Okay, I get it! From listening to Republican TV and reading Republican publications, I have learned that Joe Biden is a sleazy, mendacious, and demented chief executive. He has weaponized the entire Justice Department and the IRS against his real and suspected political opponents, thrown open our southern border to drug cartels, and reduced our armed forces and international posture to shambles. Moreover, Joe has a gangster son with whom he has engaged in illegal business ventures; and it’s entirely possible that the cocaine recently found in the West Wing of the White House came from son Hunter, who is a drug addict as well as many other bad things.
Biden seems to be far and away the most incompetent, unprincipled, and verbally incoherent president of my lifetime, going back to the 1950s. It would be hard to think of any president who has disgraced his office to the same degree or who has unleashed more problems on this country.

He supported the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999, a milestone in the deregulation of the banks, and other right-wing measures. Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) spoke to Breitbart News about House Republicans’ various investigations into President Joe Biden and his family, saying any American “should be really, really concerned if the President of the United States is compromised by a foreign entity.”
Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle asked Van Orden to talk about the media’s blowout after the Wisconsin Republican reportedly confronted teenagers who were lying down on the floor of the U.S. Capitol.
Van Orden explained the media focused on his reaction because they are trying to ignore all the accomplishments that House Republicans have made thus far. He felt compelled to approach the teenagers because there were lying down on the exact spot where former presidents had their bodies lying in state.

“There were some people lying on the floor, in the capitol rotunda on the exact geographic spot, where Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, John F. Kennedy, George Bush the first, exactly where their bodies laid in state, like the physical location. There’s a marble circle in the middle of the rotunda, and they were lying right there,” Van Orden said. “People don’t understand that that rotunda was a field hospital during the Civil War. And we don’t even know how many men who were fighting to end slavery died in that room. And they were just showing blatant and gross disrespect for that. And I’m just not going to put up with that.”
Van Orden then listed off some of House Republicans’ accomplishments this term, including, but not limited to, ending proxy voting, ceasing the sale of our strategic petroleum reserves to China, halting the 87,000 new IRS agents, and establishing the bipartisan Select Committee on China.
Van Orden also discussed House Republicans’ shocking revelations about the Biden family’s corruption.
“And I don’t want to oversell things and you know, build this up, because although there is what appears to be incredibly compelling evidence, hardcore evidence that the Biden crime family is just not a crime family, but taking bribes from people overseas and lying about it and making the Justice Department not report it and not send the appropriate documents that had been found to the IRS. And those there are very, very serious and credible accusations out there about Hunter Biden or about Joe Biden and the sitting president,” Van Orden said.
“And can you imagine, if this accusation of the president of the United States taking $5 million from Chinese entity is true? That means that he’s completely compromised to the Chinese Communist Party. And then what are we gonna say about that, then we’re gonna, we’re gonna give him a bye, because he’s not, I don’t think physically or mentally with us all the way. No, that’s a crime. That’s a high crime and misdemeanor, for real, that’s bribery,” he continued.

“Any American, that’s a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or someone who doesn’t vote should be really, really concerned if the President of the United States is compromised by a foreign entity,” Van Orden added. “And, again, I don’t want to oversell these things. I don’t want people to get incredibly dead set thinking that these are going to be proven at some point, but there are 100 percent very, very credible pieces of evidence indicating that that’s the case.”
When asked if the House should launch an impeachment inquiry into Biden, Van Orden said he is focused on the committees he has jurisdiction over but plans to ask his colleagues “some very serious questions” about any potential impeachment inquiry.
Van Orden then talked about how House Republicans govern by compromising with their colleagues, as opposed to how Democrat leadership issues orders from the top down.
“Here’s what we’re doing that they didn’t do for two years, unfortunately. We’re governing. And governing takes compromise, not capitulation, compromise. Because if you’re not willing to come to the table with people within your own conference, or in the Democratic caucus, and talk to them and find out what’s good for them, and what’s good for their constituents, your ruling, that’s what Nancy Pelosi Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden did for two years, they ruled, they did not govern. There’s about five Democrats. I mean, you’ve learned so much stuff, and you’re there, there’s really about five Democrats in the entire House of Representatives that had any decision making capability at all. And the rest of them were just told how they’re going to vote, which to me, I would have been so angry if I was one of those folks,” Van Orden said.

One topic that Hillary is quick to criticize President Trump on is his relationship with Saudia Arabia. It’s ironic given the Clinton Foundation’s refusal to state that they will no longer accept financial donations from The Kingdom as others have.
But the Clinton Foundation, to which donations declined dramatically after Clinton’s 2016 defeat, has taken multi-million dollar contributions from Saudi Arabia in the past and isn’t ruling out continuing to accept them.
The Clinton Foundation accepted between $10 and $25 million from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with donations coming as late as 2014. A now-defunct group named “Friends of Saudi Arabia,” which was reportedly co-founded by a Saudi Prince and often worked as a PR front for the kingdom, also donated between $1 and $5 million.

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” Washington Post Associate Editor and MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart stated that former President Donald Trump’s handling of classified information is receiving different treatment from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s possession of classified material because Trump had documents “about nuclear secrets, preparedness of America’s allies.” But “a lot of” Clinton’s emails “had to do with cooking recipes and appointments.”
After Washington Post contributing columnist Gary Abernathy brought up the Hillary Clinton case, Capehart said, “Donald Trump is being treated differently because he had classified documents that were about nuclear secrets, preparedness of America’s allies. … And what we’re discovering now is that he has done all of the things he has accused Hillary Clinton of doing, actually done. The emails that they found on Secretary Clinton’s server, a lot of them had to do with cooking recipes and appointments. None had to do with nuclear secrets and secrets about our allies. And you just can’t — there’s no parallel. There is no symmetry. There is no similarity at all.”
Abernathy then cut in to counter, “Well, actually, Director Comey pointed out that a lot of her things that they found on her server were classified and probably were accessed by foreign agents. I mean, this is something they said probably happened. So, we don’t know if they were nuclear secrets. Of course, we don’t know about all of the ones that were deleted before anyone ever got to see them.”
Capehart responded, “If they were nuclear secrets, Gary, we would have known. Trump’s DOJ? Come on.”

Not only were the cabalists not prosecuted, they’vegrown rich thanks to their roles in this outrage from book deals, academic slots, and back pay from the government.
If we learned anything this week, we’ve learned that the continued life of this Constitutional Republic is in grave danger from the cabal of sociopaths in critical positions of power, and that it is because scaremongers and a supine press and judiciary have permitted enactment of dangerous legislation and illegal conduct to go on and on unpunished. Worse, the perpetrators are being richly rewarded for their violation of law and public trust.
FISA
Friday the FISC (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court ) released a report that was written and kept under seal since last year.
It found that:
The FBI continued to abuse a powerful digital surveillance tool even after the Bureau promised reforms following its Trump-era abuses, according to a newly-unsealed Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court document.
The FBI misused Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) more than 278,000 times, the Washington Post reported, “including against crime victims, January 6 riot suspects, and people arrested at protests in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd in 2020.” In one particularly egregious case, they reportedly relied on Section 702 to spy on 19,000 donors to a congressional candidate.
Section 702 is a provision of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 that “permits the government to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States, with the compelled assistance of electronic communication service providers, to acquire foreign intelligence information.”
The law, created in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, allows National Security Agency and FBI employees a to search a vast database of electronic communications and other information. The FBI is authorized to search the Section 702 database “only when agents have reason to believe such a search will produce information relevant to foreign intelligence purposes, or evidence of crimes,” according to the Post.
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which oversees Section 702, stated in the memorandum opinion that the FBI has shown “a pattern of conducting broad, suspicionless queries that violate the requirement that its queries of unminimized Section 702 information be reasonably likely to retrieve foreign intelligence information.
The FBI had earlier promised to fix the problems. It clearly did not. The Act which the FBI has continually violated comes up for reauthorization in the next congressional session and should be allowed to expire.
In another context -- the COVID-19 responses of the government and judiciary -- Justice Neil Gorsuch makes a compelling case on how fearmongering has led to great intrusions on civil liberties:
The FISA is another example, in my opinion.
Mark Wauck makes a strong case that in the absence of jailing FBI violators or repealing the Act we should just refuse to reauthorize it.
I agree with the late Judge Robert Bork that FISA is almost certainly unconstitutional. Repeal of FISA will only return the situation to the constitutional status quo, which always allowed for warrantless domestic spying based on appeals to “national security” -- regardless of what “principled constitutional conservatives” may mistakenly believe. That position has never been rejected in court. Warrantless national security surveillance was not illegal before FISA and will not be illegal if FISA is repealed. What is illegal is intentional violation of civil rights.
The crazy idea that by passing a law we can alter fundamental human behavior is as foolish as the idea that by adopting a written constitution we can institute a system of governance that will be impervious to human flaws and will be self-executing. Consider -- whatever happened to the war making power that has been, as far as I can tell, completely usurped by the ruling oligarchy. The only remedy for abuses of government authority is active and informed public participation in the electoral process, coupled with aggressive legislative oversight. The effect of a law like FISA, as Judge Bork presciently pointed out, is:
It provides an excuse for our elected representatives to look the other way most of the time;
It provides a platform upon which our elected representatives can grandstand and signal their own virtue to the general public -- that was largely what FISA was all about in the first place, and Congress left themselves a convenient loophole for emergency surveillance;
It offers the perpetrators of the abuses a ready excuse and ensures that they will, ultimately, remain unpunished and free to continue as before, based on the plea of ignorance and incompetence;
The result will always be the bandaid approach that leads to a repetition of all the above.
Retaliation Against Whistleblowers
Hearings this week revealed the Agency took draconian measures against three agents who, as the law permits them to do without retaliation, were brutally treated by the FBI for protected reporting of misconduct.
The FBI’s Washington Field Office (WFO) pressured a field office in Boston, Massachusetts, to open investigations on 138 individuals who traveled to Washington, D.C., to exercise their First Amendment rights on January 6, 2021, with no specific indication that these people were involved in any way in criminal activity. The only basis for investigating these people was that they shared buses to Washington with two individuals who entered restricted areas of the Capitol that day. Rather than limiting the investigation to just the two people who entered restricted areas, the WFO instructed the Boston Field Office to open investigations on all 140 individuals who attended the political rally.
In response to the WFO’s pressure to open investigations into all 140 individuals, the Boston Field Office asked the WFO for more evidence, including video from the Capitol, to properly predicate the investigations. The WFO provided pictures of the two individuals inside the Capitol; however, the WFO refused to provide video evidence from the Capitol out of fear it would disclose undercover officers or confidential human sources inside the Capitol.
Shortly after the events of January 6, 2021, Bank of America (BoA) provided the FBI with confidential customer data -- voluntarily and without any legal process. BoA gave WFO a list of individuals who had made transactions in the Washington, D.C. area using a BoA product between January 5 and January 7, 2021. Individuals who had previously purchased a firearm with a BoA product were reportedly elevated to the top of the list. [snip]
FBI leadership pressured agents to reclassify cases as domestic violent extremism (DVE), and even manufactured DVE cases where they may not otherwise exist, while manipulating its case categorization system to create the perception that DVE is organically rising around the country.
The FBI dispenses cash bonuses to local field office leadership for meeting certain arbitrary metrics and performance goals. This bonus structure creates perverse incentives for the FBI to utilize law-enforcement tools and resources where they may not be needed or appropriate in order for FBI leadership to benefit financially.
These FBI employees have come forward to blow the whistle at great personal and professional risk. Each of these whistleblowers described retaliatory conduct that they have faced after making protected disclosures about what they believed in good faith to be wrong conduct. A recurring theme is that the FBI has violated federal whistleblower protection laws and abused its security clearance review process to hamstring the brave agents who exercise their right to make protected disclosures to Congress or who dared to question agency leadership. For example:
Special Agent [Garret] O’Boyle made protected disclosures to his Supervisory Special Agent about potentially illegal activity, and the FBI transferred him to a new unit that required him to move his family across-country. When O’Boyle arrived for his first day, the FBI placed him on unpaid, indefinite suspension, effectively rendering his “family homeless” and leaving them without any personal effects -- including his young children’s clothing -- because these items were in FBI storage.
Likewise, in Special Agent [Steve] Friend’s case, the FBI suspended his security clearance after making protected disclosures. This suspension rendered Friend unable to fulfill his duties as a special agent -- thus, the FBI suspended him indefinitely. While on suspension, the FBI refused to allow Friend to obtain outside employment, leaving his family without income.
In Staff Operations Specialist Allen’s case, the FBI suspended his security clearance for simply performing duties of his job -- conducting case-related research using open-source news articles and videos and sending his search results to his task force colleagues.
The FBI leadership’s trend toward political partisanship in recent years has disturbed the ranks of front-line FBI agents like O’Boyle, Friend, and [George] Hill. In the words of one whistleblower, the current state of the FBI is “cancerous” as the Bureau has “let itself become enveloped in this politicization and weaponization.” This testimony supplements earlier disclosures from whistleblowers, highlighted in the Committee’s November 2022 report, in which whistleblowers described the FBI’s Washington leadership as “rotted at its core” and having a “systemic culture of unaccountability.”
This only underscores the observations about the likelihood of unpunished violations of citizens’ rights expressed above by Judge Bork and Mark Wauck. The Congress has ceded too much power to the Agency, repeated legal violations go unpunished, and the violations only become more egregious as a result.
The Durham Report
The Durham Report is a damning indictment of the Mueller report which preceded it. It “makes clear that the collusion probe failed to investigate how the collusion probe began as a dirty trick by the Clinton campaign and how the FBI went along for the ride.”
“The report includes evidence that those engaged in the FBI’s initial Crossfire Hurricane probe and Democratic attorneys used their positions on the Mueller investigating team to cover up the FBI mess… Mueller hired for his team FBI agent Peter Strzok, FBI analyst Brian Auten, and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, the very people who were main figures in the Crossfire fiasco.”
The Wall Street Journal uses as an example the fact that the Mueller team never were allowed to interview Democrat Charles Dolan, reportedly a source for the Steele dossier, an unfounded document that supposedly was a predicate for the investigation of “collusion.” Durham found that the Russians may have compromised Steele’s sources even before he began to write and peddle to Democratic press lackeys the preposterous dossier.
That was not all: Durham found that the FBI knowingly relied on Igor Danchenko. Danchenko had been undercover as a possible Russian spy yet he was hired to investigate whether Trump colluded with Russia. The notion that Mueller was compromised, drunk, or demented when he headed this investigation is hard to dismiss.
No Consequences
Professor Jonathan Turley likens the Durham findings to Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express: They all did it -- “the Clinton campaign, the FBI, and the media… It was a plot that required everyone to take a hand in derailing a duly elected president and effectively shutting down his administration for three years of investigations and prosecutions. In this conspiracy there were dozens of key participants in the campaign, the government, and the media.”
Durham’s operation, however, was not without its flaws. Hired as a prosecutor, he prosecuted only one member of the cabal. He never even subpoenaed key figures like Comey, McCabe, and Strzok. (I suspect because he knows the courts and jurors in the District of Columbia operate as another branch of the Democratic party -- recall that the Ken Starr team announced they believed Hillary Clinton had committed perjury but declined to indict her because they believed no D.C. jury would convict her.) Former attorney general William Barr praised the report, saying that Durham was not charged to prosecute the wrongdoers, only to investigate and find the truth, which he did.
Not only were the cabalists not prosecuted, they’ve grown rich thanks to their roles in this outrage from book deals, academic slots, and back pay from the government.

The main objective of “political animals” like Obama and the Clintons is to get elected; it’s not to fix a broken America, nor to protect her. There are people who govern and there are people who campaign; Obama and the Clintons are the latter. Just look at the huge Republican electoral gains under Obama and the Clintons. It’s amazing that Democrats who still care about their party still support the very people who have brought it down.
Victorious Democrats would also end congressional investigations into the Hillary-Deep State-DNC-Russian-Clinton Foundation collusion and corruption. As the media and other Democrats salivate about Trump being charged with a crime in one of the many witch hunts, they should be asked some questions. They say he must be charged because we need election fairness and no one is above the law.

It was a clear violation of the First Amendment, yet every participant of the government was above the law. They destroyed computers and lied to Congress, but the Justice Department let them off.
The U.S. Justice Department has reached a settlement with dozens of conservative groups that claimed the Internal Revenue Service unfairly scrutinized them based on their political leanings when they sought a tax-exempt status, court documents showed.
The Justice Department was involved from the start.
The documents prove that Lois Lerner met with DOJ’s Election Crimes Division a month before the 2010 elections.
It has to be embarrassing to the DOJ, which may not be the most impartial one to be investigating the IRS. In fact, the DOJ withheld over 800 pages of Lerner documents citing "taxpayer privacy" and "deliberative privilege." Yet these internal DOJ documents show Ms. Lerner was talking to DOJ officials about prosecuting tax-exempt entities (yes, criminally!) two years before the IRS conceded there was inappropriate targeting.
It sure helps a criminal when a biased political supporter conducts the pretend investigation.

Hunter's business partner visited the White House sixteen times while Joe was VP yet somehow the media, who say they care about facts and corruption, still don't care. Democrats also pretend that Joe is telling the truth when he said he never had anything to do with Hunter's business deal and that he and his family never received money from foreign sources.
Isn't it time that journalists and other Democrats stopped intentionally misleading the public that they believe the Justice Department is impartial and that no one is above the law. It is such an obvious lie -- yet none of the people pretending to be fact checkers call them out because they are just as dishonest.

Joe Biden has been a pathological liar for all his years in Congress, as a representative and then as a senator. He can’t open his mouth without lies spewing forth; there are far too many to list. From his early support of segregation to his later denial; his plagiarism, his lies about his academic record, etc., etc.
He is entirely without “knowledge” now; he is obviously in the throes of dementia. How else to explain his shocking inappropriate jollity when he was sent to a podium to speak about the Nashville murders of six people, three of them aged nine?
Biden has always been a liar; he became a traitor when he began using his position, his son, and brother to sell influence to China, Russia and Ukraine for millions of dollars. Given the damage he’s done to the country in two years, it is safe to assume he is a controlled asset of China. They own him, which is why he has allowed the destruction of the dollar as the global currency.
Every American surely knows by now that the Democrat party is pro-criminal, anti-dissent. In blue states across the nation, criminals are routinely allowed onto the streets without bail to commit more crime. Innocent people are being attacked with impunity on a daily basis in DC, in NY, Chicago, SF, and LA, etc.
If the perpetrators are caught, they are often released onto an unsuspecting public by Soros-funded DAs to repeat and escalate their criminal behavior. Our Marxist left relies on chaos, on the calculated destruction of the family, on the thorough indoctrination of our children.
How do they go about this decades-old plan? They advocate for the normalization of homosexuality, transgenderism and the genital mutilation that comes with that particular form of mental illness. The pro-trans activists encourage doctors to remove the breasts of girls as young as thirteen, even hysterectomies.
Who are the doctors that perform these procedures? They are purely evil, traitors to the Hippocratic Oath they may have sworn to uphold. The lies that undergird the ideology of transgenderism are not only appalling but provable. There are only two sexes. It is tragic that there is a Supreme Court justice that does not know what every three-year-old knows.
The appearance of Alejandro Mayorkas before the Senate on Tuesday was the height of prevarication. The man did not answer a single question. He stonewalled, dissembled and flat-out lied. He claimed not to know how many migrants have died on their journey to our southern border. He did not know how many children have been trafficked.
When Senator Cruz showed him pictures of the wrist bands that all migrants wear as ordered by the cartels, Mayorkas pretended not to know what they were. The bands indicate how much money each migrant owes the cartels for getting them across the border. There is no way Mayorkas does not know what they are, what they mean; the children especially will be slaves to the cartels. This man is truly abhorrent, another enemy of America in a position of undeserved power.
That the Republicans in congress have not impeached him is a testament to their culpability, their slavish cowardice. But they’ve also done nothing about the unconstitutional abuse of the J6 prisoners, so what more can we expect? The uniparty is the uniparty. The few who do remember and revere the Constitution are too few and their meek colleagues offer no support. They too, like the doctors who mutilate kids confused about their gender, have forgotten their oath. They too are liars and traitors.

The Biden cabinet is an assemblage of incompetents, people chosen for their skin color or sexual orientation, not any particular skill or expertise. The House panel investigating the Biden family’s business deals recently announced that it has already found over $10 million in payments from foreign sources going to more than 20 LLCs set up while Joe Biden was vice president. And the committee’s work is just beginning.
Of course, none of this is news to Peter Schweizer, who first reported this story in 2018. Schweizer and co-host Eric Eggers discuss the new findings on the newest episode of The Drill Down. What more will the committee likely confirm with witness testimony and more financial records?
The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, chaired by Rep. James Comer (R-TN), has yet to get access to records for Joe Biden’s private phone or bank accounts linked to the biggest Biden deal of them all — the $1.5 billion dollar investment deal between Hunter Biden’s business and an arm of the Chinese government, which he secured after traveling aboard Air Force Two with his father, then vice president, to China in December 2012.
The House Committee has not yet received documentation related to that business, Peter tells Eric. “They are not yet including the money from Rosemont Realty or from Bohai Harvest Rosemont (BHR), which included that $1.5 billion dollar investment deal,” Peter says. He expects that $10 million dollar figure to rise when they do.
The House Oversight Committee said its investigation so far shows activities of the Biden family and its associates “bear clear indicia of a scheme to peddle influence,” and that, “activities in coordination with Chinese nationals and their corporate entities appear to be an attempt to engage in financial deception.”
Even at this early stage of the committee’s investigation, Schweizer said that the payments from foreign sources to the family of the current President of the United States are unacceptable.
“Even if we haven’t seen a direct link to Joe yet, is this acceptable behavior?” Schweizer asked. “Do we really think it’s okay for our political families – family members of the Treasury Secretary, the President, the Vice President, or the Senate Majority Leader – to start taking in millions of dollars of cash from China?”
Four in ten likely voters believe Congress should begin impeachment proceedings on President Joe Biden, a Rasmussen Reports survey revealed on Thursday.
The survey found 42 percent of likely voters indicating that Congress should begin impeachment proceedings against Biden, while 45 percent said lawmakers should not. While most Republicans (70 percent) believe Congress should and most Democrats (71 percent) believe Congress should not, independents remain relatively divided. Forty percent of independents do not believe Congress should begin impeachment proceedings on the 80-year-old president, compared to 39 percent who believe lawmakers should do so.
Further, 53 percent across the board believe it is at least somewhat likely that since taking office, Biden has committed “high crimes and misdemeanors that would justify Congress impeaching him.” Of those, 38 percent said it is “very” likely. Notably, more than one-third of Democrats also believe it is at least somewhat likely, as do 48 percent of independents.
However, when asked how likely it is that Congress will pursue impeachment proceedings against Biden, voters have their doubts. Most, 66 percent, believe it is at least not very likely, and of those, 29 percent believe it is “not at all likely.”

Significantly more men (58%) than women voters (48%) believe it’s likely Biden has committed high crimes and misdemeanors since becoming president, and men are also more likely to favor Congress beginning impeachment proceedings.
Voters under 40 are much less likely than their elders to think it is Very Likely that Biden has committed impeachable offenses as president, but older voters are less likely to believe Congress actually will pursue impeachment.
The survey was taken May 11 and 14-15, 2023, among 996 likely voters. It has a +/- 3 percent margin of error. It coincides with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announcing articles of impeachment against Biden.

FBI Misused Surveillance Powers Nearly 300,000 Times in 2 Years, Unsealed Court Document Says
The FBI misused its powerful digital surveillance powers nearly 300,000 times between 2020 and early 2021, including against January 6 protesters, according to a newly unsealed court document.
The powers, authorized by Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), allows FBI agents to search a database of electronic communications and other information, meant to look for foreign intelligence or terrorist activity.
According to the April 2022 court opinion written by Judge Rudolph Contreras, FBI employees ran 23,132 separate queries of presumed Americans “to find evidence of possible foreign influence,” although the analyst conducting the searches had “no indications of foreign influence related to the query term used.”
FBI employees conducted searches during the summer when violent protests erupted around the nation over George Floyd’s death. The FBI in June 2020 searched data for 133 people arrested in connection with “civil unrest and protests between approximatedly May 30, and June 18, 2020.” The FBI also conducted 656 queries around that time to vet people as informants, according to the filing.
The FBI also searched the communications of 19,000 donors to an unnamed congressional candidate, because the campaign was allegedly a target of foreign influence.
Senior FBI officials claimed to the Washington Post that the problems cited in the opinion have been fixed already.
“We’re not trying to hide from this stuff, but this type of noncompliance is unacceptable,” a senior FBI official told the outlet. Another senior law enforcement official claimed, “There was confusion historically about what the query standard was.
However, even Democrat Sen. Ron Wyden (OR) criticized the agency after the document was unsealed.
“There is important, secret information about how the government has interpreted Section 702 that Congress and the American people need to see before the law is renewed,” Wyden said in a statement. The law is set to expire by the end of the year unless renewed by Congress.
Just this week, Special Counsel John Durham released his final report, which blasted FBI officials for a lack of integrity when pursuing an investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016. The report said the FBI used unverified opposition research funded by the Clinton campaign to obtain four secret surveillance warrants against Trump campaign advisers, withholding exculpatory information from the FISA court.
Contreras wrote that “Compliance problems with the querying of Section 702 information have proven to be persistent and widespread.”
“If they are not substantially mitigated by these recent measures, it may become necessary to consider other responses, such as substantially limiting the number of FBI personnel with access to unminimized Section 702 information,” he wrote.
Special Counsel John Durham’s highly-anticipated report on the origins of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016 revealed that top leaders at the Bureau shut down four criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton.
In 2014, the FBI investigated a “well-placed” confidential source’s claims that an unnamed foreign government intended to “contribute to Hillary Clinton’s anticipated presidential campaign, as a way to gain influence with Clinton should she win the presidency,” the report said.
The field office investigating these claims “almost immediately” sought a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant, but it remained “in limbo” for approximately four months, primarily due to Clinton’s then-expected presidential campaign.
According to another agent, the application lingered because “everyone was ‘super more careful’” and “scared with the big name [Clinton]” involved. 321 “[T]hey were pretty “tippy-toeing’ around HRC because there was a chance she would be the next President.”
Durham’s report also revealed that three separate FBI field offices in Washington, DC; Little Rock, Arkansas; and New York City, New York, opened investigations into “possibly criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation” less than one year before the November 2016 presidential election.
One of these investigations was spawned by Breitbart News contributor Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash, which exposed the Clinton Foundation’s global nexus of influence peddling.
Beginning in January 2016, three different FBI field offices, the New York Field Office (“NYFO*), the Washington Field Office (“WFO*), and the Little Rock Field Office (“LRFO**), opened investigations into possible criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation. The IRFO case opening communication referred to an intelligence product and corroborating financial reporting that a particular commercial “industry likely engaged a federal public official in a flow of benefits scheme, namely, large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of the federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and/or influence.” The WFO investigation was opened as a preliminary investigation, because the Case Agent wanted to determine if he could develop additional information to corroborate the allegations in a recently-published book, Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer, before seeking to convert the matter to a full investigation. Additionally, the LRFO and NYFO investigations included predication based on source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton.
Speaking with the DailyMail, Schweizer said he received “a call from somebody from the New York FBI office after the book came out.”
“There was a New York Times piece on Uranium One. It was kind of confirming what we had in the book. That’s what I think triggered the interest,” Schweizer said. “With the Clinton Foundation, you have the transfer of large sums of money, you had policy positions that were affected, and you had certifiable evidence.”
“I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say what was illegal. But there was definitely a there there, with all the speeches, donations, and policy effects, and nobody’s ever really disputed that,” he added.
Ultimately, FBI leadership held a joint meeting with the three field offices, FBI Headquarters, and appropriate United States Attorney’s offices. The first joint meeting occurred on February 1, 2016. However, the Department of Justice Public Integrity Section Chief, Ray Hulser, said the FBI briefing at that meeting was “poorly presented,” and saw “insufficient predication for at least one of the investigations.”
A second joint meeting occurred on February 22, 2016, which former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe chaired.
McCabe “initially directed the field offices to close their cases,” but later agreed to “reconsider the final disposition of the cases,” Durham’s report noted.
Paul Abbate, who was the FBI Washington Field Office’s Assistant Director-in-Charge at the time, described McCabe’s demeanor during the joint meeting as “negative,” “annoyed,” and “angry.”
According to Abbate, McCabe stated “they [the Department] say there’s nothing here” and “why are we even doing this?” At the close of the meeting, [FBI Criminal Investigative Division Assistant Director Joe] Campbell directed that for any overt investigative steps to be taken, the Deputy Director’s approval would be required.
Durham’s report also revealed that former FBI Director James Comey demanded, through an intermediary, the New York Field Office “cease and desist” their Clinton Foundation investigation.
Earlier in the week, McCabe claimed the Durham report was “never a legitimate investigation.”
“We knew from the very beginning exactly what John Durham was going to conclude, and that’s what we saw today. We knew from the very beginning this was never a legitimate investigation,” McCabe said. “This was a political errand to exact some sort of retribution on Donald Trump’s perceived enemies and the FBI.”
Durham’s report highlighted the FBI’s different approaches regarding their investigations into Clinton and former President Donald Trump.
“The use of defensive briefings in 2015 contrasts with the FBI’s failure to provide a defensive briefing to the Trump campaign approximately one year later when Australia shared the information from Papadopoulos,” the report stated.
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee’s Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee, told the DailyMail that Durham’s report warrants “additional exposure and review.”
“The Clintons had a team of people at the FBI running interference for them to avoid criminal culpability,” Gaetz told the outlet. “These matters absolutely warrant additional exposure and review.”
Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) said the FBI’s investigations into the Clintons “were shut down by the higher-ups who had an obvious political desire to see Donald Trump lose and Hillary Clinton win.”
“It’s disgusting really. Absolutely these investigations should be revisited,” he told DailyMail. “There’s no reason why Congress can’t have a series of hearings with the field agents who were pursuing the Clinton Foundation, and public interviews with them as well.”
The Justice Department did not deny the existence of a record alleging a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden, the House Oversight Committee confirmed to Breitbart News Wednesday.
On May 3, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed the FBI for records alleging the criminal scheme. The document, an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions between now-President Biden and a foreign national. Comer issued the subpoena following legally protected disclosures by a whistleblower to Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) office.
Wednesday was the deadline for the DOJ to submit the document allegedly in the agency’s possession. But instead of handing over the alleged information, Christopher Dunham, the DOJ’s acting assistant director in the office of congressional affairs, wrote to Comer that such information is “sensitive law enforcement” material and refused to readily provide it, a letter obtained by Breitbart News shows:
“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee,” Comer said in a statement. “We’ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record, but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations. The FBI has failed to do both.”
Comer demanded the FBI comply with the subpoena. “The FBI’s position is ‘trust, but you aren’t allowed to verify.’ That is unacceptable. We plan to follow up with the FBI and expect compliance with the subpoena,” said Comer.
Grassley issued a similar statement, noting that taxpayers bankroll the FBI’s salaries.
“So the question remains, what did the FBI do to investigate very serious allegations from an apparent trusted FBI source implicating then-Vice President Biden?” he questioned.
“Today’s letter from the FBI raises additional questions, including whether the FBI has an open investigation based on these allegations,” Grassley continued. “The American people pay the FBI’s salaries, and they’re entitled to a fulsome response.”
The FBI missed a Wednesday deadline to provide Congress with an internal document that allegedly details a bribery scheme involving a foreign national and Joe Biden when he served as vice president.
Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, subpoenaed the FBI last week for the document, which he says is an internal FBI report from June 2020 that details a scheme involving Biden and a foreign national. A whistleblower told Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) about the document, which provides "a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed," according to the Republicans.
The whistleblower is the latest to come forward with allegations about Biden and his family. An IRS investigator is seeking whistleblower protections in order to provide Congress with evidence that the Justice Department has pulled punches in its tax investigation of Hunter Biden.
The Republicans said Wednesday that the FBI provided a response to their subpoena, but failed to hand over the document, which is known as a FD-1023. The FBI uses those forms to detail interviews with confidential informants and other sources.
"It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee," Comer said.
Grassley said that the FBI’s offer of "an accommodation process" related to the document indicates that it is "real."
"So the question remains, what did the FBI do to investigate very serious allegations from an apparent trusted FBI source implicating then-Vice President Biden?" said Grassley.
A Romanian businessman charged in a bribery scheme funneled more than $1 million to Hunter Biden and other Biden family members as then-vice president Joe Biden preached anti-corruption measures in Romania, according to a House Oversight Committee investigation.
The businessman, Gabriel Popoviciu, wired more than $3 million to the account of longtime Biden associate Rob Walker from November 2015 to May 2017. Of that, Walker wired $1,038,627 to the accounts of Hunter Biden, his uncle Jim Biden, and his late brother's widow, Hallie Biden. Sixteen of the 17 wire payments were made while Joe Biden was in office, according to the House report.
Biden was in Romania in 2014, a year before the payments began, and called corruption a "cancer" and a "form of tyranny" before the Romanian prime minister and parliament. The May 21, 2014, speech caught the eye of Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee.
This is the latest example of a scandal-plagued foreign national paying Hunter Biden during his father's White House tenure. Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company investigated for bribery, hired the younger Biden to serve on its board of directors in 2014, when Joe Biden was in charge of anti-corruption initiatives in Ukraine.
"While Vice President Biden was lecturing Romania on anti-corruption policy, in reality he was a walking billboard for his son and family to collect money," Comer said at a press conference Wednesday.
Republicans called on the Justice Department to investigate what they called a massive money-laundering operation, in which more than $10 million in foreign money was funneled to the Biden family through a network of shell companies. In addition to the Popoviciu wires, Republicans detailed millions of dollars in wire transfers to Biden family entities from the Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC China Energy.
Republicans noted that Joe Biden publicly pressured Romanian leaders on corruption while his son was taking millions from a scandal-plagued businessman. In September 2015, a year after his trip to Romania, the then-vice president discussed anti-corruption initiatives with Romanian president Klaus Iohannis at the White House.
Hunter Biden and his associates began working for Popoviciu in 2015, as Popoviciu faced an investigation for fraud and bribery. The younger Biden recruited former FBI director Louis Freeh, a longtime family friend, to work on the case. Freeh leaned on his FBI contacts, State Department officials, and Romanian officials to intervene in the case, according to emails from Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop.
Popoviciu in 2017 was sentenced to seven years in prison on charges of fraud and bribery.
Comer said Wednesday that the information about Popoviciu's wire transfers came from bank records, which the Oversight Committee subpoenaed as part of its investigation into the Biden family's foreign business deals. Comer said he plans to subpoena additional bank documents as the investigation shifts into a "new phase."
Republicans said they are also investigating Hunter Biden's relationship with Vuk Jeremić, a former Serbian foreign minister who worked for CEFC China Energy. Jeremić contacted Biden in December 2015 to arrange a meeting with CEFC chairman Ye Jianming, according to emails from Biden's abandoned laptop.
Republicans said that State Energy HK, a subsidiary of CEFC, made $3 million in "suspect donations" to Jeremić's Serbia-based think tank, the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development, in 2015 and 2016. State Energy HK in 2017 wired $3 million to Rob Walker's company, of which around $1 million was wired to Biden family accounts.
In June 2016, Hunter Biden arranged for Jeremić to meet his father's then-national security adviser, Colin Kahl, as Jeremić sought support for his campaign for United Nations secretary general, the Washington Free Beaconreported.
Jeremić and Hunter Biden both worked with Patrick Ho, a CEFC executive who was convicted in 2018 of attempting to bribe African officials for oil drilling rights. Jeremić arranged Ho's meeting with the African officials. CEFC paid Biden $1 million to provide legal services to Ho.
Republicans said that Jeremić declined to cooperate with the Oversight Committee but that they intend to obtain documents from Jeremić about his relationship with CEFC, Hunter Biden, and Kahl.
The Biden family business over the course of several years received over $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China in return for what appears to be influence peddling, bank documents obtained Wednesday by Breitbart News from the House Oversight Committee show.
In total, Biden family members and business associates designed a web of over 20 companies, many of which were formed during Joe Biden’s vice presidency, the committee revealed. In total, the Biden family, business associates, and companies received over $10 million from foreign nationals’ companies, the committee found.
The funds appear to contradict President Joe Biden’s claims that his family received no money from China. The funds also raise questions about what the Biden family returned in terms of services or products for the money received.
Romanian Transactions
From November 2015 to May 2017, Bladon Enterprises paid Robinson Walker, LLC over $3 million. Bladon Enterprises is reported to be Gabriel Popoviciu’s Cypriot company that he used to conduct business in Romania. Robinson Walker is the Biden family business partner who collectedly sent the Biden family $1.3 million to the family.
The Biden family accounts received approximately $1.038 million from the Robinson Walker, LLC account after Bladon Enterprises deposits, the committee revealed based upon wire transfers. In total, 16 of the 17 payments from Bladon Enterprises to Robinson Walker, LLC were made while Joe Biden was vice president.
According to the committee, the payments began to flow to Robinson Walker, LLC just after Vice President Biden welcomed Romanian President Klaus Iohannis to the White House on September 28, 2015.
A readout of the meeting stated that the “Vice President welcomed President Iohannis’ focus on anti-corruption efforts and rule of law as a means to strengthen national security and promote greater investment and economic growth.” Iohannis said Joe Biden “voiced satisfaction over Romania’s progress with the fight against corruption.”
One year prior, on May 21, 2014, then-vice president Joe Biden visited Romania and delivered a speech addressed to the Romanian Prime Minister, judges, prosecutors, and leaders of the parliament. At the time of the speech, Romanian prosecutors were investigating Popoviciu, who was later charged and convicted with bribery-related offenses.
As Breitbart News previously reported, Hunter Biden began working for Popoviciu in the spring of 2015. According to Hunter Biden’s calendar, he met with Joe Biden three times from July 2015 to March 2016 about helping Popoviciu with a “conviction stemming from his purchase of a 550-acre parcel of government-owned land for a steep discount,” the New York Post reported.
Chinese Transactions
Bank records from the committee show that between August 2017 and October 2018, Hudson West III, a company co-managed by Hunter Biden, sent over $4 million to Hunter Biden related companies and over $75,000 to James Biden related companies. Gongwen Dong and Hunter Biden were each 50 percent owners of Hudson West II, bank records obtained by the committee show. According to an email verified by the Washington Post and Hunter Biden, Gongwen Dong served as “Chairman Ye[’s] CEFC emissary” in the United States.
Closely connected to the Chinese Communist Party, CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming also paid Hunter a $1 million retainer fee for legal services in 2017. Hunter also received a large diamond from Ye worth an estimated $80,000 in February 2017.
In addition, the committee revealed that Hunter Biden received an additional $100,000 that was sent from Shanghai Huaxin in China. The money was apparently a part of a CEFC deal with Ye and Dong.
According to the committee, on May 11, 2017, Dong formed CEFC Infrastructure in Delaware. Hudson West V, a company that formed a partnership with Hunter Biden, was the sole equity member of CEFC Infrastructure. Dong identified himself as the Director of Hudson West V and listed its address as Xicheng District Beijing, China, banking documents show.
One week later, Hudson West V assigned 100 percent of its interest to Shanghai Huaxin Group Limited (Shanghai Huaxin), a company incorporated in China. On June 30, 2017, Shanghai Huaxin funded the CEFC Infrastructure bank account with an injection of $10 million.
About one month later, CEFC Infrastructure wired $100,000 to Owasco P.C, Hunter Biden’s law firm.
The above payments are in addition to what the committee already revealed. On April 17, Comer announced a total of nine Biden family members may have profited from the family’s international business schemes, six more than previously disclosed. Those currently identified on the payroll are Hunter, James, Hallie Biden — and a fourth unidentified Biden. On April 25, the committee teased releasing the identities it has so far concealed. A spokesperson for the committee declined to reveal the identities at that time.
Collectively, the identified family members received $1.3 million from a Biden associate, who was wired $3 million dollars from a Chinese energy company two months after President Joe Biden left the vice presidency.

Breitbart Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’s investigative work at the New York Post on the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” also captured international headlines when she, along with Miranda Devine, revealed that Joe Biden was intimately involved in Hunter’s businesses, appearing to have a ten percent stake in a company the scion formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.
The least honorable president in American history had a softball interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle on Friday, in which he uttered one of the most outlandish lies of his entire life, which has been filled with his outlandish lies: “I think I’ve proven myself to be honorable, as well as effective.” As Matt Margolis noted Sunday, this was in the course of a paean of boasting from Old Joe Biden that included praise of his own wisdom and experience. But now Joe Biden would have us believe that he is honorable, too? Come on, man! This guy lies every time his lips move.
The part about Old Joe being effective, however, was actually true. If Biden wanted to weaken America (politically, militarily, and economically), erase the Southern border, antagonize our friends as well as our enemies worldwide, and advance the Left’s socialist, authoritarian agenda at the expense of the American people, then he has indeed done a bang-up job. If, on the other hand, he is really as America-First as he has been pretending to be lately, now that the 2024 campaign season is approaching, then he has been a galloping disaster as president, and just the opposite of effective. It all depends on your point of view, you see, and since Old Joe’s administration is dedicated to calling opposing views “disinformation” and silencing them accordingly, pretty soon we will all have to agree that his presidency has been remarkably effective.
But honorable? That Old Joe would even dare say this is staggering. The man is the most dedicated and relentless liar ever to occupy the Oval Office, and we’re talking here about a job that has been held by such skillful prevaricators as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Richard M. Nixon. Biden has lied throughout his political career and long before it even started: on Dec. 1, 1965, the faculty of the Syracuse College of Law published a report about Young Joe, stating that Biden “used five pages from a published law review article without quotation or attribution” and recommended that he fail a legal methods course because of his plagiarism.
For years, Biden was so craven as to lie about the central tragedy of his life, the auto accident that took the life of his first wife Neilia. Old Joe repeatedly claimed that she was killed by a drunk driver; the driver, however, was not drunk, and the real story was that Neilia drove into the path of the oncoming truck. The driver’s daughter repeatedly asked Biden to apologize for lying about her father, who was driven into a deep depression by Biden’s public lies. True to dishonorable form, Old Joe never did apologize. Then in Sept. 1987, Biden torpedoed his own presidential campaign when he delivered a speech that lifted an entire story of his early life from a speech by British Labour leader Neil Kinnock.
The lying has continued since Old Joe began pretending to be president, and has gotten so bad, and so obvious, that the New YorkTimes felt it necessary back in Oct. 2022 to do some damage control, informing us that “Biden, Storyteller in Chief, Spins Yarns That Often Unravel.” That’s all it is, see. It’s not as if he were a deeply dishonest man or anything like that. But even the Times couldn’t make Joe look good when it started ticking off some examples: “The exaggerated biography that Mr. Biden tells includes having been a fierce civil rights activist who was repeatedly arrested. He has claimed to have been an award-winning student who earned three degrees. And last week, speaking on the hurricane-devastated island of Puerto Rico, he said he had been ‘raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically.’”
The lies have gone on and on. On the campaign trail in 2019, he told a story about a Navy captain who tried to refuse a Silver Star after trying and failing to save a wounded comrade. The story wasn’t true, as even the Washington Postadmitted, but instead of discarding it after it was publicly revealed to be false, Old Joe made it about his family. In Dec. 2022, Biden retold the same story, but this time it was about his uncle Frank being awarded a Purple Heart. That version was a lie as well. And most recently, Biden has been insisting that his notorious son Hunter has “done nothing wrong.”
Old Joe Biden is a lot of things. “Honorable” isn’t even close to being one of them.
Biden, long known as Delaware’s “senator from DuPont,” Biden served on committees that were most sensitive to the interests of the ruling class, including the Judiciary Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee. He supported the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act in 1999, a milestone in the deregulation of the banks, and other right-wing measures. After nearly four decades in the Senate, Biden became Obama’s vice president, helping to oversee the massive bailout of Wall Street following the 2008 financial crisis and the subsequent restructuring of class relations to benefit the rich. That included the bailout of General Motors and Chrysler, based on a 50 percent cut in the pay of all newly hired autoworkers.
GOP Rep. Comer: ‘We’re Following the Money — All Roads Lead to Joe’

DOOCY: Ninety minutes until your big press conference. What are we going to learn today?
COMER: Well, the American people are going to see just exactly what the Biden family has been engaged in. We all heard Joe Biden say during the presidential debate that his family never received any money from China. We’re going to learn today whether or not that was a truthful statement. We’ve heard Joe Biden say he didn’t have any knowledge of his family’s shady business dealings. We’re going to learn today whether or not that’s true.
And I think the American people, especially the conservatives out there who work hard and pay their taxes and watch “FOX & Friends” every day, they’re frustrated that they see all these things that the Biden family’s done that any other family in America would have already been punished for but yet it doesn’t seem like — like anything happens.
And I want them to know that the House Oversight Committee is digging. We’re trying to bring the truth and present the facts to the American people about this family. And it’s been very difficult. What you’re going to see in this press conference today is, they set up many different shell companies.
DOOCY: Right.
COMER: They had transactions — you know, multiple transactions to try to disguise who the sender of the money was, which oftentimes it was foreign nationals. And — and then the money would eventually end up in — in the Biden personal accounts.
So, it’s been a very difficult process to obtain the information and to try to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
KILMEADE: OK.
COMER: But we’re going to present what we have thus far this morning.
EARHARDT: Was there a kick-back scheme going on? Was there money in exchange for policy decisions?
COMER: Well, we don’t — you know, there’s a lot of money. And, you know, thus far we’ve only presented $1.3 million, as if that wasn’t enough, that went to three or four Biden family members.
DOOCY: OK.
COMER: After this press conference, that number’s going to be significantly higher. And the question arises, what were these family members doing to receive this money? I mean all the — the — the material that’s on the laptop that we have with respect to presentations that Hunter was privy to with the Chinese, show that when they would talk about Hunter Biden they would say, through his connections from his family and friends —
DOOCY: Right.
KILMEADE: Wow.
COMER: — he has access to the government at the highest level. So, they were peddling Joe Biden’s name to our adversaries all over the world. And we’re going to talk about that today in the press conference.
KILMEADE: The White House statement on this, it — it comes after you. It says “Congressman Comer has a history of playing fast and loose with the facts and spreading baseless innuendo while refusing to conduct the so-called investigations with legitimacy. He has hidden information from public to selectively leak and promote his own hand-picked narratives as part of his overall effort to lob personal attacks at the president and his family. Instead of staging yet another political stunt, Comer and House Republicans should do their job, avoid default without conditions and prevent a devastating economic crash and millions of American jobs” — he’s talking about the debt ceiling.
What’s your response to him saying your credibility is at stake here?
COMER: What — what a joke. I mean, first of all, they’re calling a press conference a political stunt? I remember when our political leaders used to have press conferences and used to answer questions from the media. And I remember when the media used to want to ask substantive questions to our leaders. So, having a press conference disclosing the facts is not a political stunt. And, secondly, bank records don’t lie.
DOOCY: Right.
COMER: And that’s what we are going to present to the American people today, bank records.
DOOCY: OK. OK, so you’re going to — you’re going to — we’re going to see a bunch of bank records. Ultimately, you’re — you’re going to have a narrative, I would imagine, about what happened. But do you know for a fact what happened? Did you talk to anybody in the Biden family and say, OK, why did you get this money, or is it — you know, it is supposition what happened?
And have you found out, Congressman, that any of the Bidens broke any rules? Did they break any laws? Because, ultimately, that’s what the American people want to know. If they broke laws, they should be held accountable. But you’ve got to be able to prove they broke laws. Can you do that?
COMER: Right. Well, as you know, my job is to investigate and present the facts. We’re presenting facts that’s never been presented before. No one has ever seen wire transfers to the Biden family.
Now, you asked if I’ve spoken to the Bidens. I have not. They have lawyered up. What they thought I would do when I got subpoena power at the first of February is they thought I would subpoena the Bidens. They were going to block that, and we would have been tied up in court for two years.
But what — what I did, what our committee has done, is we went in the back door. We knew who some of these shady characters were that were accepting the — the first wire transfers from places like China and then laundering it down to the — to the Biden family.
We subpoenaed their bank accounts and, therefore, we got the transactions to the Bidens through the back door. So, they never thought we would have their bank records. They’ve done everything in their ability to block and obstruct. So, no, I haven’t talked to the Bidens yet. But we’re building the case leading to the Bidens.
KILMEADE: Yes.
COMER: We’re following the money, and all roads lead to Joe.
KILMEADE: They do (ph).
EARHARDT: Did they pay taxes on the money?
COMER: I’m sorry?
EARHARDT: Did they pay taxes on the money?
COMER: Well, that — you know, I doubt that. That’s a good question to ask. The way these LLCs were set up, and Byron Donalds is going to talk about that. He — he’s, you know, an expert in finance. The way these LLCs were set up, one of the reasons, in addition to hiding the sender, was to deceive the IRS. So, it’s very doubtful they paid taxes on this.
KILMEADE: They got 87,000 agents who are probably going to crack down on that, I’m sure.
COMER: Yes, that’s right.
KILMEADE: They’re going to be able to bring (ph) that in there.
EARHARDT: Right.

“The inclusion of Biden grandchildren in the list of family Biden members has not been previously disclosed,” Jonathan Turley posted on Twitter. “The spread of transfers to nine family members and the use of a complex array of LLC companies raise obvious concerns over an effort to conceal influence peddling.”
It is unknown exactly how much money each of the individuals received. But Comer previously detailed that Hunter, James, and Hallie Biden received a collective $1.3 million from entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
On Wednesday, Comer also showed that over $75,000 was sent to James Biden-related companies from China.
Moreover, Comer disclosed that Hunter Biden received $100,000 that was sent from Shanghai Huaxin in China. The money was apparently a part of a CEFC deal with Chairman Ye Jianming, who also paid Hunter a $1 million retainer fee for legal services in 2017. Hunter also received a large diamond from Ye worth an estimated $80,000 in February 2017.

In 2014, the FBI investigated a “well-placed” confidential source’s claims that an unnamed foreign government intended to “contribute to Hillary Clinton’s anticipated presidential campaign, as a way to gain influence with Clinton should she win the presidency,” the report said.
The field office investigating these claims “almost immediately” sought a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant, but it remained “in limbo” for approximately four months, primarily due to Clinton’s then-expected presidential campaign.
According to another agent, the application lingered because “everyone was ‘super more careful’” and “scared with the big name [Clinton]” involved. 321 “[T]hey were pretty “tippy-toeing’ around HRC because there was a chance she would be the next President.”
Durham’s report also revealed that three separate FBI field offices in Washington, DC; Little Rock, Arkansas; and New York City, New York, opened investigations into “possibly criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation” less than one year before the November 2016 presidential election.
One of these investigations was spawned by Breitbart News contributor Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash, which exposed the Clinton Foundation’s global nexus of influence peddling.
Beginning in January 2016, three different FBI field offices, the New York Field Office (“NYFO*), the Washington Field Office (“WFO*), and the Little Rock Field Office (“LRFO**), opened investigations into possible criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation. The IRFO case opening communication referred to an intelligence product and corroborating financial reporting that a particular commercial “industry likely engaged a federal public official in a flow of benefits scheme, namely, large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of the federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and/or influence.” The WFO investigation was opened as a preliminary investigation, because the Case Agent wanted to determine if he could develop additional information to corroborate the allegations in a recently-published book, Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer, before seeking to convert the matter to a full investigation. Additionally, the LRFO and NYFO investigations included predication based on source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton.
Speaking with the DailyMail, Schweizer said he received “a call from somebody from the New York FBI office after the book came out.”
“There was a New York Times piece on Uranium One. It was kind of confirming what we had in the book. That’s what I think triggered the interest,” Schweizer said. “With the Clinton Foundation, you have the transfer of large sums of money, you had policy positions that were affected, and you had certifiable evidence.”
“I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say what was illegal. But there was definitely a there there, with all the speeches, donations, and policy effects, and nobody’s ever really disputed that,” he added.
Ultimately, FBI leadership held a joint meeting with the three field offices, FBI Headquarters, and appropriate United States Attorney’s offices. The first joint meeting occurred on February 1, 2016. However, the Department of Justice Public Integrity Section Chief, Ray Hulser, said the FBI briefing at that meeting was “poorly presented,” and saw “insufficient predication for at least one of the investigations.”
A second joint meeting occurred on February 22, 2016, which former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe chaired.
McCabe “initially directed the field offices to close their cases,” but later agreed to “reconsider the final disposition of the cases,” Durham’s report noted.
Paul Abbate, who was the FBI Washington Field Office’s Assistant Director-in-Charge at the time, described McCabe’s demeanor during the joint meeting as “negative,” “annoyed,” and “angry.”
According to Abbate, McCabe stated “they [the Department] say there’s nothing here” and “why are we even doing this?” At the close of the meeting, Campbell directed that for any overt investigative steps to be taken, the Deputy Director’s approval would be required.
Durham’s report also revealed that former FBI Director James Comey demanded, through an intermediary, the New York Field Office “cease and desist” their Clinton Foundation investigation.
Earlier in the week, McCabe claimed the Durham report was “never a legitimate investigation.”
“We knew from the very beginning exactly what John Durham was going to conclude, and that’s what we saw today. We knew from the very beginning this was never a legitimate investigation,” McCabe said. “This was a political errand to exact some sort of retribution on Donald Trump’s perceived enemies and the FBI.”
Durham’s report highlighted the FBI’s different approaches regarding their investigations into Clinton and former President Donald Trump.
“The use of defensive briefings in 2015 contrasts with the FBI’s failure to provide a defensive briefing to the Trump campaign approximately one year later when Australia shared the information from Papadopoulos,” the report stated.
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee’s Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee, told the DailyMail that Durham’s report warrants “additional exposure and review.”
“The Clintons had a team of people at the FBI running interference for them to avoid criminal culpability,” Gaetz told the outlet. “These matters absolutely warrant additional exposure and review.”
Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) said the FBI’s investigations into the Clintons “were shut down by the higher-ups who had an obvious political desire to see Donald Trump lose and Hillary Clinton win.”
“It’s disgusting really. Absolutely these investigations should be revisited,” he told DailyMail. “There’s no reason why Congress can’t have a series of hearings with the field agents who were pursuing the Clinton Foundation, and public interviews with them as well.”
Special Counsel John Durham’s report largely confirmed what Republicans have said for years about the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. Durham found the FBI opened the probe, known as Crossfire Hurricane, with flimsy evidence, and detailed the FBI’s mishandling of the infamous Steele dossier, which falsely claimed the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.
Durham laid out in painstaking detail the FBI’s misstatements to a federal surveillance court to obtain warrants to surveil Trump campaign aide Carter Page and the Clinton campaign’s hand in spreading false information to smear former president Donald Trump as a Kremlin stooge. Much of that has been laid out in previous investigations and through reports by conservative media outlets.
But there are some surprises in the 320-page report. Here are eight of Durham's most illuminating discoveries:
FBI Ignored "Clinton Plan" Intelligence
In late July 2016, CIA director John Brennan received an intelligence report that Hillary Clinton personally approved a plan on July 26, 2016, to link Trump to Russia in order to distract from the controversy surrounding her emails. Brennan shared the intelligence with then-president Barack Obama, FBI director James Comey, and other government officials.
According to Durham, the FBI should have seen the intelligence report as a "clear warning sign" that the Clinton campaign may try to "manipulate or influence" the 2016 election. Instead, the FBI failed to factor the plan into its decision making for Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.
Indeed, the Clinton campaign was behind two schemes to publicly portray Trump as in bed with Russia. The campaign funded the discredited Steele dossier and fed reporters with a false claim that Trump’s companies had secret communications with Russia’s Alfa Bank. The FBI investigated both threads. The information was also fed to establishment news outlets, fueling years of conspiracy theories that Trump conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
Durham blasted the FBI for its "startling and inexplicable failure" to take the "Clinton plan" into account.
Bureau Brass Killed Clinton Foundation Investigations
Director Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe ordered three FBI field offices to close their preliminary investigations into whether foreign governments and businesses donated to the Clinton family charity in order to influence Hillary Clinton.
According to Durham, McCabe ordered the field offices to close their investigations during a Feb. 22, 2016, meeting at FBI headquarters. Attendees said McCabe asserted that "there’s nothing here" and asked "why are we even doing this?" FBI agents left the meeting frustrated with McCabe’s decision. In May 2016, Comey ordered the New York field office to "cease and desist" from its Clinton Foundation investigation because of an undisclosed counterintelligence issue.
Durham highlighted Comey and McCabe’s intervention in the Clinton Foundation probe to contrast the FBI leaders’ aggressive approach to Crossfire, which the bureau opened based on a single unverified tip from an Australian diplomat regarding a conversation he had in London in May 2016 with Trump aide George Papadopoulos.
"Once again, the investigative actions taken by FBI Headquarters in the Foundation matters contrast with those taken in Crossfire Hurricane," Durham said.
Mueller Team Investigators Worried About Political Influence
Democrats repeatedly defended Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe against allegations of anti-Trump bias. Never mind that one of Mueller’s top prosecutors, Andrew Weissmann, attended Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated victory party on Election Night 2016.
According to Durham, two members of the Mueller team expressed concern that an investigation into the Steele dossier was shut down for political reasons.
A special agent and analyst on the Mueller team told Durham’s office that they were prevented from investigating Charles Dolan, a Democratic operative who was a source for the dossier. The Mueller staffers believed Dolan would help settle lingering questions about the dossier, but leaders of the Mueller team blocked the idea. Dolan also had extensive ties to the Kremlin, which might prove embarrassing for investigators focused on Republican ties to Russia.
According to Durham, the Mueller team analyst speculated "that the decision not to open on Dolan was politically motivated." The analyst said that information about Dolan "ran counter to the narrative that the Mueller Special Counsel investigators were cultivating given that Dolan was a former Democratic political operative." Dolan had advised Clinton’s 2008 campaign and was a volunteer for her 2016 venture.
The Mueller special agent "discussed whether the decision not to open on Dolan was politically motivated, given Dolan's extensive connections to the Democratic Party." The agent said that while she did not believe the decision was political, "she did worry about the optics of the decision, given that Dolan was a prominent Democrat."
The Mueller investigators also expressed concern to Durham that senior Mueller prosecutor Jeannie Rhee ordered them to shut down their investigation of the Steele dossier because it was "not within the scope" of Mueller’s investigation. This puzzled the Mueller team members because investigators had that same month interviewed dossier author Christopher Steele, the report says. Rhee contributed $5,400 to Clinton’s 2016 campaign.
The FBI Thought a Steele Dossier Source Was a Russian Spy. They Paid Him $220K Anyway.
The FBI investigated Igor Danchenko, the primary source for the discredited Steele dossier, as a possible Russian spy in 2010. That has previously been disclosed, but Durham’s report sheds new light on what information the FBI had about Danchenko’s alleged Russian ties.
Danchenko’s classmates at Georgetown University told Durham’s team that Danchenko claimed that he had served in the Russian military and had worked on "special" projects. Danchenko told a classmate that his Russian passport listed him as a member of the GRU, Russia’s military spy service. In 2008, Danchenko allegedly told a colleague at the Brookings Institution, where he was an analyst, that he missed work "because he had been in South Ossetia fighting Georgians." And Danchenko bragged to the colleague "about vandalizing the Georgian embassy in Belarus."
The Durham report lays out a litany of evidence that links Danchenko to Russian spies. The FBI learned that Danchenko informed a Russian intelligence officer in 2006 that he was interested in entering Russian diplomatic service. Danchenko provided documents to the Russian intelligence officer that were to be placed in the Russian embassy’s "diplomatic mail pouch."
The FBI’s Trump team investigators were aware of this when they interviewed Danchenko in 2017 about his role in the Steele dossier. But still, FBI agents recruited Danchenko as a confidential human source (CHS) and paid him $220,000 through October 2020.
Durham said the arrangement was problematic because the FBI was unable to assess whether the information that Danchenko gave to Steele "was, in whole or in part, Russian disinformation."
FBI Killed Its Danchenko Probe Because It ‘Mistakenly’ Thought He Left The Country
Investigators obtained a foreign surveillance warrant on Danchenko in 2010 but shut it down the next year after they "mistakenly" believed Danchenko left the country. In reality, Danchenko and his wife purchased a one-way ticket to London but never boarded the flight. They remained in the Washington, D.C., area.
The FBI did not reopen its investigation into Danchenko even after an FBI analyst figured out that he was in the United States.
Durham raises major concerns that a top analyst on Crossfire Hurricane, Brian Auten, was involved in the initial Danchenko investigation but did not notify others on the Crossfire Hurricane team that the dossier source was a suspected Russian spy.
Top Crossfire Hurricane Investigator Had Early Doubts About Probe
Peter Strzok, the former deputy chief of FBI counterintelligence, opened the probe into the Trump campaign on July 28, 2016, after receiving the tip from Australian diplomats about Papadopoulos. Strzok would oversee Crossfire Hurricane and later serve on the Mueller team before being fired because of his anti-Trump text messages.
But Strzok expressed early reservations about the basis for the investigation.
During a trip to London in early August 2016 to interview the Australian diplomats, Strzok told an FBI colleague on Aug. 3, 2016, that "there's nothing to this, but we have to run it to ground."
Durham provides other evidence that FBI employees and British diplomats thought the evidence to open Crossfire Hurricane was flimsy. An FBI employee said the FBI’s evidence to launch the probe "was thin." The employee said his counterparts in British intelligence "could not believe" that the FBI did not have more evidence to open the probe.
Despite those concerns, Strzok would direct the major investigative steps in Crossfire Hurricane, including oversight of analysis of the Steele dossier.
Major FBI Informant Fed Handlers Lies About Trump Aide
Stefan Halper, a longtime confidential FBI source, gave his FBI handlers false information about Trump aide Carter Page, according to Durham.
Halper secretly recorded conversations with three Trump campaign aides at the behest of the FBI: Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis. The FBI extensively cited the conversations in applications for warrants to surveil Page, a volunteer foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign.
Durham describes an incident on Dec. 15, 2016, in which Halper falsely claimed to his FBI handler that Page admitted he met with Russian official Igor Sechin during a trip to Moscow. If true, the admission would have validated a crucial Steele dossier detail about Trump-Russia collusion.
But according to Durham, a transcript of Halper’s conversation with Page showed that Page actually denied meeting with Sechin.
Durham said he "examined" whether Halper made a false statement, but that prosecutors were "unable to establish" whether Halper intentionally lied.
Comey Drove Trump Campaign Surveillance
The Durham report shows that Comey pushed aggressively for the faulty Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants against Page.
Comey repeatedly asked his deputy, Andrew McCabe, "Where is the FISA, where is the FISA?"
Going after Page was "a top priority" for Comey, an intelligence agent told Durham. An attorney who wrote one of the FISA applications on Page said they were "being constantly pressured" to move forward by FBI management.
The Justice Department inspector general found that the FBI under Comey’s watch made 17 significant omissions in the surveillance warrants, including failures to disclose major inconsistencies in the Steele dossier.

Durham: Trump-Russia Investigator Became ‘Visibly Upset and Emotional’ When Shown ‘Clinton Campaign Plan’ to Tie Trump to Putin
The original Supervisory Special Agent on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation had never seen a CIA memo pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to tie former Pres. Donald Trump to Russia – and became “visibly upset and emotional” when Special Counsel John Durham’s office showed it to him.
On Friday, Special Counsel John Durham released a report on his investigation of the FBI’s handling of its Operation Crossfire efforts to prove Pres. Trump was colluding with Russia in order to further his 2020 reelection campaign.
In his report, Durham explains that the FBI’s treatment of Trump’s campaign was “markedly different from the FBI's actions with respect to other highly significant intelligence it received from a trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server.”
The FBI “never opened any type of inquiry, issued any taskings, employed any analytical personnel, or produced any analytical products” to look into the purported Clinton Plan – even though the CIA Director thought it was so troubling that he sent a formal memo to the FBI Director and briefed the White House:
“This lack of action was despite the fact that the significance of the Clinton plan intelligence was such as to have prompted the Director of the CIA to brief the President, Vice President, Attorney General, Director of the FBI, and other senior government officials about its content within days of its receipt.
“It was also of enough importance for the CIA to send a formal written referral memorandum to Director Comey and the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division, Peter Strzok, for their consideration and action. The investigative referral provided examples of information the Crossfire Hurricane fusion cell had ‘gleaned to date.’”
The Referral Memo, which mentioned the Clinton Plan intelligence, stated, in part:
“Per FBI verbal request, CIA provides the below examples of information the CROSSFIRE HURRICANE fusion cell has gleaned to date [Source revealing information redacted]:
“An exchange ... discussing US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's approval of a plan concerning US presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering US elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”
“None of the FBI personnel who agreed to be interviewed could specifically recall receiving this Referral Memo, nor did anyone recall the FBI doing anything in response to the Referral Memo,” Durham’s investigation found.
Most of those actively involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation said they had never seen the Clinton Plan intelligence – and some “expressed surprise and dismay” when Durham’s office told them about it.
One FBI special agent became so “visibly upset and emotional” when shown the Clinton Plan intelligence that he left the interview with his lawyer, then returned to “emphatically” deny any previous knowledge of either the Clinton Plan intelligence or the CIA memo, Durham reports:
“The original Supervisory Special Agent on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, Supervisory Special Agent-1, reviewed the intelligence during one of his interviews with the [Durham Special Counsel’s] Office.
“After reading it, Supervisory Special Agent-1 became visibly upset and emotional, left the interview room with his counsel, and subsequently returned to state emphatically that he had never been apprised of the Clinton Plan intelligence and had never seen the aforementioned Referral Memo.”
“Supervisory Special Agent-1 expressed a sense of betrayal that no one had informed him of the intelligence,” Durham reports:
“Supervisory Special Agent-1 responded firmly that regardless of whether its contents were true, he should have been informed of it.”
Former FBI General Counsel James Baker also claimed in his interview to have “neither seen nor heard of the Clinton Plan intelligence or the resulting Referral Memo.”
If he had, Baker said, he would have been “much more skeptical” of the Trump-Russia Collusion investigation:
“He acknowledged the significance of the reporting and explained that had he known of it during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, he would have viewed in a different and much more skeptical light (i) information the FBI received from Steele concerning Trump's purported ties to Russia and (ii) information received from attorney Michael Sussmann that purported to show a secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank.”
Durham: Obama, Biden Briefed in 2016 on Clinton’s Plan to Link Trump to Russia — Still Pushed Collusion Hoax
Then-President Barack Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden were personally briefed by then-CIA Director John Brennan in 2016 that the CIA had evidence of Hillary Clinton planning to falsely link then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to Russia, according to a report by Special Counsel John Durham released Monday.
The report said the intelligence came from a “highly significant intelligence” from a “trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server.”

Brennan briefed Obama, Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and other senior government officials “days” after the tip was received.
There were handwritten notes from Brennan that showed he briefed about the “alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services,” the report said.
Brennan briefed them on August 3, 2016 in the White House Situation Room, the report said. That meeting was to brief relevant intelligence known to date on Russian election interference, the report said.
The report said the CIA even sent a formal written referral to Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, Peter Strzok, for their consideration and action, but that the FBI took no steps to investigate the intelligence on Clinton’s plan.

“Unlike the FBI’s opening of a full investigation of unknown members of the Trump campaign based on raw, uncorroborated information, in this separate matter involving a purported Clinton campaign plan, the FBI never opened any type of inquiry, issued any taskings, employed any analytical personnel, or produced any analytical products in connection with the information,” the report said.
The revelation suggests that although Obama and Biden knew that the origins of the Trump campaign Russian collusion allegations was part of a plan by Clinton, they said nothing or did nothing and even perpetuated the idea that Russians were interfering in U.S. elections.

On July 25, 2019, after Biden had begun his presidential campaign, he tweeted, “Russia undermined our democracy by interfering in the 2016 election. That’s a fact. We need a President who will stand up to the Kremlin, push back against Putin, and take immediate steps to ensure the security of our elections.”
Biden also pushed the false accusation that Trump had colluded with Russia in October 2019, tweeting Trump’s comment on the campaign trail, “Russia if you’re listening,” which was a joke regarding Clinton’s missing emails from her private server.
Tuesday on FNC’s “Hannity,” former Rep Devin Nunes (R-CA), also a former House Intelligence Committee chairman, said despite its shortcomings, the Durham report issued earlier this week showed how “hopelessly corrupt” the FBI was.
“I think everybody just has to take a step back here and look at what really happened,” he said. “You have a corrupt DOJ, corrupt FBI that worked with the Clinton campaign to launch this — to launch this hoax that still continues today. They got away with it then, and they’re getting away with it now, and I think it’s getting worse and worse. And you see it, and it’s sad because you would hope that those guys that got spared you were playing them, some of the FBI guys that were involved in this hoax, you see them.”
“You see what they’re saying,” Nunes continued. “You would think this would be a time to take a step back and notice, hey, Durham didn’t call me. Durham didn’t even subpoena me. I never had to answer any questions, but instead, they’re doubling down. They show no remorse. And I think that’s why you see many people in the United States Congress and many people all over America saying, look, the FBI is hopelessly corrupted, and I think that’s where it’s at now.”
Both the far-left New York Times and Washington Post refuse to return Pulitzers for spreading the lie former President Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.
Would Hitler return a fake Pulitzer?
Now that the Monday release of the Durham Report has debunked every facet of the Russia Collusion allegation and proved the whole thing was a politically-motivated smear campaign invented by Hillary Clinton, blessed by Barack Obama, and furthered by the FBI, there have been numerous calls for these left-wing outlets to return their fake Pulitzers.
Why should someone be rewarded for spreading a hoax? the thinking goes. Well, I will and have argued that these corporate news outlets knew all along it was a hoax.
Of course, they did.
The corporate media knew it was being lied to by the FBI and wanted to be lied to by the FBI.
In other words, the media’s goal had nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with coordinating a coup with the FBI against a legally-elected American president.
The Daily Mail asked both the New York Times and Washington Post if they intend to return their fake Pulitzers. The Times didn’t respond. The financially failing Postsaid, “The Post stands by its reporting.”
Of course, the Post stands by its lies. Like the New York Times and CNN, the lies were the point. Why would the Post or Times return a fake Pulitzer for lying? Why would CNN retract its lies when the point of the lies stands: work with the FBI to formulate a coup against a sitting president?
Retractions and returning fake Pulitzers are acts of contrition, an acknowledgment you did something wrong.
The Times, Post, and CNN will never admit to doing anything wrong because, in their corrupt eyes, they did nothing wrong. Spreading bald-faced lies to rid the country of Trump is seen by the corporate media as virtuous, not shameful.

It is insane to believe that news organizations championing burning black neighborhoods to the ground, the execution of police officers, the underage sex trafficking and poison of drugs pouring over our border, children mutilated forever with sex surgeries, and babies aborted after they are born, would even consider returning a fake Pulitzer over a little thing like lying.
I’ll ask again: Would Hitler return a Pulitzer?
Oh, you think that’s going too far…? These Nazis are mutilating children, butchering born-alive babies, spying on presidential campaigns, encouraging their Brownshirts in Black Lives Matter and Antifa to terrorize and destroy cities, and turned a mostly-peaceful anti-vote fraud protest at the U.S. Capitol into a 21st Centrury Reichstag Fire.
If you handed this media a red button that would give every Trump voter stomach cancer, the ensuing stampede to be the first to hit it would rattle the planet.

The Russiagate Players Got Rich and Escaped Consequences
Nobody went to jail, hardly anyone lost their jobs, some cashed in.
Peter Strzok, the man of a thousand sneers, reacted to the release of the Durham report by screenshotting the report’s footnote of his own book and recommending people buy it.
Despite being fired from the FBI, the disgraced former agent got a book deal, “Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump” as well as co-hosting a podcast with ‘Mueller, She Wrote’s Allison Gill and scoring an adjunct professorship at Georgetown University.
The Russiagate investigation has been discredited, but the Russiagate grift is alive and well. And none of the participants have any regrets or expect there to be any consequences.
Strzok and fellow agent Lisa Page, with whom he had an affair, are suing for wrongful termination from the FBI, and they’ve been fighting to depose former President Trump.
Their former boss, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe secured a settlement for his benefits including back pay from the Biden Justice Department. There’s little doubt that Attorney General Merrick Garland will eventually arrange for a settlement as a reward for Strzok and Page.
McCabe, who received a gig as a CNN analyst, went on his own news network to dismiss the Durham report. Even though the report clearly demonstrated that the FBI had violated its own rules in opening the investigation, the former FBI boss bragged that “I stand by the investigative decisions that we made to open the investigation first on the Trump campaign “ and insisted that, “the Russians did, in fact, influence the campaign”.
The disgraced FBI bigwig shows up all the time on CNN to bash Trump and to claim that this time the walls are closing in. Like Strzok, his former boss also has an academic gig as a distinguished visiting professor at George Mason University.
If Strzok works hard enough, maybe Georgetown will make him a “distinguished” academic too.
Lisa Page appears to have taught a class at Yale on Cybersecurity Law and Policy and was hired by NBC News and MSNBC as a legal analyst, but hasn’t been all that visible otherwise.
Bruce Ohr, a DOJ official whose wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, left a day before he was fired. The Durham report reveals that Nellie Ohr may have produced some of the key Russiagate material even before Steele. Bruce Ohr aggressively pitched his wife’s Fusion GPS smears and promoted an investigation.
Like McCabe, Ohr is also teaching at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government. His class is on “transnational crime and corruption”. Nellie Ohr works as an intelligence analyst dealing with Russia for Accenture: the world’s largest consulting firm.
Strzok, Page, McCabe and Ohr are “academics” now and the consequences are academic.
The parallel career tracks, media contracts, book deals and academic gigs, are no coincidence. Some of the key FBI figures in Russiagate are being rewarded and financed by the same media and academic government establishment that fed this monster. Strzok, Page and McCabe have lucrative careers doing what they were doing at the FBI: attacking political opponents. They’ll just be doing it outside the anonymity and without the power of their government positions.
But there will be plenty of others to take their place. And for any FBI or DOJ personnel worried about breaking the rules to go after Republicans, the book deals, academic gigs, podcasts and general celebrity for Strzok, McCabe and Page reassure them that they don’t have to worry.
Justice will not be served.
Kevin E. Clinesmith, the former FBI lawyer who pleaded guilty to faking an email used for a FISA warrant, was the only figure in the Durham investigation to face any criminal consequences. He got probation and served no time. His license was only suspended and afterward he can go on practicing law.
Durham’s charges against Michael Sussmann and Igor Danchenko never got past a D.C. jury.
After his acquittal, Sussmann became a partner at Fenwick & West focusing on “privacy and cybersecurity”. Fenwick & West may need some help in that area considering its FTX role.
Sussmann’s new firm has been hit with a class action lawsuit accusing it of covering up Sam Bankman-Fried’s abuses. One lawsuit alleges that, “Fenwick & West created fake entities that Bankman-Fried and FTX employed as fronts through which to launder customer funds and helped FTX to dodge regulatory scrutiny while maintaining a veneer of full compliance.”
Clearly the right place for a former Clinton campaign lawyer.
Igor Danchenko, perhaps not being quite as much of an inside man, hasn’t been as lucky and posted a message, “I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer.”
He does not seem to have found any takers.
Charles Dolan Jr, Durham’s likely next target, had the Sussman and Danchenko cases succeeded, no longer seems to be listed with any of the firms he was working for, but apparently still sits on the board of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and on the advisory board of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Christopher Steele, of the infamous eponymous dossier, continues to head up Orbis Business Intelligence and another consultancy calling itself Magic Strand. In his interviews, he has expressed no regret over his actions.
Michael Isikoff, who used Yahoo News to launder the Steele dossier’s smears and whose reports were abused as a basis for FISA warrants, continues in his role as Chief Investigative Correspondent. David Corn, the Washington D.C. bureau chief for Mother Jones, who played a similar role, only briefly got in trouble over reports of rape jokes and inappropriately touching female staffers, before going back to work.
Ben Smith, BuzzFeed News‘ former editor-in-chief, has written pieces titled, “I’m Proud We Published the Trump-Russia Dossier” and “I Would Publish the Steele Dossier Again”. While BuzzFeed News was shut down due to unprofitability, Smith got a job at the New York Times and became the co-founder of a new media site: Semafor.
The New York Times and the Washington Post received Pulitzers for pushing the Russiagate hoax. Last year, the Pulitzers insisted that, “The separate reviews converged in their conclusions: that no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.”
The Pulitzers have also refused to revoke the 1932 award of New York Times correspondent Walter Duranty for serving as a Stalinist propagandist and lying about genocide in the Soviet Union. The leftist organization falsely claimed that “there was not clear and convincing evidence of deliberate deception”. If mass murder can’t get the Pultizers to revoke a lefty media liar’s award, the Durham report certainly won’t.
And so they got away with it.
The media made hundreds of millions of dollars pushing Russiagate. Publishers, editors and journalists made names for themselves, won awards and got book contracts for their lies. Lawyers, experts and consultants faced some discomfort, but emerged on the other side. Some FBI and DOJ officials lost their jobs, but are likely to come away with full benefits and are building careers as media analysts and Beltway law school academics. The only Russiagate figure who still doesn’t have a job is Igor Danchenko.
The Durham report’s account of abuses is devastating, but has been brushed aside by the media, former government officials and the rest of the Russiagate network. Unable to get D.C. juries to convict the accused, the investigation stalled and has dissolved into little more than an accounting on the various players but without the connective tissue of the network behind them.
Nobody went to jail, hardly anyone even suffered lasting career consequences and the Washington D.C. network they were part of stepped in to protect and reward the Russiagaters.
The lack of any meaningful consequences means that Russiagate will happen again.

Meanwhile, Special Counsel John Durham's report shows how corrupt and politicized the Justice Department has become. They have interfered in all elections since at least 2016 with endless witch hunts. The corruption by the Obama and Biden Justice Department dwarfs Watergate.

It is a joke when the Justice Department says the reforms they have put in place will stop this. They are targeting Catholics, parents, pro-life people, and trespassers with no regard for equal justice or the truth.

So, what is the proper approach that conservatives/patriots should take? Utter dismissiveness! Refuse to engage with any argument that centers on Biden. Refuse to acknowledge him. It will drive his minions crazy but, much more importantly, it will remind AT readers that Biden is merely the tip of the pimple that sits atop the festering subdermal abscess that is Democrat leftism. Eliminating Biden will accomplish nothing except proceeding to the next chapter that the left has written.
So how am I so sure that other hands man the steering wheel in our headlong plunge over the abyss? Little things. The mighty get tripped up so many times by just that, little things.
For example, Biden did not bother attending the coronation of the monarch of perhaps our closest ally. The estimable Mrs. Biden did. I’m not a partisan of Charles, but I do respect the British people. Biden’s actions are inexcusable in that regard. And the petty meanness of the swipe seems odd. What exactly in Biden’s Senate or Vice Presidency past betokens his antipathy to the British or their monarch? In truth, nothing. That his mother didn’t like the British is not relevant to him in his role as White House occupant and the American people’s representative.
And then there’s this: Remember that bust of Winston Churchill that Barry Obama had summarily removed from the WH after his inauguration? The one that President Trump put back in place? Well, it seems (from none other than CNN) that Biden had it removed again.
Now we know that Biden can be petty and vindictive (ask Hunter’s disowned daughter), but even the petty and vindictive need a motive. Only one person would have the pettiness, vindictiveness, and the hatred to troll that low. And that would be Barack Hussein Obama.
So, with Susan Rice’s recent stint in the Biden White House as further argument about the real power behind the Oval Office chair (not to mention the estimable Merrick Garland as AG,) it really does appear that the Transformation of America is proceeding apace with the same cast of characters leading the way (where are Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder these days btw?).
Now this begets yet another question: How can a guy not bright enough to write his own autobiography lead a transformative revolution—both cultural and political—that has enveloped the U.S.? Like a series of infernal nesting dolls, we will likely find that the ultimate fingers working the strings belong to someone(s) still as yet uncovered, but not Barry.
But back to our theme here, don’t believe for a second that Joseph Robinette Biden pulls his own strings. That mirage only favors the left’s goals. And besides, he is about to be thrown under their bus anyway. They just await the moment of maximum gain.
It is very true that, to defeat your enemy, you must first know them. Just realize, it isn’t Biden. If someone shoots you, you don’t take it out on the bullet. You go after the shooter! Special Counsel John Durham dropped a bombshell on Monday. "Russiagate"—the biggest media story on the planet for four years—was never justified by the evidence.
According to Durham's scathing report, the FBI initiated its investigation of former president Donald Trump's 2016 campaign without sufficient proof of collusion and then ignored mounting contrary evidence. Durham criticized the FBI for relying on the later-debunked Steele dossier to get a warrant to surveil Trump's campaign; for coziness with Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic opponent; and for repeatedly accepting information from anti-Trump sources, if not showing the same bias itself.
Each of Durham's findings of FBI misconduct could be—and have been—applied to the corporate press, which breathlessly reported each twist in the FBI's false narrative and helped to drive American politics off a cliff.
Reliance on the Steele dossier: Like the FBI, media outlets touted the most salacious allegations compiled by former British spy Christoper Steele on behalf of the Clinton campaign. They did so, to borrow a term of art, "without evidence."
Even after the dossier and Steele himself were discredited, the media insisted the FBI's investigation of Trump was super serious.
Prominent journalists earnestly discussed the possibility that Trump was a Manchurian candidate, recruited by Russia three decades earlier.
Coziness with Clinton: While the FBI ignored concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton's campaign, according to Durham, the media let the Democrat spout off, largely unchallenged, about her supposed certainty that the 2016 election was rigged against her. (The reaction was a little different when Trump questioned his loss in 2020.)
Bias against Trump: Agents deemed too biased or unprofessional by the FBI were welcomed on the airways to pontificate on the investigation they had compromised. Peter Strzok—a senior FBI agent who oversaw both the Trump and Clinton investigations until he was fired for anti-Trump texts in 2018—immediately became a regular on-air contributor for MSNBC. And former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, who was pushed out for leaking, landed a similar gig at CNN.
After seven years of experience, and a pseudo-reckoning, has the corporate press learned anything? Let's see whom CNN brought on to discuss the Durham report.
In a statement Monday, the FBI said its leadership has "already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time," in response to the problems highlighted by Durham. "Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented."
It's currently unknown whether he met with foul play or voluntarily dropped out of sight. However, what is well established is that since that fateful interview with the FBI in March 2019, Luft has made powerful enemies in both Chinese and American intelligence and, of course, in the Biden syndicate.

Durham Report Reveals FBI Shut Down Four Criminal Investigations into the Clintons
Special Counsel John Durham’s highly-anticipated report on the origins of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016 revealed that top leaders at the Bureau shut down four criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton.
In 2014, the FBI investigated a “well-placed” confidential source’s claims that an unnamed foreign government intended to “contribute to Hillary Clinton’s anticipated presidential campaign, as a way to gain influence with Clinton should she win the presidency,” the report said.
The field office investigating these claims “almost immediately” sought a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant, but it remained “in limbo” for approximately four months, primarily due to Clinton’s then-expected presidential campaign.
According to another agent, the application lingered because “everyone was ‘super more careful’” and “scared with the big name [Clinton]” involved. 321 “[T]hey were pretty “tippy-toeing’ around HRC because there was a chance she would be the next President.”
Durham’s report also revealed that three separate FBI field offices in Washington, DC; Little Rock, Arkansas; and New York City, New York, opened investigations into “possibly criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation” less than one year before the November 2016 presidential election.
One of these investigations was spawned by Breitbart News contributor Peter Schweizer’s book, Clinton Cash, which exposed the Clinton Foundation’s global nexus of influence peddling.
Beginning in January 2016, three different FBI field offices, the New York Field Office (“NYFO*), the Washington Field Office (“WFO*), and the Little Rock Field Office (“LRFO**), opened investigations into possible criminal activity involving the Clinton Foundation. The IRFO case opening communication referred to an intelligence product and corroborating financial reporting that a particular commercial “industry likely engaged a federal public official in a flow of benefits scheme, namely, large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of the federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and/or influence.” The WFO investigation was opened as a preliminary investigation, because the Case Agent wanted to determine if he could develop additional information to corroborate the allegations in a recently-published book, Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer, before seeking to convert the matter to a full investigation. Additionally, the LRFO and NYFO investigations included predication based on source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton.
Speaking with the DailyMail, Schweizer said he received “a call from somebody from the New York FBI office after the book came out.”
“There was a New York Times piece on Uranium One. It was kind of confirming what we had in the book. That’s what I think triggered the interest,” Schweizer said. “With the Clinton Foundation, you have the transfer of large sums of money, you had policy positions that were affected, and you had certifiable evidence.”
“I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say what was illegal. But there was definitely a there there, with all the speeches, donations, and policy effects, and nobody’s ever really disputed that,” he added.
Ultimately, FBI leadership held a joint meeting with the three field offices, FBI Headquarters, and appropriate United States Attorney’s offices. The first joint meeting occurred on February 1, 2016. However, the Department of Justice Public Integrity Section Chief, Ray Hulser, said the FBI briefing at that meeting was “poorly presented,” and saw “insufficient predication for at least one of the investigations.”
A second joint meeting occurred on February 22, 2016, which former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe chaired.
McCabe “initially directed the field offices to close their cases,” but later agreed to “reconsider the final disposition of the cases,” Durham’s report noted.
Paul Abbate, who was the FBI Washington Field Office’s Assistant Director-in-Charge at the time, described McCabe’s demeanor during the joint meeting as “negative,” “annoyed,” and “angry.”
According to Abbate, McCabe stated “they [the Department] say there’s nothing here” and “why are we even doing this?” At the close of the meeting, Campbell directed that for any overt investigative steps to be taken, the Deputy Director’s approval would be required.
Durham’s report also revealed that former FBI Director James Comey demanded, through an intermediary, the New York Field Office “cease and desist” their Clinton Foundation investigation.
Earlier in the week, McCabe claimed the Durham report was “never a legitimate investigation.”
“We knew from the very beginning exactly what John Durham was going to conclude, and that’s what we saw today. We knew from the very beginning this was never a legitimate investigation,” McCabe said. “This was a political errand to exact some sort of retribution on Donald Trump’s perceived enemies and the FBI.”
Durham’s report highlighted the FBI’s different approaches regarding their investigations into Clinton and former President Donald Trump.
“The use of defensive briefings in 2015 contrasts with the FBI’s failure to provide a defensive briefing to the Trump campaign approximately one year later when Australia shared the information from Papadopoulos,” the report stated.
Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who sits on the House Judiciary Committee’s Weaponization of the Federal Government subcommittee, told the DailyMail that Durham’s report warrants “additional exposure and review.”
“The Clintons had a team of people at the FBI running interference for them to avoid criminal culpability,” Gaetz told the outlet. “These matters absolutely warrant additional exposure and review.”
Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) said the FBI’s investigations into the Clintons “were shut down by the higher-ups who had an obvious political desire to see Donald Trump lose and Hillary Clinton win.”
“It’s disgusting really. Absolutely these investigations should be revisited,” he told DailyMail. “There’s no reason why Congress can’t have a series of hearings with the field agents who were pursuing the Clinton Foundation, and public interviews with them as well.”
Special Counsel John Durham’s report largely confirmed what Republicans have said for years about the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. Durham found the FBI opened the probe, known as Crossfire Hurricane, with flimsy evidence, and detailed the FBI’s mishandling of the infamous Steele dossier, which falsely claimed the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.
Durham laid out in painstaking detail the FBI’s misstatements to a federal surveillance court to obtain warrants to surveil Trump campaign aide Carter Page and the Clinton campaign’s hand in spreading false information to smear former president Donald Trump as a Kremlin stooge. Much of that has been laid out in previous investigations and through reports by conservative media outlets.
But there are some surprises in the 320-page report. Here are eight of Durham's most illuminating discoveries:
FBI Ignored "Clinton Plan" Intelligence
In late July 2016, CIA director John Brennan received an intelligence report that Hillary Clinton personally approved a plan on July 26, 2016, to link Trump to Russia in order to distract from the controversy surrounding her emails. Brennan shared the intelligence with then-president Barack Obama, FBI director James Comey, and other government officials.
According to Durham, the FBI should have seen the intelligence report as a "clear warning sign" that the Clinton campaign may try to "manipulate or influence" the 2016 election. Instead, the FBI failed to factor the plan into its decision making for Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign.
Indeed, the Clinton campaign was behind two schemes to publicly portray Trump as in bed with Russia. The campaign funded the discredited Steele dossier and fed reporters with a false claim that Trump’s companies had secret communications with Russia’s Alfa Bank. The FBI investigated both threads. The information was also fed to establishment news outlets, fueling years of conspiracy theories that Trump conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
Durham blasted the FBI for its "startling and inexplicable failure" to take the "Clinton plan" into account.
Bureau Brass Killed Clinton Foundation Investigations
Director Comey and deputy director Andrew McCabe ordered three FBI field offices to close their preliminary investigations into whether foreign governments and businesses donated to the Clinton family charity in order to influence Hillary Clinton.
According to Durham, McCabe ordered the field offices to close their investigations during a Feb. 22, 2016, meeting at FBI headquarters. Attendees said McCabe asserted that "there’s nothing here" and asked "why are we even doing this?" FBI agents left the meeting frustrated with McCabe’s decision. In May 2016, Comey ordered the New York field office to "cease and desist" from its Clinton Foundation investigation because of an undisclosed counterintelligence issue.
Durham highlighted Comey and McCabe’s intervention in the Clinton Foundation probe to contrast the FBI leaders’ aggressive approach to Crossfire, which the bureau opened based on a single unverified tip from an Australian diplomat regarding a conversation he had in London in May 2016 with Trump aide George Papadopoulos.
"Once again, the investigative actions taken by FBI Headquarters in the Foundation matters contrast with those taken in Crossfire Hurricane," Durham said.
Mueller Team Investigators Worried About Political Influence
Democrats repeatedly defended Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe against allegations of anti-Trump bias. Never mind that one of Mueller’s top prosecutors, Andrew Weissmann, attended Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated victory party on Election Night 2016.
According to Durham, two members of the Mueller team expressed concern that an investigation into the Steele dossier was shut down for political reasons.
A special agent and analyst on the Mueller team told Durham’s office that they were prevented from investigating Charles Dolan, a Democratic operative who was a source for the dossier. The Mueller staffers believed Dolan would help settle lingering questions about the dossier, but leaders of the Mueller team blocked the idea. Dolan also had extensive ties to the Kremlin, which might prove embarrassing for investigators focused on Republican ties to Russia.
According to Durham, the Mueller team analyst speculated "that the decision not to open on Dolan was politically motivated." The analyst said that information about Dolan "ran counter to the narrative that the Mueller Special Counsel investigators were cultivating given that Dolan was a former Democratic political operative." Dolan had advised Clinton’s 2008 campaign and was a volunteer for her 2016 venture.
The Mueller special agent "discussed whether the decision not to open on Dolan was politically motivated, given Dolan's extensive connections to the Democratic Party." The agent said that while she did not believe the decision was political, "she did worry about the optics of the decision, given that Dolan was a prominent Democrat."
The Mueller investigators also expressed concern to Durham that senior Mueller prosecutor Jeannie Rhee ordered them to shut down their investigation of the Steele dossier because it was "not within the scope" of Mueller’s investigation. This puzzled the Mueller team members because investigators had that same month interviewed dossier author Christopher Steele, the report says. Rhee contributed $5,400 to Clinton’s 2016 campaign.
The FBI Thought a Steele Dossier Source Was a Russian Spy. They Paid Him $220K Anyway.
The FBI investigated Igor Danchenko, the primary source for the discredited Steele dossier, as a possible Russian spy in 2010. That has previously been disclosed, but Durham’s report sheds new light on what information the FBI had about Danchenko’s alleged Russian ties.
Danchenko’s classmates at Georgetown University told Durham’s team that Danchenko claimed that he had served in the Russian military and had worked on "special" projects. Danchenko told a classmate that his Russian passport listed him as a member of the GRU, Russia’s military spy service. In 2008, Danchenko allegedly told a colleague at the Brookings Institution, where he was an analyst, that he missed work "because he had been in South Ossetia fighting Georgians." And Danchenko bragged to the colleague "about vandalizing the Georgian embassy in Belarus."
The Durham report lays out a litany of evidence that links Danchenko to Russian spies. The FBI learned that Danchenko informed a Russian intelligence officer in 2006 that he was interested in entering Russian diplomatic service. Danchenko provided documents to the Russian intelligence officer that were to be placed in the Russian embassy’s "diplomatic mail pouch."
The FBI’s Trump team investigators were aware of this when they interviewed Danchenko in 2017 about his role in the Steele dossier. But still, FBI agents recruited Danchenko as a confidential human source (CHS) and paid him $220,000 through October 2020.
Durham said the arrangement was problematic because the FBI was unable to assess whether the information that Danchenko gave to Steele "was, in whole or in part, Russian disinformation."
FBI Killed Its Danchenko Probe Because It ‘Mistakenly’ Thought He Left The Country
Investigators obtained a foreign surveillance warrant on Danchenko in 2010 but shut it down the next year after they "mistakenly" believed Danchenko left the country. In reality, Danchenko and his wife purchased a one-way ticket to London but never boarded the flight. They remained in the Washington, D.C., area.
The FBI did not reopen its investigation into Danchenko even after an FBI analyst figured out that he was in the United States.
Durham raises major concerns that a top analyst on Crossfire Hurricane, Brian Auten, was involved in the initial Danchenko investigation but did not notify others on the Crossfire Hurricane team that the dossier source was a suspected Russian spy.
Top Crossfire Hurricane Investigator Had Early Doubts About Probe
Peter Strzok, the former deputy chief of FBI counterintelligence, opened the probe into the Trump campaign on July 28, 2016, after receiving the tip from Australian diplomats about Papadopoulos. Strzok would oversee Crossfire Hurricane and later serve on the Mueller team before being fired because of his anti-Trump text messages.
But Strzok expressed early reservations about the basis for the investigation.
During a trip to London in early August 2016 to interview the Australian diplomats, Strzok told an FBI colleague on Aug. 3, 2016, that "there's nothing to this, but we have to run it to ground."
Durham provides other evidence that FBI employees and British diplomats thought the evidence to open Crossfire Hurricane was flimsy. An FBI employee said the FBI’s evidence to launch the probe "was thin." The employee said his counterparts in British intelligence "could not believe" that the FBI did not have more evidence to open the probe.
Despite those concerns, Strzok would direct the major investigative steps in Crossfire Hurricane, including oversight of analysis of the Steele dossier.
Major FBI Informant Fed Handlers Lies About Trump Aide
Stefan Halper, a longtime confidential FBI source, gave his FBI handlers false information about Trump aide Carter Page, according to Durham.
Halper secretly recorded conversations with three Trump campaign aides at the behest of the FBI: Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis. The FBI extensively cited the conversations in applications for warrants to surveil Page, a volunteer foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign.
Durham describes an incident on Dec. 15, 2016, in which Halper falsely claimed to his FBI handler that Page admitted he met with Russian official Igor Sechin during a trip to Moscow. If true, the admission would have validated a crucial Steele dossier detail about Trump-Russia collusion.
But according to Durham, a transcript of Halper’s conversation with Page showed that Page actually denied meeting with Sechin.
Durham said he "examined" whether Halper made a false statement, but that prosecutors were "unable to establish" whether Halper intentionally lied.
Comey Drove Trump Campaign Surveillance
The Durham report shows that Comey pushed aggressively for the faulty Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants against Page.
Comey repeatedly asked his deputy, Andrew McCabe, "Where is the FISA, where is the FISA?"
Going after Page was "a top priority" for Comey, an intelligence agent told Durham. An attorney who wrote one of the FISA applications on Page said they were "being constantly pressured" to move forward by FBI management.
The Justice Department inspector general found that the FBI under Comey’s watch made 17 significant omissions in the surveillance warrants, including failures to disclose major inconsistencies in the Steele dossier.

Durham: Trump-Russia Investigator Became ‘Visibly Upset and Emotional’ When Shown ‘Clinton Campaign Plan’ to Tie Trump to Putin
The original Supervisory Special Agent on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation had never seen a CIA memo pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to tie former Pres. Donald Trump to Russia – and became “visibly upset and emotional” when Special Counsel John Durham’s office showed it to him.
On Friday, Special Counsel John Durham released a report on his investigation of the FBI’s handling of its Operation Crossfire efforts to prove Pres. Trump was colluding with Russia in order to further his 2020 reelection campaign.
In his report, Durham explains that the FBI’s treatment of Trump’s campaign was “markedly different from the FBI's actions with respect to other highly significant intelligence it received from a trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server.”
The FBI “never opened any type of inquiry, issued any taskings, employed any analytical personnel, or produced any analytical products” to look into the purported Clinton Plan – even though the CIA Director thought it was so troubling that he sent a formal memo to the FBI Director and briefed the White House:
“This lack of action was despite the fact that the significance of the Clinton plan intelligence was such as to have prompted the Director of the CIA to brief the President, Vice President, Attorney General, Director of the FBI, and other senior government officials about its content within days of its receipt.
“It was also of enough importance for the CIA to send a formal written referral memorandum to Director Comey and the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division, Peter Strzok, for their consideration and action. The investigative referral provided examples of information the Crossfire Hurricane fusion cell had ‘gleaned to date.’”
The Referral Memo, which mentioned the Clinton Plan intelligence, stated, in part:
“Per FBI verbal request, CIA provides the below examples of information the CROSSFIRE HURRICANE fusion cell has gleaned to date [Source revealing information redacted]:
“An exchange ... discussing US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's approval of a plan concerning US presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering US elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”
“None of the FBI personnel who agreed to be interviewed could specifically recall receiving this Referral Memo, nor did anyone recall the FBI doing anything in response to the Referral Memo,” Durham’s investigation found.
Most of those actively involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation said they had never seen the Clinton Plan intelligence – and some “expressed surprise and dismay” when Durham’s office told them about it.
One FBI special agent became so “visibly upset and emotional” when shown the Clinton Plan intelligence that he left the interview with his lawyer, then returned to “emphatically” deny any previous knowledge of either the Clinton Plan intelligence or the CIA memo, Durham reports:
“The original Supervisory Special Agent on the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, Supervisory Special Agent-1, reviewed the intelligence during one of his interviews with the [Durham Special Counsel’s] Office.
“After reading it, Supervisory Special Agent-1 became visibly upset and emotional, left the interview room with his counsel, and subsequently returned to state emphatically that he had never been apprised of the Clinton Plan intelligence and had never seen the aforementioned Referral Memo.”
“Supervisory Special Agent-1 expressed a sense of betrayal that no one had informed him of the intelligence,” Durham reports:
“Supervisory Special Agent-1 responded firmly that regardless of whether its contents were true, he should have been informed of it.”
Former FBI General Counsel James Baker also claimed in his interview to have “neither seen nor heard of the Clinton Plan intelligence or the resulting Referral Memo.”
If he had, Baker said, he would have been “much more skeptical” of the Trump-Russia Collusion investigation:
“He acknowledged the significance of the reporting and explained that had he known of it during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, he would have viewed in a different and much more skeptical light (i) information the FBI received from Steele concerning Trump's purported ties to Russia and (ii) information received from attorney Michael Sussmann that purported to show a secret communications channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank.”
Durham: Obama, Biden Briefed in 2016 on Clinton’s Plan to Link Trump to Russia — Still Pushed Collusion Hoax
Then-President Barack Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden were personally briefed by then-CIA Director John Brennan in 2016 that the CIA had evidence of Hillary Clinton planning to falsely link then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to Russia, according to a report by Special Counsel John Durham released Monday.
The report said the intelligence came from a “highly significant intelligence” from a “trusted foreign source pointing to a Clinton campaign plan to vilify Trump by tying him to Vladimir Putin so as to divert attention from her own concerns relating to her use of a private email server.”

Brennan briefed Obama, Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and other senior government officials “days” after the tip was received.
There were handwritten notes from Brennan that showed he briefed about the “alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services,” the report said.
Brennan briefed them on August 3, 2016 in the White House Situation Room, the report said. That meeting was to brief relevant intelligence known to date on Russian election interference, the report said.
The report said the CIA even sent a formal written referral to Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, Peter Strzok, for their consideration and action, but that the FBI took no steps to investigate the intelligence on Clinton’s plan.

“Unlike the FBI’s opening of a full investigation of unknown members of the Trump campaign based on raw, uncorroborated information, in this separate matter involving a purported Clinton campaign plan, the FBI never opened any type of inquiry, issued any taskings, employed any analytical personnel, or produced any analytical products in connection with the information,” the report said.
The revelation suggests that although Obama and Biden knew that the origins of the Trump campaign Russian collusion allegations was part of a plan by Clinton, they said nothing or did nothing and even perpetuated the idea that Russians were interfering in U.S. elections.

On July 25, 2019, after Biden had begun his presidential campaign, he tweeted, “Russia undermined our democracy by interfering in the 2016 election. That’s a fact. We need a President who will stand up to the Kremlin, push back against Putin, and take immediate steps to ensure the security of our elections.”
Biden also pushed the false accusation that Trump had colluded with Russia in October 2019, tweeting Trump’s comment on the campaign trail, “Russia if you’re listening,” which was a joke regarding Clinton’s missing emails from her private server.
Tuesday on FNC’s “Hannity,” former Rep Devin Nunes (R-CA), also a former House Intelligence Committee chairman, said despite its shortcomings, the Durham report issued earlier this week showed how “hopelessly corrupt” the FBI was.
“I think everybody just has to take a step back here and look at what really happened,” he said. “You have a corrupt DOJ, corrupt FBI that worked with the Clinton campaign to launch this — to launch this hoax that still continues today. They got away with it then, and they’re getting away with it now, and I think it’s getting worse and worse. And you see it, and it’s sad because you would hope that those guys that got spared you were playing them, some of the FBI guys that were involved in this hoax, you see them.”
“You see what they’re saying,” Nunes continued. “You would think this would be a time to take a step back and notice, hey, Durham didn’t call me. Durham didn’t even subpoena me. I never had to answer any questions, but instead, they’re doubling down. They show no remorse. And I think that’s why you see many people in the United States Congress and many people all over America saying, look, the FBI is hopelessly corrupted, and I think that’s where it’s at now.”
Both the far-left New York Times and Washington Post refuse to return Pulitzers for spreading the lie former President Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.
Would Hitler return a fake Pulitzer?
Now that the Monday release of the Durham Report has debunked every facet of the Russia Collusion allegation and proved the whole thing was a politically-motivated smear campaign invented by Hillary Clinton, blessed by Barack Obama, and furthered by the FBI, there have been numerous calls for these left-wing outlets to return their fake Pulitzers.
Why should someone be rewarded for spreading a hoax? the thinking goes. Well, I will and have argued that these corporate news outlets knew all along it was a hoax.
Of course, they did.
The corporate media knew it was being lied to by the FBI and wanted to be lied to by the FBI.
In other words, the media’s goal had nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with coordinating a coup with the FBI against a legally-elected American president.
The Daily Mail asked both the New York Times and Washington Post if they intend to return their fake Pulitzers. The Times didn’t respond. The financially failing Postsaid, “The Post stands by its reporting.”
Of course, the Post stands by its lies. Like the New York Times and CNN, the lies were the point. Why would the Post or Times return a fake Pulitzer for lying? Why would CNN retract its lies when the point of the lies stands: work with the FBI to formulate a coup against a sitting president?
Retractions and returning fake Pulitzers are acts of contrition, an acknowledgment you did something wrong.
The Times, Post, and CNN will never admit to doing anything wrong because, in their corrupt eyes, they did nothing wrong. Spreading bald-faced lies to rid the country of Trump is seen by the corporate media as virtuous, not shameful.

It is insane to believe that news organizations championing burning black neighborhoods to the ground, the execution of police officers, the underage sex trafficking and poison of drugs pouring over our border, children mutilated forever with sex surgeries, and babies aborted after they are born, would even consider returning a fake Pulitzer over a little thing like lying.
I’ll ask again: Would Hitler return a Pulitzer?
Oh, you think that’s going too far…? These Nazis are mutilating children, butchering born-alive babies, spying on presidential campaigns, encouraging their Brownshirts in Black Lives Matter and Antifa to terrorize and destroy cities, and turned a mostly-peaceful anti-vote fraud protest at the U.S. Capitol into a 21st Centrury Reichstag Fire.
If you handed this media a red button that would give every Trump voter stomach cancer, the ensuing stampede to be the first to hit it would rattle the planet.

The Russiagate Players Got Rich and Escaped Consequences
Nobody went to jail, hardly anyone lost their jobs, some cashed in.
Peter Strzok, the man of a thousand sneers, reacted to the release of the Durham report by screenshotting the report’s footnote of his own book and recommending people buy it.
Despite being fired from the FBI, the disgraced former agent got a book deal, “Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump” as well as co-hosting a podcast with ‘Mueller, She Wrote’s Allison Gill and scoring an adjunct professorship at Georgetown University.
The Russiagate investigation has been discredited, but the Russiagate grift is alive and well. And none of the participants have any regrets or expect there to be any consequences.
Strzok and fellow agent Lisa Page, with whom he had an affair, are suing for wrongful termination from the FBI, and they’ve been fighting to depose former President Trump.
Their former boss, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe secured a settlement for his benefits including back pay from the Biden Justice Department. There’s little doubt that Attorney General Merrick Garland will eventually arrange for a settlement as a reward for Strzok and Page.
McCabe, who received a gig as a CNN analyst, went on his own news network to dismiss the Durham report. Even though the report clearly demonstrated that the FBI had violated its own rules in opening the investigation, the former FBI boss bragged that “I stand by the investigative decisions that we made to open the investigation first on the Trump campaign “ and insisted that, “the Russians did, in fact, influence the campaign”.
The disgraced FBI bigwig shows up all the time on CNN to bash Trump and to claim that this time the walls are closing in. Like Strzok, his former boss also has an academic gig as a distinguished visiting professor at George Mason University.
If Strzok works hard enough, maybe Georgetown will make him a “distinguished” academic too.
Lisa Page appears to have taught a class at Yale on Cybersecurity Law and Policy and was hired by NBC News and MSNBC as a legal analyst, but hasn’t been all that visible otherwise.
Bruce Ohr, a DOJ official whose wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS, left a day before he was fired. The Durham report reveals that Nellie Ohr may have produced some of the key Russiagate material even before Steele. Bruce Ohr aggressively pitched his wife’s Fusion GPS smears and promoted an investigation.
Like McCabe, Ohr is also teaching at George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government. His class is on “transnational crime and corruption”. Nellie Ohr works as an intelligence analyst dealing with Russia for Accenture: the world’s largest consulting firm.
Strzok, Page, McCabe and Ohr are “academics” now and the consequences are academic.
The parallel career tracks, media contracts, book deals and academic gigs, are no coincidence. Some of the key FBI figures in Russiagate are being rewarded and financed by the same media and academic government establishment that fed this monster. Strzok, Page and McCabe have lucrative careers doing what they were doing at the FBI: attacking political opponents. They’ll just be doing it outside the anonymity and without the power of their government positions.
But there will be plenty of others to take their place. And for any FBI or DOJ personnel worried about breaking the rules to go after Republicans, the book deals, academic gigs, podcasts and general celebrity for Strzok, McCabe and Page reassure them that they don’t have to worry.
Justice will not be served.
Kevin E. Clinesmith, the former FBI lawyer who pleaded guilty to faking an email used for a FISA warrant, was the only figure in the Durham investigation to face any criminal consequences. He got probation and served no time. His license was only suspended and afterward he can go on practicing law.
Durham’s charges against Michael Sussmann and Igor Danchenko never got past a D.C. jury.
After his acquittal, Sussmann became a partner at Fenwick & West focusing on “privacy and cybersecurity”. Fenwick & West may need some help in that area considering its FTX role.
Sussmann’s new firm has been hit with a class action lawsuit accusing it of covering up Sam Bankman-Fried’s abuses. One lawsuit alleges that, “Fenwick & West created fake entities that Bankman-Fried and FTX employed as fronts through which to launder customer funds and helped FTX to dodge regulatory scrutiny while maintaining a veneer of full compliance.”
Clearly the right place for a former Clinton campaign lawyer.
Igor Danchenko, perhaps not being quite as much of an inside man, hasn’t been as lucky and posted a message, “I am looking for a new role and would appreciate your support. Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer.”
He does not seem to have found any takers.
Charles Dolan Jr, Durham’s likely next target, had the Sussman and Danchenko cases succeeded, no longer seems to be listed with any of the firms he was working for, but apparently still sits on the board of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and on the advisory board of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Christopher Steele, of the infamous eponymous dossier, continues to head up Orbis Business Intelligence and another consultancy calling itself Magic Strand. In his interviews, he has expressed no regret over his actions.
Michael Isikoff, who used Yahoo News to launder the Steele dossier’s smears and whose reports were abused as a basis for FISA warrants, continues in his role as Chief Investigative Correspondent. David Corn, the Washington D.C. bureau chief for Mother Jones, who played a similar role, only briefly got in trouble over reports of rape jokes and inappropriately touching female staffers, before going back to work.
Ben Smith, BuzzFeed News‘ former editor-in-chief, has written pieces titled, “I’m Proud We Published the Trump-Russia Dossier” and “I Would Publish the Steele Dossier Again”. While BuzzFeed News was shut down due to unprofitability, Smith got a job at the New York Times and became the co-founder of a new media site: Semafor.
The New York Times and the Washington Post received Pulitzers for pushing the Russiagate hoax. Last year, the Pulitzers insisted that, “The separate reviews converged in their conclusions: that no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.”
The Pulitzers have also refused to revoke the 1932 award of New York Times correspondent Walter Duranty for serving as a Stalinist propagandist and lying about genocide in the Soviet Union. The leftist organization falsely claimed that “there was not clear and convincing evidence of deliberate deception”. If mass murder can’t get the Pultizers to revoke a lefty media liar’s award, the Durham report certainly won’t.
And so they got away with it.
The media made hundreds of millions of dollars pushing Russiagate. Publishers, editors and journalists made names for themselves, won awards and got book contracts for their lies. Lawyers, experts and consultants faced some discomfort, but emerged on the other side. Some FBI and DOJ officials lost their jobs, but are likely to come away with full benefits and are building careers as media analysts and Beltway law school academics. The only Russiagate figure who still doesn’t have a job is Igor Danchenko.
The Durham report’s account of abuses is devastating, but has been brushed aside by the media, former government officials and the rest of the Russiagate network. Unable to get D.C. juries to convict the accused, the investigation stalled and has dissolved into little more than an accounting on the various players but without the connective tissue of the network behind them.
Nobody went to jail, hardly anyone even suffered lasting career consequences and the Washington D.C. network they were part of stepped in to protect and reward the Russiagaters.
The lack of any meaningful consequences means that Russiagate will happen again.

So, what is the proper approach that conservatives/patriots should take? Utter dismissiveness! Refuse to engage with any argument that centers on Biden. Refuse to acknowledge him. It will drive his minions crazy but, much more importantly, it will remind AT readers that Biden is merely the tip of the pimple that sits atop the festering subdermal abscess that is Democrat leftism. Eliminating Biden will accomplish nothing except proceeding to the next chapter that the left has written.
So how am I so sure that other hands man the steering wheel in our headlong plunge over the abyss? Little things. The mighty get tripped up so many times by just that, little things.
For example, Biden did not bother attending the coronation of the monarch of perhaps our closest ally. The estimable Mrs. Biden did. I’m not a partisan of Charles, but I do respect the British people. Biden’s actions are inexcusable in that regard. And the petty meanness of the swipe seems odd. What exactly in Biden’s Senate or Vice Presidency past betokens his antipathy to the British or their monarch? In truth, nothing. That his mother didn’t like the British is not relevant to him in his role as White House occupant and the American people’s representative.
And then there’s this: Remember that bust of Winston Churchill that Barry Obama had summarily removed from the WH after his inauguration? The one that President Trump put back in place? Well, it seems (from none other than CNN) that Biden had it removed again.
Now we know that Biden can be petty and vindictive (ask Hunter’s disowned daughter), but even the petty and vindictive need a motive. Only one person would have the pettiness, vindictiveness, and the hatred to troll that low. And that would be Barack Hussein Obama.
So, with Susan Rice’s recent stint in the Biden White House as further argument about the real power behind the Oval Office chair (not to mention the estimable Merrick Garland as AG,) it really does appear that the Transformation of America is proceeding apace with the same cast of characters leading the way (where are Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder these days btw?).
Now this begets yet another question: How can a guy not bright enough to write his own autobiography lead a transformative revolution—both cultural and political—that has enveloped the U.S.? Like a series of infernal nesting dolls, we will likely find that the ultimate fingers working the strings belong to someone(s) still as yet uncovered, but not Barry.
But back to our theme here, don’t believe for a second that Joseph Robinette Biden pulls his own strings. That mirage only favors the left’s goals. And besides, he is about to be thrown under their bus anyway. They just await the moment of maximum gain.

polled were unaware of the severity of the invasion occurring at

Special Counsel John Durham dropped a bombshell on Monday. "Russiagate"—the biggest media story on the planet for four years—was never justified by the evidence.
According to Durham's scathing report, the FBI initiated its investigation of former president Donald Trump's 2016 campaign without sufficient proof of collusion and then ignored mounting contrary evidence. Durham criticized the FBI for relying on the later-debunked Steele dossier to get a warrant to surveil Trump's campaign; for coziness with Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic opponent; and for repeatedly accepting information from anti-Trump sources, if not showing the same bias itself.
Each of Durham's findings of FBI misconduct could be—and have been—applied to the corporate press, which breathlessly reported each twist in the FBI's false narrative and helped to drive American politics off a cliff.
Reliance on the Steele dossier: Like the FBI, media outlets touted the most salacious allegations compiled by former British spy Christoper Steele on behalf of the Clinton campaign. They did so, to borrow a term of art, "without evidence."
Even after the dossier and Steele himself were discredited, the media insisted the FBI's investigation of Trump was super serious.
Prominent journalists earnestly discussed the possibility that Trump was a Manchurian candidate, recruited by Russia three decades earlier.
Coziness with Clinton: While the FBI ignored concerns about alleged election interference regarding Hillary Clinton's campaign, according to Durham, the media let the Democrat spout off, largely unchallenged, about her supposed certainty that the 2016 election was rigged against her. (The reaction was a little different when Trump questioned his loss in 2020.)
Bias against Trump: Agents deemed too biased or unprofessional by the FBI were welcomed on the airways to pontificate on the investigation they had compromised. Peter Strzok—a senior FBI agent who oversaw both the Trump and Clinton investigations until he was fired for anti-Trump texts in 2018—immediately became a regular on-air contributor for MSNBC. And former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, who was pushed out for leaking, landed a similar gig at CNN.
After seven years of experience, and a pseudo-reckoning, has the corporate press learned anything? Let's see whom CNN brought on to discuss the Durham report.
In a statement Monday, the FBI said its leadership has "already implemented dozens of corrective actions, which have now been in place for some time," in response to the problems highlighted by Durham. "Had those reforms been in place in 2016, the missteps identified in the report could have been prevented."
It's currently unknown whether he met with foul play or voluntarily dropped out of sight. However, what is well established is that since that fateful interview with the FBI in March 2019, Luft has made powerful enemies in both Chinese and American intelligence and, of course, in the Biden syndicate

Former Democratic senator Claire McCaskill said Republicans investigating President Joe Biden for his role in foreign business dealings with his son Hunter are going after a "father for loving his son."
"[Republicans] are going to try to indict a father for loving his son, who has been addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son," McCaskill told MSNBC on Wednesday. "And that, I think, doesn’t fly with most of the American people."
McCaskill added that there is "no evidence" that Biden is involved in "nefarious" business dealings.
She said that a "small, calcified circle of the Trumpers" are the ones who "want to believe that somehow Joe Biden was involved in nefarious dealings."
The comments come despite House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) saying this week that Republican investigations into foreign business dealings by the Biden family are "rising to the level of impeachment inquiry."
"If you’re sitting in our position today, we would know none of this if Republicans had not taken the majority. We've only followed where the information has taken us," McCarthy told Sean Hannity on Fox News Monday. "This is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed."
He added later that "this is gonna rise to an impeachment inquiry the way the Constitution tells us to do this."
McCarthy detailed findings made by the House, including that 16 of 17 payments made from Romania to the Biden family's shell companies were made while Biden was vice president, and that the family has taken Chinese money despite denials from the president.
A plea deal between Hunter Biden and the Department of Justice fell through on Wednesday. Federal judge Maryellen Noreika rejected the deal and told both prosecutors and Biden's legal team to craft a new one.
The original deal would have allowed Biden to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax crimes and receive immunity on a broad range of criminal charges, all while avoiding jail time.

BEAST MODE: Tom Cotton Says Hunter Biden and DOJ Are 'Co-Conspirators Strategizing'
Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) said that Hunter Biden and the Justice Department prosecutors who offered him a favorable new plea deal are not "adversaries"—they’re "co-conspirators."
Cotton was criticizing a revised agreement that the Justice Department offered Biden on Wednesday, saying it would have given the scandal-plagued first son "blanket immunity."
The original plea agreement with the Justice Department unexpectedly collapsed after a top prosecutor said the deal would not guarantee Hunter Biden permanent immunity, leading to the revised agreement. Judge Maryellen Noreika, however, refused to accept the revisions, leading Biden to plead not guilty to two tax charges.
Cotton told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow that the immunity provision is what killed the original plea agreement.
"That's what blew up the plea deal," the Arkansas Republican said. "It wasn't the judge rejecting it, it's that the U.S. attorney sheepishly admitted that they couldn’t guarantee it. And Hunter Biden's lawyers, who obviously knew that that's what they were pursuing, refused to go forward with the plea deal unless it gave him blanket immunity for all crimes."
"There's no confusion here between these two sides," Cotton said. "When the Biden Department of Justice and Hunter Biden's criminal defense attorneys sit down, those aren't adversaries negotiating. Those are co-conspirators strategizing."
What the Justice Department should do, Cotton said, is "allow their investigators to pursue the facts, wherever they lead, and charge Hunter Biden with the crimes that he has committed, and take it to a jury trial."
The release of an FBI informant’s allegations about the Biden family’s dealings with Burisma finally explains what a Ukrainian energy company wanted with a corrupt American political clan.
Why was Burisma paying a vice president’s son tens of thousands of dollars a month?
According to the allegations on the FBI’s FD-1023 form released to Sen. Chuck Grassley by whistleblowers, Burisma wanted to launch an IPO in the United States and was looking to first buy an American energy company. Such a move would have required regulatory approval and would have also potentially been very lucrative for anyone on the inside.
The allegations by the FBI informant describes Mykola Zlochevsky, Burisma’s co-founder and a former minister in the ousted pro-Russian Yanukovych government, saying that “it costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden”.
And yet the rewards could have been even richer.
While the informant urged Zlochevsky to launch his IPO by forming an American company or buying a shell company, Hunter Biden had allegedly told the energy boss that his company “could raise much more capital if Burisma purchased a larger US-based business that already had a history In the US oil and gas sector.” Allegedly some Texas companies were on the table.
Why did Hunter Biden allegedly pitch Burisma on a messier and more expensive process? An obvious potential answer is that the Biden family may have hoped to cash in by being on the inside. To understand Burisma’s plans and those of the Biden family, we need to look at what was going on with the oil and gas sector beginning in 2014, when Hunter started being paid a small fortune to sit on the Ukrainian energy company’s board, through 2016 when some of the initial conversations that the informant reported to the FBI were first taking place.
2014 was a good year for oil and gas IPOs. Texas’ Parsley Energy rode annual revenues below Burisma’s estimated $400 million to a big IPO, rising revenues and an eventual $4.5 billion sale. Looking at examples like these, Hunter and Zlochevsky could have envisioned bringing together a Texas oil company and a Ukrainian oil company united around a similar political business model. The Biden name would have cleared the way for permits in Texas and political cover in Ukraine. Indeed the one thing we know that Joe Biden did for Burisma was threaten to pull foreign aid unless the Ukrainian government fired Viktor Shokin, a prosecutor who had been looking into Burisma’s affairs, and was seen as a block to any successful IPO in America.
The plan, implied by the FBI informant, was for Joe Biden to clear away Burisma’s problems in Ukraine and pave the way for the takeover of a Texas energy company. The Biden family would have potentially been on the ground floor of the Texas deal (and Hunter and other Biden family members could have been cut sizable checks or received shares on the American end) before being on the inside of an IPO for a combined company that would potentially be worth billions.
But political developments in Ukraine and a roller coaster ride in the energy markets, made that a shaky proposition. The Texas deal and the IPO never happened. Burisma and the Bidens didn’t look like they had much of a future. In the fall of 2015, Joe Biden held a press conference with Barack Obama at which he announced that he would not run for president.
This is when the FBI informant began meeting with Burisma officials and they vented about Hunter Biden who was increasingly outliving his purpose, but who was also too dangerous to let go. Only in March 2017 was Hunter’s $1 million a year salary finally cut. By then Zlochevsky had been entangled in legal proceedings and a Burisma launch in the United States was impossible.
Any political future for Joe Biden or financial future for Hunter Biden seemed to be equally done.
As the Burisma deal began falling apart, so did Hunter Biden. His ex-wife Kathleen Buhle’s memoir describes his transition from alcoholism to heavy drugs beginning around the start of the Burisma deal. Between the various memoirs and investigations, it’s widely known that Hunter burned through a massive fortune.
“The board fee had morphed into a wicked sort of funny money,” Hunter Biden wrote in his own memoir. “It hounded me to spend recklessly, dangerously, destructively. Humiliatingly. So I did.”
But the Burisma millions may have just been the beginning of a much bigger pay day. Before his father visited Ukraine, Hunter wrote of the Burisma arrangements, “this is a huge step for us.”
“We need to have a plan on how we develop a corporate entity or LLP that allows us to draw on funds generated here to free us from existing (under-producing current commitments) and to build our own investment and expansion strategy.”
Hunter Biden was living like a guy who expected to be making much more than he was. Burisma, like his Chinese deals, remained unfulfilled. Hunter may have been out to be more than a mere millionaire on paper while trying to keep up with payments on his houses and his Porsche, but aspiring to become a billionaire. The vice president’s disfavored son had spent much of the Obama administration trying to monetize his dad’s position for the rest of the family.
Joe Biden had something Barack Obama did not: a brother and a son who could hustle aggressively. And yet with the Obama administration approaching its end, Hunter had come away with only a taste of the foreign money that the Clintons had gorged themselves on.
Burisma, like the China deals, had never delivered the big payoff that Hunter had been chasing. The foreign companies remained foreign and they quickly tired of paying Hunter. The deal of a lifetime was slipping away even as his father’s time was drawing near. By the end of 2015, a Biden presidency seemed wildly unlikely. The smart money was on Hillary Clinton winning and then serving two terms. As painful as that was for Republicans, it was even more so for Hunter who was watching the last opportunity to monetize his father’s career slipping away.
Any chance that Joe Biden had for a future presidential campaign would require big money.
Hunter’s debts were piling up and once his father left office, they would come due. It’s not surprising that Hunter’s substance abuse issues, which had been around for a while, became catastrophic. One way or another the good life was over and Hunter had decided to go out with a bang. Only when his father relaunched his political career did the spree become inconvenient.
Hunter Biden wrecked his last opportunities under Vice President Biden and made himself too toxic to be able to significantly cash in with foreign investors under President Biden.
The FBI’s informant lays out an implied picture of just how much money the Bidens were chasing. This was not about the millions of dollars, money that Hunter casually wasted on crack, prostitutes and a lifestyle beyond his means, but potentially billions of dollars.
It’s not hard to imagine how a Burisma – Texas deal could have come together and how it could have benefited a whole circle of Biden family members, associates and key donors. Had such an arrangement succeeded, Joe Biden would have gained an incredibly wealthy family and donor circle that could have given him a shot or later another shot at the White House without becoming too dependent on the political favors and donors that made him a puppet president.
When Joe Biden intervened to protect Burisma, was he just protecting his son’s income stream of five figures a month or was he looking to gain billions for his family and his political allies?
The difference is more than just a matter of zeroes.
Democrats and their media have insisted that Hunter’s sins were his own and that Joe Biden’s involvement was limited to helping his troubled son. This narrative has been undermined by not only the FBI informant’s disclosures, but also by allegations from past business partners, a WhatsApp message from Hunter explicitly threatening a Chinese business in his father’s name, and the lengths to which the FBI went to shut down any investigation of anyone beyond Hunter.
Joe Biden’s defense has been to argue that no one can show that he profited financially from Hunter’s business deals. While a web of shell companies was used to move money around to Biden family members, no one has yet conclusively proven that money went directly to the man described in various communications as ‘the big guy’. But the difference between a deal potentially worth millions and billions would be that the latter wouldn’t just subsidize Hunter’s Porsche or prostitutes, but Joe Biden’s future political career.
When Biden told Ukrainian officials, “we’re leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor’s not fired, you’re not getting the money”, was he hoping to buy his way back into the White House using Burisma’s money?
Did Joe Biden intervene for Burisma to help Hunter pay off his debts or to become president?

Hunter Biden poised to join elite ranks of scion scofflaws
What happened: Hunter Biden, the disgraced son of President Joe Biden, was supposed to become a convicted criminal on Wednesday. He was expected to plead guilty to multiple tax charges as part of a negotiated agreement with federal prosecutors, which critics had denounced as a "sweetheart deal."
Instead, Hunter pleaded not guilty to the charges after Judge Maryellen Noreika rejected the plea deal, which would have granted the first son broad legal immunity from other tax crimes, as well as drug- and firearm-related offenses.
What it means: Although Hunter will not immediately join the elite ranks of scofflaw political scions, his place among the top 10 presidents' (or prime ministers') sons convicted of crimes is all but assured. Here's who else would make the cut, in no particular order.

The sons of ousted Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak were convicted in 2011 for embezzling state funds.

This crackhead party boy who had shown no previous sign of having any interest in art, much less a talent for it, overnight became one of the hottest properties in the art world, with his paintings going for as much as $500,000 and generally selling for between $55,000 to $225,000 each. By way of comparison, in 2021 a painting by one of the most celebrated artists of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso, sold for $150,000. To be sure, better-known Picasso paintings frequently sell for millions, but it was astonishing for Hunter Biden paintings to be selling for prices that were remotely comparable to what was paid for anything that one of the great masters produced.
Astonishing and suspicious. What was really going on was all too obvious, although those who were involved in the scheme did their best to conceal it. New York gallery owner George Berges, who displayed Hunter’s daubings, insisted that everything was as honest as the day is long: “I know that there’s a lot of politics involved at the moment which is a shame because his work is not only good it’s important. Hunter Biden will become one of the most consequential artists in this century because the world needs his art now more than ever.” Oh yes, that’s exactly what the world needs.
Business Insider noted Monday that “in 2021, when a New York art gallery debuted Hunter Biden’s paintings with asking prices as high as $500,000, the White House said that Hunter Biden’s team had a process for carefully vetting buyers and that their identities were known only to the gallery, and not to Hunter Biden himself.” There, see? No influence peddling here! Why, good ol’ Honest Hunter doesn’t even know who is buying his dreck! So how could he be selling them access to The Big Guy?
Well, knock me over with a feather again; it looks as if he found a way. Business Insider adds that Hunter “did in fact learn the identity of two buyers, according to three people directly familiar with Hunter Biden’s own account of his art career. And one of those buyers is indeed someone who got a favor from the Biden White House.” Wow, who could possibly have seen this coming?
The art patron in question is one Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, whom Business Insider describes as “a Los Angeles real estate investor and philanthropist,” as well as, lo and behold, a “significant Democratic donor who has given $13,414 to the Biden campaign and $29,700 to the Democratic National Campaign Committee this year. In 2022, she hosted a fundraiser headlined by Vice President Kamala Harris.” In July 2022, Old Joe named Hirsh Naftali to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad, which “as an agency of the Government of the United States of America” is dedicated to “protecting endangered historic sites in Eastern and Central Europe that are associated with the heritage of U.S. citizens.” It’s a plum appointment of the type that usually goes to such people as well-heeled donors to the president’s political party.
What is not known is whether Old Joe appointed Hirsh Naftali to this Commission before or after she shelled out for Hunter’s paint spatterings. But this is not as important a question as it may seem to be at first glance. Hirsh Naftali bought Hunter’s art, and Hirsh Naftali got an appointment from the Biden regime. Whether her investment in Hunter’s paintings was a request for that appointment or payment for it makes little difference. The other possibility is that Biden named her to this Commission because, gosh darn it, she is an expert on historic American heritage sites in Europe, and her interest in Crackhead Picasso is just a coincidence.
The Biden regime, of course, insists that “there was no connection between her art purchases and her appointment.” White House spokes-soyboy Ian Sams said unctuously: “Hunter Biden is a private citizen who is entitled to have his own career as an artist. We are not involved in his art sales, and any buyers of his art are not disclosed to the White House.” But as Old Joe himself would say, Come on, man!
If Hirsh Naftali had already bought Hunter’s art before her appointment, she shouldn’t have been appointed. If she was appointed first and then bought the art, she should have thought twice. Remember all that business Bill Clinton used to say about avoiding even the appearance of impropriety? Slick Willie ignored this adage in practice, and Biden tramples it in the mud.
The Biden regime is playing the American people for fools. It isn’t the first time. It won’t be the last.

Hunter Biden reportedly knows the identities of at least two of his art buyers, one of whom is reportedly a large Democrat donor, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, who President Joe Biden placed as the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
The White House previously claimed Hunter Biden would not know who the identities of the “anonymous” art buyers when questioned about conflicts of interest and ethics concerns.
Naftali is Los Angeles real estate investor and is influential in California Democrat circles. In 2023, she donated $13,414 to the Biden campaign, along with $29,700 to the Democrat National Campaign Committee this year, according to Business Insider, which reported Naftali is one of at least three buyers of Hunter Biden’s art:
In July 2022, eight months after Hunter Biden’s first art opening, Joe Biden announced Hirsh Naftali’s appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. It is unclear whether Hirsh’s purchase of Hunter Biden’s artwork occurred before or after that appointment.

An administration official told Insider that her appointment had been recommended to Biden by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. They said there was no connection between her art purchases and her appointment. They said that Hirsh Naftali was deeply involved with Jewish causes in Los Angeles and Israel — valuable background for a commission that works to preserve many historic Jewish sites across Europe. They noted her service on a policy board at the RAND Corporation, a prominent think tank. Membership on the commission is an unpaid position that is often filled by campaign donors, family members, and political allies — the same crowd that often winds up with US ambassadorial appointments. Hirsh Naftali’s fundraising activities mark her as the kind of well-connected donor who often wins such appointments, regardless of any relationship they might have with the president’s family. But they do not address the possibility that Hunter Biden might have voiced his support for her appointment.
Hunter Biden also reportedly sold art to his top lawyer, Kevin Morris, who also paid Hunter Biden’s unpaid IRS bill of about $2 million. The entertainment lawyer is at the center of Hunter Biden’s new-found career of painting modern art, an occupation connected to the art market known for corruption.
Morris helped Hunter forge a framework to sell art to anonymous buyers through a dealer with ties to the Chinese art market. Morris was also involved in Hunter’s 2021 controversial memoir.

That one buyer represents the majority of the $1,379,000 in receipts that Hunter Biden’s gallery received for his work, the documents show, with the gallery receiving a 40 to 45 percent commission. The $875,000 art buyer resides outside New York and purchased some of Hunter Biden’s largest format works, including a 12-foot-long red-white-and-blue piece painted on sheet metal and entitled “Pandemonium.”
In total, Hunter Biden anonymously sold about 12 paintings for less than $500,000, the Washington Post reported in January. It is unclear how much money the art generated at the sale, but estimates suggest he earned at least five times more than the average American artist — all while being a novice painter.
Insider reported Monday that Hunter Biden’s gallery has $1,379,000 in receipts for his work.
The art industry is known for shady business transactions. A Senate subcommittee report detailed in 2020 how the art market serves as a vehicle for money laundering:
The art industry is considered the largest, legal unregulated industry in the United States. Unlike financial institutions, the art industry is not subject to Bank Secrecy Act’s (“BSA”) requirements, which mandate detailed procedures to prevent money laundering and to verify a customer’s identity. While the BSA does not apply to art transactions by art dealers and auction houses, sanctions do. No U.S. person or entity is allowed to do business with a sanctioned individual or entity.

While the art market is not regulated by the BSA, it is governed by unwritten rules. A large number of art sales happen through intermediaries referred to as “art advisors” who can represent both purchasers and sellers. In a typical transaction, a purchaser may not ask who owns the piece of art they are purchasing; the seller may not ask for whom it is being purchased or the origin of the money. And in general an art advisor would be reluctant to reveal the identity of their client for fear of being cut out of the deal and losing the business.

Because the art industry is not subject to BSA requirements, when a piece of art is sold, there is no legal requirement for the selling party to confirm the identity of the buyer or that the buyer is not laundering money through the purchase. While the four biggest auction houses have voluntary anti-money laundering (“AML”) programs, the employees who facilitated art purchases in the Subcommittee’s case study said they never asked the art advisor the identity of his client. Instead, the auction houses considered the art advisor the principal purchaser and performed any due diligence on the art advisor, even when it was well-known that the ultimate owner was someone else. With regard to the funds used to purchase art, the auction houses told the Subcommittee they rely on financial institutions to ensure the integrity of the funds, even though the auction houses interact directly with the buyer. But these voluntary AML policies are just for sales through the auction houses. As stated above, the majority of art sales are private transactions. A private dealer interviewed by the Subcommittee stated she had no written AML policies, tries to work with people she knows and trusts, looks for red flags, and relies on her gut. She also explained that her practices have significantly changed over the years and that she also relies on advice from AML lawyers.
Secrecy, anonymity, and a lack of regulation create an environment ripe for laundering money and evading sanctions.
The California real estate investor and Biden administration commission member who purchased Hunter Biden's art has contributed more than $4.5 million to liberal politicians and causes, according to federal campaign finance disclosures reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali has funneled roughly $4.53 million to Democratic candidates since 2004, the disclosures show. President Joe Biden is a major recipient of that money—his campaign and victory fund has received more than $220,000 from Naftali, nearly $7,000 of which came in April. Naftali has also sent the Democratic National Committee more than $200,000 since Biden became president, and she contributed nearly $75,000 to former president Barack Obama's campaign and victory fund from 2008 to 2012. In addition to the campaign contributions, Naftali sent $250,000 to the Biden Inaugural Committee, disclosures show.

But the first son, according to Insider, knew of at least one buyer—wealthy Los Angeles attorney Kevin Morris, who loaned Hunter Biden millions of dollars to pay off back taxes. While someone close to Morris told the New York Times that the attorney may have received the art as a gift, Insider found that Morris purchased the art.
In addition to her contributions to the Biden campaign, Naftali—who did not return a request for comment—last year hosted a fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris. Naftali has also contributed to a who's who of congressional Democrats, including former House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D., N.Y.), and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.).

But Hunter Biden has indicated that he holds sway when it comes to the commission's members. Hunter Biden's cousin, Missy Owens, in March 2015 asked if he could secure her mother a spot on the commission. In response, Hunter Biden noted that "Eric," an apparent reference to business partner Eric Schwerin, asked to serve on the commission in 2008. Schwerin landed on the Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad in 2015.

Naftali attended several large events at the White House but has also had several more intimate visits. She met White House senior adviser Neera Tanden on March 21, the visitor logs show.
Naftali was identified Monday as a buyer of Hunter Biden’s art work, a revelation that raises significant ethics concerns for the White House. President Joe Biden appointed Naftali, who owns a commercial real estate firm in Los Angeles, to the prestigious Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad just nine months after the younger Biden’s first art show. Naftali has donated more than $13,000 to the Biden campaign and $36,500 to the Democratic National Committee.
The White House promised that they would install "reasonable safeguards" around Hunter Biden’s art show, and claimed all buyers would remain anonymous. But Naftali’s visits could cast doubt on those claims, particularly as Business Insider reported that Hunter Biden knew the identity of at least one buyer: his close friend and adviser Kevin Morris, who has loaned the embattled first son millions of dollars.

In addition to the meeting with Tanden, a longtime Democratic operative, Naftali met with White House policy adviser Richard Figueroa on Dec. 14, 2021, and Sept. 14, 2022. She visited the West Wing with six other people on Sept. 15, 2022, and the East Wing residence with around forty others on Sept. 17, 2022.
Despite little experience in the art world, Hunter Biden has sold at least $1.3 million of his works, including $875,000 worth of paintings to a single anonymous patron. Those art purchases have likely provided a lifeline to Hunter Biden as he faces a series of legal and financial problems.
Hunter Biden was indicted last month on misdemeanor charges of failing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. He also pleaded guilty to a felony gun charge for owning a firearm while addicted to drugs.
Hunter Biden settled a paternity lawsuit last month involving his four-year-old daughter, whom the Biden family has refused to acknowledge. Hunter agreed to pay $5,000 in monthly child support and give his daughter some of his paintings as part of the settlement.
The White House once said it would install "reasonable safeguards" to ensure that the sale of Hunter Biden's artwork to ensure buyers would not have any "influence" over the president. A new report challenges the truthfulness of those comments.
Not only do the Bidens know at least two of the individuals who purchased some of Hunter’s paintings, but one of them, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, was appointed to a glamorous federal commission not long after buying the first son’s art, Business Insider reports. The other buyer is Kevin Morris, the Los Angeles attorney who has reportedly lent Hunter at least $2 million for his back taxes, child support, and living expenses for his lavish home in Los Angeles. The New York Times reported that Morris, who is open about owning the art, received several paintings as a gift.

The Insider report is certain to raise a litany of ethics questions for the president. Although the timing of Naftali’s purchase is unknown, Hunter has suggested he’s played a hand in appointments to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.
In March 2015, Hunter Biden’s cousin, Missy Owens, inquired about whether her mother could receive a presidential appointment, emails from a copy of his laptop show.
"I didn’t know she wanted to do that me [sic] of these. Eric asked for one of these the day after the election in 2008," Hunter wrote back. "You know better than me what are real and interesting appointments. Let’s go through the list with Steve and see what makes sense. I don’t know how much 2016 and nepotism plays into it."
The "Eric" in that email appears to be Hunter Biden’s longtime business associate Eric Schwerin, who was appointed to the commission in 2015. President Biden has denied any speaking to his son about "his overseas business dealings," although the White House since changed its message to the president "was never in business with his son."
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki dismissed ethics concerns about Hunter’s art career in July 2021, and said that "any offer out of the normal course would be rejected out of hand."

Wow. So both are closely linked to Democrat politics, with one of them, Naftali, getting herself appointed to a Biden art commission and the other serving as Hunter Biden's lawyer, fixer, and bailout man for Hunter Biden's back taxes. He was last seen in public huffing a bong in Malibu.
It kind of contradicts what the White House said the Hunter painting sales operation would be:
When Hunter Biden first announced he would make a high-dollar foray into the art world, the Biden team promised the identities of those who purchased Hunter's art would remain anonymous. On the campaign trail, Joe Biden promised an 'absolute wall' between his duties as president and his family's business dealings.
The White House said at the time the buyers had been vetted and their identity was only known to the gallery - suggesting Hunter's latest business venture would not become a way to sell White House influence.
The latest revelations from Congress about Biden's involvement in Hunter's business dealings pretty well puts paid to that claim about some kind of wall on Hunter's business dealings, while 60 Minutes's adoring 2021 profile of Hunter as the art world's hot new sensation now looks skeezy.
The art world itself and its major critics have basically called bee ess on the idea of these Hunter paintings being masterpieces.
The names of these buyers should have been revealed right from the beginning. According to the report, Hunter knew who they were and would have been at least theoretically in a position to respond to whatever it was they might have wanted in return for the purchases as a result. And if Hunter knew, you can bet others in the White House knew, too. The only people these buyers were being concealed from were the voters, who might just judge for themselves whether this was a pay-to-play operation.
These are far from the only buyers of Hunter's newfound talent as a creator of art at masterpiece prices, but they are indicative of what seems to be going on.
Where are the leaked out names of actual art collectors on this list, the kind of people who normally pay these kinds of prices for art on its merit to go into their collections that journalists write about and that the public wants to see? So far, we don't see any of those leaked out.
All we see now are just see a couple of politically connected characters who might have reasons other than a quest for the greatest art for their collections for their purchases. Morris's purchase, for instance, could probably go a ways towards repaying Hunter's debt to him for paying his taxes. Money in, money out.
As for the art commission appointment Naftali got, it's unknown whether the appointment was made before or after the purchase, according to the report, but that could still be pay-for-play either way -- either as a means of getting influence, or as a thank you purchase. The story says it was an unpaid appointment, but well, let's just say these commissions wield a lot of power and prestige for things art collectors care about. There's a reason the art world denizens angle to get on them.
It all suggests that the Biden way of doing business is carrying on the way it always carries on. There appears to be an art-selling operation that is targeted towards buyers for influence and the Bidens appear to be benefiting. As if there weren't enough things to investigate, this looks investigate-able, too. It's just so blatant, and carries so much potential for influence-peddling and conflicts of interest that it seems like an open ad for it. At a minimum, it's time to release the names of all the art buyers and find out if they had gotten political benefits a lot bigger than the benefits of Hunter's whiz-kid "talent."
Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer has testified before a federal grand jury regarding the Biden family and plans to be interviewed by the House Oversight Committee next week, his attorney said Monday.
Matthew Schwartz, who represents Archer, told the Washington Free Beacon that Archer has met with numerous investigators regarding the Biden family.
"Devon Archer believes strongly in the rule of law and the democratic system, and is prepared to answer the Committee’s questions just as he has already answered similar questions from a federal grand jury, the Department of Justice, and several other government agencies in their investigations concerning the Biden family," Schwartz said.
According to the New York Post, Archer plans to tell the Oversight panel that he was with Hunter Biden on more than two dozen occasions when the embattled first son called his father during meetings with foreign business partners. The Post reported Archer will testify that Hunter Biden called his father on speakerphone during one meeting they had in December 2015 with the owner of Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company that paid Hunter Biden and Archer more than $80,000 a month.
The report marks a major development in the Biden family saga. The president has repeatedly denied ever speaking with his son about his foreign business ventures. The report also comes after Republicans released an FBI report that shows a confidential source told the FBI in 2020 that Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky claims he paid $10 million in bribes to Hunter and Joe Biden for political favors.
Schwartz did not comment on the Post report, but said Archer will testify before the Oversight panel next week.
"There have been many leaks and much speculation about Mr. Archer’s potential statement to the Oversight Committee, but next week, Mr. Archer will get to speak for himself."
Hunter Biden and Archer were partners at the investment firm Rosemont Seneca until Archer’s indictment on federal fraud charges in 2016.
It is unclear whether Archer spoke to the federal grand jury or prosecutors about Hunter Biden’s phone calls to Joe Biden. The U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware reached a plea agreement with Hunter Biden last month on misdemeanor tax charges. He also pleaded guilty to a felony gun charge, but will enter a diversionary program to wipe that charge from his record.
Two IRS whistleblowers have accused the Justice Department of pulling punches in the Hunter Biden investigation. IRS agents Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler testified last week that federal prosecutors who handled the investigation initially sought felony taxes charges against Hunter Biden, including for Hunter Biden’s failure to report income from Burisma. But the IRS investigators said the Justice Department ultimately settled for misdemeanor counts.
Shapley and Ziegler said prosecutors prohibited investigators from asking questions about Joe Biden and other members of his family.

This week, as accounts of the whistleblowers who blew the lid off the hampered investigations of the President’s crackhead son Hunter were made public, I imagined a writer making a pitch to producers for a dramatic program called Wilmington, a political version, if you will, of Dallas with more than a hint of the Godfather. Clearly, my proposed dramatization covers so much ground, it will have to be serialized.
For one thing, there’s a very sordid background to the story. The family has a long history of corruption and drug use unhampered by legal prosecution.
Informed by writers like Jonathan Turley, Julie Kelly, Miranda Devine, Margot Cleveland, and Paul Sperry, this week the story reads like the sleaziest of television series. There’s incest, the president showering with his young daughter per her diary which she left behind in a hotel room; tax cheating and sexual peccadillos -- Hunter writing off payments to prostitutes and sex clubs as business expenses; millions in undisclosed bribes by Chinese and Ukrainian figures, often seemingly as part of a Mafia-type Biden muscling in which benefits and/or consequences are promised and/or threatened for non-payment.
There are more than a few hints of lawfare vendettas: Attorney General Merrick Garland, embittered at having been denied a seat on the Supreme Court, appears to have helped shove under the carpet extensive evidence of the Biden corruption. The newest revelations from whistleblowers to Congress follow on the Durham Report, which can provide the series with a female villain always a necessary subplot for noir tales:
“Former President Barack Obama and his director of national intelligence, James Clapper, were both briefed in 2016 on reports that then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton planned to vilify Donald Trump by claiming he was colluding with Russia to win the election in 2016.”
Intelligence and FBI heads -- Brennan, Clapper and Comey -- fabricated Russiagate to tie up President Trump and prevent him from exercising fully his rightful office.
The Hunter Biden laptop by itself, which the FBI knew in 2019 was authentic despite 51 former intelligence officials publicly suggesting it was “likely “Russian disinformation” details multiple business, sex, and drug crimes. You can download it for free.
How could the government not know after having obtained a copy of this, that Hunter was a security risk?
There was evidence received this week that a credible account of the family’s receipt of foreign bribes was kept hidden from investigators by DoJ officials. Professor Margot Cleveland summarizes:
The Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office hid an FBI report that the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma paid Hunter and Joe Biden each $5 million bribes, documents released by the House Ways and Means Committee reveal. [snip] “Most recently, former Attorney General Bill Barr provided an interview in which he stated that information provided by a Confidential Human Source (‘CHS’) concerning an alleged bribery scheme by President Joe Biden was received through the Pittsburgh [U.S. Attorney Office] and was determined it was not likely to have been disinformation,” Shapley said in his affidavit. Barr noted the FD-1023 “was provided to the ongoing investigation in Delaware to follow up on and to check out,” the affidavit continued.
But according to the IRS whistleblower, the CHS information Barr referenced was never provided to Shapley, nor to any of the IRS agents acting under his supervision, nor to the FBI agents working with the IRS investigators.
Shapley added that he and other IRS criminal investigators had asked to participate in the briefings the Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney’s Office was providing Delaware, but their requests were denied. Had they participated in those briefings, Shapley stressed, they would have undertaken proper investigative steps to determine the veracity of the CHS’s claims. According to Shapley’s affidavit, however, because the information was never provided to the investigators, the agents involved took no steps to determine if the CHS’s allegations could be substantiated.
Someone in the DoJ is not telling the truth about who hid this.
Every successful series needs some humor, and this week we also got that. The Bidens obviously find most damning an email in 2017 from Hunter demanding payment or else from a corrupt Chinese businessman and threatening that his father, who was sitting there with him, would retaliate if the promise to pay was not kept. Just days following these inducements, millions of dollars flowed into the coffers of the family members through a series of LLCs and a bank in Malta. (I’m not sure how to show the money channeling. I keep seeing an old timey movie technique on the order of Flash Gordon -- a map of the world with flying dollars flitting from one account to another.)
In any event, the response by Hunter’s lawyer seems particularly laughable. “Any verifiable words or actions of my client, in the midst of a horrible addiction, are solely his own and have no connection to anyone in the family.” Of course, the defense -- he’s a crackhead and you can’t believe anything he says -- conflicts with Hunter’s claim that the millions he received for “consulting,” “legal,” and “board fees” were for some expertise and good judgement. David Burge (Iowahawk to his legion of fans, of which I am part) hits the satirical nail on the head: “Your honor, did I mention that the alleged event took place during a full moon and my client is a werewolf.”
The Washington Post finally got around to covering the story in a few graphs, in my hard copy on p. 15, highlighting instead, almost two full pages on the effects of the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Maybe because the paper’s CEO has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats, including the head of this corruptocrat clan, “Big Guy” Joe. In any event, for those of us who are older and have still retained some of our mental faculties, it is a sharp contrast to the paper’s coverage of the far less scandalous Watergate which, as I recall, ran on the front page day after day after day, made Woodward and Bernstein (stenographers for a bitter Associate FBI Director Mark Felt who had been passed over for FBI head) into make-believe heroes in press and film.
For any remaining movie producers who like to pretend we have a free press, we might do a shot of CNN and the New York Timesbelatedly covering the story. Or this week’s presser where for a couple of minutes the press gallery got off its duffs and started asking real questions. For all that has been revealed so far, it’s clear the Department of Justice whiffed over and again, but Congress can and probably will subpoena a number of witnesses the attorney general’s troops chose not to or were kept from, and in time the press may be forced into doing its job more assiduously. In the meantime Hunter and Garland were both guests at a White House dinner Thursday night, where Hunter, due to be sentenced this week on seriously watered-down charges, can be seen smiling and chatting with guests. Optics, but for what message? To suggest the government has nothing on Hunter, that Garland is not corrupt, or happy faces to disguise concern over what is coming? It certainly doesn’t help Garland to have attended.

The Biden family is notorious for being the crookedest clan not only in Delaware, but in D.C.
Delaware is a pretty small place, but D.C. is even smaller, yet the scope for corruption, unethical behavior, conflicts of interest, and even brazen thievery are far greater in Washington D.C.
And yet the Biden family stood out even there. To be born a Biden in the era after Joe switched his party affiliation, plagiarized his speeches, and inappropriately touched every woman or girl he could get his hands on in the state and the nation, was to be bred into dirty money.
Joe Biden was now asked in Wisconsin if Hunter had “profited off the Biden name”.
“None whatsoever,” the godfather of Delaware retorted. And the entire state laughed.
Say it ain’t so, Joe.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat or a Republican, in Delaware, everyone knows that the Biden name means money in the bank. Literally. Just ask MBNA, Hunter’s former employer, whose executives poured $200,000 into Joe’s coffers, and one of whom bought his house.
“Don’t worry about investors,” James Biden, Joe’s brother, famous for scoring a billion dollar contract to build houses in Iraq, told executives at Paradigm Global Advisors. “We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”
James had bought Paradigm together with Hunter Biden.
Biden can try to deny the obvious, but he isn’t even trying to deny that the emails and photos are real, or that it was his son’s laptop. Instead, he spouted a word salad of gibberish, stating, “the vast of the intelligence people have come out and said there’s no basis at all.”
Why does Biden need to call on “the vast of the intelligence people” who carefully avoided making a firm statement, to deny something he is better able to deny on his own?
Because it’s really an admission.
The latest emails make it all too clear that Joe Biden got Viktor Shokin, the Ukranian prosecutor, fired because Burisma wanted him gone and that Hunter Biden’s purpose in making deals with a powerful Chinese energy company linked to the Communist regime was to produce income for “me and my family”. It’s no wonder that the latest reports link the FBI’s subpoena of the laptop, not to the media’s false claims of a Russian op, but to a money laundering investigation.
Investing in Joe Biden or, as one message allegedly has it, “the big guy”, meant depositing the money with James or Hunter. And then Hunter deposited a laptop with a small computer repair shop in Delaware five miles from his father’s home, and never picked it up. The rest is history.
And the history is happening now.
The Hunter Biden laptop unrolls two ragged threads. One is the descent of Joe Biden’s son into new depths of depravity and the other are the foreign investors who bought into Joe Biden Inc.
The alleged photos of Hunter Biden’s drug use and underage girls might be dismissed as a spoiled rich kid’s demons. But, looking at public photos and videos of Joe Biden touching, caressing, and sniffing women and young girls, it’s hard not to see the influence. What did a teenage Hunter grow up seeing his father do? How did that shape him into the man he is?
And why was Hunter able to get away with it for so long?
In alleged text messages exchanged between Joe and Hunter Biden, father and son discuss “sexually inappropriate” behavior with a 14-year-old girl.
“She told my therapist that I was sexually inappropriate with [name of 14-year-old girl redacted] when she says that I facetime naked with her and the reason I can’t have her out to see me is because I’ll walk around naked smoking crack talking [redacted] girls on face time,” Hunter appeared to message his father.
What was done about this? The odds are good that the answer is nothing.
The Hunter Biden laptop was turned over to the FBI in December of 2019. And the FBI appears to have done little with it. Giuliani submitted material allegedly showing criminal sexual behavior to the Delaware police who passed it off to the Delaware Department of Justice.
A spokesman for Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings said it was sent to the FBI.
Jennings is not only a Democrat, but a friend of the Biden family who had worked under Beau Biden and has been vigorously campaigning for Joe Biden.
“I’ve known Joe, Jill, and the Biden family for most of my life. Joe is one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever known,” Jennings had posted on her Facebook page.
The Biden family may have been able to get away with a lot for the same reason as the Kennedy clan. They were big fish in a small pond being protected by the Democrat club. Like some Kennedy sons, Hunter may have spun out of control because he could get away with it.
That’s why Hunter Biden’s story is just an echo of Joe. Father and son appear to share a boundless greed for unearned wealth and women, and a complete lack of self-control with both.
And both men have spent their lives being protected from the consequences of their actions.
Laptop computers, like notebooks, are the mirrors of their owners. We use them and fill them with the things that matter to us. Going through a lost laptop or phone tells us a lot about the man or woman who spent years with it. Hunter Biden’s laptop is a mirror of the man. And the mirror shows a broken and corrupt human being filling its gigabytes with his demons.
What were Hunter Biden’s demons? The same as the ones that bedeviled Joe. Women and money. And as dirty and wrong as possible. That’s why Hunter allegedly didn’t just seek out money, he went after business opportunities in the most corrupt places in the world, like Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China, and he didn’t just chase women.
Instead, Rudy Giuliani has said that the laptop contained photos of underage girls.
But the bigger story isn’t Hunter’s depravity, it’s the business opportunities, the lobbying gigs and board seats offered to him by foreign companies looking to invest in Joe Biden.
In less than two weeks, Joe Biden’s stock will either boom or bust. And voters are entitled to know who, beyond the battalions of domestic special interests from Wall Street to Hollywood, from the gun control lobby to green businesses, pouring hundreds of millions into his campaign, is getting ready to collect interest on the foreign money that financed Hunter’s lifestyle.
Hunter Biden’s emails offer a window into a global operation, in the Ukraine, in Kazakhstan, and the People’s Republic of China, of investing in Joe Biden courtesy of his wastrel son.
Joe Biden has claimed that he has nothing to do with his son’s business affairs, but that’s a transparent lie that had been shot down even long before the laptop by media reporting. The media is frantically trying to bury information that backs up their own reporting from the primaries when the same media now trying to save Joe Biden originally wanted to bury him.
Why did so many Democrat officials, beginning with Barack Obama, try to keep Joe Biden from running in 2016 and then 2020? Joe Biden is a mediocre hack, but he’s a better candidate than Hillary Clinton, not to mention lefty luminaries like Al Gore or John Kerry. The problem was that the small state that spawned the Biden crime family was littered with their dirty laundry.
And now, in the final stretch before Election Day, the messy stained laundry is spilling out.
Like Humpty Dumpty, all the Democrat horses and men are trying to keep the mess contained. Twitter and Facebook are blatantly suppressing the story. The media has refused to cover the biggest scandal of the election while falsely claiming that Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation despite clear denials by the intelligence community and the FBI.
Hunter Biden’s laptop isn’t just evidence of a degenerate past, but of the coming attractions.
The Biden crime family has built a global network of contacts. And when their father was a mere veep, they could only wet their beaks a little. If he wins, they’ll be able to drown in money.
Joe could throw around his weight in a backwater like Ukraine, but if he wins, Burisma will just be a tiny taste of what is to come. And the corruption in D.C. will make Delaware blush again.
Corruption is nothing new in D.C., but what the laptop reveals about Hunter Biden and his father is that, like the Clintons, they have no self-control. And the only thing more dangerous than cunning crooks at the head of a nation are inept kleptocrats who would leave evidence of their financial and sexual corruption on a laptop abandoned in a Delaware repair shop.
As new details trickle out, two things are obvious about the Biden crime family: they’re not only as crooked as a bent tree in a thunderstorm, they’re also hopelessly stupid at covering it up.
Even as the media denies everything for the Bidens, they have yet to deny the core facts.
Rep. Schiff may claim that Hunter Biden’s laptop is a Russian conspiracy, but neither Joe nor Hunter will say it. And what Schiff and the Democrats and their media can only say behind their backs is that they can’t believe how corrupt and incompetent the horse they bet on really is.

President Joe Biden traveled to Delaware 31 times during his first year as president, spending the majority of his weekends away from the White House.
The president and First Lady Jill Biden arrived Monday at their home in Rehoboth beach for a few days with plans to leave Wednesday for their home in Wilmington.
Biden is setting a new precedent for the president of the United States to leave Washington, DC, nearly every weekend.
It is unclear what Biden does at his home and who he meets with, as the White House has refused to release visitor logs from his two homes.
“I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in August.
The president also made 12 visits to Camp David in 2021, according to former CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller.
Although Biden’s destinations are fairly close to Washington, DC, the president’s travel requires a lot of resources, including complicated Secret Service security protocols and the use of the Marine One presidential helicopter. The press pool of reporters is also shuttled back and forth from D.C. for the weekend.
In August, Biden took nine Marine One flights in 18 days as he juggled time between the White House, Camp David, and his home in Delaware as the disastrous exit from Afghanistan unfolded.

The White House has defended Biden’s many trips to Delaware, arguing that he deserves to spend his weekends at his home instead of the White House.
“The president lives in Wilmington. It’s his home. That’s where he’s lived for many, many years,” Psaki said in March.
