Illegal Alien, Wanted for Terrorism, Arrested Near One World Trade Center Had Been Freed into U.S. by Biden’s DHS
An illegal alien wanted for terrorism in Senegal was arrested in late October just blocks from New York City’s One World Trade Center after having been released into the United States by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Just this week, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas repeatedly told the Senate Homeland Security Committee that illegal aliens who are “national security threats” are promptly arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and deported.
Despite Mayorkas’ assertion, an illegal alien — from either the Islamic Republic of Mauritania or Senegal — arrived at the United States–Mexico border on Oct. 3 near Lukeville, Arizona. The illegal alien was given a Notice to Appear (NTA) before a federal immigration judge and released into the United States interior.
A week later, ICE agents in New York City were notified by Homeland Security Investigations agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Counter Terrorism Division that the illegal alien was wanted in Senegal for terrorist activities.
At that point, the illegal alien had traveled to New York City, a sanctuary jurisdiction that refuses to work with ICE agents seeking to have criminal illegal aliens deported.
About a week after ICE agents were notified of the illegal alien’s warrants in Senegal for terrorism, they arrested him outside 26 Federal Plaza in Lower Manhattan — just a few blocks from One World Trade Center.
The illegal alien remains in ICE custody and is awaiting deportation.
Since Biden took office, his DHS has released an estimated 2.5 million border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — roughly 60,000 released every month into the U.S. interior.
In the last year, alone, close to 150 illegal aliens on the federal government’s “Terrorism Watch List” have been apprehended at the southern border. At the same time, nearly 61,500 so-called “Special Interest Aliens,” those considered to pose a potential national security risk, were released into the United States interior by DHS.

NYC Officials Arrest Illegal Wanted in Senegal for Terrorist Activities After He Was Released at Southern Border
New York City officials arrested an illegal alien who is wanted by Senegalese authorities for alleged terrorist activities and who apparently crossed the U.S. southern border before being taken into custody.
In a press release on October 19, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said New York City officials announced the individual’s arrest:
On Oct. 17, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) New York City announced the arrest of an unlawfully present Mauritanian or Senegalese citizen wanted by Senegalese authorities for criminal conspiracy in relation to a terrorist organization; destruction, degradation and damages in relation to a terrorist organization; acts or preparatory acts aimed at compromising public safety or causing serious political troubles; direct provocation of an armed crowd; and holding arms without prior administrative authorization.
ERO took the 29-year-old illegal alien into custody outside Federal Plaza. Authorities are holding him without bond as he awaits removal proceedings.
The announcement said agents with the U.S. Border Patrol found the illegal alien near Lukeville, Arizona, on October 3 and gave him a notice to appear. The man was freed on his own recognizance, along with papers saying he must report to ERO officials.
“On Oct. 10, Homeland Security Investigations agents attached to the FBI’s Counter Terrorism Division notified ERO New York City that the noncitizen was wanted in Senegal for terroristic activities,” the announcement read.
The news comes after President Joe Biden’s (D) Department of Homeland Security (DHS) permitted an illegal alien on the FBI’s “Terrorist Watch List” to board a domestic flight after he was freed into the country, Breitbart News reported in July.
More recently, an illegal alien wanted for allegedly funding terrorism is named among approximately 1.4 million border crossers and illegal aliens who were released into America, the outlet reported on August 9.
“This is a foreign population the size of the population of Hawaii,” the article noted, adding, “Hundreds of thousands of others, as well as known got-aways, have entered the United States interior since Biden took office.”

A plan sought by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would see illegal aliens released into the United States and only required to “check-in” with federal officials annually, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official Claire Trickler-McNulty gave a presentation to the House Homeland Security Committee in September regarding details of the administration’s proposed “Release and Reporting Management” (RRM) program.
RRM would replace existing DHS programs to more quickly get illegal aliens into the U.S. interior after they have arrived at the southern border — turning the nation’s borders into a European-style checkpoint.
Tickler-McNulty’s presentation to the committee, reviewed exclusively by Breitbart News, suggests that RRM would ensure that millions of illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior would only have to make annual check-ins with ICE. Most of those check-ins would not be in-person but rather done electronically.
RJ Hauman, president of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE), told Breitbart News that the latest details regarding RRM show “the entire goal” is to ensure there “is no real monitoring of illegal aliens for the duration of their removal proceedings, all while doling out taxpayer-funded social services in the meantime.”
“It must be stopped,” Hauman said.
According to former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan, Tickler-McNulty is among a number of bureaucrats looking to dismantle the agency’s enforcement powers from within.
“My sources at ICE tell me that Trickler-McNulty is behind the administration’s shift from using strong compliance and tracking technologies to social service programs, and she is also attempting to close immigration detention facilities, lest we deport anyone with final orders,” Homan wrote in an exclusive op-ed for Breitbart News.
“In an unprecedented move, ICE gave her power over all enforcement contracts, and she has used the past three years to redirect the agency mission toward NGO-delivered welfare services for those coming here illegally,” Homan wrote.
Reports about RRM last month revealed that the Biden administration is now overseeing 5.7 million illegal aliens across all 50 states who are considered to be on ICE’s “non-detained docket,” meaning they are not being held in ICE detention while awaiting deportation proceedings.
Under RRM, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) would secure lucrative federal contracts to provide social and medical services to millions of illegal aliens.
