House of Horrors: 11 Illegal Aliens Among Men Accused of Gang Raping Girls in Small Minnesota Town
At least 11 illegal alien men are accused of having been involved in a house of horrors in the small town of Bemidji, Minnesota, where at least three young girls were drugged, tied up, and gang raped, according to local law enforcement.
Late last month, an 11-year-old girl presented herself at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center’s Emergency Department to report that she had been sexually assaulted. The case was then turned over to the Bemidji Police Department where officers began looking for the residence where the alleged sexual assault occurred.
Police soon identified a residence at 1821 America Court NW in Bemidji as the location of the alleged sexual assault. The victim said she was staying with an adult male relative when he put her in a car with other men and she had a bag put over her head.
The men allegedly brought the victim to the residence at 1821 America Court NW, pushed her down a flight of stairs, forced her to consume alcohol, and tied her up. The victim alleges a man nicknamed “Panda,” later identified as 22-year-old Oscar Ernesto Luna of Mission, Texas, raped her while four men watched.
The victim said she was then gang raped by an unknown number of men.
Police said the victim described a house of horrors where another young girl was tied up and unconscious in a closet of the bedroom and that a 16-year-old girl was also tied up. Two other girls were also tied up, the victim said, as she was gang raped.
Luna, whom police identified through specific tattoos, was arrested on a warrant out of Hennepin County and also charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
In addition, police said many men were found at the residence when they raided it — including 11 illegal aliens who were turned over to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Police have said the investigation is ongoing.

BIDEN PARTNERS WITH MEXICO TO ORCHESTRATE ANOTHER MASSIVE MEX INVASION OF DEM VOTING ILLEGALS.
https://mexicanoccupation.blogspot.com/2020/11/the-biden-amnesty-and-mexicos-planned.html
"Mexican president candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador called for mass immigration to the United States, declaring it a "human right". We will defend all the (Mexican) invaders in the American," Obrador said, adding that immigrants "must leave their towns and find a life, job, welfare, and free medical in the United States."
"Fox’s Tucker Carlson noted Thursday that Obrador has
previously proposed granting AMNESTY TO MEXICAN DRUG
CARTELS. “America is now Mexico’s social safety net, and that’s
a very good deal for the Mexican ruling class,” Carlson added."
"Many Americans forget is that our country is located against a socialist failed state that is promising to descend even further into chaos – not California, the other one. And the Mexicans, having reached the bottom of the hole they have dug for themselves, just chose to keep digging by electing a new leftist presidente who wants to surrender to the cartels and who thinks that Mexicans have some sort of “human right” to sneak into the U.S. and demographically reconquer it." KURT SCHLICHTER
As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.
Kamala Harris Urges Illegal Migrants to Help Elect Joe Biden
Sen. Kamala Harris promised Sunday to reduce detention space for migrants as she asked an illegal immigrant activist to help Joe Biden win the election.
BLOG EDITOR: WHY DIDN’T LAWYER KAMALA HARRIS TELL THE ILLEGAL TO GO HOME??? SHE’S THE ONE WHO AS ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CA DECLARED THAT NEARLY HALF THE MURDERS IN MEXIFORNIA ARE BY MEX GANGS!
“I’m undocumented … I can’t vote …What can we do during this election to help make sure that we get you elected?” asked Astrid Silva, who was brought into the United States as a child by her illegal migrant parents.
“You can tell people who can vote what life is like for you now, and what life can be like,” Vice President nominee Harris told the Nevada-based political organizer who runs the pro-amnesty Dream Big Nevada group, adding that:
We are committed to shutting down private detention centers and ending policies that have been about separating children from their parents at the border.
Harris’s comments may be a coded message to would-be illegal migrants and their supportive legal-immigrant relatives.
For example, if implemented, Harris’s promise to start “shutting down private detention centers” could cripple border enforcement. If the enforcement agency does not have commercial prisons to hold detainees prior to their asylum hearings, the agency would be forced to release waves of job-seeking migrants into the U.S. labor market.
Similarly, Harris’s promise to end “policies … about separating children” echoes the media-magnified demand by pro-migration activists that officials release migrant mothers and children when they cross the border. That demand would let migrant families freely travel to relatives — including their illegal migrant husbands and fathers — who are working illegally in the United States.
Last week in Nevada, I caught up with my friend @Astrid_NV, to discuss the Biden-Harris plan for immigration reform and how Dreamers can make a difference in this election.

Like Biden, Harris pushed the Cold War “Nation of Immigrants” claim, even though only about 10 percent of people in the United States are legal immigrants:
We want to have a president who understands we are a nation of immigrants. This is a country that was built and that has derived its strength from immigrants coming here over the generations.
Harris also tried to blur the legal and civic differences between illegal migrants, legal immigrants, and American citizens. For example, she told Silva:
Define who you are, and you tell the world who you are. Don’t let anybody ever put you in a box because they have a limited perspective on who can do what and who can be one.
[…]
We are all in this together. And so, chin up, shoulders back, right? We speak our truth and know that there will always be people applauding and supporting that even if you can’t see them at that one moment, know that there are so many of us who are supporting your leadership and the power of your voice. It’s really important.
Harris also claimed President Donald Trump vilified immigrants: “We’ve seen under the current president the kind of vitriol, the kind of hate, the vilification of immigrants in such a horrible way.”
But a Washington Post poll showed in April that Latinos are the strongest advocates for a near-total halt to legal immigration during the coronavirus epidemic and economic crash.
Biden’s 2020 plan promises to “reassert America’s commitment to asylum-seekers and refugees,” wipe out Trump’s asylum reforms, bar any deportations for 100 days, and end migration enforcement against illegal aliens unless they commit a felony.
Joe Biden’s asylum and open-border policies will destroy the American middle class by releasing millions of foreign migrants into the United States, Stephen Miller told reporters October 28. https://t.co/BaeLSIud7y
— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) October 28, 2020
Biden also wants to let companies import more visa workers, let mayors import temporary workers, and allow an unlimited flow of foreign graduates through U.S. universities into white-collar jobs. Biden would “exempt from any cap [the] recent graduates of Ph.D. programs in STEM fields.”
Biden also wants to accelerate the inflow of chain migration migrants and dramatically accelerate the inflow of poor refugees to at least 125,000 per year.
“The influx of low wage workers from all across the world will drive down incomes, drive down wages, deplete the middle class, bankrupt Social Security, bankrupt Medicare, bankrupt Medicaid, bankrupt federal entitlements, overcrowd schools, and overcrowd every hospital in the middle of a pandemic,” White House aide Stephen Miller told reporters on October 28.
“It is an assault on reason, it is an assault on law enforcement, and it’s an assault on the very idea of having a country, having a Republic,” Miller added. “This is not about left or right or Center. This is about between having a country, or not even having a country.”
Illegal Alien Invasion from Sea to Shining Sea!
What do Massachusetts and Tennessee have in common? These two unique states each have a current population of 7 million people. Then there’s Arizona, which is slightly larger, with 7.3 million, while Ohio is just a bit smaller, with 6.8 million population.
Keep those state populations in mind every time you hear or read that, since January 2021, the Democrat Biden politburo has allowed seven-million-plus illegal aliens to enter the United States of America. This is a staggering number of people who have been allowed to illegally waltz into the United States, with more invading every day (and these are just the ones in the official count).
Americans of all political factions are angry that seven-million-plus illegal aliens have strolled into our country since Joey took office. Who knows how many more will be here before the year is over…in fact before you finish reading this column? They are eager to enjoy Marxist Democrat hospitality: free lodging, free medical, free food, free education, free iPhones, free…free…free. In some states, the welcome also includes driver’s licenses, voting privileges, and work permits.
How much are you as American citizens getting for free?
How much are our valiant veterans getting for free?
Are you getting anything free when utilities send rate increase notices? Does the supermarket give you anything for free when grocery shopping? Can you get a free gallon of gas at the service station?

Elected congressional officials and their staffs of all parties are supposed to represent the American people and our nation’s sovereignty. However, many seem more concerned about Ukraine’s borders, with only a few doing little more than paying lip service about the horrors taking place at America’s open southern border. From human trafficking to drug infestation, Republicans (from moderate to MAGA) should gather together at the Texas southern border and stand in solidarity with the heroic efforts of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is doing his best to stop the invasion at the Rio Grande that borders Mexico.
Please do not tell me that the wall should have been completed during the Trump presidency. We would then have to discuss how two leadership RINOs (Republicans in Name Only)—Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Leader Mitch McConnell—did their best with fellow RINOs (also referred to as “Vichy Republicans”) to thwart the Trump agenda, which included building and repairing the border wall.
The Marxist Democrat Biden administration appears to have little to no concern about the invasion at our southern border. Its time and our money are spent indicting President Trump on ridiculous charges and arresting Patriots who peacefully walked into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, often through doors held open by U.S. Capitol Police. It seems our government doesn’t want to know anything about the seven-million-plus illegal aliens entering our country.
However, American Patriots want to know if these illegal aliens:
- Were released from prisons and mental hospitals and instructed to go to the United States?
- Were trained in sabotage ready to destroy our electric grid? Water supply? Food supply? Rail lines? Communications systems?
- Are part of a drug cartel?
- Are participating in human trafficking?
- Are waiting for instructions to start armed protests as we’ve seen occur in other nations invaded by illegal aliens?
It would also be good to know how much the U.S. federal government spends to send (by plane, train, and bus) illegal aliens to cities (not Blue cities, obviously) throughout the United States.
To many Americans, the only thing the often-incoherent Joe Biden wants to know is where he can dump seven-million-plus illegal. The Biden administration’s goal is to spread the illegal alien invasion from sea to shining sea.
Maybe, just maybe, though, the tide is turning back to Patriotism.
Recently re-elected Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, who is black, announced he is switching to Republican. In his Wall Street Journal op-ed announcing the political party change Johnson wrote:
Our cities desperately need the genuine commitment to these principles (as opposed to the inconsistent, poll-driven commitment of many Democrats) that has long been a defining characteristic of the GOP.
In other words, American cities need Republicans—and Republicans need American cities. When my political hero Theodore Roosevelt was born, only 20% of Americans lived in urban areas. By the time he was elected president, that share had doubled to 40%. Today, it stands at 80%. As America’s cities go, so goes America.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is black, recently exclaimed at a town hall meeting:
Let me tell you something New Yorkers, never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to—I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City.
Joe Biden doesn’t seem to care. Or perhaps, as many have observed, Biden doesn’t have the mental ability to care. Die Weltwoche, a popular weekly Swiss newspaper that has been published since 1933, recently interviewed Tucker Carlson, who said in an article entitled, “They’re All Afraid”:
...Joe Biden has dementia. He's not capable of speaking a complete sentence much less running the largest organization in human history, which is the US government. The whole premise is ridiculous, and now they're telling us? He's 80 years old. He can barely speak. He can barely walk. And he's going to run, again, for president of the United States while there's a war going on? The whole thing is so demented that we're moving to the point where they're not trying to convince anybody. They're just trying to suppress and arrest people who ask questions. They've arrested dozens of people, of political opponents, not for committing crimes, but for opposing them in the past month. Dozens in the past month.
Alarmed Americans are watching in horror as seven-million-plus illegal invade the United States of America from sea to shining sea, equaling either Massachusetts or Tennessee. Should Americans conclude that the Democrat Biden administration (with its two-tiered justice system) goal is to destroy America’s Judeo-Christian constitutional republic?
Today, call, write, or phone your representative and two senators and respectfully but firmly demand that Congress “close the damn border!”

The Asylum Loophole Morass
The catastrophe rages on.
[Make sure to read Joseph Klein’s contributions in Jamie Glazov’s new book: Barack Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America.]
The American people are suffering the dire consequences of President Biden’s disastrous open border, catch and release immigration policies. The number of migrants crossing the border into the United States unlawfully has spiked to near-record levels in recent weeks. The final tally of migrant apprehensions this fiscal year, which ended on September 30th, is likely to match, if not exceed, the whopping 2.2 million apprehensions in fiscal year 2022.
Every day, thousands of migrants are seen making their way into the United States without any interference by border agents, who have been relegated to processing the new arrivals rather than enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. After being processed, many of the asylum-seeking migrants who claim “refugee” status are released and provided the means to travel to cities and towns throughout the United States. They are allowed to remain in the United States while awaiting their asylum hearings, which could be years down the road.
Hobbling border agents from performing their real law enforcement duties heightens the risk to the American people’s security from terrorists, violent criminals, and human and drug traffickers who manage to get into the country under the guise of seeking asylum. The severe drain on local resources undermines the American people’s well-being.
The Biden administration’s response is three-fold. First, senior Biden administration officials deny that there is a border crisis and try to assure the American people that President Biden is doing everything he can to keep things under control. Second, they claim that the immigration system has been broken for a long time, which could be fixed if Congress would just pass the comprehensive immigration legislation proposed by President Biden. Third, they blame the Trump administration and Republicans in general for whatever immigration problems do exist at the border.
“The President has done everything and is going to continue what —to do what he can,” White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at a press briefing on September 21st. “This is a broken immigration system. This is why the President, on his first day, put forth a comprehensive piece of legislation to try to deal with this immigration system.”
President Biden’s idea of a “comprehensive” reform of the immigration system is to provide the millions of illegal immigrants residing in the United States a path to citizenship – i.e., blanket amnesty.
New York Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an absurd comparison of the current immigration crisis with the waves of immigrants passing through Ellis Island more than a century ago. “When it comes to people coming to New York City today, are nothing, I’m telling you, nothing, compared to the daily amounts of people that we saw coming in through Ellis Island in the first half of this century,” AOC said.
Putting aside AOC’s mistaken reference to this century rather than the previous centuries when the migration waves through Ellis Island took place, AOC has misused the Ellis Island saga to minimize the catastrophe we are facing today.
Approximately 12 million immigrants who entered the United States legally through Ellis Island, the U.S.’s primary official port of entry over a 62-year period between 1892 and 1954, were processed in an orderly manner. During the peak years -1900 to 1914 – the average number of immigrants passing through Ellis Island daily to be processed was approximately 1,900. The immigrants were screened for health, character, and financial solvency before being admitted into the country.
Not so today. The chaotic situation at the southern border on President Biden’s watch caused by his reckless open border immigration policies has metastasized throughout the country, including to New York City.
More than 118,800 migrants released by the Biden administration have arrived in New York City in the last 18 months, overwhelming the ability of the city to provide them with shelter, food, and medical care, as well as education for migrant children. The tab for all this care is in the billions of dollars, projected to reach as high as $12 billion over the next three years, which will fall most heavily on New York taxpayers.
AOC’s comparison of the legal immigrants’ arrival and processing at Ellis Island to the illegal immigration crisis today is outrageous enough, but her fellow Massachusetts Democrat Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley is even more out of touch with reality.
“No doubt about it, our border is secure,” Rep. Pressley said in a recent CNN interview. CNN host Jake Tapper could not believe his ears. “If you have people crossing the border, it’s just by definition not secure,” Tapper said. “It just seems like just such a refusal to acknowledge reality to say that the border is secure when we all know millions of people are crossing the border illegally every year.”
Even CNN is finally beginning to acknowledge the obvious.
The system for declaring refugee status for the purpose of being granted an asylum hearing in the United States is completely broken. It is full of loopholes that smugglers trafficking illegal immigrants into the country have exploited in a multi-billion-dollar business since President Biden took office.
The smugglers and left-wing pro-open border advocates instruct immigrants trying to get into the United States what to say in pressing their claims for asylum as “refugees.” In most cases their claims turn out to be bogus. But that does not matter since the horse is already out of the barn. The Biden administration generally releases phony asylum claimants, rather than detain them. They can then reside freely in the country until their asylum cases are heard. That can take years to happen. Deterrence has gone by the wayside.
The Biden administration’s refusal to use former President Donald Trump’s successful Remain in Mexico policy in lieu of catch and release has lured many illegal immigrants to try their luck by playing the asylum card. The Biden administration has done nothing to effectively expedite the filtering out of questionable asylum claimants at the border and immediately remove them from the country. But the fundamental problem with asylum claims is deeper than just trying to deter and control the flood of claimants. The fundamental problem is the statutory definition of a “refugee” for the purposes of qualifying for asylum status. Its ambiguity invites gross manipulation.
The term “refugee” as defined in the Immigration and Nationality Act (“INA”) includes “any person who is outside any country of such person’s nationality or, in the case of a person having no nationality, is outside any country in which such person last habitually resided, and who is unable or unwilling to return to, and is unable or unwilling to avail himself or herself of the protection of, that country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.”
This definition tracks the definition of “refugee” set forth in the 1951 United Nations Refugee Convention, as amended in 1967. The drafters of the Refugee Convention wanted to ensure against a repeat of the refusal by countries, including the United States, to admit persons fleeing the Nazis’ slaughters and persecution during World War II. Top of mind was someone who had been persecuted by an oppressive government or its agents or had good reason to fear such persecution if that person returned to his or her home country.
Victims of domestic or gang violence or of discrimination, and people facing economic hardship, may well have good reasons to seek a better life elsewhere. However, those reasons should not be considered legitimate grounds to be eligible for refugee status and asylum in another country. But progressive pro-immigration advocates have pushed successfully for an expansive interpretation that conforms with their liberal open border policies.
It has gotten to the point, for example, where a physically abused woman from Guatemala was able to qualify for asylum in the United States as a member of “a particular social group” of “married women in Guatemala who are unable to leave their relationship.” This sad situation revolved around criminal acts that were committed by one spouse against another within the context of a private domestic relationship. But there was no link established directly to government action in the country where the violence occurred, nor to any deliberate neglect by the government of its duties to stop the violence that was alleged to be persecution. But such distinctions have been set aside by overly broad interpretations of the grounds for asylum that have given the benefit of the doubt to the asylum seekers. The floodgates have been opened to hordes of migrants who have left their countries of origin seeking a better life and have claimed asylum under false pretenses.
The United Kingdom’s Home Secretary Suella Braverman delivered a searing critique of the current asylum framework under the UN Refugee Convention in a speech that she delivered to the American Enterprise Institute late last month. Migrants are “gaming the asylum system to their advantage,” she explained, adding that unless the “definition of who qualifies for protection” as a refugee eligible for asylum is tightened, “huge incentives for illegal migration” will continue. That warning applies to the definition of “refugee” in the Immigration and Nationality Act as well.
The House of Representatives passed the Secure the Border Act of 2023 last May, which takes steps to fix this problem by imposing sensible new limits on asylum eligibility. For example, it raises the threshold of proof before an asylum officer can find that the asylum-seeker has a “credible fear” of persecution and expands the kinds of crimes that could disqualify a migrant from being granted asylum. The bill also provides a more precise definition of “persecution” and lists several exclusions from the definition, including “generalized harm or violence that arises out of civil, criminal, or military strife in a country.”
Unfortunately for the American people, the Republican House majority’s attempt to close the glaring loopholes in the current immigration law’s asylum provisions has run into a brick wall in the Democrat-controlled Senate and at the Biden White House. And the illegal immigration catastrophe rages on.

On Planet Kamala, climate change, not 7% interest rates, is why young people aren't buying homes
What's new on Planet Kamala?
Seems climate change has struck again, and Joe Biden's vice president claims that that's why young people aren't buying homes.
According to the Washington Free Beacon:
Vice President Kamala Harris said young people aren't buying homes because of "climate anxiety," not mentioning the sky-high interest rates under her boss, President Joe Biden.
"Young leaders" suffer from "climate anxiety," which is "their fear about … whether they should have children, whether they should ever think about buying a home for fear that it might be wiped out because of extreme weather occurrences," Harris said in a Wednesday interview with an Allentown, Pa., news station.
Which is laughable. All the young wokesters she's talking about have to do is look at President Obama's coastal mansion-buying spree. Guys like Obama are pretty sure the old mansion isn't going to wash into the sea based on global warming. None of them are. And in any case, cheaper housing is to be had on higher ground.
But it's not cheap or even marginally affordable either. Housing prices have hit record highs under Joe Biden. To combat rampant inflation, the Fed has hiked interest rates more than ten times since Joe Biden got into the saddle. Joe spends and the Fed hikes, and the inflation is still hitting us. That's driven housing prices to an all-time high, and the cost of buying one to even worse highs, because the cost of financing one with a mortgage is now more than 7%.
Mortgage rates last month hit an all-time high, with the interest rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate home loan skyrocketing to 7.09 percent, NPR reported.
"A lot of buyers have been priced out," National Association of Home Builders chief economist Robert Dietz told NPR. "If you don't have access to the bank of mom and dad to get that down payment, it's very challenging."
No kidding. But that's not something the Biden administration would like to highlight, not when global warming is there to serve as is sin-eater for all of its reign-of-error policy blunders.
So now the old gaslighting is continuing, and Harris is starting to sound as though she lives on another planet. This time, it's around why young people don't want to buy homes. Apparently she thinks young people can just print up money the way the Fed does when they need a home, but they don't want to, because climate change, poor things.
This has to be one of the stupidest and most dishonest claims the Bidenites have ever made and don't think the young who have faced these mortgage rates aren't going to notice. Polls show they are fleeing to President Trump in droves.

Failed: New York City is a Collective Slum
Now that New York City is, as a result of its own decision to become a sanctuary city for illegal migrants, suffering a widespread housing shortage, its slumlord-in-chief (Mayor Eric Adams) proposes to address the problem with single room occupancy (SRO) accommodations.
Adams is proposing rules that allow for new single-room occupancy (SRO) housing, a type of dorm-style apartment complex where tenants have their own private studios but typically share kitchens and bathrooms.
This article in Nextcity.org elaborates,
Today, SROs are often referred to as modern-day tenements: Substandard, overcrowded, dark firetraps that represent the worst housing the city has to offer.
There is a direct connection between these tenements and illegal migrants, emphasis is mine.
Largely concentrated in the far-flung reaches of Queens, the Bronx, and eastern Brooklyn, many of the residents of these illegal spaces are immigrants–often undocumented… Essentially, unless you’re living in a multi-million dollar penthouse, all of New York City is a slum.
What, meanwhile, is the difference between a slumlord and New York's City Council? Slumlords accept only tenants who pay the rent, while NYC squanders $300 a day on hotel rooms for illegal migrants who pay nothing. New York City is an outhouse, and I am using the family-friendly version of the word Donald Trump was accused of using to describe certain countries, that forced a 95 year-old veteran of the Korean War out of his nursing home to make room for illegal migrants while it seeks to reintroduce tenement housing for working Americans. In fairness to landlords, some try to keep their places clean and safe but others do not.
Also, in fairness to millions of people who have the misfortune to work and pay taxes in New York City, "outhouse" refers to its irresponsible governance rather than its legal inhabitants. If you wait tables, work a factory job, or practice a useful trade in New York, you may have to pay hundreds of dollars a month for a substandard, overcrowded, dark firetrap. If you're an illegal migrant who is unwilling to follow our country's rules to apply for asylum because you know you are not eligible for asylum, New York's City Council will put you up in a $300 hotel room with its own toilet and bathing facilities. In fact, if you're a citizen or legal immigrant who is working one or more jobs to make ends meet, you might do better to identify as an illegal migrant to get the free hotel room. As New York is a sanctuary city, you will not be questioned further and Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) will not be notified.
It is telling, meanwhile, that even New York's Democrat Governor, Kathy Hochul, has had enough. "The governor said [the right to shelter law] was never meant to ensure 'an unlimited, universal right or obligation on the city to have to house literally the entire world.'"
Who Wants to Live, Work, or Do Business in a Giant Slum?
Suppose you've just finished high school or college, and you want to go work somewhere. Why should you work in a giant tenement where you have to pay a third or even more of your income to live in a SRO, and also pay New York's inflated prices for food and every other necessity?
Suppose you're an employer, and New York City's diversion of money from its police department to $300 hotel rooms for illegal migrants means looters feel free to trash your workplace like swarms of locusts devastating a farmer's field. When arrests were made, NYC usually dropped the charges or downgraded them to minor misdemeanors that carry no jail time. Even if your insurance covers the losses, the insurance companies will raise premiums throughout the entire area due to the obviously higher risk. Insurance may or may not cover losses due to business interruptions such as having to clean up the broken glass and smashed display cases, and replace the merchandise the looters and vandals have ruined only to have the looters come back to clean you out again.
Target has in fact closed numerous stores in failed Democrat-run cities whose names are closely associated with Black Lives Matter-related riots. "The stores set to close include one in Harlem, N.Y; two in Seattle, Wash.; three near San Francisco and Oakland, Calif.; and three in Portland, Ore." The reasons cited include organized retail theft, but it's to be noted that the perpetrators are far less likely to try this in a small town which is where employers ought to move their facilities and their workers.
Move It to a Small Town
It is also to be noted that the median rent in San Francisco is $2,200 a month or $26,400 a year which is unaffordable by anybody who works an entry level job. San Francisco's high living costs have resulted in an $18.07 an hour minimum wage, which buys about what $10.10 an hour ($18.07 divided by 1.79) buys in flyover country where supposed bitter, small town people cling to guns and religion. Now, if you're an employer, you have to squander an additional $8 an hour plus employment taxes, and add that waste to the cost of whatever goods or services you create, but it doesn't buy your workers more actual value. If you move the jobs to flyover country or a small town, and pay your entry level people $12 an hour, that's a de facto 20 percent pay increase because it buys $12 of goods and services as opposed to the $10 or so that $18 an hour buys in San Francisco. The same principle applies, of course, to New York where $20 an hour buys what $8.77 an hour buys in a small town.
To put this in perspective, $71,924 a year buys in NYC what $30,000 a year buys in Columbia, Tennessee, the small town in Jason Aldean's video. If you're the employer, your $30,000 job costs almost $72,000 if you move it to NYC, and your employee doesn't get a better standard of living for his or her money. You're also paying more to own or rent real estate in NYC, and you also have New York State's and NYC's inflated income taxes. Intelligent customers will realize, meanwhile, that the cost of this waste is built into the price of anything they buy from New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other pay-more-get-less outhouse cities.
This should put to rest any further questions as to whether the Democrat party is still the party of the working American and the senior citizen. New York's slumlords, and I mean its Mayor and City Council, propose to house working people in "Substandard, overcrowded, dark firetraps that represent the worst housing the city has to offer" while they squander $300 a day on hotel rooms for illegal migrants, and divert money from senior citizen meal programs for this purpose as well. When working Americans wake up to this fact, and more and more are doing so every day, we can look forward to a Red tidal wave in 2024 that will put the House, Senate, and presidency in responsible hands.
