Pressure Mounts on Red State Attorneys General To Cut Ties With Left-Wing Law Firm
Push comes after Montana ends relationship with firm
Montana this month ended its relationship with a law firm that has deep ties to the Democratic Party, a victory for conservative legal figures pushing other red states to stop doing business with the firm.
The firm, Motley Rice LLC, has a healthy portfolio of red state clients, even though its partners have long histories of work for left-wing causes and have given millions of dollars to Democratic politicians. Conservative legal leaders are pushing other Republicans to follow Montana attorney general Austin Knudsen's lead and stop doing business with the stalwart Democratic outfit.
"I applaud Attorney General Knudsen's decision and I hope other states will follow his example," Carrie Severino, chief counsel of the Judicial Crisis Network, told the Washington Free Beacon. "Too many AGs are allowing leftwing trial lawyers to use the power of the government to enrich themselves and their liberal dark money allies at the expense of the rule of law."
Motley Rice is a nationwide plaintiffs' firm that specializes in class action lawsuits and impact cases. It is handling disputes related to asbestos exposure, the weed killer Paraquat, and the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, among other matters. The highly lucrative practice has helped notch settlements as high as $1 billion.
The firm's lawyers donate prodigiously to Democratic candidates. They've contributed just over $2 million to Democrats since 2016, a huge figure for a firm of about 100 lawyers. The lone Republican among the 25 top recipients of Motley Rice contributions is Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.). The firm is headquartered in Graham's state.
But even as firm lawyers chipped in about $10,000 for Graham's reelection in 2020, they gave over $54,000 to his Democratic challenger, Jaime Harrison, who is now the chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Firm lawyers also gave $127,000 to President Joe Biden's campaign. Motley Rice partner Joseph Rice hosted a fundraiser for Biden at his South Carolina home in February 2020. He's been mentioned as a candidate for an ambassadorship, a common reward for campaign bundlers.
All told, the firm's level of per-lawyer giving more closely resembles a Washington lobbying shop than a mid-sized plaintiffs' firm. Its total 2020 contributions are competitive with Perkins Coie, the firm that represents the Democratic Party and its most prominent members.
Knudsen terminated Montana's relationship with Motley Rice on May 14, according to a letter from his office obtained by the Free Beacon. The termination will take effect in September. His office said it wouldn't use taxpayer dollars to subsidize political groups that don't reflect the state's values.
"Attorney General Knudsen initiated a review of outside counsel contracts at the outset of his term to ensure Montana taxpayers are getting the best bang for their buck," Knudsen spokeswoman Emilee Cantrell told the Free Beacon. "We found that it was common practice for previous administrations to hand out millions to their liberal trial lawyer buddies, who then turn around and help fund left-wing political groups that Montanans oppose. We expect law firms we do business with to always work for the best interest of our state."
Motley Rice represents other red states, such as Kentucky and West Virginia, in litigation related to the opioid epidemic. A spokeswoman for Kentucky attorney general Daniel Cameron (R.) said Motley Rice was subcontracted by its primary outside counsel, another liberal plaintiffs' firm called Morgan & Morgan that gave about $2.4 million to Democrats in 2020 alone.
"Opioid manufacturers and distributors pumped billions of pills into the commonwealth, creating a public health and public safety crisis," Cameron spokeswoman Elizabeth Kuhn told the Free Beacon. "This litigation has no place for politics, it's too important for the people of Kentucky. Furthermore, Kentucky's procurement law is clear that it is illegal to award or not award contracts based on politics."
Other red states that have done business with Motley Rice on opioid-related matters include Alaska and South Carolina.
Motley Rice's long experience with opioid cases and multi-district litigation make it a natural candidate for any public client seeking a large damages award to offset the opioid epidemic's deadly toll. But Motley Rice isn't the only game in town, and the many alternatives on offer make the red state alliance with the firm especially curious.

“This was not because of difficulties in securing indictments or convictions. On the contrary, Attorney General Eric Holder told a Senate committee in March of 2013 that the Obama administration chose not to prosecute the big banks or their CEOs because to do so might “have a negative impact on the national economy.”

None of this surprises me. My decades living and working in the Bay Area meant I'd heard rumors for years saying everything that Kamala offered politically came through her relationship with Willie Brown, a brilliant California politician. Without Brown, she's nothing.

Report: Emails Show Ex-FBI Chief Gave $100,000 to Joe Biden’s Grandkid Trust, Seeking ‘Future Work’
Former FBI director Louis Freeh reportedly gave $100,000 to a trust for President Joe Biden’s grandchildren, seeking “some very good and profitable matters” with Biden, according to emails obtained by the New York Post.
The emails reportedly emanate from Hunter Biden’s water-damaged laptop and apparently show the gifts were made in April 2016, before Hunter Biden received an email from Freeh that he “would be delighted to do future work with you.”
The alleged emails show Freeh wrote on July 8, 2016, “I also spoke to Dad a few weeks ago and would like to explore with him some future work options. I believe that working together on these (and other legal) matters would be of value, fun, and rewarding.”
The emails also show Freeh wrote Hunter on March 12, 2017, saying he saw Hunter’s father, Joe Biden, walking back from church, noting, “I would still like to persuade him to associate with me and FSS—as we have some very good and profitable matters which he could enhance with minimal time.”
The New York Post reports the “initials FSS are an apparent reference to the law firm of Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, where Freeh, a former federal judge, was a partner at the time.”
One month later, more purported emails show Freeh wrote Hunter again. “As you know, our family foundation made a $100K contribution to Hallie’s children’s trust last year,” said Freeh in reference to “the gift he’d made to the trust for the children of Hunter’s late brother, Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015, and Beau’s wife, Hallie, with whom Hunter later had an affair.”
The same email shows that Freeh said he made an accounting error via an improper “foundation gift” that would be remedied by “a new $100k gift” upon being reimbursed by the foundation the $100,000.
Hunter Biden reportedly responded the same day, “Thanks so much and of course no burden at all. Speak to you soon.”
The FBI directory provides Freeh’s background:
Director Freeh served as an FBI special agent from 1975 to 1981 in the New York City Field Office and at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In 1981, he joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York as an Assistant United States Attorney. Subsequently, he held positions there as chief of the Organized Crime Unit, Deputy United States Attorney, and Associate United States Attorney.
During this time, Director Freeh was the lead prosecutor in the “Pizza Connection” case, the largest and most complex investigation ever undertaken at the time by the United States government.

Emails recovered from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop reveal that while Joe Biden was vice president, a trust for his grandchildren – the children of his late son Beau Biden – received a hundred thousand dollars from a foundation controlled by former FBI Director Louis Freeh, who was a lawyer for 3 corrupt foreign businessmen, later convicted and imprisoned. In the emails it is revealed that Freeh actually met with the sitting VP in 2016 "to explore with him some future work options," in addition to courting his son Hunter for collaboration.

Both the New York Post and the UK Daily Mail have published excerpts from the letters, though as of this writing, neither the Washington Post nor New York Times appear to have found the gift and emails worth mentioning.

The 71-year-old, who served as FBI director under Bill Clinton and George Bush, ran a consultancy firm with highly controversial clients including a now-jailed Malaysian prime minister who stole billions of dollars from his country, a Romanian real estate tycoon convicted of bribery, and a French-Israeli diamond magnate later convicted of bribery and a $145 million property graft.
Freeh, a former judge, emailed Joe's son Hunter Biden in 2016, revealing he had spoken with the Vice President and proposed that they work together on private ventures once Biden left office.
In July that year, in an email marked 'confidential and privileged', Freeh wrote to Hunter that he 'would be delighted to do future work with you.'
'I also spoke to Dad a few weeks ago and would like to explore with him some future work options,' Freeh said. 'I believe that working together on these (and other legal) matters would be of value, fun and rewarding.'
Freeh brought up the idea again a month later – and mentioned that he was working for the then-Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak, who was in the midst of a scandal over one of the world's biggest financial frauds, and was later sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2020.
'I would like to talk with you and Dad about working together next year,' Freeh wrote to Hunter.
One letter seems to indicate that’s the gift was to be refunded and re-donated so as to be able to qualify for tax-deductible status – meaning taxpayers subsidize the gift that weas made in the context of seeking business arrangements, as the NYP summarizes:
“As you know, our family foundation made a $100K contribution to Hallie’s children’s trust last year,” Freeh wrote on April 24, 2017.
But Freeh said that his accountants “now advise that since the grant did not go to a 501(c) organization, it was not a proper foundation gift” and that he planned to fix the situation by making “a new $100k gift” and having the trust “reimburse the foundation by paying it $100k.”

Clarice Feldman advises me that she can find nothing in the federal government’s policies regarding gifts to its employees that would require disclosure of a gift to grandchildren. Public Citizen’s review of rules for gifts to the president and vice president indicates in point ten:
Gifts to the President and Vice President. Both offices may accept any gift on his own behalf or on behalf of any family member, provided that such acceptance does not violate conflict of interest or anti-bribery laws, or the Constitution of the United States.
Was there any conflict of interest or bribery? I would guess that a quid pro quo would have to be proven to make a charge of bribery stick. AS for conflict of interest, again, I can’t see any specifics that would be involved.
What about gift taxes? Anything over $14,000 a year is subject to federal gift taxes. But did this gift qualify for tax exempt status after it was re-gifted? If not, the gift could have been structured to pay out $14,000 per year and avoid those taxes.
It appears that the relationship that was cemented with this six figure gift flourished, at least to the extent that Freeh joined the board of directors of the Beau Biden Foundation.
The entire situation reminds me of the old saying about DC that the problem about what’s going on is not so much what’s illegal, as what is perfectly legal.

Publisher to Pay Cuomo $5 Million for COVID Book Flop
'Luv Guv' inked multimillion-dollar deal while covering up nursing home deaths
Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D., N.Y.) will make $5 million for a book he wrote about his leadership during the coronavirus pandemic, while his administration hid the true number of nursing home deaths in the state.
Crown Publishing Group will pay Cuomo $5.12 million for American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic, according to his office. The New York governor was paid $3.12 million of that sum for the book in 2020, according to tax filings, of which he contributed $500,000 to charity and $1 million to a trust for his daughters. The remaining $2 million will be paid to him over the next two years.
Cuomo is under investigation by the New York attorney general's office for falsifying the number of coronavirus deaths in nursing homes in the state. An initial report by Attorney General Letitia James said the governor's administration undercounted the deaths by over 50 percent by hiding how many nursing home residents died in hospitals. According to the New York Times, Cuomo's aides also intervened on multiple occasions to obscure the true number of coronavirus deaths, stalling data from reaching state health officials and legislators.
The governor faced calls for his resignation in March in the wake of sexual harassment allegations. At least four women have now accused Cuomo of sexual impropriety, with one of them accusing him of groping her in the governor's mansion. He allegedly asked another when alone in his office if she "had ever been with an older man." He promised to "fully cooperate" with a review by the state attorney general's office into the matter and apologized for his behavior, but has rebuffed calls to resign.
Cuomo's book, which was published in October, has sold around 45,000 copies. In it, he claims criticism of his state's nursing home death toll was a "lie" concocted by "Trump people" and Fox News.

Democrats and their media keep talking about the influence of big money. And they know exactly what they're talking about because the big money is always on their side. And the money is often unseen. It creeps through cracks and pours through indirectly. Government money fuels their community groups. And then there's the vast river of dark money out of Silicon Valley and Wall Street that swings the country their way.
Where did the dark money go in 2020? This is just a small part of the big picture.
Of donations and spending reported to the FEC, liberal groups directed more than $514 million in dark money into the 2020 election, overshadowing around $200 million that boosted Republicans.
Anonymous donors poured record amounts of money into groups backing President Joe Biden in the 2020 contest, leaving the public without a full accounting of who helped him win the White House.
Biden’s presidential bid attracted around $174 million in support from anonymous donors, more than six times the $25.2 million in dark money contributions and spending boosting President Donald Trump’s unsuccessful re-election effort.
Of course, this turns into a pitch for HR-1's pitch to kill free elections and turn America into California. Anyone who isn't suffering from a short memory though remembers that campaign finance reform is how we got into this mess. Instead of taking money out of politics, it poured a lot more money into it while shifting the center of power over to an ideological monopoly that helped push the country much further leftward.

LAWYER Andrew Cuomo revealed to be a complete pig
For today's gross-out news, take a look at the latest from New York's once-vaunted, highly feted, Emmy award-winning Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The first woman to publicly accuse Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment claimed he once boorishly joked that he would “mount” her if he were a dog, a new report said.
Lindsey Boylan, a former aide to the governor, revealed Cuomo’s creepy remark in a lengthy interview with The New Yorker‘s Ronan Farrow, telling him that Cuomo made the gross joke in 2018 after a meeting at the Governor’s mansion.
Boylan, 36, who is one of seven women to lodge accusations of sexual misconduct against the governor, said he made the comment after Cuomo’s dog — a German Shepherd mix named Captain — jumped up and down near her.
Eeew. Who thinks like that? If a dog is jumping on someone, you get the dog off, and say 'sorry' to the person targeted. You don't cheer the dog with doggy-style sex allusions, pop off about it as the first thing that comes out of your mouth, and then imagine the woman involved isn't going to be throwing up inside. Nobody normal makes that kind of talk. Only a pig with a filthy way of thinking does.
And that's Cuomo to a tee, he's comfortable with that with no problem expressing it. Small wonder he now claims he had no idea he was offending people with his kind of talk as his defense. He apparently did it so often he was unable to recognize how disgusting he was.
So if there are any doubt that Cuomo was a bigtime sex harasser of the very grossest sort, the same sort of guy as one of Kamala Harris's top aides, Larry Wallace, whose sex harassing was so disgusting, it forced the state of California to make a $400,000 payout to a young employee he repeatedly forced to crawl under his desk to "fix" his computer so he could leer at her underwear, there's little room left for doubt. This is the world of pigville.
These new revelations remove all doubt that Cuomo was a grotesque abuser of female employees while living it up in a position of power and accolates. They reveal his arrogance, given that these incidents happened in the post-me too age.
Worse still, they were often done in public, right in front of people, with no expectation of any censure or consequences. People knew.
Everyone knew. And as in the case of Harvey Weinstein, another one taken down by Ronan Farrow, just as Cuomo is now being exposed by him, everyone in those charmed circles was all cuchy-coo and air-kisses with him. Oprah, Hillary Clinton, and other celebs from the big-name Hollywood circles knew and they turned their heads until they couldn't. Then they pretended to be shocked. But they knew very well and said nothing while Weinstein was powerful.
It's the same deal with Cuomo. So many people around him knew all about his bad behavior and not one of them stepped in front of him to stop it, or filed a complaint, or otherwise tried to make the old goat behave as a civilized human being in public for just a few minutes. That's where the real disgrace is. People knew because Cuomo never tried to hide his bad behavior.
Now, it seems Cuomo is dispensible, what with the need to protect other Democratic favorites among the governors from the same decision Cuomo made to put COVID patients in nursing homes. Taking him down on the easily seen, easily verified charges of unprofessional piggishness, the sort of thing that would get any office drone fired, seems to be the order of the day. If Cuomo's accusers in government and political class want to go that route, it behooves them to reveal all the people who knew about him and did nothing.
Joe Biden, the very definition of an empty suit
Joe Biden has always been an empty suit, for all of his 39 years in Congress, then eight as vice president.
He demeaned himself at the Clarence Thomas hearings in 1991 where he revealed his inner cruel nature. How he was ever elected again after that does not speak well for his constituents. He is a lifelong prevaricator, plagiarist and groper of female children. He has apparently sexually assaulted an adult woman as well. And we’ve all heard the stories of how he liked to swim nude in the presence of female secret security agents when he was VP. In short, the guy is a jerk, a poseur. He is also, and has always been a racist of the worst kind, the type who believes it is justified.
Throughout his years in Congress, he has seen to it that both his primary and extended family members have become rich by less than above-board means. His son Hunter is a case in point. The list of events showing Hunter’s unethical path to wealth is legion. If a son of Trump’s had been as corrupt as Hunter, we would never hear the end of it. And as Robert Gates has commented, “Joe Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy issue for forty years.”
And yet, with all this baggage, this is the man the Democratic Party has chosen as their presidential candidate to defeat President Trump! They’ve chosen very poorly as time will most certainly reveal.
This campaign season, for all the hysterical vitriol displayed by the left, is nothing if not amusing as well. Reading and watching the panicked leftists who fear a Biden-Trump debate so much they are advising they be cancelled is entertaining for they seem to think we don’t see through their oh-so-disingenuous arguments. They know as well as those on the right do that Biden is failing fast. That his rapacious wife has not called a halt to his campaign is proof that she does not love the man; she sees him as the avenue to her own exalted place in the power structure of D.C. She is a sort of comic book Lady Macbeth.
As the days pass and we see the short glimpses of Biden in his lovely patioed basement, we see a man lost in the fog of dementia, who loses his train of thought in the middle of sentences. He often has no idea where he is or to whom he is speaking. He is quick to anger if asked a question he does not like or cannot answer. He has so far acquitted himself as a man perhaps the least qualified, tempermentally and intellectually, to be president. He has embraced Bernie Sanders’ socialist platform as his own, balked at condemning the BLM and Antifa violence that has razed numerous democrat-run cities throughout the nation. He is wobbly on defunding the police which means he is afraid to speak out against the demands of the rioters. He is a coward.
He has even announced he will not attend the Democrat convention in Milwaukee. Any bets on whether or not he will debate the president? Chances are he will bow out of that commitment as well. His handlers are surely acutely aware of his obvious limitations by now. Even a high-tech ear piece would not help Joe. Directions and corrections in his ear would only confuse him further.
What is the Democrat party to do? Well, everything they are doing. They have an orchestrated strategy that is being implemented daily. Every leftist appearing on television and writing at the NYT, WaPo, and throughout the online media are doing everything in their power to convince the American people that the U.S. is irredeemably racist, a despicable lie.
They drone on and on about how Trump has handled the covid pandemic poorly, another an outright lie. He has been on top of it from the outset. (Would Biden have banned flights from China? Not a chance; he’s owned by China.)
They are spreading the fear that Trump will refuse to leave the White House if he loses, a ridiculous notion even from them. They are working hard to convince every American that the coming election will not be legitimate.
Mail-in-voting is one way to ensure that. They plan on votes not being counted by Jan. 20 so that Morticia Pelosi can be named temporary president. Can any of us imagine that nightmare? That two months would give them time to cheat/fix the results to their satisfaction or even to replace Biden, if he were to be declared the winner, based on the 25th Amendment.
The Democrats are up to no good, of that we can all be certain. They have never accepted Trump’s 2016 victory and, as a result, have behaved poorly ever since, wholly without class or grace. All the divisiveness has come from their refusal to acknowledge their candidate lost. The pathetic Carl Bernstein, forever trying to relive his role in Watergate, is demanding the Republicans remove Trump from office now! What does that tell us? That even Carl knows Biden cannot win. The question is, will Biden remain the candidate until November 3rd? We shall see. If he chooses Heels-up Kamala Harris as his running mate and Trump airs the clip of her accusing Biden of being a racist, theirs will be an ever-imploding exercise in futility. That would be a self-inflicted wound but fascinating – and grim in all its ramifications.
The Democrat party has devolved into a gang of thugs, as the hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr proved beyond a reasonable doubt. There is not one with the courage to speak up and admit that the party is broken into bits of dross, illegitimate due to their embrace of socialism. Everything they support is in opposition to the Constitution: illegal immigration, open borders, anti-law enforcement, anti-military, pro-violence in our streets, hatred of both the First and Second Amendments. They are prepared to lie, cheat and steal to gain power and implement their plan to destroy the middle class and turn the U.S. into Venezuela.
And they believe that Joe Biden is going to take them where they want to go! It is not only Joe Biden who is an empty suit. The Democratic Party has relinquished any and all legitimacy it once had. Why and for what? Because their criminally corrupt candidate lost in 2016, a D.C. outsider won, and they have been in the throes of an enraged tantrum ever since. Exec of #MeToo Group That Covered for Biden’s Sex Abuse Heads His Gender Policy Council
Believe all women… except those who accuse powerful Democrats.

When Hollywood wanted to divert attention from its sexual abuse of women, it created Time’s Up and staffed it with political hacks from the Obama administration.
Time’s Up was built as a rival to the decentralized social media #MeToo movement. Replacing social media outrage driven by random people with a formal organization funded by Hollywood capital and controlled by the Democrat non-profit sector could prevent another Weinstein mess.
Despite being backed by Hollywood millionaires, the organization’s legal defense fund launched what became the largest fundraiser on GoFundMe: totaling almost $25 million. But critics pointed out that Time’s Up’s money was mostly going to salaries, rather than to victims.
There was even more outrage when Time’s Up Now co-sponsored a retreat at a spa filled with agents from CAA: a powerful talent agency backing Time’s Up which had been accused of covering up Weinstein's crimes. Rose McGowan, a key #MeToo figure, tweeted, “Times Up A vile PR stunt, a front for evil CAA & other human traffickers like Weinstein.”
In 2019, Lisa Borders, the CEO of Time's Up, was forced to resign when her son, a formerly homeless yoga instructor, was accused of groping one of his clients during a "healing" session. Borders explained that she was resigning because she wanted to defend her son, but still got paid $591,000 for half a year’s work as part of a “severance agreement” with the group.
Borders was replaced by Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, who spent 2020 tanking what was left of the little credibility that the Obama/Hollywood front group still had.
Oprah Winfrey had helped launch #TimesUp with a Golden Globes speech declaring, “Their time is up” and she also hosted an interview with Time’s Up leaders on CBS: whose former CEO, Les Moonves, had been TV’s own version of Harvey Weinstein. The Time's Up celebs that Oprah interviewed, Shonda Rimes, and Natalie Portman, had not been assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. Or anyone. (McGowan also rightly blasted Portman's theatrics.)
But when a documentary about the women alleging that they had been raped by Russell Simmons, a celebrity hip-hop producer who was also a pal of racist Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, was close to release, Oprah Winfrey pulled out, under pressure from Simmons.
Time’s Up not only joined Oprah in refusing to support the victims, but allegedly started a whispering campaign to sabotage the documentary. A Hollywood Reporter investigation tied together Tina Chen and the role of former Obama consoligere Valerie Jarrett, and noted that, “$2.9 million of Time's Up gross receipts in 2018 came from three undisclosed donors.”
But the complete collapse of Time’s Up came when Tara Reade accused Joe Biden of sexual assault. Reade had initially reached out to people at Time's Up only to be told that the organization legally couldn't support her because Biden was a political candidate. President Trump was also a political candidate, but that hadn’t stopped Time’s Up from attacking him.
The same organization that recently put out a statement by Tina Tchen headlined, “Donald Trump Must Be Removed From Office”, claimed that it couldn’t speak out against Biden for legal reasons. The legal reasons were a joke, but the political ones were there for everyone to see.
Tchen managed to praise Biden for having the right response to the allegations. This wasn’t surprising as Time’s Up was populated by former Obama people, and in a glaring conflict of interest, its public relations were being handled by Biden advisor Anita Dunn. Beyond being Biden’s “decision-making authority”, Dunn had also provided advice to Harvey Weinstein.
“I actually cried a little because I felt really betrayed,” Reade had said. “They never told me that their public relations was run by Anita Dunn. I found out in real-time reading Ryan’s article. I gave them so much personal information and they say they didn’t give it to Biden. But come on. They said they had firewalls or something.”
Time’s Up said lots of things. But then it did very different things.
The Chief Strategy and Policy Officer for Time’s Up, Jennifer Klein, maxed out her donations to Biden. Klein, a former Obama and Clinton vet, has now been appointed by Biden as the co-chair of Biden’s new White House Gender Policy Council, alongside Julissa Reynoso, Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff, an Obama ambassador, and a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow.
The White House Gender Policy Council is tasked in Biden’s executive order with, among a multitude of other things, combatting “sexual harassment”. The Council is expected to throw out policies by former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos that protected the due process rights of students who had been accused of sexual misconduct on college campuses.
Had Biden faced the same lack of due process as the average college student, he would have been immediately found guilty. But Time’s Up insisted that there was no organization that existed to try Biden. Instead it would be up to the voters to pass judgement on his “character”. That was a convenient rationalization for refusing to stand with the women accusing Biden.
Now Klein, who was donating to the abuser, will head up Biden’s program to protect women. Except of course those women who might decide to come forward and accuse her boss.
Time’s Up had always existed to silence actual victims on behalf of influential Democrats. It was a partnership between Hollywood and Obama operatives. Rolling executives of Time’s Up into Biden programs just makes the arrangement public.
Klein combined her time at Time’s Up with serving as co-chair of the Women and Families Policy Committee for the campaign of an accused sexual abuser. Now the Biden campaign elevated her campaign role to an administration role. And, in an interview with Ms. Magazine, Tina Tchen touted Klein as “an expert on both domestic and global gender issues”.
“The policy of this administration is that every individual, every student is entitled to a fair education — free of sexual violence — and that all involved have access to a fair process,” Klein argued.
Fair process and due process are not the same thing. A due process protects the rights of the accused while a fair process is in the eye of the beholder. Equity dispenses with due process and replaces it with bias that is only ‘fair’ if you believe that society is fundamentally unfair.
Of course we already know the outcome.
Tina Tchen had already tweeted that due process rules for accused abusers on campus are wrong and the National Women's Law Center, which administers the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund, had sued to stop student accusers from being cross-examined after an accusation.
The Biden administration will move to ban cross-examination of campus accusers, but when Reade accused Biden of sexual assault, she was cross-examined and then smeared in the media, while Biden was hardly ever asked about any of the allegations of sexual misconduct.
That’s the ‘fair’ standard of Time’s Up in action.
Accuse a random student and you have the right to be believed without being cross-examined, but if you accuse Biden, you have the right to be cross-examined without ever being believed.
Believe Reade or don’t, Biden’s inappropriate conduct with women has been captured on video. It’s not hard to find photos and video clips of him inappropriately touching women and girls. That might be one reason he chose to rename the White House Council on Women and Girls that Tina Tchen had headed for Obama to the White House Gender Policy Council headed by Klein.
The existence of women and girls is routinely denied by lefties who insist on using euphemisms like “menustrators” (She the People), “chest-feeders” (NHS), and “people with vaginas” (Planned Parenthood) and by Biden, one of whose first moves was to effectively eliminate women’s sports. Now women have also been erased from the Council on Women and Girls.

For 20 years, Democrat sexual predators have run the state of New York.
For 13 years, the terms of the last three Democrat governors, sexual harassers have held down the office. And for 20 years, Democrat attorney generals who were sexual predators ruled.
It’s quite an achievement for a national and state party that claims to protect women.
"There is a disrespect for women that this administration chronically exemplifies. After the #MeToo movement, they did absolutely nothing when it came to sexual harassment," Governor Cuomo ranted about President Trump during the Kavanaugh nomination.
That was the same year that Cuomo had halted an investigation into Manhattan DA Cy Vance’s mishandling of the Weinstein case back in 2015, six days after Cuomo got a $25,000 check from the law firm that had represented Weinstein in 2015, which had donated $10,000 to Vance.
Vance's office had also asked a judge to reduce Jeffrey Epstein's sex offender status so low that he wouldn't be listed as a sex offender. "Can Cyrus Vance, Jr., Nail Trump?" the New Yorker recently asked. Better ask Harvey Weistein and Jeffrey Epstein about Vance’s track record.
Governor Cuomo has pivoted from condemning President Trump’s “disrespect for women” to accusing his female accusers of secretly working for Trump. The #IStandWithCuomo hashtag is being used to spread claims that Cuomo is being taken down to help President Trump.
If there’s anyone who knows how to really respect women, it’s Cuomo.
But it’s hard to complain about Cuomo sexually harassing and groping women. Let alone be surprised that Cuomo kept up the great tradition of his predecessors.
David Paterson, Cuomo's blind black predecessor, whom he ousted by digging up dirt, revealed at a press conference that he began to have an affair after his wife cheated on him. Paterson admitted to the affair, though denied having a child out of wedlock, to avoid being blackmailed.
"I think we have a marriage like many Americans, maybe even like many of you," Paterson told reporters. Considering he was addressing the media, he was probably right.
After denying that he had affairs with anyone on his staff, he eventually admitted to sleeping with a number of women, including his director of community affairs. He later reached a settlement to head off a sexual harassment lawsuit from his chief of staff whom he had allegedly hired while having an affair with her and then fired after breaking up with her.
Paterson also faced accusations of witness tampering when he called the girlfriend of a top aide after she filed a police report accusing his aide of choking her and throwing her against a mirror.
All of this was a refreshing change from his predecessor, Governor Eliot Spitzer who had picked Patterson as his Lieutenant Governor. Spitzer was forced to resign when he was caught patronizing prostitutes and allegedly used campaign funds to cover the hotel bills.
So the obvious next step was a job at CNN where his show never took off.
In what seems to be a troubling pattern with New York Democrats, one of Spitzer's prostitutes claimed that he liked choking her. The prostitute then claimed that she was pimped out by the Manhattan DA's office a few years before it was trying to keep Epstein off the sex offender list.
Spitzer had started out as the Attorney General of New York back in 1998, Cuomo took over from him in 2006, and Eric Schneiderman succeeded Cuomo in 2010.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was forced to resign after multiple women accused him of choking and assaulting them. One of the accusers said that Schneiderman, a progressive Democrats, kept calling her his, “brown slave”. Another claimed he had declared, “I am the law”.
Sexual predators have held the office of the Attorney General of New York for 20 years from 1998 to Schneiderman’s resignation until 2018. The current officeholder is a woman.
It’s a hell of a record.
Governor Cuomo claimed that the Trump administration “chronically exemplifies” a “disrespect for women”, but it’s New York Democrats who can’t seem to stop preying on women.
All of the New York Democrat abusers were professional feminists.
“A year before Roe v. Wade, I graduated from high school, went to Washington DC, and got a job working in an abortion clinic. I learned an important lesson at a young age. If a woman does not have the right to control her own body, she is not truly equal. She is not truly free,” Schneiderman had tweeted, while he was choking women and telling them they were slaves.
On MSNBC, Eliot Spitzer claimed that he was a feminist with a record of "devout dedication to women’s rights, on the issues of choice", and urged voters to “look at the totality of my record,” and not just the parts that allegedly involved taking away a women’s choice to breathe.
"James says I’m a feminist and she’s right," Cuomo had once boasted at a Planned Parenthood event, referring to the Attorney General now investigating him for sexual harassment. "God told me I was a feminist."
Governor Cuomo had created the Women’s Equality Party as his own platform, and had read a speech attacking President Trump, in which he declared, “As a New Yorker, I am a Muslim. I am a Jew. I am Black. I am gay. I am a woman seeking to control her body. We are one New York.”
Cuomo then went on to blame Jews for the pandemic while preventing women from being able to control their bodies with his meaty hands.
All part of the track record of the “national leader in the fight against sexual harassment.”
Democrat sexual predators were able to get away with their deranged behavior because they pretended to be feminists, and feminist leaders, celebrities, and the media were happy to help.
Planned Parenthood alone has provided cover for numerous Democrat sexual predators.
But New York is still something special. If Cuomo is toppled by his own #MeToo moment, that will mean that the last three Democrat governors were forced out of politics due to scandals.
It will also mean that three Democrat AGs were actually career sexual predators.
The media will carefully avoid connecting these dots because they peel back the mask and reveal the true face of their own political movement and the political faction at the top.
The Democrats don’t protect women. Like Bill Clinton and Joe Biden, they prey on them.
Nolte: Andrew Cuomo Under Federal Investigation for VIP Coronavirus Testing Scandal
The far-left New York Times reports that disgraced Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) is currently under federal investigation over credible allegations that he gave friends, family, and supporters special access to coronavirus testing.
“Federal prosecutors have been looking into whether Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s administration granted special access to rapid coronavirus test results for the governor’s family and other influential people, according to two people with knowledge of the discussions,” writes the left-wing Times.
Cuomo is already under federal investigation over the credible claim that he lied about all the nursing home deaths caused by his sinister and disastrous policy that forced nursing homes to accept patients infected with the coronavirus. Not only are the elderly the most vulnerable to the China virus; most nursing homes are just not set up to contain a viral infection.
On top of lying about instituting this deadly policy (for more than a year, the media allowed Cuomo to blame then-President Trump), Cuomo also reportedly lied about the death count. Many believe he did so to ensure his book deal, which paid him some five million dollars, would go through. The book, laughably, was all about him bragging about how well he handled the coronavirus.
But now the Times reports that on top of the nursing home investigation, the feds have expanded their investigation into “questions surrounding a priority testing program that benefited Mr. Cuomo’s close family members, including his brother, Chris Cuomo, in the early weeks of the pandemic.”
The Times adds, “The governor’s office has not disputed that the governor’s family and others received priority access to testing in the pandemic’s early weeks” and “lasted far longer than previously known, through at least last month[.]”
Good God.
So, basically, here’s what happened and why it matters…
Early last year, if you recall, New York was the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, and during these crucial early days, testing resources were scarce as everyone tried to get a handle on this thing. Nevertheless, and the governor does not deny any of this, Cuomo utilized these scarce and vital resources to not only test his friends and family and the influential but to allow them to be tested at home by some of the top people in his Health Department.
So Cuomo sent vital personnel to the homes of the Chosen Few to administer the tests and then used city services to rush the tests to the lab where the tests were bumped to the head of the line.
The biggest sin in all this, at least in my opinion, is that the Chosen Few’s test results remained anonymous, which means they were not used to help the people of New York by way of contact tracing and the like.
Here’s how I laid out the scandal back in March, which is also a scandal that involves CNNLOL’s Chris Cuomo, the governor’s little brother. The Times explains:
Chris Cuomo and his family were tested several times in the pandemic’s early phase by a high-ranking health official who traveled to their Long Island home to take samples, which were then rushed by the state police to the Wadsworth laboratory in Albany.
…
Officials are barred by state law from using their position to obtain “privileges or exemptions” for themselves or others, or even trying to do so. An impeachment inquiry into Mr. Cuomo, run by the State Assembly, has also begun considering the access the governor’s family received to testing.
“Priority testing by definition means that discretion was involved, and both the executive chamber and the Department of Health had discretion to decide who needed to be tested first,” said Mr. Abramowitz, the lawyer for Mr. Cuomo.
Fredo also, while infected with the China virus, broke every quarantine rule there was to head out to the Hamptons, and did so while pretending to be quarantined on his failing CNNLOL TV show.
As we all know and as has been well-documented, the American justice system protects Democrats and persecutes Republicans, so let’s not hold our breath that there will be any accountability.

NN’s Cuomo: I’m ‘Sorry’ for Putting My Colleagues in ‘Bad Spot’ by Being on Calls with Brother and His Staff – ‘I Must’ Be There for Family
On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” host Chris Cuomo admitted that he was on calls with his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and some of his staff, and said that such conduct “was a mistake. Because I put my colleagues here, who I believe are the best in the business, in a bad spot.” Cuomo also said that him offering his brother advice “is no revelation.” And stated that he hasn’t tried to influence CNN’s coverage of his brother.
Cuomo began by saying, “If you’ll remember, I told you, back in the beginning of March, I can’t cover my brother’s troubles. It wouldn’t be fair. And you got it then and I appreciate you understanding. Now today, there are stories out there about me offering my brother advice. Of course I do. This is no revelation. I have said it publicly and I certainly have never hidden it. I can be objective about just about any topic, but not about my family. Those of you who watch this show get it. Like you, I bet, my family means everything to me and I am fiercely loyal to them. I am family first, job second.”
He continued, “But being a journalist and a brother to a politician is unique and a unique challenge, and I have a unique responsibility to balance those roles. It’s not always easy. People can say and write what they want, but I want you to know the truth. How I helped my brother also matters. When my brother’s situation became turbulent, being looped into calls with other friends of his and advisers, that did include some of his staff, I understand why that was a problem for CNN. It will not happen again. It was a mistake. Because I put my colleagues here, who I believe are the best in the business, in a bad spot. I never intended for that. I would never intend for that and I am sorry for that. It’s also important for you to understand, not only do I not cover this here, I’ve never tried to influence this network’s coverage of my brother. In fact, I’ve been walled off from it.”
Cuomo concluded, “This is a unique and difficult situation, and that’s okay. I know where the line is. I can respect it and still be there for my family, which I must. I have to do that. I love my brother, I love my family, I love my job, and I love and respect my colleagues here at CNN. And again, to them, I am truly sorry. You know who I am. You know what I’m about, and I want this to be said, in public, to you who give me the opportunity and to my colleagues who make me better at what I do.”

Chris Cuomo has been thrown to the wolves by CNN bosses after it was revealed he'd been privately coaching his governor brother through an ongoing sex scandal.
A spokesman for the network admitted his behavior was 'inappropriate', after it was revealed Chris had been advising New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his taxpayer-funded staffers on how to weather sexual harassment claims.
CNN added that Chris Cuomo would not face punishment - but it allowed unnamed staff members to stick the knife into him in its own report on the gaffe.
That story pointedly said: 'The revelation that Cuomo had advised his brother vexed staffers inside CNN. Multiple CNN staffers said they were bothered by Cuomo's conduct and the violation of traditional journalistic standards.
'Journalists typically do not engage in politics so that they can cover the news in an impartial manner.'
Chris Cuomo reportedly told his brother to take a stand against 'cancel culture' after the first of nine women to make sexual harassment allegations against his older sibling emerged in December 2020.

The TV host also advised taxpayer-funded New York state officials on how to help his sibling weather the storm.
Cable news anchor Chris encouraged his brother to take a defiant position and not resign from the governor's office, according to people who listened to the calls told the Washington Post.
He did so despite publicly claiming it would be inappropriate to report on the same sex pest scandal on his nightly show.
Chris Cuomo and CNN now face fresh hypocrisy allegations after granting Governor Cuomo hours of positive coverage and simpering interviews during the early days of the COVID-19 crisis last year.
Chris would regularly interview his brother and heap praise on him for the Empire State's handling of the pandemic - despite claims their close family ties made such coverage unprofessional and inappropriate.
Commenting on the coaching scandal, a CNN spokesman said: 'Chris has not been involved in CNN's extensive coverage of the allegations against Governor Cuomo — on air or behind the scenes.'

'In part because, as he has said on his show, he could never be objective. But also because he often serves as a sounding board for his brother.'
'However, it was inappropriate to engage in conversations that included members of the Governor's staff, which Chris acknowledges,' the statement added. 'He will not participate in such conversations going forward.'
The network said Chris Cuomo will not be disciplined for his participation in the strategy sessions.
The conference calls took place earlier this year, with a total of nine women accusing the Democratic governor of making inappropriate remarks, lewd suggestions, or unwanted physical contact.
Chris Cuomo remained notably silent on the air as the scandal unfolded, and was similarly quiet over a parallel outrage his brother's handling of pandemic deaths in nursing homes.
'Obviously, I am aware of what is going on with my brother,' he finally told viewers on March 1, as the allegations piled up.

'And obviously I cannot cover it because he is my brother. Now, of course CNN has to cover it. They have covered it extensively and they will continue to do so. I have always cared very deeply about these issues, and profoundly so. I just want to tell you that,' he said.
No such coverage ban was in place last year, when Andrew Cuomo was at the height of his popularity leading the COVID response in New York.
The governor made numerous appearances on his own brother's show, for lighthearted interviews that featured brotherly banter.
Sources tell the Post that Chris and Andrew, who are 13 years apart in age, are very close, and that the CNN host is among the handful of people whom the governor trusts for advice.
Cuomo has repeatedly denied the claims against him, and rejected calls for his resignation
Favors in the family extend both ways, and Andrew Cuomo came in for criticism after it emerged that he had ordered state health officials to rush to his brother's Long Island home to test him for COVID last March.
The Wall Street Journal reported late in March that the New York state attorney general's office had subpoenaed dozens of officials in Governor Cuomo's administration as part of the probe into sexual harassment accusations.
Cuomo has repeatedly denied these claims, and rejected calls for his resignation from fellow Democrats, including New York's two U.S. senators, Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
He has asked New Yorkers to await the results of State Attorney General Letitia James investigation into the claims.
The women who've accused Gov Andrew Cuomo of harassment
Lindsay Boylan, 36
Former aide Lindsay Boylan, 36, was the first woman to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment in a Medium post on February 24. She claimed that the governor asked her to play strip poker and kissed her on the lips without her permission when she worked for him in 2017.

Charlotte Bennett, 25, came forward a few days after Boylan and claimed that Cuomo sexually harassed her last June while she was working as a health policy adviser in his administration at the height of the COVID-19 crisis.
Bennett accused Cuomo of 'grooming' her and asking inappropriate questions about her sex life.
She also claimed that he told her he was open to dating women in their 20s.
BENNETT said the governor asked her about her love life - including whether she ever had sex with older men - and talked about his own, saying that age differences didn't matter in relationships and he was open to dating women over 22.
During a meeting alone in his office, the governor said he was lonely and talked about wanting to hug someone, Bennett said.
She said she swiftly complained to Cuomo's chief of staff and was transferred to another job.
She said she spoke to a lawyer for the governor, but didn´t insist on further action because she liked her new post and wanted to move on.

Anna Ruch was the third woman to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment and the only one thus far who did not work with him in a professional capacity. She claimed that Cuomo put his hands on her face and asked if he could kiss her just moments after they met at a September 2019 wedding in Manhattan.

Ana Liss, 35, a former aide, said Cuomo asked her whether she had a boyfriend, once kissed her hand at her desk and called her by patronizing names, including 'blondie,' 'sweetheart' and 'honey.'
At a reception, the governor hugged her then put his arm around her lower back and waist as they posed for photo, Liss said.
She said she eventually asked for a job transfer. In an interview, Liss said she was 'not claiming sexual harassment per se,' but felt the administration 'wasn't a safe space for young women to work.'
Liss, who previously served as Cuomo's policy and operations aide between 2013 and 2015, told the Wall Street Journal that during her time in his administration, the governor had subjected her to unsolicited advances, including touching her lower back, kissing her hand and quizzing her about her love life.

Karen Hinton, 62
The oldest allegations against Cuomo came from Karen Hinton, who served as a press aide for him when he led the US Department of Housing and Urban Development two decades ago and she was a consultant for the agency. Hinton told the Washington Post about a 2000 incident when she said Cuomo summoned her to his 'dimly lit' hotel room and embraced her after a work event. She said she tried to pull away from Cuomo when he pulled her back and held her before she managed to escape the room.

Unnamed sixth accuser
The most damning allegations leveled against Cuomo to date came from a sixth accuser, whose name has not been released.
The accuser, who is a member of Cuomo's staff, alleged that he closed a door, reached under her blouse and fondled her after summoning her to the governor's mansion in Albany for help with his cellphone, according to the Times Union of Albany.
It first reported on her accusation last month; she then gave more detail in her first interview on the matter, published Wednesday.
The woman spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect her privacy, although her identity is known within the governor´s circle, the Times Union reported.
The woman, an executive assistant, told the Times Union the governor gave her kisses on the cheek and inappropriately tight hugs for years and made remarks including, 'If you were single, the things that I would do to you' and 'I'm single and ready to mingle.'
Then, one day in November, she was summoned to his Executive Mansion office to help him with a cellphone problem, she said.
He got up from his desk, started groping her and told her 'I don't care' after she tried to deflect him by saying he was going to get them into trouble, and then he slammed the door, she said.
Then he reached under her blouse and clutched one of her breasts over her bra, she told the newspaper.
The woman told a colleague this winter about the alleged encounter, and the co-worker told a supervisor in early March, according to the newspaper.
Cuomo called the report 'gut-wrenching' in a March statement and said: 'I have never done anything like this.'

Jessica Bakeman
Jessica Bakeman claimed in a first-person article for New York Magazine that she was sexually harassed by Cuomo on several occasions since the start of her journalism career in 2012.
Bakeman added her voice as the seventh accuser as she detailed inappropriate touching by the governor as he continued to deny all of the claims.
'He took my hand, as if to shake it, then refused to let go,' Bakeman wrote of an interaction with Cuomo as she said goodnight at a holiday party in 2014 when she was only 25 years old.
'He put his other arm around my back, his hand on my waist, and held me firmly in place while indicating to a photographer he wanted us to pose for a picture.'
At the time Bakeman had been working for what is now Politico New York and claimed that red flags went up as her 'job was to analyze and scrutinize him'.
'I didn't want a photo of him with his hands on my body and a smile on my face,' she wrote.

'But I made the reflexive assessment that most women and marginalized people know instinctively, the calculation about risk and power and self-preservation. I knew it would be far easier to smile for the brief moment it takes to snap a picture than to challenge one of the most powerful men in the country.'
In an earlier 2012 incident while she was working for USA Today, Bakeman also claims that Cuomo kept her pinned to his side as he told a story to her male colleagues.
'He left it there, and kept me pinned next to him, for several minutes as he finished telling his story,' she said. 'I stood there, my cheeks hot, giggling nervously as my male colleagues did the same. We all knew it was wrong, but we did nothing.'
The reporter, who now works in Florida, claimed that Cuomo 'never let me forget I was a woman' as she also alleged that he made frequent attempts to humiliate her, including calling out her purple phone instead of answering her question during a press gaggle.

McGrath, a current administrative assistant in Cuomo's office, told The New York Times that he looked down her shirt, quizzed her about her marital status, and told her she was beautiful, using an Italian phrase she had to ask her parents to interpret.
McGrath didn't say the governor made sexual contact with her but thought his behavior was sexual harassment.
She recalled Cuomo kissing her on the forehead and gripping her firmly around the sides while posing for a photo at a 2019 office Christmas party.

Sherry Vill, 55
Sherry Vill, 55, accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct during a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred on Monday.
She alleges Cuomo grabbed her face and kissed her 'aggressively and in a sexual manner' on both cheeks in May 2017 while he was touring her home in Greece, near Rochester, as he inspected local flood damage.
Vill, who said she felt uncomfortable at the time, shared an image her daughter took on the day that showed Cuomo holding her face as he kissed her cheek and her attorney held up multiple photos showing the Governor inside her home.
The same photos appear on Cuomo's Flickr account, as well as multiple others that show him kissing and greeting residents as he toured the town.
None of the women in the other photos have accused the governor of inappropriate behavior or wrongdoing.
LAWYER Hunter Biden and a Female Chinese Operative
Disturbing smoke over political opposition research and a presidential election.
Hunter Biden did more than abuse drugs and use his father's influence to enrich himself and his family. The youngest son of Joe Biden also acted as a conduit -- willingly or otherwise -- of political information that could be used against President Donald Trump in last year's Presidential election.
Providing the information was JiaQi Bao, a young woman who worked in the United States as an advisor to Ye Jianming, the founder and chairman of the now-bankrupt conglomerate, CEFE China Energy. That conglomerate, as well as a Chinese investment firm, Bohai Harvest, served as Hunter Biden's business partners.
Both firms also acted as fronts for the Chinese government and Communist Party.
On May 7, Britain's Daily Mail published information it received from the younger Biden's laptop about his relationship with Bao and her influence on him. Yet five months ago, a cyber security expert from New York, Yaacov Apelbaum, published the findings on his own blog, "The Illustrated Primer."
Chinese intelligence "controlled large parts of the strategy, funding, and overseas operations" for Bohai Harvest and CEFE China Energy, Apelbaum wrote. But in March 2018, when the conglomerate went bankrupt, Ye was arrested in China and charged with bribery. Since then, the world has received no news about Ye's whereabouts or fate.
Bao also encouraged Hunter Biden to keep $1.4 million that rightfully belonged to the bankrupt conglomerate's creditors. By doing so, the Chinese might have trapped the Bidens into doing their bidding.
Bao developed the perfect resume to become a Chinese operative in the United States' financial sector. An honors student, Bao graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with bachelor's degrees in accounting and finance, and received immediate acceptance into the master's program for accounting at the university's W.P. Carey School of Business.
Bao then returned to China to work for three months as an intern for OneGate Capital Equity before moving to the National Development and Reform Commission, where she worked for another three months as a research assistant. Bao's LinkedIn profile describes the commission as "a policymaking and macro-economic management agency with broad administrative and planning controls over the Chinese economy."
In other words, the Chinese government and Communist Party use the NDRC to dictate economic policy. The NDRC also is responsible for the "social credit" system.
At the same time, Bao was attending Tsinghua University, described as "China's foremost institute of higher learning" in her profile. "It has been the most important training ground for China's top leaders in academics, business, (and) government." Bao graduated with distinction as a bilingual Master of Arts in the summer of 2012.
After spending seven months with OneGate as an analyst, Bao moved to New York and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2013 as a senior associate. She worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for three years, then became an independent consultant.
Sometime during her tenure as an independent consultant, Bao became Hunter Biden's secretary, friend, and informal advisor. Apelbaum posted a screenshot of a conversation between the two on the Chinese platform WeChat, and some of her more alluring photos from her WeChat page.
Apelbaum also posted pictures of Biden wearing military dog tags during a sexual tryst, apparently with Bao, who wrote the following when Biden lost the dog tags. Bao described them as a "doggie chain."
…regarding the delivery of your doggie chain and holiday/birthday package. I safe (sic) kept your belonging (sic) for you as promised. I don’t think it is appropriate to drop off to a third party given the risk of miscommunication as happened in the past. How about I will either deliver it to you in person at your convenience or FedEx to a designated address where you can receive it directly?
As CEFE was going bankrupt, Bao sent a confidential letter to Hunter and Robert Biden, Joe Biden's brother. She encouraged them to take the $1.4 million owed the conglomerate's creditors, claiming that it was "nobody's money." Bao mentioned Hudson West, a limited liability partnership connected to Dong Gongwen, Ye's business partner. CEFE transferred money to the Bidens through Hudson West
"Whatever money from Hudson West, please take them, take as much as possible, or figure out a way to spend them for your own benefit," Bao wrote. "It doesn't matter whether the left-over operational fund for Hudson West is labeled as "personal goodwill/loan" or "non-recourse" "recourse" "borrowing/drawing"... just take it and keep as much as possible.
"If you do not take that money, the money would end up become (sic) "nobody's money." ... "Nobody's money" means they take away whatever you give up to nobody knows where in the system it will end up and whomever stranger might simply take the money for granted.
So take whatever money you can take, as long as the money is available to claim in the U.S., or you guys ... figure out a way to have the money transferred to the right U. S. account before any restriction levied by Chinese regulators. ... And do not worry about anyone will say anything or reject the idea, as long as whomever helps execute/facilitate the process also benefit or get to keep a bit of something. ... Please note, I did not say anything to you ;)
Apelbaum believes China used Bao to execute a sting against Hunter's family.
"This was almost certainly an official Chinese calculated move to give them future leverage over the Bidens," he wrote. "Legally, Hunter and Jim Biden’s company Hudson West assets should have gone to the CEFC creditors, not to the personal Biden bank accounts."
If true, that sting would reflect Bao's ultimate purpose.
"Following what seems like traditional honeypot tactics," Apelbaum wrote, "JiaQi was used to sweeten Hunter’s already saccharin-laced business engagement with CEFC. She kept an eye on Hunter from her base in NYC and acted as a cutout between the overseas Chinese officials and the Bidens."
In her latter role, Bao tried to convince Hunter Biden to get his father to run for President. In a letter from March 14, 2019, she refers to Hunter's father as "Uncle Joe," who had yet to decide whether to campaign.
"You need to help Uncle Joe run for President," Bao wrote. "Your father really should run for 2020 for this country."
As she continued, Bao identified herself with the United States:
He will be one of the best presidents in our country's history! I truly think so, especially after reading the wonderful books he wrote. Not only for our country and for American people, his party, also for Beau and for the spirit of your family, he really should run!
Bao even cited Trump, Winston Churchill and Mahathir bin Mohamad, who became Malaysia's prime minister at 92, to deflect concerns about age: "Hey, if Trump can run at his age, why not Uncle Joe?"
Bao's letter contained two attachments containing possible opposition research and campaign talking points. One attachment, "Uncle Joe 2020," continued offering encouragement while criticizing Trump's approach to illegal immigration:
Trump, despite of his age, still acts like a kid and he is so 'blind' (arrogant + ignorant). Shut down the government for his border wall is merely one example of his backward thinking and immaturity. Constructing a border wall is worse than throwing money down the drain. Besides this border wall proposal, if you count this wall as an 'infrastructure', I don’t see how he is helping this country updating our infrastructure ... we need someone who can address these issues smartly and practically. Immigration reform is not a showmanship of photogenic walls...
In offering encouragement, Bao stressed the impression "Uncle Joe" would make in Asia:
People from conservative Asian cultures start to look at our democratic election as a joke or some sort of reality TV drama. We need experienced politicians to bring back some good sense back. Democratic party needs a wise elderly (sic) to unify and to lead.
Bao's second attachment, which included embedded links as research, concentrated on Trump's dealings with China:
If there is anyone who deserve to be scrutinized for doing business with Chinese, it would be Donald Trump:
-- Trump real estate selling American citizenship cheaply to corrupted Chinese officials. He and his rich real estate friends’ “visa for rich” immigration program led rich + legal immigrates (sic) abuse U. S. social welfare (while those who really need the help couldn’t get any)!
-- Trump’s easygoing with Chinese “state-owned enterprise” ZTE amidst opposition from Congress
-- Trump also let China go easy on human rights violation… Plus
-- Trump association with Chinese owner of Florida prostitution parlor
Further, his trade war with China has been a complete failure thus far, resulting in tremendous loss to Americans (from American farmers/energy companies, to enterprises across spectrum, to average people). As of now, we have the highest trade deficit in 30 years, but ironically China has not changed a single thing on unfair business practice and intellectual property thievery that have been going on for decades!
Bao continued by praising President Barack Obama's administration and the Democratic Party for confronting China:
By the way, keep in mind, before Trump, it was President Obama and your father’s administration who initiated this effort of curtail (sic) China’s global influence, and it was Democrats’ initiative to fight against Huawei espionage under President Obama and your father’s administration. The critics who first raise concerns about China’s raise (sic) to power and about trade are primarily Democrats.
Bao even used the commonly referenced color associated with the Democrats: "If we were really to play the China card and debate on policy toward China, Blue should have the upper hand."
Bao concluded by summarizing Trump's supposed vulnerability on China:
Last word on the trade war, we have a hand of good cards to start with, but Trump didn’t use it well, at least not fully utilize it, with his inexperience in diplomacy/international affairs, his arrogance and overconfidence, his poor strategy and subpar execution. I don’t mean to be arrogant, but I really think even I have better ideas than him and could have done much better negotiating for America.
Six weeks later, on April 25, "Uncle Joe" announced his candidacy.
Interestingly enough, Bao's LinkedIn profile makes no mention of any employment -- even independent consulting -- after July 2019.
How influential did Bao's lobbying prove to be? Perhaps nobody beyond Bao's and the Bidens' circle will ever know. Yet even without that specific knowledge, Apelbaum states the obvious:
As unfathomable as this is, what we have here is a textbook example of a compromise: Chinese intelligence is potentially controlling the family and a would-be US president through financial incentives and honey potting his son, and this has been going on for years, yet, not a peep from the (Justice Department) or the (intelligence community).
In referring to Bao's letters, Apelbaum concludes that the Chinese did to the Bidens what the Democrats claimed the Russians were doing to Trump.
"These and some of the other documents strongly suggest that the Chinese government was engaging in full-blown influence and hands-on election interference on US soil via front companies like CEFC," he wrote, "and that Hunter, Jim, and Joe Biden could have been trapped in these operations."
Biden Refuses to Discuss Family’s Legal Troubles: ‘I’m Proud of My Son’

Joe Biden is refusing to discuss the legal troubles of his son amid revelations that the Department of Justice is investigating the younger Biden’s “tax affairs.”
Biden, who has been declared president-elect by numerous media outlets, was asked after a press conference on Friday in Wilmington, Delaware, if his son, Hunter, “committed a crime.” The question was in regards to Hunter Biden’s recent admission that he had been informed by the United States Attorney of Delaware that there was an open investigation into his “tax affairs.”
Despite the topic dominating the news cycle in recent days, the former vice president refused to comment on the situation.
“I’m proud of my son,” Biden said, repeating a line he has employed since the story first broke.
While the exact nature of the U.S. Attorney investigation remains unclear, the revelations come more than a month after Fox News reported that Hunter Biden’s laptop had been seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as part of a money laundering probe.
The younger Biden has faced questions for some time over his business dealings. In September the Senate Finance and Homeland Security Committees released an extensive report detailing numerous instances in which Hunter Biden’s business dealings appeared to overlap with his father’s political influence.
Senate Republicans have pledged to continue investigating the matter once the new Congress opens session in January. Of particular interest for some congressional watchdogs are allegations, first reported by Breitbart News in October, that a top official from a Chinese energy firm offered to provide the Biden “family” a $5 million non-secured, forgivable loan.
The offer was discussed in an email sent to SinoHawk Holdings CEO Tony Bobulinski, a one-time business partner of Hunter Biden. Bobulinski has since begun cooperating with both congressional investigators and federal law enforcement on the topic.

On Wednesday, Politico reported that federal prosecutors “have been asking about James Biden’s dealings” with Americore Health, a company that operates rural hospitals .
James Biden, who worked for Americore between 2017 and 2019, supposedly received a personal loan from the $650,000 company before decreasing his day-to-day activities. The personal loan was given to James Biden for helping Americore secure an even bigger bridge loan from a hedge fund run by one of his associates, Michael Lewitt. Court documents, as well as former Americore executives, claim that James Biden convinced the firm’s leadership to sign off on both by promising he would be able to secure larger investments from Middle Eastern contacts thanks to his family’s name.
Americore, which filed for bankruptcy in late-2019, was raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) earlier this year as part of an ongoing probe into its finances and business practices. At the time, FBI agents also raided the home of Americore’s CEO, Grant White.
Even before raids, the company’s conduct had come under scrutiny after it was accused of fraud. In July 2019, Michael Frey and his business partner, Dr. Mohannad Azzam, filed a lawsuit in federal court claiming James Biden and Americore’s leadership had promised and failed to line up investors for their rural healthcare enterprise. The suit alleges, James Biden urged the two men to borrow $10 million from a hedge fund run by Lewitt, who was involved in the deal.
“The lawsuit takes direct aim at Biden, painting him as a con artist who uses his ties to his brother … to lure his victims,” the Knoxville News Sentinel reported in August 2019.
According to documents filed with the U.S. District Court, Frey and his wife developed a business model to take over rural hospitals and retrofit them to not only offer traditional hospital care, but also drug addiction and mental health treatment. After incorporating the enterprise as Diverse Medical Management, they brought on Azzam, “who contracted with nursing homes to provide medical care for seniors.”
The business model was lucrative enough that by 2017, Frey and Azzam were actively pitching it to investors and hospitals across the country. One investor particularly taken with the idea was Americore.
At the behest of Americore’s CEO, White, Frey and Azzam were urged to pitch their business plan to rural hospitals in Kentucky. It was at one such meeting the two men met James Biden, who identified himself as a “principal” at Americore.
Not long after their initial encounter, James Biden introduced the men to Lewitt, a hedge fund manager and well-known “credit strategist.” Around this time, Americore made plans to buy Diverse Medical for the sum of $7 million.
Despite the deal, Americore quickly fell behind on its scheduled payments to Frey and Azzam. It was then that James Biden and Lewitt, as detailed in the lawsuit, hatched a plan to oust White and sell Americore along with Diverse Medical to a third company called the Platinum Group. Frey and Azzam appear to have been uncomfortable with the turn the deal took, especially the notion of removing White. The men, though, went along with the plan after being told a payout was “imminent.”
“They repeatedly assured (Frey) that investment capital originating from and flowing through foreign entities was not only certain, but was imminent,” documents filed by Frey and Azzam’s attorney state.
James Biden, himself, is alleged to have tried to pacify the two men’s fears by leaning heavily on his family name and promising that their business model would “play an integral role in health care policy at the highest levels of the United States government.”
It is unclear if the purported investigation that the U.S. Attorney has into James Biden is directly connected to Frey and Azzam’s lawsuit.
Reports of a federal probe, however, come after Hunter Biden, the former vice president’s youngest son, released a statement on Wednesday admitting that his lawyers had been informed the U.S. Attorney in Delaware had opened an investigation into his “tax affairs.”
Report: Hunter Biden’s Connected to ‘Chief Spy of China’ Through His Chinese-American Secretary
A business partner Hunter Biden called “the chief spy of China,” assigned the president’s son a Chinese-American secretary who was feeding him opposition research to help Joe Biden’s 2020 election bid after the business venture collapsed in 2018, the Daily Mail reported Friday.
The Daily Mail obtained the information from emails contained in Hunter Biden’s alleged “laptop from hell,” which has become the gift that will not stop giving to critics of President Joe Biden and his troubled son.
“Under the heading ‘Uncle Joe 2020,’ the former assistant encouraged the president’s son to tell his father to ‘lead by example,’ ‘bring back sensibility,’ and emphasize his experience and age as a strength,” the newspaper added.
On Friday, the Daily Mail revealed:
After launching his multi-million-dollar joint venture with CEFC, Hunter was assigned a 29-year-old Chinese-American assistant, JiaQi Bao, who quickly struck up a close and intriguing relationship with her Biden boss.
At first, emails show the New York-based Bao diligently scheduled flights, hotels, and even doctor’s appointments for the president’s son.
But mysteriously, the young assistant also sent him opposition research to help Joe Biden’s 2020 election bid, urged him to take cash from the joint venture’s accounts as the business collapsed and wrote flirty and personal messages and even ended up with Hunter’s military dog tags in her New York apartment – the same tags he can be seen wearing in home-made porn videos he recorded on his laptop.

After the joint venture had dissolved, Bao emailed Hunter with a conspiratorial message encouraging him to help his father run for president and listing talking points to combat criticism of Hunter’s dealings with the Chinese.
After only a year, the business venture between Hunter, his uncle, and the CEFC collapsed in 2018.
A joint report by the Senate Homeland Security and Finance ommittees issued in September 2020 examined Hunter’s business deal with CEFC, noting the company’s deep ties to the communist Chinese government. It determined that the millions of dollars transferred from the firm to Hunter and his uncle “raise criminal financial, counterintelligence and extortion concerns.”
Hunter’s secretary, Bao, appeared very invested in having Joe Biden beat Donald Trump.
In a March 2019 email to Hunter, Bao told Hunter, “You need to help Uncle Joe run for president. Your father should really run for 2020 for this country. He will be one of the best presidents in our country’s history.”
Echoing China’s foreign policy, Bao reportedly promoted negative stories about Trump for Hunter to use, “including allegations of selling citizenship to corrupt Chinese officials, his alleged links to a Chinese-owned Florida “prostitution parlor,” and letting human rights violations slide in negotiations with China.
Bao also took issue with Trump’s trade war with China, reportedly lambasting it as “a complete failure thus far, resulting in tremendous loss to Americans.”
Critics expected Joe Biden to be soft towards China, and Beijing appeared to favor him over Trump.
The Daily Mail reported that it is unclear whether Bao knew of Huner’s business partner’s alleged links to the Chinese intelligence services at the time because she has not returned requests for comment on this story.
Still, it acknowledged:
After partnering with Chinese oil giant CEFC in the multi-million-dollar deal, Bao was appointed as his secretary and assistant, acting as a go-between for his Chinese business partners, translating documents and performing clerical work for Hunter in the joint venture.
Hunter did not have any problem believing his new business partner at CEFC was linked to the Chinese intelligence agencies, describing Patrick Ho to a friend in an audio recording on his laptop as the “spy chief of China.”
In December 2020, Hunter admitted that he is currently the subject of an FBI investigation, allegedly for tax crimes. However, some news reports suggest the investigators may also be scrutinizing his dealings overseas.
The business venture between Hunter and CEFC collapsed in 2018, just a year after the president’s son and brother, uncle Jim, joined the deal under the impression it would yield billions of dollars.
After Hunter called his business partner “the chief spy in China,” U.S. law enforcement reportedly surveilled the Chinese businessman later as a “foreign intelligence threat” before his conviction for bribery in 2018.
“Ho was suspected of working with the Chinese intelligence services and had been monitored by federal law enforcement under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act,” the Daily Mail noted, citing court documents.
The Daily Mail added:
As Hunter’s joint venture with the Chinese began to crumble that month amid the arrests of its two leaders, Bao wrote one of her most surprising emails encouraging him to raid the coffers of one of Hunter and CEFC’s joint corporate vehicles called Hudson West.
At one point, she even offered for Hunter not to pay her for her “secretary” work.

As CEFC started to collapse, Hunter Biden's assistant encouraged him to withdraw money from the accounts held by the company. Further, the company's Secretary General was known as the "spy chief of China."
Hunter and Joe Biden's brother Jim partnered with CEFC in 2017, in a deal that was meant to generate billions of dollars and create a string of oil and gas projects in the Middle East and Europe.
But the joint venture collapsed the following year when CEFC's secretary general Patrick Ho was arrested and later convicted of bribery in a US federal prosecution.
Ho was suspected of working with the Chinese intelligence services, and had been monitored by federal law enforcement under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, court documents revealed.

Hunter remains under investigation by the FBI, but his attorneys maintain he did nothing illegal.
Despite Joe Biden promising voters his family would not be involved in foreign business dealings while he was in the White House, Hunter Biden still owns stake in another Chinese company.
"No one in my family will have an office in the White House, will sit in on meetings as if they are a cabinet member, will, in fact, have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country," then former Vice President Joe Biden said in October 2019.

The Biden scandals didn’t disappear when Joe Biden entered the Oval Office, as I wrote in this op-ed for The Washington Times:
A president takes office amidst charges of family corruption and shady business dealings with a country connected to interfering in the very election that put him in the White House. Sound familiar?
The false narrative that Democrats concocted to hobble the Trump administration four years ago is now the real deal with Joe Biden and his family. And unlike President Trump, who faced unprecedented institutional resistance and Deep State resistance, President Biden can likely count on the Justice Department and the media to allow him to escape meaningful scrutiny.
Judicial Watch recently started a petition at Change.org asking the Department of Justice immediately to appoint a special counsel to investigate Biden family dealings in China, Ukraine and other countries. There is substantial evidence, from documents and witness statements, that the Biden family, including President Joe Biden, may have been involved in criminal activity with foreign entities tied to Ukraine and China. In just a few days the petition has garnered nearly 200,000 signatures.
Judicial Watch uncovered documents that show even as far back as the Obama administration Russia-linked media in Ukraine were “trolling” Joe Biden over “his son’s business.” Mr. Biden’s son Hunter has acknowledged that he is the target of an FBI criminal investigation. Any investigation should involve alleged money laundering, influence peddling and tax violations among other shady activities.
A special counsel is required because the Justice Department and its FBI are conflicted in investigating any matters that could implicate the president and/or his immediate family in criminal activity. As Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas said recently, “if there were ever circumstances that create a conflict of interest and call for a special counsel, that’s here.” Justice Department regulations that were abused to appoint a special counsel to harass then-President Trump actually do fairly apply to the Biden situation. A special counsel is required by Justice regulations when:
(a) That investigation or prosecution of that person or matter by a United States Attorney’s Office or litigating Division of the Department of Justice would present a conflict of interest for the Department or other extraordinary circumstances; and
(b) That under the circumstances, it would be in the public interest to appoint an outside Special Counsel to assume responsibility for the matter.
The matter is urgent. Americans just learned that communist China was actively involved in the 2020 presidential election. Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, in a letter transmitted to Congress, concluded that “based on all available sources of intelligence, with definitions consistently applied, and reached independent of political considerations or undue pressure — that the People’s Republic of China sought to influence the 2020 U.S. federal elections.”
Chinese efforts to interfere in the 2020 election might have been better known before election days but for Deep State resistance. Intelligence Community Ombudsman Barry Zulauf found that CIA analysts were reluctant to reveal China’s malign actions because they were opposed to the Trump administration, and were “saying in effect, I don’t want our intelligence used to support those policies.” In fact, “strong efforts” were made last summer to suppress analysts who wanted to expose the full range of Chinese efforts to swing the election to Mr. Biden.
We are already seeing China indirectly benefitting from Biden policies. Cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline will divert Canadian oil west to the petroleum-hungry People’s Republic. Re-entering the Paris Climate Agreement gives political cover to China’s excessively polluting dirty coal industry, in which Hunter Biden is heavily invested. Mr. Biden’s State Department on Day One removed a page on its web site that contained a comprehensive assessment of the threats China poses to the U.S. and its allies, and an emboldened Beijing slapped outrageous sanctions on outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and 27 other former Trump officials. Does China have corrupt leverage over President Biden?
Given the years of investigations costing millions of dollars to delve into fake Russia collusion accusations against Trump world, the American people deserve to know what China was up to with Joe Biden, especially when Beijing had already shelled out millions of dollars to Biden family members — including millions in set-asides for “the big guy.” What else is on that infamous Hunter Biden laptop? The conflicted Biden Justice Department cannot be trusted to engage in any meaningful oversight on this issue. We need a special counsel now.
Exclusive — Sen. Bill Hagerty: ‘China Is Singing All the Way to the Bank’ Thanks to Joe Biden’s Policies
Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) told Breitbart News exclusively that the Chinese Communist Party is “singing all the way to the bank” thanks to President Joe Biden’s various policies in his first two weeks in office.
Hagerty, in an exclusive interview on Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM 125 the Patriot Channel, said that Biden’s orders closing down the Keystone XL pipeline and shutting down leases for drilling on federal lands embolden China and undermine the United States.
“Broadly look at what the Biden Administration is doing on energy,” Hagerty said. “By canceling the Keystone XL pipeline, Biden is giving a huge gift to China. Look at what it did to Canada. If Canada can’t move their oil through the XL pipeline, they’re going to sell it to China. Well, guess what? China now has a huge store of oil headed its way courtesy of the Biden administration. And this Paris Climate Accord that they want to get back into? That’s going to put an immediate burden on the U.S. economy. China is not going to have to comply anywhere in the near term. Theirs was the only economy that grew last year. Ours didn’t. They’re going to put more burden on us while China is singing all the way to the bank thanks to the Biden administration. So we have some real reasons to be concerned.”
The Chinese have another friend in Biden’s selection for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas Greenfield, Hagerty said. A speech that Greenfield gave to a Confucius Institute event in 2019 that surfaced last week saw her praising the Chinese Communist Party’s Belt and Road Initiative in Africa. Hagerty argued that CCP Belt and Road efforts compromised the man who would become the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, by trapping his native Ethiopia in debt.
“Look at this U.N. representative that they put forward, Linda Thomas Greenfield, she clearly doesn’t get it,” Hagerty said. “She’s praising China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Africa. Look no further than Ethiopia and what happened there with this Belt and Road Initiative. When Dr. Tedros was the health minister and the foreign minister, the Ethiopian government took billions of dollars in the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative. Then, when it was necessary, China had Dr. Tedros running the WHO and he stepped right up and parroted their line and helped cover up the pandemic when they wanted him to do it. This is textbook debt trap diplomacy, they’re using their influence for nefarious means, and I cannot imagine a U.N. representative who does not understand that.”
Asked about the speech and whether it could jeopardize Greenfield’s confirmation prospects in the U.S. Senate, where Democrats have a narrow majority in the 50-50 split chamber when Vice President Kamala Harris v0otes to break the tie, Hagerty said he thinks she could.
“I think this speech and that it’s come to light—given at a Confucius Institute no less, she was paid by the Chinese to give this speech—the naïveté that her position underscores is extremely disturbing and I think it’s going to make it very difficult for her to get confirmed,” Hagerty said. “If you think about 2019 as you mentioned, the whole world knew about China was doing with the Belt and Road. You and I talked about what they did in Sri Lanka with that deep water port. They put a tremendous amount of debt on a small country, Sri Lanka, built a second deep water port that the country didn’t need, they foreclosed on it before it was even finished and they never even moved the Chinese workers, they speak Chinese at that port right now, they operate under Chinese law, and it’s along one of the busiest most strategic shipping lanes in the world. They know what they’re doing. They’re going into these small countries and like I mentioned with Ethiopia and they’re pushing their influence. They’re putting a tremendous amount of debt, which gives them leverage. For her not to understand or see that is deeply concerning.”
While there are definitely policies, comments, and actions from Biden himself on down through several of his top administration officials signaling a softening towards Beijing, Hagerty did say there are some in the Biden administration, like Secretary of State Tony Blinken, who seem to understand the threat.
“It’s a mixed bag. I think Secretary Blinken does have a much more clear-eyed view about what’s happening than most members of the Biden administration,” Hagerty said. “He and I talked about this at length. He’s acknowledged Secretary Pompeo’s designation of the Chinese as committing genocide with the Uyghurs there. That’s correct. Secretary Blinken was right to acknowledge that. He was also right to acknowledge the Trump administration largely got it right on China. I was pleased at the inauguration, the Biden Administration invited the Taiwanese rep to come to the inauguration—that sent a strong message, even stronger frankly is sending the USS Teddy Roosevelt into the waters off of Taiwan to push back against Chinese military aggression there with the Taiwanese and that incredibly important ally there. But if you look at it more broadly, I don’t think Biden gets it. You look back to the campaign, he said ‘oh China is not our competition come on man!’”
Hagerty on Wednesday introduced a series of amendments to the budget resolution in the Senate, including some specifically targeting the CCP. He and his office are hoping for bipartisan support behind these measures, including ones that would “end the inappropriate classification of China by international organizations that gives China an advantage over America and enhance accountability at those organizations” and “ensure that the United States leads other nations in holding China accountable for engaging in genocide and crimes against humanity with respect to Uyghurs in the Xinjiang Province of China.” These are the first amendments Hagerty, a freshman senator just elected in November, has offered as a U.S. Senator. Others include protections for American workers from open borders and amnesty immigration policies, efforts to preserve former President Donald Trump’s wall along the U.S. border with Mexico, and support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.
In his interview on Breitbart News Saturday, Hagerty again ripped the Biden administration for its energy orders, saying that they will empower the Chinese Communist Party
“The first and the most immediate concern is the fact that Biden is killing jobs. He’s killing American jobs at a time when we’re trying to recover from a pandemic-driven recession,” he said. “Who would do this? He’s doing exactly that. Energy independence was one of the biggest strategic victories of the Trump administration. I worked very hard to get the Japanese to invest in infrastructure to become an importer of U.S. energy. We would certainly want our allies to be utilizing U.S. energy rather than Russian energy or energy from other nations that don’t have our best interests at heart. That was a very powerful strategic tool for us, a very powerful strategic step. Biden wants to make us now dependent on nations again that don’t have our best interests at heart. He wants to make us energy dependent on foreign countries and wants to get us the oil we would otherwise be doing business here lowering our costs of doing business, lowering our output costs, lowering the cost of gas at the pump for American citizens—he wants to raise that price and send the benefit to China because the Chinese are going to get the oil that the Canadians will no longer be selling to us. This is ludicrous. It’s killing American jobs. It’s damaging our economy. It’s strengthening our strategic competitors and weakening us in the process.”
Overall, Hagerty said, the Biden Administration policies amount to an effort by the Democrats to again silence the so-called “forgotten man” that led to former President Donald Trump’s rise in 2016.
“It is just amazing. That’s why the Trump administration and our policies toward places like China, toward security, toward things like immigration, resonated so much within America and certainly within my home state of Tennessee,” Hagerty said. “The forgotten man, forgotten woman, the forgotten citizen has been extremely concerned about this. This amnesty program, not only is it unfair to our workers, it’s only going to invite more and more illegal immigration because they’re moving the wrong direction on border security as well. They’re just going to invite more of this cheating and more downward pressure on the American worker. This is absolutely a wrongheaded policy and as you say we’ve got this COVID pandemic to put behind us yet they’re focused on all of these policies. By encouraging and even creating an incentive for more people to flood in across that border rather than securing it, we will have an even harder time combatting the pandemic and getting out of it.”

If you watch the above clip, what you’ll see is a Beijing-based professor bragging about China’s ability to settle affairs with the United States in their favor. But it’s his admission that that’s only possible because the CCP has people placed he calls “old friends” in upper positions of power across the influence sectors in the country. He’s obviously talking about government inroads, but he also specifically mentions someone being the vice president at a major Wall Street firm. At another point, he notes an American woman who now has dual Chinese citizenship and lives part of the year in Beijing. Why that’s important is that the communist nation does not allow dual citizenship. You do the math on that.
Things got more damning, though. The professor goes on to talk specifically about President Trump and how he’s blown up China’s ability to control American interests and bend them in their favor. The trade war is specifically mentioned here, with it being noted that Wall Street “tried to help” but couldn’t do much because Trump held an adversarial position against the financial institutions in question. Unsurprisingly, we hear about how easy Barack Obama’s administration was to manipulate in comparison. The professor even brags about having so many people near the levers of power during that time, but they couldn’t “fix Trump” in his words.
That’s when things get really explosive, though. Carlson plays one final clip in which the professor, obviously relieved, says that now Joe Biden has been elected. That leads him to say that Trump has claimed Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, ran some kind of “global foundation.” He then makes a stunning admission that yes, the Chinese are the ones who funded that and that there are many “deals” in all of it.
As Carlson quips, now you know exactly why we the mainstream media and social media immediately sought to quash the Hunter Biden story with such force. The Chinese have compromised so many people at the top, including in our media structure, that the story simply couldn’t be allowed to live despite it being true. And keep in mind, if there was ever a video like this targeting Eric Trump or another Trump family member, for example, it would be the lead story on every network for months as proof of foreign interference.
The segment ends with an assertion that Joe Biden has been compromised, and that’s exactly correct. There hasn’t been a more China-friendly politician in the last 30 years than Biden. With his probable swearing-in on the horizon, the communists are rejoicing. That should tell you just how big a mistake it was to let him anywhere near the presidency.
Senate Committees Drop New Report on Hunter Biden, Alarming Connections to China
The Republican led Senate Finance and Homeland Security Committees published a new and lengthy report Tuesday evening further detailing national security concerns related to Hunter Biden's shady foreign dealings in China and Ukraine.
"The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC) and the Senate Committee on Finance undertook this investigation into potential conflicts of interest, and the involvement of the Biden family in foreign business ventures while Joe Biden was vice president, following allegations that the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy could have been affected by Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma, and that family members may have improperly sought to benefit from their relationship with the vice president," the report states.
The Committees found the relationship between the Biden family, through Hunter and former Vice President Joe Biden's brother James, is deeply connected to the Chinese Communist Party.
"Hunter Biden and Devon Archer engaged in numerous financial transactions with Chinese nationals who had deep connections to the Communist Chinese government. These Chinese nationals included Ye Jianming, founder of CEFC China Energy Co. Ltd (CEFC) and chairman of the board for its subsidiary, the China Energy Fund Committee (CE Fund). They also included Gongwen Dong, who was Ye Jianming’s associate and reportedly executed transactions for his companies. Ye’s connections to the Communist government are extensive and, as explained below, he has been previous affiliations with the People’s Liberation Army. Based on the information received by the Committees, Ye was also financially connected to Vice President Biden’s brother, James Biden. Thus, there exists a vast web of corporate connections and financial transactions between and among the Biden family and Chinese nationals," the report states. "Hunter Biden has extensive connections to Chinese businesses and Chinese foreign nationals that are linked to the Communist government. Those contacts bore financial fruit when his father was vice president and after he left office."
"The records acquired by the Committees show consistent, significant and extensive financial connections among and between Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sara Biden, Devon Archer, and Chinese nationals connected to the Communist regime and PLA as well as other foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds. These connections and the vast amount of money transferred among and between them don’t just raise conflicts of interest concerns, they raise criminal financial, counterintelligence and extortion concerns. The Committees will continue to evaluate the evidence in their possession," the report concludes.
Meanwhile, a Chinese professor in Beijing boasted this week that the Chinese Communist Party now has connections at the highest levels and within the most elite circles of American government.

Our Democrat Rulers Can't Be Serious
Tennis great John McEnroe was well known for his mercurial personality and unrestrained outbursts when he felt that a close call wrongly hadn't gone his way. His use of the phrase "you cannot be serious" has become sports lore.
The current-day Democratic Party has pioneered new ground in eliciting McEnroe-like responses. They cannot be serious. That phrase can be taken two ways, and both interpretations would be correct. It could be taken to mean that Democratic governing policies are not serious, responsible approaches to meet the complex and conflicting demands of our multifaceted economy, the challenges of an ever-shifting international landscape, or the real-world requirement to balance the demand for energy and natural resources with the necessity to protect and preserve the environment.
It could also be taken to mean that the Democrats are not serious in their publicly stated beliefs regarding their commitment to their own policies: Democratic stances on everything, from their anti-capitalistic economic positions to over-the-top social wokeness to anti–law enforcement actions to capitulating to international adversaries like Communist China and Iran, are so outrageously harmful to American interests that even the Democrats know they're wrong. They don't seriously believe any of it — they can't. They're just promoting these positions in a blatantly transparent attempt to curry favor with needed voting blocs in future elections. It's a nod-nod, wink-wink of the most insidious and deceitful kind, and the Dems are banking on their target blocs not being hip to the ruse. One can clearly, and no doubt accurately, imagine the Maxine Waterses, Kamala Harrises, and Chuck Schumers of the world sitting in their opulent surroundings, enjoying Dom Périgon jelly doughnuts while sipping 100-year-old brandy, saying to each other, "Well, they bought it again," with a dismissive, condescending smirk.
There are various examples of this from the current Democrat script. Many — most, actually — of their public statements and talking points fall into the "not serious" category, both from the not-seriously-thought-out policy standpoint and the so-outrageous-even-they-don't-believe-it standpoint.
Let's look at a few:
Tlaib's Wish to Eliminate the Police
Michigan representative Rashida Tlaib says she wants to do away with policing in the United States. Following the April encounter between Daunte Wright and police that ended in Wright's shooting, Tlaib said, "I am done with those who condone government-funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can't be reformed."
Tlaib, like all Democrats who call for defunding the police or for more restrictive gun laws and the like, lives in a low-crime, affluent area and enjoys the personal safety benefits of armed security. Unsurprisingly, she is a total hypocrite. Her statements are not serious on any level, not as a matter of public policy and not as they pertain to her. Her utterance is meant as a self-serving, publicity-grabbing instrument, to solidify her voting base and make her required payments to the sympathetic liberal media.
Ed Markey and the Green New Deal
Ed Markey — the 45-year D.C. lifer — could be considered the quintessential liberal NE Democrat politician. He transparently espouses every clichéd liberal Democratic policy position that comes down the pike. He never puts forth any new, thoughtful, genuinely helpful initiatives of his own. (Remember the groundbreaking "Markey Act"? Of course not — it doesn't exist.) His entire political existence is one of self-perpetuation, to live off the public dole. He brazenly resides full-time in a luxurious home in suburban Maryland, maintaining a barely plausible legal mailing address in Massachusetts, just to be able to run for his guaranteed re-election.
As a dynamic, influential, important politician, Markey is meaningless. Empty. Irrelevant. He collects his government dough, lives worry-free, and has the dictionary definition of a "cushy life."
Yet apparently, even empty vessels like Markey occasionally feel the need to attach themselves to something that might convey some visibility and substance onto their otherwise vacant countenances. Hence, Markey is all of a sudden a major proponent of the risible Green New Deal. His own connection to the GND fandango would be utterly humiliating to him if he had the self-awareness to see it. The GND is a fantastical "what-if/if only" environmental pipe dream, conceived of by too-young, completely immature and uneducated political neophytes, without the slightest clue of either economic realities or scientific facts. That some older politicians like Markey — bereft of any other substantive causes that can be credited to them in spite of seemingly endless decades in office — glom onto this movement is astonishingly unserious in every way imaginable. You know that Markey doesn't believe this hooey, not for a nanosecond. He's just trying to appear relevant.

Granted, with her penchant for hyena-like uncontrolled cackling outbursts at socially inopportune times and her remarkably inarticulate, unintellectual manner, Madame Vice President is not exactly the picture of a serious anything. Yet, even by her admittedly low standards, trying to foist blame for this administration's utter failure at the southern border on something so conspicuously unconnected to illegal immigration as so-called "climate change" is the perfect illustration of everything about the "Biden" presidency that is so frighteningly imbecilic.
We knew when we were watching John McEnroe play tennis 40 years ago that we were watching something special, a competitive talent that would live on in our consciousness, long into the future. But no one knew at the time how prophetic and forward-looking his famous phrase would become.
As in 2016, Democrats advance a corrupt ruling-class candidate. Like the dead man Gary Ernst, Democrats want people to vote for Joe Biden so they can swap him out for Kamala Harris, already a beneficiary of voter fraud and with the exception of Xavier Becerra possibly the worst attorney general in California history.
Voter Fraud Plus Bait-and-Switch Equals Tyranny
Lessons from 2016.
The 2020 election battle has left millions of voters in a state of confusion. For a sense of clarity, they might recall a significant race from 2016.
“Voters in Oceanside, Calif., have chosen a dead man over a woman, re-electing Gary Ernst as city treasurer despite the fact that Ernst died in September,” reported National Public Radio on November 10, 2016. Challenger Nadine Scott charged that Oceanside councilman Jerry Kern urged voters to choose the dead man so he could hand-pick a successor. Kern acknowledged as much a week after the death of Ernst, telling ABC news, “vote for him anyway, because that way we can get somebody that’s qualified there.” That presages a key feature of the 2020 election.
As their candidate for president of the United States, Democrats selected Joe Biden, 77, a 47-year Senate veteran and loser in 1988 and 2008 presidential bids. In 2020, Biden says he’s running for the Senate, doesn’t know his location and claims 200 million Americans have died from Covid. And so on.
Joe may be above ground, but to all but the willfully blind he is completely incapable of carrying out the duties of the presidency, the most difficult job in the world. Democrats selected Biden for the same reason Jerry Kern urged votes for dead man Gary Ernst. They wanted to get somebody else in the office.
That would be Kamala Harris, supposedly qualified as an intersectional “woman of color.” Harris is a favorite of the “composite character” president formerly known as Barry Soetoro, who called her the “best looking attorney general in the country.” That invites a look at the way Harris became attorney general of California, and its relevance to the current campaign.
Democrat queenmaker Willie Brown also thought Harris, 30 years his junior, was good looking. In a daring act of poontronage, Brown set up Harris in lucrative sinecures and backed her runs for San Francisco district attorney and state attorney general in 2010.
Harris was so lightly regarded that the Sacramento Bee, a veritable Democrat newsletter, backed Republican Steve Cooley. On election night Cooley claimed victory, but pro-Harris SEIU drones harvested enough ballots to give Harris a “lead” of less than one percent, and the race was called in her favor. It was blatant, voter fraud of the same brand Democrats now deploy. They halt crucial vote counts that favors Trump and dredge up ballots for Biden, many delivered by the postal workers union that endorsed Biden, who helpfully clarified the issue.
In an October 24 video, Biden bragged that he had created, “the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.” The Democrat front-man got help from California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a crony of Nancy Pelosi. In March, Newsom deployed emergency powers to order ballots sent to every registered voter, which includes at least one million illegals registered to vote through the DMV “motor voter” plan.
On November 2, a judge ruled Newsom’s order “an unconstitutional exercise of legislative power,” too late to stop the illegals from voting. At this writing the massive fraud continues, and evokes other memories of 2016.
“Last time, in 2016, the establishment was not ready for Donald Trump,” writes Roger Kimball at American Greatness. “This time they knew it was not only possible but probable, and they prepared accordingly.” That includes the massive voter fraud openly touted by Biden and the bait-and-switch hailed by Nancy Pelosi, who announced that the bid to deploy the 25th Amendment had nothing to do with Trump. Victor Davis Hanson was already onto it.
From day one, the Democrats would begin the process of deposing Biden in favor of Harris. Biden was simply the front man, and he knew pollsters would rig the numbers to show him with a massive lead. The establishment media confirmed they had learned nothing.
Fox News polls were among the worst and on election night, as Kimball noted, Fox refused to call Florida for Trump even after he had won the state. They called Arizona for Biden when it still in play, with lines at the polls. Two days after the election, Fox refused to call Alaska and other states for Trump, even though the president’s win was clear.
Mark Levin, Jesse Waters, Judge Jeannine and Tucker Carlson are on to the Democrats’ scam, but the most astute of all may be Tyrus. As he announced on the Greg Gutfeld show in 2016, the Democrats “got their asses kicked” but “claimed they gained more yards.” In 2020 Trump is again kicking ass but Democrats bring in fake ballots by the truckload.

Kamala Harris can't keep staff
Steven Hayward at Power Line has a prescient observation about the unflattering exposé of Kamala Harris that ran in The Atlantic two days ago:

Harris has been an elected official for 18 years straight, but she has only a few senior aides on staff who have worked for her for more than a few months. Turf battles have been a recurring feature of Harris offices over the years, but her newest circle believes it is finally getting her on track after years of past staffers not serving her well. Some have been surprised at how much work there is to be done, whether that's briefing her on certain policy issues or helping her improve her sparring-with-journalists skills.
The problem isn't "turf battles." It is always a bad sign when a politician can't good keep staff (or any staff), and Harris has long been known for being a terrible boss, going back to her time as California Attorney General. When you can't keep eager political staff ...
Briefing her on policy issues? Hard to do when she's such a lazy person, interested only in wokester posturing, talking about her "story," posing for Vogue photo spreads, thrilling the crochet circles, or whining about her home decorating dilemmas. Policy to Kamala is for the birds.
Hayward is right about politicians who can't keep good staff on hand and that being a bad reflection on their capacity to lead. Eric Hoffer once noted that the reason Stalin was able to best Trotsky for the supreme leadership of the Soviet dictatorship was because of his capacity to retain the loyalty of a group of able lieutenants. Kamala, while certainly wanting to be dictator of a vast left-wing empire, same as Stalin, hasn't grasped that critical element that allows such things to happen to whoever eventually ends up being the most equal animal. Biden has — he has some very long-serving lieutenants, such as secretary of state Tony Blinken, and he seems to have forged some kind of closeness to far-left Susan Rice from the Obama administration days, too. There are plenty of others. Kamala, though, seems to be poison to staff, and apparently, they flee when they get a chance to flee. She's got a big staff — 184 people, based on this listing from Legistorm, a site about politicians.
Here's one — you can click on any, I clicked on this one — Christian Carolina Becerra, a contributor to Teen Vogue whose bio says she's a budding politician of the leftist stripe, and a Kamala Harris alum, not staffer, according to her apparent Twitter bio. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know her, but I notice she doesn't advertise that Kamala experience high on her LinkedIn page, making me wonder if she got the heck out of Dodge from Kamala's crew and doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
Two things leap out from past news stories about Harris that might explain why she is so baleful to staff that they get out of their positions as if it were a garage filling with carbon monoxide as an idle engine runs.
One, she seems to hire a lot of crummy people in top posts.
Recall that she hired a top aide for law enforcement matters during her days as California's attorney general named Larry Wallace, whose sexual harassment escapades included making young staffers in dresses crawl down under his desk to "fix his printer" so that he could ogle their underwear — so the sex harassment suits that followed said. According to Fox News:
A senior adviser to U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., resigned Wednesday over inquiries about a $400,000 harassment lawsuit against him while working at the California Department of Justice.
Larry Wallace resigned after the Sacramento Bee asked about the 2017 settlement, the paper reported.
"We were unaware of this issue and take accusations of harassment extremely seriously," Harris spokeswoman Lily Adams said. "This evening, Mr. Wallace offered his resignation to the senator, and she accepted it."
There was a $400,000 payout for those, courtesy of the California taxpayers, yet Kamala claimed to know nothing. So she hired a guy like this, yet knew so little about what this guy was doing in the office she was supposed to be in charge of that the staff got harmed. And that's only assuming she told the truth about her ignorance of the matter; there's certainly a loud argument that she didn't. How many other creeps like this has she hired? Anybody asking? She sure as heck doesn't pay attention to what such people do to the staff. It's not unimaginable to wonder if there are other kinds of bad bosses among these Kamala staffers, sexual creeps, or maybe just corrupt, or mean people, hired by Kamala herself, given her own penchant for inattention and corner-cutting of her own. The leader sets the example.
Two, she seems to treat her staff badly on the compensation front. Here's a piece about how aides forced to transfer to Iowa to save her flailing presidential campaign, after voters decided that the more they heard from her, the less they liked her, were told to expect a salary cut. Way to motivate them, Kams.
Three, her management style is completely chaotic, making any operation she's involved with a crony affair at best. Her sister Maya is apparently the go-to person according to assorted negative reports in the press. Staff disarray was the big factor preceding her dropout from the U.S. presidential election in late 2019, with Kamala not winning a single delegate in the primaries, and certainly no victory of any kind in Iowa. The Kamala crew apparently ganged up on one staffer, campaign manager Juan Rodriguez, blaming him for all of Kamala's errors while denying him any credit for things he did right. Who'd want to work for someone like that?
Seems that being around Kamala is a hideous experience, given the slew of news stories coming out.
This raises another question: why is the mainstream press seemingly bringing out all these negative stories about Kamala? Might it be that the media realize they've got a lemon in her when they manage to push senile old Joe out to pasture and need a replacement? Could be most anything — best thing to do now is watch for that motive.

Harris’s most important contribution to the Supreme Court debate thus far has been her controversial attempt to smear Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing in 2018.

Harris is no friend of religious liberty.
