WHAT HAPPENED TO SOCIAL SECURITY? DID IT HAPPEN WHEN AMERICA SURRENDERED ITS BORDERS FOR MORE 'CHEAP' LABOR???

The Biden administration has largely ignored efforts to get native-born Americans back into the workforce, instead adding millions of foreign workers to the labor market which adds downward pressure, particularly for working-class Americans in terms of finding jobs and securing higher wages. JOHN BINDER

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), on Thursday, slammed Biden’s plan to open Obamacare and Medicaid rolls to illegal aliens, calling it “an insult to American citizenship.”

“Rewarding illegal immigration will bring more illegal immigration,” Cotton said.

THERE ARE NOW 50 MILLION ILLEGALS IN

AMERICA. JOE BIDEN AND HIS CUBAN SEC.

OF OPEN BORDERS MAYORKAS HAVE

ADDED 10 MILLION IN TWO YEARS.

WHAT WILL WE DO WHEN THEY FINALLY HOAX AMNESTY SO THESE 50 MILLION MAY LEGALLY BRING UP THE REST OF MEXICO?

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA'S MIDDLE CLASS OR BORDERS PERPETRATED BY THE OPEN BORDERS DEMOCRATS.

In theory, Social Security is social insurance where workers pay for benefits that they expect to collect in the future. Since its inception, the program has, for every $1 ever collected, generated $3 of promises for which it doesn’t expect to have money to pay out. In total, the program expects to leave current voters $22 trillion short of a planned retirement.

Is Social Security savable?

Milton Friedman once observed, “If the government ran the Sahara, in five years there would be a shortage of sand.”

He was right. The government has run Social Security for more than 80 years, and now there is a shortage of security. At this point, the experts believe that someone who is 79 years old today is likely to outlive the system’s ability to pay scheduled benefits.

The solution, according to the White House fact sheet on the 2024 Budget Proposal, is: do nothing, and the Republicans cheered. That leaves a rapidly growing problem to third parties.

Social Security presents a mental challenge to libertarians as a whole. Little on this earth demonstrates more clearly the dangers of big government. Yet, at the same time, the venerated program has set in motion a crisis that likely can only be addressed by a big government.

In other words, while people pay for their benefits, they have not paid enough.

Given that politics is the art of promising more than you can deliver, Social Security is the greatest program in the history of government.

The Libertarian Party’s platform does not abolish Social Security. Rather, it would phase out Social Security. In essence, the government would force future Americans to clean up the mess that they had no role in creating. So, that version of libertarianism isn’t entirely opposed to the use of force by big government.

As much as libertarians do not like it, Social Security is constitutional. According to the Supreme Court, Congress has the power to spend money to promote the general welfare.

You may not agree with the Court, and the Court would tell you to vote for someone who will remove the power to spend money on the general welfare from the Constitution.

Equally true, you think Social Security is a foolish policy. In which case, the Court would tell you to vote for someone who offers a better policy.

The Court wrote, our job is about power, not about wisdom. In other words, you can’t petition the Court for protection from the wishes of everyone else as expressed by their representatives, no matter how witless.

That ruling dates back to 1935. Given that Social Security was completely rewritten in the 1970s, very little of the program has actually passed constitutional muster in the Court. So, instead of complaining about the constitutionality of Social Security, put your pennies in the game and take the case to the Court.

For example, it would be reasonable for someone to ask how the program, as configured today, promotes the general welfare. Keep in mind that as you read this column, the program will generate roughly $1 million in promises that it is unlikely to keep. Maybe the government can explain how empty promises promotes the general welfare?

One day, economists will study this comedy, because Social Security is the perfect storm of bad economics. It blends the inefficiency of monopolies, with the incompetence of government, with the indifference of absolute pricing power. This concoction isn’t just headed for failure. It is headed for massive failure.

In response to the impending crisis, our politicians cheer, proving the basic tenet of libertarianism: big government is dangerous.

The biggest problem that I see today is those who are involved in reform are not trying to fix the system. They are simply trying to find a way to pay for it without inconveniencing their voters.

The Dr. Zhivago Treatment: Welcome migrants, bye-bye property rights

There is a famous scene in the film Dr. Zhivago where the eponymous doctor returns to his private home to find that the Bolsheviks have seized it and decided to house 30 families there.

As Zhivago, who has been off fighting on behalf of Mother Russia, attempts to wrap his head around the new status quo, a socialist housing commissar scolds him for ever having had such a luxurious home in the first place. Most Americans watch that part of the movie and think, “That could never happen here!”

After all, the Third Amendment to the Constitution of the United States specifically states that, “No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.” The Fourth Amendment forbids the unreasonable seizure of property. And the Fifth Amendment prohibits the government from depriving anyone of property without due process of law. It also states that, private property can’t be taken for public use without just compensation.

So, American homes should be safe from the Zhivago treatment, right? Don’t be so sure.

Anti-borders politicians have created a migrant crisis all over the United States.

Despite proudly proclaiming themselves to be “sanctuary cities” that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement efforts, places like New York City and Boston have proven themselves to be profoundly inept at managing the large numbers of migrants who have responded to their invitation.

What are radical, globalist mayors and lieutenant governors to do when they find themselves with egg on their faces? They expect regular Janes and Joes to clean up their mess.

In June of this year, New York City Mayor Eric Adams asked everyday New Yorkers to consider housing migrants in spare rooms in their private residences. More recently, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll jumped on the bandwagon and appealed to Bay State residents to “host” migrants in “an extra room or suite.”

The Big Apple and Beantown are two of the most expensive cities in the United States. And they have both been whining about housing crises for years. According to Zillow, a 400 square foot apartment in Manhattan goes for about $2,500 per month. And Boston rentals are cheaper, but not by much. A 400 square foot studio apartment rents for approximately $1,800 per month. So, why exactly do Adams and Driscoll think that average working people in their jurisdictions have a spare room, much less a spare suite?

The fact is, most Americans have just about enough income and enough room to house their family members. And they’re not likely to want their private space invaded by un-vetted, military aged, male migrants who have allegedly come to the U.S. fleeing violence. Especially given the way that the latest crop of migrants to New York City has consistently trashed the luxury hotel rooms that Mayor Eric Adams has so generously provided to them.

So, where are all the sanctuary city leaders going to put the aliens currently sleeping on their sidewalks? Adams has already proposed changes to zoning restrictions that would allow commercial office space to be converted into apartments. According to the mayor’s office, there are 136 million square feet of “vacant” and “underutilized” offices that could be used to house the homeless – including “unhoused migrants.” Meanwhile, Massachusetts has been putting migrants into dorms at Eastern Nazarene College and Salem State University.

So far, these measures seem to have been taken with the cooperation (and compensation) of property owners. Neither Adams nor Driscoll appear to have made any moves to seize private property and begin handing it out to recently arrived migrants.

Private property owners in the United States have the right to leave their property vacant if they wish. They may be holding out for a better rental price, amassing capital to fund renovations or waiting for a neighborhood to improve. Why the property is vacant isn’t really relevant. What the owner of private real estate wishes to do with his or her property is relevant. And apart from zoning and code enforcement concerns, the government doesn’t get a say in the decision. But, sadly, that could change.

Keep in mind that Adams and Driscoll are part of the group of state and local leaders who have regularly encouraged foreign nationals to violate the Immigration and Nationality Act by crossing the border illegally and committing a continuing trespass in the United States. They have also actively interfered with federal efforts to enforce our immigration laws. If they’re comfortable disregarding immigration laws, simply because they dislike them, what’s to stop them from disregarding private property laws that interfere with their political agenda?

So, if you own real estate in a sanctuary city, don’t be surprised if you open your door one day to find that your property is being used as a dorm for “homeless” migrants – and nobody asked you for permission. You just got the Dr. Zhivago treatment, comrade.

FIFTEEN THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT LA RAZA “THE RACE”

by Michelle Malkin

Only in America could critics of a group called "The Race" be labeled racists. Such is the triumph of left-wing identity chauvinists, whose aggressive activists and supine abettors have succeeded in redefining all opposition as "hate."

Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.

Here are 15 things you should know about "The Race":

15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.

14."The Race" demands in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding U.S. citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.

13. "The Race" vehemently opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state and federal authorities.

12. "The Race" opposes a secure fence on the southern border.

11. "The Race" joined the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in a failed lawsuit attempt to prevent the feds from entering immigration information into a key national crime database -- and to prevent local police officers from accessing the data.

10. "The Race" opposed the state of Oklahoma's tough immigration-enforcement-first laws, which cut off welfare to illegal aliens, put teeth in employer sanctions and strengthened local-federal cooperation and information sharing.

9. "The Race" joined other open-borders, anti-assimilationists and sued to prevent Proposition 227, California's bilingual education reform ballot initiative, from becoming law.

8. "The Race" bitterly protested common-sense voter ID provisions as an "absolute disgrace."

7. "The Race" has consistently opposed post-9/11 national security measures at every turn.

6. Former "Race" president Raul Yzaguirre, Hillary Clinton's Hispanic outreach adviser, said this: "U.S. English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks." He was referring to U.S. English, the nation's oldest, largest citizens' action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States. "The Race" also pioneered Orwellian open-borders Newspeak and advised the Mexican government on how to lobby for illegal alien amnesty while avoiding the terms "illegal" and "amnesty."

5. "The Race" gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA). The late GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood rightly characterized the organization as "a radical racist group … one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West."

4. "The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."

3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

2. "The Race" has perfected the art of the PC shakedown at taxpayer expense, pushing relentlessly to lower home loan standards for Hispanic borrowers, reaping millions in federal "mortgage counseling" grants, seeking special multimillion-dollar earmarks and partnering with banks that do business with illegal aliens.

1. "The Race" thrives on ethnic supremacy -- and the elite sheeple's unwillingness to call it what it is. As historian Victor Davis Hanson observes: "[The] organization's very nomenclature 'The National Council of La Raza' is hate speech to the core. Despite all the contortions of the group, Raza (as its Latin cognate suggests) reflects the meaning of 'race' in Spanish, not 'the people' -- and that's precisely why we don't hear of something like 'The National Council of the People,' which would not confer the buzz notion of ethnic, racial and tribal chauvinism."

Michelle Malkin: Open Borders =

Election Sabotage

By Michelle Malkin

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to wreck America's election integrity."

Yes, my friends, it's time to change the (in)famous phrase at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Open borders are not just a recipe for replacing native-born workers with cheap foreign labor and trading assimilation for multicultural militancy. They're about undermining the historic nation through devalued citizenship and sabotage of the precious right to vote.

Over the weekend, New York City's Democrat mayor Eric Adams threw his support to a City Council-approved measure to allow an estimated 800,000 local noncitizens to participate in local elections. The newly minted voters would include green-card holders, temporary visa holders, including H-1B workers mostly from China and India, F-1/Optional Practical Training foreign university students with employment authorization, and potentially unknown masses of illegal alien so-called Dreamers.

These new voters will be granted enormous influence over vital local matters pertaining to everything from education to taxes to crime and only need to show they've been in the city for a measly 30 days. It doesn't matter that these noncitizens will largely have no attachment at all to America as their permanent home but instead see it as a temporary rest stop, a cash cow, or, at worst, hostile territory.

Adams proclaimed in a statement that while he had "some concerns" about the bill, he now believes "allowing the legislation to be enacted is by far the best choice, and look forward to bringing millions more into the democratic process."

"Democratic process," of course, is a euphemism for "Democrat Party."

The demographic overwhelming of our elections through both illegal alien amnesty and unfettered legal immigration is straight out of the left-wing playbook. What's happening in the Big Apple is not new, nor is it a "conspiracy theory." As I've long reported since my early days in newspaper journalism in Southern California, there's been a steady erosion of voter integrity at the hands of open-borders politicians and operatives for decades.

Since 1991, six municipalities in Montgomery County, Md. have allowed noncitizens (with no distinction between legal and illegal aliens) to cast ballots in local elections: Garrett Park, Takoma Park, Somerset, Chevy Chase, Martin's Additions, and Barnesville. An additional five Maryland municipalities, two Vermont towns, two U.S. territories, and San Francisco (school board elections only, for now) have also opened their voting booths to noncitizens.

And don't forget: In 1993, the federal "Motor Voter" law "expanded the franchise" for political expediency — exacerbating the perilous trend of lowering the safeguards for voting that continues to undermine the value of U.S. citizenship today. The nationwide granting of driver's licenses to illegal aliens paved the way for untold election theft.

Former Immigration and Naturalization Service Commissioner Alan C. Nelson's warning nearly 30 years ago when Takoma Park passed its noncitizen voting referendum remains more trenchant than ever:

"In many countries of the world, an alien is always an alien. In our country, we are proud that our laws and social policies encourage aliens of all races and cultures to become citizens. In recent years, however, an increasing number of aliens have not pursued citizenship....This trend is disturbing, because it could seriously affect the assimilation process immigrants have pursued in this nation for 200 years....This important value of becoming a citizen is lost if an alien can vote without becoming a citizen. Any legal resident alien can become a U.S. citizen in five years. That is not an unreasonable time to wait to be able to participate in our democracy....The five-year wait emphasizes the value of citizenship as a requirement to vote and to becoming a full member of the community....If local voting by noncitizens is allowed, state and federal voting could be next. Either there is a policy basis for noncitizens to vote, or there is not. If we open the door, it cannot be closed halfway."

It should be as glaring as Lady Liberty's torchlight that election reform begins with a complete, total, and immediate immigration moratorium.
