Big Tech, Koch Network Cheer Biden’s Amnesty to Flood U.S. Labor Market

JOHN BINDER

Big tech’s lobbying arm and the Koch brothers’ network of donor class organizations are cheering on President Joe Biden’s amnesty plan that would pack the United States labor market with more foreign visa workers for business to hire over American graduates and professionals.

This week, Biden’s amnesty plan was introduced in Congress by Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) as Democrats look to increase foreign competition in the U.S. workforce while more than 17 million Americans are jobless.

Among other things, the plan would:

· Put nearly all illegal aliens in the U.S. on an eight-year path to citizenship

· Provide $4 billion in foreign aid to Central America

· Expand the U.S. labor market with more foreign visa workers

· Expedite green cards for foreign relatives, otherwise known as “chain migration”

· Potentially add 52 million foreign-born residents to the U.S. population

· Eliminate per-country caps, ensuring India monopolizes employment green cards

· Increase the Diversity Visa Lottery program where visas are given out randomly

· Provide green cards to foreign students who graduate in advanced STEM fields

· Bring already deported illegal aliens back to the U.S. to provide them amnesty

For Amazon, millions of newly legalized illegal aliens, foreign visa workers, and chain migrants who would be added to the U.S. labor market as a result of the plan are a boon to multinational corporations’ profits.

“Today’s immigration reform bill marks an important step in reducing the green card backlog, creating a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers & making our immigration system more efficient,” Amazon officials wrote in a statement. “We look forward working [with] the administration and Congress to advance these proposed solutions.”

Today's immigration reform bill marks an important step in reducing the green card backlog, creating a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers & making our immigration system more efficient. We look forward working w/ the administration & Congress to advance these proposed solutions.

— Amazon Public Policy (@amazon_policy) February 18, 2021

Specifically, aside from providing Amazon with more foreign visa workers to hire, the plan includes a green card giveaway that would create a green card system where only H-1B foreign visa workers are able to obtain employment-based visas by creating a backlog of seven to eight years for all foreign nationals.

The process would reward outsourcing firms and tech corporations for the decades of outsourcing American jobs to H-1B foreign visa workers.

Executives with the Libre Initiative, a Koch-funded organization, also praised the Biden amnesty plan as “an important first step” to securing the green card giveaway for corporations that they have also long lobbied for.

“There is broad support for proposals like a permanent solution for Dreamers, workforce visa reform, removing per-country caps, efficient border security measures and much more,” Daniel Garza with the Libre Initiative wrote in a statement:

Lawmakers should seize the opportunity and demonstrate that partisan gridlock will not keep the American public waiting another 30 years for congress to enact sensible, permanent solutions. We look forward to working with lawmakers to ensure that we can get nonpartisan, sensible solutions past both chambers and enacted into law.

Todd Schulte with FWD.us, a group that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg created to lobby on behalf of tech corporations, called the amnesty plan a “critical moment for immigration policy” and a “substantial step forward.”

“Congress has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform a long-failed and too easily weaponized immigration system,” Schulte wrote in a statement. “The time is now and we will seize this moment.”

Despite the business lobby’s insistence that there

is a labor shortage, millions of Americans are

out of work today and hundreds of thousands of

U.S. graduates enter the labor market every

year looking for white-collar professional jobs

with competitive pay and good benefits.

Already, the U.S. admits about 1.2 million legal immigrants every year. Another 1.4 million foreign visa workers are brought in annually to take American jobs, many in white-collar professions. The latest data reveals that nearly 6-in-10 workers in Silicon Valley, California — the tech industry’s hub — are foreign-born.

President Touts ‘Bidenomics’ as Americans Have Little Faith in Economy

President Joe Biden touted “Bidenomics” in Auburn, Maine, on Friday, although the buying power of the dollar has dramatically decreased since he took office, and polls show Americans have little faith in the economy.

“This morning, we saw data showing the last month the annual rate of inflation continued to decline, so inflation is now at its lowest point in two years,” Biden said, who later forgot to sign an executive order.

WATCH BELOW:

C-SPAN
0 seconds of 1 minute, 22 secondsVolume 90%

Of jobs, Biden said his administration has “created 13 million new jobs – more than before the pandemic.” and that “Unemployment in America has been below 4% for the longest stretch in over 50 years.”

Despite Biden’s brags, the buying power of the American dollar has dropped dramatically when compared with January 2021, when former President Donald Trump left office. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, $1.17 today has the same buying power as $1.00 did when Biden became commander-in-chief. Compared to a similar time frame during Trump’s presidency, $1.00 in January 2017 had the same buying power as $1.05 in June 2019. This marked only five percent inflation over two and a half years.

Americans are reeling from the effects of Bidenflation and have little faith that things will get better.

An AP-NORC poll released in early June showed that nearly seven in ten Americans rated Biden’s economy as poor. Conversely, 30 percent said it is good.

Similarly, just 22 percent of Americans gave Biden’s economy positive marks in a recent YouGov/Economist poll, while 74 percent rated it as “Fair” or “Poor,” including 46 percent who said it was “Poor.” Moreover, 47 percent of the respondents believe we are in a recession, while another 21 percent think one is likely in the next year.

That poll sampled 1,500 adults between July 8-11 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.

However, inflation is cooling and labor markets have not been terribly affected as many economists had predicted. In the face of the scrutiny and a reeling economy, Biden embraced “Bidenomics” on the off chance that inflation stabilized and employment levels were not dramatically affected, as Breitbart News’s John Carney wrote in the Breitbart News Business Digest on Tuesday.

Biden was always going to ‘own’ this economy, so he might as well have bet that it would improve,” Carney wrote. However, he forecasts that the rise in home prices and consumer confidence is likely to beget more inflation:

Rising home prices will mean that the shelter portion of the price indexes will not continue to be a drag on core inflation for much longer. Consumer confidence and strong incomes due to high levels of employment will fuel demand for goods and services. Indeed, the Conference Board reported an increased expectation on spending on autos and necessary services.

A resurgence of inflation would likely require the Fed to return to increasing rate hikes next year. Indeed, it would likely quash hopes for a “soft-landing” by making it clear that it really will require a sharp economic downturn to permanently tame inflation. Right now, this is the opposite of what the market expects.

However, Carney notes that this is not certain to happen, as Republican presidential candidates have been keying in on Biden’s economy on the campaign trail, with many releasing policy proposals as to how to combat inflation and out-of-control spending. Carney suggests the GOP should tuck “Bidenomics being a flop” away as a backup plan.

FNC’s Homan: Mayorkas Is Touting Border Encounters Several Times what Obama Admin. Considered a Crisis

On Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox News Live,” Fox News Contributor and former acting ICE Director Thomas Homan reacted to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas defending the Biden administration’s approach on the border while he was testifying before Congress earlier in the week by pointing out that the number of encounters at the border in June was several times what the Obama administration — which Mayorkas served as Homeland Security Deputy Secretary during — considered a crisis.

Homan said, [relevant remarks begin around 3:20] “Mayorkas, when he was Deputy Secretary under Obama, when we had a thousand illegal entries a day, Secretary Jeh Johnson called us all in and would say, what the hell is going on? We’ve got a thousand illegal entries. What are we doing about it? It’s a crisis. Now, we’ve got three to four times as many of that. Now, the Deputy Secretary, who is now the Secretary says, this is a success story.”

President Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has said that when he ran DHS, if there were more than 1,000 border apprehensions in a day, that was considered a bad number and that “I know that a thousand overwhelms the system.” According to Border Patrol’s monthly numbers for June, there were an average of about 3,300 encounters between ports of entry per day, with the total number of encounters averaging about 4,820 per day.

Biden Expands Mexico’s Gatekeeper Role at U.S. Border

The White House has announced a new deal that gives Mexico even more power over the flow of wage-cutting economic migrants into jobs and communities throughout the United States.

“Today we are announcing our full support for an international multipurpose space that the Government of Mexico plans to establish in southern Mexico to offer new refugee and labor options for the most vulnerable people who are currently in Mexico,” said the July 28 announcement by the White House’s top security official, Jake Sullivan.

The deal cements the gatekeeper role of Mexico’s pro-migration government at the U.S. border, responded Jessica Vaughan, policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies. “It gives Mexico leverage over the United States, because now [President Joe] Biden had to expend political capital to persuade the Mexicans to do this and has become dependent on them [to minimize chaos at the border],” she told Breitbart News.

The gatekeeper deal “improves the optics [at the border], but it’s not going to reduce the flow” of migrants into Americans’ workplaces and communities, Vaughan added.

The deal also “suggests that the Biden administration has been willing to sacrifice a deal on the [cartel] drug [smuggling] problem to get the migration deal that it wants,” she said.  On July 25, lower-level Biden officials announced a toothless deal over drug smuggling.

The deal also will not stop the cartels’ labor smuggling, because many people will pay the cartels to help them get around the Mexican gatekeepers as well as U.S. border agents, she added. But it will also allow U.S. elites to hurt Americans’ pocketbooks by using the new migrants to ratchet down Americans’ wages and push up their housing costs and inflation.

The July 28 statement said the gatekeeper deal:

builds on a series of successful legal pathways initiatives that President Biden and President Lopez Obrador have agreed to launch during the last year. The expanded cooperation between the United States and Mexico to manage our shared border in a humane and orderly way is a testament to strong and enduring bonds of friendship and partnership between our two countries.

In January 2023, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he favors the continued inflow of Latino migrants into the United States. “What we want is an in-depth solution,” Obrador told a January 10 press conference with Biden and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He continued:

And we do celebrate the fact that the U.S. administration has taken — made the decision, rather, to have an orderly migration flow in the case, for instance, of our Venezuelan brothers and sisters. And I understand that this plan will also be extended — will be expanded to benefit other migrants, other countries.

There’s hope [for migrants]. A hope that this is — a purpose is going to be accomplished: the purpose of going to the United States to work, to live. We celebrate this.

Obrador sees himself as a champion for Latino and Mexican migrants to the United States. “Just imagine: There are 40 million Mexicans in the United States — 40 million [including people] who were born here in Mexico, [or] who are the children of people who were born in Mexico,” Obrador gushed.

He also took time to slash at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for opposing illegal migration, saying:

One of the governors of our neighboring country headed a movement to take migrants to New York, to Washington, and just drop them there. This is politicking. This is completely inhuman. This should not be done. Because there are those who forget that we are all migrants.

The new deal may also accelerate the inflow of Mexicans into the United States.

In June, roughly 50,000 Mexicans were allowed to cross the border, which is a sharp rise from 15,000 per month seen in April and prior months. Those extra Mexicans are likely a combination of the workers and families looking to join with illegal migrant Mexicans in the United States.

The gatekeeper likely violates the 1965 and 1990 immigration laws that protect Americans and their families from employers who import low-wage workers. The July 28 announcement claims it is legal without providiing any details or justifications:

For example, the deal cited “new refugee and labor options for the most vulnerable people who are currently in Mexico.”

That section may describe how the United States plans to help Mexico by redirecting some of the large and expensive population of migrants in Mexico up to the United States.

For example, the President annually sets the annual cap for refugee inflow — and his deputies could redefine the economic migrants as approved refugees. The annual inflow is technically uncapped, but it is limited by Congress’scontrol over the funding. However, Biden’s border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas, is trying to create a huge refugee inflow that is funded by private groups, such as employers, ethnic lobbies, and foreign migrants.

The “labor options” mentioned in the deal likely include work permits for the uncapped H-2A farm sector visa workforce. The huge workforce is being used by farmers and their investors to avoid the development and procurement of U.S.-built high-tech farming gear.

Mayorkas has repeatedly argued that U.S. employers need more migrants to fill jobs, even though many millions of younger and older Americans have been pushed out of the job market by cheap, hard-working, and compliant migrants.

To reach that economic goal — and also his personal goal of equity between Americans and foreigners — he has admitted roughly eight million migrants via a wide variety of legal, illegal, and quasi-legal routes since early 2021.

The gatekeeper announcement also reversed Mayorkas’s claimed justification for his January 2023 program that claimed to want to slow the migration of people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

The January plan allowed 360,000 migrants per year to fly into U.S. airports from four countries. But Mayorkas and his deputies claimed that they would block and deport migrants from those four countries if they did not wait their turn for the airport parole program.

But the gatekeeper deal will allow migrants from those four countries to skip the airport parole line by moving into Mexico and then applying for the refugee program. It says:

We also commit to accept refugee resettlement referrals from qualified individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who are already in Mexico.

Mayorkas’s airport pathway has already allowed 170,000 economic migrants from those four countries to take jobs and homes needed by young Americans.

The gatekeeper deal also expands the flow of indirect economic aid to the dictators who control those countries, because it allows their migrants to send remittances home from U.S. jobs.

Many of Biden’s migrants are pitiable, many are admirable, most are eager to work — and all were unlucky enough to be born outside the United States. For example, the Los Angeles Times reported:

Mary Otaiyi, 33, of Nigeria, carried her sleeping 4-year-old on her back while holding her 10-year-old’s hand. She said they had flown to Brazil, then walked and bused through Bolivia, Peru and onward into Mexico, taking a month to get to America.

”I came for a good life for my kids,” she said. “I have no relatives here and no job in Nigeria.”

But the Democrats’ easy-migration policies are deliberately adding the foreigners’ problems to the lengthening list of Americans’ problems — homelessness, low wages, a shrinking middle class, slowing innovation, declining blue-collar life expectancy, spreading poverty, the rising death toll from drugs, and the spreading alienation among young people.

Worse, the inflow of migrants reduces the incentive and ability of politicians, government officials, and business leaders to overcome their expanding political differences in ways that help reduce Americans’ problems.

More Than 60% of Migrants Remain in New York City Shelters as Mass Immigration Exacerbates Costly Rents

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JUNE 6:Hundreds of asylum seekers line up outside of the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building on June 6, 2023 in New York City. New York City has provided sanctuary to over 46,000 asylum seekers since 2013, when the city passed a law prohibiting city agencies …

More than 60 percent of migrants who have arrived in New York City since the spring of last year remain in taxpayer-funded shelters across the city’s five boroughs. Mass immigration has also only exacerbated the city’s sky-high rents that are often out of reach for working and lower-middle-class New Yorkers.

Data published in the Wall Street Journal this week reveals that of the more than 90,000 migrants who have arrived in New York City since April 2022, almost 61 percent are still living off taxpayers in shelters.

Mayor Eric Adams (D) said migrants will likely cost New York City taxpayers close to $3 billion this fiscal year alone after they have already spent some $1.4 billion to house, feed, and care for the new arrivals.

The issue has become so widespread that migrants now outnumber native New Yorkers in the city’s shelter system, with the city housing about 55,000 migrants compared to roughly 50,000 New Yorkers.

Meanwhile, mass immigration to New York City has only helped send rents skyrocketing for native New Yorkers and those moving to the city.

The median rent today in the city is about $3,700 a month, according to data compiled by Zillow. This represents a $200 increase compared to the same time last year. The city has the most inventory of rental properties, starting at $5,000 a month and going all the way to $150,000 a month.

Chart via Zillow

Last month, rents in New York City hit a new high, with the median rent for a one-bedroom apartment across the five boroughs costing a pricey $3,900 a month — a nearly nine percent increase compared to the same period the year before.

The addition of tens of thousands of newly arrived border crossers and illegal aliens, on top of those thousands of legal immigrants who arrive monthly, coincides with New York City’s increasing unaffordability for working and lower-middle-class New Yorkers.

A 2017 study published in the Journal of Housing Economics found that “increases in immigration into a metropolitan statistical area are linked with rising rents and home prices in that metropolitan statistical area and neighboring metropolitan statistical areas.”

Mass immigration’s impact on boosting housing costs for Americans is so pronounced that New York Magazine recently admitted that it is “bad for housing prices.”

In 2013, a study by the Michael Bloomberg-funded New American Economy, which promotes mass immigration, explained how the importing of tens of millions of immigrants over decades had helped raise housing costs by $3.7 trillion for the next generation of homebuyers but spun the figure as the creation of “housing wealth.”

WHAT DOES 'GOOD CATHOLIC' SOCIOPATH LYING GAMER LAWYER JOE BIDEN SAY ABOUT HIS OPEN BORDERS AND CHILD TRAFFICKING?

Exclusive – Trump Adviser Lynne Patton: He Will Reinstate Title 42 on Day 1 to Fight Child Trafficking in Illegal Immigration

Lynne Patton, a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump, appeared on Breitbart News Saturday, where she discussed Trump’s commitment to combatting child trafficking on the heels of the recent viewing of the blockbuster film Sound of Freedom at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Patton told host Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News’s Washington bureau chief, that Trump intends to reinstate Title 42 on day one, with the aim of combatting child trafficking if he returns to the Oval Office. The Biden administration allowed the program to expire in May.

“On day one when Trump gets back in office in 2024, he has pledged to reinstate title 42, which will immediately and safely return children, migrant children, unaccompanied minors, back to their own families in their own countries where they belong,” Patton pledged. “Right now, a lot of your listeners might not know, but Biden – obviously everybody knows he undid Title 42 – but what that does, is it also, it forces migrant children to be released into the interior of the United States, where they are at the mercy of these predators, and so it’s extremely dangerous. It wasn’t just kind of to prevent people from having COVID into this country, it was basically, you know, to prevent unaccompanied miners, all these types of unsafe conditions from transpiring, and the fact that this current administration let that expire is inexplicable.”

LISTEN:

She emphasized earlier in the interview that Trump was fighting to combat human trafficking in the White House during his first term.

“Here’s the crazy thing in the middle of – this was before the Mueller report was even released, right, and everybody was thinking this was going to be the hammer that basically tied Trump to collusion with Russia and all this stuff – and even in the midst of all that, President Trump was focused on saving children,” Patton said. “And I want to say that even in the midst of all these continued false indictments this week, and last week, he’s still focused on saving children.”

She noted that Tim Ballard, who is the former Department of Homeland Security special agent portrayed by John Caviezel in Sound of Freedom, met with the 45th president at the White House and became part of his administration.

“He had Tim Ballard at the White House long before most people even knew who he was,” Patton said. “But he was, obviously, Ballard was a former special agent with Homeland Security and founder of Operation Underground Railroad at the time, which rescues and rehabilitates victims of human trafficking, and at the President’s invitation, he came to the White House, talked about these stories, and that obviously human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world. Over 50 million victims are in human… or sex slavery globally today, which in the movie, if you watch it, they say that more humans are trapped in slavery today than at any other time in history, including when slavery was legal. So that’s just mind-blowing.”

Jack Knudsen / Breitbart News

“Ballard told Trump a story about how, you know, you can sell a bag of cocaine once, but you can sell, unfortunately, a ten-year-old child for at least five to ten times a day for ten years straight, and it’s heartbreaking, and I think that really struck a chord with Trump. And you know, that very day, he ended up appointing Ballard to his White House advisory council to end human trafficking and this was back in, you know, 2017.”

Trump signed the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act of 2018, which shut down the website Backpage “which was obviously one of the biggest sort of underground websites for sex trafficking,” as Patton noted,

She added, “I think Trump indicted seven people who were responsible for operating and running and pimping men and women out on that page.”

“So it’s amazing how far we’ve come today, where Joe Biden is arguably and his immigration reckless immigration policies are arguably turning the southern border into the largest human trafficking crisis in the world,” she said. “We’ve done a complete 180, Matt, since Trump’s last office in this area and Tim Ballard is the first to point it out.”

DHS Secretary Mayorkas ‘Not Familiar’ with California’s Sanctuary State Law

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says he is “not familiar with the particulars” of California’s sanctuary state law that shields countless criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation every year.

During a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee this week, Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) asked Mayorkas his views on sanctuary jurisdictions. The secretary, though, refused to criticize California’s sanctuary state law — the strictest in the nation — and went as far as to say he is unaware of the details of the law.

“I do not consider it in the service to public safety to release an individual into the community when that individual can be released to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for prompt removal,” Mayorkas said when asked by Kiley if he believes sanctuary jurisdictions risk public safety for Americans.

“So you oppose California’s sanctuary state law?” Kiley then asked, to which Mayorkas responded, “I am not familiar with the particulars of that law.”

“I would like to restate for the record, the policies that you’ve said you oppose — overriding the ability for local jurisdictions to cooperate — that’s exactly what California’s sanctuary state law does,” Kiley said.
Mayorkas has made clear that the well-being of illegal aliens is paramount to President Joe Biden’s immigration agenda. Last year, for instance, Mayorkas said “justice and equity” for illegal aliens is central to his mission at DHS.

In addition to the sanctuary state law, many California cities have their own sanctuary policies that reinforce their goal to protect criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

This month, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) bragged about its sanctuary policy protecting nearly 800 criminal illegal aliens last year, alone. Specifically, LAPD officials said they received 783 requests from ICE agents in 2022 and ignored all of them.

Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant

Welfare

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/04/study-more-than-7-in-10-california-immigrant-households-are-on-welfare/

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center

for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of

households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or

more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California

— the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households

headed by native-born Americans use welfare in

California.

All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

In New York and Florida, a majority of households headed by immigrants and noncitizens are on welfare. Overall, about 63 percent of immigrant households use welfare while only 35 percent of native-born households use welfare.

President Trump’s administration is looking to soon implement a policy that protects American taxpayers’ dollars from funding the mass importation of welfare-dependent foreign nationals by enforcing a “public charge” rule whereby legal immigrants would be less likely to secure a permanent residency in the U.S. if they have used any forms of welfare in the past, including using Obamacare, food stamps, and public housing.

The immigration controls would be a boon for American taxpayers in the form of an annual $57.4 billion tax cut — the amount taxpayers spend every year on paying for the welfare, crime, and schooling costs of the country’s mass importation of 1.5 million new, mostly low-skilled legal immigrants.

As Breitbart News reported, the majority of the more than 1.5 million foreign nationals entering the country every year use about 57 percent more food stamps than the average native-born American household. Overall, immigrant households consume 33 percent more cash welfare than American citizen households and 44 percent more in Medicaid dollars. This straining of public services by a booming 44 million foreign-born population translates to the average immigrant household costing American

taxpayers $6,234 in federal welfare.

Liberal California Emigrants are Toxic

By R. Quinn Kennedy

When Arizona, a state that has historically leaned conservative, was won by Joe Biden and now-senator Mark Kelly this week, very few were taken by surprise. Extensive polling indicated Arizona was ripe for swinging liberal and in this instance, at least, the polling was correct.

The question is why? Why has a state that held two elected Republican senators as recently as 2018 and which held a dependable stable of electoral votes for GOP presidential candidates become a purple state on its way to becoming solidly blue? Have Arizona residents suddenly awaked to the idea that liberal policies and doctrines are more sensible than conservative ones? Hardly.

The answer regarding Arizona’s swing lies in its neighbor to the west, California. Since 2012, California has overwhelmingly sent more transplants to Arizona than any other state. When surveyed, escaping Californians cite high taxes, high crime rates, unaffordable housing, out-of-control homelessness, and high unemployment rates as their top reasons for fleeing.

Who is responsible for creating such an alarming living environment within the state? California liberals. A November, 2020 report produced by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University stated that California has 395,608 regulatory restrictions. The sheer volume and scope of California regulations creates such a compliance nightmare that they kill entire industries, send housing prices to unattainable heights, and restrict even commonplace liberties for which conservative leaning states are known.

Piled onto California’s endless river of regulations are its nonsensical laws and policies. Twenty major metropolitan cities or counties in California have established laws, ordinances, regulations, or other practices that shield illegal immigrants from prosecution after committing a crime. These counties brazenly safeguard illegal immigrant criminals against deportation either through noncompliance or by refusing to hand them over to federal agencies such as ICE. With over $1.5 trillion in state and local government debt, California effectively has little money to spare for conveniences such as criminal incarceration. What do sanctuary cities and counties see as the alternative to handing illegal immigrant criminals over for deportation? Release them back into the general population, of course.

Consider this: Between 2014 and 2017, the FBI reported that 49 states saw an average increase in crime annually of around 3%. After implementing “humane” alternatives to criminal prosecution, California crime increased more than 12% per year over the same time period. With irrational sanctuary policies that send a clear message of little to no consequence for offenses, is it any wonder California’s crime rate is now spiraling out of control?

Arizona is not the only beneficiary of the California exodus. The Colorado State Demography Office has published an active flow map of people moving into the state from 2010 on. Disturbingly, the state sending the most movers to Colorado since then has consistently been California. As recently as 2004, Colorado had the political trifecta of a Republican governor and a Republican-controlled House and Senate. A short ten years later, all three had turned irrevocably Democrat. The subsequent consequence? A drastic increase in state and local regulations, a dramatic increase in violent crimes, a severe shortage of home inventory and affordable housing, and a staggering increase in homelessness. Do these newfound troubles sound familiar to any other state mentioned here? The only safeguard against out-of-control tax hikes in Colorado is the TABOR Amendment passed by voters 1992, prior to the influx of California residents, that requires taxpayer approval for any new tax. Not surprisingly, emboldened liberals in Colorado are vigorously resolute in repealing this tax hike protection. As of the most recent election they are unsuccessful, yet remain undeterred.

What has coincided with Colorado’s decline? The mass inflow of Californians to the state. Californians have brought with them all the very same liberal doctrines and ideologies that forced their flight from California in the first place. Does this dissuade liberal Californians from shaping Colorado into the very image of California? Not in the least.

If there is any hope for Arizona, it is that they might learn from the resulting ruin of Colorado, however unlikely.

In the 2020 election, Texas was startlingly considered in play for liberals. Since 2015, which state has contributed the most emigrants into Texas? Not surprisingly, the state of California. The hope for liberals is that they can turn Texas into the next purple soon-to-be blue state. The coveted prize is Texas’ electoral votes. Even more insidious, if liberals are able to capture Texas as they have done in Colorado and Arizona, they will force the state to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. They will then achieve their ultimate goal of a Democrat president reigning over the United States for endless generations until the point our country experiences the same collapse as other great civilizations throughout world history.

The obvious question is this: How can Texas avoid the same fate as states such as Colorado and Arizona? Simple. By being proactive.

It is much easier for liberals to enact new legislation than to argue for the removal of existing laws. With this in mind, Texas should take advantage of their current Republican-controlled Senate, House, and governor’s office by making haste and passing laws that would limit the future incursion of liberal meddling. Texas can presently enact laws that prohibit sanctuary cities, require voter approval to remove the state’s mandated balanced budget, require that any new regulation must necessitate the removal of an existing one, and compel voter approval of each new local or state tax including non-user fees. While such laws may only serve to stem the liberal takeover of the state, they would be roadblocks making it much more difficult for ideological infiltration in areas that affect inhabitant’s liberties and quality of life.

It would be absurd to suppose Californians have malintent. Rather, they are simply following the course with which they are most familiar while being blissfully ignorant of the negative unintended consequences their political ideology brings. To suggest that any act of suppression, aggression, or intimidation towards Californians moving into red states is acceptable would simply be un-American and subject to the same type of hypocrisy liberals practice. If conservatives stoop to their level, we have lost the battle and, perhaps, the war.

However, by taking aggressive legislative action in states that have not yet succumbed to liberal infiltration, Conservatives will effectively be planting our flag in a defiant refusal to hand over our institutions and our liberty.

Besides unemployment, the high cost of living in these urban areas has caused an exodus of taxpayers from these very cities to redder areas of the country. Many conservatives who were hanging on in places they called home let go and are making new lives for themselves and paying taxes elsewhere. A tidal wave of illegal aliens—straining city resources (as was predicted before this all happened) and increasing demands on public health, law enforcement, and overall infrastructure—has arrived. And these same cities now have fewer workers paying taxes to cover all this, as well as the typically bloated and overpaid Dem-area administrations.

Mayorkas Flouts Congress, Invents More ‘Legal’ Immigration Pathways

Excerpt: Earlier this month the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas introduced additional “family reunification parole” programs, which allow certain foreign nationals with relatives in the U.S. to come here immediately rather than wait for a family-based immigrant visa. It’s yet another lawless action taken under the guise of promoting legal immigration.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), on Thursday, slammed Biden’s plan to open Obamacare and Medicaid rolls to illegal aliens, calling it “an insult to American citizenship.”

“Rewarding illegal immigration will bring more illegal immigration,” Cotton said.

Sen. Cotton: Biden’s Not Deploying FEMA to Stop Illegals, But to ‘Expedite Them, Wave Them in Even Faster’

The Biden administration isn’t sending the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the southwest border in order to secure it, but to help and encourage illegal aliens to relocate to the U.S. even faster, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) said Monday.

“They’re deploying FEMA to expedite” illegal immigration, Sen. Cotton told Fox News:

“They're not deploying FEMA to secure the border, to try to finish the wall, or to stop those migrants from crossing. They're deploying FEMA to expedite them, to wave them in even faster and give them a bus ticket and a plane ticket and send them wherever they want to go in the United States.

“That is the Biden border crisis."

Sen. Cotton was responding to comments House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made to ABC earlier in the day, in which she claimed that Biden “inherited a broken system at the border.”

"At no point in that rambling, incoherent answer did Nancy Pelosi even come close to expressing a rational thought about what's happening at the border,” Sen. Cotton said. “What they inherited from the Trump administration was a border that was closed. We were building a wall and we were turning away all migrants who had no right to cross into our country.”

Noting that border crossing have increased every month since the election, Sen. Cotton attributed the current border crisis to “Joe Biden's promises of amnesty and open borders and free health care for illegals during the campaign.

Pelosi appeared to prove Cotton’s point Sunday, when she told ABC that FEMA is going to the border in order “to help facilitate” the transfer of illegal alien children “into family homes”:

"I'm so pleased that the president, as a temporary measure, has sent FEMA to the border in order to help facilitate the children going from one — the 72-hour issue into where they are cared for as they are transferred into family homes or homes that are safe for them to be.”

Governor Demands Biden Stop Risking Migrant Lives at Texas Border

Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded the Department of Justice’s threat to sue the state over the recent deployment of a floating border barrier, saying, “Texas will see you in court, Mr. President.” The response came in a letter to President Joe Biden asking that he join with Texas to stop migrants from “wagering their lives in the waters of the Rio Grande.”

Citing authority from the U.S. and Texas Constitituions, Abbott told the president “Your ongoing violation of Article IV, § 4 of the U.S. Constitution has left me no other choice,” Abbott wrote in the letter. The governor went on to deny that the historic floating border barrier does not violate the Rivers and Harbors Act — an accusation made by the DOJ in its letter to Abbott on Friday.

“The fact is, if you would just enforce the immigration laws Congress already has on the books, America would not be suffering from your record-breaking level of illegal immigration,” Governor Abbott continued. “Neither of us wants to see another death in the Rio Grande River. Yet your open-border policies encourage migrants to risk their lives by crossing illegally through the water, instead of safely and legally at a port of entry. Nobody drowns on a bridge.”

The Texas governor laid out the following history regarding migrant deaths in Texas:

  • Two years before Texas deployed the floating marine barriers, and a year before it deployed concertina wire, a United Nations agency declared that the border between the United States and Mexico is the deadliest land crossing in the world, with 728 migrant deaths recorded in 2021.
  • Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, hundreds of migrants drowned in the Rio Grande River trying to cross the border illegally.
  • Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, 53 migrants who illegally crossed the border died in the back of an 18-wheel tractor trailer near San Antonio.
  • Before Texas took the action about which you now complain, thousands of Americans lost their lives to the fentanyl that pours across our border daily.

“If you truly care about human life, you must begin enforcing federal immigration laws,” Abbott stated. “By doing so, you can help me stop migrants from wagering their lives in the waters of the Rio Grande River.”

Absent assistance from the federal government, Abbott concluded, “In the meantime, Texas will fully utilize its constitutional authority to deal with the crisis you have caused.

DOJ Demands Texas Remove Floating Border Barriers – ‘See You in Court,’ Says Governor

The U.S. Department of Justice sent a letter to Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatening legal action if the State does not remove the recently installed floating border barrier. Governor Abbott responded on Twitter, saying, “We will see you in court, Mr. President.”

Assistant Attorney General Todd Kim and U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Jaime Esparza sent a letter to Governor Abbott claiming the State illegally installed a floating border barrier in the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas. The letter claims the buoy barrier was installed without the approval of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The DOJ also claims the barrier violates the Rivers and Harbors Act by creating a hazard to navigation on the river.

Governor Abbott responded on Twitter and declared, “Texas has the sovereign right to defend our border, under the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution.” The governor added that President Joe Biden’s refusal to secure the border “encourages migrants to risk their lives crossing illegally through the Rio Grande, instead of safely and legally over a bridge.”

In the DOJ’s letter, the government claims:

The floating barrier at issue here is a structure that obstructs the navigable capacity of the Rio Grande River, which is a navigable water of the United States within the meaning of the Rivers and Harbors Act. Texas does not have authorization from the Corps to install the floating barrier and did not seek such authorization before doing so.

Texas’s unauthorized construction of the floating barrier is a prima facie violation of the Rivers and Harbors Act. This floating barrier poses a risk to navigation, as well as public safety, in the Rio Grande River, and it presents humanitarian concerns.

The letter gives the State of Texas until 2 p.m. on July 24 to respond “indicating your commitment to expeditiously remove the floating barrier and related structures.” The DOJ claims it will take legal action if this demand is unmet.

Governor Abbott responded, “We will continue to deploy every strategy to protect Texans and Americans — and the migrants risking their lives.”

“We will see you in court, Mr. President,” Abbott stated.
