PERHAPS THE REASON WHY SO FEW CAN AFFORD HOUSING IS BECAUSE OF NAFTA JOE MASSIVE INVASION OF 10 MILLION ! MORE ! ILLEGALS!
Keep those state populations in mind every time you hear or read
that, since January 2021, the Democrat Biden politburo has
allowed seven-million-plus illegal aliens to enter the United States
of America. This is a staggering number of people who have been
allowed to illegally waltz into the United States, with more invading
every day (and these are just the ones in the official count).
On Planet Kamala, climate change, not 7% interest rates, is why young people aren't buying homes
What's new on Planet Kamala?
Seems climate change has struck again, and Joe Biden's vice president claims that that's why young people aren't buying homes.
According to the Washington Free Beacon:
Vice President Kamala Harris said young people aren't buying homes because of "climate anxiety," not mentioning the sky-high interest rates under her boss, President Joe Biden.
"Young leaders" suffer from "climate anxiety," which is "their fear about … whether they should have children, whether they should ever think about buying a home for fear that it might be wiped out because of extreme weather occurrences," Harris said in a Wednesday interview with an Allentown, Pa., news station.
Which is laughable. All the young wokesters she's talking about have to do is look at President Obama's coastal mansion-buying spree. Guys like Obama are pretty sure the old mansion isn't going to wash into the sea based on global warming. None of them are. And in any case, cheaper housing is to be had on higher ground.
But it's not cheap or even marginally affordable either. Housing prices have hit record highs under Joe Biden. To combat rampant inflation, the Fed has hiked interest rates more than ten times since Joe Biden got into the saddle. Joe spends and the Fed hikes, and the inflation is still hitting us. That's driven housing prices to an all-time high, and the cost of buying one to even worse highs, because the cost of financing one with a mortgage is now more than 7%.
Mortgage rates last month hit an all-time high, with the interest rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate home loan skyrocketing to 7.09 percent, NPR reported.
"A lot of buyers have been priced out," National Association of Home Builders chief economist Robert Dietz told NPR. "If you don't have access to the bank of mom and dad to get that down payment, it's very challenging."
No kidding. But that's not something the Biden administration would like to highlight, not when global warming is there to serve as is sin-eater for all of its reign-of-error policy blunders.
So now the old gaslighting is continuing, and Harris is starting to sound as though she lives on another planet. This time, it's around why young people don't want to buy homes. Apparently she thinks young people can just print up money the way the Fed does when they need a home, but they don't want to, because climate change, poor things.
This has to be one of the stupidest and most dishonest claims the Bidenites have ever made and don't think the young who have faced these mortgage rates aren't going to notice. Polls show they are fleeing to President Trump in droves.

Failed: New York City is a Collective Slum
Now that New York City is, as a result of its own decision to become a sanctuary city for illegal migrants, suffering a widespread housing shortage, its slumlord-in-chief (Mayor Eric Adams) proposes to address the problem with single room occupancy (SRO) accommodations.
Adams is proposing rules that allow for new single-room occupancy (SRO) housing, a type of dorm-style apartment complex where tenants have their own private studios but typically share kitchens and bathrooms.
This article in Nextcity.org elaborates,
Today, SROs are often referred to as modern-day tenements: Substandard, overcrowded, dark firetraps that represent the worst housing the city has to offer.
There is a direct connection between these tenements and illegal migrants, emphasis is mine.
Largely concentrated in the far-flung reaches of Queens, the Bronx, and eastern Brooklyn, many of the residents of these illegal spaces are immigrants–often undocumented… Essentially, unless you’re living in a multi-million dollar penthouse, all of New York City is a slum.
What, meanwhile, is the difference between a slumlord and New York's City Council? Slumlords accept only tenants who pay the rent, while NYC squanders $300 a day on hotel rooms for illegal migrants who pay nothing. New York City is an outhouse, and I am using the family-friendly version of the word Donald Trump was accused of using to describe certain countries, that forced a 95 year-old veteran of the Korean War out of his nursing home to make room for illegal migrants while it seeks to reintroduce tenement housing for working Americans. In fairness to landlords, some try to keep their places clean and safe but others do not.
Also, in fairness to millions of people who have the misfortune to work and pay taxes in New York City, "outhouse" refers to its irresponsible governance rather than its legal inhabitants. If you wait tables, work a factory job, or practice a useful trade in New York, you may have to pay hundreds of dollars a month for a substandard, overcrowded, dark firetrap. If you're an illegal migrant who is unwilling to follow our country's rules to apply for asylum because you know you are not eligible for asylum, New York's City Council will put you up in a $300 hotel room with its own toilet and bathing facilities. In fact, if you're a citizen or legal immigrant who is working one or more jobs to make ends meet, you might do better to identify as an illegal migrant to get the free hotel room. As New York is a sanctuary city, you will not be questioned further and Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) will not be notified.
It is telling, meanwhile, that even New York's Democrat Governor, Kathy Hochul, has had enough. "The governor said [the right to shelter law] was never meant to ensure 'an unlimited, universal right or obligation on the city to have to house literally the entire world.'"
Who Wants to Live, Work, or Do Business in a Giant Slum?
Suppose you've just finished high school or college, and you want to go work somewhere. Why should you work in a giant tenement where you have to pay a third or even more of your income to live in a SRO, and also pay New York's inflated prices for food and every other necessity?
Suppose you're an employer, and New York City's diversion of money from its police department to $300 hotel rooms for illegal migrants means looters feel free to trash your workplace like swarms of locusts devastating a farmer's field. When arrests were made, NYC usually dropped the charges or downgraded them to minor misdemeanors that carry no jail time. Even if your insurance covers the losses, the insurance companies will raise premiums throughout the entire area due to the obviously higher risk. Insurance may or may not cover losses due to business interruptions such as having to clean up the broken glass and smashed display cases, and replace the merchandise the looters and vandals have ruined only to have the looters come back to clean you out again.
Target has in fact closed numerous stores in failed Democrat-run cities whose names are closely associated with Black Lives Matter-related riots. "The stores set to close include one in Harlem, N.Y; two in Seattle, Wash.; three near San Francisco and Oakland, Calif.; and three in Portland, Ore." The reasons cited include organized retail theft, but it's to be noted that the perpetrators are far less likely to try this in a small town which is where employers ought to move their facilities and their workers.
Move It to a Small Town
It is also to be noted that the median rent in San Francisco is $2,200 a month or $26,400 a year which is unaffordable by anybody who works an entry level job. San Francisco's high living costs have resulted in an $18.07 an hour minimum wage, which buys about what $10.10 an hour ($18.07 divided by 1.79) buys in flyover country where supposed bitter, small town people cling to guns and religion. Now, if you're an employer, you have to squander an additional $8 an hour plus employment taxes, and add that waste to the cost of whatever goods or services you create, but it doesn't buy your workers more actual value. If you move the jobs to flyover country or a small town, and pay your entry level people $12 an hour, that's a de facto 20 percent pay increase because it buys $12 of goods and services as opposed to the $10 or so that $18 an hour buys in San Francisco. The same principle applies, of course, to New York where $20 an hour buys what $8.77 an hour buys in a small town.
To put this in perspective, $71,924 a year buys in NYC what $30,000 a year buys in Columbia, Tennessee, the small town in Jason Aldean's video. If you're the employer, your $30,000 job costs almost $72,000 if you move it to NYC, and your employee doesn't get a better standard of living for his or her money. You're also paying more to own or rent real estate in NYC, and you also have New York State's and NYC's inflated income taxes. Intelligent customers will realize, meanwhile, that the cost of this waste is built into the price of anything they buy from New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other pay-more-get-less outhouse cities.
This should put to rest any further questions as to whether the Democrat party is still the party of the working American and the senior citizen. New York's slumlords, and I mean its Mayor and City Council, propose to house working people in "Substandard, overcrowded, dark firetraps that represent the worst housing the city has to offer" while they squander $300 a day on hotel rooms for illegal migrants, and divert money from senior citizen meal programs for this purpose as well. When working Americans wake up to this fact, and more and more are doing so every day, we can look forward to a Red tidal wave in 2024 that will put the House, Senate, and presidency in responsible hands.

Illegal Alien Invasion from Sea to Shining Sea!
What do Massachusetts and Tennessee have in common? These two unique states each have a current population of 7 million people. Then there’s Arizona, which is slightly larger, with 7.3 million, while Ohio is just a bit smaller, with 6.8 million population.
Keep those state populations in mind every time you hear or read that, since January 2021, the Democrat Biden politburo has allowed seven-million-plus illegal aliens to enter the United States of America. This is a staggering number of people who have been allowed to illegally waltz into the United States, with more invading every day (and these are just the ones in the official count).
Americans of all political factions are angry that seven-million-plus illegal aliens have strolled into our country since Joey took office. Who knows how many more will be here before the year is over…in fact before you finish reading this column? They are eager to enjoy Marxist Democrat hospitality: free lodging, free medical, free food, free education, free iPhones, free…free…free. In some states, the welcome also includes driver’s licenses, voting privileges, and work permits.
How much are you as American citizens getting for free?
How much are our valiant veterans getting for free?
Are you getting anything free when utilities send rate increase notices? Does the supermarket give you anything for free when grocery shopping? Can you get a free gallon of gas at the service station?

Elected congressional officials and their staffs of all parties are supposed to represent the American people and our nation’s sovereignty. However, many seem more concerned about Ukraine’s borders, with only a few doing little more than paying lip service about the horrors taking place at America’s open southern border. From human trafficking to drug infestation, Republicans (from moderate to MAGA) should gather together at the Texas southern border and stand in solidarity with the heroic efforts of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who is doing his best to stop the invasion at the Rio Grande that borders Mexico.
Please do not tell me that the wall should have been completed during the Trump presidency. We would then have to discuss how two leadership RINOs (Republicans in Name Only)—Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Leader Mitch McConnell—did their best with fellow RINOs (also referred to as “Vichy Republicans”) to thwart the Trump agenda, which included building and repairing the border wall.
The Marxist Democrat Biden administration appears to have little to no concern about the invasion at our southern border. Its time and our money are spent indicting President Trump on ridiculous charges and arresting Patriots who peacefully walked into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, often through doors held open by U.S. Capitol Police. It seems our government doesn’t want to know anything about the seven-million-plus illegal aliens entering our country.
However, American Patriots want to know if these illegal aliens:
- Were released from prisons and mental hospitals and instructed to go to the United States?
- Were trained in sabotage ready to destroy our electric grid? Water supply? Food supply? Rail lines? Communications systems?
- Are part of a drug cartel?
- Are participating in human trafficking?
- Are waiting for instructions to start armed protests as we’ve seen occur in other nations invaded by illegal aliens?
It would also be good to know how much the U.S. federal government spends to send (by plane, train, and bus) illegal aliens to cities (not Blue cities, obviously) throughout the United States.
To many Americans, the only thing the often-incoherent Joe Biden wants to know is where he can dump seven-million-plus illegal. The Biden administration’s goal is to spread the illegal alien invasion from sea to shining sea.
Maybe, just maybe, though, the tide is turning back to Patriotism.
Recently re-elected Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, who is black, announced he is switching to Republican. In his Wall Street Journal op-ed announcing the political party change Johnson wrote:
Our cities desperately need the genuine commitment to these principles (as opposed to the inconsistent, poll-driven commitment of many Democrats) that has long been a defining characteristic of the GOP.
In other words, American cities need Republicans—and Republicans need American cities. When my political hero Theodore Roosevelt was born, only 20% of Americans lived in urban areas. By the time he was elected president, that share had doubled to 40%. Today, it stands at 80%. As America’s cities go, so goes America.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is black, recently exclaimed at a town hall meeting:
Let me tell you something New Yorkers, never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to—I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City.
Joe Biden doesn’t seem to care. Or perhaps, as many have observed, Biden doesn’t have the mental ability to care. Die Weltwoche, a popular weekly Swiss newspaper that has been published since 1933, recently interviewed Tucker Carlson, who said in an article entitled, “They’re All Afraid”:
...Joe Biden has dementia. He's not capable of speaking a complete sentence much less running the largest organization in human history, which is the US government. The whole premise is ridiculous, and now they're telling us? He's 80 years old. He can barely speak. He can barely walk. And he's going to run, again, for president of the United States while there's a war going on? The whole thing is so demented that we're moving to the point where they're not trying to convince anybody. They're just trying to suppress and arrest people who ask questions. They've arrested dozens of people, of political opponents, not for committing crimes, but for opposing them in the past month. Dozens in the past month.
Alarmed Americans are watching in horror as seven-million-plus illegal invade the United States of America from sea to shining sea, equaling either Massachusetts or Tennessee. Should Americans conclude that the Democrat Biden administration (with its two-tiered justice system) goal is to destroy America’s Judeo-Christian constitutional republic?
Today, call, write, or phone your representative and two senators and respectfully but firmly demand that Congress “close the damn border!”

Poll: Most Americans Say Homelessness Is Getting Worse
Most Americans believe homelessness is a severe problem, and they feel it has gotten worse over the past two years, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports survey.
The national survey found that 87 percent of respondents believe homelessness is a serious problem. That includes 61 percent who say the problem is very serious. Only nine percent say homelessness is not a serious problem.
According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), around 582,000 people experienced homelessness in 2022, 18 for every 10,000 Americans, up 2,000 people since 2020.
The rate of homelessness has risen about six percent nationally in the U.S. since 2017, according to the National Alliance to End Homelessness.

Matt Perdie / Breitbart NewsIn 2023, the problem grew at a faster rate.
Data reviewed and published by the Wall Street Journal in August shows that more than 577,000 Americans are homeless today, representing an 11 percent increase compared to the same time last year — an alarming pace.
The article noted that the increase “would represent by far the biggest recorded increase since the government started tracking comparable numbers in 2007.
“The next highest increase was a 2.7% jump in 2019, excluding an artificially high increase last year caused by pandemic counting interruptions,” it continued.

Matt Perdie / Breitbart NewsRasmussen found that majorities of each political category believe homelessness is a very serious problem, with 64 percent of Republicans, 62 percent of independents, and 57 percent of Democrats agreeing.
The Rasmussen poll adds that, by a slight majority, Americans feel that homelessness should be a local responsibility. About 36 percent say local governments should handle the issue, while 30 percent believe it should be a federal issue. Sixteen percent say they are unsure.
Unsurprisingly, at 40 percent, Democrats feel the federal government should handle the problem. That compares to only 22 percent of Republicans and 26 percent of independents who think the federal government should be responsible for dealing with homelessness.
Women are more likely (39 percent) than men (32 percent) to say that the states should be primarily responsible for homelessness.
Regarding local responsibility, the party affiliation breakdown shows that 41 percent of Republicans, 39 percent of independents, and 28 percent of Democrats say that state governments should be responsible for the issue.
Majorities also agree that the problem is getting worse. Among Republicans, 77 percent say it has worsened over the last two years. Forty-six percent of Democrats and 71 percent of unaffiliated Americans agree it has gotten worse.
