Since President Joe Biden took office in late January 2021, his Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has worked tirelessly to transform the United States-Mexico border into a European-style checkpoint where border crossers and illegal aliens are briefly detained before being released into American cities and towns.

Biden’s policies have been highly effective in achieving the administration’s ultimate goal to massively inflate the foreign-born population to the largest ever recorded, standing at nearly 50 million today.

The latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimate suggests that about 6.2 million border crossers and illegal aliens have been welcomed to the U.S. from January 20, 2021, through December 2023 — a foreign population just two million shy of New York City’s population.

In January, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) compiled a list that details each of the 64 actions taken by Biden and his DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the last three years to entice the world’s migrants to the U.S.

Johnson said in a statement:

Since his first day in office, President Biden and his administration have worked to systematically undermine America’s border security. On more than 60 occasions, he has manipulated the federal bureaucracy to open our borders to illegal immigrants, human trafficking, fentanyl, and potential terrorists.

“The result is a humanitarian and national security catastrophe,” he continued. “The President must use his executive authority to repair what he has broken. I am calling on him to do so. ”

Below are the 64 actions Biden has taken to open the nation’s borders:

  1. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden terminated the National Emergency at the Southwest border (Proclamation 9844), thereby halting emergency construction of a border wall.

  2. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden issued an Executive Order (EO) further entrenching the unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. With his action, President Biden directed the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Attorney General, “to preserve and fortify DACA”, signaling to illegal aliens that his Administration supports amnesty and that illegal aliens need not fear coming to the U.S. or worry about immigration enforcement.

  3. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden unveiled the U.S. Citizenship Act, which would provide amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in the U.S., demonstrating intent to reward illegal border crossers with a path to citizenship.

  4. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden revoked Trump-era Executive Order that was designed to ensure there was meaningful enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.

  5. Jan 20, 2021: The Administration issued an Executive action ending limitations and restrictions against immigration from certain countries associated with terrorism.

  6. Jan 20, 2021: The Biden Administration announced a 100-day moratorium on deportations and immigration enforcement, effectively providing amnesty to criminal and other removable aliens and sending the signal the Biden Administration would not enforce the law. The Administration also announced interim immigration enforcement guidelines that signaled to illegal aliens that they do not have to worry about the possibility of deportation.

  7. Feb 1, 2021: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) implemented Acting Secretary Pekoske’s policy requiring a new “process [that] shall provide for assessments of alternatives to removal including, but not limited to, staying or reopening cases, alternative forms of detention, custodial detention, whether to grant temporary deferred action, or other appropriate action.”

  8. Feb 2, 2021: President Biden issued Executive Order (EO) 14010 and began processing asylum claims at the border. In the EO, the President also signaled an end to the Migrant Protection Protocols (which is known as “Remain in Mexico” or “MPP”) while making other statements signaling an open border.

  9. Feb 6, 2021: Secretary of State Antony Blinken suspended, and began termination procedures, for the Trump Administration’s Asylum Cooperative Agreements with El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. These agreements ensured aliens seeking asylum could do so in countries closer to their home country and in countries other than the United States.

  10. Feb 2021: The Biden Administration voluntarily stopped applying Title 42 expulsions to children across the board, setting off a major wave of unaccompanied alien children, family units, and illegal aliens generally heading to the U.S. border.

  11. Feb 17, 2021: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) exempted unaccompanied alien children (UAC) from Title 42 expulsion requirements, thereby encouraging UACs to come to the U.S. and parents to pay cartels to smuggle their children to the U.S. border.

  12. Feb 25, 2021: The Biden Administration sped up releases of UACs.

  13. Mar 2, 2021: According to news reports, the Biden Administration lost track of 20,000 unaccompanied alien children and President Biden was briefed on the need to expand detention to hold an additional 20,000 children who had illegally crossed the border.

  14. Mar 5, 2021: Faced with overwhelming numbers of UACs in federal custody, the CDC ignored its normal facilities guidance regarding COVID-19 and notifies “facilities caring for migrant children that they can open back up to pre-Covid-19 levels, acknowledging ‘extraordinary circumstances.’”

  15. Mar 10, 2021: Biden Administration announced reinstatement of the Central American Minors (CAM) program, an Obama-era parole program that allowed citizens and aliens—including illegal aliens—to bypass the family-based immigration laws adopted by Congress and sponsor family members El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to come to the United States.

  16. Mar 16, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas delivered remarks effectively explaining the border is open for illegal immigration by stating DHS’s focus would be on “processing” illegal aliens—in other words catch-and-release and the creation of new “lawful pathways.”

    Asylum

  17. Mar 20, 2021: DHS began issuing illegal alien border crossers a Notice to Report (NTR) to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as opposed to the standard Notice to Appear (NTA) in U.S. immigration court. The NTR policy allows illegal aliens to simply be released into the U.S. and relies on them to self-report to ICE at a later date.

  18. Mar 30, 2021: Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) took drastic actions to expand detention space to house unaccompanied alien children in so-called “Influx Care Facilities”, often using unlicensed facilities that lacked child welfare experience. In March, April, and May of 2021, ORR expanded capacity to house another 23,849, including 10,000 at Fort Bliss. DHS was also holding children for a longer period than allowed by law (between 30 and 40 days) and, because the flow of UACs across the border outpaced Health and Human Services’ (HHS) ability to vet adults who can care for the children.

  19. Mar 31, 2021: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) issued guidance rolling back requirements for background checks on adults in the household of a UAC sponsor.

  20. Apr 30, 2021: The Biden Administration canceled further wall construction which was being led by the Department of Defense (DOD).

  21. June 15, 2021: The Biden Administration announced expansion of the Central American Minors (CAM) program to broaden the list of illegal aliens who can sponsor family members through the program, including illegal aliens who claim asylum.

  22. June 16, 2021: Attorney General Merrick Garland rescinded the Trump-era decision In Matter of L-E-A-, thereby expanding asylum eligibility to allow nuclear or immediate familial relationships to be treated as a “particular social group.”

  23. June 16, 2021: Attorney General Merrick Garland rescinded the Trump-era decision in Matter of A-B I and A-B II, thereby expanding asylum eligibility to include gender and domestic relationships as certain social groups, reverting to policy under in Matter of A-R-C-G.

  24. July 2021: The United States Border Patrol (USBP or BP) released at least 50,000 aliens without giving them a “Notice to Appear” (a court date), instead advising them to self-report to ICE on their own. Unsurprisingly, 87% of aliens fail to report.

  25. Aug 5, 2021: The USBP authorized the use of parole plus alternatives to detention (ATD) in the Del Rio Border Sector.

  26. Aug 17, 2021: DHS announced an expansion of alternatives to detention (effectively reinstating and expanding catch and release) and announced the expansion of taxpayer-funded services to illegal aliens in removal proceedings.

  27. Aug 31, 2021: The Biden administration released over 100,000 aliens into the United States between March 21, 2021 and August 31, 2021, without giving these aliens a “Notice to Appear”, instead advising them to self-report to ICE on their own. Of those, nearly 50% of them did not check-in with ICE within the 60-day deadline.

  28. Sep 24, 2021: The Administration falsely accused Border Patrol agents on horseback in Del Rio, Texas of whipping aliens at the border. President Biden condemned the agents, saying the aliens had been “strapped” and vowed “consequences.” Vice President Harris piled on the false allegations, comparing them to oppression and slavery. In fact, DHS Secretary Mayorkas knew the claim was false and even though the agents were exonerated in July 2022, the Administration proposed punishment for the agents.

  29. Sep 30, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas issued a memorandum that states “the fact an individual is a removeable [alien] should [not be the sole] basis of an enforcement action”, effectively using prosecutorial discretion to give deportable aliens a pass to stay in the United States, thereby granting a form of amnesty to many illegal aliens.

  30. Fiscal Year 2021: Throughout Fiscal Year 2021, the Biden Administration distributed more than $300 million in federal law enforcement grants to Sanctuary Cities under SCAAP, Byrne, and COPS programs (amounting to 43% of total awards going to sanctuary cities), financially rewarding cities whose policies encourage illegal immigration.

  31. Oct 8, 2021: DHS canceled another group of border wall contracts led by DHS related to the Laredo and Rio Grande Valley Border Sectors.

  32. Oct 12, 2021: DHS effectively suspended large-scale worksite enforcement, a key tool to deter the hiring and employment of illegal aliens.

  33. Oct 27, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas issued a memorandum prohibiting enforcement of immigration laws in certain areas including schools, healthcare facilities, recreational areas, social service and emergency facilities, ceremonial locations (such as funerals and civil ceremonies) as well as at demonstrations and rallies.

  34. Oct 29, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas terminated the Migrant Protection Protocols (known as “MPP” or “Remain in Mexico”).

  35. Nov 2021: The Biden Administration formally created a program that included alternatives to detention (ATD) plus parole, resulting in “catch and release” for hundreds of thousands of aliens into the U.S. interior after they were encountered at the border (338,000 aliens were released in Fiscal Year 2022 alone) under this program.

  36. Dec 17, 2021: Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) repurposed three detention centers previously used for family detention, thus encouraging greater illegal immigration of family units.

  37. Jan 2022: Between July 2021 and January 2022, the United States admitted more than 79,000 Afghan evacuees as part of Operation Allies Welcome after the Biden State Department and Department of Defense botched the nation’s withdraw from Afghanistan. The DHS OIG determined that DHS failed to fully vet the evacuees. Failure to vet refugees, signaled that the Administration might also apply lax vetting to asylum seekers, further encouraging asylum abuse.

  38. Apr 1, 2022: The Biden Administration announced intent to end Title 42. Federal District Court Judge from Louisiana temporarily blocks the action.

  39. Apr 3, 2022: ICE Principal Legal Advisor issued memorandum promoting termination of cases in immigration court and directing ICE Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) trial attorneys to comb through their cases to determine whether aliens would be considered a “priority” for removal under the Biden “enforcement priorities.”

  40. Sep 9, 2022: The Biden Administration reversed Trump-era public charge rule, allowing aliens who are likely to become a burden to taxpayers to receive immigration benefits – such as a visa, admission, or adjustment of status.

  41. Oct 31, 2022: DHS finalized a rule to “fortify DACA”, which declares DACA recipients as “lawfully present” and grants them employment documents despite ongoing litigation.

  42. Dec 13, 2022: The Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) sued the State of Arizona in order to force Arizona to remove shipping containers placed to close gaps in the border wall.

  43. Jan 2023: CBP changed CBP One app to allow border crossers to schedule online appointments, expanding the number of aliens allowed into the United States.

  44. Jan 6, 2023: The Biden Administration began abusing statutory parole authority under INA 212(d)(5) by creating a categorical parole program for nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Parole was intended by Congress to be used sparingly and only on a “case by case” basis, yet DHS continues to create and administer categorical parole programs to allow hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens to classes of aliens.

  45. Feb 25, 2023: The New York Times reported data showing the Biden Department of HHS has lost track of 85,000 alien children over the prior two years. NYT exposes details of minor children working in factories in the United States.

  46. Mar 2023: ICE continued to ignore the need for deportations, allowing criminal aliens to stay in the U.S. ICE’s non-detained docket grew to an estimated 5.3 million aliens, including 407,983 criminal aliens. Meanwhile, ICE arrests in Fiscal Year 2022 fell by 69% compared to Fiscal Year 2018 and arrests of convicted criminals fell 65% (to 36,322 in Fiscal Year 2022 from 105,140 in Fiscal Year 2018).

  47. Mar 25, 2023: Despite record numbers of illegal aliens arriving at the southern border, the Biden Administration proposed cutting detention beds by 25 percent as part of its Fiscal Year 2024 budget request.

  48. Mar 28, 2023: DHS Inspector General (IG), citing lax oversight, issued a report that identified misuse and fraud of federal emergency funds, resulting in up to $110 million in funds appropriated in the American Rescue Plan and other legislation being awarded to pay for services to illegal aliens and not Americans suffering due to COVID.

  49. Apr 13, 2023: The Biden Administration announced DACA recipients would be eligible for Obamacare benefits and Medicaid, giving taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens.

  50. Apr 27, 2023: The State Department and DHS announced plans to end Title 42, expand CBP One app, and create additional unlawful categorical parole programs for aliens from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia. The program violates the law and allows aliens to enter before they receive a green card and without a visa.

  51. Apr 30, 2023: The Biden Administration circulated guidance that waters down the vetting process for Chinese illegal aliens, requiring that interviews used to question a Chinese illegal alien consist of five basic questions. The media reported that Chinese illegal aliens “quickly adapted” to the new CBP guidelines and were “coached” to give “stories that are identical.”

  52. May 5, 2023: CBP expanded appointment capability of the CBP One App. Through Nov. 2023, nearly 360,000 appointments had been scheduled on the app (43,000 in November alone). The CBP One app continues to be vulnerable to exploitation by the cartels.

  53. May 11, 2023: The Biden Administration terminated use of Title 42 policy expulsion authority.

    Border

  54. May 31, 2023: The Biden Administration ended the DNA testing program used to verify that adults who crossed the border with a child and claimed to be related to that child, are in fact related. Ending the program promotes not only illegal immigration, but also child exploitation and trafficking.

  55. July 7, 2023: The Biden Administration expanded unlawful parole programs to include individuals from Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

  56. July 24, 2023: The Biden Department of Justice sued the State of Texas to remove newly placed floating barriers in the Rio Grande River.

  57. Aug 10, 2023: The Biden Administration Office of Management and Budget requested nearly $14 billion in emergency funding that perpetuates the Biden Administration’s open borders policies. For example, $600 million was requested for FEMA’s Shelter and Services program, which provided airfare and hotels to illegal aliens. This is on top of the $363.8 spent by the program in Fiscal Year 2023.

  58. Aug 29, 2023: ICE scrambled after releasing into the U.S. more than a dozen Uzbek nationals with ties to an ISIS smuggler.

  59. Aug 2023: DHS rebranded “Alternatives to Detention” as “Release and Reporting Management,” effectively using ICE to provide social services to aliens instead of allowing ICE to function as a law enforcement agency.

  60. Sep 8, 2023: The Biden Administration promulgated a proposed rule to reverse Trump-era policy and allow Immigration Judges to administratively close or dismiss removal proceedings without any action (something not allowed by statute), resulting in no decision denying asylum.

  61. Oct 4, 2023: The Biden Administration issued new rules on UACs that fails to prevent the release of illegal alien children to strangers, fails to facilitate age determinations, and fails to collect immigration information on sponsors. All of this will encourage trafficking of children, including by the cartels.

  62. Dec 21, 2023: Biden Administration announced the creation of a new “juvenile” docket within immigration courts which is so expansive, it gives specialized treatment to 18, 19, and 20 year-old illegal aliens who should be deported through the expedited removal process.

  63. Dec 28, 2023: Following a trip to Mexico by Secretary of State Blinken and DHS Secretary Mayorkas, the Mexican government reported that their discussions focused on “regularizing” status – i.e., amnesty – for “Hispanic migrants who have been undocumented… and DACA beneficiaries.”

  64. Jan 3, 2024: The Biden Administration sued the State of Texas for enforcing a recently enacted Texas state law that allow Texas judges and magistrates to order illegal aliens to return to the foreign nation from which they entered.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Johnson said Biden “began … on day one” dismantling the Trump administration’s border controls which included the Remain in Mexico program, cooperative endeavor agreements with Central American nations, and the highly effective Title 42 authority — all used to hugely stem the flow of illegal immigration.

“It is by design,” Johnson said of Biden’s border policies.

“On day one, he stopped construction of the border wall … he announced a ban on deportations. He doubled down on DACA [Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals]. They released legislation that would provide amnesty to millions of people,” Johnson continued. “He rolled back all the Trump policies that would restrict immigration from countries associated with terrorism. That was just the beginning.”

“Then they methodically and deliberately opened it wide, put out the welcome mat, and sent the message around the world to ‘come on in; we’ll allow you,'” he continued. “So, the catastrophe was created. There’s no other way to see it.”

Former DHS officials Mark Morgan and Tom Homan have told Breitbart News previously that Biden’s border policies are all a scheme with one goal: Amnesty for the nation’s 11 to 22 million illegal aliens.

An illegal alien suspect in the attack on two New York police officers gave a universally-understood hand gesture to the media after he was released without bail on Wednesday: he gave them “the finger.”

Showing no love for the media that have so zealously defended and celebrated illegal immigration, the suspect flipped on their cameras as he left the courthouse, The Gateway Pundit explains:

“Jhoan Boada, 22, the fifth suspect to be freed, was arrested after being identified from surveillance footage and a wanted poster.

“Boada displayed a brazen attitude as he left the Manhattan Criminal Court. After his arraignment on charges, including assaulting a police officer and obstructing governmental administration, he expressed his denial of the allegations in Spanish and flipped off the cameras.”

Video of Boada’s blatant display of contempt for both America and its illegal alien-loving media went viral on social media on Thursday, with many posts declaring the incident emblematic of “Joe Biden’s America.”

“This photo perfectly sums up Joe Biden’s America. An illegal in our country who beat up police officers flipping off the press as he leaves the courthouse after being freed with 0 (sic) bail,” @LibsOfTikTok wrote, posting uncensored video of Boada’s gesture to the cameras.

“In Joe Biden’s America, you can enter our country illegally, assault a police officer, and be released from jail without bail immediately. Enough is enough,” @HouseGOP wrote in its post of the video.

Sen. Cruz: Schumer Won the Border Bill Battle, ‘He Knew It Would Fail, He Wanted It to Fail’

Democrats are the big winners from the failure of their border security bill, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz explained Tuesday after the contentious bill was shelved because it didn’t have the support needed to overcome a filibuster.

The bipartisan bill, negotiated by Republican Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and initially supported by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) failed after top Republicans, including Cruz, were able to review and expose its nefarious details.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) bill was designed to make matters even worse, not to solve the border crisis, Sen. Cruz told Fox News Channel Host Sean Hannity Tuesday evening:

“This whole thing has been a disaster from the very beginning. It has been a disaster on policy and it’s been a disaster on politics. On policy, this bill is terrible. It is a bill that Chuck Schumer wanted that is designed not to secure the border – not just not to secure the border, it is designed to make it worse.”

Specifically, Sen. Cruz explained, the bill exacerbates the border crisis because it:

cruise 2024 image mid
  • Codifies Joe Biden’s open border policies.
  • Codifies catch-and-release of illegal aliens (the cause of this crisis).
  • Gives work permits to illegal aliens.
  • Uses taxpayer dollars to pay for the lawyers of illegal aliens
  • Provides billions of dollars to sanctuary cities and the left-wing nonprofit organizations that are facilitating illegal immigration
  • Normalizes five thousand illegal immigrants a day (1.8 million a year).

“So, the idiotic Republican proposal was: let’s be for two-thirds of the border invasion that Biden has allowed,” Sen. Cruz said.

“This was a disaster on policy grounds, because it did not solve the problem - but, politically, it was even worse,” Cruz said, noting that the bill’s failure gave Schumer exactly what he wanted:

“Who won in this battle? His name is Charles Schumer. Chuck Schumer did this.

“He knew it would fail. He wanted it to fail. But, the purpose of this bill was to let every Democrat running for the Senate and running for the House, to stand up and say, self-righteously, ‘I wanted to secure the border, I really wanted to, but those mean Republicans wouldn’t let me.’”

Indeed, Democrat President Joe Biden did just that on Tuesday, raising eyebrows by making an outlandish claim blaming Republicans for the border crisis:

“Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA [Make America Great Again] Republican friends.”

cruise 2024 image mid

Biden’s claim prompted a backlash on social media - with many (including by X.com owner Elon Musk) characterizing it as an attempt to “gaslight” the American public.

REMINDS ME OF THE DEMS' PROPAGANDA THAT THERE ARE ONLY 11.5 MILLION ILLEGALS THAT WENT ON YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR WHEN THERE ARE NOW PROBABLY IN EXCESS OF 50 MILLLION. NO ONE HAS ANY IDEAS AND THAT IS AS PLANNED.

These Democrats want the truth hidden from their colleagues who are expected to thoughtfully consider this bill. They want the truth hidden from the President, who is expected to take such things as budgetary impact and cost into consideration when signing legislation into law. They want the truth hidden from We the People, who will bear the entire burden for their actions.

The ‘Border Bill’ deliberately hides the truth from the taxpayers

The text of this new border bill starts out like so many others, with a title. And, like so many others, incorporates the terms “and for other purposes” in that title—and that is where the devil lies in the details.

HR-815 started life as a sweet little two-liner bill called the RELIEVE Act, introduced last year by Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). On March 7, 2023, it passed the House on a simple voice vote. The bill amended current legislation to make it easier for veterans to be reimbursed for emergency medical care. Then, Krysten Sinema (I-AZ) introduced S-1172, nearly identical legislation, in the Senate in July 2023. No further action has been taken on either bill. About 10% of bills that became law in recent Congresses have been little one-page bills dealing with some aspect of veterans’ benefits.

Now, here comes Patty Murray (D-WA) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to amend not S-1172 but HR-815. The first action outlined in the bill is to delete the entire text of the bill that the House passed. That alone should get it absolutely no consideration by either Senate Republicans or any House members.

I am always concerned about “and for other purposes” and think that only appropriations bills should cover more than one topic. The rest should be able to stand or fall on their own merits. So, I took a look at one of the “other purposes” incorporated by the nefarious Democrats.

As background, Congress.gov is the website that provides information on all legislative activity. One bit of information that you’ll find on the “TEXT” tab associated with a bill is a link to the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) Cost Estimate. This provides a breakdown of the anticipated cost of the bill on the budget, along with explanations about the bill and how the CBO calculated the cost estimate.

This information is required by the Pay-As-You-Go statute, abbreviated S-PAYGO. The effect is to provide transparency regarding a bill’s cost to legislators and the President. One side effect is that the rest of us get to see it, too. Here is the CBO’s information sheet on the policy.

The new amendment to sweet little HR-815 is being described as a $118 billion piece of legislation. However, we don’t know if that is the new bill’s entire budgetary impact., and if this amendment passes, no one will ever know until the costs have long been passed to the taxpayers of this country. Why? Because TITLE VIII (BUDGETARY EFFECTS), SEC. 3801. (BUDGETARY EFFECTS) of this bill states

(a) STATUTORY PAYGO SCORECARDS.—The budgetary effects of this division shall not be entered on either PAYGO scorecard maintained pursuant to section 4(d) of the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010.

It goes on to state

(b) SENATE PAYGO SCORECARDS.—The budgetary effects of this division shall not be entered on any PAYGO scorecard maintained for purposes of section 4106 of H. Con. Res. 71 (115th Congress).

(c) CLASSIFICATION OF BUDGETARY EFFECTS.— Notwithstanding Rule 3 of the Budget Scorekeeping Guidelines set forth in the joint explanatory statement of the committee of conference accompanying Conference Report 105–217 and section 250(c)(8) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985, the budgetary effects of this division shall not be estimated—

(1) for purposes of section 251 of such Act;

(2) for purposes of an allocation to the Committee on Appropriations pursuant to section 302(a) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974; and

(3) for purposes of paragraph (4)(C) of section 3 of the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010 as being included in an appropriation Act.

This must not stand. Conservatives and others who value the well-being of their constituents must vote NO on this amendment to HR-815.

The Big Apple goes debit card mad

The migrant story now has a debit card chapter.  I thought that the story was a joke when it came across the internet; it wasn’t.  It’s true, as we read in this story:

The pilot program is being rolled out at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, with 500 families involved, The New York Post reported. A family of four will get a card loaded with $1,000-a-month, equivalent to $35 a day.

Those selected will be given cards that can be only used at bodegas, supermarkets and delis. Migrants must sign an affidavit promising to only use the cards for food and baby supplies, or else have them cut off. It is unclear how the City of New York will know if they’re just being used in bodegas as intended.

The amount on each card will depend on individual circumstances. It is unclear how city officials will check if cards are being abused - and if the scheme will worsen the crisis by encouraging other migrants to head to the Big Apple in the hopes of receiving free money.

A family of four could be provided nearly $1,000 each month, which is $35 per day for food for the four.

At present, each migrant meal costs $11, so feeding a family of four for a day could cost up to $132.

Cards will get refilled every 28 days.

Every 28 days?  That’s a short month.  The people in the Mayor’s office sure are generous with our dollars.

As my friend in New York pointed out, citizens are already paying a lot of taxes, fees, tolls, etc.  It’s only a matter of time, he said with a sarcastic laugh, that they will tax you for breathing or going to the bathroom.  (Don’t give the City Council any ideas!)

Not long ago, and speaking to the financial woes of the city, the same Mayor Adams leading the debit card debacle announced billions in cuts, “prompted by $10.8 billion in migrant-related costs in this and the next fiscal year.” Yet, even with the planned budget cuts, “New York City faces budget shortfalls of $7 billion in fiscal 2025 and more than $6 billion in both 2026 and 2027.”

So who is looking out for the overtaxed New Yorkers who have to fill their own prepaid debit cards?  I guess that no one is, as far as I can tell.

Furthermore, isn’t this going to encourage more migrants to take the New York-bound bus?  I think so, and most New Yorkers understand that.

Exclusive–Steve Camarota: Every Illegal Alien Costs Americans $70K Over Their Lifetime (MORE BELOW)

Every illegal alien, over the course of their lifetime, costs American taxpayers about $70,000, Center for Immigration Studies Director of Research Steve Camarota says.

HOTEL SUITES, PRE-PAID CHARGE CARDS, 'FREE HEALTH' CARE, ACCOUNTS AT SAKS FIFTH AVE, LIMO SERVICE AND DEM VOTER REGISTRATION CARDS.

It wouldn’t be prudent for Republicans to support a Biden-Schumer immigration law. If Biden must have a new law, the House of Representatives has passed a bill which will secure the border. The Senate can approve this bill so that Biden can sign it into law. The law could be renamed The More Power to Joe Biden Act. A better solution is to let the American people decide the issue. The elections this year should be a referendum on border security. The cost of open borders to Americans is a half-trillion dollars and will only grow if Biden and Democrats remain in office. If Americans want their tax dollars spent on wasted resources and open border chaos, they should vote for Democrats. You get what you pay for.

WALL STREET AND DEMOCRATS ARE A GREAT OF ENEMIES AS THE MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS OPERATING OVER, UNDER AND IN OUR OPEN BORDERS!

America’s big corporations want cheap labor. They don’t want to raise wages or improve working conditions. They’d prefer to maintain the status quo of stagnant wages, unsafe workplaces, increasingly oppressive scheduling practices, and countless other harms. They want employees who will work as cheaply as possible, which means they want massive immigration flows—legal and illegal—to continue.

Josh Hawley Slams Biden’s Migration Bill as Economic ‘Betrayal,’ ‘Insulting’

President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border plan is a dollars-and-cents betrayal of working Americans and their families, says Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).

“This bill is, above all, a betrayal of American workers,” Hawley wrote in a February 5 article for CompactMag.com, adding that it would :

[H]and employers the ultimate anti-worker kryptonite: a shadow army of reserve labor, at the service of companies that have plenty of cash for dividends and stock buybacks, but somehow never enough to pay American workers a fair wage. After decades of flatlining pay and deteriorating protections, American labor deserves better. And a backroom deal like this isn’t merely bad policy—it is insulting.

Americans can have an open border for migration or a fair and level labor market for Americans, he wrote, adding, “but never both.”

Immigration Asylum

Hawley is one of the leading voices against the giveaway bill. He helped other senators decide late on Monday to block fast-track approval of the migration-boosting bill when it comes up for a vote on Wednesday — and he will likely speak out as advocates of the bill try to blame the Republican turnabout on the personality of Donald Trump.

Hawley wrote:

At the heart of the new border bill is a radical idea: legal provisions that, after a quick intake screening, would grant immediate work authorization to individuals requesting asylum …

If illegal immigrants could get this immediate work authorization—without fear of removal—we can expect a huge influx of migrants claiming asylum purely to get these benefits. Would they ever be heard from again? Doubtful. And second, the bill would allow employers to slash wages for American workers. Why risk employing an American citizen—who might be a member of a union and might insist on fair treatment—when you can hire illegal aliens newly authorized to work?

His pocketbook politics put him at odds with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which announced its support for the bill on February 5:

We look forward to working with Members of Congress to pass these commonsense measures that will improve America’s security by addressing our southern border and supporting Ukraine and Israel.

Hawley’s kitchen-table perspective on immigration politics is also largely ignored by the white-collar journalists in D.C. Most of the journalists have been trained to ignore real-world outcomes and to portray Capital Hill fights as morality plays featuring good insiders against bad outsiders.

Hawley’s perspective is a minority among Republican legislators. But it is a growing theme that is politically tied to former President Donald Trump’s enthusiastic and populist-themed majority in the party’s vital base.

That pocketbook politics theme is pulling over more Republican politicians as they zig-zag between pro-migration donors and pro-American voters.

For example, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), was picked by D.C. insiders as the Republican face of the 2013 “Gang of Eight” amnesty. But in 2023, he authored a book saying that “This country has prioritized the importation of cheap labor.”

Rubio continued:

Across this country today, the immigration system has been corrupted and exploited. And it began, as many of America’s problems do, with the fundamental shift toward a globalized economy.

But not every business could be exported, which meant Wall Street simply figured out how to import cheap labor, much of it [clarification, not all] coming from illegal immigrants. This was a slower, more subtle process. Sure, some politicians made a big deal about “jobs Americans wouldn’t do,” but otherwise the only outcry came from workers who found their wages stalled, benefits cut, and hours slashed until they could be replaced by someone willing to work more hours for less.

More often than not, it is about jobs Wall Street doesn’t want Americans to do because hiring Americans would require higher wages and better working conditions. To them, it is better to import cheap labor and buy off Americans with cash welfare programs provided by the government.

Hawley’s article shares the same theme as Rubio’s book, saying:

America’s big corporations want cheap labor. They don’t want to raise wages or improve working conditions. They’d prefer to maintain the status quo of stagnant wages, unsafe workplaces, increasingly oppressive scheduling practices, and countless other harms. They want employees who will work as cheaply as possible, which means they want massive immigration flows—legal and illegal—to continue.

Extraction Migration

Since at least 1990, the federal government has relied on Extraction Migration to grow the economy after allowing investors to move the high-wage manufacturing sector to lower-wage countries.

The migration policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries. The additional workers, consumers, and renters push up stock values by shrinking Americans’ wages, subsidizing low-productivity companies, boosting rents, and spiking real estate prices.

The economic policy has pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, and reduced native-born Americans’ productivity and political clout. It has reduced high-tech innovation, crippled civic solidarity, and allowed government officials to ignore the rising death rate of discarded Americans.

The immigration policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors and government agencies with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.

The colonialism-like policy has also killed many thousands of migrants, including many on the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.

Chamber of Commerce Endorses Lankford Plan to Reward Corporations with More Foreign Workers

The United States Chamber of Commerce, representing the nation’s biggest multinational corporations, has endorsed Sen. James Lankford’s (R-OK) bill that would reward companies with more foreign workers to hire for American jobs.

The bill, negotiated by Lankford as well as Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Chris Murphy (D-CT), would increase the number of foreign workers by nearly 20,000 annually who can score green cards to take mostly white-collar professional jobs.

The Chamber of Commerce, which advocates for a flooded labor market where corporations have unlimited access to hire foreign workers, endorsed the bill.

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is pleased to see desperately needed border security, asylum, and immigration reforms included in the emergency supplemental funding proposal before the U.S. Senate,” the Chamber’s Neil Bradley said in a statement:

The economic disruption and human suffering wrought by our border crisis have become so severe that Congress cannot afford to ignore these problems any longer. We look forward to working with Members of Congress to pass these commonsense measures that will improve America’s security by addressing our southern border and supporting Ukraine and Israel. [Emphasis added]

Sinema, who helped craft the bill, counts the Chamber as one of her biggest donors. This year, alone, the Chamber’s political action committee (PAC) has thrown $10,000 her way for her expected re-election bid.

From 2018 through 2020, the Chamber’s PAC gave Sinema $3,500.

NumbersUSA CEO James Massa said the bill, overall, will add about 250,000 legal immigrants to the U.S. over five years — in addition to the already five million legal immigrants who are likely to arrive in the U.S. over that same period.

“NumbersUSA stands strongly against the so-called Senate ‘Border Deal’ because it increases legal immigration and fails to do anything to make the border secure,” Massa said:

Despite recent polling that show sensible immigration and a secure border are priorities for voters of both parties, the Senate proposal codifies into law illegal immigration minimums of over 500,000 per year, increases legal immigration by over 50,000 each year, and handcuffs future administrations from reversing the Biden administration’s open border policies. [Emphasis added]

In another giveaway to corporate America, the bill gives indefinite work permits to the adult children of foreign H-1B visa workers. As Breitbart News has chronicled for years, the H-1B visa program is rife with fraud and abuse where American professionals are often laid off after having been forced to train their foreign replacements.

The bill’s provisions to increase the number of foreign workers in the U.S. labor market comes even as President Joe Biden has driven the foreign workforce to the highest level in American history.

At the same time, as experts have testified to Congress, tens of millions of Americans remain on the labor market sidelines. Just last month, economist E.J. Antoni noted that new jobs have “all gone to foreign-born workers…”

“Not only are native-born workers way below their pre-pandemic trend, but they’re even below the pre-pandemic level,” Antoni wrote on Twitter. “In just the last year, a net 193k native-born workers lost their jobs, while a net 1.2 million foreign-born workers gained jobs and the number of people missing from the labor force remains stubbornly high, artificially reducing the unemployment rate.”

Credit Card and Auto Loan Delinquencies Surge on Back of Bidenflation (APPLIES TO LEGALS ONLY)

US President Joe Biden gives a thumbs up while boarding Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, US, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022. Biden said today there are signs inflation is beginning to moderate after it slowed more than expected in July, giving him a much-needed boost ahead of …
Shawn Thew/EPA/Bloomberg

Spending by American consumers has kept the economy humming at an unexpectedly fast clip over the past year. The dark side is that credit card and auto loan delinquencies are surging.

“Both auto loans and credit cards have seen particular worsening of new delinquencies, with transition rates now above pre-pandemic levels,” the Federal Reserve Bank of New York said in a post on its Liberty Street Economics blog.

The serious delinquency rate—meaning, loans that are more than 90 days overdue—for credit cards jumped to 6.4 percent in the fourth quarter of last year, up from four percent a year earlier, data from the New York Fed showed Tuesday.

The serious delinquency rate for auto loans increased from 2.2 percent to 2.7 percent.

“Credit card and auto loan transitions into delinquency are still rising above pre-pandemic levels,” said Wilbert van der Klaauw, economic research advisor at the New York Fed. “This signals increased financial stress, especially among younger and lower-income households.”

The high inflation that has haunted the economy throughout Biden’s tenure in the White House is playing a role. Prices of motor vehicles soared, inflating auto loan balances. The average amount borrowed on a car loan jumped 11 percent in 2021 and another 10 percent in 2022, according to the New York Fed.n a car purchased with financing was nearly $24,000, up from $18,000 in the first quarter of 2020.

Prices have begun to fall but that might also increase delinquencies because it lowers the resale value of cars, making it harder for consumers to pay off loans when they face financial distress.

Overall credit card balances rose by $50 billion to $1.13 trillion in the fourth quarter. Auto loan balances climbed by $12 billion to $1.61 trillion.

While higher prices pushed up loan balances, higher interest rates have made those balances more costly for borrowers. Inflation, in other words, has been a one-two punch to U.S. consumers, hitting them first on prices of goods and second on the cost of debt that financed the purchases.

Delinquencies on credit cards are rising particularly sharply among Millenials. But on auto loans, the delinquencies are broader and have been rising sharply.

Credit card delinquencies have risen more quickly for Millennials than for other generations.

The share of auto loans to Millenials going into delinquency is also rising more sharply than for other generations, although the generation gap is less pronounced.

“All generations have delinquency transition rates that have been rising sharply over the past two years, with those for Millennials and Baby Boomers (born 1946-64) now being above their pre-pandemic levels,” the New York Fed said.
“Loans opened during 2022 and 2023 are, so far, performing worse than loans opened in earlier years, perhaps because buyers during these years faced higher car prices and may have been pressed to borrow more, and at higher interest rates,” the Liberty Street blogpost said.

NYC prepares to hand out $53 million in taxpayer money to illegal aliens

When people enter America illegally, they should promptly be removed. If they make asylum claims, they should be placed in minimalist but safely maintained refugee centers that are economically sustainable and keep the illegal aliens out of mischief. But that’s not how Democrats operate. If you want perpetual political power, you illegally ship into the country people who will vote for you and be your foot soldiers, and you treat them well. The latest example is New York City’s plan to give illegal aliens $53 million worth of debit cards for foods that will not only feed them but will also assuage their delicate cultural sensibilities.

Here’s the main story:

Mayor Eric Adams’ administration will soon start handing out pre-paid credit cards to migrant families being put up in Big Apple hotels, The Post has learned.

The $53 million pilot program, run by the New Jersey company Mobility Capital Finance, will provide asylum seekers arriving at the Roosevelt Hotel with the city cash to help them buy food, according to city records.

It’ll start with a group of 500 migrant families in short-term hotel stays and will replace the current food service offered there, according to City Hall.

The cards can only be used at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets and convenience stores — and migrants must sign an affidavit swearing they will only spend the funds on food and baby supplies or they will be kicked out of the program.

This $53 million must come from somewhere, and that somewhere is almost certainly going to be other social programs…programs that used to serve the city’s native-born black residents. Blacks across urban America are becoming aware that they’re being displaced as the Democrat party’s preferred racial minority. Coming in at barely 12% of the American population (a continually declining number), they lack the demographic heft to matter anymore for a party that’s set a course for permanent power.

Image: Illegal aliens on a New York street. YouTube screen grab.

What’s happening to the blacks was inevitable, of course. Conservative ideas are a rising tide that lifts all boats. A strong economy, strong national security, and safe communities benefit everyone, regardless of sex, race, creed, etc. However, as history has shown, Democrat ideas—which are now pure Marxism—don’t lift anybody. That’s because, as Churchill said, “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.”

When pure economic disparities failed to bring socialism to America (probably because of America’s former economic mobility), the only way to sell socialism was to divide society along “victimhood” lines, with the various victims arrayed against the existing social and political structure. The tactic worked. Today, socialists control the federal government, along with major states and cities.

However, to maintain that power, Democrats must play those artificially created victim groups against each other. Women have had to bow down to the so-called transgender crowd, and blacks are now being forced to yield to illegal aliens.

Of course, once members of the victim group feel their power, they’re hard to please. The latest example is that illegal aliens are complaining about the free food they receive. That’s not because the food is inedible (rotten, wormy, etc.). They just don’t like it, to the tune of $776,000 worth of food thrown into the trash.

And that gets me back to the story about New York’s Mayor Adams creating a plan to hand over $53 million in cash cards to illegal aliens. It’s not about feeding them. Instead, a spokesperson for Adams gives the game away. The real reason is to pander to their offended sensibilities about the food they receive. Here’s the New York Post again (emphasis mine):

“Not only will this provide families with the ability to purchase fresh food for their culturally relevant diets and the baby supplies of their choosing, but the pilot program is expected to save New York City more than $600,000 per month, or more than $7.2 million annually,” Adams spokesperson Kayla Mamelak said.

Whoever said “beggars can’t be choosers” didn’t live in a Democrat-run city that is playing host to tens of thousands of people who have no right to be here but who also know that they hold the real political power in the modern Democrat party.

 THE NEW PRIVILEGED CLASS: Illegals!

This is why you work From Jan - May paying taxes to the government ....with the rest of the calendar year is money for you and your family.

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, with his fake Social Security number, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200..... free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.

He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI.

Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) taxpayer's expense.

He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after Paying their bills and his.

The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

This annual income for an impoverished American family is $10,000 less than the more than $34,500 in federal funds which are spent on each unaccompanied minor border crosser.

study by Tom Wong of the University of California at San Diego discovered that more than 25 percent of DACA-enrolled illegal aliens in the program have anchor babies. That totals about 200,000 anchor babies who are the children of DACA-enrolled illegal aliens. This does not include the anchor babies of DACA-qualified illegal aliens. JOHN BINDER

As Breitbart News has reported, U.S. households headed by foreign-born residents use nearly twice the welfare of households headed by native-born Americans.

Simultaneously, illegal immigration next year is on track to soar to the highest level in a decade, with a potential 600,000 border crossers expected.

Exclusive–Steve Camarota: Every Illegal Alien Costs Americans $70K Over Their Lifetime

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/04/11/exclusive-steve-camarota-every-illegal-alien-costs-americans-70k-over-their-lifetime/

JOHN BINDER

Every illegal alien, over the course of their lifetime, costs American taxpayers about $70,000, Center for Immigration Studies Director of Research Steve Camarota says.

During an interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily, Camarota said his research has revealed the enormous financial burden that illegal immigration has on America’s working and middle class taxpayers in terms of public services, depressed wages, and welfare.

“In a person’s lifetime, I’ve estimated that an illegal border crosser might cost taxpayers … maybe over $70,000 a year as a net cost,” Camarota said. “And that excludes the cost of their U.S.-born children, which gets pretty big when you add that in.”

LISTEN:

“Once [an illegal alien] has a child, they can receive cash welfare on behalf of their U.S.-born children,” Camarota explained. “Once they have a child, they can live in public housing. Once they have a child, they can receive food stamps on behalf of that child. That’s how that works.”

Camarota said the education levels of illegal aliens, border crossers, and legal immigrants are largely to blame for the high level of welfare usage by the f0reign-born population in the U.S., noting that new arrivals tend to compete for jobs against America’s poor and working class communities.

In past waves of mass immigration, Camarota said, the U.S. did not have an expansive welfare system. Today’s ever-growing welfare system, coupled with mass illegal and legal immigration levels, is “extremely problematic,” according to Camarota, for American taxpayers.

The RAISE Act — reintroduced in the Senate by Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR), David Perdue (R-GA), and Josh Hawley (R-MO) — would cut legal immigration levels in half and convert the immigration system to favor well-educated foreign nationals, thus relieving American workers and taxpayers of the nearly five-decade-long wave of booming immigration. Currently, mass legal immigration redistributes the wealth of working and middle class Americans to the country’s top earners.

“Virtually none of that existed in 1900 during the last great wave of immigration, when we also took in a number of poor people. We didn’t have a well-developed welfare state,” Camarota continued:

We’re not going to stop [the welfare state] tomorrow. So in that context, bringing in less educated people who are poor is extremely problematic for public coffers, for taxpayers in a way that it wasn’t in 1900 because the roads weren’t even paved between the cities in 1900. It’s just a totally different world. And that’s the point of the RAISE Act is to sort of bring in line immigration policy with the reality say of a large government … and a welfare state. [Emphasis added]

The immigrants are not all coming to get welfare and they don’t immediately sign up, but over time, an enormous fraction sign their children up. It’s likely the case that of the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants, more than half are signed up for Medicaid — which is our most expensive program. [Emphasis added]

As Breitbart News has reported, U.S. households headed by foreign-born residents use nearly twice the welfare of households headed by native-born Americans.

Every year the U.S. admits more than 1.5 million foreign nationals, with the vast majority deriving from chain migration. In 2017, the foreign-born population reached a record high of 44.5 million. By 2023, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that the legal and illegal immigrant population of the U.S. will make up nearly 15 percent of the entire U.S. population.

Another line they cut into: Illegals get free public housing as impoverished Americans wait

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/04/another_line_they_cut_into_illegals_get_free_public_housing_as_impoverished_americans_wait.html

By Monica Showalter

Want some perspective on why so many blue sanctuary cities have so many homeless encampments hovering around?

Try the reality that illegal immigrants are routinely given free public housing by the U.S., based on the fact that they are uneducated, unskilled, and largely unemployable. Those are the criteria, and now importing poverty has never been easier. Shockingly, this comes as millions of poor Americans are out in the cold awaiting that housing that the original law was intended to help.

Thus, the tent cities, and by coincidence, the worst of these emerging shantytowns are in blue sanctuary cities loaded with illegal immigrants - Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, New York...Is there a connection? At a minimum, it's worth looking at.

The Trump administration's Department of Housing and Urban Development is finally trying to put a stop to it as 1.5 million illegals prepare to enter the U.S. this year, and one can only wonder why they didn't do it yesterday.

According to a report in the Washington Times:

The plan would scrap Clinton-era regulations that allowed illegal immigrants to sign up for assistance without having to disclose their status.

Under the new Trump rules, not only would the leaseholder using public housing have to be an eligible U.S. person, but the government would verify all applicants through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, a federal system that’s used to weed illegal immigrants out of other welfare programs.

Those already getting HUD assistance would have to go through a new verification, though it would be over a period of time and wouldn’t all come at once.

“We’ve got our own people to house and need to take care of our citizens,” an administration official told The Washington Times. “Because of past loopholes in HUD guidance, illegal aliens were able to live in free public housing desperately needed by so many of our own citizens. As illegal aliens attempt to swarm our borders, we’re sending the message that you can’t live off of American welfare on the taxpayers’ dime.”

The Times notes that the rules are confusingly contradictary, and some illegal immigrant families are getting full rides based on just one member being born in the U.S. The pregnant caravaner who calculatingly slipped across the U.S. in San Diego late last year, only to have her baby the next day, now, along with her entire family, gets that free ride on government housing. Plus lots of cheesy news coverage about how heartwarming it all is. That's a lot cheaper than any housing she's going to find back in Tegucigalpa.

Migrants would be almost fools not to take the offering.

The problem of course is that Americans who paid into these programs, and the subset who find themselves in dire circumstances, are in fact being shut out.

The fill-the-pews Catholic archbishops may love to tout the virtues of illegal immigrants and wave signs about getting 'justice" for them, but the hard fact here is that these foreign nationals are stealing from others as they take this housing benefit under legal technicalities. That's not a good thing under anyone's theological law. But hypocrisy is comfortable ground for the entire open borders lobby as they shamelessly celebrate lawbreaking at the border, leaving the impoverished of the U.S. out cold.

The Trump administration is trying to have this outrage fixed by summer. But don't imagine it won't be without the open-borders lawsuits, the media sob stories, the leftist judges, and the scolding clerics.

Los Angeles County Pays Over a Billion in Welfare to Illegal Aliens Over Two Years

BY MASOOMA HAQ

In 2015 and 2016, Los Angeles County paid nearly $1.3 billion in welfare funds to illegal aliens and their families. That figure amounts to 25 percent of the total spent on the county’s entire needy population, according to Fox News.

The state of California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country. Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.

Approximately a quarter of California’s 4 million illegal immigrants reside in Los Angeles County. The county allows illegal immigrant parents with children born in the United States to seek welfare and food stamp benefits.

The welfare benefits data acquired by Fox News comes from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services and shows welfare and food stamp costs for the county’s entire population were $3.1 billion in 2015, $2.9 billion in 2016.

The data also shows that during the first five months of 2017, more than 60,000 families received a total of $181 million.

Over 58,000 families received a total of $602 million in benefits in 2015 and more than 64,000 families received a total of $675 million in 2016.

Robert Rector, a Heritage Foundation senior fellow who studies poverty and illegal immigration, told Fox the costs represent “the tip of the iceberg.”

“They get $3 in benefits for every $1 they spend,” Rector said. It can cost the government a total of $24,000 per year per family to pay for things like education, police, fire, medical, and subsidized housing.

In February of 2019, the Los Angeles city council signed a resolution making it a sanctuary city. The resolution did not provide any new legal protections to their immigrants, but instead solidified existing policies.

In October 2017, former California governor Jerry Brown signed SB 54 into law. This bill made California, in Brown’s own words, a “sanctuary state.” The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the State of California over the law. A federal judge dismissed that suit in July. SB 54 took effect on Jan. 1, 2018.

According to Center for Immigration Studies, “The new law does many things: It forbids all localities from cooperating with ICE detainer notices, it bars any law enforcement officer from participating in the popular 287(g) program, and it prevents state and local police from inquiring about individuals’ immigration status.”

Some counties in California have protested its implementation and joined the Trump administration’s lawsuit against the state.

California’s campaign to provide public services to illegal immigrants did not end with the exit of Jerry Brown. His successor, Gavin Newsom, is just as focused as Brown in funding programs for illegal residents at the expense of California taxpayers.

California’s budget earmarks millions of dollars annually to the One California program, which provides free legal assistance to all aliens, including those facing deportation, and makes California’s public universities easier for illegal-alien students to attend.

According to the Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2017 report, for the estimated 12.5 million illegal immigrants living in the country, the resulting cost is a $116 billion burden on the national economy and taxpayers each year, after deducting the $19 billion in taxes paid by some of those illegal immigrants.

New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that more than 22 million non-citizens now live in the United States.

'Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and Destroying America

By Frank Gaffney, Jr.

Center for Securi

Now that official Washington’s political oxygen is being consumed by the latest school shooting, it’s easy to forget abiding disagreements about immigration policy. Yet, until supplanted by the current children’s crusade for gun control, it was the so-called “DACA kids” who had to be accommodated with a massive amnesty.

Just as we seem determined to ignore factors in mass murders like the pop culture’s role in inculcating a lust for violence – the more, the better, what passes for debate about illegal aliens is increasingly unmoored from any discussion of their impact on American society.

It’s time to reprise a 2003 warning by Democratic former Colorado governor Dick Lamm about a “secret plan” that is destroying our country through the combined effects of unchecked immigration, the “diversity” agenda and abandoning our national principle of “out of many, one.” This lunacy must end.

. . .

https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2018/02/20/diversity-illegal-immigration-and-destroying-america/

That’s the case with illegal immigration: It adds probable Democrat voters (both legal and illegal), plumps up the census numbers for more representatives in the House, provides gardeners and housecleaners…and their numbers help break the system, which is the Cloward-Piven strategy to pave the way for full socialism.

As Breitbart News reported, the majority of the more than 1.5 million foreign nationals entering the country every year use about 57 percent more food stamps than the average native-born American household. Overall, immigrant households consume 33 percent more cash welfare than American citizen households and 44 percent more in Medicaid dollars. This straining of public services by a booming 44 million foreign-born population translates to the average immigrant household costing American taxpayers $6,234 in federal welfare.

Illegal aliens are killing Colorado’s second-largest hospital

Unlike conservatives, who tend to be linear, simplistic thinkers, in part because conservativism is about clarity and clarity leads to an Occam’s Razor simplicity, leftists are more Machiavellian, hatching ideas that achieve multiple goals. If the fate of Denver Health Medical Care is anything to go by, the Cloward-Piven plan is working.

Here’s what you need to know to appreciate the import of what’s happening to Denver Health. First, Colorado is a sanctuary state. Second, Denver Health is the largest hospital in Denver and the second largest in Colorado. It’s also one of only five Level I Trauma Centers in the whole state. With that in mind, here’s the story.

The Denver Post is reporting (hat tip: Legal Insurrection) that Denver Health is near the breaking point and that it cannot survive more illegal aliens. According to the report, it ended 2022 with a $35 million deficit. Although the books aren’t quite closed on 2023, the deficit was even worse last year. The only reason the hospital survived was because it got $20 million from the state, Kaiser Permanente Colorado, and private donors.

Image: Denver Health in 2008 by Jeffrey Beall. CC BY-SA 3.0.

Overall, in 2023, the hospital failed to receive payment for $136 million in services provided. This amount included the gap between what the hospital charged Medicare versus what Medicare actually paid. Unfortunately for Denver Health, fewer than 15% of its patients have private insurance, which pays a greater percentage of the fee charged than Medicare does.

Because Denver Health is a public hospital, its CEO, Donna Lynne, spelled out the hospital’s dire financial state in a public appearance before the Denver City Council’s finance and government committee. The most interesting part of the statement, aside from the overall economic problems the hospital is facing, is the role of Biden’s open border:

In the last year, 8,000 migrants who came to Denver from Central America made about 20,000 visits to the health system, for needs including dental emergencies, mental health counseling and childbirth, Lynne said. The state and federal governments aren’t reimbursing the cost of those visits, which runs into the millions, she said.

“While I have tremendous compassion for what’s going on, it’s heartbreaking, it’s going to break Denver Health,” she said.

The city estimated more than 36,000 migrants have arrived since December 2022, and about half have decided to stay. Most are fleeing a humanitarian crisis in Venezuela.

As a general matter, our medical system is financially unsustainable. There are four major problems:

Insurance. Medical insurance was originally meant to cover emergency costs. Now, it covers everything. It’s simply a cost-shifting device. Therefore, it seriously perverts the marketplace.

In a free market, the buyer and seller find a mutually agreeable price for goods and services. However, private insurance breaks that bond. The buyer doesn’t care about the price, and the seller is engaged in a price negotiation with a company that doesn’t care about the service and, moreover, that has enormous heft. This three-way system also adds huge management costs, with entire departments in hospitals and full staff in doctor’s offices dedicated to trying to wring money from insurance companies.

To offset the fact that most insurance companies impose discounts on bills, medical providers keep raising their fees. Thus, in a free market, if they felt their service was worth $100, they’d charge $100, and the patient would pay. However, in an insurance-driven market, to get $100, they charge $200. These artificially inflated fees—which sometimes get paid in full—pervert the marketplace.

Government programs. These programs have the same pernicious effect as private insurance, only worse. For hospitals and doctors to get $100, they must charge $1,000. The perversion is even greater.

Pharmaceutical companies. Do I need to say anything about drug costs? The only thing I’ll add is that when countries with socialized medicine boast about how cheaply they sell important drugs to their citizens, remember that they’re able to do that because the same companies offset those losses by charging more in America. The money for research and development, advertising, and profits must come from somewhere.

The change in medical care. Medical care used to be a doctor, a black bag, and herbal medicines and procedures that, if they didn’t kill you, would leave you weaker. Later, care was simple but effective surgeries and miracle drugs. Now, medicine is a money-driven technological science. The technological investment in even the most pared-down doctor’s office is enormous. When you get to hospitals that must keep up with the latest machines for tests and procedures, the cost is almost incomprehensible. And again, someone has to pay.

If you add to all these economic burdens the cost of caring for millions of people who have no right to be in America, and who know that they’ll get treated for free, this fragile system cannot hold. It will collapse. And that’s what Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven dreamed of all along: They wanted to break the system and force socialism.

Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant

Welfare

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/12/04/study-more-than-7-in-10-california-immigrant-households-are-on-welfare/

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California.

All four states with the largest foreign-born populations, including California, have extremely high use of welfare by immigrant households. In Texas, for example, nearly 70 percent of households headed by immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare. Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of native-born households in Texas are on welfare.

In New York and Florida, a majority of households headed by immigrants and noncitizens are on welfare. Overall, about 63 percent of immigrant households use welfare while only 35 percent of native-born households use welfare.

President Trump’s administration is looking to soon implement a policy that protects American taxpayers’ dollars from funding the mass importation of welfare-dependent foreign nationals by enforcing a “public charge” rule whereby legal immigrants would be less likely to secure a permanent residency in the U.S. if they have used any forms of welfare in the past, including using Obamacare, food stamps, and public housing.

The immigration controls would be a boon for American taxpayers in the form of an annual $57.4 billion tax cut — the amount taxpayers spend every year on paying for the welfare, crime, and schooling costs of the country’s mass importation of 1.5 million new, mostly low-skilled legal immigrants.

Beginning January 1, 2024, illegal aliens residing in California will become eligible for taxpayer-funded health insurance — the first state in the nation to enact such a policy.

In June of this year, Newsom touted the budget agreement that will make California the first state in the United States to offer health insurance, subsidized by taxpayers, to the state’s estimated 4.4 million illegal aliens so long as they are low-income.

Starting in the new year, illegal aliens in California will qualify for Medi-Cal, which is California’s state-funded version of the federal government’s Medicaid program. Since 2015, only illegal alien children qualified for Medi-Cal thanks to then-Gov. Jerry Brown (D).

Likewise, Newsom expanded eligibility for Medi-Cal to illegal aliens 50 years and older as well as those aged 19 to 25. This latest expansion is set to add about 764,000 Medi-Cal recipients to the state’s health insurance rolls.

Elected Republicans in California have warned that expanding taxpayer-funded health insurance to illegal aliens “will certainly exacerbate current provider access problems” as Medi-Cal “is already strained by serving 14.6 million Californians — more than a third of the state’s population.”

Eventually, California officials project that more than 1.2 million illegal aliens will be using subsidized health insurance.

The new policy comes as California’s population dipped below 39 million residents this year, driven mostly by Californians fleeing the state. The year prior, about 300,000 Californians moved out of the state — the most of any state in the nation that year.

Close to 60 percent of households headed by illegal aliens use at least one major form of welfare, an analysis conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reveals.

The CIS analysis from Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler shows illegal aliens and legal immigrants, in general, use “significantly more” welfare than native-born American citizens.

For example, about 59 percent of households headed by illegal aliens use welfare and about 52 percent of households headed by legal immigrants use at least one form of welfare. At the same time, fewer than 4-in-10 households headed by native-born American citizens use welfare.

“… this is primarily because the American welfare system is designed in large part to help low-income families with children, which describes a large share of immigrants,” CIS researchers note.

Center for Immigration Studies

In particular, the study found that immigrant-headed households use far more food stamps, Medicaid benefits, and the Earned Income Tax Credit than native-born American households.

“Compared to households headed by the United States-born, immigrant-headed households have especially high use of food programs (36 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), Medicaid (37 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), and the Earned Income Tax Credit (16 percent vs. 12 percent for the U.S.-born),” CIS researchers state.

The use of taxpayer-funded welfare among illegal aliens as well as legal immigrants is significant as the nation’s foreign-born population hits new record highs under President Joe Biden.

CIS researchers, last month, unveiled that 49.5 million foreign-born residents now live across the U.S. — the largest ever in American history and the overwhelming majority of which is driven by legal immigration levels. For comparison, the foreign-born population was just 9.7 million in 1960.

Center for Immigration Studies

Biden has increased the foreign-born population by 4.5 million since January 2021.

Without reductions to legal immigration levels, where more than a million legal immigrants are rewarded green cards annually, the foreign-born population is expected to hit 70 million by 2060.

American voters continuously tell pollsters they want cuts to overall immigration, mostly legal immigration. The latest survey from Rasmussen Reports showed 56 percent of likely voters want legal immigration levels cut to at least 750,000 admissions a year — including a plurality who said they want to see fewer than 500,000 admissions a year.

Biden's broken borders, welfare, and America's coming collapse

By Andrea Widburg

America’s greatest economist ever was Milton Friedman. (Incidentally, the second greatest, a living treasure, is Thomas Sowell, who learned from Milton Friedman.) In an era before terrorists traveled across national borders, Friedman was a believer in the free movement of people. However, he was not a believer in giving immigrants welfare or votes, for he understood that combining these things would break the system. So, would it surprise you to know that a significant majority of people entering America under Biden’s illegal open border policy are on welfare?

Wall Street has always liked the idea of open borders because it sees people chasing jobs, thereby increasing wealth. A certain sector has also liked the idea of unlettered immigrants who can easily be exploited, but that’s another subject entirely.

Another group that likes open borders is leftists. As this UMinn professor made clear, they loath America, and a country without borders isn’t a country at all.

Image: America’s non-existent border. X screen grab.

This is great for Biden because his illegal open border caters to both demographics, Wall Street and the hard left. It’s not often that you get a political two-fer quite like that.

Milton Friedman, who believed in the free flow of capital, also liked open borders. However, he had a very firm caveat: “It’s just obvious you can't have free immigration and a welfare state.” More than that, as Robert Rector explained (and Mitt Romney inartfully tried to explain, too), there’s a problem when those receiving welfare vote:

There is a rough one-to-one fiscal balance between low-skill immigrant families and upper-middle-class families. It takes the entire net tax payments (taxes paid minus benefits received) of one college-educated family to pay for the net benefits received by one low-skill immigrant family. Even Julian Simon, the godfather of open-border advocates, acknowledged that imposing such a burden on taxpayers was unreasonable, stating, "immigrants who would be a direct economic burden upon citizens through the public coffers should have no claim to be admitted" into the nation.

There is also a political dimension to the transfer state. Elections in modern societies are, to a considerable degree, referenda on the magnitude of future income redistribution. An immigration policy which grants citizenship to vast numbers of low-skill, low-income immigrants not only creates new beneficiaries for government transfers, but new voters likely to support even greater transfers in the future.

The grant of citizenship is a transfer of political power. Access to the U.S. ballot box also provides access to the American taxpayer's bank account. This is particularly problematic with regard to low-skill immigrants. Within an active redistributionist state, as Friedman understood, unlimited immigration can threaten limited government.

So we’ve got open borders and a leftist push for non-citizen voting (along with child and felon voting), meaning we’re two-thirds of the way there.

But what about that welfare component? Well, we’re almost two-thirds of the way there, too, according to a study from the Center for Immigration Studies:

· The 2022 SIPP indicates that 54 percent of households headed by immigrants — naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal immigrants — used one or more major welfare program. This compares to 39 percent for U.S.-born households.

· The rate is 59 percent for non-citizen households (e.g. green card holders and illegal immigrants).

· Compared to households headed by the U.S.-born, immigrant-headed households have especially high use of food programs (36 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), Medicaid (37 percent vs. 25 percent for the U.S.-born), and the Earned Income Tax Credit (16 percent vs. 12 percent for the U.S.-born).

· Our best estimate is that 59 percent of households headed by illegal immigrants, also called the undocumented, use at least one major program. We have no evidence this is due to fraud. Among legal immigrants we estimate the rate is 52 percent.

At this rate, in a very short time, we’ll have achieved the broken borders dream of Wall Street and the left. Wall Street will be fine because its members are globalists and because, to the extent the government keeps growing, they’ve already entered into a partnership with the government (i.e., fascism). And, of course, leftists will have their dream of America’s collapse.

Meanwhile, ordinary Americans will soon find themselves living out that leftist dream, which will inevitably result in a failed state. If you want to know what that looks like, it won’t be a socialist paradise. It will be South Africa, Uganda, or another of the earth’s desperate, famine-ridden, violent hellholes.

The Supreme Court, in an utterly misbegotten decision, said anyone in America must get welfare. I suggest that the next sane government cut off all that welfare and let the court revisit it. And while that process is grinding on, lots of those illegal households will self-report.

The upcoming election is our last chance—more of the same or a sharp U-Turn. Nikki Haley, incidentally, is more of the same. She talks tough but caves whenever the left comes calling. Trump and DeSantis have both followed through on their promises, and Vivek Ramaswamy truly is saying all the correct things about saving America. We’ve got choices. Don’t mess this up.

Joe Biden’s Immigration Plan to Accelerate Chain Migration Inflow

NEIL MUNRO

Democrat Joe Biden’s immigration plan contains hard-to-see policy changes that would dramatically accelerate the inflow of roughly four million chain migrants.

Biden’s promise is included in his 6,600 immigration platform, titled, “The Biden Plan for Securing Our Values as a Nation of Immigrants.” The document says:

As president, Biden will support family-based immigration by preserving family unification as a foundation of our immigration system; by allowing any approved applicant to receive a temporary non-immigrant visa until the permanent visa is processed;

“This is the equivalent to issuing temporary driver’s licenses to anyone who sends in an application,” said Jessica Vaughan, policy director for the Center for Immigration Studies. “They can have the temporary license until they come back for the road test,’ she said.

If Biden’ plan is adopted, “the sky would be the limit … and besides blowing up the numerical limits on annual immigration [it] would be an enormous boost to the fake-document and fake-marriage industry,” she said, adding:

We don’t (or at least we try not to) let people come live here before they have completed the entire [immigration] application and vetting process … Under the Biden-Harris system, people would simply create fake relationships to get the [initial immigration] petition approved, and then get their temporary visa to come here and just [quit] the application, knowing there is very little interior enforcement to make them go home later, when or if the fraud is discovered.

Each year, roughly four million Americans turn 18 and begin using their skills and diligence to earn wages and salaries.

But the federal government slashes their ability to earn wages and buy homes by delivering roughly one million legal immigrants — including about 600,000 workers — to employers around the United States.

The federal government also allows companies to import and keep roughly 1.3 million foreign contract workers in myriad white collar jobs. Those jobs, including many well paying Silicon Valley jobs, are needed by U.S. graduates to advance in their careers.

Congress and the White House also allows companies to keep roughly 600,000 foreign workers in blue collar seasonal jobs. This inflow allows companies to avoid building a recruitment business to help young people find a variety of decent jobs around the United States.

Congress also does little to deport illegals — or even to deter companies from employing roughly eight million illegal migrant workers.

These federal economic policies help companies and investors by inflating the labor supply, so raising the price of housing, and spiking government spending.

Yet at least 150 million more foreigners want to migrate into the United States.

The federal government does not set any limits on the annual inflow of legal immigrants’ minor children and elderly parents.

But there are limits — and so, waiting lines — for other categories of immigrants, such as adult children, married children, and siblings.

Overall, roughly 3.6 million would-be migrants are waiting in multiple lines, according to a November 2019 report by the Department of State.

For example, more than two million additional people are waiting in the “Fourth Preference” — or F4 line — for the adult siblings of U.S. citizens, but only 65,000 are given green cards each year.

Similarly, the federal government awards 23,400 green cars for the married sons and daughters of green card and citizen immigrants. This “Third Preference,” or “F3,” waiting list includes 647,236 foreign sons and daughters — many of whom will also try to bring in their children and relatives once they are admitted into the United States.

Also, the government provides green cards to 23,400 adult children of new legal green card immigrants, who are not yet citizens. But federal data in November 2019 showed that this F2B  waiting list of 282,551 adult sons and daughters of green-card holders.

Donald Trump's labor & immigration promises for a 2nd term are vague but useful.
They are also better for ordinary Americans than Joe Biden's business-backed, open-ended inflow of wage-cutting & rent-raising blue-collar workers & college-graduates. https://t.co/OmE4tRPf4T

CALIFORNIA: THE ONCE GOLDEN STATE NOW IN MELTDOWN DUE TO GLOBALIST DEMOCRAT PARTY POLICIES FAVORING ILLEGALS.

“The state of California is home to more illegal aliens than any other state in the country. Approximately one in five illegal aliens lives in California, Pew reported.”

California’s homeless population was estimated to be about 150,000 in 2019, a number widely believed to be a drastic underestimation. The homeless population increased by 21,000 in 2019 and is expected to grow by another 30,000 this year as a result of the mass unemployment and economic devastation caused by the pandemic. The homeless, many of whom suffer from preexisting medical conditions, are among the most vulnerable to infectious disease.

With 154 billionaires and more wealth than all but the four wealthiest countries in the world, California is at once the richest and the poorest state in the country. According to the United States Census Bureau, after adjusting for cost of living, California has the highest poverty rate in the nation, with an average of 18.2 percent of its 39.5 million residents living in poverty over the last three years. While the median income in the state is slightly above the national median, costs for housing, electric power and essential goods are far higher than the national average.

Biden’s Border: Migrants Given Asylum Hearings Nearly a Decade Out as Court Backlog Tops Three Million

Border crossers claiming asylum are being given court dates to have their cases heard nearly a decade out. At the same time, the nation’s immigration court backlog has now topped three million under President Joe Biden.

As hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens — most with invalid asylum claims — flock to the United States-Mexico border in the hopes of being released into American communities, many are receiving check-in and hearing dates well into the future.

Every day, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior. Those released are given Notices to Appear (NTA) before a federal immigration judge at a later date while others are getting dates for when they must next check-in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

According to Fox News’s Bill Melugin, a female border crosser who recently arrived in Texas from Colombia was given a date to merely check-in with ICE agents — not a court date. That check-in date in New York City is in 2031.

Meanwhile, Ali Bradley from NewsNation reports that two recently arrived male border crossers were released into the U.S. with NTAs. Their NTAs ask them to appear in court before a judge to have their asylum cases heard.

Their court dates are in Charlotte, North Carolina in September 2027 while the other is set for July 2029 in Dallas, Texas.

Last month, Biden broke yet another record when the nation’s immigration court backlog topped three million cases. The backlog suggests the number of border crossers who have been released into the U.S. interior and are now waiting to have their asylum cases heard before a federal judge.

The overwhelming majority of border crossers do not have valid asylum claims.

“The immigration court backlog passed three million pending cases. Just 12 months ago, during November 2022, the backlog was 2 million,” researchers at Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University detail:

That means the case backlog has grown by a million cases in just the past 12 months.

Immigration judges are swamped. Immigration judges now average 4,500 pending cases each. If every person with a pending immigration case were gathered together, it would be larger than the population of Chicago, the third largest city in the United States. Indeed, the number of waiting immigrants in the Court’s backlog is now larger than the population found in many states.

Chart via TRAC at Syracuse University

For perspective, when former President Donald Trump took office in late January 2017, the immigration court backlog stood at fewer than 570,000 cases. When Trump left office in early 2021, the backlog had grown by about 500,000 cases to reach more than a million.

In fewer than three years, Biden has almost tripled the immigration court backlog thanks to his administration’s policy of releasing border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. interior and figuring out if their asylum claims are valid at far later dates.

Democrats, in recent weeks, have started to call Biden out for the policy.

This week, Chicago, Illinois, Alderman Raymond Lopez (D) said Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are responsible for waves of illegal aliens arriving in his city under the guise of asylum despite the majority having dubious asylum claims.

“My Mayor is blaming everyone except the person who needs to get the blame, and that is President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, who are responsible for protecting and securing our borders and for having a functional immigration system,” Lopez said:

They’re not calling out Secretary Mayorkas for letting undocumented — for letting asylum seekers come to this country under false pretense and then giving them court cases ten years from now.

Similarly, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) said Democrats need to work with Republicans in Congress to raise the asylum standard to prevent Biden from mass releasing illegal aliens into the U.S. interior.

“We need to raise the critical fear standard on the border,” Gonzalez said. “We need to have expedited hearings and expedited removals.”

JOE BIDEN'S SABOTAGE OF HOMELAND SECURITY. YOU THINK GAMER LAWYER JOE IS WORRIED ABOUT THE LAWS ON BORDERS OR ILLEGALS VOTING?!?

Illegal invaders allegedly handed ‘NO NAME GIVEN’ boarding passes and permitted to fly

By Olivia Murray

While American citizens continue to suffer under the tyranny, unconstitutionality, and criminality of the Patriot Act, foreign nationals with anonymous boarding passes roam the skies, flying to who knows where, to do who knows what; see the X post below, from conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair:

With “no name given” printed on a boarding pass, these flyers obviously didn’t have any identifying documents, let alone legitimate ones. Were they handed ballots as well? Perhaps even a stack? Are they exempt from TSA screenings too? Did we make sure they got signed up for welfare benefits and healthcare? Did we buy them an iPhone, clothes, and Christmas gifts for their children? Are they also allowed to carry a firearm? (For their safety of course.) Honestly, if any (or all) of those questions yielded an answer in the affirmative, I would not be the least bit surprised.

No name means no ID, and clearly, that’s no problem at all… just as long as you’re not an American. The last two times I’ve been to the airport, specifically Nashville, I’ve had issues with TSA and documentation. During the first incident, which occurred just two months ago, I wasn’t permitted through the TSA checkpoint to pick up my 12-year-old son, because I had just gotten my Alabama ID, and I still only had the paper copy instead of the hard plastic one—so I had to wait outside “security” (I use that word as loosely as possible) for him. The second incident happened just last week, and when TSA agents wouldn’t allow my five-year-old son through without a named escort pass, we all had to run back to the counter where I had to show my ID again, and give the agent my son’s name and birthdate… before we were eventually allowed through.

As St. Clair noted in a follow-up post:

Incredibly difficult to post these without putting the insiders at risk. Working on it. This will continue unfold over the coming weeks but I can confirm these are legitimate boarding passes. I am at a loss for words for what I am verifying. Thank you to everybody reaching out.

Now, I may be jumping to conclusions, but from what I deduce (since these are printed boarding passes), St. Clair obtained them through an airline employee(s?) who took them after the illegals got on the planes. Therefore, I can only assume that these illegals did go through TSA, with their “illegal privilege card” in tow; yet I don’t hear any TSA agents blowing the whistle. Instead, concerned citizens are getting the word out to people like St. Clair, which reconfirms my bias against the TSA, and the “little guys” who staff it.

What a strange and traitorous reality that Americans have quite literally become second-class citizens in America, with bona fide non-citizens taking first place. But whatever you do, don’t call it an invasion, let alone an insurrection—despite the appearance that this is more evidence of major political party overthrowing the established American government and American rule of law with overwhelming foreign (mercenary?) forces—or the Great Replacement, because that might land you in a six by eight cell without habeas corpus.

And let me guess, if I want to fly next year, I will still be expected to obtain my REAL ID, with zero tolerance for noncompliance.

THERE IS NO GREATER DANGER TO AMERICA, OUR DEMOCRACY, BORDERS AND MIDDLE CLASS THAN SOCIOPATH GAMER LYING LAWYER JOE BIDEN!

2020 Election Fraud and the Courts

By Mark J. Fitzgibbons

While it’s far too late for the judicial worm to turn on illegalities in the 2020 election in a way that would overturn the election of President Biden, maybe there are other consequences to be had for the people who engineered what may be the most consequential criminal collaboration or conspiracy in history.

To quote the daily X post of @lsferguson:

Who gave the order to stop counting votes” in unprecedented lockstep, sending home election monitors, and increasing the opportunities for voter fraud is a prima facie basis to believe there was a criminal conspiracy in the 2020 election. But there is much more to create reasonable or probable cause for real investigations.

At that critical time following the election and preceding the events of January 6, 2021, the Trump campaign and others, including voters and state officials, were filing lawsuits in the respective states where voting illegalities, material irregularities, unconstitutional acts involving ballot distribution, and outright voter fraud occurred.

Those emergency lawsuits were hampered by the lack of opportunity to gather evidence through formal discovery.

One of the most publicized of the lawsuits was filed by Texas attorney general Ken Paxton challenging certification of electors in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

His Motion for Expedited Consideration filed on December 7, 2020 before the U.S. Supreme Court bit off an awful lot considering the lack of opportunity for discovery. Paxton nevertheless cited incidents in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin that had the cumulative effect of stealing the election nationally, but his case never reached the argument stage because the Supreme Court said he lacked standing.

Paxton’s case was based on Texans’ being “entitled to a presidential election in which the votes from each of the states are counted only if the ballots are cast and counted in a manner that complies with the pre-existing laws of each state,” citing the 1983 Supreme Court decision in Anderson v. Celebrezze

The court in Celebrezze said, “the impact of the votes cast in each State is affected by the votes cast for the various candidates in other States.” So, naturally, well-targeted illegalities and fraud, instead of merely widespread voter fraud, can be the measure of the constitutional issue to be litigated, William Barr’s excuse for inaction notwithstanding.

Democrats didn’t need to be geniuses to know that well-targeted illegalities in key states or even certain Democrat-controlled localities diluted the impact of votes in states that followed constitutional election law.

“Who gave the order to stop counting votes” in unprecedented lockstep, sending home election monitors, and increasing the opportunities for voter fraud is a prima facie basis to believe there was a criminal conspiracy in the 2020 election. But there is much more to create reasonable or probable cause for real investigations.

The voting illegalities, material irregularities, and outright voter fraud in locations such as Philadelphia, Detroit, and other Democrat-controlled areas may not be evidence of “widespread” voter fraud in all states, but because of the constitutional process to elect the President, the impact of that focused illegality was widespread.

In the shameful case of the California Bar against constitutional scholar John Eastman, he filed his Post-Hearing Brief on December 1 this year, and it identifies the types of evidence of the “small” things that occurred in Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin which added up to the big steal. He identifies:

(1) use of unauthorized drop boxes, (2) avoidance of voter ID requirements through abuse of statutory “indefinite confinement” requirements, (3) illegal ballot curing, (4) violations of Wisconsin’s election law involving residential care facilities, (5) ultra vires extensions of the deadlines for mail-in ballots, (6) chain-of-custody issues involving absentee ballots, (7) weakening of signature verification requirements, (8) counterfeit ballots, (9) unavailable ballot images, (10) evidence of Vote Flipping, (11) double-counted ballots, (12) duplicate reported ballots in the Fulton County post-election recount, (13) ineligible voters casting votes, and (14) evidence of security vulnerabilities involving voting equipment.

What must not be forgotten nor excused is that because of unconstitutional acts of non-legislative officials during the period of COVID preceding the 2020 election, the legality and integrity of the electoral process was contaminated and compromised before the vote by mailing unsolicited mail-in ballots.

This gave mail-in voters the unprecedented opportunity for fraud, and the Heartland/Rasmussen poll tells us 20 percent took advantage.

And, with his banana republic California bar trial concluding, I expect Eastman will feel unleashed to further expose the civil, constitutional, and criminal illegalities that should have led to the conclusion that Joe Biden did not lawfully win the 2020 election.

So, how might all this lead to criminal remedies against those who acted in combination to violate laws in ways that affected the outcome of the 2020 election?

Some 49 years ago U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall writing in Anderson v. United States said that the federal criminal statute 18 U.S.C. § 241 applied in voter fraud cases. The civil rights “injury” under § 241 is the dilution of votes. Justice Marshall wrote:

It has long been settled that § 241 embraces a conspiracy to stuff the ballot box at an election for federal officers, and thereby to dilute the value of votes of qualified voters….

That petitioners may have had no purpose to change the outcome of the federal election is irrelevant. The specific intent required under § 241 is not the intent to change the outcome of a federal election, but rather the intent to have false votes cast and thereby to injure the right of all voters in a federal election to express their choice of a candidate and to have their expressions of choice given full value and effect, without being diluted or distorted by the casting of fraudulent ballots….

The deposit of forged ballots in the ballot boxes, no matter how small or great their number, dilutes the influence of honest votes in an election, and whether in greater or less degree is immaterial. The right to an honest [count] is a right possessed by each voting elector, and to the extent that the importance of his vote is nullified, wholly or in part, he has been injured in the free exercise of a right or privilege secured to him by the laws and Constitution of the United States.

Not all the illegalities in the 2020 election involved criminal fraud, nor were all of them part of a criminal conspiracy. However, the votes of over 73 million Americans were illegally and unconstitutionally diluted in a widespread manner by the voting illegalities, material irregularities, and outright voter fraud in key Democratic-run localities.

It's not merely that “we wuz robbed.” Justice demands a reckoning. Americans are entitled to know, “who gave the order to stop counting votes in the swing states on the night of November 3/4, 2020.”

Election 2024 – It’s the Voters, Stupid!

By Brian C. Joondeph

Former President Donald Trump is barreling toward the GOP presidential nomination according to recent polls and the ruling class establishment is petrified.

Trump said he would be a dictator, at least that’s how corporate media framed his words. In a recent interview with Sean Hannity, Trump was asked,

“Under no circumstances, you are promising America tonight, you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?” Hannity asked Trump in the interview taped in Davenport, Iowa on Tuesday.

“Except for day one,” Trump responded. Trump said on the “day one” he referred to, he would use his presidential powers to close the southern border with Mexico and expand oil drilling.

This is apparently the “Trump the dictator” bit, meaning that Trump on the first day of his potential presidency, would reinstate his first term policies, his duty to preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution.

YouTube screen grab

What Trump’s myriad opponents are having conniptions over is that he might treat his political opponents, the same way Obama and Biden treated their opposition, weaponizing the government against opponents in a manner that Stalin or Mao would approve.

For those worried about Trump trashing the Constitution, that ship has long sailed under the current regime.

Trump may be the last and only chance to resurrect the Constitution.

The Wall Street Journal editorial board, once a bastion of conservatism, now identifies with the ruling class, neocons, big donors, and the open borders, endless wars branch of the modern Republican Party.

In a recent op-ed they wrote,

The pundits are saying that Donald Trump emerged unscathed from Wednesday night’s debate because only Chris Christie attacked him as a would-be dictator. But that misses something important about what happened on stage. Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis warned GOP voters that Mr. Trump is likely to fail in a second term and explained why—and the best evidence is the record of his first term.

The record of his first term? Does the WSJ not appreciate his first term achievements?

Here are a few.

A massive economic boom with low unemployment, wage growth not just for the laptop class but for all workers, rich and poor, black and white. Add middle class tax relief, massive deregulation, energy independence, fair trade deals, and Middle East peace with the Abraham Accords.

He remade the federal judiciary and nominated three constitutionalist justices for the Supreme Court, partially secured the border despite Congressional opposition, rebuilt the military and kept America out of foreign wars, supported religious liberty and pushed back against socialism and wokeism.

President Biden is delivering the opposite and the Wall Street Journal apparently prefers Biden’s American malaise and disfunction. As do the donor and ruling class elites. They all prefer endless wars and open borders, to heck with working class America.

The ruling class elites include the media, big tech, big finance, academia, Hollywood, woke corporations, and everyone else who has theirs, living safely in gated communities. They send their kids to private schools, not dysfunctional public schools where few graduate knowing how to read or write. They care not a whit about middle class Americans working with a power tool rather than a laptop, driving a used Chevy truck rather than a shiny new Tesla.

What do the voters say? Do they agree with the WSJ that a second Trump term would be a dictatorship and a mess of incompetence? Or do voters prefer the last three years get tossed in the Jimmy Carter trash bin of history next November?

Rasmussen Reports just released a poll showing, “Former President Donald Trump now has a double-digit lead for 2024, as support for re-electing President Joe Biden has faded in the past month.”

Specifically, “In a two-way contest between Biden and Trump, 48% of likely U.S. Voters would choose Trump and 38% would vote for Biden. Another 10% say they’d vote for some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.”

Going further Rasmussen noted, “This is a reversal of our November survey, when Biden led by four points, with 46% to Trump’s 42%. The new survey also shows stronger support for third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.”

My how things have changed in the past few months. RFK Jr, as a liberal Democrat, is not a threat to Trump. He will likely take more votes from Biden than from Trump.

Are these numbers a fluke? What do other polls say about the upcoming presidential election?

The RealClearPolitics poll average for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination places Trump at 60 percent, with Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley in the low teens, the others in low single digits. Trump’s lead is “yuuuge” as he would say.

DeSantis and Haley have had months to get their message out. Fox News has given them ample airtime, genuflecting whenever they interview either of them. Chris Christie is treated as royalty by CNN and MSNBC. If the Haley or DeSantis messages resonated with voters, they would be polling higher than 12%. The Koch brothers and Mitt Romney may like the message, but Joe the Plumber does not.

In Trump’s wake are candidates, who for the most part represent the failed ghosts of elections past – Mitt Romney, John McCain, Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush, and the like. These were establishment choices to manage America’s decline, not make America great again. They would tap the brakes on America’s slide toward Marxism, rather than saying “hell no” and turning the sinking ship around.

Most voters don’t care about Trump’s personality, his big mouth, his Queens accent and attitude, or his mean tweets. They want a president willing to kick the deep state hornet nest and if necessary, make a big mess, to restore American peace, prosperity, safety, and greatness.

Another gauge of voter sentiment is the Rasmussen Reports daily presidential tracking poll, which as of December 15 shows Trump four years ago at 49% total approval, compared with Biden at 43% total approval, reflecting the comparable points in their respective presidencies.

Rasmussen Reports also found that among likely U.S. voters that only 30% think the country is headed in the right direction compared to 64% who believe America is headed down the wrong track. Who is the conductor today of the American train cruising down the wrong track? Joe Biden.

Even the Wall Street Journal begrudgingly acknowledges that the voters may know more than their editorial board. In their recent poll,

President Biden’s political standing is at its weakest point of his presidency, a new Wall Street Journal poll finds, with voters giving him his lowest job-performance marks and favoring Donald Trump for the first time in a head-to-head test of the likely 2024 presidential matchup.

Biden lags behind Trump by 4 percentage points, 47% to 43%, on a hypothetical ballot with only those two candidates.

CNN piles on to the Biden trainwreck. “CNN Polls: Trump leads Biden in Michigan and Georgia as broad majorities hold negative views of the current president.” In Georgia, Trump leads Biden 49% to 44%. In Michigan Trump’s lead is 50% to 40%.

It will be challenging for those states to “find” enough ballots to overcome such a lead after they halt vote counting at 10 p.m. on election night to assess Biden’s deficit and figure out a way to reverse that by the time ballot counting resumes the next day.

Wait, there may be election cheating? Am I an election denier or a conspiracy theorist? Let’s ask voters if they followed the voting rules.

Rasmussen Reports did just that and found, “More than 20% of voters who used mail-in ballots in 2020 admit they participated in at least one form of election fraud.” How many more did not admit it? So much for the 2020 election being the “most secure in history.”

For those pining for another Ronald Reagan, good luck. Trump is the closest thing we have had to Reagan in the past four decades. Not the Bushes or any of the other big talk, little action GOP Reagan wannabes since then. 50 years from now, America may wish for another Trump, but these types of leaders are rare as they buck an extremely entrenched and powerful administrative state and candidate “selection” process.

Both the Republican and Democrat parties have morphed into a single uni-party with little difference, except on the fringes of each party. Voters see through this and by supporting Trump are saying enough. Forget the RNC or DNC and find us a candidate who wants to focus on America rather than personal and political power and money.

As James Carville once said about the economy, for this election, “It’s the voters stupid.” How refreshing if the GOP for once would listen and respect its voters, rather than heaping scorn and ridicule on the base of their party.

Republicans Introduce Plan to Verify U.S. Citizenship for Mail-In Voters

Republicans on the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, led by Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), have introduced legislation that would give states the power to verify the American citizenship of applicants registering to vote via mail.

This week, Britt and fellow Republicans introduced the “Citizen Ballot Protection Act” which would give states the ability to more accurately verify that only American citizens are being approved for voter registrations.

Britt said the legislation is necessary as several blue states, counties, and cities pass ordinances opening voting rights to foreign nationals — at least for municipal elections.

“Voting in our country is a sacred right that must solely be limited to American citizens. To allow States to uphold this principle should be simple commonsense,” Britt said:

We are seeing certain cities across our nation begin to openly allow noncitizens to vote in local elections. This effectively disenfranchises hardworking American citizens, insults those American citizens who came to our country legally and took the time and effort to go through the citizenship process, and undermines faith in our entire electoral system — which is a cornerstone of our nation that we cannot allow to crumble. [Emphasis added]

It should not be controversial that states have the legal right to prevent noncitizens — including illegal migrants and official representatives of foreign adversaries — from voting in state and federal elections. I’m proud to work with Representative Palmer and my Senate colleagues to ensure that we pass this legislation and stand up for the right of Americans – and only Americans – to vote in American elections. [Emphasis added]

The legislation would amend the National Voting Rights Act to allow states to require proof of citizenship for those applicants registering to vote in state and federal elections by mail.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) as well as Sens. Deb Fischer (R-NE), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV.), Roger Wicker (R-MS.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS), and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) are co-sponsoring the bill.

Last week, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) accused New York City officials of attempting to register to vote newly arrived border crossers and illegal aliens living in city shelters.

That accusation came after New York City Democrats sought to give municipal voting rights to nearly a million foreign nationals living across the city in 2021. That effort, though, was struck down last year by the New York Supreme Court.

Expecting a $68 billion deficit in the upcoming fiscal year, California’s Department of Finance has ordered a spending freeze for the rest of the current fiscal year (FY2024).

That means all state agencies will have to curtain all non-critical expense for over six months, until the current fiscal year ends next Summer, on June 30, 2024.

A California Department of Finance “Budget Letter” issued Tuesday directs “all state entities” to “take immediate action to reduce expenditures and identify all operational savings achieved:

“The State of California anticipates significant General Fund budget deficits in fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-25. Accordingly, this BL directs all entities under the Governor’s direct executive authority to take immediate action to reduce current-year General Fund expenditures.”

We're on the brink of achieving our $100,000 Challenge Grant goal, with just $27,100 to go as we prepare for a pivotal 2024. Every contribution you make will be matched, propelling us towards our target. Your vital support can make all the difference—join us in this final stretch and see your donation's power doubled. Donate Now!

If realized, the $68 billion deficit would be the largest in state history, local station KCRA reports, noting that state Republicans have been warning about California’s spending:

“‘Despite all warnings that it was unsustainable, California’s tax-and-spend majority increased state spending by $116 billion over the last six years, nearly doubling the general fund budget in that short time,’ said Republican State Sen. Roger Niello, who is the vice chairman of the Senate's budget committee.

“He said in part, ‘Republicans cautioned that this level of spending would lead to greater deficits, and it would be more prudent to show restraint. Unfortunately, the majority party ignored those warnings.’”

State agency Secretaries and cabinet-level directors will be required to submit monthly reports detailing all spending exemptions and savings achieved.

Expenditures specifically cited as subject to the spending freeze include:

Immigration Advocates Target House GOP with 'Grass-Tops' Campaigns

Republican groups that support immigration reform will join big business interests, left-wing interest groups, and labor unions to target 100 House Republicans during the August recess.

Activist groups like the SEIU, AFSCME, and the National Council of La Raza will reportedly hold “hundreds of events in districts across the country” in August, and Republican groups will also join in the efforts to pressure House Republicans. The House is expected to vote on piecemeal immigration reform bills after the recess in an attempt to get to a conference with the Senate.

According to Politico, this “unusually coordinated” and “unprecedented” effort will include a “a major grass-tops initiative” by groups like the American Action Network, the Partnership for a New American Economy, Republicans for Immigration Reform, a super PAC formed by former Bush Administration official Carlos Gutierrez, and other interests. These campaigns will try to make it seem like there is a groundswell of support for immigration reform in the districts of lawmakers who are on the fence.

“Advocates of reform understand that for our conservative base, the month of August is very important to provide accurate information about the need for comprehensive reform,” Charlie Spies, of the Republicans for Immigration Reform super PAC, told the publication.

He also said comprehensive immigration reform supporters were caught off-guard by the backlash last decade from working-class Americans who did not want a flood of cheap labor reducing their wages, and they vowed not to be caught off-guard during the next round.

In addition, American Action Network reportedly plans to “spend about $250,000 in August” to “push House Republicans to consider supporting immigration reform. The campaign will be in more than 20 districts and more than 10 states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, California and Texas.”

Politico notes that “senior strategists from numerous groups are engaging in daily conference calls to ensure that they are targeting districts in a comprehensive way.”

Harris, a guest on CNN's "State of the Union," said "I support Medicare for all. It is my preferred policy." She said she supports the bill introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders.

"This is how they will destroy America from within.  The leftist billionaires who orchestrate these plans are wealthy. Those tasked with representing us in Congress will never be exposed to the cost of the invasion of millions of migrants.  They have nothing but contempt for those of us who must endure the consequences of our communities being intruded upon by gang members, drug dealers and human traffickers.  These people have no intention of becoming Americans; like the Democrats who welcome them, they have contempt for us." PATRICIA McCARTHY

Expanded Health Benefits for Illegal Alien Kids in California

On Monday, California began covering health care for poor illegal aliens under the age of 19.

State enrollment estimates in the first year are expected to hit 185,000 of the 250,000 eligible minors, say state officials cited by the Associated Press. Legislative analysis of SB 4, the follow-up bill to shore up implementation of an earlier illegal alien public health care expansion bill, SB 75, details a budget allocation of $40 million toward the expansion. “Ongoing annual costs are estimated at $132 million General Fund.”

Among supporters of SB 4 were California’s most powerful unions and immigrant activist organizations. including the National Council of La Raza, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, the California Teachers Association and SEIU California.

Enrollment coordinator Claudia Carolina is working with schools in Los Angeles to publicize the program. The AP noted that outside the state Capitol, “health care and immigrant rights advocates celebrating the expansion turned their attention to their next goals. They want Medi-Cal – the state’s version of Medicaid – to cover income-eligible adults who migrated illegally …”.

An online KCRA 3 News poll via Facebook asked, “Should minors brought illegally to the U.S. be allowed to sign up for state-funded health care?” Respondents overwhelmingly said no: 62 percent rejected the idea, compared to 38 percent who said yes.

A bill analysis of SB 75 explains that it does the following:

Expands full-scope Medi-Cal coverage to children, regardless of immigration status, who currently would be eligible for Medi-Cal if not for immigration status, beginning when the department declares that systems are ready for implementation, but no sooner than May 1, 2016. Requires children eligible in this category to enroll in Medi-Cal managed care. Requires DHCS to seek federal financial participation (FFP), but requires coverage to be provided regardless of FFP. Requires DHCS to provide a semiannual status report to the Legislature until regulations have been adopted.

During a Los Angeles stop of the Chicago-based Rep. Luis Gutierrez’s (D-IL) National Immigration Action Tour of the United States, one audience member asked what would happen to her children if, presumably as illegal aliens, could not get on Obamacare. AB 60 specialist Carlos Leon explained that “there is insurance available for undocumented individuals and it does not have to be Obamacare.” AB 60 is the California law that allows illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses and disallows communication of immigration status from those licenses between Department of Motor Vehicles officials and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

Around 75 percent of unattended alien children (UAC) that entered the United States in fiscal year 2015 were ages 14 through 17, according to a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement fact sheet. More than two-thirds of the total UACs were male in FY2015. 91 percent came from Guatemala, El Salvador or Honduras in that time frame.

Biden rolls over like a lapdog for Mexico's el presidente

By Monica Showalter

With elections on and Joe Biden hovering at around a 40% public approval rating, everyone can see that Joe Biden's starting to get desperate over his polls.

Vying for issue number one among voters is an out-of-control open border with illegal immigration now hitting record highs as hundreds of thousands pour in. Cities are going bankrupt with the onslaught. Border Patrol agents are shutting down legitimate trade to "process" migrants. Hospitals are flooded with diseased and injured migrants, and schools are overwhelmed with indigent pupils speaking more than a hundred languages.

Instead of change his policies to match what's written in law, Biden has sent his men down to Mexico to try to talk Mexico's anti-U.S. president, Andres Manuel Lopez-Obrador, into taking care of his migrant problem for him. AMLO, of course, is actually helping the migrants get in, which is a situation requiring assertiveness but there was none of that from Joe, just the image of a pleading lapdog.

According to the New York Post:

The White House sent Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, hoping to obtain his assistance in slowing the wave of migrants crossing through his country on their way to ours.

The resulting “Joint Communique” from that parley reveals Mexico City has no interest in assisting an administration that won’t secure US borders.

The trip itself, scheduled during a holiday week when little gets done in either capital, reeked of desperation, and nothing in that communiqué dispels the stench.

Here's the main section of the declaration that came of it:

The two countries reaffirmed their existing commitments on fostering an orderly, humane, and regular migration. This includes reinforcing our partnership to address the root causes of migration, such as poverty, inequality, and violence, and for the two countries’ initiative for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans. Ongoing cooperation also includes enhanced efforts to disrupt human smuggling, trafficking, and criminal networks, and continuing the work to promote legal instead of irregular migration pathways. Also, both delegations agreed on the importance of maintaining and facilitating the vital bilateral trade at our shared border.

President López Obrador highlighted the commitment of President Biden to pursue regular, orderly, and secure migration. He stressed the need to continue the diplomatic and political engagement with all countries in the region, as well as investing in ambitious development programs throughout the entire hemisphere of the Americas. Both delegations underlined the efforts that the Biden administration is pursuing through development assistance and humanitarian aid, as well as advancing new private investments in the region.

Which is garbage, pretty much regurgitated palaver about 'root causes' from Biden's border czar, Kamala Harris and her vaunted migration report, which mean nothing. We notice that she wasn't invited to this all-important meeting for Biden. She was just there in spirit.

More specifically, it's about money, and dropping sanctions for AMLO's crummy little socialist friends running the Nicaraguan, Cuban, and Venezuelan dictatorships. AMLO saw his opportunity with Biden, recognizing how desperate he was for Mexico to stop the migrants, and decided that now was the time to get the U.S. to drop sanctions on those countries, which is what they want, and get their hands into the money pots of the big greedy gringo capitalists with so-called "investments."

The Post points out that AMLO gets $55 billion in untaxed remittance cash each year, mostly from the U.S. and its illegal migrants, and he'd like to have more of that coming. That goes doubly so for the regimes of Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela, which don't have much of any cash coming in except migrant remittances. Nicaragua, for one, reported record remittances this week from its illegal migrants.

It's telling that Mexico dropped the words "democratic decline" as one of its root causes of illegal migration in the official statement, apparently on its own, in the Spanish version of the document. Someone noticed, and then Joe Biden rolled again, dropping those words from the U.S. version of the statement in English as if following Mexico instead of sticking to the agreed-upon statement.

The Hill described that embarrassing rollover here.

The Mexican version, identical save for the phrase “democratic decline,” caused an uproar among the country’s opposition, which has raised red flags over López Obrador’s institutional reforms.

López Obrador has derided institutions such as the country’s independent electoral authority as “neoliberal,” “conservative” and too costly for the country, pushing reforms and budget cuts to weaken them.

To Mexico’s opposition, López Obrador’s actions are the very definition of “democratic decline.”

Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, the top foreign policy adviser to opposition presidential candidate Xóchitl Gálvez, accused Mexico’s government on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, of “shaving off” the term after the White House published its initial version.

But the White House reissued the English language version of the statement hours later, this time without “democratic decline.”

We might note that democratic decline is present here, too, in the migrant-receiving country, but that's not what this is about.

It's about political cover for AMLO and his dictator-y acts, and AMLO's pals, in socialist hellholes such as Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua. They're all happy the heat's off on their increasingly oppressive dictatorships and the migrants are flowing outward.

Joe was happy to roll for them there.

Worse still, there was talk of amnesty for illegals in the document, an interesting switch for AMLO who historically has opposed illegal immigration of Mexicans to the states, viewing them as traitors to the motherland.

Now he likes that illegal immigration, which, as the Post notes, has brought him billions in remittances to play around with though the banking system. Who needs poor Mexicans to support when gringo will do it for him and the money is rolling back to him instead of the protests? Who needs potential rioters who otherwise would stand up against his own bad economic policies if they have to live in their own homeland? Migration is always a cash cow for Mexican governments and for more reasons than one.

What's bad here is that amnesty -- for DACA kids and longtime illegal migrants -- will encourage more illegal immigration, not less. After that, AMLO will stand there with his hand out again, knowing that Feckless Joe will come to him, ready to roll over again.

What an ugly disaster this meeting was, and what counterproductive things -- none good for Americans -- went on there.

Back when President Trump was in office, the U.S. was able to stand tall and hit Mexico with the right incentives to get it to change its behavior on illegal migrants and the border, shutting down the border and warning AMLO that there would be no trade until he played ball. AMLO was able to read Trump clearly and decided it wasn't worth his while to end trade with one of his top trading partners.

Now it's different. For AMLO, it's time to shake concessions out of the feckless gringos. He knows Joe Biden won't change his policies, so now he calls the shots. What a satisfying thing is it for him to see Joe Biden rolling over for him again and again, pleading for for one last belly rub from the Mexicans.

Gov. Gavin Newsom to Offer Health Insurance to the World’s Migrants in 2024 If They Can Get to California

Huge 'Exodus from Poverty' migrant caravan makes its way up from southern Mexico

By Monica Showalter

In addition to the tens of thousands of migrants entering the U.S. without authorization each day now, a huge 8,000-15,000-strong migrant caravan called "Exodus from Poverty" is headed to the states from southern Mexico now.

They know full well that the border is open and Joe Biden is going to let them in.

According to the New York Post's editorial:

An estimated 8,000 people set off on Christmas Eve from the southern Mexican city of Tapachula.

Destination: the border that Joe Biden threw wide open and refuses to enforce.

Biden will do what he always does, blame Congress. But the failure is his alone.

He could stop this shocking wave of illegal migration at any time. He just doesn’t.

For one, although advocates would call this group “asylum-seekers,” one must face religious or political persecution in their home country to qualify for asylum.

This caravan advertises exactly what it’s about — carrying a banner with the slogan “Exodus from poverty."

Of its organizer, Luis Garcia Villegran, a purported Protestant reverend who was once charged with kidnapping in Mexico and who now calls his new gig shepherding migrants a religious mission:

... “Today we are the poorest of the poorest of those who are at the peak of need, those of us who do not have money to pay for visas or polleros,” said Villagrán, referring to human smugglers.

Villagran has vocally criticized American immigration policy in the past, calling it “domineering” and driven by a desire to “impose.”

There have been roughly 2 million migrant encounters at the US southern border in the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years.

Garcia Villegran is partners with one of the old migrant caravan leaders, Irineo Mujica, of Pueblo Sin Fronteras, who had reportedly been put away by authorities in Mexico, but not really. In 2018 he brought his ten thousand or so migrants in his caravan up to the Tijuana border before unceremoniously dumping them in the rain and skipping out. But he and his partner in crime are quite the media-savvy guys:

A 2021 profile in Mexico Daily described Villagran and fellow organizer Irineo Mujica as media savvy tacticians who attempt to manage perceptions of the migrant movement in addition to the thousands in their charge.

“García is more pastor than protester: pensive, eloquent, cool-headed,” the outlet wrote. “Both understand the power of public opinion, and have a knack for politics and an eye for the cameras."

I have my doubts that Garcia has any religious views at all, but his migrants do roll into the states waving crosses and shouting religious exhortations, presumably to justify breaking immigration laws, in order to make Christians in the states feel guilty for having a nation with borders and not taking in every shantytown dweller around the third world who asks, including criminals. Sadly, pretty much all the religious lines on the Christian side are going along with Garcia's game, criticizing those who call for some kind of introspection about this money-making game as it always is.

So there't little doubt they're confident they're going to get in with this small city of migrants marching under the banner of escaping poverty. They're not even trying to hide behind phony asylum claims of escaping political persecution. Garcia Villegran's message is all about shepherding the world's poor to the promised land of free stuff for gringo to pay for. Call it a new version the gospel of wealth.

The Post's editorial notes that Biden could stop this caravan if he had the gumption to -- either by turning away the economic migrants at the border right away, forcing them to use the CBPOne app for an asylum appointment (they note that this is a useless exercise because it takes all comers including those who don't qualify) or demand that they apply for asylum in their first country of refuge, which is the international law standard.

Biden of course does none of these things, which is why the gates are now open for these new caravans rolling up from southern Mexico. And with Mexican officials helping them along the way, as well as shaking them down for cash, too, there is little doubt they'll find their way in and hold their hands out.

The Post notes that Biden's Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, will be in talks with Mexico's president on Wednesday. You can bet that those talks will go nowhere. The only thing that's certain now is that word is getting around among the world's migrants that you can cross the U.S. border and live here with impunity no matter how ridiculous your case and you don't even need to disguise that you are an economic migrant anymore. It's so bad now the huge caravans are forming. This one won't be the last.

Record-Shattering 232K Migrants Apprehended in December

Border Patrol reports indicate the Biden administration will shatter the previous record for the number of migrants apprehended who illegally enter the U.S. between ports of entry in December. An unofficial Border Patrol report shows that agents apprehended approximately 232,000 migrants in the first 28 days of December. With three days to go in the month, agents could apprehend nearly 260,000 by the end of the month.

Border Patrol agents nationwide apprehended approximately 232,000 migrants thus far in December, according to an unofficial Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas. With three days to go in the month, this already shatters the previous single-month record of just over 224,000 migrants set just one year ago, according to the CBP Nationwide Encounters Report.

The Tucson Sector continues to lead the nation in migrant apprehensions in December. According to unofficial reports posted on X by Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin, his agents apprehended 16,800 migrants just in the last week. This brings his reported total for the first four weeks of December to 73,500 migrant apprehensions. This represents the largest single-month total for the Tucson Sector since the last year of the Clinton administration, when agents encountered 76,245 in March 2020. In contrast, during FY20, President Donald Trump’s last full year in office, Tucson Sector agents apprehended only 66,076 migrants.

Since the new fiscal year began on October 1, agents have already apprehended more than 615,000 migrants.

Unlimited immigration. Obama issued an unconstitutional executive order – an action he repeated routinely to counter Congressional action – that instituted mass immigration of poor, uneducated third-world people into the U.S., not to assimilate with our culture but to keep their own and demand that U.S. taxpayers subsidize them. Deportations of illegal immigrants under the new policy were dramatically reduced, even as scores more poured across the southern border as the number of border patrol agents decreased.

Congressman Investigates Role Of La Raza In Border Crisis

1

KERRY PICKET

27 Jun 2014

A key congressman says he is investigating claims a left-wing
pro-amnesty group is encouraging people in Central America to come illegally to the U.S., but the group firmly denies it is doing so and the information is only hearsay.

Congressman John Carter (R-TX), Chairman of the Homeland
Security Subcommittee on Appropriations, told Breitbart News on Thursday that he heard staff who work for various offices in Central America at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) is encouraging illegal immigrants to cross the border into the U.S.

Department of Public Safety,” Carter said, adding, “They have an office in all three countries and they’re promoting, ‘Now is the time to come to America.’ I’m looking into it right now,” he said noting the information is currently hearsay.

NCLR called the claim, “completely incorrect.” In a statement to Breitbart NCLR stated:

Deeming the growing numbers of unaccompanied child refugees in U.S. government custody an international humanitarian situation, NCLR (National Council of La Raza) today endorsed Senator Robert Menendez’s (D-N.J.) multipoint plan to address the issue and also called for
greater financial support of the many humanitarian, legal and children’s organizations that have been leading efforts to assist these children.

child refugees, and we need to remember that they are young children desperate for what most children take for granted: a safe place to live and grow,” noted Juan Sanchez, Southwest Key President and CEO. “Our hope now is to get the remaining 3,000 or so kids who are still in border patrol offices into shelters or with an appropriate guardian.”

they need. There are a number of tireless organizations who have long been involved in these issues such as Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), as well as ProBar, the American Bar Association’s immigrant/refugee representation project. We urge attorneys, companies and other individuals to consider donating both critically needed financial and in-kind support such as pro bono assistance to these organizations, as well as supporting other deeply involved charitable organizations such as Church World Service and Catholic Charities,” concluded Murguía.

BARACK OBAMA, JOE BIDEN and ERIC HOLDER’S SABOTAGE OF HOMELAND SECURITY: The “zero tolerance” program was dismantled by Attorney General Erc Holder once it had successfully cut the transit of migrants by roughly 95 percent. Initially, officials made 140,000 arrests per year in the mid-2000s, but the northward flow dropped so much that officials only had to make 6,000 arrests in 2013, according to a 2014 letter by two pro-migration Senators, Sen. Jeff Flake and John McCain. NEIL MUNRO

It’s time to reprise a 2003 warning by Democratic former Colorado governor Dick Lamm about a “secret plan” that is destroying our country through the combined effects of unchecked immigration, the “diversity” agenda and abandoning our national principle of “out of many, one.” This lunacy must end.

FIFTEEN THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

ABOUT LA RAZA “THE RACE”

by Michelle Malkin

Only in America could critics of a group called "The Race" be labeled racists. Such is the triumph of left-wing identity chauvinists, whose aggressive activists and supine abettors have succeeded in redefining all opposition as "hate."

Both Barack Obama and John McCain will speak this week in San Diego at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, the Latino organization whose name is Spanish for, yes, "The Race." Can you imagine Obama and McCain paying homage to a group of white people who called themselves that? No matter. The presidential candidates and the media have legitimized "The Race" as a mainstream ethnic lobbying group and marginalized its critics as intolerant bigots. The unvarnished truth is that the group is a radical ethnic nationalist outfit that abuses your tax dollars and milks PC politics to undermine our sovereignty.

Here are 15 things you should know about "The Race":

15. "The Race" supports driver's licenses for illegal aliens.

14."The Race" demands in-state tuition discounts for illegal alien students that are not available to law-abiding U.S. citizens and law-abiding legal immigrants.

13. "The Race" vehemently opposes cooperative immigration enforcement efforts between local, state and federal authorities.

12. "The Race" opposes a secure fence on the southern border.

11. "The Race" joined the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in a failed lawsuit attempt to prevent the feds from entering immigration information into a key national crime database -- and to prevent local police officers from accessing the data.

10. "The Race" opposed the state of Oklahoma's tough immigration-enforcement-first laws, which cut off welfare to illegal aliens, put teeth in employer sanctions and strengthened local-federal cooperation and information sharing.

9. "The Race" joined other open-borders, anti-assimilationists and sued to prevent Proposition 227, California's bilingual education reform ballot initiative, from becoming law.

8. "The Race" bitterly protested common-sense voter ID provisions as an "absolute disgrace."

7. "The Race" has consistently opposed post-9/11 national security measures at every turn.

6. Former "Race" president Raul Yzaguirre, Hillary Clinton's Hispanic outreach adviser, said this: "U.S. English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks." He was referring to U.S. English, the nation's oldest, largest citizens' action group dedicated to preserving the unifying role of the English language in the United States. "The Race" also pioneered Orwellian open-borders Newspeak and advised the Mexican government on how to lobby for illegal alien amnesty while avoiding the terms "illegal" and "amnesty."

JOE BIDEN'S SEC OF HEALTH, GAMER LAWYER XAVIER BECERRA, IS LONG ASSOCIATED WITH THE MEX SEPARATISTS MOVEMENT OF M.E.Ch.A.

5. "The Race" gives mainstream cover to a poisonous subset of ideological satellites, led by Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA). The late GOP Rep. Charlie Norwood rightly characterized the organization as "a radical racist group … one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West."

4. "The Race" is currently leading a smear campaign against staunch immigration enforcement leaders and has called for TV and cable news networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves -- in addition to pushing for Fairness Doctrine policies to shut up their foes. The New York Times reported that current "Race" president Janet Murguia believes "hate speech" should "not be tolerated, even if such censorship were a violation of First Amendment rights."

3. "The Race" sponsors militant ethnic nationalist charter schools subsidized by your public tax dollars (at least $8 million in federal education grants). The schools include Aztlan Academy in Tucson, Ariz., the Mexicayotl Academy in Nogales, Ariz., Academia Cesar Chavez Charter School in St. Paul, Minn., and La Academia Semillas del Pueblo in Los Angeles, whose principal inveighed: "We don't want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We don't need a White water fountain … ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction."

2. "The Race" has perfected the art of the PC shakedown at taxpayer expense, pushing relentlessly to lower home loan standards for Hispanic borrowers, reaping millions in federal "mortgage counseling" grants, seeking special multimillion-dollar earmarks and partnering with banks that do business with illegal aliens.

1. "The Race" thrives on ethnic supremacy -- and the elite sheeple's unwillingness to call it what it is. As historian Victor Davis Hanson observes: "[The] organization's very nomenclature 'The National Council of La Raza' is hate speech to the core. Despite all the contortions of the group, Raza (as its Latin cognate suggests) reflects the meaning of 'race' in Spanish, not 'the people' -- and that's precisely why we don't hear of something like 'The National Council of the People,' which would not confer the buzz notion of ethnic, racial and tribal chauvinism."

The fringe is the center. The center is the fringe. Viva La Raza.

THIS FUCKER IS WORSE THAN LA RAZA AND M.E.Ch.A. MEMBER CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL XAVIER BECERRA!

OBAMA APPOINTED Judge whose sister heads La Raza rules 130-year la against encouraging illegal immigrants is unconstitutional

https://www.conservativereview.com/news/judge-whose-sister-heads-la-raza-rules-130-year-law-encouraging-illegal-immigrants-unconstitutional/

Daniel Horowitz ·

Imagine if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Rashida Tlaib got to single-handedly veto sovereignty legislation dating back to the 1880s just like a president could veto a new bill passed by Congress this session. Imagine if they could unilaterally abolish ICE and declare open borders, except, unlike a president, they wouldn’t have to stand for re-election. Well, that is exactly the situation this week with a single federal judge. Thanks to Republicans agreeing to the notion that judges – even lower court judges – have direct veto power over legislation, a foundational immigration law has just been “vetoed.”

KCUR-FM reports that on Wednesday, Judge Carlos Murguia of the U.S. District Court of Kansas ruled, based on a Ninth Circuit opinion, that 8 U.S.C. §1324, the law prohibiting someone from “encouraging” or “inducing” illegal immigration, is an unconstitutional infringement upon the First Amendment. In doing so, Murguia vacated the convictions of two illegal aliens, Jose Felipe Hernandez-Calvillo and Mauro Papalotzi, who were convicted in August 2018 by a jury for conspiring to encourage illegal aliens to remain here through employment at a drywall company in Lawrence, Kansas. Four others were originally indicted by a grand jury in 2015.

This law has been on the books in some form for over 130 years, and numerous federal courts have upheld convictions based on §1324. Yet one judge, who worked for an open-borders group named El Centro Inc. and whose sister Janet Murguia is president of La Raza (now called UnidosUS), suddenly thinks conspiring to harbor and encourage illegal immigration violates the First Amendment. Carlos’ sister Mary (who is an identical twin to Janet) is a federal judge on the very Ninth Circuit Court from which he drew this opinion. Judge Mary Murguia once recused herself from a trial involving pro-enforcement Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of her sister’s leadership of La Raza. Carlos should have done the same thing this week in this case, which involves a law that directly conflicts with the work with the open-borders groups his family is associated with.

Rather than rule based on the law, he decided to adopt the ruling of the Ninth Circuit (which doesn’t have jurisdiction in Kansas), which ruled last December that §1324 is “unconstitutionally overbroad” because it “criminalizes a substantial amount of protected expression.” “The court adopts (the 9th Circuit’s) analysis in full and agrees that (the law) on its face is overbroad under the First Amendment,” said Murguia in a brief bench ruling first reported by KCUR-FM.

This assertion is ridiculous, because the law clearly refers to engaging in subversive and fraudulent activities to encourage or enable actual individual aliens to remain in the country, not mere political advocacy for liberal immigration policies in the abstract. It’s like saying that someone who hates high taxes or gun control laws and advocates against them is the same as a person who actively assists tax cheats and gun felons in achieving the end goal of the criminalized behavior.

The 1952 INA (8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)) calls for felony prosecution for anyone who “encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Subsection (V)(I) prohibits “any conspiracy to commit any of the preceding acts.” The two defendants in this case were convicted on both counts. This law passed the Senate unanimously!

The forerunners to this law were the Contract Labor Law of 1885 and the 1891 Immigration Act. The 1885 law made it unlawful to “in any way assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien” for the purpose of contract labor. Section 3 of the 1891 Immigration Act made it a felony to “assist or encourage the importation or migration of any alien by promise of employment” through advertisements.

Other circuits have long recognized this law as completely legitimate. “Harboring, within the meaning of §1324, encompasses conduct tending substantially to facilitate an alien’s remaining in the United States illegally and to prevent government authorities from detecting his unlawful presence,” wrote the Second Circuit in 1999. “Such facilitation may be attempted through a wide range of conduct.” (United States v. Kim, 193 F.3d 567, 574 (2d Cir. 1999).) The Fifth Circuit has ruled that Congress intended for §1324 to “broadly proscribe any knowing or willful conduct fairly within any of these terms that tends to substantially facilitate an alien’s remaining in the U.S. illegally.”

So how could a single judge who has a family history of open-borders activism be allowed to veto such long-standing and universal laws? The answer is that he has no such power other than what the other branches are willing to cede him.

The concern here is that this will not only protect employers who knowingly help illegal aliens get around our immigration laws, but it will also essentially legalize sanctuary cities. Throughout the county, sanctuary cities are taking active steps to thwart immigration law. We would never tolerate this for other federal laws concerning American criminals. Why should illegal aliens have special privileges?

Rather than shirking from §1324 prosecutions, Trump’s DOJ should aggressively go after sanctuary cities, especially in areas where there are saner federal judges. A judge has no power to “strike down” or veto statutes he or she believes are overly broad. If there is a case that concerns pure speech or advocacy without any conspiracy or action taken to encourage illegal immigration, then it is within the prerogative of a judge not to convict the person. That is judicial power. But judges have no ability to say that the statute can’t be applied even when an action is involved because, in their view, the text of the law might rope in speech in other cases. To believe otherwise is to concoct an entirely new level of judicial veto that our Founders explicitly rejected. This is the difference between judicial review and judicial supremacy.

Finally, it’s important to remember that this is yet another example of judges attempting to fully nullify long-standing immigration law. Some on the Right believe that Congress needs to pass new laws in order to end illegal immigration. It’s simply not true. We don’t have a law problem; we have a judicial supremacy problem. The only question is whether the other branches will give this fake power full effect.

ALIEN NATION: Secrets of the Invasion

Why America's government invites rampant illegal immigration

It's widely regarded as America's biggest problem: Between 12 and 20 million aliens (MOST SOURCES SUGGEST THERE ARE MUCH MORE LIKELY NEARLY 40 MILLION ILLEGALS HERE NOW) – including large numbers of criminals, gang members and even terrorists – have entered this nation illegally, with countless more streaming across our scandalously unguarded borders daily.

The issue polarizes the nation, robs citizens of jobs, bleeds taxpayers, threatens America's national security and dangerously balkanizes the country into unassimilated ethnic groups with little loyalty or love for America's founding values. Indeed, the de facto invasion is rapidly transforming America into a totally different country than the one past generations have known and loved.

And yet – most Americans have almost no idea what is really going on, or why it is happening.

While news reports depict demonstrations and debates, and while politicians promise "comprehensive border security programs," no real answers ever seem to emerge.

But there are answers. Truthful answers. Shocking answers.

In its groundbreaking May edition, WND's acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine reveals the astounding hidden agendas, plans and people behind America's immigration nightmare.

Titled "ALIEN NATION," the issue is subtitled "SECRETS OF THE INVASION: Why government invites rampant illegal immigration." Indeed, it reveals pivotal secrets very few Americans know. For example:

Did you know that the powerfully influential Council on Foreign Relations – often described as a “shadow government" – issued a comprehensive report last year laying out a five-year plan for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security community" with a common "outer security perimeter"?

Roughly translated: In the next few years, according to the 59-page report titled "Building a North American Community," the U.S. must be integrated with the socialism, corruption, poverty and population of Mexico and Canada. "Common perimeter" means wide-open U.S. borders between the U.S., Mexico and Canada. As Phyllis Schlafly reveals in this issue of Whistleblower: "This CFR document asserts that President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin 'committed their governments' to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005. The three adopted the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America' and assigned 'working groups' to fill in the details. It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American Summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet 'vigilantes' on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona."

The CFR report – important excerpts of which are published in Whistleblower – also suggests North American elitists begin getting together regularly, and presumably secretly, "to buttress North American relationships, along the lines of the Bilderberg or Wehrkunde conferences, organized to support transatlantic relations." The Bilderberg and Wehrkunde conferences are highly secret conclaves of the powerful. For decades, there have been suspicions that such meetings were used for plotting the course of world events and especially the centralization of global decision-making.

Did you know that radical immigrant groups – including the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) and the National Council of La Raza (La Raza) – not only share a revolutionary agenda of conquering America's southwest, but they also share common funding sources, notably the Ford and Rockefeller foundations?

''California is going to be a Hispanic state," said Mario Obeldo, former head of MALDEF. "Anyone who does not like it should leave." And MEChA's goal is even more radical: an independent ''Aztlan,'' the collective name this organization gives to the seven states of the U.S. Southwest – Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah. So why would the Rockefeller and Ford foundations support such groups? Joseph Farah tells the story in this issue of Whistleblower.

Why have America's politicians – of both major parties – allowed the illegal alien invasion of this nation to continue for the last 30 years unabated? With al-Qaida and allied terrorists promising to annihilate major U.S. cities with nuclear weapons, with some big-city hospital emergency rooms near closure due to the crush of so many illegals, with the rapid spread throughout the U.S. of MS-13, the super-violent illegal alien gang – with all this and more, why do U.S. officials choose to ignore the laws of the land and the will of the people to pursue, instead, policies of open borders and lax immigration enforcement?

The answers to all this and much more are in Whistleblower's "ALIEN NATION" issue.

Is there hope? Or is America lost to a demographic invasion destined to annihilate its traditional Judeo-Christian culture, and to the ever-growing likelihood that nuclear-armed jihadists will cross our porous borders and wreak unthinkable destruction here?

There most definitely is hope, according to this issue of Whistleblower. Although most politicians of both major political parties have long since abdicated their responsibility for securing America's borders and dealing effectively with the millions already here illegally, there are a few exceptions – most notably Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo.

May's Whistleblower includes an exclusive sneak preview of Tancredo's forthcoming blockbuster book, "In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America’s Border and Security." In an extended excerpt, Whistleblower presents Tencredo's expert and inspired analysis of exactly how to solve the nation's most vexing problem.

THE AZTLAN INVASION & THE LA RAZA FASCIST PARTY FOR MEXICAN SUPREMACY

“The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.”

MULTICULTURALISM, IMMIGRATION AND AZTLAN

By Maria Hsia Chang Professor of Political Science, University of Nevada Reno

One of the standard arguments invoked by those in favor of massive immigration into the United States is that our country is founded on immigrants who have always been successfully assimilated into America's mainstream culture and society. As one commentator put it, "Assimilation evokes the misty past of Ellis Island, through which millions entered, eventually seeing their descendants become as American as George Washington."1 Nothing more vividly testifies against that romantic faith in America's ability to continuously assimilate new members than the events of October 16, 1994 in Los Angeles. On that day, 70,000 people marched beneath "a sea of Mexican flags" protesting Proposition 187, a referendum measure that would deny many state benefits to illegal immigrants and their children. Two weeks later, more protestors marched down the street, this time carrying an American flag upside down. Both protests point to a disturbing and rising phenomenon of Chicano separatism in the United States — the product of a complex of forces, among which are multiculturalism and a generous immigration policy combined with a lax border control. The Problem Chicanos refer to "people of Mexican descent in the United States" or "Mexican Americans in general." Today, there are reasons to believe that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or circumstance — resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the United States. More than that, there are Chicano political activists who intend to marry cultural separateness with territorial and political self-determination. The more moderate among them aspire to the cultural and political autonomy of "home rule". The radicals seek nothing less than secession from the United States whether to form their own sovereign state or to reunify with Mexico. Those who desire reunification with Mexico are irredentists who seek to reclaim Mexico's "lost" territories in the American Southwest.

Whatever their goals, what animates all of them is the dream of Aztlan. According to legend, Aztlan was the ancestral homeland of the Aztecs which they left in journeying southward to found Tenochtitlan, the center of their new civilization, which is today's Mexico City. Today, the "Nation of Aztlan" refers to the American southwestern states of California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, portions of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, which Chicano nationalists claim were stolen by the United States and must be reconquered (Reconquista) and reclaimed for Mexico. The myth of Aztlan was revived by Chicano political activists in the 1960s as a central symbol of Chicano nationalist ideology. In 1969, at the Chicano National Liberation Youth Conference in Denver, Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales put forth a political document entitled El Plan de Aztlan (Spiritual Plan of Aztlan). The Plan is a clarion call to Mexican-Americans to form a separate Chicano nation: In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historial heritage, but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the nothern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers ...declare that the call of our blood is...our inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops, and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.... Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come .... With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.

How Chicanos are Unlike Previous Immigrants Brent A. Nelson, writing in 1994, observed that in the 1980s America's Southwest had begun to be transformed into "a de facto nation" with its own culture, history, myth, geography, religion, education, and language. Whatever evidence there is indicates that Chicanos, as a group, are unlike previous waves of immigrants into the United States. In the first place, many Chicanos do not consider themselves immigrants at all because their people "have been here for 450 years" before the English, French, or Dutch. Before California and the Southwest were seized by the United States, they were the lands of Spain and Mexico. As late as 1780 the Spanish crown laid claim to territories from Florida to California, and on the far side of the Mississippi up to the Great Lakes and the Rockies. Mexico held title to much of Spanish possessions in the United States until the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican-American war in 1848. As a consequence, Mexicans "never accepted the borders drawn up by the 1848 treaty."

That history has created among Chicanos a feeling of resentment for being "a conquered people," made part of the United States against their will and by the force of arms. Their resentment is amply expressed by Voz Fronteriza, a Chicano student publication,

which referred to Border Patrol officers killed in the line of duty as "pigs (migra)" trying to defend "the false frontier."

Chicanos are also distinct from other immigrant groups because of the geographic proximity of their native country. Their physical proximity to Mexico gives Chicanos "the option of life in both Americas, in two places and in two cultures, something earlier immigrants never had." Geographic proximity and ease of transportation are augmented by the media. Radio and television keep the spoken language alive and current so that Spanish, unlike the native languages of previous immigrants into the United States, "shows no sign of fading."

A result of all that is the failure by Chicanos to be fully assimilated into the larger American society and culture. As Earl Shorris, author of Latinos: A Biography of the People, observed: "Latinos have been more resistant to the melting pot than any other group. Their entry en masse into the United States will test the limits of the American experiment...." The continuous influx of Mexican immigrants into the United States serve to continuously renew Chicano culture so that their sense of separateness will probably continue "far into the future...." There are other reasons for the failure of Chicano assimilation. Historically, a powerful force for assimilation was upward social mobility: Immigrants into the United States became assimilated as they rose in educational achievement and income. But today's post-industrial American economy, with its narrower paths to upward mobility, is making it more difficult for certain groups to improve their socioeconomic circumstances. Unionized factory jobs, which once provided a step up for the second generation of past waves of immigrants, have been disappearing for decades. Instead of the diamond-shaped economy of industrial America, the modern American economy is shaped like an hourglass. There is a good number of jobs for unskilled people at the bottom, a fair number of jobs for the highly educated at the top, but comparatively few jobs for those in the middle without a college education or special skills. To illustrate, a RAND Corporation study forecasts that 85 percent of California's new jobs will require post-secondary education. For a variety of reasons, the nationwide high-school dropout rate for Hispanics (the majority of whom are Chicano) is 30 percent — three times the rate for whites and twice the rate for blacks. Paradoxically, the dropout rate for Hispanics born in the United States is even higher than for young immigrants. Among Chicanos, high-school dropout rates actually rise between the second and third generations. Their low educational achievement accounts for why Chicanos as a group are poor despite being hardworking. In 1996, for the first time, Hispanic poverty rate began to exceed that of American blacks. In 1995, household income rose for every ethnic group except Hispanics, for whom it dropped 5 percent. Latinos now make up a quarter of the nation's poor people, and are more than three times as likely to be impoverished than whites. This decline in income has taken place despite high rates of labor-force participation by Latino men, and despite an emerging Latino middle class. In California, where Latinos now approach one-third of the population, their education levels are far lower than those of other immigrants, and they earn about half of what native-born Californians earn. This means that, for the first time in the history of American immigration, hard work is not leading to economic advancement because immigrants in service jobs face unrelenting labor-market pressure from more recently arrived immigrants who are eager to work for less. The narrowing of the pathways of upward mobility has implications for the children of recent Mexican immigrants. Their ascent into the middle-class mainstream will likely be blocked and they will join children of earlier black and Puerto Rican migrants as part of an expanded multiethnic underclass. Whereas first generation immigrants compare their circumstances to the Mexico that they left — and thereby feel immeasurably better off — their children and grandchildren will compare themelves to other U.S. groups. Given their lower educational achievement and income, that comparison will only lead to feelings of relative deprivation and resentment. They are unlikely to be content as maids, gardeners, or fruit pickers. Many young Latinos in the second and third generations see themselves as locked in irremediable conflict with white society, and are quick to deride successful Chicano students as "wannabes." For them, to study hard is to "act white" and exhibit group disloyalty. That attitude is part of the Chicano culture of resistance — a culture that actively resists assimilation into mainstream America. That culture is created, reinforced, and maintained by radical Chicano intellectuals, politicians, and the many Chicano Studies programs in U.S. colleges and universities. As examples, according to its editor, Elizabeth Martinez, the purpose of Five Hundred Years of Chicano History, a book used in over 300 schools throughout the West, is to "celebrate our resistance to being colonized and absorbed by racist empire builders." The book calls the INS and the Border Patrol "the Gestapo for Mexicans."

For Rodolfo Acuna, author of Occupied America: The Chicano's Struggle Toward Liberation, probably the most widely assigned text in U.S. Chicano Studies programs, the Anglo-American invasion of Mexico was "as vicious as that of Hitler's invasion of Poland and other Central European nations...." The book also includes a map showing "the Mexican republic" in 1822 reaching up into Kansas and Oklahoma, and including within it Utah, Nevada, and everything west and south of there

"This is country belongs to Mexico" is said by the Mexican Militant. This is a common teaching that the U.S. is really AZTLAN, belonging to Mexicans, which is taught to Mexican kids in Arizona and California through a LA Raza educational program funded by American Tax Payers via President Obama, when he gave LA RAZA $800,000.00 in March of 2009!

'Diversity,’ Illegal Immigration and

Destroying America

22,000 in U.S. Died from Coronavirus in Biden’s Second Week in Office

More than 22,000 people in the United States have died from the Chinese coronavirus during President Joe Biden’s second week in office.

An estimated 22,032 people in the U.S. have died due to complications from the coronavirus during Biden’s second week in the White House, according to statistics provided by Johns Hopkins University.

During Biden’s first week, an estimated 31,180 died from the Wuhan virus, bringing the nation’s total to 428,791 coronavirus-related deaths. By the end of Biden’s second week in office, the nationwide death toll has risen to 450,823.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky projected the United States may see the nationwide number of coronavirus deaths exceed 500,000 by February 20.

Rollout of the available coronavirus vaccines in the United States continues to be slow.

Meanwhile, as the U.S. struggles to quickly roll out the coronavirus vaccine, the Biden administration planned to offer vaccines to detainees held at the U.S. military prison in Guantánamo Bay — but later backed down on its decision after receiving backlash.

“You can’t make this up. The ridiculousness of what we get from our government,” said Tom Von Essen, who served as city fire commissioner during the 9/11 attacks. “They will run the vaccine down to those lowlifes at Guantánamo Bay before every resident of the United States of America gets it is the theater of the absurd.”

Moreover, House Democrats are urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to include an amnesty for certain subgroups of illegal aliens in a coronavirus relief package for Americans.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) has also said the Democrats’ $1.9 trillion coronavirus proposal amounts to nothing more than payback to liberal states that helped Democrats during the recent elections.

“Senate Republicans are all in for getting targeted relief to Americans that are still hurting from this pandemic. But President Biden and the Democrats want to spend more than $350 billion to bail out their friends in New York, Illinois, and California,” said Scott.

“And they are lying about the need for this money. Congress has already given states roughly $400 billion to combat this crisis,” the senator added.

House Democrats Urge Joe Biden to Give Obamacare to DACA Recipients

KATHERINE RODRIGUEZ

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and 93 other House Democrats are urging President Joe Biden to give Obamacare benefits to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) recipients.

Castro and the 93 other House Democrats signed a letter Tuesday pressing for the change as part of the response to the coronavirus pandemic, claiming it would benefit not only those in the DACA program, but also the general public, NBC News reported.

The letter was addressed to Biden and Acting Secretary of Health and Human Services Norris Cochran.

Castro said in the letter:

Access to Covid-19 testing and treatment for DACA recipients and their U.S. citizen children is absolutely critical during this pandemic, particularly for the 202,500 DACA recipients employed as essential workers on the front lines to keep our country healthy and running.

Under current rules, DACA recipients cannot enroll in Obamacare because they are not considered “lawfully present.” Castro argued that DACA recipients are treated as “lawfully present” for other federal benefits and urged the Biden administration to revoke the rule.

Whether House members plan to enact legislation to this effect or just want Biden to introduce an executive order on the subject is unclear.

Some Republicans say the effort will not pass Congress if Democrats try to introduce it as legislation.

“He’s doubling down on putting American taxpayers last by giving free health care to DACA recipients, when he should be solely focused on the most urgent health issue of our time: getting every American vaccinated,” Lauren Fine, a spokeswoman for Republican House Whip Steve Scalise told Fox News Friday.

“An expansion of ObamaCare to DACA recipients won’t pass Congress and is wasting time he should be spending on leading us out of the Coronavirus crisis and reopening our economy,” Fine added.

If Castro’s push is successful, the move would be another expansion of benefits the Biden administration would be providing to illegal aliens.

The DACA program, which was started in 2012 during the Obama administration, allowed illegal aliens who came to the country as young children to work or go to school while they legally remained in the country.

Former President Donald Trump repeatedly tried to end DACA, but the Supreme Court rebuffed his efforts.

President Joe Biden will sign three migration-related Executive Orders on Tuesday, including one directing deputies to consider offering legal entry to illegal immigrants who used their children to cross the border during President Donald Trump’s tenure, say press reports.

The Washington Post reported statements made by officials to selected reporters Monday evening:

Government officials said they had not settled on a single legal status that would be given to returning parents, adding that families could receive different visas or legal protections depending on their cases.

The briefing was used to frame media coverage of the three orders that Biden will sign Tuesday. The New York Times outlined:

Officials said that could include providing visas or other legal means of entry to parents who have been deported back to their home countries. Or it could involve sending children who are living in the United States back to those countries to be with their parents. They said each case would be looked at separately.

“The official said each family would be evaluated on an ‘individual basis,’ taking into account the ‘preference of the family … and the well-being of children,'” according to NBC.

The giveaway is aimed at the roughly 5,500 families who were temporarily divided when the children who were brought over the border were held in shelters. At the same time, the adults were separated and prosecuted for violating the nation’s border laws.

Democrats used the “separated kids” theme to rally liberal opposition to President Donald Trump’s efforts to block southern migration, which included almost one million people in 2019. That migrant wave included many people who brought their children to help them open catch and release loopholes in border rules.

Biden’s offer of benefits for “separated families” is being played up by sympathetic reporters at many outlets and helps to minimize discussion about the broader impact of the pending Executive Orders.

The White House officials downplayed the immediate consequences of the three Executive Orders. The New York Times said:

Senior administration officials said Monday night that most of Mr. Biden’s directives on Tuesday would not make immediate changes. Rather, they are intended to give officials at the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department and the State Department time to evaluate how best to undo the policies.

National Public Radio reported:

The executive actions make clear that rolling back former President Donald Trump’s hardline immigration measures won’t happen overnight. In fact, more actions are almost certain to follow, officials told reporters on a preview call about the measures.

“It takes time to review everything, so we are starting with these right now, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of it,” one of the officials said.

But the orders could have a dramatic impact over the next few years.

For example, one order directs the Department of Homeland Security to remove barriers to migration, such as Trump’s “Public Charge” test. The test bars green cards to poor migrants who would need government support to prosper in the United States.

Another order directs officials to create a new pipeline of migrants from Central America to Americans’ workplaces and communities.

Also, the offer of benefits to people who brought their children to get through loopholes creates another incentive for millions of poor people to bring their children as they head north to get jobs — or even legal status — under Biden’s looser policies.

Those policies would further encourage low-skill migration that would spike workplace competition for blue-collar Americans and boosting government aid for poor migrants. That migration would benefit investors, who gain from cheap workers, reduced need for automation, and greater government spending.

The media reports downplayed Biden’s encouragement of migration with the claimed goal of raising economic incentives for migrants to stay in their home countries.

Unlike Trump and his pro-American policies, Biden and his deputies are determined to share Americans’ resources with foreign migrants on the claims of “fairness” and “humanity.”

“President Biden’s approach is to deal with immigration comprehensively, fairly, and humanely,” CNN reported.

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad opposition to labor migration — or the hiring of temporary contract workers into the jobs sought by young U.S. graduates. The multiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedpriority-driven, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory.

The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

NYTimes revives old claim: Americans should get the blame for illegal migration b/c they won't OK endless migration into their national labor market.
This claim is elite BS – and is proven wrong by 1990 immig law. But Biden, GW Bush & WSJ also push it.https://t.co/YCo40wcUHX

Steve Scalise: Vaccinating Illegals Before Americans ‘a Slap in the Face’

SEAN MORAN

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) said in a statement Tuesday that President Joe Biden handing out vaccines to illegal immigrants before U.S. citizens should be considered a “slap in the face” to millions of Americans waiting for the coronavirus vaccine.

Scalise, the ranking member of the Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis, released a statement after Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Monday that the agency would provide “equal access to the COVID-19 vaccines” for “undocumented immigrants.”

“It is a moral and public health imperative to ensure that all individuals residing in the United States have access to the vaccine. DHS encourages all individuals, regardless of immigration status, to receive the COVID-19 vaccine once eligible under local distribution guidelines,” the DHS explained in a statement Monday.

DHS continued:

To reach underserved and rural communities, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in collaboration with federal partners, will coordinate efforts to establish and support fixed facilities, pop-up or temporary vaccination sites, and mobile vaccination clinics. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection will not conduct enforcement operations at or near vaccine distribution sites or clinics. Consistent with ICE’s long-standing sensitive locations policy, ICE does not and will not carry out enforcement operations at or near health care facilities, such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, accredited health clinics, and emergent or urgent care facilities, except in the most extraordinary of circumstances.

Scalise said that this move amounts to a slap in the face for Americans waiting to get the vaccine.

He said:

President Biden’s plan to vaccinate illegal immigrants ahead of Americans who are currently being denied the COVID-19 vaccine is a slap in the face to millions of hard-working families who have been waiting months for the vaccine and expect Washington leaders to be looking out for them. This pattern of President Biden putting non-citizens ahead of American citizens is even more disturbing after last week’s actions that put foreign jobs over American jobs; now he is making Americans wait to get the vaccine behind people who came here illegally. Even worse, this comes on top of the recent exposure of the Biden administration’s original plan to prioritize vaccinating terrorists at Guantanamo Bay over Americans here at home. It is time that President Biden puts Americans first when it comes to protecting the hard-working families who are counting on Washington to put them first.

“President Biden must abandon this ridiculous plan and instead focus on getting the elderly, the vulnerable, frontline workers, and other essential Americans vaccinated as quickly as possible,” Scalise added.

House Democrats Seek to Include Amnesty for Illegal Aliens in Coronavirus Relief Package

About 100 House Democrats are urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to include an amnesty for certain subgroups of illegal aliens in a relief package for Americans impacted by the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

The group of House Democrats, led by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, want to include an amnesty for at least five million illegal aliens who consider themselves “essential workers” and who are recipients of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) programs. The letter states:

As you continue to work on assembling a COVID-19 reconciliation package and begin work on an economic recovery and jobs package, we urge you to include a pathway to citizenship for essential immigrant workers, Dreamers, and TPS holders, as well as their families, in order to ensure a robust recovery that is inclusive and equitable for all Americans regardless of their immigration status.

Letter to Speaker Pelosi an… by John Binder

The amnesty would pack the United States labor market with millions of newly legalized illegal aliens who would be allowed to legally compete for jobs against 18 million unemployed Americans and another 6.2 million Americans who are underemployed.

Eventually, those legalized by the amnesty would be put on a path to obtaining American citizenship. The House Democrats claim the amnesty would boost U.S. wages, though a tightened labor market with reduced foreign competition against Americans has proven to spike salaries.

“A pathway to citizenship for undocumented essential workers would raise the wage floor and in turn benefit all workers, beyond direct beneficiaries,” the House Democrats write.

The proposal comes as President Joe Biden’s administration has put forth an amnesty plan that would allow nearly the entire illegal alien population — between 11 and 22 million foreign nationals — to eventually obtain American citizenship.

Thus far, 28 of the most vulnerable House Democrats have stayed silent on whether they would support such a proposal at a time of mass unemployment.

Every year more than 1.2 million legal immigrants are awarded green cards, another 1.4 million foreign nationals are given visas, and hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens are added to the U.S. population. Wall Street, the big business lobby, and Big Tech have lobbied for years for an amnesty and an increase in legal immigration levels to boost their profit margins by cutting labor costs through U.S. job outsourcing.

Already, taxpayers are forced tsubsidize about $18.5 billion of yearly medical costs for illegal aliens living in the U.S., according to estimates by Chris Conover, formerly of the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University.

California Democrats Lobby to Give Health Insurance to All Illegal Aliens

JOHN BINDER

Democrats in California are lobbying Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to expand the state’s health insurance program to all illegal alien residents.

Newsom introduced as part of his budget plan an expansion of the state’s health insurance program that would allow elderly illegal aliens 60 or older to become eligible for coverage. The cost to taxpayers is estimated at nearly $860 million.

Democrats, though, said Newsom’s plan does not go far enough and that the state should make all illegal alien residents eligible for coverage. California is home to at least three million illegal aliens.

The Los Angeles Times reports:

“Our ultimate goal is everyone,” state Sen. Maria Elena Durazo (D-Los Angeles) said of pushing for more coverage. “I think we are in the best position than we have ever been to make more significant process than we ever have. We are going to keep on pushing to include more uninsured.” [Emphasis added]

California’s Medi-Cal system already covers young immigrants until they turn 26. The state first offered Medi-Cal coverage to children living in the country illegally through the age of 18 in 2016. Last year, young adults were eligible for coverage after California expanded the age cut-off so that it mirrored that of the Affordable Care Act, which allows a person to remain on a parent’s health insurance plan until turning 26. At the time, Newsom called the expanded eligibility the “right thing to do.” [Emphasis added]

“Everyone has been talking for the past year or more about how certain communities were disproportionally impacted by the pandemic, such as undocumented and low-income Californians,” said Sarah Dar, the director of health and public benefits policy at the California Immigrant Policy Center. “Now, with the $75 billion, we have to fix those structural issues and ensure the safety net programs help all communities. Now is the time to do as much as we can.” [Emphasis added]

Earlier this month, State Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D) introduced legislation to effectively drive healthcare migration to the state of California with a plan that would allow adults to add their elderly illegal alien parents as dependents to their health insurance coverage.

The California Health Benefits Review Program admitted that the plan would likely ensure that foreign nationals in Mexico and Central America with health problems would migrate to California to secure coverage.

“Although there are administrative hurdles relating to receiving care in the United States for a dependent parent residing in Mexico or Canada, the opportunity to receive care in the United States would be very attractive, especially for those with high-risk conditions,” the analysis notes.

Today, Americans are forced to subsidize about $18.5 billion of yearly medical costs for illegal aliens living in the U.S., according to estimates by Chris Conover, formerly of the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University.

Joe Biden Diverts Healthcare Cash to Help

Illegal Migrants

NEIL MUNRO

President Joe Biden has taken  $2 billion from Americans’ healthcare  programs to help deliver migrant  youths and children to their illegal-migrant parents throughout the  United States, press reports say.

“The Department of Health and Human Services [HHS] has diverted more than $2 billion meant for other health initiatives toward covering the cost of caring for unaccompanied immigrant children,” Politico reported May 15. The article continued:

The redirected funds include $850 million that Congress originally allocated to rebuild the nation’s Strategic National Stockpile, the emergency medical reserve strained by the Covid-19 response. Another $850 million is being taken from a pot intended to help expand coronavirus testing, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.

In addition to transferring money from the Strategic National Stockpile and Covid-19 testing, HHS also has pulled roughly $436 million from a range of existing health initiatives across the department.

The program costs are expected to reach almost $9 billion by October according to a leaked report in the New York Times.

The transfer of funding to the growing population of more than 50,000 foreign children and youths means fewer resources for lower-profile American kids, as their diverse American parents are damaged by the Chinese virus, cheap labor migration, job losses, housing costs, drugs, or homelessness.

The Politico report follows the leak of a government report to the May 10 New York Times.  The leaked report showed how the HHS agency expects to spend almost $9 billion by October to implement Biden’s decision to import the youths and children of U.S.-based illegal migrants.

“Current projections show [a] preliminary budget estimate of $8.6b for FY21,” said the briefing for officials in HHS. It continued:

With existing resources, a shortfall (of 366m) occurs in May and grows quickly through July with an overall project shortfall in excess of $4 billion

OMB approved an additional transfer from HHS resources to the UC [UAC] programing the amount of $850 million this week. This funding is not reflecting in this morning balance — will be added once [the] execution process is complete. There may be [an] additional $846.5 million available in future weeks. This will mitigate but not fully resolve the project budget shortfall.

The HHS spending does not including spending — or diverted resources — at other agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) and Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) are the top Republicans on the panels overseeing federal spending at HHS and the DHS. Their offices did not respond to emails from Breitbart News.

Since January, roughly 50,000 youths and children have been accepted at the border by the government-run program, which replaced President Donald Trump’s policy of flying the youths and children back to their homes in Central America.

Biden declined to use the judge-approved option of flying the arriving youths and children back to their distant homes. Strong majorities of swing voters blame Biden, not Trump, for the unpopular migration crisis.

“The $2.13 billion in diverted money exceeds the government’s annual budget for the unaccompanied children program in each of the last two fiscal years,” Politico reported.

But the overall migration is an economic stimulus for Biden’s business donors because the migrants inflate rents and stimulate federal, state, and local spending.

Most of the 50,000 “children” are actually older teenage boys, many of whom will take jobs at low wages to repay their smuggling debts and support relatives in Central American countries.

But even children are an economic stimulus for Biden’s business donors because they inflate rents and because they stimulate federal, state, and local spending, for example, on K-12 education programs.

Biden’s delivery of the incoming youths and children also helps to keep their illegal migrant parents in the United States amid pressure from their distant families to return home.  For example, a New York Times May 6 report noted 51 percent of the UACs released in the prior week were handed over to parents or step-parents. Another 38 percent were handed over to immediate relatives, some of whom may have been fronting for nearby illegal migrant parents who declined to come forward.

May 13 tweet by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) cited federal data for 1029 that said 79 percent of sponsors were “without [legal] status.”

The migration also creates a new generation of illegal migrants for business groups and progressive Democrats to champion instead of poor or disadvantaged Americans, just as Democrats now cheerlead for the “DACA” illegals.

Biden’s policy is being implemented by Alejandro Mayorkas, a Cuban-born child refugee who runs the Department of Homeland Security. Mayorkas frequently claims the United States is a “Nation of Immigrants,” not of Americans. He frequently argues the nation’s values require Americans to accept many migrants, poor or rich, old or young, as if there is no economic or civic cost to Americans from the inflow of foreign migrants.

The federal delivery of children to their illegal migrant parents, after their handoff at the border by cartel-controlled coyotes, has been an open secret in Washington, DC, for at least six years.

The secret federal cooperation with the coyotes and the cartels stopped when President Donald Trump used his emergency authority in 2020 to send the migrants home when they arrived at the border.  The cooperation has been accelerated by President Biden as his deputies seek to extract more wage-cutting workers, taxpayer-supported consumers, and high-occupancy renters from Central American into the United States.

“We’re complicit as a nation in human trafficking,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said at a March 26 press conference in Texas with 17 other GOP senators.

Biden’s HHS Nominee Does Not Rule Out Taxpayer-Funded Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

 JOHN BINDER

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, dodged a question on whether he would push to provide American taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits to illegal aliens.

This week, during a hearing before the Senate Finance Committee, Becerra was asked by Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) about his previous support for decriminalizing illegal immigration and providing illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits.

Becerra, though, dodged the question by saying he would follow the parameters of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, which he said allows “very rare” cases of illegal aliens to receive benefits.

The exchange went as follows:

DAINES: You’re on record for pushing for allowing illegal immigrants to receive taxpayer-funded healthcare and for decriminalizing illegal entry into the United States. This coupled with President Biden’s radical plan for granting citizenship to those who are here illegally would potentially lead to hundreds of thousands, if not potentially millions, more people flooding into our country. [Emphasis added]

As you know, in 2016, California passed a law requiring covered Californians to apply for … waivers to allow illegal immigrants to purchase health insurance in the marketplace. This waiver was withdrawn after President Trump’s election. [Emphasis added]

My question is this: Will you attempt to use the waiver authority contained in the Affordable Care Act to grant healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants? [Emphasis added]

BECERRA: Senator, I can tell you that where the law, as it stands now as I see it, it does not allow those who are unauthorized in this country to receive taxpayer-paid benefits except in very rare circumstances and it will be my job to make sure that we are following and enforcing the law. And I can commit to you that that is what we will do. [Emphasis added]

In a letter to Biden, 11 Senate Republicans and 64 House Republicans asked the president to withdraw Becerra’s nomination to be HHS Secretary, citing his support for taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits for illegal aliens, among other issues.

“Mr. Becerra seeks to decriminalize illegal immigration, which would extend expensive government benefits like Medicaid to anyone who illegally crosses our borders,” the letter states.

A Politico report this week suggested Becerra is eyeing plans to provide illegal aliens with taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits should he lead HHS.

“He’s one of those individuals that had exceedingly deep convictions about the need to cover the undocumented individuals in all of our communities,” former Rep. Charles Gonzalez (D-TX) told Politico of Becerra.

Should Becerra become HHS Secretary, he could let illegal aliens onto Obamacare exchanges while pressuring states to pursue similar policies to those in California. Likewise, Becerra could open Obamacare exchanges to particular subgroups of illegal aliens, like those enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

As Breitbart News reported, forcing taxpayers to provide healthcare to all illegal aliens would cost citizens anywhere between $23 billion to $66 billion every single year — potentially a $660 billion bill for taxpayers every decade, without adjusting for inflation and the increasing number of illegal aliens.

Cost is only the first issue facing taxpayers. Medical experts have admitted providing healthcare to illegal aliens would ensure a never-ending flood of illegal aliens arriving at the southern border with “serious health problems” and local hospitals would have to cover the costs.

Already, taxpayers are forced to subsidize about $18.5 billion of yearly medical costs for illegal aliens living in the U.S., according to estimates by Chris Conover, formerly of the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research at Duke University.

When U.S. voters were polled by CNN on the issue in July 2019, nearly 6-in-10 said they were opposed to such a policy, including 63 percent of swing voters and 61 percent of self-described “moderates.”

Why is Biden releasing thousands of Covid-positive migrants into the country?

By Patricia McCarthy

The answer to that question may be in his absurd speech on Thursday when he said “we may have to reinstate the lockdown restrictions” if… If what?  What if the migrants the Biden Administration is allowing to come across the southern border without being tested, even if showing symptoms, then given bus tickets to any American city they hope to reach, is a grand plan to spread this flu throughout the country again in order to reinstate all the unconstitutional restrictions to which millions of Americans willingly submitted?  Chances are that the powers that be never dreamed so many people would give up their freedom to work, shop, eat, go to movies, vacation, have their kids in school, etc. without a fuss… but they did.

The carefully calculated, thoroughly propagandistic fearmongering the media has done over the past year in service of the left was embarrassingly effective.  Too many Americans have lost the ability to question authority and have accepted the covid “mandates” as if we are all subjects of a benevolent oligarchy.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  This past year has been about several things:

(1) defeat Trump by any means necessary, no matter how illegal;

(2) use this flu, a variation of Sars-2 to do it;

(3) convince the citizens of the world that this flu is a death sentence so they will comply with any and all restrictions on their basic freedoms;

(4) proscribe any and all existing effective treatments for this flu – HCQ, Ivermectin, for example, both inexpensive and widely available;

(5) make disobeying any of the mandated restrictions a crime; maskless people and those who choose not to be vaccinated, must be rendered outcasts and/or criminals.  That pretty much sums up where we are today.

The left thinks it has won and it seems perhaps they have but as usual they are overstepping.  So jubilant at their bare majority in the House and Senate, they seem to think they’ve achieved power in perpetuity.  They successfully rigged the 2020 election, blatantly, and got away with it.  If they pass their HR-1, the “election reform” bill, they will have cemented vote fraud in stone.  That’s their plan.

And how easy it will be since they have at least half the population scared to death of a manipulated seasonal flu, ready to cower in self-quarantine to survive.  The teachers’ unions have successfully won billions of dollars in “covid relief” without ever having to go back to work.  They want to make virtual school the new normal!

And these are the people, like the ever-invidious Nancy Pelosi who are always claiming their every move is “for the children.”  Yeah. Right.  They could not care less about anyone’s children but their own.  They’ve proven that over and over and over again.

At this moment they are importing hundreds of thousands of migrants from all over the world through the now porous southern border that Trump had gained control of, many of them with Covid.

They desperately want to re-impose all the lockdown restrictions.  They are drunk with power over our daily lives.

But here’s the thing!  Covid is no death sentence.  It is preventable and treatable with inexpensive drugs that have been around for decades.  The vaccine is unnecessary.  They are not even vaccines in the true sense of that word.  These vaccines are actually “hacking the software of life.”  Masks are unnecessary and actually dangerous. The lockdowns were just a purposeful power grab to punish all the small businesses who the left assumed supported President Trump who had so successfully energized the economy.

They are basking in their success at stealing the election, putting millions of Trump supporters out of business.  They’ve further ramped up racial divisions even beyond Obama’s wildest dreams and thoroughly tanked the economies of California and New York.

China, the “man behind the curtain” of all of this, is laughing its way to global domination with the obedient acquiescence of the Biden administration and his party that is clearly willing to sell out the United States for their own personal financial gain.

Biden, or whoever is calling the administration’s shots, is sending migrants into the vast reaches of the American interior on purpose.  It’s part of their plan to create a new covid surge so they can then shut us all down again.  Will we the people stand for a replay of what was an effective coup d’etat?

As the Democrats plot to disarm those of us who revere the Second Amendment, they may be skating on thin ice, overplaying their ill-gotten hand.  But their agenda is obvious.  The handwriting is on the wall people.  The leftists have a plan and they are sticking to it.  Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country.

House Democrats Urge Joe Biden to Give Obamacare to DACA Recipients

JOHN BINDER

Almost half of cancer patients in the US deplete entire life assets by second year of treatment

After a colon cancer diagnosis, Deb Genetin, a 57-year-old resident of Springfield, Ohio, just outside Dayton, was denied a life-saving surgery at Mercy Health hospital because, in the words of the hospital, her “financing wasn’t in place.” Genetin has not had health insurance in 10 years and makes only $20,000 a year as an administrative assistant in a law firm.

Last month, Genetin told the Times-Reporter, “They never told me how much money they needed, how much money I had to come up with. It was just a ‘No.’” Genetin had previously applied for financial aid through Mercy Health but was rejected. Genetin then sought cheaper care at Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital, where she received the necessary surgery.

While Genetin is currently cancer-free and now has health insurance, she is struggling to both meet her payments and pay off medical debt. “I had to drop my hours and my income to get [health insurance] and now I struggle to pay the house payment,” she told reporters.

Genetin is one of thousands of cancer patients in the United States who struggle to afford adequate treatment. In the last decade, researchers and physicians have begun to further explore the patient-level financial and health consequences of high-cost cancer treatment.

A 2018 study from the American Journal of Medicine (AJM), titled “ Death or Debt? National Estimates of Financial Toxicity in Persons with Newly-Diagnosed Cancer, ” evaluate d the extent of financial damage caused by a cancer diagnoses in the United States. The study ’ s large sample size of 9.5 million is a significant extension of previous studies that gathered data on a smaller or state level. The data was pulled from the Health and Retirement Study sponsored by the National Institute on Aging and Social Security Administration. Data was collected from 1998 to 2014 on people over 50 years old.

Inclusion criteria for the AJM study involved new cancer diagnoses of any type excluding minor skin cancer. Based on the year of diagnosis, a baseline financial value was gathered from two years before the diagnosis to act as a control. The trajectory of the patient’s finances was examined at two years and four years following the initial diagnosis. Changes in the patient’s net worth were calculated based on total wealth, a figure including assets and properties and subtracting debts such as mortgages and consumer debt.

The study found that 42.4 percent of the 9,527,522 new diagnoses of cancer between 2000 and 2012 had lost their entire life’s assets by year two. A further thirty-eight percent had depleted their life assets by year four. The average net worth by year two was $92,098, depleted from the average initial net worth of $644,031.

Large decreases of net worth were seen among those with both worsening and improving cancer status. The largest overall decreases were seen in patients over 75 years old with an average loss of $115,000. Comorbidities such as hypertension, current smoker, and lung disease increased the odds of total net worth depletion. Those with Medicaid as compared to private insurance were independently associated with financial losses at year two and four.

This is not a new phenomenon. In 2013, cancer physicians and researchers wrote a two-part manuscript, “Financial Toxicity: A New Name for a Growing Problem” in which they coined a new term, “Financial Toxicity,” to describe the patient-level financial impact of cancer care. The term encompasses both the objective financial burden on the individual and society as well as the subjective experience of financial strain during a period of illness and healing. The inclusion of the word “toxicity” in the term is carefully chosen, as researchers have found that the financial stress of cancer treatment is a risk factor for mortality.

In a study titled “Financial Insolvency as a Risk Factor for Early Mortality Among Patients With Cancer” published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2016, authors Scott D. Ramsey, Aasthaa Bansal and Polly Newcomb linked cancer registry records with federal bankruptcy records. A previous study by the same researchers showed that individuals with cancer are two and a half times more likely to file for bankruptcy compared to those without cancer. With this knowledge, the results of the 2016 study are all the more shocking.

While results varied based on the type of cancer, those who filed for bankruptcy after a diagnosis of breast, lung, colorectal or prostate cancer had significantly higher mortality rates. Patients suffering from prostate cancer who filed for bankruptcy were twice as likely to die. The risk of mortality was 2.5 times as high among patients with colorectal cancer who filed for bankruptcy compared to those who did not. While bankruptcy is at the extreme end of financial desperation, other studies have also found an association between high out-of-pocket costs and poor clinical outcomes.

There is no one reason for the correlation between financial toxicity and poor clinical outcomes. Financial insecurity may lead patients to seek out underfunded hospitals where risks of infection or medical errors may be higher. Patients may skip doses of medications or cut pills in half to stretch their prescriptions, in some cases resulting in subtherapeutic, and thereby insufficient, blood levels of medications.

Patients forced to handle large out-of-pocket costs are also more likely to forgo or delay necessary treatments. Cancer patients often work longer hours or cancel vacations to cover medical expenses sacrificing periods of rest and putting undue stress on their bodies during a period of healing. Many lose their jobs after long hospitalizations, or cannot work due to lowered immune systems or fatigue, further dragging them into debt and financial distress. For many, extra expenses for healthy food or even safe, comfortable housing is cut in order to pay for treatment.

In the US, cancer is one of the most expensive diseases to treat, second only to heart disease.

According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), many chemotherapy agents cost more than $10,000 a month. Many treatment regimens require multiple chemotherapy drugs working in tandem, increasing the cost two- or threefold. And the cost is growing as new pharmacological breakthroughs and treatments carry impossible price tags.

Immunotherapy, for example, is a groundbreaking new treatment that activates the body’s immune system to fight cancer cells. It has been approved in the US and elsewhere as a first-line treatment for many types of cancer. While typical chemotherapy kills all cells, immunotherapy is more precise, sparing healthy cells resulting in fewer side effects and a higher quality of life during treatment. Immunotherapy also capitalizes on the immune system’s ability to continuously adapt in order to kill even the most rapidly changing cancer cells. Relapse rates are reduced with immunotherapy because the immune system has “memory,” and it can remember cancerous cells and fight them if the cancer returns.

While the development of immunotherapy is a result of decades of scientific research across the world—most of which took place in publicly funded institutions—the final, packaged, life-saving product, is only available to a select few. Without insurance, immunotherapy costs roughly $100,000 per person when taken for a year. Like chemotherapy, immunotherapy is often used in combination, which doubles or triples the cost. One immunotherapy agent, named Kymriah, used as a one-time dose to treat refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, costs $475,000.

Recent lawsuits against major pharmaceutical companies have shown that the cost of high-priced drugs are not simply a product of research and development—as companies claim—nor are the profits they generate used to fund future innovation. Instead, profits are funneled into stock buybacks, boosting the company’s stock profiles and increasing the wealth of the executives.

Even with private insurance, many patients are denied coverage for immunotherapy or forced to cover up to 25 percent of the cost. Furthermore, drug costs are just one aspect of cancer treatment. Hospitalization, teams of specialists, new advancements in imaging, surgery and radiotherapy collectively contribute to a systemic rise in cancer treatment cost that shoots past the rate of inflation. At the same time, average deductible costs for job-based health insurance have increased from $376 in 2006 to $1,300 in 2019. In a country where 70 percent of people live paycheck-to-paycheck, a single overnight stay in the hospital could deplete a family’s savings.

Young adults, while less likely to be diagnosed with cancer, face an even higher chance of financial ruin after diagnoses. With insufficient savings accounts, student debt, lower-income jobs and lack of eligibility for Medicare, young adult cancer survivors begin their lives buried in debt, many relying on crowdsourcing websites like GoFundMe or private charities to stay afloat.

The upsurge in research on the financial impact of cancer treatment has spurred many health care workers to advocate for screening patients for financial toxicity as well as initiating open conversations about the financial stress of treatment. However, aside from connecting patients with resources like private charities that cover a limited portion of treatment costs, conversations and awareness about financial toxicity are not a solution, as the problem finds its source in the capitalist system and the historic levels of social inequality that it has produced. Among rich and middle-income countries, the US has some of largest income-related disparities in health care. In the face of a cancer diagnosis, this translates directly to financial ruin and higher mortality among poor and working-class Americans.

Healthcare access has declined in past two decades, despite Obamacare: Study

by Cassidy Morrison

Financial access to healthcare services has declined over the past two decades, despite the implementation of Obamacare and other government insurance programs, according to a new study.

The analysis, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, traces the drop in access to the rise in premiums, deductibles, co-pays, and other costs, which have weighed against higher insurance coverage. It concludes that "over the past 20 years, the proportion of adults aged 18 to 64 years unable to see a physician owing to cost increased, mostly because of an increase among persons with insurance."

The authors, three doctors, interpret the results as evidence in favor of government-financed healthcare.

“With private insurance, we’ve seen significant worsening in the amount that patients are expected to pay, like premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, co-insurance, and co-pays,” said Dr. Laura Hawks, a researcher at Harvard Medical School and co-author of the report.

The study finds that the share of insured adults who had trouble affording the cost of seeing a physician increased from 7.1% to 11.5% between 1998 and 2017. Meanwhile, insured people with chronic health conditions struggled frequently to pay for visits to specialists. About 1 in 5 patients with a chronic medical condition, such as diabetes or heart disease, said they could not see a doctor because of high costs. In 2017, for instance, the proportion of insured people who have chronic conditions, including heart disease, yet were unable to afford a visit to the doctor was 6.9 percentage points higher than in 1998.

The decline in access has occurred even though health insurance coverage has risen, from 83.1% in 1998 to 85.2% in 2017.

Hawks said government-run health plans, such as Medicaid, give people higher-quality coverage because they lack the same cost-sharing measures as private plans, including premiums and deductibles, that restrict access to health services.

“Our interpretation Is that the increased cost-sharing that’s required for private insurance companies to exist is the reason for these rising costs,” Hawks said. “So, if we were to reform the healthcare system, we’d want it to be universal as well as comprehensive, and the only way we could accomplish this is through a single-payer insurance system.”

Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have each proposed Medicare for All healthcare plans, which would eliminate all premiums, deductibles, and co-pays by enrolling everyone living in the United States into a government plan.

Democrats and President Barack Obama enacted Obamacare to provide access to private health insurance for people who did not have employer-provided or government insurance plans. The law did improve access, according to the study. However, a single middle-class earner making about $48,000 or more annually makes too much money to qualify for tax subsidies for premiums, making a private plan through the Obamacare marketplace too expensive for individuals and families.

One of the study's authors, Dr. David Himmelstein, a public health policy professor at the City University of New York and a supporter of “Medicare for all," said Obamacare accomplished a lot but came up short.

“The study is an endorsement of the fact that we need more reform of the healthcare system, but it doesn’t suggest a specific reform,” Himmelstein said. “What it says about [Obamacare] is that it brought more people into the system, but it didn’t fix the system.”

Bottom line, all of these new services for illegal border crossers are bonanzas, not just for the NGOs who benefit, they are benefits for human smuggling rackets, who can now advertise these wares as part of their illegal alien benefit packages and use the news of them to draw more business. Biden is helping that bunch ultimately with these free-hotel contracts even Americans in distress don't get. Cartels will use this incentive to drum up more business.

Biden Hollows Out Trump-Era COVID Protections at the Border

Memo: Biden admin plans to team with migrant advocates to 'streamline' border admission

The Biden administration is preparing to gut COVID-19 safety restrictions on illegal immigrants and asylum seekers and essentially reverse the Trump administration’s pandemic health protections without public notice, according to documents circulating within U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

While the Trump administration took a hardline approach to turning away immigrants to avoid "a serious danger of introduction of [a communicable] disease," at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Customs and Border Protection is now quietly walking much of that guidance back. A May memo, reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, highlighted a potential work-around of the safety measures. The memo, authored by senior staff at CBP, emphasizes the ability of "customs officers [to] determine [who] should be allowed into the United States."

Customs and Border Protection officials say the Biden administration is looking to liberally interpret that provision, which was initially meant for migrants with extenuating circumstances related to humanitarian concerns or political repression. Broadening the humanitarian exemption would constitute a de facto reversal of the Trump administration’s guidance on limiting migration into the country. The shift in policy would come as border patrol agents encountered 178,622 migrants in April, among the highest-trafficked months on record.

"They’re keeping in place Trump’s order while broadening it enough to please left-wing activists," a senior Customs and Border Protection official told the Free Beacon. "If they rescind Title 42, they can’t deport single men."

The memo says the federal officials "will be relying" on immigrant-related, nongovernmental organizations "to identify undocumented individuals potentially amenable to be exempted on humanitarian grounds." Customs and Border Protection officials say essentially outsourcing immigration processing to NGOs could flood the country with migrants, many of whom never attend their immigration court hearings. Critics say activists from border organizations like the United Nations Refugee Agency and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society coach migrants on how to gain asylum status, rather than seek out the most vulnerable.

Trump invoked Title 42, a little known provision that enables the executive branch to curtail border crossings during a public health crisis, in a March 2020 executive order. Left-wing advocacy groups call Title 42 a violation of international human rights treaties and have demanded the Biden administration reverse his predecessor’s invocation of it. The Biden administration claims the "streamlined" process of admitting immigrants will combat COVID-19 by reducing "the amount of time undocumented individuals spend in congregate settings, thereby reducing the risk of COVID-19."

Using an expansive view of the pandemic exemptions and partnering with NGOs will ensure that more illegal immigrants and asylum seekers will enter the country, according to the senior CBP official.

"What the Biden administration is doing is giving them the ability to play both sides," the official said.

President Biden fulfilled a campaign promise by publicly instituting Title 42 exemptions for all migrant children, a decision many have blamed for the surge of unaccompanied minors at the southern border. Border agents could soon face a secondary surge—broad humanitarian exemptions would allow most families and children to claim asylum, regardless of whether they test positive for COVID-19 or other diseases. Single men, Customs and Border Protection officials say, would likely still face deportation unless they say they fear for their safety in their home country.

The release of the memo comes as border patrol agents increasingly see what the New York Times dubbed "pandemic refugees" from countries as far away as India on the southern border. April numbers released by the government showed 30 percent of families found on the border came from countries other than Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador—a 22.5 percent increase from April 2019.
