taken, and what you’ve found to work and not work?” Mousetrap? Did the Biden regime expect WhatsApp to set out some kind of bait in order to trap dissidents?
Because of the difficulty of isolating individual dissenting texts, the objective quickly became one of propaganda rather than censorship. Zweig states that “because of WhatsApp’s structure, targeted suppression or censorship of certain information did not appear possible. Instead, much of the aim of the content moderation on WhatsApp, therefore, was to ‘push’ information to users.” WhatsApp users were inundated with agitprop from the WHO, UNICEF, and “more than 100 governments and health ministries.” Flaherty, however, wasn’t satisfied with this, and continued to push for more. When “a Meta employee responded to Flaherty’s questions, explaining that WhatsApp is for private messaging,” Flaherty “replied that he was ‘very aware’ and added a smiley face.”
The primary tool that the app had to suppress dissent, however, was simply to limit the ability to forward messages. But Flaherty was still unhappy, writing Meta honchos, “I care mostly about what actions and changes you’re making to ensure you’re not making our country’s vaccine hesitancy problem worse. I still don’t have a good, empirical answer on how effective you’ve been at reducing the spread of vaccine-skeptical content and misinformation to vaccine fence sitters.”
Remember, he was writing this about a private messaging service. How long before the Biden regime starts hiring people to read your personal texts and censor those that contain what it considers to be “misinformation”? That idea might not be as fanciful, or that day as far off, as we would like to think.
“Protect and enrich.” This is a perfect encapsulation of the Clinton Foundation and the Obama book and television deals. Then there is the Biden family corruption, followed closely behind by similar abuses of power and office by the Warren and Sanders families, as Peter Schweizer described in his recent book “Profiles in Corruption.” These names just scratch the surface of government corruption.
Authoritarian States ‘Want to Control People’ by Censoring Internet: ICANN

Authoritarian governments across the world are looking to censor the Internet in order to “control people”, a senior official from ICANN has said.
David Huberman, a senior official within the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), has accused authoritarian governments across the globe of looking to fracture the Internet in the hopes of controlling people.
Legally registered as an NGO, ICANN is responsible for making the international system of IP addresses function correctly, with the organisation describing itself as being “dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable”.
Those within the organisation are now claiming that authoritarian governments are starting to get in the way of this goal, with Huberman telling the Cloudfest industry meeting in Germany that some states now aim to cut up the Internet in order to better control their populations.
“The potential fragmentation of the Internet is a worrying topic,” Der Spiegelreports the expert as saying, before discussing the impact that such governments could have on the Internet.
“They are authoritarian governments that want to control their people,” he said.
Although Huberman did not name any individual nation-states in particular as being involved in this effort to undermine the net, the report published by Der Spiegel goes on to name China, Iran, and Russia as being the three countries tech experts are primarily focused on.
However, many governments in the West are also now jumping on the bandwagon of splitting off and censoring the Internet, with authorities in the United Kingdom and European Union in particular now regularly taking potshots at the free transmission of information online.
Authorities in Brussels have so far been the most active in forcing Internet censorship on the people, blocking its citizens from accessing a number of Russian news outlets online in March last year.
Such material can now only be accessed by those residing within the bloc through use of a virtual private network (VPN), similar to how those living within Communist China must use such services to access many Western websites and media outlets.
Politicians in the United Kingdom appear to be just as keen on implementing widespread Internet censorship, with the country’s planned Online Safety Bill set to hand regulators widespread powers to force social media firms to censor content deemed to problematic.
As of the time of writing, such targets of censorship will range from already highly illegal content such as child pornography to perfectly legal material that simply upsets the progressive sensibilities of those ruling Britain.
The planned censorship regime has been widely panned by various tech firms as being set to end Internet privacy in the UK, with the bill set to render end-to-end encryption effectively illegal by mandating chat apps spy on their userbase using AI to make sure they are not doing anything illegal.
Multiple apps, including Signal and WhatsApp, have now threatened that they will withdraw their services entirely from the country should the bill become law, saying that the measures would completely compromise security and privacy on their platforms.
I never thought I’d be thanking an ex-Democrat former congresswoman and presidential candidate for telling the truth, exposing the evil Democrat agenda and saving the GOP. But former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard just broke the mold.
Tulsi, we all love and appreciate you. You are our hero. You may have changed the midterms. You may have just saved America!

You just exposed the purposeful Democrat plan to destroy this country. Remarkably, you said it louder and with more truth than 99% of Republican officeholders and 99% of Republican candidates in this election.
Gabbard’s exit statement in leaving the Democrat Party sounded like I wrote it. It was word for word everything I’ve said on my national radio show, two national television shows and podcast for years. Word for word.
We finally have a true Democrat insider who has witnessed and exposed the evil of the Democrat Party.
Gabbard didn’t just say something short, sweet and meaningless, like “I’m not leaving the Democrat Party; the party left me.” She stuck a sword through their heart like a hero killing a monster. She destroyed the Democrat Party like no former Democrat officeholder has in history. She explained in detail their radical agenda.
Gabbard’s exit speech read like a Donald Trump or Wayne Allyn Root stump speech. She called Democrats an elitist cabal.
She admitted they have weaponized the government against conservatives.
She blames Democrats for wanting to kill free speech and send their political opponents to prison.
She reported Democrats are anti-white — in other words, she admitted Democrats are racists who hate white people.
She said Democrats are hostile to people of faith — and want to take away our God-given freedoms.
She admitted Democrats have purposely opened the borders to destroy America.
She reported Democrats hate and demonize the police and openly protect and support criminals.
She said Democrats are a cabal of warmongers intent on starting World War III and bringing us purposely to the brink of nuclear war.
She said Democrats don’t believe in government of, by and for the people, but rather a government of, by and for the powerful elite.
She warned of the woke direction these radical, extreme idealogues are taking our country.
And then she added in a media interview that Democrats are ushering in the “normalization of pedophilia.”
All true. But… WOW. My jaw is on the floor. No former high-level Democrat official has ever said these words in history.
I’ve reported and warned about every one of these threats to our country for many years. So, what’s the significance of Gabbard saying these same things?
No. 1: She is the first Democrat congresswoman and former Democrat presidential candidate to ever admit any of this. That’s credibility.
No. 2: She is giving an “insider” account of what is happening in the Democrat Party at the highest levels. She is a witness. She proves what I’ve always warned: These are not mistakes, ignorance or incompetence. This is all a purposeful, planned, coordinated, radical, extreme, communist, globalist, fascist attack on America.
No. 3: Her words should embolden moderate and RINO Republicans to tell the truth about how bad this attack on America really is — 99% of Republican candidates have never gone this far, never used words like this. They are cowards, scared of their own shadows. They’re worried about what the media would say about them. Hopefully Gabbard’s words will embolden (or shame) them to start telling the raw truth about what what’s really happening to America. Gabbard gives them cover.
No. 4: Gabbard’s brave words and action could inspire moderate, non-insane Democrats like Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona to leave the Democrat Party to become either Republicans or independents.
My hope is that Tulsi Gabbard is the canary in the coal mine. She is the model. She has started a trend. She has started a tsunami away from the radical, insane, extreme, America-hating Democrat Party.
Gabbard then backed up her words by immediately endorsing two MAGA, America-First Republican candidates: Joe Kent for Congress in Washington and GOP Senate candidate Dan Bolduc in New Hampshire. I don’t know if Gabbard is officially joining the GOP, but it’s a darn good start!
Tulsi, it’s great to have you on my team. Welcome to “Wayne’s World.” You may have just changed the direction of America. You may have just saved the GOP with your raw truth. God bless you.
