Pelosi: DACA Illegals Are ‘True and Legitimate Heirs’ of the Founding Fathers

The illegal migrants brought to the United States by their illegal migrant parents “are true and legitimate heirs … of our founders,” House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said in a Thursday speech on the House floor.

Pelosi made her claims as Democrats prepared to vote through an amnesty for at least three million migrants who are now labeled under several categories. They include the many illegals who were brought to the United States as children by their parents. Democrats refer to the child-arrivals as “dreamers,” even though Americans are also dreamers.

Pelosi said:

This legislation is protecting “dreamers,” and TPS [Temporary Protected Status] and DED [Deferred Enforced Departure] recipients, honors the truth that immigrants are the constant reinvigoration of our country.

When they come here with their hopes and dreams and aspirations, these parents bringing their children, their hopes and dreams and aspirations for a better future for their children, that courage, that determination, those aspirations, are American traits, and they all make America more American, with all of that.

Indeed they are true and legitimate heirs, these dreamers are, of our founders. E Pluribus Unum, from many one, we talk about that all the time.

Pelosi continued to praise illegal migrants while ignoring the dreams and aspirations of Americans, as well as the needs of the 17 million unemployed Americans:

They’re our teachers, they’re our professionals. They’re our CEOs. They’re entrepreneurs, they contribute to our community in every way …

Millions of Americans have come together to organize and mobilize for dreamers: Labor leaders, business community, faith organizations, national security officials, law enforcement, more and more. …

The true VIPs of the moment, are the dreamers and immigrants who have spoken out with great dignity and eloquence, refusing to be forced back into the shadow.

The praise for illegals echoes the progressive view that America is not a homeland for American citizens, but is instead only an idea, or only a “Nation of Immigrants” that is open to any foreigner, regardless of what ordinary Americans prefer. The view is increasingly pushed by wealthy Americans, in part, because it boosts their stock market wealth with additional cheap workers, consumers, and renters.

Pelosi’s pitch matches the recommendations of business-funded pro-amnesty pollsters. On March 10, Breitbart News reported the pollsters’ advice to Democrats who are worried about voting for the amnesties amid public opposition:

It is better to focus on all of the aforementioned sympathetic details of those affected [by an amnesty] than to make economic arguments, including arguments about wages or demand for labor. As we have seen in the past, talking about immigrants doing jobs Americans won’t do is not a helpful frame, and other economic arguments are less effective than what is recommended above.

Pelosi continued:

Again, dreamers, TPS, DED recipients are American in every way. They have lived and worked in our country for decades, if not their entire lives, and they are integral threads in the fabric of our nation … Dreamers power our businesses, our economy, our CEOs, and taxpayers — all of them do. They advance innovation in America’s technological edge as entrepreneurs and researchers. They protect our national security and military might and service members and civilian experts.

So many of the frontline of the pandemic [are illegals] — first responders transportation sanitation, food workers, our teachers, our teachers, our teachers. There’s so much of our country.

These [illegal] immigrant communities strengthen, enrich, and ennoble our nation, and they must be allowed to stay.

Pelosi quoted the 1987 exit speech by President Ronald Reagan, who later revealed that he learned to regret his support for the 1986 amnesty:

I always love to quote President Reagan in his last speech as President of the United States. His last speech — this is his last message as President to the American people. He said, “Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we’re a nation for every young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge, always leading the world into the next frontier. This quality is vital to the future, our future as a nation. If we ever close the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost.”

With that, I urge a bipartisan vote and yield back the balance of my time.

For years, a wide variety of pollsters have shown deep and broad American opposition to legal migrationlabor migration, and to the inflow of temporary contract workers into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.

The multiracialcross-sexnon-racistclass-basedintra-Democratic, and solidarity-themed opposition to labor migration coexists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory — despite the media magnification of many skewed polls and articles that still push the 1950s corporate “Nation of Immigrants” claim.

The deep public opposition is built on the widespread recognition that migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Analysis: 4.4M Illegal Aliens Could Get Amnesty Under House Democrat Plan

An estimated 4.4 million illegal aliens of the roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the United States could get amnesty under a Democrat plan passed in the House on Thursday.

The Democrats’ H.R. 6, known as the “American Dream and Promise Act of 2021,” will go before the House for a vote — providing amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, allowing them to legally enter the U.S. labor market as nearly 17 million Americans remain jobless.

The analysis, conducted by the Migration Policy Institute, estimates that about 2.5 million illegal aliens considered eligible for former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and nearly 400,000 foreign nationals on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) would be put on a path to obtaining green cards and American citizenship thanks to the plan.

All 218 House Democrats voted to support the amnesty with nine House Republicans joining them, including:

  • Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE)
  • Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL)
  • Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA)
  • Rep. David Valadao (R-CA)
  • Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI)
  • Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)
  • Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ)
  • Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL)
  • Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL)

Apple CEO Tim Cook, the architect of the multinational corporation’s China outsourcing scheme, urged lawmakers to pass the amnesty to benefit hundreds of illegal aliens who work for the tech conglomerate.

Already, the U.S. admits about 1.2 million legal immigrants a year and awards them green cards to permanently resettle in the country. In addition, 1.4 million foreign nationals are given visas to work in the U.S. annually while hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens arrive at the southern border.

The amnesty is widely opposed by Republican voters and conservatives, as well as majorities of working class voters and swing voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports found that 56 percent of college dropouts said they opposed the amnesty along with 54 percent of voters with only a high school diploma.

Among Republicans, 72 percent said they oppose the amnesty and conservatives said by a 77 percent majority that they oppose the amnesty.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has repeatedly noted that mass immigration cuts Americans’ wages.

In 2013, CBO analysis stated that the “Gang of Eight” amnesty plan would “slightly” push down wages for the American workers. A 2020 CBO analysis stated that “immigration has exerted downward pressure on the wages of relatively low-skilled workers who are already in the country, regardless of their birthplace.”

President Joe Biden’s nominee for Associate Attorney General, Vanita Gupta, owns between $11 million and $55 million of stock in her father’s company that sold acetic anhydride to Mexican cartels, which is used to make “high-grade ‘china white’ heroin and methamphetamine,” according to reports.

However, when Biden campaigned for president, his platform stated he would “hold accountable big Pharma companies, executives, and others responsible for their role in triggering the opioid crisis.” Noting that he intends to “[d]irect the U.S. Justice Department to make actions that spurred this crisis a top investigative and, where appropriate, civil and criminal enforcement priority.”

“Biden’s campaign vowed to hold companies accountable for their roles in the opioid crises, but now one of his Justice Department nominees is linked to a firm whose product was reportedly sold to Mexican drug cartels.”https://t.co/XA1IZYzG06

Raj Gupta, father of Vanita Gupta and chairman of a company named Avantor, has stopped selling “acetic anhydride in Mexico, as the country’s authorities announced a criminal investigation,” according to Fox Business.

Vanita Gupta has agreed not to engage with her father’s business.

Gupta’s nomination hearing was on March 9, when Sen. Ted Cruz posed questions to her on gun rights, abortion, and religious liberty – subjects on which she had previously voiced her views. “On every issue, Gupta evaded the question about her own views, saying that she would only apply the law of the land,” Joel B Pollak reported for Breitbart News.

Border Patrol Council President: Criminal Cartels Generated $400 Million in Profit in February Alone

(CNSNews.com) - Illegal immigrants pay criminal cartels $4,000 to help them illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border, which at over 100,000 apprehensions in February, amounts to a $400 million profit last month alone, National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said Tuesday.

In an interview with C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal,”Judd pointed to comments made by Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas), who accompanied GOP congressmen during a visit to the border last week.

“And just to give you an idea of the type of profit, on average, and this was from Congressman Cuellar. This was on Friday. Congressman Cuellar said that on average, the illegal border crossings, the normal illegal border crosser pays about $4000 to the criminal cartels to cross into the U.S.,” Judd said.

“That doesn’t matter whether they get apprehended or not. They pay $4000. Over 100,000 apprehensions. That means criminal cartels generated over $400 million in profit in the month of February alone. That is an astronomical number,” he said.

Judd said that this is the “quickest surge” he’s seen in his 24-year career, and that the problem isn’t necessarily the amount of people crossing the border, it’s the pace at which people are crossing the border in such a short period of time.

“We’ve dealt with numbers like this in the past. The numbers are not necessarily what is concerning. It is how fast the numbers continue to rise. In less than a month and a half, we’ve seen numbers rise from less than 100,000 apprehensions in a month to over 100,000 apprehensions in a month, and so that’s extremely concerning,” he said.

“What that does is that puts extreme pressure on our resources. When we apprehend a group, we have to take that group back to our processing facilities, which pulls agents out of the field,” the National Border Patrol Council president said.

“When we have such a huge influx, we are pulling too many of our agents out of the field, and what that does is that creates gaps in our coverage on the border, and that allows criminal cartels to exploit that coverage, and they are able to cross their higher value products, such as opioids, cocaine, criminal aliens, aliens from special interest countries,” Judd said.

“So this creates a serious security issue, and it’s strictly driven by the cartels crossing women and children, unaccompanied minors, all of these different things that tie our hands up and allows them to generate profit,” he said.

Rep. John Katko: People on the Terror Watch List Caught Coming Across the Border in Last Few Days

(CNSNews.com) – A delegation of Republican lawmakers toured an immigration detention facility in El Paso, Texas, on Monday, and they found that people who were on the terrorist watch list were being housed at the facility.

“People they've caught in the last few days over there in sector three or monument three have been on the terror watch list. Individuals that they have on the watch list for terrorism are now starting to exploit the southern border," said Rep. John Katko (R-N.Y.), who serves on the Homeland Security Committee.

"We need to wake up," he said.

Katko served as a federal crime prosecutor in the 90s and was charged with going at the drug cartels.

“I had a fundamental understanding then, and I do now that the cartels know when to exploit that southern border, and they are doing it now masterfully. They are doing it, because President Biden rolled back a lot of the previous administrative orders that were working,” he said.

The congressman criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for blaming the Trump administration for the increase in illegal border crossings.

“One of the perhaps most reprehensible things I’ve heard in a long time is Nancy Pelosi and some in the administration saying that this is caused by a pent-up demand from the previous administration. There is always a pent-up demand for crime. Crossing the border illegally is illegal, and so we shouldn't accommodate that pent-up demand, and they seem to be signaling that we should,” he said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Monday that there were more Haitians in the facility than any other nationality that he saw.

“When you talk about what’s coming across, I just left a few Border agents, and I asked them, ‘who are the individuals you’re catching?’ Yeah, they are from Central America, but you know who else? Iran, Yemen, Sri Lanka. As I walked through the facility, there are more Haitians than any other nationality I saw. Why were they coming now? You asked the Border agents,” McCarthy said.

“They were shocked themselves, because they’re being released into the country. When I talk to the doctor to see when they’re being tested for COVID - when they get out. More than 10% are testing positive, but you’re being stored together. At a time when the president will keep our country closed when maybe we have hope for the 4th of July to get together just with our family, how much spread of COVID is he creating every single day by his policies along this border,” he said.

Katko said that the trip confirmed for him that “there is indeed disorder at the border by executive order.”

The congressman said that the detention facility they visited cost $48 million to build.

“They are spending tens of thousands of dollars a day just to feed this surge. They’re spending tens of thousand dollars more per day to clothe them and to transfer them. All this money is being taken apart away from the things we’re doing here in the country that can benefit our citizens,” Katko said.

“It is so bad from a financial standpoint for Border Patrol that, as Kevin alluded to, they are taking money from future payments down the road later in the year of Border Patrol salaries and Border Patrol pensions just to try and pay for the surge that's going on right now that was caused by this president. They are hoping for a supplemental, but if that supplemental doesn't come, I don't know how the heck we are going to pay these guys,” he said.

The congressman also echoed McCarthy’s statement about the migrants not being tested for COVID-19.

Another thing, they are not testing these individuals. We saw hundreds of hundreds of people in there today, and not one of them has had a COVID test, and they are transferring to other places without a COVID test. Border Patrol agents have only been inoculated 50-60% of them at the most.

So then we went over to monument three, right around the hill here, and we saw firsthand what was going on. Kevin alluded to what was going on, hundreds of people a day coming across. We saw gaps in the wall that made no sense. They were almost done, and on January 20th at midnight, they were instructed to stop and now we have vulnerabilities because of that and they are exploiting those vulnerabilities.

And perhaps worse than that,120 agents that guard that area that’s now vulnerable are being pulled away to go deal with, feed and clothe these kids coming across. By the way, when kids come across, if you don't think the drug traffickers are doing it, think again.

Most of them have a piece of tape across their shirt with instructions on who they are, where they’re going and what information to get them and what they need to do. It's very organized, and they’re paying a lot of money per child to get them across.

Katko called on Biden to admit he made a mistake with his immigration policy and go back to the way it was to “keep America safe for all of us.”

“Use that money that we’re wasting down here on our American citizens,” he said.

Texas Governor Blames Biden for Surge of Migrant Minors at Border, Seeks Access to Detainees

Texas Governor Greg Abbott in Dallas on Wednesday about the growing surge of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico. The governor directly blamed President Joe Biden’s open borders policies for the humanitarian crisis.

Governor Abbott spoke at a hotel located across the street from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas where FEMA is housing some 3,000 teenage boys ages 15 to 17. Breitbart Texas reported the teens would stay at the convention center for up to 90 days.

“These sites are a direct result of President Biden’s reckless open border policies that are causing a surge in crossings and cartel activity,” Abbott said. “The administration has yet to provide answers that Texans deserve.”

“U.S. Health and Human Services will open the center to take some of the strain off Border Patrol, which is not supposed to hold children for more than three days but has been forced to do so for much longer,” KXAN added. “At least 3,000 children had been in custody longer than that 72-hour limit.”

The Biden administration claims that it is sending adults and families back because of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coronavirus order but is allowing children — or mostly older teens — admission into the country.

The Austin NBC affiliate’s report continued:

According to Abbott, Biden’s administration needs to provide information on where these migrants have come from and a timeline of how long they’ll be in Texas/the U.S.

The governor said that so far this year, 11,000 minors have been apprehended crossing the border into Texas, which he claims is a 60% increase between January (which was under the Trump administration) and February.

“On Monday alone, the Border Patrol took in about 280 child migrants in the Rio Grande Valley sector. America needs to know how these children — some are young children — are coming across the border and who is it that is helping these children across the border,” the Texas governor explained.

Abbott added that he asked the Biden administration to allow Texas officials to interview minors being held at the facility. The governor also said he is expanding the Operation Lonestar program to combat human trafficking.

Abbott expressed concern that individuals entering the country could be ill, including those who may be infected with the coronavirus.

“Are they being tested for COVID?” Abbott asked. “And if so, how is the administration handling those who test positive?”

“Texas is willing to step up and help out,” the governor concluded. “But this is the Biden administration’s responsibility … the Biden administration has made it clear that if you are an unaccompanied child, you will be allowed to come into the United States.”

Five Democrats Flip-Flop to Allow Illegal Immigrant Gang Members to Get Amnesty

Five Democrats flip-flopped Thursday to allow illegal immigrant gang members to obtain amnesty through the American Dream and Promise Act.

Rep. Pete Stauber (R-MN), a former Duluth, Minnesota, police officer, offered a motion to recommit on H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise, a bill that would grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. The motion to recommit, if passed, would mandate that the bill go back to the committees of origin, and they would have to add Stauber’s amendment before it could come up for a floor vote again.

Stauber’s amendment would ensure that gang members could not receive amnesty under H.R. 6. Specifically, it would ensure that federal authorities could use state or federal data on their criminal history to deny an illegal immigrant’s amnesty petition. H.R. 6 does not allow federal authorities to do this.

Stauber’s amendment would also allow the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to deport illegal immigrant gang members.

Stauber said on the House floor Thursday:

I hear from these same families is there concern and fear for providing green cards and pass to citizenship to gang members and criminals. The text of this bill only compounds those fears. Preventing the United States government from using readily available information to remove gang members who are national security threats and other public safety threats.

This motion to recommit ensures that those individuals that applications would be denied on the basis of criminal grounds, national security grounds, public safety risks, or as gang members are considered by the Department of Homeland Security for removal from the United States.

Under H.R. 6, information provided in an application for a green card may not be used for the purpose of immigration enforcement – even if DHS denies the application or it’s withdrawn.

This means that if an applicant has a murder conviction, a rape conviction, or if the applicant is a gang member, and DHS knows about it because of the application, DHS can’t refer that person for removal.

If Democrats see fit to listen to the America people and exclude these criminals and gang members from receiving green cards under H.R.6, then they should vote for this Motion To Recommit to ensure those dangerous individuals are denied a safe haven here in our neighborhoods and communities where our children go to school and play.

Democrats blocked Stauber’s motion, with 203 Republicans in favor of the motion and 216 votes against the motion.

Republicans offered this motion last congressional term when Democrats brought up the American Dream and Promise Act.

Five Democrats, Reps. Angie Craig (D-MN), Jared Golden (D-ME), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Josh Harder (D-CA), and Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) voted in favor of the Republican motion in 2019.

On Thursday, all five Democrats voted against Stauber’s motion to ensure that gang members cannot receive amnesty.
